This is legit one of the reasons I love them so much and identify with Aziraphale like I haven't with any entity before. Being agender (or in my case genderagnostic) can be such a wild ride. Yes sure, I present as one gender, mostly cause I don't care and it's easiest and certain clothing just fits this body better. But sometimes someone will say something about my displayed gender and I'll look down and think "oh, yeah, right. I see why you'd think that, sure, whatever".
It took me a long while to recognize my actual gender (or lack thereof) and (again identifying with my angel) the thing that helped a lot was watching Crowley trying on and rotating all the genders. I first considered myself fluid, probably because I knew more about that label than my own, but realized that wasn't quite right by watching Crowley slip in and out of whatever gender he/they/she (I'd even argue "none" as Bee!Crowley) fancied that day was a revelation.
I had to read/learn about gender dysphoria because I, lucky bastard that I am, had never experienced that apart from being told "oh, but you ARE ..." and that not resonating at all, but not being at all bothered enough to correct the person.
This was a very long and serious post prompted by a silly Good Omens meme, which totally tracks 💛
If you're like me and struggling to find the word that describes you, feel free to try mine on and see if it fits.

Always the bridesmaid never the bride
I'm not going to lie. I forgot if this was a prompt or a response to something I posted since I got it back before Thanksgiving. But if it's the former then:
Danny says this to Bruce at Clark and Lois' wedding. He is convinced Bruce is in love- or in lust, at the least- with Clark because the wealthy man constantly popped up at their office for important "business" and "private exclusive" interviews.
Now, Danny won't lie and say he's a better journalist than Clark or Lois- those two are the top two of the Daily Planet. There is a reason almost all Superman stories are covered by them- but he's darn good himself. After retiring from protecting his town from Ghosts, he's only ever used his powers scarcely, but they have helped him with a few articles here or there.
His career as a reporting journalist was mainly made by his ability to stumble across trouble alone! Danny had won awards for his articles. He has been included in a city time capsule project.
Danny got the scoop on Jason Todd being alive story way before everyone else. After realizing the boy was in witness protection, he hadn't even exposed it without speaking to Mr.Wayne first. The man was nothing like the tabloids had one believe. Danny found him a severely intelligent man with a deep love for his family and city. He just distracted people with his razzle and dazzle, hiding his beautiful soul in plain sight.
It had been an eye-opening conversation. The duo made a deal to wait until Jason was safe to be announced; Danny waited three whole months before he was greenlighted to release his story. Jason Todd had officially "returned" from the dead with an exclusive interview with Danny Fenton.
Danny honored and protected his dignity by writing a story that made the public love the returned young man. He hated reporters who only dragged people's names through the mud because that wasn't real investigation; that was just accepting the latest gossip on the streets.
Bruce was so grateful that Danny hadn't put his son in danger that he even gave Danny a business card that went to his home office!
And yeah, okay, Clark had Bruce's personal cellphone, but Danny just couldn't understand why the billionaire was so hung up on Clark Kent. It wasn't like the guy was Superman!
And maybe he was overly happy to find out Clark and Lois were an item. Sure that someone as good as Bruce, for all his facade of being a party boy who never grew up, would never chase a taken man. Danny had been right, too, because Bruce Wayne appeared less and less around the Daily Plant office.
It was.....sad not to see him, but Danny was a very busy journalist. He was grateful that the distraction had finally taken the hint and scurried off somewhere. What irked him in the following year and a half of Clark and Lois dating was how often Perry signed the two to cover Gotham News.
Mostly at one of Bruce Wayne's extravagant parties! Yeah, it was sort of cool that most of Bruce's parties were charity events. He had checked the numbers himself, finding that Bruce's efforts were honest and working to better his city. How many billionaires actually kept their word when wanting to be a philanthropist?
Of course, Danny had to write a piece on it. The people needed to see the positive change Bruce was making. Sometimes, it felt like people forgot how much he gave to the city. The article went viral, and people on the other side of the world were praising the good man Bruce.
Perry had given Danny a raise for it.
Clark had ruined that significant mark on his record by placing a wrap present on his desk with a wide grin. Apparently, the two had gone on a yacht trip together without Lois or Bruce's significant other. Whoever that was. "Bruce wanted me to give you this as a thanks."
Ugh, the smug asshole was just rubbing it in Danny's face that he was still friends with his ex. The present had been a shitty ship in a bottle that Danny had placed beside his writing awards in his living room. You know it would be a waste to just throw it out.
Or let it get dusty. Or not stare at and wonder if Bruce knew he liked pirate movies, so the fact he had a model replica of Captain Jack Sparrow's Black Pearl made for Danny was really no big deal.
Then Bruce came by the office after buying out the Daily Planet, giving Clark a month's vacation paid due to some "family emergency."
Danny had been worried about Ma Kent and Pa Kent- the pair had visited the Daily Planet and were the nicest people to ever walk the planet- so like the well-mannered man his mother raised, he had gone to the farm with some of his Dad's famous fudge. Only to find the Kents unaware there was an emergency in the family until Danny reminded them.
He had been a journalist long enough to call bull on their meaningful glances. Danny knew that neither Bruce nor Clark would dare cheat on Lois. They were both too good for something as sleazy as that- and honestly, Lois would kill them- but that didn't stop Bruce from obviously still carrying around a torch for Clark.
Which meant he gave him unfairly favorable treatment in the workplace. Ugh! Perry didn't even seem to care, stating that Bruce had signed their paychecks, and as long as he wasn't forcing Clark into anything harassment-worthy, Danny just had to deal with his coworkers having friends in high places.
That meant they got away with different things. He just had to suck it up and accept it.
But now, Clark and Lois tied the knot. Bruce had to back off. He would never overstep a friend's relationship like this. Danny might have seen him sneak a few glances at the dancing couple- not that he was staring at Bruce Wayne! But the man was one of the hottest topics to write about, and he never knew when a good story would pop up.
It was rather sad, really. How Bruce forced himself to come to a celebration of the man he loved marrying and choosing someone else. Danny had dedicated a drink to his heartbreak- from clear across the room.
He wasn't on a personal cellphone number basis with Bruce Wayne, let's allow a "Drink your broken heart sorrow away with me" basis. And maybe Danny had a few too many. Perhaps he lost count after realizing it was an open bar because, surprise surprise, Bruce was footing the drink bill for all guests.
Danny doesn't remember what made him think he could cross the room to Bruce or why he found the courage to point a finger in his face before slurring, "Always the bridesmaid, never the bride, eh Brucie?"
He does remember those piecing blue eyes locking him in place, brow folding in concern as Bruce replied. "Mr. Fenton, are you alright?"
"Me? Oh yeah! Just enjoying the party." He throws his arm up, spilling some of the alcohol out of the cup. He doesn't mind since the DJ starts to play one of his favorite songs, and he just has to sway to the beat. "This is a fun party. Are you having fun? I'm having fun!"
"I think you've had a little too much," Bruce says, helping Danny to his feet. When did he fall? Oh, right, when he was dancing. He laughs again, curling up on Bruce's chest. He feels it shift with the vibrations of the other man's voice. It's rather nice. "Did you come alone? Is there someone I can call for you?"
"Can I tell you a secret, Brucie?" Danny mutters, leaning forward to whisper into the man's ear before he can respond. "I live alone. I have no one to take care of me. I can't even drive."
"I see. I can have my driver take you home then. Can I see your wallet? I want to read the address-"
Danny has a second to think Oh no before his stomach lurches, and vomit falls out of his mouth all over Bruce Wayne's fancy suit that probably costs more than his house. Danny's eyes water. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I don't usually drink, and I feel terrible, and I-"
"It's alright. " Bruce says, smile still perfectly kind, understanding, and slightly dizzy. Danny knows he's lying, though- his reporter eyes can see right through that facade. He's pissed that Danny threw up on him. Understandably.
He starts sobbing, apologizing even more, and pointing out how he knows Bruce is actually upset.
Bruce looks mildly surprised before throwing one of his arms over his shoulder and helping him out of the hotel ballroom. The reception had started hours ago, and despite it not being anywhere near over, no one would bat an eye at them leaving early.
They were walking down the hallway. Danny found himself leaning on a counter, laughing into his hands about a potted plant, while Bruce chatted up the lady at a computer. He told the pair that Bruce should rebound with a man instead of a woman if he wanted to get over Clark but was ignored by them.
Rude.
Then suddenly, Danny was being pressed into a soft mattress on his back while someone was taking off his shoes and losing his tie. When did he get home? How had he moved that quickly?
This didn't feel like his pillow. Danny has a special one. He can't sleep with it. He packs his pillow when he travels, even if it's just one night he plans to stay. Danny has used the same pillow for years now.
"I'm sorry, I can't get your special pillow, but I can give you lots of water." A man says, making Danny blink and open his eyes. His eyelids feel so heavy that it takes him a moment to stay open.
Above him, Bruce is carefully unbuttoning his suit jacket. The billionaire had removed his own coat, but the vomit-covered white shirt remains. Danny feels ashamed at the sight even as Bruce pulls his arms out of the jacket sleeves.
"Sorry," He whimpers. "About the vomit."
"It's alright. You needed to throw up. Do you feel better?"
Danny nods, closing his eyes and feeling a warm towel run along his face. He sighed as the sticky, gross feeling around his mouth was gone, and he sank further into the Not Right But Comfty pillow.
"Sleep well, Mr. Fenton," Bruce says, tucking the blankets around Danny once he finishes cleaning him up. Danny hums, already half gone, when he whispers.
"You're a good man. No matter what you present to the world. No matter if you believe you're not, I know you're good."
There is a moment of silence before Bruce replies. "I paid for the hotel room. It comes with a free breakfast, so when you're feeling up to it, come down for food tomorrow. Have a good night, Mr. Fenton."
"Stay?"
"I'm sorry. I never intended to stay; I just wanted to get you somewhere safe. Going home in your state would have been a bad idea."
Danny's words are nearly too slurried to be understood as he slowly slips away: "Always the bridesmaid, never the bride, Fenton. Bruce would never want you."
He wakes up with a killer hangover, confused about where the hell he is, and almost has a heart attack when he realizes he crumpled up the suit pants he rented. All that is so hard to process in thirty seconds that he nearly missed the written note on the nightstand.

