The Xenites may collectively hate ‘Married With Fishsticks’ and indeed the entirety of Season 5.
But at least we got this from it:
Because that’s what the story of it was about.
It was never about Gabrielle and Joxer.
Why was that Gabrielle’s fantasy?
It wasn’t. It was her nightmare. But you can still learn something from your nightmares. Something positive.
It was all about Gabrielle’s struggles with being maternal after that whole trauma with evil Hope.
It was so she could learn to be a better parent to Eve.

What would a mother not do for her child What lengths would a mother not go There's a bond that exists between mother and child With no end to how strong it can grow It's a promise for life between mother and child It begins from the moment of birth.
================
She is six years old, and standing on the porch at her Auntie Alicia’s cabin. She is six years old, and holding an old rifle in her hands, standing at the railing and pointing the nozzle at a large target a couple feet away. There’s a pair of old ear muffs covering her ears. Behind her is her daddy and her sister, and Auntie Alicia. She can’t see them.
Danielle Martha Fenton is six years old, and her momma has her arms wrapped warmly around her, keeping the gun steady for her. It’s heavy and the butt digs into her shoulder uncomfortably, and she feels nothing but determined. And nervous.
Her momma was teaching her and Jazzy how to shoot, and they’re down in Arkansas to visit Auntie Alicia for her second “Divorce-iversary” as Auntie calls it. She keeps a hunting rifle in her gun safe for the rabbits that like to nibble on her garden. She mostly grows rhubarb, which goes untouched. But her carrots and greens and other veggies like to be tempting snacks for the game.
Regardless, she is six years old and learning how to shoot. Her momma and her daddy (mostly her daddy) have been banned from every shooting range outside of Amity Park in a hundred mile radius. So Auntie is the best place to learn, or so momma says.
Danny thinks it's just an excuse to see her sister, not that she's complaining. She loves visiting Auntie.
She’s already seen Jazzy do this, her momma told her before the muffs went on to shoot when ready. No use trying to fire when you’re not; you can’t afford to miss when shooting ghosts.
Danny breathes out steady, just like momma taught her, and quells her trembling little fingers. She focuses down the barrel, and pulls the trigger.
Immediately, the recoil throws her off, the side of the gun that her cheek was resting on knocks against her skin, harsh enough to bruise if it weren’t for her momma’s steady hands holding onto her. The bang of the gun startles her more than she thought it would, and her heart leaps up and runs a jackrabbit through her chest.
The gun is carefully slipped out of her hands, and Danny lets it go easily, her cheek smarting in pain and her eyes wide and following up to momma. Momma turns the safety on, and with a gentle hand, pushes against her chest. Danny takes a few steps back, and slips the ear muffs off her head.
Mommy is smiling big at her, something that Danny can’t help but replicate on her own face as her heart swells. “Did I get it, momma?” She asks, watching as she passes the gun off to Auntie Alicia, who steps over to take it.
“I’m going to go see, sweetie, but I think you did.” Momma coos, before planting both her hands on the porch railing and, in a single leap, vaults over the side and onto the grass. She’s dressed all comfortable for the summer heat, with her hair all tied back and in shorts and a tank top and nice boots. Danny’s ribs swell hopefully, and she stands on her tiptoes to watch her walk over.
“I’ll be hard-pressed to believe if you didn’t, Martha Mae,” Auntie tells her, grinning like a cat, “that was a damn good shot.”
‘Martha Mae Knight’ was Danny’s granny’s name. Auntie Alicia calls her that because of her middle name — and because, by her words, she has her momma’s weird-shaped eyebrows and piercing blue eyes. The kind that could scare a hawk into singing like a robin. It was Danny’s favorite nickname ever.
Daddy laughs brightly, the sound painful on her ears but twice as nice, and despite the distance, Momma whirls her head around to shoot Auntie a glare; “Language, Alicia. Not around my girls.” She warns. Her accent always comes through when they’re around Auntie. It’s Danny’s favorite thing to listen to.
