Hi, I'm working on an Avatar OC. She is a relatively strong waterbender who gets into an accident that paralyzes her from the waist down. It's the kind of paralysis where there is no danger in someone else moving her legs around for her, but her brain is unable to control her leg muscles itself. She ends up secretly learning how to bloodbend, and decides to use it to help make her walk by bloodbending her own legs (a process which takes a long while to learn, but gradually becomes more second nature after a year of constant practice).
I thought it would be a cool way of utilizing bloodbending in a positive way rather than a negative way, however, I realize this may fall into the "curing disabilities with magic" or "disability basically non-existent due to powers" tropes. If my OC's waterbending is taken away or significantly weakened, then she can't move her legs anymore, and walking still requires quite a bit of concentration (and more advanced movements like running are even harder). But I'm still concerned. Any advice on how to make this work without perpetuating harmful tropes?
Hi!
My first advice before getting to the superpower curing thing would be to thoroughly research spinal cord injuries. It's basically unheard of to only be paralyzed below the waist with no other symptoms. An SCI could be complete, incomplete, and then it has specific levels - sometimes people assume that it's either "below the neck" or "below the waist" but there's a whole more that can happen. For the purpose of this ask, I'm going to assume that she has a complete spinal cord injury on the lower thoracic level, maybe T9 to T12. If it's higher (like T6 or above), you should definitely research autonomic dysreflexia as well.
I'm glad that you caught this! I would classify this as a cure thing, or at least cure-adjacent.
I'm not certain how bloodbending her own legs would work - unless she was manipulating her whole body like a marionette, I don't think it would help much? I don't remember how exactly it worked in Avatar, but she would need her leg and hip muscles to actually contract (or at least consistently spasm) to bear her weight, or they would just bend underneath her. Her legs would probably be atrophied, so it'd be even harder.
None of this means you can't have her bloodbend to make her life easier while still leaving her disabled! There's definitely things that could work for her while also being more authentic to the issues she could have, rather than just un-disabling her.
One of the problems that she would have - that's also related to blood flow - would be pressure sores. It's basically when there's prolonged pressure on part of the skin and eventually tissue death occurs, if it's not treated it's lethal. As you can guess, it's a huge problem when it happens and it's even worse when you can't feel a sore like this forming in the first place. She could make her life much easier and safer by learning how to push her blood everywhere to make sure she doesn't, you know, die. This is huge and genuinely life-changing, just not as spectacular as being able to walk with paralyzed legs I guess. She could maybe learn to bend her blood specifically to prevent this - she would learn of this being a possible problem very early on - and thus realize that bloodbending can be a positive and life-saving tool?
There are also scenarios where moving legs via bloodbending could be helpful! Legs weight a lot, and it can be a pain to move them around when transferring. Rather than having her manually grab them to get out of/into her wheelchair, she could just bloodbend her legs to be where they need to go. This omits the problem of her lower body probably not being able to hold her weight.
If she has complete paraplegia, she will have issues with her bladder - she could probably use her bending for that as well? If you don't want to go into a lot of detail, you can have her just empty the leg bag via waterbending. I imagine that being able to manage that whole process in a much faster way would be helpful for her!
These are just a few suggestions - I definitely encourage you to look deeper into spinal cord injuries and their symptoms, and think of some creative ways for her bending to help her other than making her walk!

What is #What If ToA RotT?
A project of 20 dedicated people who invested 2.5 years to rewrite the beginning of the 2021 movie Tales of Arcadia: Rise of the Titans. It became a beautiful 30 min fan animatic.
It was based on @tenebrius-excellium's fix-it fic. (outlined)
What is it about?
Blinky narrates A Brief Recapitulation of Troll Lore No. 48 as an alternative prologue to the movie. Visually, we preferred to use a sepia-colored book-like aesthetic. The og intro, in contrast, was felt to be rather rushed and confusing.
We then open into a scene playing in New York City, which explains the premise and what Douxie, Nari & Archie have been doing since the former events of Wizards: Tales of Arcadia. The scene is meant to pick up the audience where they were left off after the show, since the movie forced a rather abrupt continuation. What was dubbed by us as the #café scene goes at a slower, more comfortable pace, and intends to pay more respect to the world lore, character relationships etc. It then neatly ties itself to the canon follow-up scene which is commonly known among fans as the "subway scene".
What do I do with it?
