I had to find a new way to make my daughter fall in love again with oyster mushrooms. And I did it!! So simple, marinating them in: 2 tbsp of teriyaki sauce 2 tbsp of harnup extract Lots of garlic Green onions 1 tbsp sesame oil I put the wok at middle heat, melted a tbsp of peanut butter and let the mushroom stir fry for around 4 - 5 minutes. Wow, the result is sublime!! She tried and opened her eyes and told me they are wonderful! Who needs meat with these?! I completed the dish with lots of veggies, cabbage, carrot, celery, broccoli, cauliflower and even chard! using the same marinate. Wonderful! And we tried the Konjac rice for the first time. It is so filling and nutritional. It seems we made peace with oyster mushrooms. I missed them and I'm glad I decided to go to the weekly market yesterday and get them once again. #wfpb #eattolive #vegetables #nonprocessedfood

Just finished making homemade cheez-its thanks to @momables. I switched the recipe a little and used both extra sharp white cheddar and smoked cheddar. Delish!!! And it's only 5 ingredients (cheese, flour, milk and butter and salt) although I forgot to add the salt. I definitely didn't miss it! Opposites (un)attract?
Day Three.
And ... go ... I draw a blank. I thought yesterday was tough to write, today is much harder. I feel very moody and missing the horrible foods I used to eat. It's odd, I'm craving cinnamon rolls! Maybe its because christmas is in just a couple of days. I'm trying to shed my cub like coat that I've put on during Thanksgiving. I will admit - I've realized too that the older you get, the harder it is to get weight off. I remember in my teens or early twenties, I would make fast a day or two and feel REALLY skinny after that. Now, I just feel the same - only STARVING!!! It is definitely going to take some time to get my thoughts under control. I don't need that junk. 
Off to play Cinderella...