“Do you think so, auntie?” Danny says, bright-eyed and ever-optimistic. Auntie Alicia nods fiercely as Momma finally reaches the target and searches for the bullet hole. Daddy then comes up behind her, still laughing, and claps a hand onto her shoulder so hard that it makes her knees hurt.
“Of course she did!” Dad boasts, as bright as the sun and twice as warm. He shakes Danny affectionately, wobbling her on her feet and pulling her straight into his side. She goes so willingly with a burble of giggles. “She’s got the eyes of a Fenton! And our family are darn good shots.”
Auntie eyes him up and down, her smile immediately fading off into a pressed line. “I’m sure you mean she’s got the eyes of a Knight. You couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn at twenty paces, Jack Fenton.”
Jazzy holds back giggles from where she’s standing by the door, her ear muffs in hand, and Danny watches her Daddy’s dark eyes immediately narrow. Just like Auntie’s, his smile tapers off into a frown.
Before he can say anything, there’s a cheer from the yard, and they all turn to Momma clapping her hands in delight.
Danny immediately pricks her ears up, and would’ve darn near rushed over to the railing if it weren’t for her Daddy’s hand on her shoulder. She yells instead, excitement thrumming like a hummingbird against her ribs, “Did I hit it, momma?!”
Momma beams at her with all the pride in the world, “You sure did, Danny!” And she turns to press her finger against the target, right on the inside red ring of the battered old bag. “Right here, sweet girl!”
There are cheers from all around, and Danny’s heart bursts inside her lungs with shiny, sunshine glee. She puffs her chest out big, and smiles so wide it hurts the cheek where the gun smacked her. Her Daddy shakes again, squeezing her tight against his side in a hug that Danny happily reciprocates.
“What’d I tell you, Martha Mae?” Auntie tells with a big wink and a wide grin, the gun still gripped tight in her hands as Momma makes her way back over. “You got a Knight’s eye.”
When Momma makes it back over the railing, she hugs Danny tight and praises her shot. Danny looks her in the eyes and chases the feeling, and asks to shoot again.

A portrait of my Pathfinder character Sabella's current mental state. She's having A Time.
▸ Everything she thought she knew about her life was a lie. ▸ Her great-grandfather is not just dealing with a fiends, he is one. He's a Rakshasa, has probably been several of her ancestors through reincarnation or impersonation, and he wants her to come home and be a good little pawn, sorry, grand-daughter. He particularly wants her back now he knows she can change her form and hide that she's a tiefling. ▸ But she wasn't actually born visibly a tiefling! Her older brother Cesare was though, and that was deemed unacceptable because they needed a respectable face for the family heir and not one that openly advertised that they had been dealing with fiends. Their second born, however, could be safely kept out of sight until they could find a way to permanently hide her fiendish blood too. So their heritages were swapped via horrible transmutation magic involving a painting stretched over a frame of magically re-shaped ribs, which has been hanging in her bedroom most of her life :) ▸ Totally unrelatedly hahaha; She's missing a rib! Cesare is probably missing one too :) It's fine, it probably contributes to her ridiculous acrobatics modifier she's real bendy :) :) It's fine :) Or could that be the ancestry involving a creature know for having wierd joints? Certainly no-one's looking at the way she moves with new eyes at all hahahahaaa :) ▸ Her parents may have been trying to protect her all her life which meant pushing her away and making her want to leave. Real shitty way to discover your parents might not actually hate you, might in fact love and want you very much. ▸ AND her dad has "business dealings" with the Azarketi ambassador, of the kind that mean they light up when they're in the same room and her mother is really pissed off. Is your family life not complicated enough already, dad??? ▸ Everything is Fine. ▸ :) :) :|
She's quite looking forward to getting to go and hit things that are completely unrelated to her fucked up family. (I am having a great time. Sabella may be in the middle of a nervous breakdown.)