You can view the scene as an insert into the canon movie. It is placed in the timeline between Blinky's recap of previous events and the subway scene as a slower and more informative opening.
You can see it as the first, animated scene of @tenebrius-excellium 's fanfic idea, which pursues a very different, more satisfying plotline afterwards.
You can use it as a base to invent your own fix-it story for a movie that could have been good but was sadly largely perceived as disappointing. Have fun! :)
Where can I watch it?

I saw a post by @noperopesaredope about PBS Kids childhood TV shows, and the nostalgia flooded back to me, so yes. PBS kids nostalgia dump!
Curious George: One of my all time favorites! I don’t know what it was, but I remember trying to replicate George’s fun hat thing when I was like four or something. Catchy music (especially the Inside Story Song). Standout Eps: The Inside Story, the one where George goes to Allie’s preschool, the airport one, the snow shoes one, and the pirate ship one (S.S. Dignified).
Oh Noah: Nobody seems to remember this one, but I explicitly remember watching it on the website when I was a kid. Was always one of my favorites! Standout Episodes: The balloon one, the ball in the sewer one, and the cheese one.
Dinosaur Train: Barely remember it, mainly from watching it in barbershop waiting rooms. Oddly nostalgic and it was sweet.
Thomas the Tank Engine: Same as above, except I have a bold image of the Cask of Amontillado scene (one of my classmates pointed it out while we were studying it).
Arthur: I watched more of the mid-later seasons. I never understood the D.W. hate though, the Tibbles were much worse lol. Never watched it as religiously as Curious George, but still great! Standout Eps: Seeking Shelter from the Storm, The Last Tough Customer, etc
Martha Speaks: I think I’ve only watched one episode of this, but it was good when I saw it.
Word Girl: Watched slightly more episodes, but still not many. Also really good! Kinda reminds me of the PPG art style ngl.
Super Why!: I watched this show a lot as a kid, but I can’t really remember many of the episodes. I was always fond of it, however, and the theme song is a banger.
Cat in the Hat Knows Alot About That: I never see that many people talking about this show, which is kinda saddening. Again, this was one of my favorites, and some of the music was extremely catchy. Extra shoutout to the games on the website. Standout Eps: the one with the “Red, Orange, Yellow Green Blue, Indigo and Violet to” song.
Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood: God I loved this as a kid. I think I only watched the first season, but damn it was good. I loved most of the characters and the show was overall really sweet. Standout Eps: The Vaccination episode.
Caillou: I. Hate. This. Show. My parents never let me watch it as a kid, and now I understand why. I still can’t believe this tragedy is getting a reboot.
Liberty’s Kids: I remember watching this in elementary school history class. It was pretty good ngl.
Sid the Science Kid: The animation freaked me out and some of the character designs were questionable. I freaking loved their school’s playground though. Even when I was seven or something, I found the show to be extremely annoying and the voices to be grating (no offense to the VAs, of course).
Honorable Mention: Wild Kratts: My mom never let me watch this as a kid, but I watched it with my friend during lunch periods, and good lord, I missed out!
I will probably mention other non-PBS nostalgic shows for me in a different post

Tag game for writers: The Google Rabbit Hole
So that part of fantasy writing where you look up a term and then it all just spirals somewhere else that will get you a) distracted because *niche interestinggg* and/or b) on a secret government watchlist because it probably has something to do with murder
Rules: Trace your chain of search history from what you wanted to where you ended up and tag as many people as you have chain links.
Example: Citadel -> citadel Spain -> citadel Israel -> citadel Istanbul -> citadel Massala ❌ -> zealots Israel -> citadel Masada ✔️-> Eleasar ben Ja’ir.
Note to readers: It was very interesting and very disturbing to read about Eleasar ben Ja’ir. Had nothing to do with my search intent lol.
Everybody go, I wanna find the wildest one yet!

My Main EAH OC (Besides Maybe Flint)
Legumes Pea
“The boxing ring is a place where I feel like myself. No pressure to be perfect, no people breathing down my neck. Just me and my opponent and the punch, punch, punch.” - Legumes Pea
Legumes Pea is a 2021 introduced character and the next princess from The Princess and the Pea. She is the lead character of One Year Left and a reoccuring character in NopeRopesAreDope's 4th Years of Ever After saga.
