Things were… never boring here in the fog, that was for sure. Though it gave a pleasant break from the monotony of their trial-based routine, he wasn’t sure what to make of the eerily familiar blonde he could spot lingering around the campfire once he’d returned. Not exactly a surprise he was expecting nor one he was sure he’d wanted . . .

Brows knit together tight, his unease made apparent through the way his shoulders remain tensed & stiff as he folds his arms over his chest, stopping just along the outskirts as he tried to figure out how best to approach the other. Try to reason if he even should. Reaching up to rub at his eyes, a soft grumble leaves him as his mind comes up helpfully blank.

It isn’t until he lowers his hand to peer back in the fires direction that he freezes, going more stiff at the sight of the other staring back. Well shit, there went his . . . Piss-poor plan.

The feeling of unbridled terror was one Albert had thought he had finally rid himself of. Years of cradling empty bottles hoping the memories would have been long drowned within them resurfaced like a ball underwater. Fear strained his muscles into a fighting stance, eyes wild and focused completely on the man that looked like his nightmares reanimated. His throat was dry, his ears were ringing and he saw nothing but Chris Redfield in front of him.

Chris on the other hand would recognize the BSAA uniform on Albert, it was a perfect fit on the male's form as if he was made for it. The emblem showing perfectly on the forearm of his raised fists, the panic and fear in the male's eyes clear as day. Albert wanted nothing but to run away seeing as he had no weapons or means to defend himself, but he had people he needed to protect and so his body acted where his mind could not, remaining in a fighting stance with a doe-eyed look.

Finally, he hissed out, like damning a demon, "Redfield...You really are alive..."

hey instead of bullying or scaring you into switching to firefox, let me tell you why i LOVE firefox and how my online life has improved significantly since installing it

- the setup process is easy, and even fun! if you’re using tumblr rn, you can handle it, and if you’re the kind of tumblr user who likes customizing your blog or tinkering with xkit, you can have a lot of fun personalizing really granular settings and picking themes and extensions and everything, it’s very customizable and i happily spent like 2 hours getting everything perfect.

- you can use a command line entry tool to change specific settings right from the search bar! i did this to make firefox stop auto filling my email information since i use a different password locker (which you should too! try bitwarden!), and it was easier than digging through a bunch of submenus for a setting i wasn’t sure existed. you can just turn shit off!

- there’s a preset theme called aurora that’s purple and VERY pretty

- once you get ublock origin and as many other blockers as you’d like set up, no ads, anywhere, ever! streaming sites, youtube, all the basics, totally no stress and no compatibility issues for me

- in browser screenshot and picture in picture functions!! holy shit i use these every day, the PiP is especially helpful, it replaced an extension i used to use on chrome and it’s leagues better and works on all video content pretty much

- overall better downloads management imo, it’s a lot easier to get to your downloads and find them later

- better bookmark system, with the ability to organize your bookmarks with searchable tags and assign them a shortcut you can type into the search bar to go to

- containers! you can have two accounts to the same website open in two different tabs and switch between them without having to switch accounts. also gives firefox the ability to contain facebook and their trackers, so you can click that party invite link without feeling like you just let mark zuckerberg into your house

these were just off the top of my head, i love firefox a lot and actively enjoy using it, which i never felt with chrome! please download firefox!! you will not regret it!!! where’s your fucking rage!!!!!! go!!!!!!!!!

Gale being the first istik that bothers to ask Lae’zel a single question about her background.

Lae’zel watching Gale cook and him thinking it’s because she’s curious about faerunian cooking, so he tells her everything about his family recipes, herb combinations, and regional cooking styles (she’s trying to ensure he doesn’t poison them)

Gale picking up on some of her speech patterns and telling her it reminds him of a poem, which he recites to her. She later learns it from him, saying it reminds her of home in its form.

Lae’zel learning his battle weaknesses (he is untested in the field, after all) and adjusting her battle plans to cover him. He is useful, after all.

Gale nervously telling her first about the artefact, thinking she will be the most honest, and being so surprised when she is… but comes up on the side of him having so much worth.

(And being unable to stop thinking of her saying she’ll fatten him up on artefacts…)

Lae’zel being SO furious at Mystra for telling Gale he must sacrifice himself, and not knowing what to do with the feeling, so she trains and trains until she is a sweaty and exhausted mess…

… while Gale, with the newly stilled orb, is absolutely paralysed with lust watching her glisten with sweat and power, and can’t think about anything else.

Holy shit

Like, please understand me. This is how I already interpreted these relationships after reading Journal 3 but like

Wow Ford really was in a weird kinda complicated gay situationship with Bill and Fiddleford, huh? When he's all alone on Christmas in tbob he's all like "Oh yeah haha of course...of course. You have. Yeah. You have a wife, F. How could I expect you not to leave. I am totally not secretly hoping you'll turn around and come back to me, or that you'll even bring your family back here if you have to so I can see you. I'd retreat to my dreams but I haven't seen my muse in weeks and I miss him so badly. I'm so alone"

He and Fiddleford aren't even dating but it's hard not to get the light impression that this situationship is such that Ford kinda treats Bill like his comfort triangle from his head and dreams and Fiddleford like his comfort best friend in his lab. Like he's sad on Christmas that his boyfriends left him alone, you know? Of course it's definitely more complicated than just that, but they are dear companions to him

Or when Bill finally comes back and Ford is pissed

"You return now? After all of that, after me missing you so badly, almost dying, wondering if I'd dreamed it all up. You return now like it was no biggie? Did you ever mean the things you said? Did you not find some other scientist or some other big brain to talk up? Have you found someone else? Another partner?"

And then Bill, dodging the question was like "Funny you think I'm cheating on you as if you haven't been spending all that time with F. The side bitch. The third wheel. You've even considered telling him everything, even though you know he has second thoughts. Heh. A little birdie told me he dreams of shutting down the project even."

Leading Ford to be like "Aw hell how could I accuse my muse of such a terrible thing when I haven't been a saint. He's right! F has been much less motivated lately and I've just gotten so paranoid from the isolation. I'm so sorry for my baseless accusations."

I don't even have a lot to say I just love these three. Fiddleford put up with a lot of shit from Ford while also dealing with his own problems and trying to help him regardless, while Stanford saw him as a comfort and a good friend but ultimately someone who was of lesser mind than he and couldn't see things through his eyes, while Bill was in Stanford's corner actively making him worse and contributing to his isolation (trying to get him to drop Fiddleford and actively feeding his paranoia), while Stanford was seeing both relationships of his with stars in his eyes and rose tinted glasses because he refused to do some introspection

There's so much stuff that journal 3 and tbob added to the equation that's just bad/shitty all around. Can't believe Ford went through a double divorce/breakup despite not having ever been married (or, at least, despite not even officially dating them sorta)

The entire situation in the past is just tragic and hilarious and concerning all at once and that's what I like the portal trio for tbh