A Little Misunderstanding
Pairing: Quinn Hughes x Fem!Reader
Warnings: Lil' angsty at points, but ends sweet, lots of mutual pining and two idiots not realising the other is also in love with the other, meddling mothers (for the best this time)
Summary: Your parents assume that Quinn, the man you mention over the phone all the time, is in fact your boyfriend. He's very much not, but Quinn thinks its funny to pretend he is...until it gets a little too real and maybe some truths are told and feelings are aired.
Notes: Thank you to the anon who requested fake dating to lovers with Quinn, I had this idea which is a little different from the usual fake dating so I hope its okay and you still like it 😊
Tried to keep it ambiguous as to where the reader originated from so that us UK girlies can relate as well as anyone else not from Vancouver and/or Canada.
Reminder I typically use UK spellings because I'm English so...don't come at me if you wish I spelt it the US away. If I have to read US spellings all the time, you can handle the odd UK spelling
Totally happy to take requests/ideas/prompts at the moment in my ask box :)
Writing Masterlist
"When does your flight get in?" You balance your phone between your shoulder and ear, picking up a stray sock that had fallen out of your laundry basket as you attempt to tidy your apartment.
"7am your time, sweetheart, remember?" Your mother's voice rings clear down the line, familiar and warm. It's been a while since you saw either of your parents. You having moved all the way to Vancouver, more miles than you could count from your birthplace and hometown around two years ago. You were excited to have them finally able to come out and stay with you for a week, they'd never been to see you, and it had been a while since you'd been able to see your parents, not having time to fly to see them. While you were glad for the move to Vancouver, living in a completely different place away from your family wasn't always the easiest thing in the world. You so often felt like you were having to fend for yourself without much of a support network. Luckily you'd made some good friends in the time you'd been in Van.
"Quinn offered to come with me to pick you and dad up, we'll be there waiting for you so don't worry about getting an Uber." You dropped Quinn's name casually because that's what it was, he was just another part of your existence. Your friend, who admittedly you had a small crush on, but just your friend nonetheless. Just because you thought he was beautiful and wanted to kiss him didn't mean you were allowed to kiss him or that he'd even want to kiss you. He was a friend who happened to be a man and you both happened to be single. This had not changed for two years and wasn't likely to any time soon.
"Oh, Quinn'll be there?" Your mother's voice was suddenly more upbeat, excited. She'd been eager to meet Quinn for months now, you're not sure why she finally took an interest in one of your friends but you can't help but be glad. Quinn had become a massive part of your life, a support network you very much needed when you'd first come to a strange new place all by yourself. He was part of the fabric of your life now, and you knew he'd charm your parents without even thinking about it. It shouldn't matter to you that your parents like your friend, its not like Quinn was your boyfriend, but it did matter to you. You wanted them to like him as much as you did because you wanted him around for the foreseeable future.
"Yeah, I mentioned you were coming to visit the other day and his car is bigger than mine, so he offered to come along, he has to get up early most days anyway so he's not too bothered by it." It helped that Quinn had a couple of days off, but still you were thankful. He could have spent his rare enough free time doing something much more enjoyable than helping you pick your parents up from the airport.
"Your father and I look forward to meeting him, we've heard so much about him, darling!"
There's something about your mother's tone that makes you stop for a second suddenly feeling a little awkward about the whole thing. Maybe it's just how eager she is or maybe it's something else, but there's a little red flag waving in the back of your mind with some small print on that you just can't quite read yet.
"Right...um, look I'll see you tomorrow morning then? I gotta get everything ready for you guys."
"Of course, of course! We love you!"
"Love you too, mum."
"You're sure you don't mind?" You look over at Quinn from the passenger seat, the two of you look exhausted, big bags under your eyes and even bigger hoodies to hide in because a 5am wake up to get to the airport in time was just a little much for both of you. This early in the morning it's still dark and the streetlights do something to Quinn's face that makes him even more handsome than usual, even as he looks like he might fall back asleep at any minute. It doesn't help that his scruff has grown out or that his hair is in those perfect waves he always seems to get even when he's just taken his bucket off.
"I wouldn't have offered if I did, besides the amount of time we spend together isn't it about time I met your parents? You've met mine." He smiles over at you, cheeky, the sort of Quinn most people didn't see. It's silly that it makes your cheeks feel warm, he's just your friend. You shouldn't be flustered by him.
"Your parents are at as many of your games as possible, of course I've met them."
"So are you. Sue me for wanting to meet the parents of one of my best friends."
"I'm your best friend?" You lean your head back on the headrest, tilting slightly to grin at him all silly. Quinn can see it from the corner of his eye and as much as it's ridiculous, that little grin makes you even more beautiful than normal.
"One of." He rolls his eyes at you, partly because of your silliness and partly rolling his eyes at himself. You're his friend. He shouldn't feel this way about you, men can have female friends...he just can't seem to have you as a female friend without wanting to kiss you at any given opportunity. It's becoming difficult, even more so in the early morning when the low light level puts your face in stark contrast and your hoodie, one of his, makes you look so cozy and sweet.
"That's just your way of avoiding admitting how much you love me and need me in your life."
Quinn's cheeks flush bright red, so bright that even the low light can't hide it nor hide the way he bites back a smile at you, eyes fixed on the road and the last few miles to the airport.
"...Shut up."
The silence that fills the car is comfortable, the sort that comes about from spending so much time together. You have friends that aren't Quinn, of course you do, but Quinn had been your first friend in Vancouver. He'd shown you around and made time for you in his incredibly busy schedule. You were often the first person he saw when he came off a roadie and the last person to see him before he left for one. There were nights when you stayed round Quinn's after a game or vice versa. You spent so much time together that you simply coexisted, being around Quinn was as easy as breathing. You rarely argued or disagreed and when you did it was always resolved properly. You simply worked. There wasn't ever much to think about with Quinn. You could just...shut off.
"Thank you, though...seriously." You take a moment, thinking how to word your next few thoughts, your warning as the signs for the airport come into full view, "Just, my mum seems really eager to meet you so...just brace yourself."
"Eager?"
"You know when your parents are excited to meet a new partner?" You think back to the few times you'd introduced a boyfriend to your mum, the excitement that she exuded...it was starting to concern you that she was that excited to just meet your friend. Because that's all Quinn was. Your friend. Not your boyfriend. Your friend, you remind yourself, even as he looks so good smiling over at you with his beard. He'd let it grow out just enough that he looked rugged and mature.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah, she's that sort of excited which is really weird...she normally doesn't' care that much about my friends. Just, sorry, if she's really weird about it?" It's awkward enough talking about, you and Quinn have always stayed firmly platonic, you didn't talk about the fact that people assumed you were dating or even the concept of it. Talking about it felt...it felt like you were opening the curtains up, letting him see in a little too far.
"You didn't tell her we were married or something, did you?"
"Quinn! Shut up!" He laughs so loud that you can't actually be that mad at him, not when he's grinning at you like that, not when he's been so stressed as of late about the performance of his team. Even if it's at your expense.
"What? Just checking! For all I know you could have told her we got married in Vegas during one of my games or something?"
"If I'm telling my mum I'm married to you, it'll be because I'm actually married to you, you idiot." You roll your eyes at him, arms crossing over your chest as you turn to look out the window.
"Oh, so you do want to marry me?" He's joking, but he's not...he's thought about it. There's not a day that Quinn hasn't thought about what it would be like to be yours and you be his, not since he met you...and then promptly managed to land himself so far into the friendzone that he was scared to crawl his way out lest he leave you behind in the process.
"...I hate you."
"No you don't." His voice is singsong in intonation and sweet and he's right because you love him and it hurts...god, it hurts how much you love someone you can't have. Someone you see every day, someone who is so deeply ingrained in your life that removing him would be like carving a hole into your own chest.
You just sit and glare at him, even as a heavy sort of sadness hits, as he pulls up into one of the parking bays for collecting passengers.
It's okay that he's just your friend, you remind yourself as you get out of the car. It's okay because he's the best friend you could ask for, he's here at 6.45 am in the morning to collect your parents from the airport, not because he was asked or because he had to, but because he wanted to. You can live with loving him in silence, so long as you always have him around.
"I think they're over this way, probably, near gate 1?" You're just getting your bearings, trying to figure out roughly where your parents will come out at after they find their things from baggage claim when you hear it.
"My baby!" The squeal of a middle aged woman who hasn't seen her daughter in far too long pierces the air. You barely have time to brace yourself for impact before your mother is wrapping you up in a gigantic hug and pressing as many kisses to your face as possible, you know without a doubt her signature mauve lipstick is smudged all across your skin.
Your father stands behind her, rolling his eyes in amusement but the smile he gives you is no less warm, "Hey there, princess."
"Hi, mum, hi, dad," You pull yourself free from your mother just long enough to get a long awaited hug from your father, big and warm and so familiar that you almost feel like crying. How long has it been since you last hugged your dad? Half a year? Nine months? Longer? You sometimes don't realise how much you miss something until you get it back.
When you turn back around your mother is already pulling Quinn into a hug that he accepts, if a tad awkwardly, his hands patting her on the back like he's not quite sure how hugs work.
She has his face in her hands before you can intervene, overly familiar and friendly as she grins up at him like he's made her day just by existing. "You must be Quinn, Y/N's boyfriend..."
"Oh, he's n-" You're pretty sure your eyes bug out of your head, startled by the suggestion because at no point in the last few years of living in Vancouver had you ever called Quinn your boyfriend. Ever.
You're cut off by Quinn who's grinning at you wickedly over the top of your mother's head like he's just been giving the greatest Christmas present he could ever ask for and in that moment you know...you know that he is going to make your life very difficult with this tiny piece of information.
"Yeah, hi, nice to meet, the boyfriend, that's me." God, he wishes it was true. There's nothing more he wants in that moment than to be able to say to your mom that you are 100% his girlfriend, but he can't...he can, however, enjoy the roleplaying while it lasts. He can't really stop himself, not when you look so aghast at your mother calling him your boyfriend, not when he can use this to tease you for at least the next 30 years. He grew up with 2 brothers, sue him for taking advantage of the situation.
"Quinn!"
"What? Am I not allowed to call myself your boyfriend anymore?" He sidles up to you, slipping out from your mother's grip to pull you into his side. His arm rests naturally over your shoulder, yours finding his waist, and it is natural...because you've done this a million times before. The kiss he presses to your hair is new though, different and as much as your mum clearly believes the ruse, you can see your father just looks amused. Something tells you he knows this is all an act, but he finds it enjoyable to watch. Typical. No support from him when you need it most. Dads.
"Oh, she's just grouchy in the mornings, has been ever since she was a baby!" Your mother looks at the two of you with such pride that you're certain her heart actually might break when she finds out Quinn isn't actually your boyfriend. You've never seen her look so happy with your choice in a man before and you're certain she won't be able to cope when you have to inevitably tell her that it was either a) a lie or b) that Quinn just wasn't the guy for you (another lie just to make your life more complicated).
"Mum!"
"Oh don't worry, I know just how grouchy my baby can be in the mornings." This time he presses a kiss to your cheek and when he does, you hiss lowly in his ear, 'I'm going to kill you.' and Quinn can't help but laugh at you, biting his lip at how much fun he's having riling you up.
"Here let me take your bags, Mrs Y/L/N," Quinn's bending down before your mother can even begin to protest, her carry on backpack being slung over his shoulder and pulling up the handle of her suitcase to wheel it behind him.
"Oh, you don't have to, Quinn!"
"I insist." He knows he's making it harder on you, can see the look you give him because he's just going to make your mother fall in love with him. But, even as he enjoys riling you up, he was also raised right and he's not letting your mother carry her own bags.
Your mother hangs back with you while your father and Quinn start walking ahead with the suitcases. She slips her arm through yours walking with you to keep up, as she does so she does a very bad attempt at whispering. The sort of whispering that means you know Quinn can hear every word and is probably enjoying it immensely.
"He's such a gentleman..."
"Yeah, a real gentleman." You mutter sarcastically, watching the way his shoulders rise and fall in a silent laugh that he's no doubt doing his best to swallow down.
"Don't be grumpy, he's just being sweet on you. You should be glad for such a loving boyfriend..." Your mother scolds you before raising her voice back to normal, Quinn and your father slowing down slightly to help keep the four of you together, "So, Quinn, my daughter tells me you're a hockey player?"
"Yeah, you talk about me, baby?" Quinn's grin is wide, and you can't help the warmth that fills your entire face because you can't actually deny it. You talk about Quinn all the time, he's your best friend and whenever your mother phones, you inevitably talk about him. Whether it was a game of his you went to or a coffee place you'd visited together or gala he'd invited you to. Maybe, you talked about him too much? Maybe, it was obvious in the way you talked about him that you loved him? Maybe that's why your mother had made such a large assumption about your relationship status. Maybe this was your fault, why wouldn't she assume you were dating?
"She talks about you all the time. Quinn this, Quinn that...did you know that Quinn did this today and broke this record?"
"Mum..." You groan out, looking to your dad for help but all he does is shrug his shoulders at you, amusement bright in his eyes. Even if he could do something you know he wouldn't because he's clearly enjoying your torture.
Quinn can't help it, the tables seem to reverse. You're embarrassed still, but now he is too, bright red in the face, ears flushed the colour of a fire engine and a hand rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. All because you talk about him to your parents...you talk about him when he's not around...he feels like a twelve year old, giddy because his crush smiled at him for the first time.
"I play for the NHL."
"Vancouver Canucks, wasn't it?" Your mother asks as the four of you step out into the cold Canadian air, her attention making Quinn squirm and you smile, enjoying the discomfort being swapped around for a moment.
"Yeah, I'm the captain of the team." He smiles at your mother awkwardly as he opens the boot of the car and starts to pile in the suitcases, organising them in just the right way that they fit without hassle.
Your father chimes in as he lifts his own suitcase into the back, Quinn helping him shove it back further, "That's impressive, I used to play field hockey myself, never got out of the amateur league but got a few bruises in my time. You had an injury recently right?"
You still remember phoning your mum to talk about it, at first worried and then over time growing more and more frustrated with how sullen Quinn was being. He'd grown restless from not being able to play hockey and you'd been his distraction, a distraction that had grown fed up with his moping no matter how much you loved him.
"I've had a few this year, most recently my hand." He raises his braced hand, the brace a point of annoyance to him at this point in time. He was itching to be done with it, but put up with it because it meant he could still play hockey at the moment.
"Oh, you shouldn't have been carrying my bag then, Quinn!" Your mother fusses over him, flapping about as if she might have a miracle cure for his hand injury.
"Honestly, it's fine! It looks worse than it is, I promise. I wouldn't get away with it otherwise, this one would kill me." He nods his head at you as he closes the boot, opening one of the backdoors for your mother to slide inside.
"Damn right I'd kill you, I cannot take more days of you moping that you can't play hockey and that you're bored despite my amazing company."
"You know I enjoyed spending time with you, sweetheart...but..."
"But, you can't live without hockey, yeah, I know..."
He follows you round to the passenger side door, opening it for you like a gentleman and letting you slide inside. You find yourself enjoying the attention even as you catch your mother's eye in the rear view mirror, a little smirk reaching her lips as she watches Quinn buckle you in. Something he does from time to time when he's feeling particularly sweet...because he was a good friend.
"So, Quinn, how did you meet our daughter? I'm not sure she ever mentioned it?"
The entire ride home is filled with your mother peppering Quinn with questions, encouraging him to talk more and more about your 'relationship'. Everything from when you first met to the first date you went on (which Quinn told her was the first time he took you ice skating, you were under the impression that that was a friendly family skate event and most certainly not a date).
The conversation lulls while you set your parents up in your spare bedroom, helping them settle themselves and showing them around your apartment. They hadn't ever seen it in person and they spent half the time cooing over your choices, the photos of family and friends on the wall, the ones of you and Quinn, as well as your mother checking your fridge and telling you to buy more vegetables.
It's as you're sitting down to a breakfast of pre-bought croissants and pain au chocolat that your mother restarts her question. This time even more invasive than the first.
"So Quinn, when did you know?"
"Mm? Know what?" Your best friend looks at your mother with furrowed brows, taking a sip of his orange juice and almost choking on it when she proceeds to clarify her question.
"When you loved my daughter."
There's a long beat of silence where your eyes stay fixated on your plate, watching your own hands intently as you spread Nutella inside your croissant, far too focused on that to be anything casual or calm. You're certain you're going to be sick because he doesn't love you but you love him and your poor mother is so oblivious and this...this is going too far, it feels like it's gone too far.
"Expected answer or honest answer?"
"Honest answer."
"The second week I knew her." Your head snaps up with a start only to find Quinn looking directly at you, green eyes crinkling softly at the corners. "She heard that I had been hurt on the ice the night before and she stormed round my apartment with a bunch of food, medicine and a blanket. Spent the whole day looking after me and making me watch 90s movies I hadn't watched growing up. No one outside my family had ever done that for me before...it made me realise that if I wasn't already in love, I would be pretty quick." You almost believe him, the way he looks at you, the way he speaks so softly. Almost.
You look down at your plate, tears welling in your eyes because you know he doesn't mean it. He's spinning a yarn for your mother and it hurts that he would go that far when you both know this is all some ruse he's decided to pull. You swallow hard and take a bite of your croissant, refusing to look at him for the rest of breakfast.
You won't meet his eyes until he goes to leave after breakfast, your parents hanging back so you can say goodbye to your 'boyfriend'.
"Mind if I come over after dinner? We could watch a movie with your parents?"
"Quinn..." You go to challenge him on his behaviour today, but the words won't come out.
"What?"
"Nothing...uh, sure, after dinner?"
"After dinner, baby."
You want to tell him off as he says it, as he presses a kiss to your cheek so your parents can see because you aren't his baby and he's hurting you. He's hurting you without realising it because you so desperately want to be his baby. But, you don't. You just watch him walk away down the corridor of your apartment building and out of sight before getting ready to show your parents around Vancouver for the day.
You try to put the whole thing out of your mind throughout the day, showing your parents the sights of Vancouver, including the arena...but it's hard when they keep bringing Quinn back up and asking about your feelings. They probe you for half the day and it's emotionally exhausting balancing the truth with the half-truth, even more so knowing that they're going to be just as disappointed as you are when they realise your relationship with Quinn is just a sham, a charade, a fake.
Eventually they seem to grow bored of talking about the topic, however, and dinner goes relatively smoothly, you taking them to a nice restaurant Quinn had shown you back in your first couple of months in Vancouver. Even that feels bittersweet though, filled with memories of the two of you dining together. You can't help but feel like the whole issue needs addressing as you get them back home and pop a film on ready for Quinn's arrival.
When he arrives he continues the act as if it isn't one, greeting you at the door with a kiss to the cheek and pulling you down onto the loveseat opposite your parents, curling one arm around your shoulders and urging you to lay against him, your cheek pressed into his chest. In some ways it's familiar, not an act, because you cuddle for movies all time, completely platonically of course, but both of you are touchy feely and it's always been part of your dynamic. In others though? The way he talks to you, the pet names, kisses to your hair, that is all new, all a way to show your parents he's the 'doting boyfriend', even though he's not your boyfriend at all.
Your parents lap it up, every now and then you catch them smiling at each other and then over to the two of you and you can't help but feel heavy with it. With this feeling of unrequited affection. You love Quinn, you've known that for a while now, but it was easy to be around him because you didn't need to address it. You could love him in silence and from afar...you had never considered how hard it would become when what you wanted most was being dangled in front of you like a carrot on a string.
Quinn has a similar dilemma going on in his own head. He's always known he loved you more than a friend, even when you barely knew each other...had he been braver he would have asked for your number for a date that first day, not so that he could show you around a new city as a 'friend'. But, he'd been a coward and since then he'd continued to be. He enjoyed every ounce of affection he got from you, every hug, every cuddle, ever time you held his arm at an event, all while feeling like that had to be enough...now he's had more? He's not sure it'll ever be enough, he's greedy for you. Greedy for your affection, your attention, greedy in the way he wants to keep kissing you, keeping calling you sweet names and greedy for the way you grow bashful. Greedy for more than just being your friend...he's given himself a taste of what life could be like and now he can't forget it.
It's halfway through the movie, your legs slung over Quinn's lap and his fingers carding through the ends of your hair when your parents stand with a groan from the other couch.
"Princess?" You lift your head to look at your father, who's stretching out his back after sitting for so long.
"Yeah, dad?"
"Your mother and I are getting a little tired...we're going to go to bed, if that's alright with you two?"
"Of course, don't let us keep you up." Quinn confirms your own thoughts as well, telling your parents it's not problem at all. It's all so...so domestic.
Your dad presses a kiss to the top of your head, as does your mother, before yourself and Quinn wish them goodnight. You wait until you see the door to the spare room start to close, not waiting for it to do so fully, before turning to Quinn. You pull out of his arms, the missing warmth of you an immediate loss to him, but it has him sitting up straight and taking you seriously.
Your face is sullen, sad, eyebrows pinched, mouth turned down into a frown and he's alarmed to see that your eyes are glassy like you might cry.
"Why on earth would you let my parents think we're dating? Why would you tell my mother you're in love with me?" You're certain you're going to cry, angry, frustrated and sad all in one. Lovesick because it hurts to hear him tell your mother he was in love with you when you know he's not.
"Why not?" He frowns at you, hands reaching out but you keep just out of reach as if touching him is the last thing you want. You've never shied away from Quinn's touch and he recoils, breathing a little heavier out of anxious worry that he's upset you, that he's fucked this up. Maybe you've been uncomfortable with his touch all day? Has he been making you uncomfortable all day? Is he one of those guys?
"Because we're not dating and you're not in love with me, Quinn. My mother is certain we're going to get married and I'll stop being an old spinster! You're getting her hopes up." The unspoken words lay heavy on your tongue, 'you're getting my hopes up', you want to say.
"Who said I didn't love you? Who said I didn't want to marry you?" The look he gives you isn't the cheeky one he's had all day, it's not joking or silly, it's dead serious. He scoots closer to you, but doesn't reach out for you this time. But, Quinn can't help but want to be close to you, to be drawn into your orbit, into your gravity.
"Quinn..."
"What?"
"You're being mean..." Your voice is filled with tears, wet, pathetic sounding and you choke back a sob as a tear falls down your cheek because he's being so mean...he can't dangle that in front of you, everything you've ever wanted, not when he doesn't actually mean it.
He realises in that moment that you don't believe him. You believe he's spent the entire morning and evening telling lies, saying that he loves you when he doesn't, that you're that important to him when you aren't. You believe he's being mean because you don't believe him, that the tears are because you think he's holding this thing, this idea out in front of you, only to snatch it away.
"Look, I said a lot today...but none of it was a lie." He can't help himself this time, hand coming up to cup your cheek, thumb wiping away that pesky tear that shouldn't have been there in the first place. It's the way you lean into his touch that brings him a sense of confidence, of relief, you wouldn't do that if you didn't want him touching you.
"I know our first date wasn't a date, just a stupid family skate I was too scared to ask you out to as more than just a friend. I wish it had been a date and I wish I had been brave enough from the start to tell you I didn't just want to be your friend."
"Quinn..."
"And I was telling the truth...when your mother asked me when I fell in love with you." He tugs you closer, until your legs are back over his lap and your practically sitting on top of him, arms wrapping around your lower back and pulling you closer. The way he stares up at you is nothing short of reverent.
"Q..."
"The second week we knew each other you came to look after me when no one else did...and I knew...I knew that I was going to love you and that I was stupid for not asking you out in the first place...but I was...I was too scared to say anything. I didn't want to lose my new friend...I thought..." He hesitates, tongue coming out to nervously brush against his bottom lip, capturing your attention like a magpie with a shiny button.
"You thought?" You're whispering, quiet as if to speak any louder might scare him, might disrupt this little bubble you've found yourself in.
"I thought having a tiny bit of you...any bit, was better than having none of you at all." Quinn confesses, shifting you on his lap as your legs fall either side of his hips until you're so close your noses brush.
"Is it?"
"It was...for a bit..." It's self-deprecating, sardonic, like he finds himself ridiculous, foolish.
"And now?"
"And now I've had a taste of what it's like to love you, to be able to kiss you and hold you...call you mine...and now I'm greedy and it's not enough...Baby, it'll never be enough."
"You...you love me?" It's like even after all of this, everything he's said, every tender touch, you still don't quite believe him. It's hard to believe that everything you've ever wanted is sat in the palm of your hand just waiting for you to capture it, to take it. That your feelings, the ones you believed were unrequited for two years, were actually returned all along.
"I love you...and...um, if...if you'll have me, maybe I could be your real boyfriend this time?" His face is bright red, so warm to the touch when you're fingers reach out to trace his cheeks that you're surprised he doesn't combust.
"I'd like that...I...I love you too,"
"So...I'm your boyfriend?" He says it like he doesn't quite believe it, the beauty mark on his cheek moving as he grins up at you giddy like a little kid getting his first bag of sweets.
"You're my boyfriend." You press a kiss to that beauty mark without overthinking it...because you can now, because now it's not a lie when you tell your parents he's your boyfriend, because now you're allowed to kiss him and hold him and tell him how much you love him.
"Fuck...that sounds good."
He can't help but just stare up at you from where you're straddling his lap. The healthy glow to your skin, the soft smile directed down at him, the way you seem to curl into him like you're not close enough even now. God, you're beautiful and you're his...you're finally his and he's yours and...and he can't comprehend that the thing he wanted to happen for so long has finally happened. What had he been scared of all this time? He could have been with you for two years, instead he'd squandered it out of fear...
"Quinn?" Your voice is soft, melodic, so so sweet that almost closes his eyes at the sound.
"Yeah, baby?"
"Kiss me?" You whisper as if it's shameful to ask, as if you've asked for something more sordid than a simple kiss...your first kiss together at that.
"Anything for my girl."
He's gentle in the way he cups your neck and jaw with one large hand, thumb pressing just below your jaw bone as he pulls you in. There's nothing rushed about the way Quinn presses your lips together, the smooth glide of his bottom lip against your top. Even the way his tongue brushes against your lip until you open up for him is slow, steady, adoring. You can't help the way you sigh into him, fingers gliding through dark chocolate strands, eyes closing shut with the sense of home, sense of relief that you find in him.
The two of you lose yourselves in each other, slow kisses, wandering hands, nothing too extreme, but a new found intimacy that you're finally allowed to indulge in before you curl back up together to watch the remainder of the movie. Watch being a loose term for what you're really doing.
"Did you know?" Your father turns his eyes away from the scene outside the spare bedroom, the way you're curled up in Quinn's arms like you were always supposed to be there. Neither of you realising that the spare bedroom door had never fully closed, both your parents eavesdropping like Samwise Gamgee.
"That they weren't actually together, dear?" Your mother looks sly and devious as she looks over at her husband. The face of the woman he loves, but also fears in equal measure.
"Yes."
"Of course I knew...but I figured they could both use a shove in the right direction, I mean, look at them?" Your parents both turn to watch the two of you, the way you curl up together on the couch is the epitome of young love. There's no real watching of a movie happening, instead Quinn's fingers are rubbing circles into your shoulder, while you look up at him lovingly from where you're curled against his chest. Every now and then he dips his head down to press a kiss against your forehead, and each time you giggle, face pressing briefly into his neck. The giddy feeling of a new, fresh love, making film watching the least of your interests.
"They just needed a little push." Both your parents smile at each other even as your father playfully scolds his wife, "You're a meddlesome woman."
"And you love me for it."
"Yes, yes I do."
Perhaps it took a bit of meddling, a fake misunderstanding, but that would be their little secret...at least for now. Your mother was rather looking forward to seeing you squirm in the future as you reveal the truth, that you hadn't actually been dating Quinn as long as you said. Yes, she certainly was happy to help, but she also was still your mother and lying to your mother was certainly not the done thing. A little squirming was good for you sometimes, but first, she'd let you enjoy the fresh bloom of love...and she'd go easy on you.

