f1gossip Let the gossip begin! As we all know, Y/N L/N used to date Charles Leclerc and then broke up amicably in 2021. In 2023 she was spotted back in the paddock, hand-in-hand with Lando Norris. As for Charles Leclerc, he too, introduced his new girlfriend Alexandra Saint Mleux in 2023.

Now, what is the gossip you might ask? Well, Y/N and Alexandra used to be besties! The pair were very close, from comments in each others posts (even those with Charles in them, messy, we know) to various pictures of them hanging out.

You got out your phone when you got a notification, chuckling as you realised that you never changed Max's contact name in your phone after the break up. Not that it mattered - most of your communication happened on Instagram or in person after your break up. You quickly removed the silly little heart emojis you had put there before reading the messages.

Maxie: Hey you, have you still got the same number?

You: Yessir I do indeed

Maxie: Great, how are my babies?

You: Great! Currently asleep together on my bed

You: Little angels

Maxie: Awwe. I'll be over in 15 to get them, thank you for the emergency babysitting

Max: So glad they're calm with someone 🙄🙄

You: Max, I'm always the favourite, know your place

You: Okay, I'm making dinner for tonight, come over whenever. Boys aren't here yet btw

You: Lasagne

"So," Max started as he made himself comfortable, having immediately started sitting on your kitchen counter once he entered your house. "They've not been too bad, no?"

You continued to chop the carrots as you shook your head. "They've been absolute treasures. As usual."

"Hm." He shrugged, sipping the drink you made him. "They're never treasures for me."

"Maybe I'm the favourite."

He chuckled sarcastically to that. "You wish."

You looked him straight in the eyes, smiling sweetly before dropping it to a monotone look. “Are you gonna make yourself useful or are you just going to continue to sit there looking pretty?”

“You think I’m pretty?”

You looked at him, watching the soft smile appear on his lips. You grinned, not missing a beat before replying, “The prettiest princess of them all.”

“Oh fuck you,” he responded, groaning and sipping more wine. He then placed his glass back on the counter before getting down. “What can I help with?”

“Can you start cooking the meat?” You asked, and he nodded, not even hesitating to question you, having seen you make this recipe many times before. You both began to cook together.

As you stood side by side in the kitchen, the familiarity of your movements was unmistakable. The way you  effortlessly passed each other ingredients, the unspoken communication as you both worked in sync - it was as if no time had passed since you and Max had last cooked together.

The clinking of pots and pans, the sizzle of ingredients hitting the hot pan, and the fragrant aroma of your ex’s favourite dish filled the air, evoking memories of the countless meals you had prepared together in the past. The only thing that was different was the fact that the soft music which used to be in the background to stop the silence was replaced with chatter and laughter from the other room.

As you chopped, stirred and seasoned, the pair of you found yourselves slipping into easy conversation, reminiscing about the times that they had spent in the kitchen together. Laughter and occasional shared jokes filled the space, creating an atmosphere of warmth and companionship which made it clear to both of you that your bond had not diminished with the end of your relationship. 

The fact that he remembered your culinary habits made it easy to fall back into the old rhythm, ensuring that you didn’t get into each other’s ways. He still acted the same whilst cooking too, placing his hand on the small of your back when he moved behind you to keep you from bumping into him, high fiving you when he remembered a step without you having to remind him, him double and triple checking that he set the timer. It all felt so… familiar.

Everyone loved your food, especially Lewis, who claimed you had just made him the best vegan lasagne he had ever tried. That cheered you up a lot. The evening was going great. You, Max, Charles, Lando, Lewis, George, and Daniel all ended the evening by playing some games, going between Mario Kart, Fifa, GTA and other video games, to board games. 

“Oh fuck you,” Max said as he landed on one of Daniel’s properties, Bond Street, which had a hotel on.

“Shh, you’ll wake the kids.”

Max looked at you weird when you said that until he noticed the two cats who had fallen asleep on your lap. “Sorry.”

