the whole plastic straws thing and what you should REALLY be doing

the plastic straws we all use on a daily basis create litter and are harming marine life, primarily sea turtles.

but let’s be real here.

it’s us or them, people.

if we don’t continue to use plastic straws to keep the turtle population at a dull roar at the most, we could end up facing 1990 all over again

what is so significant about 1990 you ask? 

the year 1990 was an all-time low for plastic straw waste, and this disturbing documentary directed by well renown filmmaker Steve Barron (best known for his 1993 documentary on extraterrestrial life and camerawork in the 1978 documentary on the man with a body of steel construct) shows the lives of sea turtles when mutated by toxic waste, unexposed to plastic straws.

for more information on what you can do to avoid a repeat of this dangerous occurrence, continue to use plastic straws. in fact, you should probably just throw your straws straight into the ocean when you’re done with them.