JESSICA RABBIT like YUU X DORMLEADERS
(This focuses more on Jessica’s personality than her looks!)
So, he probably heard about you from Cater or Ace. When he first spotted you hanging out in the Monstro Lounge—singing and pouring drinks—poor guy didn’t even know how to handle himself! At first, he had his own thoughts about you, but eventually, he warmed up. I mean, when you hit him with that classic line, "I’m not bad, I’m just drawn that way," he totally fumbled his words and turned a shade redder than his hair!
He starts to relax a bit with the rules when you’re around, but if you’re up for the challenge of learning all 810 of them (or at least a third of them, which I bet you are), that’s a wholeee different story! Anytime someone shows a little too much interest in you he’s like, “OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!” Like he loves having an attractive , amazing, dare I say HOT partner but damn is there a lot of things that come as a consequence of such blessing.
And don’t even get me started on how he reacts when you entertain Deuce and Ace’s wild ideas. He loves you to bits, but honestly, you’re stressing him out! Someone save him from the shackles of love🥹‼️
You remind him of the Lionesses back home, embodying their fierce spirit and strength. He never underestimates your capabilities, especially after witnessing someone get their arm caught in a bear trap while attempting to make advances toward you. If anyone crosses the line, he is always prepared to intervene, although he typically ensures that such situations never escalate to that point in the first place.
Your unwavering loyalty is undoubtedly one of his favorite qualities; you are always ready to defend him and are unafraid to remind him to get a grip when necessary. A significant turning point in your relationship came when you allowed him to rest his head on your lap, and this simple act gradually transformed into a cherished routine between the two of you.
Ruggie frequently reaches out to you, expressing his frustrations about Leona and pleading for your assistance in dragging him out of bed and into class.😭 Depending on Leona's mood, he might even pull you down into the bed with him, making it difficult to escape. During nap time, he wraps his tail around your leg like a makeshift sensor, ensuring you remain by his side and do not attempt to leave the bed. Unfortunately, this means you have to say goodbye to your perfect attendance.(RIP)🫡🪦
You and Azul first crossed paths when Floyd and Jade hired you, unbeknownst to Azul, to perform at the Mostro Lounge. After witnessing your debut performance, Azul was so impressed that he promptly offered you a contract, recognizing the influx of new customers you attracted. However, he often feels a twinge of insecurity around you; after all, you are one of the most stunning individuals he has ever encountered (Don’t tell Vil he said that💀)
Adding to his struggles, Jade and Floyd constantly bully😭 tease him, making it nearly impossible for him to focus on his work whenever you're nearby. There was a particularly memorable moment when you accidentally walked in on him changing, prompting him to hide away in embarrassment. Your warm embrace brought him to tears, showcasing the depth of his feelings for you.
In a narrative reminiscent of a mafia boss and his devoted, sweet wife, Azul deeply appreciates your willingness to get your hands dirty in his defense. While he may occasionally take advantage of your fierce loyalty, the silver lining is that you are never entirely constrained by your contracts!🤫
He would totally go above and beyond for you. Out of nowhere, gifts would just show up on your doorstep, which was sweet but also a bit much. You had to remind him that he didn’t need to shower you with presents, but he just couldn’t help himself—everything that reminded him of you ended up in his cart. It got so excessive that Jamil had to step in(per usual)
“Jamil! Do you think they’ll love this?!” Kalim would ask, all excited. And Jamil would just roll his eyes, “You know how they feel about you buying them stuff.” EVERYONE SAY THANK YOU JAMIL‼️‼️
You know you’re always going to be his go-to when he throws a party at the dorm. The whole time, he just clings to you like a koala, and honestly, it’s kind of adorable.
But things got a bit intense when you almost lost it on Jamil after he overblotted and tried to go after Kalim. Ever since then, you’ve kept your guard up around him. Kalim assured you that everything was cool and that there were no hard feelings. He was pretty happy when you said you’d try to move past it for his sake. But let’s be real, that grudge? Not going anywhere. 💀
Absolutely DANGEROUS couple‼️Like the paparazzi just can’t get enough of you two! You’re probably being followed around everywhere with cameras in your face.
Let's be real, you two must be making music together because when you do, those tracks are hitting the TOP 10 on the BILLBOARD charts in no time! Honestly, you guys are just an absolute power couple, and I applaud you for it(I’m jealous)🫡
But seriously, he wouldn’t let you anywhere near Neige. You go to a ball as his plus one and Neige was there? He pulled out every excuse imaginable to get you away from the guy. Like, “I want to introduce you to a co-star of mine,” or dragging you away and saying“Here’s a good friend of mine!” Come on, buddy, you’re not slick😭
He’s just trying to protect himself from losing anything else to Neige. Please, give him a little reassurance (I’m begging you😞).
So, imagine this: a total gamer who's kind of a loser, but somehow he snagged a super hot girl—like, how did he pull that off? I'm honestly a bit confused about how you guys even met since he rarely leaves his room. But if you two ever did bump into each other, you’d totally be the oddest yet cutest couple around! This relationship is probably the closest to Roger Rabbit and Jessica.
You always listen to him go off about his games, and I mean, these rants can get up to four hours. Trust me, he’s not going anywhere if it’s not with you. His hair definitely turns pink whenever you stand up for him or tell a waiter they messed up his order.
He totally fell harder for you when he saw how you interacted with Ortho. You two hit it off right away and became besties, teaming up to coax Idia out of his shell more. Honestly, it’s just one big happy family! 🥹
So, he was super interested in you, right? Lilia had to really push him to make a move and talk to you, even though you might’ve had the reputation to be a bit unapproachable. But hey, that’s probably why you two clicked so well once you finally met! You both totally bond over the fact that no one really wants to come up to you, even if the reasons are different. It just works out perfectly!
When you joined his gargoyle club, he had to seriously hold back a giggle like a school girl. And let’s be real, even though you weren’t really into gargoyles (he could definitely tell🥸), you showed up to every single meeting, listening to him go on and on about those stone creatures. It’s like he’s convinced that you’re the one for him. So, when people start calling you Lady Draconia, just know that this was no mistake 😭
But here’s the thing about dragons: they get super protective over their mate. If anyone tries to mess with you, they're immediately struck down by lightning. He gets all confused when you shake your head and frown, telling him you could’ve handled it on your own.

