I am so beyond happy that Kristen is messy as hell. I'm glad that jealousy overtakes her after a breakup. I'm glad she is procrastinating and completely lost when it comes to reviving/creating a religion, and that the weight of responsibility is freaking her out so much she is ruining her relationship with her goddess. I'm glad Ally made her fall behind in school simply because needing to do it is overwhelming. I love that she bitterly snaps at people who annoy her.
she's a character that in every step and decision is reminiscent of a teenager you might actually meet. the heart is there, the flaws are there. she feels so tangible. I love her, so so much.

#husbandothings#diary of a chav is so full of very specifically 2007 things that its actually a hilarious read in an unintentional way#combined with teen girl style prose that reminds me of a readable version of my immortal#she mentioned dropping heavy hints on wanting an iPod by highlighting it in the argos catalogue and i aged by 5000 years#combined with mentions of asbos and hoodies and using the television guide to plan you Christmas viewing...oh god#i definitely wouldnt have like this series growing up as i was more a princess diaries type but my god is it already fascinating#and i had my issues with princess diaries but Meg Cabot was the only one of that genre i could stand to read for some reason#she had this other series that was like a ghost whisperer knockoff and i read every volume i could get my hands on#i also loved maximum ride and artemis fowl and the diamond brothers books by Anthony horowitz#and later on stephen king#basically i was basic in a different shade#booklr#i feel like i can only read this in small doses though because jumping from classic lit to this#oh god my brain is melting#the run-on sentences work great stylistically too but theyre a lot
