fun fact about me is the reason i’ll sometimes unnecessarily append “mr/miss” to the beginning of names here on tumblr.com is that in high school i had to write a “letter” to ayn rand about her book and my teacher thought it was very funny that i kept repeatedly addressing her as miss rand while eviscerating atlas shrugged.

I know I signed up for this by reading omegaverse but it rly is misogyny but for men (so we the slash readers can get invested but ALSO have a discrimination plotline). too pesky to involve women in writing abt misogynistic violence and discrimination ofc. I hate supernatural

Tumblr media
You knew the deal. Nine words spoken in a nonformal contract to you the first time Miguel clawed his way into your apartment, bloodied and bruised.
“I cant promise you I’ll come home, mi alma.”
And you knew the words after that, too.
“… but I can promise you that I will die trying, with you in my thoughts, always.”
That night, he sat you down. Made you swear that you would never get too attached. Being a superhero in New York was a lethal deal, and you had to be prepared for anything— everything. Miguel wouldn’t stand the thought of breaking your heart, at least without warning, so he forced you to seal it, everything you loved about him buried away in the depths of your mind.
Yet, human emotion was the victor concerning the inner workings of your heart. And, when he comes home, every little detail of that contract you made shatters.
Miguel treads the glass of your longing heart with fatigued steps, focused on nothing but the sweet capture of your embrace. You feel as if he is a gift sent from the heavens themselves, gazing upon shades of brown that reflect tawny in the light. The light stubble he grew scratches against your jaw as he draws thick sighs of relief, and you feel as if you’re in a fever dream, hands tiredly fumbling for your belt as you sing your praises of his return.
And still, nights like those are a rarity. The words he uttered to you years ago float through your head like a lost prayer, and you’re left lost in the shadow of his absence.
You often find yourself waiting for Miguel to come home. Through all four seasons, the same spot on the couch awaits you night after night, TV static spitting dull reflections of the world outside as you stare up at the ceiling. Some nights, you wonder if he’s finally met his maker and run short of luck.
You still wait. Days turn into weeks, and weeks turn into months. Just as you’re about to lose hope, he returns, just the same as you remember. Suit roughed up, gashes and cuts adorning his skin. He’s nonchalant to the fact, sultry eyes staring you down— a look that you know is just for you. Your fingers find homage in the roots of your hair, brushing thick, unruly strands from his gaze. A little longer than you remember.
“Qué bueno verte, tesorito.” He mumbles, tracing his teeth against your neck as he picks at your skin. “Te extrañé.”
[“IT’S GOOD TO SEE YOU, TREASURE. I’VE MISSED YOU.”]
You hum, eagerly latching around the collar of his suit as he pulls your shirt off. Heat trails along your thighs as his bare hands run along them, dipping his head to kiss you while his index finger loops around your panties. He tastes lightly of cedar and pine, and you smile against his lips as the familiarly of him settles deep within your chest.
“I’ve been thinking about you, day and night.” His voice is just above a whisper, fingers dragging along the slick folds of your pussy. “Couldn’t wait to come home and…”
His sentence trails off into a hitch in his throat, blinking slow at the sight of you, practically drooling for him. His fingers swipe lazily at your bud, kicking the rest of his suit off before snaking over you. You’re panting lightly, face tinted in a dusted pink as he strokes his cock, teeth lightly tugging at his lips as he does so.
“Don’t tease me, Miguel.” You complain, softly pinching his arm. “I want you, now.”
He huffs in amusement, lips perking up in a smile.
“You haven’t changed a bit, cariño.”
[“HEART.”]
The shift of his hips is sudden, and you gasp at the sudden intrusion of his cock filling up your hole. A heavy breath escapes you as he struggles to push his way fully inside, hands planted firmly on your sides, head just inches from yours. Sensing your discomfort, Miguel peppers kisses over your lips, seemingly making the way he bullies his way into your walls more bearable.
“So pretty, mi alma.” His words are soft, flowing in both ears as he draws himself back. “Sé que puedes tomarlo, breathe.”
[“MY SOUL. YOU CAN HANDLE IT.”]
You do as he instructs. Tears prick at your eyes as he thrusts in and out of you, cock heavy with lust, dragging against your tight walls. With each slap of his balls against your pussy, you can see Miguel’s gentle nature slowly escape him. His breathing becomes rugged and hot, panting against your neck in rough takes. Tiny beads of sweat collect at the base of his forehead, and he grips the headboard above you to stay grounded.
“Mmh- feels so good Miguel.” You whine, hands clawing at his scalp. “Don’t stop.. please.”
Your words toy with his self control, twisting a knot deep in his abdomen that furrows his eyebrows tightly together. The growl that emerges from his throat is nearly animalistic, and you bite your lips as he lifts your neck up with his nose.
“Need to taste you, por favor.” His words are strained, mouth hanging open to flash the canines rooted into his gums. “I’ll be gentle, ah- I promise.”
[“PLEASE.”]
His pace is unrelenting, in sync with the fangs that sink into your flesh. Miguel moans against your skin, sending a deep vibration to your nerves that makes you squirm. Blood drips from the puncture when he releases himself from you, lifting a thumb to stifle the bleeding.
The taste of your own blood fills your mouth as he kisses you, and you feel a wave of heat flash over your body. Your stomach tightens, and you cry out against his mouth, faintly gasping as he presses down harder on your throat.
It’s all too much— yet not enough. Miguel groans your name, pace stuttering as spurts of cum paint your insides white. His hold on your skin lightens at the feeling of you gushing over his cock, thrusting sloppily against your spent pussy a few more times before pulling out.
He fully snaps back once his dick flops against your stomach, thick strands of hair messily coating his eyes. You pant in synchrony, chests heaving, blood slowly flowing from your cheeks. He looks so pretty like this— glassy eyes fighting to stay open, fangs prodding against his mouth, slightly ajar.
Such a sight reminds you of why you wait for him to come home, no matter how long it takes. After all, you knew what you signed up for, and his return only made you yearn for him further. Never could you imagine putting your life in anyone else’s hands.
You push at him lightly, gesturing to the open wounds on your neck. Miguel scrambles once he sees them, hurriedly returning to you with a large wrap of gauze and a bottle of rubbing alcohol.
“Lo siento, cariño.” He mutters, gently sticking a few thick layers of bandaging against your skin. “I should’ve controlled myself, I’m-“
[“I’M SORRY, LOVE.”]
You cut him off by pressing your index finger to his lips, smiling as his mouth slowly falls shut.
“Don’t worry, Miguel. You’ll let me get you back, won’t you?”

