give me Striker acting a little salty bc he thought him and Blitzø hit it off, leave him wondering why Blitzø couldn't see it from his perspective as he's caught in his skewed view of the world. give me Blitzø wondering what Striker's deal was, have him wonder why Striker is so hateful and have him just have to brush it off bc he can't be stuck speculating despite the thought still lingering there

oh i LOVE RoyTim on it's own! likely bc i'm just a Tim multishipper and if it fits i ship, but Roy is especially fun via the Dick connection. and i 1000% agree, *especially* pre-Flashpoint, would even argue it's outright canon that Dick is far more protective of Tim and Damian than he ever was with Jason (not out of dislike, but simply bc Dick and Jason were never all that close and the tragedy of losing Jason was losing what could've been, not what he already had) and especially with Jason as Red Hood, Dick holds no particular protective brotherly feelings toward him. it's all Tim and Damian. so you're so right, the drama of RoyTim is just a smidge more upped than of JayRoy and i'd love to share headcanons-

i think it makes for a fun "crush on your older brother's friend" situation. where like. Tim knows it's unrealistic and he has no *actual* intentions to chase it when he's just 15/16 and Roy and Dick are in their twenties, often hanging out around Tim. and Roy is handsome, he's funny, he's similar in personality to ppl Tim has dated (Steph, Kon) so, it's a crush. one that he hides *well* and never makes it Dick or Roy's problem, and one Tim never expects to pan out. he just fantasizes about Roy a little bit and mostly grows out of it by the time he's an adult.

i think more fics need Lian, so i like the idea of them co-parenting Lian. especially if they're both. sort of bad at it. like Roy loves her and he's trying, but he's doing this basically alone and it's not like he has experience. Tim also has no experience. neither of them know what on earth to do. it's a very cute idea that just relies on the two of them being terrible at parenting and Roy getting so mad that the first time Lian says "dada" she says it to Tim that he considers breaking up for a good five minutes.

how they get together can happen in a lot of ways, but i'm interested in the idea of Dick asking Roy to talk to Tim during Tim's Red Robin arc. Roy has experience helping kids through his work helping young addicts and nothing else has worked, so he offers to at least try with Tim. and Roy, who also doesn't handle grief well, understands at least some of what Tim is going through. especially since Roy dealt with Oliver dying and then suddenly coming back, he's at least open to the idea Bruce could be alive. he's just around to try and help Tim keep some emotional stability, but it ends up with Roy helping with the search and somehow, falling for Tim along the way

they go to sitcom levels of chaos trying to keep the relationship hidden from Dick. they *both* know Dick is far too protective of Tim to react well to it. but also, i think Roy would get *just* a bit of an ego about sleeping with Tim under Dick's nose. he makes a point of strutting around when Dick invites him over, finding reasons to be shirtless just to make Tim squirm a little bit. it's that sort of kink where you're excited about the risk of being caught. that fits these two so well and i can't explain it.

because Roy is used to mentoring younger heroes, i think he would have a bigger than normal moral panic about dating Tim. he fights his feelings for a *while*, to the point Tim can tell Roy is fighting his feelings and he's trying to convince Roy he's fine with this. Tim telling Roy about his childhood crush does not help. it makes Roy feel *worse*. it makes them take things very slowly, and i could see Roy being the type to never fully touch Tim until Tim is 18, no matter how much Tim insists it's okay.

i do think they have unhinged sex when they actually get into it though. no matter how sure Roy is that he'll be gentle the first time, the minute he gets his hands on Tim, it is feral. there is blood and foul dirty talk and Tim cannot walk the next day. i think Roy makes for a very mean dom, the type who will make fun of you for being a mess in bed. he just has those vibes, and it works great for getting Tim to just. turn his brain off.

i think Roy, who's struggled with picking hero names before, would be someone to try to force Tim to let go of Red Robin once the whole Bruce thing is over. it's not Tim's name and Tim doesn't need to keep punishing himself with it. Roy is nice about it at first, but then i do think he threatens to set that damn suit on fire if Tim keeps wearing it and doesn't come up with a new hero name. and the worst part is, Tim does know he's serious.