Also if you don't mind can I ask for the Promp "Conforting Kisses" where the reader had a nightmare of the getting badly hurt and they give them kisses to forget maybe?
If you can do it for Luffy, Ace and Shanks I will be thankful for ever. If you don't want to write it is okey💕
Hope you have a great day! 💕
Thank you again for writing💕💖
DESCRIPTION: Prompt: Comforting Kisses
WARNINGS: descriptions of injury, mentions of death. slight angst. hurt to comfort

LUFFY
He was so much stronger than he had been when you first met and joined him on the crew. Luffy had spent two years under Rayleigh’s instruction to ensure he’d never lose anyone else close to him again. So now why was he staring in horror, completely helpless and unable to intervene as you were overwhelmed by multiple heavy hitting opponents he’d defeated in the past. Each one got hit after hit on you, ignoring Luffy’s yells for them to leave you alone. As strong as a fighter as you were normally you were no match against these monsters striking all at once. You didn’t even seem to notice Luffy as he screamed and struggled to get to you. The Captain could only watch as your attackers fell back into shadows while you fell to your knees as a wave of Magellan’s poison and Akainu’s magma came crashing over you.
Luffy awoke with a shuddering gasp, limbs locked tightly and body trembling as the cold sweat broke over his skin. With every rapid breath he took, the images he’d just detached himself from flashed in his mind in the dark. Every desperate gulp of air just brought more of a panic, drawing him back to the darkest, lowest point in his life when he’d realised he was weak and couldn’t save his brother. What would he do if he lost you? Before a new panic could set in, he caught the sound of soft footsteps approaching. Immediately he was out of bed and approaching the door, opening it before you could even knock. “Oh, couldn’t sleep either Lu-”
Before you could finish your question, Luffy had his arms out like a shot and pulled you against him. Laying his head against your chest the sound of your heartbeat finally began to ground him, rooting him in reality and not the horrible nightmare that still clung to him. You’d initially tensed at the hug Luffy drew you into, not because of it being unexpected-it wasn’t given how affectionate he was with everyone-but because of how timid he seemed. This wasn’t a usual Luffy hug, filled with warmth and happiness. As you wrapped your arms around his shoulders you could feel the tremor in his frame and took note of how every so often his arms would try to pull you closer. Angling one hand you settled your finger’s against the back of his head, moving in gentle motions to help him relax from whatever nightmare he’d clearly had.
Lightly you pressed a kiss against the top of Luffy’s head, a small smile tugging at your lips when Luffy slowly lifted his head to meet your gaze. It was reassuring to see he seemed more himself albeit still a little shaken. “Can you do that again? Felt nice.”
“Sure.” Leaning forward you pressed a longer but just as gentle kiss against his forehead, your smile growing to hear and feel Luffy’s body relax from the comforting action. You pulled back to watch him carefully. “Ready to go back to bed? I can stay with you if it helps.”
Unsurprisingly Luffy’s gaze hardened at the suggestion. He was tired, he wasn’t going to lie but at the same time he hesitated. The last thing he wanted was to have that nightmare all over against your offer of staying helped him greatly.
Together you moved back into Luffy’s room and lay down in the bed. Taking naps with Luffy was never anything new but since starting a relationship with him this was the first time you were going to spend the night in his bed. As much as you didn't like the circumstances that led to this but you couldn’t deny how right it felt to lie in Luffy’s arms, pressing comforting kisses against his head as he fell asleep to keep his nightmares away.
SHANKS
Shanks knew this image well. Loguetown’s town square filled to the brim of people, their heads turned towards the towering execution block and awaiting the procession to appear on the top podium. Overhead thick grey clouds quickly swept in and darkened the clear morning, rain falling heavily as the winds began to shriek. Shanks lifted his arm to shield his eyes, his gaze firmly on the Marines who appeared. Your name was shouted out for the audience to hear and immediately Shanks’ body froze when the two Marines stepped aside and you were roughly shoved onto your knees.
Your body looked so frail and small on top of the execution block. Even from where he stood he could see the bruises and cuts against your body as you knelt, hands held firmly by the heavy iron shackles and chains. Shanks quickly began to push through the crowd, trying to get to you but for every person he moved out of his way more replaced them. No, this couldn’t be happening. While the two Marines drew their weapons in preparation of what was to come, another stepped forward to begin calling out the charges.
“You have been found guilty for aiding and abetting, harbouring, and consorting with known Pirate Emperor Red Hair Shanks on multiple accounts spanning years. For this clear defection of the World Government’s rule and repeated alliance with dangerous criminals we can only treat you as a pirate and deem only one punishment is suitable; death.” Over the pelting rain and thunder, Shank’s yell for you was swallowed and you defeatedly hung your head. Your eyes slid closed as you waiting the swinging of the blades, arcing straight for you.
Shanks woke sharply, a deep pit of ice twisting painfully in his stomach as his heart thundered loudly in his ears. It was so incredibly rare for Shanks to feel powerless or weak, he couldn’t remember the last time he’d had a nightmare and any that came to mind paled in comparison to what he’d just seen. He’d never allow any harm to come to you, in all the years he’d known you and loved you he’d made sure the Marines and any pirate rivals he had knew nothing about you. Glancing down he saw you sleeping peacefully against his chest. Logic told him you were fine, you were safe. He could feel your warmth and feel your soft breath against his skin but still it couldn’t replace the images of your beaten body about to be put to death.
Knowing it was irrational and stupid, he couldn’t help himself. Lightly he spoke your name and gently shook your shoulder. Immediately you stirred, a hum of sleep thickened confusion breaking from your lips. Shifting so you were on your stomach you blinked through the haze and looked to Shanks in sleepy concern, knowing he’d never wake you unless it was necessary. “Shanks? What’s wrong?”
“Sorry love, really I am.” Shanks explained softly, letting his fingers gently move in soothing patterns against your skin. Seeing you awake and hearing your voice already doing wonders to dispel the hurt his subconsciousness had created. “Had a bad nightmare. Just needed you.”
Immediately your gaze sharpened enough and you nodded in understanding. It wasn’t often but anytime you had a nightmare and Shanks was there he’d wake and be there with you until you’d calmed. Now it was your turn.
Slowly you pulled yourself up and inched closer. With a feather-light touch you pushed the stray strands of red hair from his face before caressing his jaw. Leaning in you pressed sweet, caring kisses against his face. You started at his eyes, paying close attention to his scars before moving to his temple, then the bridge of his nose, his cheeks before finally settling your lips against Shanks’ pulling him into a deep, tender kiss, clearing the remnants of his nightmare away. Breaking apart you lay your forehead against Shanks’, smiling when he lifted your hand to his mouth, kissing your wrist, a clear sign he was becoming more like his usual self. “When the crew and I leave this time, you want to come with me?”