freud, unable to reproduce the signs of hysteria, naturalizes and sexes them. the hebrew narrative, in moments of naturalizing, sexing, and refusing reproduction, follows this register. self-harm, rape and non-con, sacrifice and oil horns, the erogenous and nonformal—here the father (of heaven, not of psychoanalysis, now) feels foreclosed from a hysteria more archaic, more removed from any couch

also i think when you harp specifically on the makeup thing you’re missing the larger issue which is that gender conformity will never be liberating under the patriarchy no matter what and thus to effectively tackle this feminism needs to be not just inclusive of but centered around butch and trans women. being like “you feel more confident in makeup bc of Society” is like. a true enough statement but ultimately does nothing to address the realities of gender nonconformity and how it’s treated within society
i could not be further from a ‘choice feminist’ obvi but i do think the movement has bigger issues than the reasons why someone might choose to wear makeup

Hello there! What are your thoughts on mars opposite jupiter in the natal chart?
Hi,
it's hard to stay focused, but even more so motivated. These people get motivated easily, yet they have a hard time staying motivated. They could have more of a subconscious fear of committment in romantic partnerships. They want the ideal romance, partnership, yet they fear it won't be enough or they will get bored of it. They also are masters of self improvement, so they want a partner to grow and expand with them. And I'm not gonna lie, this is hard to find. That's why they are single for a long time. Because they find stagnant partners who won't want to grow with them. They like someone who is on the same self evolving, self improvement journey. They also marry or partner up rather late, even after 30 or they jump from one person to another due to searching for the one that would fit more to their personality, habits. They also are constantly learning in new nonformal ways, the type to read a book per week, watch educational video and read educational resources on any topic of their choice. They actually strive for education, yet have the most intense time, stress time during it. These people get easily stressed out when in higher education, their energy runs out quickly, that's why a lot of these people love education, yet still find it stressful.
A lot of these people will say that they absolutely love acquiring knowledge and information, but don't enjoy the process of studying, learning, going to the lectures, writing thesis, writing research papers, because they get easily stressed out during those times. It impacts their health directly too.

