arcane season 2 was rushed / vi was not written very well (if she was written at all) outside of caitvi / everyone is gay / the ending was decent / a lot of arcs were not ended well / arcane’s ending would have been okay if it wasn’t tied into league of legends lore / the animation is still gorgeous / the sex scene was good but also problematic / the writers are kind of deranged and need to stop talking oh my god / jlo still can’t sing / sevika is still fine as hell / caitlyn should’ve been redeemed but also is like genuinely bad and should not have been redeemed so easily / black people can be upset with how the black characters were written / we need to band against the real enemy aka christian linke aka white tyler perry because what????? / fans can voice their disappointment with things while also agreeing that the show is good can all be true at the same time btw

wrt prev post and sam’s original ‘fed demon blood by azazel as a baby’ arc like. actually that was the most insane thing to see depicted on my television especially when it seemed like no one else i knew or followed was talking about it. it felt so explicit and yet it was sooo deep in metaphor. she walked in on us. sammy, you’re my favourite. god it must be terrible to know something happened but that you’ll never be able to remember it or tell anyone about it. never be able to rip it out or scrub it clean. so azazel could get into my nursery and- bleed in my mouth? because i wasn’t clean. these trials - they’re purifying me. anyway. augh

I was so distracted by the Bentley playing Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy as Crowley raced back to the bookshop this season that it didn't occur to me that we'd been in this position before.

Spat with Aziraphale?

Friends, it is ENTIRELY POSSIBLE that Crowley was having major flashbacks to the bookshop burning and Aziraphale being gone, which is why he was setting new records for the drive through central London. Maybe everyone else already thought about this but I didn't until right now and I am not ok.

The lighting in the S1 1941 flashback is so painfully dark I was rewatching it on a 150% brightness and perhaps I am five years late, but how come I've never noticed that this

is how Aziraphale gazes at Crowley before the "little demonic miracle of my own"???

This is him before the love realisation, just after Aziraphale miracled them both safe from the bomb exploding on the church with the Nazis. No heartwarming acts of service yet — best to his knowledge, Crowley was only there for moral support, because he "didn't want him to get embarassed". And his gaze is— I don't know what to say. Like it would kill him to look away. So fond, so immersed, "oh God, there you are", like hundreds of years have passed, not decades since they saw each other last. Books? What books? What air raid, what war?

Arguably the best part of the scene happens literal seconds after. If you pay close attention to the whole shot, you'll spot the brown satchel on the side. Which Aziraphale would notice earlier too, if he could focus on anything other than Crowley.

When you really think about it Vander was always kind of an asshole. I mean, when he and Silco talk at the cannery Vander says to him: "What I did to you....*I* have never forgiven myself". Like?????? Dude????? This is NOT about you at all what are you TALKING about. That's why Silco literally had to tell him "No, you *still* don't understand", because Vander really seems to live in his own world where he pities only himself despite being the very reason for his problems.

one thing (of many) i love about earthspark bumblebee is that he is actually good at kicking ass—we see just how good he is at it in the beginning of home pt one, and we get glimpses of it in other fights—but they manage to preserve stakes and his sense of being an underdog because the fights he chooses to take on are consistently absolutely insane. like fighting grimlock when he’s in a rage and your arm is broken? not gonna go well, bee. trying to solo a mind controlled optimus prime with your bare hands after being imprisoned by ghost? also not gonna go well. it’s such a fun way to let him be skilled while preserving tension. like of course the tiny autobot scout the size of optimus’ shin is not going to be able to FISTFIGHT HIM successfully, but that will not stop him from trying!

I'm trying really hard not to just be The Complainer because that's an energy I don't want to bring here when I love (present tense; I rewatch it like 5 times a day) arcane season 1 so much but does anyone remember when powder was taken in by silco and being raised by this very utilitarian merciless 'the ends justify the means' type character made jinx turn out violent and merciless as well. and vi was horrified by her and the lanes were terrified of her and piltover was falling over itself trying to scapegoat her as the one bad apple of the undercity to kid themselves into believing that everyone else was perfectly fine with being treated as less than. and that contrasts vi after vander etc. died because she was raised by him and internalised the idea that no one wins in war and fighting back against systemic oppression isn't worth the damage it causes to your own community which is why she ended up working with cait and the council like vander worked with grayson. the people who raised them shaped them into who they are today but then in season 2 jinx has a daughter and she's suddenly completely normal and well adjusted and her attachment style isn't digging her nails in until she draws blood at all. like What. what happened. didn't things used to mean something