Character
Personality
Legumes is that one senior who basically adopts all the freshmen that she can and is a jock. She’s a bit brash and loud, but yet surprisingly good grades on her princess etiquette classes due to growing up in a household where she was taught that kind of stuff all the time. Despite having an intense independent streak, she still has a fear of disappointing people like her parents, and therefore is a bit of a perfectionist. Legumes can be a bit thickheaded, but he’s actually very socially intelligent, picking up on other people's emotions pretty quickly. She’s a bit of a prankster and troublemaker, truly the definition of chaotic good. Legumes is somewhat liked among her classmates, though quite a few of them find her to be a bit overwhelming. But she is still pretty nice. A chaotic jock with a big mouth and a bigger heart, Legumes tries to be the best she can be, despite her struggles.
Flaws
Despite being good in princess classes, she’s actually not the brightest. She was expected to look pretty, and be seen and not heard, so her parents didn’t really focus on any intellectual skills. She still tries her best. Legumes can be a bit brash and impatient, with the stubbornness of a bull, as well as loud and slightly obnoxious. She tends to forget that personal space is a thing that exists and occasionally gets into other peoples business. She’s also incredibly insecure, worrying that she’s not good enough for anyone, and sometimes feels the need to ask her friends whether or not they hate her or find her annoying.
Likes
Boxing, gothic fashion and literature, botany (she likes it, she’s just not great at it), adopting people as her younger siblings, help people who are lost in the hallway,
Dislikes
Snobby people, her mother, math, any classes that revolve around magic, elitism, people who get involved in other people's business (she can be a bit of a hypocrite on that front)
Appearance
“Princess Legumes Pea stepped out of her carriage, her somewhat large feet stomping against the ground, very much unlike the typical light click of a princess in heels. People turned as they watched the muscular girl walk up the steps of Ever After High, her towering figure causing her to stand out. Legumes was an oddity to all that knew her. Of course, with the details of things, she made some sense. Being athletic as she was, it would make sense that she would be so muscular, and though she did not outright reject Royal customs, she didn’t really fit into them either. It would make sense that she was a bit tall due to the fact that she probably inherited her height from her father.”
—Opening lines of One Year Left
Legumes is 6’2” with a broad, muscular figure and feminine curves. She has an AF6E4D skin tone and frizzy black hair that reaches her chin. She has large green eyes, a Greek nose, and average lips. Her head is slightly square, but still feminine. Her hands are also somewhat large, which can be helpful for shouting and boxing. On her back, Legumes has 3rd degree burns from an accident.
Fairytale – The Princess and the Pea
How the Story Goes
A young prince is looking for a princess to marry, but can’t seem to find any real princesses because all the girls he meets have bad table manners and don’t act proper. The princess mother decides to hold a challenge to see if a princess was real or not. They would invite the girl to sleep over, and if she accepted, they would give her a bed with many, many mattresses stacked on top of each other. Little did the girls know, there would be a pea at the bottom of these mattresses. If the girl was a real princess, she would be able to feel the pea underneath all those mattresses and get a bad night’s sleep. The next day, the prince and his mother would ask if they slept well last night, and if the girl said no, it meant she wasn’t a real princess. One stormy night, a mysterious woman comes knocking at their door, asking for shelter. The mother decided to test the mysterious woman the same way she did all the other girls. The next day, the mysterious woman talked about how she had gotten a restless night of sleep due to an uncomfortable object poking her back and bruising her. She showed them the evidence, and they rejoiced. Only a real princess could be delicate and sensitive enough to feel a P under so many mattresses. The princess and prince got married and lived happily ever after.
How does Legumes come into it?
Legumes is the princess. She was somewhat neutral about her destiny growing up. Her destiny often involved fulfilling the expectations of others and society, and her mother pushed it on her hard. Her father on the other hand, mostly let her follow her dreams, but was a little overprotective of her, seeing her as something delicate and fragile. But after the accident that caused her to sustain extreme nerve damage in her back, Legumes has slowly become more and more defiant of her destiny. She discovered her love of boxing and dislike of being seen as so delicate that a single pea can interrupt her sleep. She also discovered that she is very gay, and doesn’t want to marry this other guy. Legumes is generally very much not the type to follow her destiny, but doesn’t actually say much about the topic, since she still has the heavy expectations weighing on her. An important detail about Legumes is that when she was a young child, she got caught in a fire and sustained intense nerve damage on her back, resulting in her being unable to feel someone touching her back. This has made her destiny much more difficult, especially since she also has an easy time falling asleep. She actually hasn’t told the headmaster yet, and isn’t really sure what to do. Honestly, no one except her parents and her doctor (and possibly her girlfriend and best friend) actually know about her back problem.