May I ask what do radfems think about men wearing makeup? Or alternative subcultures where makeup is considered androgynous? For example goth and emo come to mind as quite common ones?
(I know you can't speak for everyone, but I've seen you post about makeup before)
i don't really have much opinion on men wearing make-up tbh (much as i don't re any individual women). the mechanisms behind it aren't the same, so it's not really comparable. there's no widespread social push for men to wear make-up, they're not being considered unprofessional or nonformal or underdressed for not wearing it. no one's arguing with a guy that he has to wear make-up for this and that occasion. men aren't being marketed it constantly. you don't have to look far and wide to to find a barefaced man in media (or, indeed, on the street). any obstacles a man might face due to wearing make-up is an entirely different (and here largely irrelevant) conversation (though of course still linked to misogyny + homophobia). in theory degendering make-up would be a positive, though i don't see that happening any time soon - and even then it would have to be achieved by more women actively not wearing make-up, not a handful of guys doing it.
i do think there's a certain disctinction to be made between 'everyday'/natural make-up and alt make-up, but not a giant one. it's still not particularly healty. it's also a misnomer to call make-up androgynous in most (if not all) of these subcultures imo - both the extent and styles differ, and it's still more women wearing it than men. the average emo guy is not spending the same amount of effort on make-up as his female counterpart. natural make-up is definitely worse in this regard, but i still think there's something inherently alienating about covering up your own face near-constantly.
it does discern itself slightly in that alt culture is obviously about rejecting social norms (while beauty culture is about following them), but it's naive to act like beauty culture isn't still influencing alt norms to a big degree. nothing exists in a vacuum. just because you're not following the trends doesn't mean you're not taking the ideas behind them in. alt makeup can still be about covering up 'blemishes', trying to achieve the appearance of a certain facial structure, etc - striving after a certain beauty norm, in short. cultural norms in alt spaces are still influenced by general cultural norms (i'd also argue that a lot of the trends aren't actually that different). they're not particularly less mysogynistic. (there's also something to be said about the commodification of alt cultures, but i won't get into that here.)
i'll acknowledge that the expression is different, though, and i do think there's more weight to the self-expression angle here. overall i do actually prefer seeing more 'out-there' as opposed to 'natural' make-up. there's something more active about it, in that you're not just playing along with the expected. no one's being coerced into doing corpse make-up or whatever. it's more conscious. i am a big fan of originality, of breaking norms, of not playing along, and of breaking trends. take that how you will.
tl;dr i don't think either have big enough societal influences to really matter in the big picture. while interesting, all of this is a minority of cosmetics use, and a fringe group of beauty culture as a whole. they're truly a drop in the ocean. thank you for the question.

