ok ok ok because i love you guys,,,, I don't have a lot about the au and it's mostly just ramblings, but it's a mix of LoF with the OP (unless later, I decide I like a different au to base it off of, or I go compeltely original) story wise

Bruce Wayne watches his parents get murdered, and he becomes a vigilante for Gotham Island. He ends up collecting a bunch of orphans like usual, of course. Dick was still in a travelling circus (they weren't pirates), and he becomes a vigilante right alongside Bruce. The world government declares them as pirates to make them stop, and Batman doubles down. Hard. He buys a boat (dubbed the Batboat, by Robin!), and they protect Gotham. The citizens don't care that their heroes are pirates, they just know they need heroes, because nothing gets done about the criminals there.

The others are brought along in succession as usual (though Jason doesn't die, die, I think? details fuzzy on that). But none of them have eaten devil fruits, they're all just "normal" people. Gotham is NOT under control by the world government. Jim Gordon is still working in law enforcement, blah blah. The other heroes are pirates or they have their own system set up in different islands.

And on the other side of the world are the marvel cast. This is a lot more spotty because I hadn't thought as hard about it. But while Bruce collects orphans, Peter is out there collecting mentors in the way Luffy collects his own crew. Idk exactly the details on that just yet, but I assume it would be based off the LoF au. I just really like this version of Peter (mine)

I fell down a YouTube rabbit hole and watched some videos about people who pretended to be Anastasia and it got me thinking.... Idk if this has been written before, but!

Batfam AU where Jason legally comes back from the dead but literally the whole world thinks he is a con artist pretending to be Bruce Wayne's dead son for money. Lots of reporters have tried to disprove his claim but no evidence will convince Bruce and the media thinks Bruce is too deep in his mourning/ too stupid to realize the truth. I mean come on, his eyes are green, a completely different color from the real Jason!

Jason is having the time of his life. This is the greatest prank of all time. He absolutely leans into it because it is a good cover but also because it is hilarious.

Danny has been reincarnated.

Which was an odd thing to realize, it wasn't even a slow one he just... snapped into it one day. One moment he was staring at a wall out of boredom the next, well, he was staring for an entirely different reason.

It was a task for his now young -he thinks around three years old?- mind to work its way through the memories, but it wasn't like he had much else to do honestly. So, what does he know?

His name is Danny, like, his actual name and not just a moniker. He was once a halfa and he already knows he's going to be missing invisibility and intangibility. He, well, died. For like, a second time which actually makes sense because reincarnation-

Anyways.

He was a clone of two people from this thing called the Justice League which, weird name but probably some government or activist group. Wonder Woman and Superman. Which were pretty weird names to name your kids but eh.

He doesn't really remember much besides that from this life, or the one from before but he's an adult! He'll figure things out once he gets out of this containment tube thing.

Did he mention he was in a test tube? He's a tube baby now. He thinks? Or maybe it's more like he's being contained.

Whatever.

So he breaks out. Thank you apparent superstrength that he has no idea why he has but he's not going to complain! He then wandered around all of the other test tubes, able to remember just enough of English to see that yea, they're dead.

He probably was too, before he had memories zapped into him. Or a vegetable.

He then finds this really big container, checks it out, then opens it because the clone inside isn't dead!

'Project Match' it said. He'll just call him Match.

Was he thanked for helping him? Nope. You would think that he would be thanked or at least somewhat respected for saving this guy but nope!

He was, quite literally, held up by his leg and dangled in the air. Who dangles a three-year-old?! Well, he was technically and adult but still! The next few things were a blur but after pulling off the old Fenton charm he found him and Match outside as he tried to stop him from attacking random people.

Luckily the charms and privilege of the youngest (he's assuming he's the youngest, because he's physically three) was more than enough to get through to him. Sure, the guy couldn't form words, really aggressive for literally no reason, really weird but also absolutely cool looking eyes. But he worked around the first issue by developing their own personal language from like grunts and stuff, the second he once again used his youngest privilege to boss him around and the third a pair of sunglasses easily fixed.

He just had to steer Match clear of those random S crest mark thingies. Which was a weird thing to hate but hey, he's not there to judge.

Dick: This better not be another new kid

Duke: Please let it be a new kid. I'm tired of being freshmeat

Bruce: No, you are not getting a new brother. I am.

Bruce: Before my mom married my dad, she was short on cash and sold some of her eggs. Back then, the science wasn't that great, so none of the babies actually grew from them as far as she was told. I looked into it and found out they lied. I have a baby brother, and he's coming here tonight.

Duke: ....does this mean I'm still freshmeat?

Damian: Yes, it does Freshmeat

Dick ignoring them: Bruce, how mentally prepared are you for meeting your half brother?

Bruce: Me? I'm the icon of mental stability. I have a bunch of fun games we can play to get to know each other. I even have some grey ghost VHS tapes to watch!

Dick: Riiiiiight. How old is he, and what's his name?

Bruce: He's fourteen, and his name is Danny Fenton. I was eighteen when he was born isn't that wild?

Duke: Why is he doing that with his face?

Damian: I believe Father is experiencing a stroke.

Dick: Don't be mean. He's just excited to meet Danny

Duke: Look at him and tell me that you think it will go well with how he's acting

Bruce:

Dick: Okay, so maybe we shouldn't let him talk to Danny alone for a bit.