I really miss the natural hair community & watching natural hair content generally. That was so good for Black Women; we were thriving at it, too. And as rapidly as it rose to popularity, it’s crazy how dead the whole concept is now. I think it had more to do w all the division created over routines around maintenance than anything else. Everybody was entirely too pushy w trying to make what worked for them personally a staple for taking care of textured hair in general — & that shit walked so that colorism, featurism, texturism & misogynoir could run. Now the same ppl who was riding the wave a few years ago & swearing by all these products, brands, sponsors, wash day & styling methods have put natural hair away as a concept entirely.
Also, why the hell did we waste all that energy prefacing everything w, “Stop doing this and do these things for your hair to grow to tailbone length overnight🤡” — just to go right back to weave and perms? All that researching for what? All the dedication to disproving antiblack/misogynoir notions about Black hair for what? All the redefining of protective styles for what? All the trying to unlearn the belief structures around the colonization of Black hair for what? What did we teach ourselves fr? How did we make things any easier for Black Women and little Black girls? It’s tragic af. The Natural Hair Community/Movement is dead, it seems like. I don’t think we fought hard enough to prevent what happened to it honestly :\
#this isn’t to call out or demoralize weave or perms or anything like that either#I don’t think there’s anything wrong w black women doing any of that#but on the flip side I do kind of feel like#maybe weave is a bit of a crutch for us?#even w an understanding of it being a conditioning via white supremacy & antiblackness#I just don’t understand why it was smothered as a movement#& why black women seem to have like…. kind of just rolled over with it?#it was legitimately good for us before everyone else went to bandwagoning for relevance#and I get that too#but I still feel like we did a poor job at defending & teaching each other first & foremost#non black people definitely got in the way of that#but we also got in each other’s way ourselves#everyone I used to be subscribed to on yt for natural hair content stepped away from it#even those w natural hair grown & maintained beyond their waist or whatnot#the switch right back to unhealthy means of taking care of textured hair was flipped so easily#it just saddens me cus we were working at doing better#esteeming ourselves#our nieces#our daughters#our female cousins and mothers and aunties about the way we take care of our hair#and fell just short of actually taking something tangible from it#it wasn’t about having longer hair#it was about giving textured hair representation in ways it mattered#we were so driven in this & it was beautiful#there is no movement or dedication to this in 2024 tho#proud of black women who were independent thinkers & didn’t fall off w all the chaos#them trends had ppl clambering all over each other#& it ultimately killed the movement#nowadays you don’t even hear from the non black women who were vulturing for clout#i be floored w how sparse any content true to the hash tags are anymore

man what a weekend. I went into lunch with my pizza launchable and came out twenty minutes later with things once again on fire political wise lmao.
and my lads, if you go into a cat rescue listing off extreme specifics, practically shopping for a kitten with certain color aesthetics, and not even taking the time being borderline hostile for me to politely explain the odds and ends of what a shelter is trying to do while showing you very friendly and cute other cats, and maybe a kitten isnt a good fit for your older, modest cat --
then please step on a sharp corner lego piece on the way out.