A drunken confession by Azzi to Paige at Ted’s during a team gathering. Azzi sees Paige talking to this girl so out of jealousy, she downs multiple shots to get her mind off her. While downing them she doesn’t realize that Paige had came down to sit by her. So Azzi being really drunk couldn’t control her words so she confesses to Paige right there. "You know, I always look for you in every crowd. Even when I pretend I don’t care, I do. So much." And then they go back to the dorm room and (hehe smut)

It was Azzi’s freshman year. She had chosen Uconn after a lot of serious thought, and hard convincing from Paige, but she was almost positive that it was the best school for her.
Paige had done the majority of the convincing, making edit reels on Hudl, sending her merch, tweeting about it, when it came to Uconn, Paige had absolutely no shame.
It was no secret that the girls had chemistry on the court, Geno didn't have to make a big decision on whether or not the girls would work well together. Slam even made an entire cover story solely on their friendship “one in a million”.
But their chemistry didn't stop at just the court. All it took was one shared plane ride back to Minnesota from team USA and there was no denying it.
—----
Azzi had been in love with paige ever since that flight, she knew paige loved her as a friend, but would never be able to tell if the feelings of love the way Azzi felt them, were mutual.
In highschool, living 100s of miles apart, meant not being able to have anything permanent. Maybe that was what made Azzi feel so unsure of herself when it came to her relationship with Paige, what they really had, and how worth it was.
—--
It all started when they shared their first kiss.
Paige had flown down for Azzi’s 16th birthday.
They spent the entire day sharing cake, laughs, and memories.
By the end of the night it was just her and Paige.
Aside from snapchats and long facetime calls, this was the first time they had seen eachother since team USA.
There was obvious tension, neither of the girls could hide.
Laying in Azzi’s bedroom both girls stared up at the ceiling, longing to break the loud silence between them.
Neither of them would remember who moved first, all they could remember was somehow, someway, they ended up sharing their first kiss.
Azzi would never forget that moment, and neither would Paige.
—------
After that what followed just came natural, the first kiss led to a first make out, and even them losing their virginity to each other.
Azzi’s feelings for Paige were unimaginable. Everytime she thought it might be different she was reminded that what they had was completely casual, and they were just friends.
—----
—----
Paige picked her head up from between Azzi’s legs, wiping her mouth and putting her shirt back on.
“Thanks for that!” Paige said cheerily standing up and walking over to fix her hair in the mirror.
Azzi on the other hand had yet to recover from their little “excursion” and was still trying to catch her breath.
Once she had regained her sanity and came back to earth, Azzi propped herself up on her elbows so she could have a better look at Paige.
She cocked her head, “Hey why are you so dressed up, I thought we were just going to Ted's with the team?” Azzi asked as she watched Paige put on some of herrrr mascara, which was very out of character, seeing as how she had to literally use Azzi’s.
“Dani is gonna be there, so i dunno just wanna look good i guess.” Paige shrugged her off.
Azzi couldn't hide the way her heart dropped. How did she keep letting this happen?
She has tried to stop it from happening, she knows this “friends with benefits” wasn't good for her, it clearly isn't working, and all it does is leave Azzi alone wanting Paige even more than she did before.
“Oh-well you always look nice” Azzi said quietly while Paige just continued running around the room not even hearing her.
Azzi sighed to herself, she was in for a long night.
By the time they got to Ted's, Azzi and Paige were still for the most part attached to the hip. Azzi hated to admit it, but she just felt safer with Paige, it didn't matter how broken her heart got, she couldn't bear to be away from her.
That was what she thought.
Now here she was ordering a round of shots.
Paige had gotten up and managed to run into Dani by the bar.
“What kind of name is Dani anyway.” Azzi sneered at Amari as she threw another shot back, glowering over at the two girls. She hated the way Dani touches Paige's arm. Paige always hated when girls did that she would say it just felt, “Too obvious”.
“Says you AZZZIIII” Amari teased, dragging out her name to highlight the irony.
“Well I guess she has a theme.” Azzi said gruffly, turning her back so she didn't have to look at them anymore.
“Damn Azzi pace yourself” Aubrey says coming up behind her and putting a hand on her shoulder.
“I'm fine,” Azzi replied shortly, trying to stand up. But in all honesty, she was far from fine. She hadn't drank too much but the amount she had in such a short period of time made all the blood rush to her head causing her to wobble.
“Yeah Azzi you don't look so good- sit back down I'm gonna go get you some ice water from the bar.” Amari added standing up and making her way over to the bar.
Ugh the bar. Even the thought of it made Azzi feel even worse, and not because of the alcohol, but because of the idea that Paige was over their probably planning to fuck some random girl, and maybe even worse- ask her on a date.
Azzi sat back down leaning her head against the table, letting the cool metal soothe the pounding headache she had.
A few minutes later Amari had returned, setting the glass down next to her. Azzi’s face was buried in the table, and Amari was behind her, so she couldn't have seen that when Amari had gone to get the ice water, Paige had immediately noticed Azzi’s condition.
Paige knew Azzi better than anyone. While Azzi had thought that Paige didn't care about Azzi, she thought wrong. Paige had been secretly watching her all night. When she saw Azzi begin to stubble, she had planned to rush over to her, but ran into Amari instead, who told her that Azzi was more of a light weight than she thought.
So when Amari placed the glass on the table next to Azzi, it wasn't really Amari, but Paige instead. Her gentle hand came around to place a comforting nudge against her shoulder.
Azzi sat up feeling the warming touch, she grabbed the water from the table and took a sip, the cool liquid coating the burning fire in her throat.
“She got fucked like 45 minutes ago, how horny is she god.” Azzi said abruptly, startingaling Paige.
“Are you talking about me silly girl?” Paige smirked, running a finger through Azzi’s thick dark curls.
Azzi felt her body tense and release. She felt a new wave of boldness wave over her. Unsure of it was the alcohol, or if she had just finally had enough she decided to come clean- which she may or may not regret later.
“Yes” Azzi said sternly, crossing her arms and jutting out her bottom lip into a pout.
Paige's heart raced seeing her so open and honest. She watched as Azzi struggled to find words to fill the silence.
She paused for a moment not sure what to say next, the tension between them clear.
“I just don't know how you were fucking me literally 45 minutes ago and you're already moved on to the next girl. Like I act like I don't care, but I do. So much.” Azzi started, her voice moving a mile a minute as her drunken confession spilled out of her.
Paige turned her to face her, holding her by the shoulders and looking into her eyes.
“Why didn't you say something?” Paige asked, running her fingers along Azzi’s shoulders.
“You made it clear that you just wanted to be friends with benefits nothing more, we never put a label on it, I thought- I just thought that once I came to Uconn things would be different-but I don't know it's stupid…” Azzi trailed off, bringing her gaze down to the floor.
“Azzi-” Paige paused, using her finger to direct Azzi’s chin so she's looking back at her. “You've never just been a hook up to me, I just didn't want to hold you back. I thought that with college you would want to experiment and I didn't want to be the person that kept you from that.” Paige sighed looking for a response in Azzi’s eyes.
“I care about you more than you know, I have wanted to be more than just friends with you since the minute that I first saw you.” Paige continued reading her face.
Azzi felt her heart flutter at Paige’s honesty.
Without responding Azzi looks at Paige's lips, and before they knew it they were meeting in the middle, lips connecting, and their surroundings disappearing.
this time when they kissed it didn't feel like time was running out, this time it felt like their time had just begun. They weren't kissing as friends scared to go too far, but they were kissing- exploring something new, an unknown meaning of the relationship.
Paige slipped her tongue against Azzi’s lip, and maneuvered her hands so that they were grasping her ass. Azzi let out a gentle moan and Paige took that as an opportunity to sneak her tongue into Azzi's mouth.
As the kiss sped up, Paige would have taken Azzi right then and there if it weren't for Amari coming back and breaking it up.
“All right, get a room, Jesus.” Amari laughed, shoving them apart.
Azzi was blushing looking over at Paige who was puffy-lipped, and had eyes that were hooded over with lust.
The two escape the bar in a heap of giggles stealing kisses as they make their way back to the dorm.
They barely made it to Paige's bedroom with clothes on.
Paige practically throws Azzi onto the bed before connecting their lips again.
“ so fucking pretty” Paige said admiring Azzi's naked body as she trailed her fingers along her abs.
“Hey you fucked me earlier, its your turn now.” Azzi whined, flipping them over so she was on top.
“Whatever you want, pretty girl.” Paige cooed.
With Paige’s affirmative words, Azzi crept down, trailing a line of kisses from her sharp jawline to the peak of her pelvic bone.
“So wet for me huh.” Azzi said, staring at the way her cunt glistened under Paige’s LED lights.
“Yeah seeing how jealous you got about me with another girl really turned me on.” Paige smirked, watching as Azzi ran her fingers along her inner thigh, spreading her legs wider.
Azzi simply looked up at her and smiled before leaning in and placing a few small slow kisses against her heat.
Paige let out a deep inhale at the sudden contact.
Azzi’s kisses turned into small kitten licks against her clit.
“Fuck Azzi” Paige moaned straining to keep her legs open as Azzi licked a long stripe from her hole back to her clit before going back in with more kitten licks.
Now that Paige was a heap of breathy moans, and her wetness was dripping from her hole, Azzi inserted two fingers jabbing them upward and feeling against Paige’s walls. As she thrusted in and out, she continued to lick against her clit in patterns, alternating between figure eights and tight circles.
Paige let out a sharp whine and Azzi began to suck and pull at her clit while simultaneously pounding her fingers in and out of her.
“Fuck right there Azzi” Paige moaned, lacing her fingers in Azzi’s hair and pulling her, guiding her and pushing down on that sweet spot on her clit.
Paige could feel her stomach tightening around Azzi's fingers.
“Fuck dont stop im so close” she continued, shoving Azzi’s face deeper into her cunt.
Azzi grunted against her, sending the vibrations into her core, and sending Paige over the edge, cumming all over Azzi’s fingers.
As Azzi fucked her through it, paige reached up to play with her nipples, tugging at them and rubbing them under her fingers.
“You're so perfect, did you know that?” Paige asked, her hands traveling down to where her pussy was.
“Mmmm” Azzi moans, not agreeing but not disagreeing. Paige smirks.
As Azzi pulls her fingers out of Paige, Paige takes them and sticks them in her mouth for her. She begins to lick around them, and flips them over, pulls out her fingers and shoves three of them that were dripping with spit and Paige's cum into Azzi’s tight pussy.
Azzi moans from the unexpected pressure, her legs shaking as Paige tries to squeeze in all three of her fingers simultaneously.
“Paige” Azzi moans loudly grabbing at Paige to get her to slow down.
“Too fast, too much, I can't.” Azzi whines, feeling Paige's fingers start to hit her g spot.
“You can, baby. Trust I have you. Let me do you right.” Paige says leaning down to blow against her clit.
Azzi moans at the pressure on her clit and props herself up so she can watch her pussy suction against Paige's fingers.
“She’s taking me so well.” Paige said basically to her cunt as she worked her thumb now against Azzi's clit. Azzi groaned at Paige’s words letting herself be carried away by the euphoric feeling.
The sound of Azzi's wetness and Paige's fingers squelching against her gummy walls mixed with their moans. Paige grunted as she worked her fingers against her pussy.
“Fuck im gonna come P.” Azzi started, leaning over as Paige used her other hand to press on her lower stomach, her fingers still pounding into her at an outrageous speed.
Paige could feel Azzi’s walls clenching around her fingers, the tightness almost impossible for Paige to push them in and out.
Paige used her other hand to ground herself and continued to fuck her through it, hearing her turn into a series of moans as her liquid began to spill from her pussy. Paige could feel her juices coating her hand. Paige bent over and connected her lips to her pussy as she removed her fingers from inside her, letting her cum pour out of her, and drinking up every last drop, not stopping until Azzi was pushing her head away from her.
Paige lay down next to her. Both girls were breathing heavily, just staring up at the ceiling.
Azzi turned towards Paige.
“Paige”
“Ya”
“I love you”
“I love you too baby” Paige said, reaching out and pulling Azzi into her, and spooning her from behind.

imperfect for you (aka insecure reader x comforting rafe)
kook!reader x rafe cameron
prompt: a party that was supposed to be relaxing and to clear the head goes terribly wrong, leaving a very anxious and insecure reader, good thing she has her very caring boyfriend who knows exactly how to take care of her.
a/n: okay, that's the first time i write for rafe, i really like obx and rafe, so i tried my best in here, but i didn't really like it, i think it's bcs it's my first time writing about him. english is not my first language, i hope you guys like it 💗
You weren't exactly excited about going to this party, but you knew your boyfriend was, and you didn't want to be a party pooper, and at least you'd be with him, nothing bad would happen if you gave up and went to a party, right?
Well, you were wrong, terribly wrong, even though you were a kook, you never exactly fit in, you never got the right friends, and even though you were pretty, guys just didn't seem to be interested in you.
That was until, Rafe Cameron laid eyes on you, in your little sundress, having a drink at the club, just looking for some peace, you looked almost ethereal in his eyes, and he just knew you were meant to be together, it took a while to convince you of that. You spent most of the talk thinking it was some bad joke, because there was no way, Rafe Cameron, the king of kooks, was there, talking to you, interested in you and not on your hot friend, or literally anyone else.
You two get along almost instantly, his charm had you wrapped around his finger, and you loved it.
It had been months since you two started dating, but you still didn't feel like you fit into his social circle. So when, the first moment he separated from you at the party, a girl purposely bumped into you, spilling her drink on your short dress and whispering 'Whore' in your ear, you were sure.
Rafe didn't get it why you suddenly looked so upset, but he wanted everything, but to see his girl upset, so when he suggested for you, that you two go home, you happily headed towards the truck.
"Sweetheart, you need to talk to me. What the hell happened that you suddenly look like a kicked puppy?" and it only took his playful words for you to burst into tears in the passenger seat, it wasn't just the girl or the stained dress, everything looked too much, and you looked so small, a girl being an bitch was all you needed to lose it.
Rafe immediately looked at you with his blue eyes filled with concern. "Hey, love, I was just kidding, you don't look like a kicked puppy, I swear." he says trying to understand what happened to make you break down.
You looked up at him, your pretty eyes shining with tears. "I just-, I don't feel like I fit in, Rafey, like i fit right in with you, but i'm just unwanted by everyone else," she says, her voice cracking with tears. "I tried to fit in, but I've been around these people my whole life, and they've never liked me, and now I feel like I'm holding you back, or making them look down at you"
Now, he looks like a kicked puppy as he looks at you with a worried expression. "Honey, you don't have to fit in, those people at the party, they don't like me either, they look at me like shit too and that's not your fault, not at all, you don't need to fit in with them because you think you have to because of me, the only person I need by my side, is you."
She blinks her bright eyes at him, as if the words had run away from her mind. The car stops in front of the house, and he gets out, opening the door for her, greeting her with a kiss before the words even come back to her. "I love you, no matter what any of those assholes think, because you're the one who's here for me, not them."
She looks at him, looking almost wonderstruck, a smile breaking across her face, wrapping her arms around his neck. "The only person I need is you, Rafe," she says, knowing that the feeling was mutual. "What do you say we go inside, put you in some comfy clothes, and watch Sex and the City?" She laughs at how well he knows her as they walk into the house, his hand around her waist.
"Sounds perfect."