History
Childhood
Legumes was raised by Perfection Charming and Delicate Pea in her home kingdom; East Kunani, on a mountain called Mulapua. She mostly stayed in the castle and wasn’t allowed outside much until she got older, so she was a bit socially underdeveloped for a long while. She was taught many princess skills, such as manners and royal customs. She learned a decent amount other cultures, as well as court culture. She also learned a lot of embroidery and household management. But she never truly enjoyed any of those things.
Boxing
One day when she was 8 after much begging, her father took her to see something he himself enjoyed; boxing. Of course, he didn’t actually enjoy doing boxing, rather watching it. Legumes was fascinated and loved it immensely, especially one of the boxers name Rocky Road. Legumes got her own mini boxing gloves, and her hero ended up signing them! Ever since, Legumes secretly learned how to box, and when she got into middle school, she officially joined the boxing club (much to the displeasure of her parents). When she joined Ever After High, she again joined the boxing club and became a captain in Junior year, and learned to earn the respect of her fellow boxers. She plans to make boxing a professional career, though she didn’t know how until that Legacy Day.
The Accident
When Legumes was about seven years old, a section of her castle caught on fire due to a pan on the stove going unwatched for too long. Everyone in the kitchen was able to escape, but the fire got into a few other rooms, one of which was a small sitting room. Legumes was in the side bathroom next to it, and didn’t notice the fire until things were already falling apart. She came outside of it and only then noticed the fire. She tried to escape, but a wooden beam fell on her back. She was rescued, but not before the wooden beam gave her third-degree burns covering the majority of her back. This was a very traumatic incident that gave Legumes mild PTSD, which she received treatment for and has since then mostly recovered, but she will still experience a panic attack if something falls on her back or if she gets too close to fire.
Leadership
Boxing Team Captain
Legumes first joined the boxing team during freshmen year and became a dedicated member ever since. she wasn’t always taken seriously due to her smaller size at the time, but many older members of the team deeply appreciated her due to how seriously she took her role in the club, making sure to her clean up after matches as well as prep, cheering her teammates on, and generally participating as much as possible. Because of this, the couch and previous captain made her the head captain of the team after the previous ones graduated. Some members of the team disagreed, some out of jealousy, while others out of feeling as though she wouldn’t take the job seriously enough due to her incredibly energetic nature. However, the majority agreed with the decision due to witnessing Legumes hard work. She has been captain of the boxing team since she was a Junior. She used the leadership roles she learned as a child to organize the club and her skills and leadership to earn the respect of her teammates. While she is chill and understanding, she doesn’t mess around and takes her role as captain very seriously, making sure to put time and effort into keeping the team together.
Senior Guide
Basically, Senior Guides help some of the freshmen get used to the school, giving them a tour on their first day, giving some advice, and generally just being available to help out. Seniors can sign up for it, then sometimes teachers will suggest them as an option. It’s also required for members of the student council. Legumes immediately signed up for it and has been trying her best to be as helpful and ‘older-sibling-y’ as possible, though she of course isn’t perfect, not always knowing what to say or do, but she tries.
Tutor
Legumes just really likes to help out people, even if it is out of her area of expertise. She is in capable of helping with math homework, as she often needs help with that herself, but she is able to help with princess etiquette, and has figured out ways to cheer them on. She also likes to help her students feel confident in themselves, not wanting them to feel disappointed at their inability to do something that they personally find difficult since she understands what that is like.
Princess of Mulapua
Though she dislikes being royalty, Legumes understands that there are certain responsibilities that come with her title and that she needs to fulfill her duties as princess of Mulapua. As princess, Legumes must attend certain festivities, be present during most meetings, and greet guests. Her mountain's traditions also give her, as the eldest (and only) child, a certain role in their government. She is required to visit each village every two months and check on their progress. Legumes takes her job very seriously, as she feels she has an important duty to her people. Though she has other dreams, Legumes does legitimately enjoy leading, or at least, she wants to lead her people. If she weren't born into royalty, she probably wouldn't become that kind of leader, but she would still lead a small group of people.