#leche txt#volunteering at a cat shelter whos done soo much good work for cats in my town#dude and his family came in. his daughter was very sweet and open to seeing the other cats#her uncle and father? aggro. told me half way to stop wasting their time and demanded to see kittens#they want a female orange tabby kitten as company for their older cat whos temperment they dont know w/ other pets or cats#dont play roulette with your pets bro. guaranteed youre gonna bring them back and we're low on space during cat season#not to mention stress both cats#kittens take a lot of time are energetic and they grow up my god.#and he tried to give me his number for a /raincheck/ when we do get one like BRO....WE'RE A NONPROFIT SHELTER....NOT A BREEDER#shelters are not for u to come in and shop around holy guacamole the cute silver tabby or tortie is just as good#really glad all our kittens got adopted that morning though so they walked off. I would have been so worried for the cat#hope the daughter is well#also female orange cats are rare so gl to you lol#ANYWAYS BESIDES THAT. LOVE THAT SHELTER ITS GOOD AND EVERYONE IS USUALLY SUPES FRIENDLY AND THANKFUL

one of the dramas from the wedding was one of the grooms cousins (on the other side not mine) just not wearing the clothes we had made for her specifically
#i think they cost smth like 1 lakh rupees so that is crazy#she is such a bitch i cannot believe it#when asked about it she just laughed in our faces and said it didnt fit.. it was custom made and she was the one who sent the measurements#and all of the other cousins wore matching ones in different clothes#she just thinks shes better than us.. bc she managed to go to the us and now has a fake american accent also#i dont get this inferiority complex our people have. it is ridiculous.#i told everyone we should we should ask for the clothes back since she clearly doesnt want them but they said it was a gift so no#actually i think she just wanted to be 'modern' and our clothes were a traditional gharara#so she came with her legs out :/#tbh she looked bad anyways so . actually idgaf#she literally did not acknowledge me or my sister at all i think she considers us . i dont know like their maids that were brought along#its actually crazy like. she was acting like she was closer to the bride and groom than we were and we were just some randos#its basically my brother who is getting married and we havent spoken to this girl for years?? she was the reason my aunt came to the uk#bc she used to beat up my cousin (who got married) when he was little and my aunt didnt want to be around her and her mum didnt control her#imagine breaking the family up and being hated by the immediate relatives of the groom and acting like you are the vip guest..#havent told my cousin how she acted with us yet bc partially its like whats the point shes nobody#but i feel like his wife thinks shes super nice bc of course she was sucking up to her#i dont want to be a bad sister in law and cause problems so i'll just keep it to myself#not like anyone will talk to her again so what does it matter#it was nice seeing our side of the family though#especially one of my great aunties who accoring to my sister i was 'glazing' lmaoo#maybe its bc they know i am my mothers daughter and the other side dont?#i feel like its still unacceptable behavoiur though. just rude for no reason you could at least say hello

ok fr last one but there's actually a bootleg of my school's anastasia and i'm linking it bc you all NEED to understand that my infatuation with this one girl's voice which started when i was in the 6th grade and still hasn't really worn off isn't based on nothing
#brielle's the one in the n95 mask (the video is too grainy to actually make out any of the ensemble's faces but she stands out)#and i'm the in my 'teenage tboy's diy first short haircut' era in every scene she's in#apart from everything abt the girl who plays anya. the tea on everyone else is that our director liked the boy who played gleb's voice so#much that she actually lowered some if not all of his parts to be in his range. the guy who played vlad was a total diva and uhm. the phras#'peaked in high school' has been tossed around at him a lot. and the fact that he came back to sub the year after he graduated isn't helpin#his case. also he pressured the girl who played anya's grandmother into wearing old age makeup + spray her hair grey bc he decided he was#going to wear it and since she's supposed to be older than him she had to too and used to waltz into the girls' changing room whenever he#wanted. everyone was like super shocked during auditions though bc we all thought he was a shoe-in for dimitry esp since seniors get#priority casting bc it's their last chance. but at callbacks (we had singing auditions via video and dance auditions in person and callback#were tacked on to the dance auditions) he kinda flubbed his song and then this freshman. who was with us via google meet bc he literally ha#covid at the time absolutely blew him out of the water and i remember walking away w brielle like 'holy shit [first name] [last name] just#lost a part to a freshman' (he's the kind of person you just have to full name otherwise it sounds wrong). that