It wasn’t long after that that you realised that, maybe monopoly was getting a little too heated, so you all retired to your respective bedrooms for the night, as they were all sleeping over. You were happy that these sleepover nights with the boys were becoming a more regular thing. You used to do it when you and Max were still together with you, Max, Daniel and Charles in the apartment you had together at the time. You would, obviously, both use your bedroom and Daniel and Charles would share. Times were very different now, though. 

You laid in bed for hours, attempting so desperately to sleep, but it didn’t work. No matter how hard you tried, you really couldn’t sleep. So you gave up. You sat reading for a bit before heading downstairs to grab a drink. Walking into the kitchen, you were surprised to see an oh-so-familiar man. He looked at you, noticing the look in your eyes and simply picking up the vodka he brought, pouring two glasses and sitting on the floor, tapping the space beside him. You joined him. 

He took a sip of his drink before speaking. “You look tired,” he observed. His Monegasque accent was a lot stronger when he was tired and not sober. He watched you lean your head back against the cabinet door after drinking some of the vodka in your glass. “Not sleeping well again?”

You shook your head, chuckling softly. “When do I ever?”

Charles took note of the slightly pained look on your face, stress evident in your eyes. He was silent for a few moments, before finally speaking again. “Is it about Max?”

You nodded, arms falling onto your lap as you felt a fluffy presence make himself very comfortable on your lap. “Hey little one,” you said, looking at Jimmy, who was clearly very comfortable. “Everything we do is reminding me. Everything. Every single time I look at him, every time he hugs me goodbye or smiles at me, or hell, even just looks at me. I feel like it’s killing me. It just... I don’t know. My therapist is on holiday for the next couple of weeks and I think the fact that I won’t be able to talk about this with them makes it worse and I can’t talk to anyone except you, because no-one except you knows and it’s just...” You tried to find the words to describe what you were thinking.

“Shit?” He suggested. 

“Shit.” You agreed, drinking more of your vodka, sniffling softly as you let go of your emotions. 

“Have you thought about telling him?”

You shrugged. “I want to, it’s just never a good time to get emotional. I feel weird being so open with him, you know? Like I know I need to tell him, I really do, but it’s so fucking difficult.”

You heard someone clear his throat in the doorway, head snapping around to see Lando. “Bad time? I can come back. Sorry, I just wanted to get some water quickly.”

“No no, we were finishing our conversation and Charles was about to head up to bed, right Charles?” You asked, noticing how hard he had been trying not to yawn.

“Yes.” He gave you a hug, leaning to your ear to whisper “try and get some sleep, we will continue this when you’re sober, alright?” You nodded, standing up as he left.

The kitchen was silent whilst Lando filled his cup with water. He turned, noticing your red eyes. His voice was soft when he finally spoke, comforting. “Have you been crying?”

You quickly ran your hand over your face, downing the rest of your vodka. “I’m fine, Lan. Don’t you worry about me.”

“Okay. I don’t believe you but I don’t want to make you uncomfortable by pushing it.” He leant in to give you a soft hug, before pulling away. “I hope you end up being able to tell this mystery guy whatever you need to tell him. I’m here if you ever need me.”

“Thank you, Lan,” you responded softly, placing a friendly kiss on his forehead before you left the room, returning to your bedroom and finally managing to get some sleep.

The morning came quickly and you were awoken by laughter downstairs. Sitting up, you took a moment to run your hand through your hair before getting up and going to shower, after which you headed downstairs.

“She lives,” Daniel sarcastically stated, grinning at you as you walked into the room.

“Good morning, Daniel. I'm going to get a drink,” you responded, walking straight past the group and into the kitchen, grabbing a monster from the fridge and opening it. 

“Only a few months with your new team and you're already being a traitor, I see.” 

You turned to look at Max, who was smiling softly as you stared at him, drinking the monster without breaking your eye contact. He chuckled, rolling his eyes dramatically at you. “Did you sleep alright?”

“Yeah, I slept great.” You were lying, of course, but he didn't need to know that. He would question it if you told the truth. “How about you?”