Relationships
Family
Legumes’ dad, Perfection Charming, is always kind and calm, helping her gain a bit of self confidence and is supportive of her and who she wants to be. He’s also slightly overprotective of her, still thinking that she is something fragile that must be protected, and this only increases after the accident. They still have a very positive relationship.
Legumes’ relationship with her mother, Delicate Pea, has always been tense and strained. Delicate constantly put a lot of pressure on her daughter to be a perfect princess, since that was what her destiny was all about; proving that she was a real princess. This caused Legumes to have a perfectionist attitude and a fear of disappointing her mother. While she isn’t completely abusive, Delicate is over controlling and generally very unpleasant to her daughter. She is the only person that Legumes won’t stand up to and is very submissive of. Ever since the accident, Legumes has felt as though her mother was disappointed in her for not living up to her expectations. This is why Legumes works incredibly hard in school and tries to follow her destiny despite it being close to impossible. Delicate was the first person to bring up the idea of simply faking it, but both realized that wouldn’t work. Despite the toxicity of their relationship, Delicate truly does love her daughter and wants the best for her, they simply have different ideas of what is best for Legumes.
Friends
Miriam Shepherd and Legumes have been friends since Legumes ran into her while out exploring. They both require each other in order to function. Legumes make sure that Miriam doesn’t lose her mind and also makes her socialize with others, and Miriam make sure that Legumes doesn’t do something incredibly unintelligent. Miriam is the common sense, and Legumes is the social intelligence. They share a brain cell and neither one is sure who has it. Miriam loves Legumes, but also wants to face palm constantly, finding many of her questions to be bad ones. Legumes cares for her friend, but worries about her and secretly feels like Miriam is bring down the mood. They still deeply care about each other, and are good friends.
Spire Madraspude and Legumes get along quite well, despite really not wanting to marry each other. Both are supposedly meant to be each other’s one true love, but what with Spire being gay and Legumes being a lesbian, that is highly unlikely. Still, they both managed to be friends since childhood, seeing each other more as siblings than anything else, with Legumes being the protective older sister and Spire the adoring younger brother. They argue sometimes, but in a sibling type way, and would never see each other as, well, not siblings. They don't see each other as more than siblings, but also never anything less. They aren't just childhood friends, they are siblings. This is important because some people forget that and think that if they have a big fight, their friendship is over. But the thing is, their siblinghood wouldn't be. They basically forget they aren't blood related in any way, and would totally make some kind of blood pact to make them more official siblings. They probably asked a witch or something to help them do that. Spire and Legumes relate to each other in a lot of ways. They like hanging out together
Pet
Legumes has a pet mountain goat she named Wayfinder to guide her through the storm. They love competing with each other to see who is the strongest and fastest.
Romance
Poppy Red and Legumes have been dating since freshman year. They met one day at a royal ball in the gardens of Poppy’s palace. Legumes was bored of all the fancy formal stuff, and decided to take some time outside and smell the roses, when she spotted Poppy all by herself, observing some plant specimens. They talked for a bit, and started to get along. This is how Poppy joined the little quartet of friends that is Poppy, Legumes, Spire, and Miriam. Then they fell in love and started dating. It works somehow. Legumes has a respect for Poppy and sees her as the coolest person alive. She will defend her to the death, and if anyone tries to hurt Poppy, Legumes will personally (try to) break their knees. She loves her girlfriend’s free spirit, and really appreciates her kind nature and how she’s willing to listen to other people. Poppy thinks of her girlfriend as a giant golden retriever. She may be tough on the outside, but on the inside she’s a cinnamon roll. If anyone were to be cruel to Legumes and hurt her heart, Poppy will not hesitate to kick flip them, somethings she has actually done to someone.
They love listening to each other talk about their passions. Sometimes they’ll just hang out together so one of them can talk about their latest project while the other listens excitedly (even if they don’t understand any of it). They also just like sitting in silence together, reading or drawing next to each other and just living in those quiet moments together.
They do slightly disagree on the royal rebel conflict. Poppy isn’t completely supportive of it either side, as she is slightly fearful of her loved ones poofing, while Legumes is openly supportive of the rebels. They’ve had a few small arguments about the subject. Nonetheless, they still care about each other and respect each other‘s opinions and choices.
Boxing Team
Legumes is the captain of the boxing team, so she has to keep all its members in line. This can prove frustrating, but she's trying her hardest to be a good leader.