when Dick does find out, chaos. an absolute shitshow. when Roy tells him, Dick punches Roy in the face before he even finishes explaining himself. it's a pure gut reaction. even Bruce isn't as protective over Tim as Dick is. it takes a *lot* of convincing from Tim that it's okay and he wanted this before Dick calms down, and he still doesn't talk to Roy for like a month until the rest of the Titans are forced to hold an intervention reminding Dick of his own dating history with age gaps, like Babs. Dick does cool down, but he is not afraid to stoop to "you're fucking my brother" in an argument bc he wins everytime when he brings it up.

i think Tim is the protective partner. everyone *expects* it to be Roy, he's older and more experienced, but it's Tim who will absolutely lose it if someone threatens Roy's or Lian's life. like not fanonish "committing murder" Tim, but more so canonish "i have a contingency plan for everything" Tim. Roy has had to hold him back a couple times. honestly i think the moral conversations Roy and Tim have are so interesting. because Roy will cross the line for those he loves, so bc of that, Tim is careful to make sure Roy is never in a position where he has to protect Tim bc he knows it would turn lethal quickly. it's a very "i know what you're capable of and you don't scare me but i won't let you become a worse version of yourself bc of me" sort of self preservation vibe. i think it'd be very neat. Tim fights like hell when he's close to death bc his thought is always "i refuse to let Roy feel like he has to avenge me" which i find very crunchy.

I think he also accidentally transforms while you're still holding onto him. You're like, screaming as you hold onto him for dear life and he keeps turning around in circles trying to find you (you swinging around and begging for him to stop moving)

Despite all the silly shenanigans, he still obviously goes out of his way to make sure you're safe and comfortable.

I just feel like ARMYs who are very obviously Y/N’s have NO reason to be judging shippers. I think it’s funny how some of them are so genuinely defensive and put off by shipping in a way I can tell is personal lol (it’s giving jealousy!). I totally understand people not liking shipping/shippers but I’ll never accept judgement from a Y/N, sorry! If you’re posting about only ONE member in a really thirsty manner after every AYS trailer and then turning around and saying “ugh, jkkrs are so annoying and delusional, jikook are brothers!” I know what you are! 🫵

I’m self aware that I’m pretty heavily biased, but there’s nothing worse than the ARMYs who hide under the OT7 visage but are CLEARLY heavily biased themselves. I simply do not like hypocrites, maybe some of them are in denial about it, idk. ofc there’s nothing worse than the ones who cosplay and try to create havoc in ARMY spaces, but that’s an entirely different thing. with that said, i’m convinced that at least 90% of active ARMYs are heavily biased at this point and we’d all be better off if they could simply just admit it.

perhaps this is my own bias so feel free to disagree, but imo ARMYs very clearly have a different sort of energy for jm antis and I think its partially because his hate has been so damn normalized in this fandom after years of tkkrs, but also because clearly a vast majority of the ARMY sh*oter accounts are diet solos and tkkrs and they always put an extra amount of scrutiny on things related to jm. they're also the first to bring shipper/solo drama into ARMY spaces (but only when it impacts their ship/bias) and they’re very clearly obviously lurking in solo/shipper territory to find it the way they do. the silence right now from certain accounts really does speak volumes.

sort of related, but the best way to gain a big following on ARMY twt is to get involved in whatever current drama is going on, for example MHJ drama, boycott drama, general fanwars. ARMYs will flock and mass follow these accounts, and a lot of them are diets who gain a platform and then spread their diet narratives later. one really good example is that elo person if anyone remembers all that, they literally were moots w/ tkk akgaes & calling them bestie but rebranded after they started gaining a mass following for “doxxing” and they started gaining attention because they were “debunking” the OG taennie icloud leaks (lol ofc they were a tkkr doing that). anyways they were awful and did a lot of harm, but they got that platform bc a lot of ARMYs flock to toxic accounts like that, especially when somethings going on, and then they’re impossible to cancel.

last shipping thought but we all know why tkkrs and y/n’s are jealous and weird towards jkk but sometimes its actually the same case for a lot of the other bts shippers, especially jk x hl shippers (like what's w/ all the j*nkookers lol) & yoonm*n. and there’s a lot of ARMYs who fall into this category actually. even if they don’t believe their ship is real, sometimes they still feel a bit passive aggressive/jealous bc they would prefer whatever content was with their bias/self-insert instead. theres so many jkk moments that have been really badly OT7’d, like I’ve never seen anything like the way almost the entire fandom rewrote history to make that jk binging jm content jk binging bts content (its legit wild to me).

and ill never forget during the disney docu when someone pointed out how jk likely knew jms apartment password and it got ratio’d at over 4k by someone saying “he probably knows all his hyungs passwords!” and it wasn’t even funny or clever lmao, it was very much giving

anyways, i believe this is one of the reasons sometimes ARMYs at large are weird towards jkk bc even outside of just tkkrs there are a LOT of HL shippers who take it pretty personally, especially if they’re the sort that projects onto one of the members in their ship. tbh, even if it’s not shipping, it’s a bias line thing where they want to fight over jm/jk being closer to their bias than they are to each other.