Xena and Gabrielle are absolutely riddled in flirty vibes and witty banter right from the get go that you honestly could view them as if they’re already a couple or even already married. I know it’s mainly Lucy and Renee’s easy intimacy and friendship that brings all this about in them more than it is the writing but I haven’t even seen actual canon WLW/queer ships in TV art/entertainment with this much natural chemistry between them that even if they’re not officially together, they behave as if they already are because all of what a relationship or partnership is besides the sexy times is what they do AND actually… odds are the reason for that is because they’re not officially together so all of this is unresolved romantic tension. It’s like it’s all in the mystery of the nonconsummation between them why it’s even there.
So it actually makes a lot more sense to interpret Xena and Gabrielle as best friends with benefits than it ever is to interpret them as being officially together as a couple because you can clearly tell that they’re in love. Like you can just see it so well on screen that it doesn’t even have to be stated. I suppose that’s why they call it “subtext” rather than main text. But if you ask me, I’d say this level of “subtext” is much better than main text because this is something I don’t see in canon couples. I know it’s likely because they’re both lead characters why that will be because you very rarely get 2 leading female characters that interact this much in TV shows but it’s like THIS is the level of a relationship I expect to see between an actual couple and these 2 already have it whether they’re actually officially together or not so does it even matter if they’re not confirmed as one?
I don’t think it does because this is more than enough for me. It always has been more than enough for me. Like it doesn’t ever need to be explicit for me to see in them the genuine love and devotion because… well… it is all of that already. It’s just not put into a definitive context but why ever do you need to define something that you can always experience? If you think about it nature itself is like that. You can’t really ever define nature because it’s already everything or it’s already in everything. In fact if you could then it wouldn’t be so all-encompassing. I think love is just like that as well or anything that is immaterial and is not really a “thing”.
It’s transcendent. It goes beyond the boundaries of labels and definitions and contexts. It just exists in and of itself and therefore it can only ever begin or end that way too. It’s like energy. They say energy can’t ever be quantified or divided because it already IS everything. So it can’t ever be created or destroyed either. It can only ever be transformed because it’ll always be there in some form or another or even not as any form at all. That’s kind of the point. It doesn’t ever have a specific “form” because all forms and nonforms is what IT is.
I didn’t intend to take this light subject so deep but I guess it’s just in my nature to do so because I think of Xena and Gabrielle’s relationship far deeper than most do and what I’ve always said is that Xena and Gabrielle are more romantic as a ship because they’re not just a romantic ship. They’re everything else alongside it too. I refer to them as ‘the human representation of yin-yang’ not just because of their constant contradictory yet complementary dynamic but also because ‘yin-yang’ is in everything and everyone. It is in nature itself. So essentially I’m just saying Xena and Gabrielle as a dynamic represents how everything even works. They represent The Way. Tao. That’s an intense statement but because I understand ‘Xena: Warrior Princess’ fundamentally as a Western masterclass in Taoism, then I’m obviously going to regard Xena and Gabrielle as something so much more than just a romantic ship. Something so much more than to just point at and say “these 2 characters are in love” because that’s basic. Yeah, they’re in love. But how does their love inform their relationship and how does their relationship inform the TV show and its Universe? That’s when what’s basic becomes more comprehensive and deep. That’s when the love between them goes beyond romance or sex and that’s when it becomes very difficult to define the nature of that love between them because you’re just trying to define what it is when what it is goes beyond definition in the same way you can’t truly define nature or energy because what it is exists in everything and IS everything. I mean how do you define everything when everything informs, builds on and maintains itself? 🤔
Xena and Gabrielle’s relationship is a subject that when you go deep into analysis about it, you just find yourself with more questions than answers - such is the same with understanding ‘The Universe’ or ‘God’. There’s always more questions than answers because it is just far too deep and complex for human comprehension and something that transcends time-space always will be. I’m using physics and philosophical terms here to explain what I mean by this but I really do believe that the love and the relationship that’s between Xena and Gabrielle is akin to the greatest of love stories and relationships of all-time because I do not believe it can be defined and I think that trying to define it would only cheapen what it is because there’s so much more to it than romance or sex. I’m not saying it’s not ever that. It’s just more than that to the point where that’s basic. You can look at every other WLW/queer ship in TV art/entertainment - be it canon and officially together as a couple or not - but you won’t ever have this problem because they’ll be nowhere near as well-written, well-portrayed and well-established as X&G are. Trust me.
What X&G are or need to be is already there and it’s there 10x what would be with any other WLW TV ship. What’s not there as much as it is with other ships is something of which doesn’t define the nature of love because the nature of love goes beyond any definition. People want explicit. People want main text. I just want to see a journey of a relationship/partnership. That’s it. If I can easily see the love between the ship naturally, organically and authentically and I can also see how that love informs everything around it - then that’s all I need. I don’t care whether it’s stated or not. I don’t care whether it’s referred to as a romantic/sexual ship or not. I don’t even care it’s confirmed in the text. None of that matters to me because that doesn’t represent what “love” is. All that does is it gives context and definition to something that doesn’t even have to be put into any context or be defined and can thrive without it because the experience of it is already more than enough for me.
Xena and Gabrielle survived and thrived through the censorship because the “romantic” or “sexual” aspect to them went under the radar when it was aired on TV. But I can guarantee you that without it, you would have gotten a love relationship that was nowhere near as profound. You’d have probably still gotten a well-written and well-portrayed one. But the journey would have been less epic because they would have never needed to think about how to represent it as deeply as they did. And in that way, censorship is a very useful tool for true representation if - and only if - the creators are sincere and they really care about representing love between 2 women because they understand the assignment of it. They understand that it’s what their characters need in themselves as individual people and that it is also the natural progression for their relationship to fall in love because they are constantly each other’s cornerstone to living in that they’re always put in situations where if not for the love they have for and devotion they have to each other then they would not be able to survive at all. The TV show would end. It wouldn’t be able to continue. They understood this so well that they couldn’t deny it. They couldn’t deny them. And they couldn’t deny us. They chose it to be this way because it really was the only way if they still wanted the stakes as high as they were and for them to ultimately mean something good. The TV show was better in that it was more compelling, more valuable, more substantial. The romance worked so well because it was more than a romance but at the same time, still the most romantic thing you’d ever see.