“I slept alright. Didn't fall asleep until like 3 hours after we went upstairs,” he replied, sipping his (shock horror) redbull.

You both continued to make friendly small talk for a little while. “Hey, Max. Do you think I could talk to you about something?” You asked, a little quieter than you had been speaking.

“Of course. You look serious, what is it?”

“Well,” you were quickly cut off by Daniel, who leaned his head around the doorway. 

“We're playing Fifa, are you two joining?”

You looked at Max. Max turned to Daniel. “Yeah just give us a moment and we'll be out, we're both quickly going to grab breakfast.” Daniel nodded before retreating. Max looked at you. “As you were saying?”

You shrugged. “It's nothing important. It can wait. Let's just get our food and go play fifa.”

He placed his hand on your upper arm, causing you to look into his eyes. He started speaking softly, lovingly, in Dutch. “Schat, if you want to, we can talk now. You look stressed and talking about how you feel is so much more important to me than Fifa.”

You felt your breath hitch, a spark of warmth where his finger laid on your arms. You looked at him, watching the way his eyes travelled your face, almost as if he was committing how you looked this close to memory. His eyes were dilated, and he had an expression on his face that you couldn't quite read. “Max.” Your voice was soft, almost breathless. “It's fine, seriously. It can wait.” You smiled, a genuine smile, causing him to nod, before smiling and retreating to the living room. Fuck.

Actually, as a thank you to all of y'all, I've come up with a fun fact for each of the characters. Not all of their designs or concepts have been properly revealed yet, but some of these facts might hint to them/tell you outright :]

-Anne Maria was the most difficult character to wrap my head around, until I started taking inspiration from fictional characters. Her character was inspired by Rapunzel (from Tangled).

-B was originally going to be more of an intimidating tough guy, but I liked him being as chill as his canon self more. He only looks intimidating now. He's still friends with Dawn.

-Brick is one of my personal favourites because of the direction I went with his character and backstory. This bad boy can fit so much guilt in him :D

-Cameron is partly based on the fact core from Portal 2.

-Dakota's design was the one I struggled with the most, due to the nature of her character.

-Dawn was partly inspired by Shaolin monks. She still drives Scott insane (and can totally kick his ass).

-Jo’s hair was based on her actual untucked/wet hair design. Also, as opposed to canon Dawn, most animals are terrified of her. Yes, even the big mutant ones.

-Lightning was inspired by Victor Frankenstein (the aesthetics not the mental illness). He was my favourite concept when I first thought of this AU.

-Mike is a famous actor. He still has DID.

-Sam is a vintage tech nerd. I'd say he's the most chill of the cast, right next to B.

-Scott was initially going to be more neutral (as he was influenced by brick’s personality at the time) but i thought that was bland and turned him into his beta self 🔥🔥🔥

-Staci was influenced by Keeping up with the Kardashians. She's probably the one I find funniest.

-Zoey is a REAL gamer girl. Not those fake ones that play mobile games😒😒🙄🙄🙄. I also took inspiration from those 2012 'random XD' Deviantart girlies.

-They don’t have confirmed sexualities.

-Samkota and Zoke are still canon.

-Ooh, forgot to mention. The team names are the Mutant Mole Rats and the Radioactive Roaches.

-The elimination order is not the same as canon, nor are the events that happen in the narrative.

Everyone is still themselves at their core. It’s still Brick. It’s still Zoey. It's still Sam, Lightning, Jo, and whoever else, no matter how different they may look or act.

I was doing a lot of psychological analyzes of Jeffrey Dahmer and posting them here, but then I started attracting a lot of strange people, so I stopped...

But since a lot of people are asking for this, here we go 🙄

In Carl Jung's psychodynamic theory, spirals or mandalas are expressive artistic forms that can emerge during a psychotic episode when the patient's mind is trying to organize itself.