said i do think he made a#much better vlad then he would've made a dimitry and while he is. a lot. he's always been nice to me and i did briefly idolize him and his#stage presence way i did anya's singing voice but that faded when i got into hs and started actually observing his prima donna ways#(the one production we were in together before in middle school we didn't have any scenes together). the girl who played the grandma#actually shouted me out in cast circle and that's the only time that's ever happened to me. also i'm p sure her dad is/was dating someone m#dad and by extension myself work with so that's. Oh My God. like she (the one who works for my dad) brought him w her to a comedy show as i#think her bf but i'm not 100% sure and when he found out what school i went to he mentioned his daughter went there and despite the fact#that i basically have a script for when people ask me that question bc i do NOT pay attention to most of my fellow students and don't know#anyone i was like 'holy shit' bc i actually did. hm what else. the guy who played the tsar and i used to shittalk bad period dramas#backstage during the first part of act 2. also during the press conference scene i need you to picture all the bolshevik soldiers and#romanov royals doing the macarena behind the curtain bc that was absolutely what we were doing back there. speaking of the press conference#the really high singing w/o a clear source was actually anya standing behind the curtain on the other side of the stage bc she's the only#one who physically could sing the part. also in regards to the bolshevik soldiers. we were originally supposed to have wooden rifles but fo#some reason our director took them out so we had to just walk menacingly towards the romanovs. you can't rlly see me that well in that scen#but that jacket would NOT stay closed and for 2/3 performances i had to awkwardly hold it closed the entire time. luckily the one that was#filmed was the one where i was smart enough to bring safety pins and also saved like all of the ballerinas bc their costumes all started#falling apart at once backstage.#romeo.txt#theatreposting

Shoutout to 12/13 year old me to when you were given permission to buy whatever snack you wanted at the school ball game concessions stand. You didn’t know your friends’ mom was highly allergic to peanuts, they said nothing as they stood there watching you order the cup of boiled peanuts. You did not know and did not deserve to be yelled at nor glared at by a grown woman who should not have yelled or glared at you for a mistake no one warned you about. It was not your fault. And plus nothing bad happened, you kept your distance as asked of you and washed your hands and face throughly afterwards. You did nothing wrong.
#I think about this moment a lot#like the glare that woman had on me for a good while#her daughters literally didnt say shit until we got back to#the bleachers when her mom was like ‘don’t sit next to me I’m very very allergic to peanuts please and thank you’#please and thank you probably being the only genuine nice words in that sentence#like that’s literally when the girls all spoke up and said oh yeah we forgot to tell you#like how do you forget that??#even then I knew my mom is very allergic to avocado and shellfish#and so I’d always watch what I ate around her just in case it contained those ingredients#is it weirdly paranoid to say I felt like they set me up back then and still think they did even today?#I still have the feeling they didn’t like me too much and just hung around me because our mutual friend#had been my bff since 3rd grade(since before they met us)#talkies#vent#I guess it’s a vent?

i go back and forth with how i feel about flatterland. i didn't finish it because i wasn't having a good time with it, and i felt like stewart didn't understand some of the satire, (flatland had progressed far too fast far too quickly imo and it bothered me,) but i do like some of the concepts. like i mentioned starchildren in my last few fic chapters because i thought that was a solid piece of worldbuilding from stewart that really fit my irregularity/disability theming, but man... i wish i liked other stuff in the book better
#i think i get what he was TRYING to do#like the section where the protag's dad is sooo proud of himself for trying to be okay with his daughter dating an irregular#(and one SO irregular he's a plain old TRAPEZOID)#like the way it shifted to a more modern subtle bigotry was interesting. i understood it#but it felt so wrong for flatland as a PLACE to have progressed so much in like three generations#also stuff like color 'coming back in vogue' like that.... was not the point of color supression?#or just the (imo sort of lazy) 'well we had two world wars that got women in the workforce so flatland also had that :)'#where te history of flatland just so directly followed our own like... idk. didn't love it#flatland is not a place where i should read about home internet and cell phones#i didn't finish it so perhaps i'll eat my words someday but like#a few fun concepts. weird book as a whole

listening to call your mom rn (god it feels wrong spelling it like that)
gripping u by the shoulders. this song is everything to me.