Sun Qiang is the most infuriating person Legumes has ever met, and their relationship dynamic is "the class clown" and "the one kid who can keep them under control, mainly via intimidation." Qiang isn't the most respectful, but Legumes has her ways. When they mess with another student, Qiang will receive a lecture. When they pull a prank, they are the one to clean up after the next 4 matches. Legumes legitimately cares about Qiang and wants to see them grow, they just need to pull themselves together.
Moose Wulf is Qiang's partner in crime, but he is a bit more respectful towards authority and Legumes. He will go along with Qiang's antics, but alone, he doesn't cause as much trouble.
Freedom Selkie is one of Legumes favorites, since she is passionate about the sport. She's also the one who keeps the troublemakers in line.
Flint Match is similar to Freedom in the fact that he uses his time at practice to get his frustrations out, but he is generally a bit more of a troublemaker. He and Legumes have a bit more banter between them as a brother-sister type duo, as shown by their text chain during the Slushie Incident.
Enemies
Legumes and Rosa Lindworm had a short (one-sided) rivalry in their third year, due to Rosa's crush on Poppy Red. Rosa was incredibly jealous, and would be a bit passive aggressive to Legumes, who was just confused. She only found out what was going on through Veil, and it was very awkward. There was also an incident where Rosa challenged Legumes to a battle for Poppy R's honor. She did this via text. Unfortunately for her, she sent it to the wrong chat; the senior class chat. Most of them already knew, and it was just a small laugh, nothing big, but Rosa hid in her room for 3 days until someone made her come back out. Rosa's crush eventually faded, and she's pretty embarrassed about the whole thing, but it's more of a joke between everyone now. But if anyone who isn't Legumes, Poppy, or one of Rosa's kinda friends, then Rosa will send some interesting threats their way.
Legumes also dislikes her distant cousin, Magnificent Charming, as she finds him to be incredibly annoying. They loath each other, and disagree on almost everything, whether it be destiny, school, hobbies, Spire, food, marginalized groups, or politics. He is the exact reason why Legumes rarely visits Spire's room.

TFA AU: Humanformers
This was actually an AU I’ve thought about for a while, but was hesitant to share because I wasn’t sure I’d be able to explain it well. My writings on my AUs tend to disorganized already, so I wanted to wait to I could properly explain this AU idea before sharing. I think I can explain now, but in case you still don’t understand it, don’t be afraid to ask, and I’ll answer the best I can.
Humanformers
As the title hints, this is an AU where our beloved Autobots are humans.
In this AU, the main Autobots start out as humans, but gain the ability to turn into giant robots thanks to the Allspark.
However, in this AU, the bots they turn into had lives of their own on Cybertron. I wouldn’t really call this a reincarnation thing, more like they main characters were given the ability to transform into Autobots that had died.
I actually got inspiration from Steven Universe, mainly how Steven inherits his mother’s abilities after giving up her physical form for him to be born, but he inherits her problems as well and most of his enemies think he’s his mother when they first encounter him.
So that’s a major theme in this AU, the characters often have to deal with the consequences of their predecessors’ actions.
They’re basically Superheroes in this AU, more than they already are in the show. Meaning, they actually keep their identity a secret from others, with only Sari knowing their identity at first. Maybe Isaac Sumdac and Captain Fanzone later on.
And they basically look like their human forms from Human Error. It was there so might as well use it.
You know how in other TF shows, the main group are experienced and respected heroes? I’m going to use that here. While the crew in this AU basically have the same personalities as the canon, their predecessors’, the bots they turn into, were indeed those experienced and respected warriors. So while Decepticons and Autobots are expecting skilled heroes, what they really get is a bunch of rookies who have no idea what they’re doing or what’s really going on.
Characters
Optimus Prime: Orion Fanzone. That’s right, for this AU, he’ll be son of Captain Fanzone. He is a recent college graduate who just starts working at Sumdac Industries. While Fanzone isn’t too fond of machines, Orion would be pretty okay with them. He, of course, would be the reluctant leader of this team. At first, he would be pleased to be able to help people and be a hero, but he would be the most negatively effected by his predecessor’s past.
Prowl: Pierce Roberts. He’s a park ranger in this AU, which I thinks makes sense, since he loves nature in the show. I imagine him being least effected by his predecessor's past, and would even be sympathetic to what his predecessor went through, and the one who deals with having to deal with his predecessor’s past the best.
