Blurr's Spotlight was actually the very first Transformers comic I ever read. I remember looking at the first pages and being like, holy shit, dude why are you so ugly?? Ahahjcmgmg

SO actually go check out @paintedkinzy-88 she has some absolutely beautiful work and i’m so obsessed with her COI au. and I did (kinda?) my own interpretation off of her reference (it was because I drew the sketch and lineart w/o the reference on a plane, so if he has 4 talons, no he doesn’t why are you looking that hard) but yeah its in my old style back when i used to draw an absolute junk ton of dragons in my WOF phase. i love when people point out the 'family is hell' theme in spn and then go like 'do not romanticise this!!! this post is not for you' as if spn itself didn’t end up with the family is hell brothers being soulmates happily meeting up in heaven after 15 seasons of dark romance tropes thrown upon them.

no one romanticizes 'family is hell' more than supernatural itself.

#not even starting on how they washed john of his sins as well #im watching the vampire diaries s7/8 rn and i kinda forgot how dark and twisted the cw's idea of love is #this wasn’t only a spn thing it was the same romanticized dark tropes in all these series every day of the week #and it treated sam and dean the same way as it did delena. you would get the same tropes whether it was abt family or lovers or whatever #and never not once did they say: this is wrong irl and you should be disgusted :/#it was always presented as romantic #and why wouldn’t it be #it was the age of twilight and 50 shades romance and the morality police of today were still in pre school #no one except for extremely religious conservatives held this up to real life values bc it was just a tv show meant to entertain