Here are many examples of art made by psychotic patients in a psychiatric hospital, they are from the book Images of the Unconscious by Nise da Silveira

(it doesn't mean that everybody who does drawings like this are psychotic, obviously it has artistic styles and things like that, but these paintings were made by patients in hospitals. Nise was a brazilian doctor, and Jung was from Switzerland, they notice that without any contact, their patients were drawing the same spirals figures. You can also see that these drawings are somewhat organized because the patients were receiving treatment. You can see from the geometric shapes that there is a meaning, it is the mind trying to organize itself).

Not only did Dylan draw a lot of spirals, but you can also see that his drawings are extremely disorganized and don't make any sense at all.

Furthermore, his writing is extremely confusing, it took me weeks to understand what he was talking about, (while I read Eric's diary in just one day and found it extremely boring)

Here is an example, you can see that love (heart), the road, this fifth dimension, the donward spiral is all mixed up, extremly disorganized.

It's very different from Eric's drawings, which despite the violent themes, you understand what's happening

Dylan's writing often does not follow a chronological order, nor does he talk about real events of his life, he constantly refers to himself as if he were an entity that lives in another dimension (the number 5 in the drawings represents this fifth dimension), in other words, he was unable to establish a connection with reality. Unlike Eric who proclaimed himself a god to irritate people, as a form of rebellion, Dylan really believed in this, in his mind, he literally lived in another dimension. And these spiritual themes regarding the ego itself ("I am an entity") are indicative of psychosis as well.

One interesting thing is that you can see that even the form of Dylan's writing is confusing. I'm not just talking about his bad handwriting, but he always wrote in the corner in a disorganized way, loose words without meaning. When he started his diary you can see that he was fine, but as time passed, his writing became more and more strange, he began to draw more and more these spiritual symbols, and his drawings became a great confusion.

I believe that his diary is a perfect example of a mind that deteriorated over time, but obviously this is just a supposition based on his diary. I also suppose that he wrote in moments of crisis, when he felt bad, sad, and needed to get these things out.

I know that a lot of people must interpret his diary in an artistic way, especially through his poems (and it still is!), but this is also an indication of a mind that was losing touch with reality

When he proclaimed himself the god of sadness, when he said that he had no friends, that he had no love, that no one would ever love him when he did have many friends who liked him, a functioning family that loved and accepted him, and still a promising future, since he was smart and was planning to go to college, all this god of sadness thing could be indicative of delusion too, he couldn't see how loved he actually was.

(there are cases of psychotic depression, it's very rare, but it does exist).

I know he was diagnosed with schizoaffective personality, which I agree with because often people with this diagnosis are also psychotic. But it really depends on how serious the case is, I have a friend who has this diagnosis and is also psychotic, but he has a good connection with reality and will graduate in psychology too.

Therefore, absolutely nothing about Dylan's supposed illness justifies what he did at Columbine. Eric himself was perfectly normal and also decided to do what he did.

I think there's a better way to make informative posts for people that isn't framed with "Why is no one talking about this/of course (enter people not currently being affected) aren't talking about this/no one seems to care🙄"

I don't know how to tell you this, but more often than not, it might just be that people are unaware. Someone isn't a bad person because they haven't seen the latest news article yet. Sometimes, your post is literally the first time they're even hearing about said awful thing.

This falls into the same vein as "You must be an idiot if you don't know how to do this" as if everyone should be or is born with all knowledge. Not everyone is going to be aware of every little thing that is going on in the world, especially if it is not being actively or well covered by new media outlets.

Also! To assume just because someone isn't actively posting about something on here of all places that this somehow means they're a "bad person" is, frankly, very ridiculous. Sorry, but my life and what I choose to engage with on tumblr is actually very different than what I do in my real life. You have no idea if someone is donating or spending their time helping their community or educating themselves just based on looking at their blog. Furthermore, sorry, but I don't actually trust tumblr of all places as my reputable news sources, and neither should you. Any post about current events warrants investigating on the individuals part.