Whatever the fuck it's called - a canon (endgame?) het ship from the Miraculous Ladybug fandom between Marinette (Ladybug) Dupain-Chang and Adrien (Chat Noir) Agreste

The narrative puts a lot of comparisons between her feelings toward Adrien and Adrien's Supervillain father's feelings toward Adrien's (presumably dead) mother, without ever really calling attention to the fact that marinette's kind of descending into unhealthy areas. Much like Adrien's entitlement to Ladybug, Marinette's obsession is never called out as anything other than to either point and laugh at or coo over how 'devoted' it is. Also all of those words i gave you up top about marinette being overworked with too much responcibility on her back were only about 5% of episodes 10% are friend drama, and the other 85% have something to do with Adrien or Chat Noir in a significant way in marinette's plot. this show couldn't pass the bechdel test ONCE. Not to mention that literally everyone except for the 'mean cruel bullies that only want Adrien for themselves' all SUPER TOTALLY SHIP THEM YOU GUYS. At one point a normal kid also wanted to date adrien but when she broke up with him she immediately turned to marinette and said 'hes perf for u tho sweetie' literally at one point in a special two new characters are introduced and spend 90% of their time on screen trying to get them together, not for some sort of 'oh we already knew marinette or adrien and we want them together bc they'll be happy' no literally these two complete strangers look at these two complete strangers and go 'Oh those two are MEANT TO BEEEE' and go out of their way to matchmake alongside their friends. Speaking of their friends a lot of Marinette's schemes to woo Adrien aren't even her own, they're mostly orchestrated by her friend group to where Marinette is a reluctant at best patron of. (except for when she makes wooing plans on her own then her friends think it's annoying and that they have better things to do point and laugh at the cringe please) at two separate points the show goes out of its way to be like 'if you two get together rn the whole world is doomed btw' one of which it's implied to have pretty seriously traumatized marinette btw, but please keep pointing and laughing at her venting to what she believes to be a wax replica of Adrien and nerely kissing him only to reveal it was Actual adrien that whole time pretending to be a wax statue for... idk to mess with marinette? she clearly thought she was alone and was spinning her private thoughts and he doesn't even apologize for what was technically an innocent prank that went way too far too quick But never mind all that never mind all that because they had enough 'cute' scenes in the first two seasons that the fans at this point are so thoroughly emotionally invested that they scream about it anyway no matter how it's going to get. #niceguy that unironically says m'lady and stalker with a stutter are MEANT TO BEEEEEEEE and if you even imply otherwise on a twitter post the literal showrunner will subtweet you calling you an idiot that doesn't understand the nuances of his perfect flawless never bad ever ever ever show.

I forgot what they said but it was enough to piss me off. Look, I deal with enough idiots within the fandom, I don't need your dumb ass.

It just surprises me people think BNHA is the first and only fandom to act chaotic. Acting like ship wars is something the BNHA fandom made up.

Ooooh, not long after that incident, I witness a ship war in the Stranger Things fandom through the blogs I follow. I never been so quick to dip out and write that day.

People don't find it strange that gay shippers often get blamed? It doesn't click that it's easy for gay shippers to get blamed? Do you really think that people who draw and write their ships are gonna say something outrageous just so they get people mad at them? No one thinks it's the homophobic asshole wanting to cause a problem because they don't like gay ships so they're blaming the shippers? Or the misogynist jerk who believes women should have a certain role in society so they bash the female characters who seem "not like a woman" to them? Or how about the racist who tends to talk over fans of color because they don't want those fans to be heard because HELLO THEY'RE RACIST?!

Like people, open your damn eyes!!!

I also think cultural differences play a part in the stupidity of how people act in fandoms.

I need certain fucking people to understand that something that may seem strange to you may be something normal somewhere else. That doesn't mean you, the damn outsider, speak over and bash the person who knows more about their own culture than you do.

