I've on occasion said that the best sort of spaceship is one that acts as a shared house for 3 to 10 ish weirdoes to find found family in, plus all the usual spaceship gubbins
vaguely gesturing in the direction of Ebon Hawks, Sereneties, Be Bops, Tempests, and the like
little ships, sorta in the 40-150m range
but there's nothing in that description that precludes multi-kilometre behemoths complete with generous cargo space, an extensive cache of WMDs, and an onboard arboretum
the crew on the other hand

The moment I knew I'd love the Revelation Space books is when, to save herself from falling to death through a several kilometer long elevator shaft, Volyova flies the ship up and down until her falling speed is close to zero when she gets back to solid ground.
This requires trial and error, of course, so it was a very abrupt up and down. She still made it out with only a broken leg!
Her attempted murderer, however, was crushed to goo in the hallway he threw her from.
Crushed to goo via spaceflight. Wonderfully brutal

I'm half asleep when I get up from my bed, and sit down next to my ten-year-old self.
"You're an adult. You're not like me." They say.
"I'm still you." I reply with a sadness I wasn't prepared for. "I'm still just like you."
"No," they insist, "you're an authority. An other. Something I don't understand. I don't see myself in you."
"But I see myself in you." I'm desperate, and I don't know why.
"How?"
"You know about infinity, right?" I already know the answer, but I ask anyway.
"Yeah." They look up at me from the scribbles of Pokemon in a math notebook, from the stuffed animals arranged in a town made of blankets. I don't see the life in them anymore, but I remember what it was like to.
"The universe is infinite."
I pick up a stuffed animal. I still have this one, it now sits on a shelf untouched for years. The fabric is still just as soft, just as loved.
"So adults might know more." I say with conviction, surprised it's my own. "But we all carry the same amount of unknowing. We're all just as lost."
My ten-year-old eyes stare at me. I stare back.
"Why is this important to you?" They ask.
"I don't know." I answer truthfully.
"Maybe I'm just still scared of being left behind."

The BEST mystery cartoon that nobody has heard of
Hello folks!
Today, I wanted to provide you guys with an amazing cartoon recommendation! This is one especially for fans of shows like Gravity Falls! The cartoon is one from the early 2010s called Detentionaire!
It’s about a high school student named Lee, who, on his first day of tenth grade, gets framed for a huge prank and gets detention for a whole year. Now, he spends every day trying to find out who set him up. However, he soon realizes that the prank was a small component to a huge conspiracy that involves government projects, clones, prophesied events, monsters and even his own family.
If you love shows like Gravity Falls, I would definitely check it out! It is quite similar in terms of the amount of mystery it has in it, and it has a lot of lore. If I were to describe it in any way, I would say it is what you get when you combine Gravity Falls with Total Drama - the characters are all teenagers, but the show has an overarching mystery, and it gets more and more paranormal as it goes on.
One thing I will say is that the first few episodes are a bit slow, which may turn some away, but once it picks up, it is amazing. It is definitely one of the best cartoons of the 2010s, and it deserves more attention, so if you are looking for a new cartoon, I’d check it out!
There are two places where you can legally watch it:
YouTube
Tubi
Also, I just want to say that if there are any cartoons you find underrated, please make me aware! Detentionaire was a series which was screwed over by the network, and this led to it not being too well known. As a fan, I would love nothing more than to see it grow in terms of popularity, and I would also love to give more shows a shot as so many get swept under the radar!