A Maid Doll's "Day Off"
My special doll took a very big leap with me today. It wanted to have its first narrative hypnosis session.
It had blossomed under my care, changing its boundaries when it felt comfortable, really enjoying the safe space I had built for it to explore hypnosis and dollhood.
It came to and explicity stated it wanted something full bodied and powerful. It had waited so patiently for me to come off my break and it was ready to be woven into a story that changed every part of it.
After discussing ideas, it loved the idea of being completely reduced to nothing but a toy to be used however I see fit.
I was so proud of it for wanting to give so much of it to me to look after, to reshape and rewire. So we discussed a little more, focus on some fine details and we began.
It wanted to try gentle fractionation with me, and I firmly believe that that is one of the best ways to go down for a long session of sensual storytelling.
It had been such a good maid doll for me while I was away so it was only fitting that our story was about giving it a day off, a day off in the way that only Miss Saphi could provide.
After taking it on a gentle walk through gentle fractionation, nestling it in my lap and weaving a ribbon around it, we began our tale.
It found itself in the rustic kitchen of my beautiful house, the kitchen that lead into the conservatory where I loved to paint the pretty things that stayed in my home.
There was a pile of dishes in the basin, but it didn't mind. It liked serving the house and serving me. It loved how its uniform and dress helped it sink into servitude even more.
It could hear other dolls in the house, tottering about their business. Some were maids like it, others were playing with other dolls, some were just toys, mindless going about their day under whatever spell I wove into them.
Then its vision turns dark.
It freezes in place, like a good doll does.
Its shoulders ease and melt as my voices curls into its ear and mind.
"You've been such a good maid doll darling, you work so hard and every doll in here appreciates all you do. But we all think its time you had a break."
It felt itself being lifted up, as more arms entered its sensory periphery. What the maid doll didn't see as it was carried out of the kitchen was another doll taking up its old station at the sink.
The rustic warm light of the kitchen gave way to cascading natural sunlight that spilled through the skylights of the tall main hallway. It had walked this hallway a lot, dusting the ornamentations and finery. This was the first time it was carried through. It could hear all kinds of play in the connecting playrooms. Out of sight were rubber dolls cavorting in shiny bliss, pliable blank dolls stood in bright pink display boxes, drones undergoing maintenance.
When it could finally see, it found itself in a playroom. A beautiful high ceilinged space, with two couches in the centre of the room. A low table sat between them, rings attached to its corners. The maid doll's mind raced with the idea of being put on display as a centrepiece and strapped down so it couldn't move.
I had a different plan for this doll.
I entered the room, and stood in front of the maid doll.
I began to undress it.
Every button unbottened, every lace unlaced, every fastener undone, heightened its arousal. A breath caught in each moment.
Soon its uniform was pooled at the floor, but a swift clap from my hands prompted two dolls to enter the room, gather the uniform, and neatly fold it and place it on one of the couches.
Then we all began to caress its tired doll body.
The dolls pay attention to its arms and legs, running nails up and down its skin, drawing lines of erotic sensation. I paid my attention to the rest of the doll. Its moans were so delicious, I could sense just how much it had worked and toiled. How much tension it held in its joints. Sometimes it liked that, that it was doing good work and there signs of its diligence on its skin. But sometimes it can lead to overwork, to putting aside the rest. Sometimes such a diligent doll needs to made to have a break.
A click rang out through the room.
The doll gasped as it felt the dolls starting to push on its hands and feet.
A slick surface began to press against its behind, its hands and feet. Then it moved... through? Like it was sinking into water and the surface tension was shaping to its body.
It looked at its hands to see that the dolls had pressed them into shining black latex. It had begun to envelop and suspend them, like a standing vacuum bed.
It turned back to say something to me, but it was met by hand on its cheek, and with a single smoothe across it's lips, its lips had been reduced to flat shining latex.
It moaned in pleasure, the burden of speaking so swiftly and lovingly lifted left room within its mind for more pleasure. It pulled at its rubber bonds, but the elasticity sprung its arms back out wide.
I took great pleasure in watching it writhe and buck in its new rubber prison. I placed my hand on its doll parts and began to rub and stroke. I couldn't help but bite my lip at the stifled moans it was making.
It could feel the rubber beginning to spread, slinking its way up its body. When I felt it reach its doll parts, I decided to make a little fantasy of the doll's come true. I buried my fingers deep into its folds and stroked and stroked, stretching it out into a perfect fuck hole. I then began working at its clit, caressing it, coaxing it out. As it began to swell, I changed my hand's motion from caressing to stroking, enlarging it, engorging it into a sensitive rubber shaft.
Its eyes widened as new sensations spread like wildfire across its body, and when a doll shows such powerful emotion I can't help but capture it. I press my hands into its face and spread the rubber further, turning its head into a sweet rubber facsimile.
The other dolls began to work too, spreading the rubber further still.
Soon the maid doll was now just a rubber toy, sealed to a vacbed.
It shuddered as I snapped my fingers again.
It quivered and trembled as the dolls now began to tease and play with its rubber body. Kissing, biting, teasing, pinching, stroking, rubbing.
An avalanche of arousal crashed into the rubber toy's mind.
But we were not done.
The final touch was to completely smooth out its face. A vague humanoid shape. A hint at what used to be there.
Its moans were so changed now, they almost felt like simple vibrations through its rubber facade.
It was so lost in pleasure, every hole and part being used and used and used. It had no idea how much time had passed, how many people and dolls were using it. All of those hazy thoughts parted when it felt something it had been longing for.
My length entering its hole. I pushed deep until my stomach was pushing its rubber cock flat to its tummy. Every rut, every thrust filled its hole and rubbed its cock.
Even though entirely rubber, it could feel a climax beginning to build. Every single atom of itself was growing in pleasure, united in the rubber that bound it together. Every part of it was feeling the climax approach and there was no stopping it. It was just a toy after all now, it had no say on whether or not it was going to cum or how many times. They were just byproducts of being such a good toy for all the dolls and for me.

Family Beach Day
Ingrid Engen x Mapi Leon x Mila x BarcaGirls
The morning sunlight filtered through the curtains of the Engen-Leon household, signaling the start of an exciting day. The aroma of fresh coffee drifted from the kitchen where Ingrid was already pouring a cup for herself and her wife. At the same time, five-year-old Mila bounced around the living room, her energy boundless even so early in the day.
“Mami! Mama! Don’t forget to pack my bucket and Bagheera!” Mila called out, clutching her favorite toy in one hand and trailing their sleek black cat, Bagheera, with the other.
Mapi, wearing her usual confident smile, peeked her head out of the bedroom where she was finishing her checklist. “Mila, your bucket’s already in the car. But Bagheera’s staying home today, cariño. The beach is too hot for her.”
Mila frowned, kneeling down to pet the cat. “But she loves the sun. She naps in it all the time!”
Ingrid joined them, crouching to Mila’s level with a patient smile. “I know, sweetheart, but the beach is different. There’s no cool shade like at home, and it’s not safe for her. She’ll be much happier staying here where it’s nice and cool.”
Mila hesitated, glancing between her mothers and Bagheera, before finally sighing dramatically. “Okay. But I’ll tell her all about the beach later.” She gave the cat a big kiss on the head and whispered, “Stay cool, Bagheera.”
---
With the car packed to the brim, they set off toward the coast. Mapi had prepared everything they might need for their beach day: umbrellas, towels, coolers, snacks, sunscreen, toys, even a little portable fan, just in case. Ingrid glanced back at their loaded car, a mix of awe and amusement in her expression. “You really thought of everything, didn’t you?”
Mapi shrugged, grinning. “What can I say? I’m a professional.”
---
When they arrived at the beach, Mila’s eyes lit up. She clambered out of the car as soon as Ingrid unbuckled her seatbelt, running ahead toward the sparkling ocean. “Mila! Wait for us!” Mapi called, hurrying to unload their gear.
It took some time, but Mapi managed to set up a perfect little spot on the sand. She planted a large umbrella into the ground, spread out their blanket, and arranged their chairs and cooler. Ingrid watched her with an appreciative smile. “You really are amazing,” she murmured, earning a proud grin from her wife.
Meanwhile, Mila was practically vibrating with excitement. “Mama, can we go to the water now? Please?”
Ingrid gently guided her back under the umbrella. “Soon, but first, sunscreen.” Mila groaned, but Ingrid sat her down and started applying sunscreen to her arms, legs, and face. Mila squirmed the entire time. “It’s cold!” she whined.
“I know, but you don’t want a sunburn, do you?” Ingrid said patiently, finishing up and helping her into a sun-protection shirt. A wide-brimmed hat and tiny sunglasses completed the look. Mila pouted but couldn’t hide how cute she looked.
With Mila protected, Mapi took her down to the water. Hand in hand, they waded along the shore, searching for seashells. Mila squealed every time she found one, her tiny hands clutching her growing collection. They returned to Ingrid, who was lying on the blanket soaking up the sun, and Mila proudly displayed her treasures.
“These are beautiful,” Ingrid said, examining each shell with exaggerated awe, making Mila giggle.
---
For the next hour, Mapi and Mila built a sandcastle together. Mila was intensely focused, patting and shaping the sand with determination. Mapi couldn’t help but admire her daughter’s dedication, even when the wind knocked part of their castle down, prompting Mila to start over with a defiant huff. Ingrid watched from her spot under the umbrella, smiling softly at the scene before her.
The tranquility of the moment was broken by Mila’s sudden excited shout. “Esmee! Kika! Frido!” She jumped up, running toward the trio of Barcelona players approaching their spot. Frido scooped her up in a big hug.
“Mila, you’re so grown up!” Frido teased, spinning her around.
Mila giggled, looking around. “Where’s Lexi?”
“She’s coming later,” Ingrid said as she joined them to greet the girls. Mila nodded, her disappointment short-lived as she grabbed Kika’s hand. “Let’s go in the water!”
After getting Ingrid’s approval, Kika lifted Mila into her arms and ran toward the waves, Mapi and Esmee close behind. “Wait for us!” Mapi yelled, laughing as she chased them.
The group splashed and played in the water, Mila shrieking with laughter as Esmee lifted her onto her shoulders. Mapi took her chance to dunk Kika under the waves, earning loud protests and more laughter. Kika splashed water at everyone, and soon all four were soaked and breathless from laughter.
---
Back on the beach, Ingrid and Frido sat under the umbrella, watching the chaos unfold. “She’s having the time of her life,” Frido said with a grin.
“She is,” Ingrid agreed, her smile full of warmth.
When Alexia finally arrived, Mila spotted her immediately. “Lexi!” she cried, holding her arms out as the group in the water turned to see Alexia waving from the shore.
Mila practically leapt out of Esmee’s arms, running across the sand into Alexia’s embrace. “You’re here!” she said, burying her face in Alexia’s shoulder.
“I wouldn’t miss it,” Alexia said, kissing her head. “Did you have fun in the water?”
Mila nodded enthusiastically. “Now we’re playing football!” She grabbed the small ball Mapi had brought, pulling Alexia along with her.
---
The impromptu beach football match was a mix of skill and hilarity. Mila’s team, with Frido and Esmee, took an early lead, while Alexia, Kika, and Mapi struggled to keep up. At one point, Esmee and Kika collided and fell into the sand, sending Mila into fits of giggles. “You’re supposed to run to the goal, not fall!” she said, climbing onto Esmee to emphasize her point.
In the end, Mila’s team won, and she ran back to her mother, her face glowing with pride. “We beat Lexi and Kika!” she announced triumphantly.
Alexia crossed her arms with a mock pout. “They cheated.”
Mila climbed into her lap, patting her cheek. “It’s okay, Lexi. You’re still the best player in the world.”
Alexia grinned, hugging her tightly. “You’re too sweet, Mila.”
As the sun began to set, the group gathered together, sharing snacks and laughter. Mila curled up in Ingrid’s lap, her energy finally waning. “This was the best day ever,” she murmured sleepily.
Mapi and Ingrid exchanged a tender look, their hands intertwining as they watched their little family. No matter where life took them, moments like this were what truly mattered.