I just found out about JoCat and my heart is broken.
If you're one of the people who harassed him, you can go rot in hell.
If you're not one of the people who harassed him, but you're still celebrating, laughing about, or otherwise don't see anything wrong with this, you can also rot.
JoCat is one of the most wholesome people on the internet. He's dedicated to LGBT rights, a huge supporter of the arts who did multiple charity streams/ events to support artists in situations where they were out of work, and this whole thing was because he did a cute little video to a parody song he made celebrating that he liked girls of all shapes and sizes. He absolutely did not deserve to be bullied off of the internet someday.
Jo was dedicated to creating a safe space for the people needed it, and we've lost that now. (We can only hope it's only for now, and he'll come back some day, but if he decides to make that indefinite hiatus permanent, that's entirely his right.
Also, those of us who are straight and cis but still somewhere on the gender nonforming spectrum have lost one of the very few (only???) representations we had out there.

Maxie 🍒 🥝🍤
YAYYY i needed to yap rn :D SO!!!
🍒 - I usually make him so he can't have caffeine, but likes the flavor of coffee, so he drinks decaf - self projection :3 I think he sleeps a little lightly, and wakes up pretty stiff, so he wakes up at 5am to give his body time to get to full energy by 6am. I also think he has a sweet tooth, especially lava cookies, but I fear that's a common headcanon. I headcanon he has autism, and struggles to tell when he's hungry (the "humans require fuel just as machines do" line in PokeMas is how I think he reminds himself), as well as a struggle to read peoples emotions in a subtle or nonformal sense (or struggles to respond well, despite wanting to comfort others).
🥝 - I headcanon that Maxie actually had really good parents (especially with the RS-Hen version of Maxie's mother making him pudding), but grew up in poverty. His parents wanted a good life for him, and gave up a lot for him, to ensure he had food and education (given how he excelled when given the opportunities). This gave Maxie a sense of guilt from a young age, that his parents were sacrificing and struggling when they didn't have to - and he wanted to help them. Eventually, this changed to a desire to reform or help the world, help not just his parents, but also any families forced to endure that as a result of poverty being such a prevelent yet ignored issue. He eventually got into college via a sponsorship from Greater Mauville Holdings, under the agreement of working as a researcher in Sea Mauville when he got his degree - and Maxie agreed. He befriended Archie as a coworker while in Sea Mauville. When Sea Mauville shut down to prevent damages to Pokémon, yet in doing so, did damages to the economy, leaving many people without work or the income they need to survive. This circles back to why Maxie was there in the first place, supporting his parents. He feels it's an issue all over again, and this time, his mind notes the fault to prioritizing Pokémon over people - and resorts to the inverse, people over Pokémon, if the choice HAD to be made, which he believed it had to and was dire at that point. Hence, why he starts Team Magma and argues with Archie. I also headcanon that how demanding Sea Mauville seemed to be effected Maxie greatly - it notably seemed to demand the sanity and safety of it's workers, and excuse it with being for the good of Hoenn. So, I feel like in some ways, Maxie's nature to automatically nuture others, and apologize for displacing responsibility onto others, is a heightened sense of it.
🍤 - ORAS Gameverse, AniPoke very close second. ORAS I find has a lot of depth and reasoning to him, and AniPoke seems to be the roots of some of that portrayal! I dislike how AniPoke Maxie only gets two episodes, since he's portrayed well - it's my roman empire, how the moment Team Aqua grunt's lives are in danger by Kyogre, Maxie orders Team Magma to help protect them despite rivalries (because Maxie's whole goal WAS for humanity's sake, he wants to help lives). ORAS Maxie shows this trait, as well as a sense of pride, in which how they effect each other interests me.

Akses Informasi yang Tidak Terkontrol: Generasi muda sering kali terpapar informasi radikal melalui media sosial tanpa bimbingan. this may be a convoluted question, but i am curious if there are any specific Hebrew words used in the bible that have especially fascinating translations/debate over translation for you? i am interested in how the different translations for single words may alter the understanding of entire passages.
hebrew bible terms that are nontranslatable, that evade translation, that refuse it, and that i return to hold anyway—the tetragrammaton; gen 1:2's tohu vavohu (nonformed unform); exod 34:35's qaran (radiant/horn); exod 21:22's yəladeyha vayaṣə'u (unformed fetus); num 19:2's 'adummah parah (red cow); chaqaq (phallus/staff/inscribe); rechem (womb-ish); exod 22:23 and lev 17:15's utərepah (mangled flesh); chor (hole, and, chora)