#OKAY STORYTIME THAT NO ONE ASKED FOR:#do u guys remember that girl that was basically my bi-awakening and we had the very stereotypical#intense homoerotic friendship that traumatised the both of us? yeah her#well basically i still have a lot of love for her and we're still friends like she's in my hometown friend group so when i talk about them#i still mean her and out of our entire group she's the ONLY one who didn't go to uni and me and my other friend spoke recently#about how unhappy we know she is bc she got abandoned by us in this awful hometown and we dont think she loves her boyfriend#so much as she stays with him bc she literally has no one else until we come home her life is literally just waiting for us between terms#and i worry about her all the time and one thing that happened a while back was she did drugs w this one guy by the river#and she completely whitied like it was just weed but she was 17 and had never done it before and turns out she's like me#where edibles just do NOT agree with her on a good day let alone when she took as much as she did and she was with a random boy#by the fucking WIER (basically a big dangerous waterfall) and we were all at our mate's house that was a 40 min walk away#and she RANG ME. i was the one she rang. that still sticks with me. and omg it was so scary bc she was so out of it on the phone#and all i managed to get from her was that Something Was Wrong (didnt know what) and that we needed to pick her up#so we did. we got on bikes and fucking RACED to this girl and we picked her up and in the end she asked for her mum#and i was the one to take her to her mum and knock on the door and stand there with her daughter's arm around my shoulder#barely conscious her sick on my shoes and explain what happened. like WHAT#& yeah basically i still have so much love for that girl and i know she struggles with shit hence why that even happened in the first place#and it's like. im still here. i still love you. i'll call your mum. i'll come and get you. just ring me and i'll pick up. stay on the line.#so yeah this song did unimaginable damage the first time i heard it. literally gives me chills and transports me to my 17 year old self#we were young and didnt know what we were doing and the town was suffocating us#AND WE WERE BOTH DROWNING AND DIDNT KNOW HOW TO SAVE EACH OTHER BUT THERE WAS AN UNDERSTANDING THAT WE WERE DROWNING TOGETHER#ask#noah kahan

i think if you grew up in my household you would have put a gun to my mom and dad's heads already
#help i came home and they got so ballistic that i didnt say hi to them#after my 9 months of driving myself home and entering the house from work not once have they urged a greeting out of me#why the hell do they care now???#like mom got so mad and i was like um ok * goes back to watching danny gonzalez * then i get shouted at to come to parents room#and im like siiiighhh let me put on my jacket i know this will be a while#and im just getting yelled at and standing there like. is the song and dance over yet. can i get back to my computer#and my dad is like your MOM and I DONT TREAT YOU GUYS LIKE THAT#and im just in my head like.....you give us greetings rather than treating us like human beings.....ok....i would prefer the respect rather#than the greetings....#and my dads like whenever I come home I always greet everyone#and its like. yeah ? i can think of a few times where you havent but it doesnt matter when its you right#oh you can come home and greet everyone yeah but can you treat us with respect? are you capable of not having everyone groan when they hear#your car horn that indicates you're home? do you have the ability to not make everyone hide and vacate to their rooms when they hear your#key unlocking the door? no? then i dont care about the fact you can say hi to everyone#and mom is like lecturing me and my sister about not cleaning as well and its like hi what about your husband#hi maybe you should question why we cant clean our rooms#maybe its the fact you never taught us how to organize or how often to clean? did you know you've never taught us how to properly clean?#did you know i cant clean without a timer? are you aware that your eldest daughter that gives you attitude and promised to be mean when#she's taking care of you in your last years of life doesnt clean whatsoever? the 26 year old that acts just like your husband? the one whos#only chore is to wash dishes and doesnt even do that? she complains shes too tired because of work but even on her off days she doesnt do i#? do you remember that she only does the dishes when she's going out with a boy? do you remember the 3 months where i took it upon myself t#do everyones chores because i had the time? the way you dont acknowledge i helped out a lot during that time and helped keep peace through#the house by doing that? you dont because you love to focus on the negatives and as a result you make your own life miserable#and everyone else's?especially mine because im the one who actually feels guilt? but dont do it bc im tired of doing someone else's work?

Day 3 of I Am So Fucking Stressed.