There is a language barrier there, so instead of this whole entitled "I'm right because I don't understand you" attitude, I need people to actually get out that stupid bubble and try to understand. Not just for Horikoshi, but for anybody.

Example, the Christmas episode. The part where Eri was confused about the holidays and she pulled out the beans and say "in sickness and in health", I was confused. Of course, I was. Izzy is sort of catnip for fanfic writers which I called as soon as the oooh daddy Thing happened. He's a mess and so are all of his possible relationships (also kinky on main without wanting to be kinky on main) but at the same time if you go the "if you touch him right he melts" or "if someone railed him he'd calm down" route it's also believable, bc he's a mess, so you dont have to commit to a 60K angst fest to fix his life or make it worse either. Fandom bicycle pathetic little meow meow.

It's also why so much Blackbonnet content is about their reunion when it's not pure fluff or a pwp, it's the closest bit of relationship drama that has to be resolved (even if you flatten them into uwu cinnamon roll non-pirates and thus ignore any other issues they'd need to work on to make their relationship not implode, you still have this fight to resolve! If you dont do that both of them have so much shit to work on to survive past the honeymoon phase and get better as people together that you do probably need like 70K of fic, maybe a series. Josh/Chris- So they're definitely my favourite pairing. I've been shipping this since I first got into Until Dawn. I love the best friends to lovers, with all the angst thrown on top.

Emily/Sam- So, in love with the idea of comphet Em going to Sam for support when she realises she likes girls, because Sam I feel like out of the whole group Sam came out as gay first lol. This friendship eventually develops into romance and overall is just very sweet. Also a pair of badasses is just awesome.

Matt/Ashley- A really randomass one but I just think that they're neat. They have like 1 interaction but it's like the most normal Matt is treated cos the rest of the time he's basically just yelled at for no reason. Also I think the basement scenes would've been so different with Matt and Ash cos I feel Matt would take Ashley more seriously. Also Em and Chris friendship has my soul. Ash deserves to be listened too and Matt deserves kindness.

Mike/Jess- The one canon pairing that I kinda like! Of course they have their issues but they're definitely not the worst, and they clearly do care for eachother- Mike beats the crap out of Josh when he thinks he killed Jess and Jess' credit scene lines get me. So yeah. Also they're both kinda dumb so its funny.

Mike/Josh- Confident gay (dunno specific sexuality, but hes something) Josh and Bi Mike who isn't as open. Added drama and angst bc of the prank on Hannah and the events of the main game. Friends(who like eachother) to enemies to lovers ig.

Chris/Mike- Bisexuals. Nerd and popular dude. Chris can basically flatter Mike into giving him the gun when the Stranger is at the door. They're just so funny. Also post game comfort, angsty af.

As pissed as I think he'd be, there's still a big difference between the threat of having almost lost everything, the attempt at erasing his memories, and the canon version where he was so, so lost for a decade and had to deal with realizing just HOW lost he was in a matter of minutes during story and song.

Essentially, I'm saying that he's pissed at Lucretia but he didn't actually have to live through losing everything and so they're still antagonistic towards each other but it's not quite as tense as in canon (at the end)

For some contrived reason, Taako doesn't manage to or doesn't know to get to Fischer's tank then and there and make everyone remember

Insert aforementioned "sup, cretia?" moment here where Taako confronts her on the deck of the starblaster

Again, some contrived reason means Taako retreats and lets her go through with taking everyone else to the places she found for them (*including alive Barry)

The bureau and uh... alternate tres horny boys? are both very confused bc they have no idea if Lucretia and Taako hate each other or want to have brunch together next weekend (and possibly they might have had brunch together the weekend previous?)

Are you feeling ok?", or that Lup's husband had a thing for it and she just went with it (this devolves into a bunch of bickering literally 5 feet from Barold. Coincidentally, it is the closest to the actual truth that either of them ever say), or that Lup ate a really bad sandwich one day, or that it's actually TAAKO who's cursed to be so hot and beautiful for eternity, woe is him for losing his skeletal death-y body-less floating robe aesthetic...

That's exactly what I said back when I actually engaged in mcyttwt and there was this whole discourse where people were accusing some accounts and artists of fetishizing dnf. And the thing is, the topic of fetishization is so complex. It's all about intention.