Framing a post with guilt-ridden language doesn't actually help spread your message. Try to maybe understand that, more often than not, the surrounding userbase probably just hasn't heard of what you're talking about yet, especially if it's one country centered. Someone is not a "bad person" because they haven't heard yet of the latest awful thing that's happening in a country they don't even live in (cough cough USA cough cough)

10. Is there a fic that got a different response than you were expecting?

Several, and in both good and bad ways. Bedrock and Blueprints started as a random throwaway ask. Not to diminish the prompt itself, but it seriously wasn't supposed to be anything. Up until that point, I had never written a true AU, something completely out of context/time period/universe of canon, and Ari may still be Jewish and (ex-)military, but that is it in terms of similarities to the original. It was weird to watch an audience connect with that since it's just all new and random.

RoAR was--and I cannot stress this enough--incredibly out-of-the-box for me. It took months to get into his head and really figure out what to do with that prompt. I...did not have high hopes. He's an asshole and, up to that time, the worst character I'd ever written. I'm pleased people liked it, but if I ever thought I'd get the "stay in your lane" message, I would have put money on it being for that series.

I've had quite a few disappointments though. Not thrilled to go into those. I don't post about it much, and I wouldn't call it 'hate' but yeah. I've left up the fics that garnered it, but I will probably never attempt similar to them again.

17. What's something you've learned about while doing research for a fic?

All the money info for Jake to blabber when he's antsy in Shut Up, Jensen. I've tried to make The Stark Legacy seem more plausible based on technology and 'powers' not only from the comics and movies but also real-life experiments and physics. Not that it's perfect; it's just fun. One of the reasons Common Education is taking me so long is trying to research and time out the events based on (some) real logistics/schedules at NYU and teaching realities. For the kid of two professors, you'd think that would be easier...

27. Is there a fic you were nervous to post/share? Why?

Every. Single. One.

Maybe a few of them I felt excited for, but there have been enough blips of unexpected critique that I'm always nervous. I think about every bad thing someone could say, every flaw that could be found, before posting, and then I have to take a big breath and tell myself to live with that. Do I want to edit endlessly and never post a thing? No? Then post it.

You'll get messages that say they didn't want that, they don't like it, it's not as good as other things, and they're disappointed. It's very sad, often upsetting, but the alternative is not to write (or I guess, just not to post it) at all.

I personally can't live like that, so I stomach the anxiety instead.

quick rant about studio pav lol—

ever since Pav took on that like kpop fest thing that kinda evolved into an ATEEZ concert, shit has really hit the fan huh?

i’ve been to N.flying, OOO (4 times), and Kingdom, P1 with them, and planning on seeing VAV and OOO (2 times). i’ve personally never had a problem with them and found them to be like any other kpop touring company (a bit disorganized and annoying about rules and such).

this is not to say that any allegations against the one blonde lady (Kelly?) is to not be believed because who knows? there’s just a weird amount of allegations and second hand accounts coming out now that were not present before.

like when OOO was in the US for their tour, I saw no one talking about the flag situations or homophobia. as well as the allegations that the groups were being mistreated? does anyone have a first hand account of this? it just feels like because Pav has connected it self to a wider audience and fan base all these accusations are coming through from past events (and i was present! So what did i miss?)

Again not to say what’s true and untrue, but where was this last year or the year before? feels odd.

and for the pricing situation, no one had complaints until OOO. P1 had similar prices for snapshots and I didn’t see this uproar. it’s natural that Kpop companies raise the prices over time because guess what ✨capitalism✨

8D probably also worked with them to raise the price for a better profit. It’s still not as bad as some other companies (not great, but not as bad—I’m looking at you Wonderwall 🙄) I would love for things to be cheaper too across the board but to pin this on Pav is shortsighted

and some people are accusing Pav of faking being sold out cause of a boycott, but a boycott only works if everyone’s on board guys. they added more tickets cause everyone was complaining now everyone’s complaining that the guys will be tired (which i’m sure they will be)

Anyway this is not in defense of Pav really cause I do think they have legit issues and that kpop companies should be checked. This is just a rant on how misinformation or just plain misunderstanding on things people have limited to no info on could potentially get out of hand and real complaints and concerns become buried

Real talk: if you had to dress up for an event at a moments notice could you pull a dress/outfit from you closet? Like something you wore to your cousin's wedding, a funeral, heck even your old prom dress. I think most of us could answer yes to this.