#MOTHERFUCKER I STAYED BACK AN HOUR YESTERDAY SO WE COULD FINISH SOMETHING OFF#they said we need to have it ready to launch November 1st. so thats what i did.#i made sure everything on our end was ready to go for the morning of Nov 1st#AND THEN THOSE MOTHERFUCKERS SAY thanks. we'll launch it on Monday Nov 6th FOR FUCKS SAKE#and then for some completely unrelated reason i got a call from an Executive General Manager of our parent company.#because some team needed to borrow some physical material from us#they were insisting we leave it with the carpark security team for them to pick up and take to car#and were not telling me who was picking it up or when#based on past experience with this team it sounded like they were just being lazy or something#so i was insisting no I'll hand it over to you in the lobby. who is picking it up. let me know.#TURNED OUT THEY WANTED IT NEAR THE CARS SO THIS VERY BUSY EGM COULD PICK UP ON THE WAY OUT#WELL THAT'S A DIFFERENT STORY ARE YOU KIDDING ME#so he called me about it. he was very polite but like???????#also turns out the person i was dealing with was his daughter (nepotism!)#ma'am why the fuck didn't you throw the EXECUTIVE GENERAL MANAGER title around. i would have taken it to the carpark security straight away#i still have so much work to do. i was hoping to leave early today too.#BOOOOOOOOOO#ramblings of a bystander

disclaimer : this is a personal life vent look away
shouldn’t be sharing this but i need to take it off my brain (wow reading it back it really sounds like i lost my mind but unfortunately it’s all true and not all of it fits in 30 tags lmaooo)
#because at this point it’s too funny not to share#keep in mind that all of this happened in the last two months 😭#so my dad wants to introduce us to his new gf who he met barely two weeks ago on holidays and will now move in and look for a job here caus#she’s from romania and wants to stay ?????#i know because my dad asked me to clear my room so she has one which okay i guess#my room that’s currently full cause we had to get the stuff we stored at my grandparents following my parents breakup as they’re themselves#getting a divorce after 60 years together and selling the family home we all grew up in#this happening because my grandma got diagnosed with alzheimer n my grandpa so this as an escape door to talk about her being violent#cause breaking news we all looked up to them as the inspiration for a couple but apparently she’s been abusive their whole life#we also just learned to our last name should be different as my grandpa never knew his dad and too his mothers name#all of this we learned having to question our aunt cause we found out by randomly seeing to house on selling website and our dad just sayin#'sometimes people aren’t in love anymore' like we’re 5 yo#i don’t think my dad ever processed any emotion#taking it back to my dad he wants to introduce us on the 16th which funny thing is the day my mom is getting married to her partner#and im still not sure if my dad knows#marriage that makes me sicker the closer it gets cause the guy is a walking red flag and lately i haven’t seen my mom that much#cause i can’t stand him and how she is when he’s around#which he always. is.#oh and his daughter who hasn’t talked to him in years and truly i get it sis will be here but everyone knows#it’s to ask him for the money he doesn’t have again#so im torn but also i up she makes a fuss and everything gets cancel so i don’t have to talk to my mom about how she’s doing exactly#what she promised to never fall for again after finally ditching my dad#and like at least my mom’s side is out of the equation as there’s probably still a murderer on the loose looking for her sicko sister#who herself threatened my mom several times cause my mom dared calling her out on abandoning her disabled daughter to live#with their parents for twenty years and still now with them nearing 80 being sick and broke cause they never made it official and she’s#still the one getting money support lmaooo#oh how could i forget im also staying at my dads cause my big sister moved back with my mom and took my room#following her breakup with her bf of 4 years when she caught him cheating with a 16 years old#oh and now some of my best friends are still deliberating wether they ever wanna talk to me again#this could be fine if i could cry **** *** and dissociate but i no longer have my own room :) being so so brave rn :)

apparently, I had such bad vibes as a child that a coalition of moms at the development down the street prohibited their daughters from ever playing with me. not for any particular reason, they just thought I was “creepy.” and the reason I was always left out of girl scout meetings was because these grown adult women literally teamed up to systematically ostracize me from every gathering. ??????????