Buddie Drabble just because!
Started writing this to fill a prompt and it took on a life of its own, so…here’s a drabble for no reason other than I wanted to write it.
—
Kissing Buck in his Jeep at a Raising Cane’s drive-thru at two in the morning wasn’t exactly the way he had planned on kissing him for the first time, but Eddie wouldn’t change it given the chance.
They’d spent the day hitting thrift stores up the coast in search of a first-edition book by an author Buck was currently fixated on. Neither of them had realised just how far up the coast they’d ended up until it hit eight o’clock and Buck had punched in Eddie’s address to head home. Five hours if they took the highway, four and a half if they bent the speed limits a little. Because it was the end of a holiday weekend they hit traffic just outside of Fresno, adding at least an extra god knows how many hours to their trip.
Eddie had dozed off at some point to the sound of Buck tapping his fingers on the steering wheel along to his playlist of nineties alternative songs. He wakes as Buck finishes ordering their food in the drive-thru, rubbing his gritty eyes with closed fists.
“That’ll be twenty-five even,” comes the exhausted voice of the cashier. “Please drive to the next window.”
“Thank-you!” Buck says cheerfully. Eddie doesn’t know how he’s still so upbeat, given they’d left Eddie’s place at six that morning. Buck notices Eddie is awake and flashes him a soft smile that makes Eddie’s stomach somersault in a way he’s become quite accustomed to.
“Where are we?” Eddie yawns. “Aside from the obvious.”
“Bakersfield,” Buck answers quietly as he pays the cashier and pulls forward to the next window. “Felt like my stomach was starting to eat itself, figured you’d be hungry too.”
“Famished,” Eddie replies, taking the food Buck hands him. Opening the bag he finds exactly what he would have ordered for himself had he been awake. He stares at the food, unblinking as he turns to look at Buck (who has pulled in to a parking space so they can eat).
“What? Did I order the wrong thing?” Buck asks, eyebrows creasing in concern. “No pickles, extra bread and extra sauce. Right?”
“No, that’s - this is exactly right,” Eddie croaks. “Buck, the last time we ate Raising Cane’s together was two years ago. You seriously remembered my order?”
“I remember everything about you,” Buck murmurs softly and that’s all that Eddie needs before he’s leaning over the console and kissing Buck like he’s the answer to all of Eddie’s questions. Which he is, he’ll have you know. Buck makes a muffled surprised noise against Eddie’s lips before he’s kissing him back enthusiastically, fisting a hand in the front of Eddie’s shirt. Dreams by The Cranberries starts drifting through the car speakers and Eddie has to pull back to laugh.
“Your stupid fucking playlist,” he huffs in amusement, forehead pressed against Buck’s.
“What’s wrong with it? This is a great song!” Buck argues indignantly, bringing one hand up to rest on the back of Eddie’s neck.
“It’s perfect,” Eddie sighs.
“You’re perfect,” Buck mutters, which is total bullshit but Eddie will allow it.
“I love you,” Eddie murmurs, pressing a soft kiss to Buck’s lips.
“I love you more,” Buck grins.
“Not a competition, Buck,” Eddie snorts, because if it were Eddie would win hands down.
“You’re just saying that because you know you’d lose if it was,” Buck teases, kissing Eddie again. Eddie lets him have this one too, because he has Buck. He doesn’t need much else.

Polar Frights
ignore this is a few minutes late, ignore this is a few minutes late-
agh, anywho, had a lot of fun with this, i saw the prompt and kknew immeditately what i wanted to write. It also tied in with something i've been wanting to do for ages, so it all worked out!
So, here's a little something for @wyervan's Yuletide au! I fell in love with them and their designs the moment I saw them and have been itching to write something for ages now (hi it's me the 'not santa' anon from a literal month ago lol). Hope you all enjoy, and if you see this wyervan, hope i did your boys justice ^^
Word Count: 1474
Words used: frigid, polar, caverns, frostbitten from @divinit3a's cafe prompts
Frigid.
That would best describe the weather currently, as you traverse through the snow. The wind whips around you, cutting against the exposed skin of your face. Your eyes sting with tears, but you keep pushing forward, footfalls heavy as you move across the landscape.
You'd rather be anywhere but here right now, the howling of the wind reminding you of that as you move. But, you weren't going to stop now. You'd come too far to turn back now, you weren't going to let it be in vein.
You know what you saw, you were sure of it. Even if everyone else would call you crazy if you tried to explain, you know what you witnessed last night.
You'd been worried about her, the blacksmith's daughter, Opal. You'd seen less and less of her since her father had caught on to you slipping her meals, playing games, and so on. You'd been so careful, but it hadn't been enough obviously.
When you realized it had been days since you'd laid eyes on her it was late while lying in bed. It'd been haunting you, and so you decided the only course of action was to simply go and check. Sure you didn't know how, but you argued that you'd figured it out during your half-awake stumbling to their home.
So when you turn the corner and happen to peer up onto the roof, spot a pair a of glowing red eyes upon a hulking form, well, you weren't prepared for that, to say the least. The beast doesn't notice you, not at first. Instead, it's focus is on a certain bedroom window, one you knew belonged to Opal, and the hair on your skin stands up.
You want to say something, do anything as it takes a clawed hand and creaks open the window. But with it's large, curled horns and cloven hooves, you very much fear you're seeing the devil himself. Your frozen in your fear, unable to act as the monster ducks inside momentarily and back out with the sleeping girl in his arms.
Your body finally responds then, in the worst way. You let out a small gasp, barely a whisper, but you still slap your hand over your mouth.
Somehow, it heard, whipping to look in your direction. You once again stand motionless, eyes locked on that piercing crimson gaze. It makes a noise, a mix between a huff and a growl, eyes narrowing to small slits. Then, Opal stirs, and you both shift your focus to her.
She settles again, and with a final look to the, the beast is gone. It was so quick you're still not certain if it leaped off into the darkness, or just vanished into thin air.
Regardless, you know what happened was real, at least in some part, as the blacksmith casually mentioned his daughter as 'under the weather' the very next morning. A quick search of his home by the other villagers however proved otherwise. And as soon as you heard the news, you knew what you had to do.
You remember the stories you'd heard as a child. Children who misbehaved were punished for their wrongdoings, snatched up by the likes of a demon as penance. But you knew with all your heart that Opal was nothing of the sorts.
A mistake, it had to be. One you had to make right. Or else.
You only had a vague idea of where you were going, there wasn't much out in this polar wasteland besides the trees and snow, but you knew the legend. If you traveled far enough, to the point your feet ached and your body was near ridden with frostbite, until you were at your absolute limit and felt the strongest desire to turn back, there would be something. What? You weren't certain. You don't think anyone was.
As you come across another open clearing, more nothingness in your sight, your heart begins to sink a bit. With the current state you’re in, you need to find shelter soon. Despite your layers and extra precautions, you were starting to feel the chill sink in, more than usual that is.
Just as you stop to plan what to do next, there's a sound above you of... something shouting?
You dare to glance up.
Standing out against the stark white sky is a sleigh of bronze. Even from down here you can take note of all the intricacies of the metalwork, but you can't even focus on that when you realize attached to the sleigh are nine massive reindeer. They too gleam like the bronze, but with the steam emitting from the, along with how they effortlessly glide through the sky, it seems impossible to consider them as machine. Their movements far too alive.
If that wasn't enough, another shout interrupts your baffled thoughts. As the sleigh passes overhead, you finally take note of its driver. Humanoid, but much like the rest of the company, he's also a machine of some sort. An automaton, you realize. Spikes encircled his head, giving the impression of a sun. His red fur coat seems unnecessary to you, but you're far past the point of questioning something so, simple, at this point.
You rush out into the field to get a better view as it disappears off into the distance, only to realize that after a certain point, the sleigh stops getting further away. It's turning around, coming back.
And seemingly, is heading straight for you.
You panic, suddenly gaining a burst of energy to keep moving. You don't know what that thing wants with you, but you're not sticking around long enough to find out.
As you cross the field you hear more yelling from behind you, he's trying to speak to you, you realize. But with the wind and your own fear blocking out your senses, you can't even begin to comprehend what he might be saying.
As you make it to the opposite side, you see the mouth of a massive cave and not having many other options, decide to head straight for it.
Once you make it inside, you keep going, your feet moving of their own volition as you travel further and further into the dark. It's cold, but not as cold as outside. You only stop moving when you physically collapse to the ground, exhausted.
Taking deep breaths, you feel around in the darkness for the cave wall, crawling over and laying back against it as you try and catch your breath.
Despite the sprint you just completed, the cold starts to seep in again immediately. You shiver, teeth chattering as you huddle your arms against yourself. You have no way to make a fire, it occurs to you. You'd been in such a rush that besides bundling up and packing a small amount of food, you'd forgotten to gather the supplies for it.
Interestingly, either because of hypothermia overtaking your now—likely—frostbitten body, or of an unexplainable natural phenomenon, the ground below you is startingly warm. You can't make hide nor hair of it.
You seep it up as much as you can, having nothing else to keep you warm at the moment. The cavern around you is near silent, you can just make out the wind blowing outside.
So when you hear the clack, clack, clack, of steps against the ground, you tense.
You can't see a thing, only able to curl in on yourself and pray it's someone friendly. Though given where you are, you doubt that.
The steps end just in front of you, a huff of hot air blows down on you after a moment, followed by a low chuckle.
You whimper, not daring to look up.
A low voice echoes all around you. "Persistent, aren't you?"
Something compels you to speak up, despite your terror.
"Have, have to be. Need to, to find her, make sure she's okay." Your teeth clack as you tilt your head up, meeting the gaze you were almost expecting. "Wouldn't be able to live with myself if I didn't."
Despite the darkness, you can pick up on the surprise in the beast's eyes. Then, you hear a slight jingling noise as he nods once. He extends a clawed hand down to you.
"Come along then, it'll do her no good to see you freeze."
You stare at the offering, uncertain.
A snort. "We don't have all day, kid. It's only a matter of time before you get frostbite. And I'd rather not hear him complain about that."
"O-okay." You take his hand, feeling the warmth even through your glove.
He pulls you into a stand, and starts to walk deeper into the cavern. You don't know where you're going, but you suppose you don't have much a choice.
You just hope you’ll end up somewhere warm.
Should have definitely started this sooner but alas, got busy. BUT, at least i finished it, and i like how it turned out :) Excited to keep these up for the end of the month, but for now, thanks for reading!

✧ 5 journaling prompts for clarity✧
hey lovelies! 🎀✨
journaling has this magical way of helping us untangle our thoughts and bring clarity to what’s swirling in our minds. if you’re feeling a little stuck, overwhelmed, or just in need of some dreamy self-reflection, here are 5 journaling prompts for clarity that will have you glowing from the inside out. i personally use these prompts for myself, and they really help. ✧
1. what’s been on my mind lately?
this is your chance to let it all out. what’s taking up space in your brain? maybe it’s a project you’re procrastinating, a dream you can’t stop thinking about, or even a random convo that’s stuck with you. (pro tip: don’t filter yourself, this is just for you.) writing it all down can help you figure out what’s truly important and what you’re ready to let go of.
2. what are my biggest goals right now?
your goals are like your north star, they guide you towards your dream life. write them out, even if they feel or sound a little big or scary! even if it’s acing that exam, starting a new hobby, or creating a routine that feels amazing, this is the moment to get super clear about what you want. and remember, your goals don’t have to be perfect, they just need to feel right for you.
3. what’s holding me back?
okay, time for a little tough love (but in the gentlest, coziest way). what’s standing between you and your goals? is it fear? a lack of time? self-doubt? be honest with yourself, and remember: identifying the blocks is the first step to moving past them. oh, and don’t forget to sprinkle in some compassion. everyone has things they’re working through.
4. what makes me happiest?
this one is a total vibe booster. think about the little (and big) things that light you up. could it be your morning coffee ritual? late-night convos with your bestie? the feeling of finishing a good book? write it all down, and let it remind you that joy is all around you, waiting to be noticed. ✨
5. what does my dream life look like?
now for the fun part. close your eyes and picture your ideal life. what does it feel like? what are you doing? who are you with? where are you living? let yourself dream as big as you want here. (pro tip: the more detailed, the better.) this is the blueprint for your glow-up.
bonus tips:
make your journaling session feel special: cozy blankets, soft music, and your favorite pen.
don’t stress about perfect grammar or spelling. this is just for you!
revisit your answers every so often. you’ll be amazed at how much clarity and progress you’ll see.
xoxo, mindy <3