Ratchet: Rowen O’Donnell. A doctor, a veteran, and family friend to Captain Fanzone and Orion. He, at first, would want nothing to do with all of this, but would more or less be convinced to do so by Orion. Aside from Pierce, he would be more understanding to his predecessor's past, since, as a veteran himself, he can empathize with what his predecessor went through.
Bulkhead: Benjamin ‘Ben’ Hudson. A college student who is an art major. He would have a love-hate feeling for his new abilities. He would enjoy smashing things and would be pretty fun, but he would hate how much damage his accidently causes. He’ll learn to be more carefully and how to use his new abilities for his art.
Bumblebee: Barry Baker. A high school senior. I wanted to keep him as the youngest, but not too young. He would be the most excited about being able to turn into a giant robot and would, at first, be irresponsible with his new powers, but he would mature over time and learn that he can’t just play around with his power. ‘With Great Power comes Great Responsibility’.
Story
In this AU, during the Great War between the Autobots and Decepticons over the Allspark, there was a finally battle between Megatron and Second-in-Command Optimus Prime, Top Medic Ratchet, Master Cyberninja Prowl, Wrecker Bulkhead, and Scout Bumblebee.
However, while the Autobots are victorious, Optimus Prime and his team did not survive, and their ship and the Allspark was lost. Many assumed the team killed Megatron, but Starscream had a hand in Megatron’s demise.
And as we know, Megatron and the ship would fall to Earth, with the ship falling to Lake Erie and Megatron being found by Isaac Sumdac.
The only thing that would remain of the original team would a shard of each of their sparks. And those shards would somehow find a way to the new team, and those shards would allow them to transform.
Eventually, the team would find a way to each other. For now, I imagine them all coming together during that monster attack during part 2 of the first episode “Transform and Roll Out!”
I imagine they had transformed at least once before the events of that episode, but that would be the first time they would’ve done so together. They’re fighting and teamwork would be sloppy and uncoordinated at first, but they would manage to get the job done and save Sari.
Shortly after their victory, the Allspark would call them to it, and wanting answers, the group would follow, with Sari being brought by Barry in secret.
But of course, they wouldn’t really get any answers as the Allspark is a very cryptic item. But it would still give Sari her key, which can still allow her to heal the crew in their robot forms and use it on other machines.
Sari would be the one who suggests they become superheroes. Barry and Ben would be quick to agree, Orion and Pierce would hesitate at first, but eventually agree, and Rowen would be “No, I’m too old for this.” Orion would eventually convince him to join.
So overall, the show would be about them being Superheroes, with only Sari knowing their identity and aiding them in whatever way she can.
But like a lot of superhero stories, it doesn’t take long before their secret lives as heroes start affecting their civilian lives, both in good and bad ways.
And it gets worse when Decepticons come after them, wanting to kill them for reasons the team doesn’t understand and thinking their someone else. Starscream would be the first, wanting to take the Allspark from them and gloating at how he killed Megatron, and they don’t even know what the heck he’s talking about.

A Rescue Bots AU where everything is the same, but at some point, Cody starts to use punk/emo/black clothes not because he feels sad, but because he likes the esthetic and Heatwave likes things with spikes.
And so, on the outside, he looks like a cool punk rocker but when someone talks to him he shows the warmest smile anyone could give!
His dad and family want their little sunshine back!
This would be fun to see!
I can see this happening sometime after season 3 or even season 4. He decides since he’s grown so much since meeting the bots, he wants to try a new look.
I imagine he would go punk/emo style because the style is cool, tough, and maybe to show he may be a nice guy, he isn’t a naive little kid.
At first, everyone would be greatly concerned and are worried something’s wrong with Cody.
But Cody would show that he’s still the sweet, compassionate boy they know and love, he just wants to try a new look.
Heatwave would definitely like the new look, I can even imagine he would aid Cody as he creates his new look.
Chase would disapprove, thinking Cody looks like a hooligan, but since Cody doesn’t engage in any illegal activity, he wouldn’t try to stop Cody.
Blades would not like it at all, thinking the new look is scary and he wants sweet Cody back.
Boulder wouldn’t really understand, but he would be supportive in Cody wanting to try new looks and styles.
Charlie would be concerned, but seeing that Cody is no different personality-wise, he would chalk it up as a phase and allow it.
Kade would think he looks like a punk and might pick on him about going through a goth-phase, but he wouldn’t really disapprove of the new look.