So I hate to keep bringing this up but for Carina to have NOTHING to wear to the ball besides that ugly ass dress (which really was not that bad) or her wedding outfit is still absolutely ridiculous and mind boggling to me.

Consider the pantsuit that Maya was wearing is literally what Carina wears on a daily basis (dressing to give Bailey her resignation) I find it hard to believe she couldn't put something similar together for herself.

No it would be weird if Maya and Carina dressed alike...really?! tell that to the outfits they wore to the Rollivan engagement party. Which by the way was thrown together last minute and they seemed to have outfits for that.

Sorry for the rant, just another annoying thing the writers did that will sit with me/haunt me forever LOL.

That is something that I will never understand either! It was so unrealistic and it may seem like a minor thing in the grand scheme of things but this idea that Carina DeLuca wouldn't have any kind of spare dress in her closet to wear for an event if necessary is just so off base. It just felt like Zoanne wanted to use that wedding dialogue so badly for whatever reason that they had to make it work by having her wear the same dress. Because it's not even like it's a 'lazy' thing to have her wear the same dress, it's just as easy or even easier to have her wear something completely different. So it just seemed purposeful to have her wear the wedding dress but not even in a cute meaningful way as Marina start their relationship over again. It was just so they could make the sage comment and have Carina say she didn't think she would be going with Maya because of their issues...just feels like there were better ways to go about them having that convo than making Carina look stupid for not having anything else to wear. 🙄

Step by Step Ep 2

Seriously, the atmosphere in this company is extremely toxic, literally from the beginning of the series, I'm like a Leonardo DiCaprio meme pointing my finger at moments where I would like to quit if I was Pat and there are a million of those moments.

The most amazing thing about this show is that Pat reacts appropriately to everything that happens there and his correct reactions are constantly criticized and mocked (but not by his friends, they’re AWESOME). Which perfectly represents suff that happen at work, school, all these places where bullying, sexism, harassment, exploitation of subordinates flourish. Pat is disgusted by the sexist and stupid jokes, upset by the way he is being treated, furious at injustice, annoyed by the lack of change. He reacts by crying to constant bad/callous treatment and raising his fist to a rude attack hidden behind a vulgar joke. He has his petty revenge on a superior who humiliates him in public, and drunkenly explains in detail lol what he thinks about Jeng. These are all HONEST reactions to what is happening to him, and what does he hear in response? That he has to sacrifice himself for the team, and THAT HE IS A CHILD. The funniest thing is that it's true! These ARE the reactions of a child who has not yet undergone the forced training of pretending, of hiding his true feelings, of looking away from injustice. And that's why I love Pat.

I will never forget how his face lit up when Jeng said he understood him. And how a second later his hope of improving working conditions was shattered by the same person. It was all visible on his face.  Unfortunately, Jeng doesn't know how to lead a team. Pat's behavior at the meeting was inappropriate, although dressed very diplomatically in my opinion 😉 Jeng should bring it up that he didn't like it and then ask why Pat did it. This kind of revenge means there’s a deep conflict within the team. Jeng punished the EFFECT of the conflict without trying to find its source and end it. And yes, of course, the future of the department depends on Pat 😑🙄 I also didn't like that when Pat said he sent him a photo, Jeng immediately says he didn't get it without checking again his e-mails. Basically Pat received information from him: you are lying. I admit I cried a bit watching it 🥺 These are all acts and words that demotivate even the best employees. Or should I say: especially the best, invested employees (based on a real life events).

Just look at how Pat reacts to Nan, who gives him good advice, treats him kindly and thanks to this, Pat improves as an employee. Besides, Nan asks him about things and listens to what Pat says.

But I still can't imagine working with a group of people who habitually talk about me behind my back, say nasty things to me and are happy when I'm called to the boss's office expecting that I'm in trouble.😬

Pat's friends are AWESOME.