#i always got the vibes that the people at my elementary girl scout troop just Did Not Want Me There#and according to mom I was RIGHT#she pulled me from that troop because the other moms just really fucking hated me and told their daughters to exclude me#(fwiw we did not live in the development where most young families in our town lived. and we did not attend these people’s church#so that probably contributed to it)#and I wasn’t the only girl they did this to??? apparently one family moved away from our town and then moved back#and all of the moms in this development decided to like. harass and exclude the wife and daughter from this family#because they left I guess (even though they came back)#and this group of women is notorious for doing this???? like they get off on systematically excluding people from the PSA and stuff????#god small town drama is so bizarre

I’m still playing Sims 4 and so I made a household with a Sim of myself so I can try doing a bunch of different careers (for the items lol)
I ended up romancing Don Lothario and accidentally had his kid after downloading and trying out the WW mod (we had 1 date prior, and I asked for him to live in with me afterwards).
I wasn’t paying too much attention to his name (since this was my first time playing Sims 4 since mid 2010s and I don’t know characters or lore), and used the random name generator and named our daughter, Dawn. I did not realize I basically named her after him lol.
As things are now
We’re partners and “soulmates”
I go out to work (currently doing the spy career), while he’s basically my househusband
He was a creative freelancer when he was added to my household so he makes A LOT from paintings, and sometimes music
I gave him an variation of his default everyday outfit to give him glasses (bc I’m into glasses, but “lorewise” he spends more time at a screen for work so he started to need them)
I used a mod to change his “non-committal” trait into being a family man, and bc he’d still get tense from being “non-committal” (despite trying to get rid of it) I got a “carefree” potion from the rewards store RIP
I don’t 100% remember before changing it, but he was a decent dad beforehand. Now, its super cute seeing him chat and play with our daughter
My Sim wants to marry him, but I’ve been worried about him potentially refusing so I’ve just stuck with being “partners”
I did do a wedding on a different household (OC marrying Liberty) and that was a mess especially since I have no idea what I’m doing
I do now have actual venues to use in the future instead of the ugly base game park 👍
I did give my Sim the same necklace that he wears as a sorta “promise ring” in her outfits (I think its cute lol)
Bc I’m stuck on leveling stats, we don’t leave the house that often. But the WW mod has kept things… spicy without actual dates lmao
I think I’m going to try proposing and just having an incredibly long engagement soon…
#desiree talks#desiree plays#i would like to ignore any of the lore he actually has bc he’s mine now lol#also these are definitely not his kids but Katrina Caliente had two kids?#they’re both black so I’m certain that it was an auto generated NPC before I cleaned up the households#aka moving families back in their home finding stuff in the gallery to upgrade their homes etc#and editing the stories mode settings so they stay and stop having babies#and deleting auto generated sims that were ugly or had too many bad traits#so RIP i won’t know who the dad is and same for Dina and her kid looks asian#our daughter dawn isn’t undeniably cute (she got her eyes and looks like she has no lashes so it’s a bit weird#HIS EYES not mine#im so sorry sweetheart i love you and i’ll max your stats again before making you a teen#like i want to age her but i also want to buy dlc (when on sale) so we can make more memories aka the growing together dlc#also another thing about the WW mod i have to test it so NPCs don’t be doing the nasty in public#i saw one of my OC sims getting railed at the bookstore i placed and I was traumatized#like i have to triple check and test my settings#i also feel like a degen for having the mod and using it a ton on my sim and don but i dont hate it lol#like don is hot af after the design refresh#he got the best of it in comparison to the caliente girls#i saw his early sims 4 design and he looks like barely 20 with a incel podcast or just a listener#and his designs from past games make him look like a 40 year old divorcee#currently he looks like he’s around 30 and I’m getting closer to that age anyway#there are some cute animations either from WW or kawaii’s SoL mod (idr but its probably WW) and they’re really cute#god i want an actual relationship but i need a job and some personal security first before i feel comfortable putting myself out there#i tried the mod with my ocs and it felt more wrong than it being a sim of myself and my basically husband#hang on this is going in an actual post