Dani would actually like it, but she would tease him a bit how Cody’s too sweet to really be punk/emo, but she would like the new look.
Graham would definitely be concerned and would question why Cody likes this aesthetic so much, but he wouldn’t really say that he doesn’t like it.
The town would definitely be surprised by Cody’s new look, but Cody would quickly put their worries to rest by proving that while he looks different, he’s still him.

Pokémon Bede's League Cards
Something that I've noticed and but never really paid much attention to (and I've never seen anyone else talk about it), is about Bede's League cards:
These Cards have two different signatures!
That might not be a big deal but on the major league cards, the regular and rare cards have mostly the exact same signature.
There are only three exceptions:
One Card having a signature while the other is blank. (Hop, Marnie, and Piers)
The signature being the same, just in different colors. (Melony, Mustard, and Honey)
Ball Guy only has one card.
Bede's card really stands out because the signature is entirely different. Maybe it's to symbolize he's in a better place, developed into a better person thanks to Opal's influence. He went from an orphan desperately trying to please his 'father figure' Rose, to a Gym Leader under the guidance of someone who actually cares about him and his well-being.
That's just my thought. If anyone else has thoughts on this, please share!
Honestly, this has been on my mind for so long, but this was before I was really invested in Tumblr and by the time I was, the game was out for a while, so I decided not to say anything about it. Until now, that is.

My #1 post of 2022
Pokemon Iono and Klara
When I first saw the new Gym leader, Iono, in the lastest trailers for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the first thing that came to mind was how similar she was to Klara from the Isle of Armor DLC for Pokemon Sword.
First glance, their designs are pretty similar to me, just different type themes, like Klara is Poison while Iono is Electric.
They both have pink hair with pokemon-themed hair accessories, Klara has a white Dustox bow and Iono has Magnemite hair things.
Those boots they have look rather similar, just, again, different themes.
They both present themselves as cute and bubbly, but there is something about them that indicates that that's not entirely who they are. Klara looks like a bubblegum pop girl, but is vindictive and calculating, and Iono looks cute and energetic, but those sharp teeth indicate that she is a fierce gym leader.
And they both seem to be focused on their popularity and image as well as their skills as gym leaders. Klara was an underground pop singer who decided to become a gym leader to become more popular and mostly wanted people to dote on her before getting serious about her training. And Iono is a streamer and influencer, so popularity must be an important thing for her, if her stream is any indication.
They give me the impression that if ever met, they would act like BFFs in public, but would be heated rivals, both in terms of popularity and skills as gym leaders.

Hi, this is my (@noperopesaredope) pinned post for this sideblog of mine which is probably going to be small, but I made it anyways. So, I recently got back into Sanders Sides, and for years now, I have been considering making my own sides (I actually had an original story related to that once, but I mostly scrapped it). Recently, I randomly came back to this concept and started working on my own personal sides (all of which are the same as Thomas’, but with their own unique personalities and relationships. Also, they are my own sides and have no relation to Thomas as a character). This is a sideblog dedicated to them and any content I may make about them.
Here is a list of my sides with links (will edit this later) (none of them have proper names yet):
Heart (basically Morality but with a more fitting name)
Artsy (Light Creativity)
Writer (Dark Creativity)
Frets (Anxiety)
Doc (Logic)
Self-Preservation AKA SP (basically Deceit but not)

What Even is This Blog?
Hi, so, I’m NopeRope (@noperopesaredope is my main blog), and I’ve developed a weird hyperfixation on this webseries by Fight Child Abuse. I’ve just been fascinated by it, and I’m not completely sure why. Maybe because they’re so affective and good at teaching people about s*xual ab*se. Maybe it’s because they’ve been helping me work through my fears and anxieties about SA and s*xual ab*se. Maybe it’s because I love the artstyle and character designs. Maybe it’s because I really like the characters for some reason and want to explore them or something, particularly outside of the context of s*xual ab*se. Maybe I just want to see these kids be happy. Maybe I want to hate on their abusers. Maybe I’m just weird. Who knows.
But basically, this blog is making posts dedicated to the webseries. I’m gonna talk about stuff, maybe make some fanart, do headcanons or something, hate on the ab*sive characters, and generally do stuff that most fanblogs would do, but for a “fandom” that literally no one else is a part of. I’m sorry this blog exists. I just don’t want to subject my main followers to this nonsense against their will. I hope you like some of this stuff.