꩜ .ᐟ Shadow work prompts + benefits ༄.°
For shifting, pure consciousness and manifesting
"You need to look within, not out, for all the answers you seek are already within you"
ଳ benefits ଳ shifting ଳ void state ଳ manifesting ଳ bonus prompts
ଳ Benefits ⋆˚࿔
Engaging with these shadow work prompts is incredibly beneficial because it allows you to confront and integrate your shadow self—the hidden, suppressed aspects of your psyche that influence your thoughts, emotions, and actions. Your shadow self is not your enemy; it is a part of you that holds valuable lessons and insights.
By acknowledging and embracing your shadow self, you open the door to profound personal growth and healing. This process is not limited to manifesting, shifting, or inducing pure consciousness—it is a way of connecting with the suppressed parts of yourself, including those you may feel ashamed of or try to avoid.
By learning more about your shadow self, you can uncover hidden patterns, fears, and strengths that impact not only your current goals but other areas of your life. It allows you to move forward with greater self-awareness, emotional balance, and alignment with your true potential.
ଳ Shadow Work Prompts for Shifting ⋆˚࿔
What limiting beliefs do I hold about shifting? Where did these beliefs come from?
Do I truly believe that shifting is possible for me? Why or why not?
What fears arise when I think about successfully shifting?
Am I afraid of leaving my current reality behind? Why?
Do I feel deserving of living in my desired reality? If not, what makes me feel unworthy?
Are there any experiences or relationships in my current reality that make me hesitant to shift?
How do I feel about my current reality? What emotions or situations am I trying to escape?
Do I feel pressure to shift quickly? Why do I feel this urgency, and how can I be more patient with myself?
What does my desired reality symbolize for me? Does it represent freedom, happiness, love, or something else?
How would I describe my relationship with control when it comes to shifting? Am I trying to force the process?
ଳ Shadow Work Prompts for the Void State ⋆˚࿔
What do I believe about the void state? Do I see it as easy or difficult to access? Why?
What emotions come up when I think about entering the void state (e.g., fear, excitement, doubt)?
Am I afraid of the stillness or emptiness of the void? If so, what does it represent to me?
What would happen if I fully let go of control and surrendered to the void?
Do I trust myself to enter and utilize the void state effectively? Why or why not?
How do I perceive the idea of being alone with my thoughts in the void?
What fears or doubts arise when I think about my ability to manifest from the void?
Am I approaching the void state with an attitude of trust, or am I overcomplicating it?
Have I been comparing my void state journey to others’? How has this affected me?
What would I gain by fully embracing the void state? What would I lose?
ଳ Shadow Work Prompts for Self-Concept as a Master Manifester ⋆˚࿔
What do I believe about my ability to manifest anything I desire?
Do I see myself as powerful and capable, or do I doubt my abilities? Why?
What past experiences have shaped my beliefs about manifestation?
Are there times when I felt my manifestations failed? How did I interpret those experiences?
Do I fear my own power as a manifester? If so, what scares me about it?
What does being a "master manifester" mean to me? Does it feel achievable?
How do I handle setbacks or delays in the manifestation process?
Do I believe in instant manifestation? If not, why?
How do I respond when things I manifest show up in unexpected ways?
What blocks do I feel in my manifestation practice, and how can I start dissolving them?
Do I feel worthy of having my desires fulfilled? Why or why not?
What stories have I told myself about why certain things haven’t manifested yet?
How do I speak to myself about my manifesting abilities?
Am I placing too much focus on the "how" and not enough on the "what" and "why"?
If I fully trusted my ability to manifest, how would my life change?
ଳ Bonus Prompts: For your Journey ⋆˚࿔
How can I show gratitude for my progress so far, even if I haven’t reached my goal yet?
What lessons have my challenges with shifting, the void state, or manifestation taught me?
How can I balance self-discipline with self-compassion in my practice?
What would it feel like to fully embody the version of myself who has already succeeded?
How can I let go of resistance and flow with the process instead of forcing outcomes?

Slashers x reader
Prompt: Reader leaves and comes back.
Featuring: Bo Sinclair, Vincent Sinclair, Jacob goodnight, bubba sawyer, Michael Myers, Brahms heelshire
Warning: angst, fluff;
Bo Sinclair
You left him, you had an argument and you fucking left him.
He didn’t expect you to, you threatened to do it neatly every time you fought but didn’t. So why would you do it now.
He hates how much he misses you, god when he found out you left everyone got caught in the crossfire.
Yelling at his siblings for not watching you better, even physically fighting them. Punching holes in the wall, breaking things, beer.
To randomly sitting his bed late at night with you on his mind, calling himself weak because of he cried for you, calling himself stupid for even arguing with you.
Every picture of you had been cracked and hidden, until when he got alone all he could do is look at it and down another bottle.
Sometimes accidentally waking up with things to tell you, drunk and dizzy just wanting to rest his head in your lap.
When you came back god he tried to hide it, he missed you yet still yelling at you about you leaving.
“You fucking left me”
“I know, but I’m here now aren’t I?”
Only to wrap you up into his arms and saying sorry, of course you talked it out. Helped him patch the holes and damage in the house.
Communicating more every time he felt angry, just coming to you and hugging you. Chuckling in your neck while being cocky.
“Knew you couldn’t stay away from me.”
He was more protective now, you could never go out the house after an argument without him trailing behind you. Could never leave the house for a walk unless you told him you were and even then he didn’t want you to go.
He didn’t even go to bed on his own time now, every time you went to bed he went to bed, if he was sleepy and you weren’t he was either gonna make you go to bed or stay up until you dropped.
You couldn’t go anywhere, you wanted to go to the bathroom, he was going to the bathroom too. You wanted to shower? There’s room for two.
Need a breath of fresh air? That’s good he needs a smoke break.
If he had to do anything he’d make it quick and snappy just to return to you.
You were never ever going to be let out of his sight again.
-
Jacob goodnight
When he woke up and went to apologize you were gone.
He searched every corner for you.
He destroyed everything, yelling, crying, praying for you to come back to him.
Telling his mom about how much he loved you. Crying and laying in her arms because he couldn’t lay in yours anymore.
Pictures of you were always either in his hand or in his pocket he just couldn’t let go. He was more aggressive, especially towards females.
Sometimes during a chase he’d accidentally yell your name, or call them your name.
Killing them brutally, pretending his punishing you for leaving him.
Though when you came back it was the exact opposite.
He ran towards you, crying and wailing about how much he missed you, how sorry he was and that he’d never yell again.
Every time you argued now he just pouted or stormed out to control his anger, only to cool down and lie down with you.
Just like with Bo, you weren’t going anywhere. You had to use the bathroom? He will hold your hand while you pee.
Gotta shower? He’ll hold your hand outside of the curtain.
If he has to use the bathroom? Well you’re coming with there’s no saying no he’ll toss you over his shoulder while he pees.
He has to shower? Please sit on the toilet top and talk to him.
A big baby, if you don’t go to sleep when he goes to sleep he’ll beg you to and you won’t hear the end of it until you do.
You have to go anywhere.
“Where are you going?”
With the most serious and protective voice.
It’s unlikely you two ever leave the bed, he always wants to be stuck under your skin just being close to you.
Gathering your warmth.
Anytime you try to he’ll pull you right down or just go with you even if he’s sleepy.
-
Vincent Sinclair
He will never get over it, you two rarely argued. He didn’t expect you to leave when you did.
Absolutely distraught, he was throwing things, breaking his own art.
He kept getting angry at himself because he couldn’t take his mind off of you, kept painting you so he wouldn’t forget what you looked like.
Making small figurines just to hold your body again.
Rarely left his basement now, he couldn’t make anything else other than you. Stuck with an art block, was more aggressive towards his brothers.
Was snappy, agitated.
Oh and the victims got the worst of it, sometimes he didn’t even bother to keep them alive during the process anymore.
Was no longer taking any shit, Bo started something? Now he’s gotta finish it.
His hygiene became poor, rotting in bed or just sculpting you. Writing his silly little poems about you.
He thought he’d be stuck in a hole forever.
So when you came back he ran to you. Shocked to ever see your face again, though his words were slurred you could understand every word.
“I just needed some space Vince, that’s all.”
He understood despite being upset about it, kept a close eye on you and Bo did do despite how much his brother ridiculed him for being upset about a girl he didn’t want to see his brother that depressed again.
He was over you like a looming shadow, you were rarely allowed to leave the basement now.
Sleeping in the bed in the corner.
He timed your showers, checking in on you any time you were minutes past your usual time.
You had a routine now, you ate at the same time, slept at the same time, sometimes even used the bathroom at the same time.
It’s not that he forced you to, more like forced himself to, fixing his everyday life to your time.
Yeah you still argued but that was rarely, and even then soon after he was quick to communicate with you to the best of his ability.
His room was full of paintings and sculptures of you, he wasn’t ashamed he didn’t have to hide it. He wanted you to see how much you meant to him.
Anytime Bo tried to pull you into an argument Vincent was quick to defend and pull you out of it.
He was more defensive than anything.
You broke something? Thats okay everyone makes accidents.
Of course he’ll initially get mad but it won’t last long.
Every time you got into an argument the relationship got healthier.
-
Bubba sawyer
You left because of his family, he kept getting manipulated over and over again.
He didn’t want to kill and it was obvious but he was so full of fear of disappointing his family and not being able to eat.
When you left he cried to his momma’ could barely do any work without thinking about you.
I mean the poor guy threw a tantrum because of how much he missed you, almost attacking Hoyt anytime he belittled him for being upset about it.
Poor boys very first heartbreak.
Anytime he thought about it he went crying to his momma, all snot faced and swollen. Of course he broke things, everything in the basement had been destroyed.
He couldn’t focus on any task, nearly every job had been failed.
He let nearly every victim go, not on purpose but he couldn’t even grasp the thought of living without you.
And god it was even worse if they bared resemblance to you, he froze up. Stuck like stone, well at least that was until he realized it was you.
He dropped everything and ran in your arms, wailing and spinning you in circles.
Quick to show you off and that you’d returned.
“Sorry mama’ I just needed some time.”
Of course she understood, both of you reconciled in her.
He never let you go anywhere, he’ll sit on the toilet top and wait as you shower, sit on the floor as you use the bathroom.
Brush his teeth when you brush yours, the only time you separate is when he has to do something and even then he doesn’t really want to comply.
If anyone tries to start anything with you he’s there, he won’t say or do anything but he’ll sling you over his shoulder and carry you away.
Arguing?
He’s apologizing before it started. Poor boy whines every time you two argue always ending with his head in your lap.
Just know anytime you two almost argued he was quick to apologized and it was a rare occurrence ever since then.
-
Micheal Myers
Well this is a little different, when you left it didn’t last long. You hardly got two blocks away before he grabbed you and dragged you back home.
Locked you inside a room only letting you out when you’ve learned your lessons.
Long story short, even if you escaped him he’d be waiting for you.
Longing, more aggressive and irrational.
He no longer only killed in October, everyone was dying in the summer, winter, spring.
And when you came back, it eventually calmed down. Of course he was angry and aggressive towards you but he backhand slightly softer after realizing how emotional you were.
He was more close with you, sometimes randomly appearing by you with his back on yours.
His hand slowly touching yours as he stood near.
More protective, you couldn’t go out without reassuring him you’d be back. Any man that flirted with you was dead from now and on.
Even though it was like that before.
-
Brahms Heelshire
You had left because he snapped about the rules, he had killed your ex and the mailman.
He was so jealous he became out of control.
The house was trashed, everything was thrown around.
With his parents dead and only him and him alone he drove himself insane. In bed crying, wailing about how much he missed you.
He didn’t even know how technology worked to book another baby sitter, and even if he did it just wouldn’t be the same.
He swore he’d never forgive you, that if you were to come back he’d rip your throat out.
Despite thinking that he still had a body pillow of you, wrapped in your clothes with some of your hair a photo of you on its face.
The isolation being too much to bare, talking to it, holding it, walking around with it.
When you came back he was angry livid you left, but he couldn’t help but run up to you and ponder you with questions.
He was yelling but calmed down soon later, at least you were here.
“Brahms I just, I needed space.”
He didn’t understand, he didn’t care. He needed you, he wanted you.
“You left me!”
Now you were stuck in his little basement as he cuddled you, it felt nearly suffocating as every time you tried to move an inch his grip just got tighter.
He didn’t explain the body pillow but quickly kicked it off the bed to make room for you.
Sometimes he wouldn’t shower just to stay with you, you wanted to shower? He’s seen you naked before go right ahead.
Need to poo? He’s lived in walls his whole life there’s no smell he can’t handle.
You weren’t going anywhere, and no one was coming close to you.

A/N: Trying to let myself just enjoy wirting and not overthink it all too much, so I hope you enjoy this chapter. It's a little bit of filler but I thought it was cute and it was fun to write. And yes, I know, it took forever to get posted. I had a lot going on, and I still may not be posting super frequently but to those of you who love this series so far, rest assured: I will still post, even if it's slow.
Any and all mistakes are my own as this chapter is unbeta'd, I did all my own editing/proofreading for this.

Transportation had really come a long way from what he'd been so used to when he was younger. There were planes that's the air of the skies with their quiet rumblings, helicopters that you could hear coming long before they appeared, and cars. Cars were so different these days, he'd gotten used to them but it just wasn't the same. Some part of him still couldn't wrap his mind around the concept of phones being able to connect to the car. And that was just one of many new upgrades.
But Bucky didn't take his trip by air, customs were a bitch to get through on a normal day let alone when he needed to bring weapons with him. He didn't take a train either, because–well. He'd had an uneasy feeling with them ever since 1944 when he fell down the mountainside. So, instead he went by cross-country bus, and kept to himself in his seat once he got on and found one near the back where it was mostly empty. Being perfectly on time, if not a little early, there were a fewhandfuls people that he watched enter in the time that he waited for the bus to start moving. His watchful eye kept them in sight here and there but for the most part, he simply pulled his dark red baseball cap down a little lower and looked out the window to help hide his face. He could only hope that when one passenger entered with not one, not two; but three small children, that they wouldn't be very loud.
Oh how very wrong he had been. Not even 20 minutes into the trip and two of the rugrats were already whining and fighting with each other. Bucky could only stare at them in distaste as he blinked at the sight, wondering how in the world such tiny things could make so much noise. Granted, he'd never really had to deal with children, not like this anyway. And they couldn't have been any older than 3 or 5, each of them. The oldest of the three seemed to be perfectly fine and well-occupied, thank heavens but that didn't make it any more desirable
Sucking a deep breath in, Bucky suppressed the urge to ask the clearly struggling mother to turn off the screeching, and pulled out a book from his day-pack, beginning to flip through it to find his spot. Maybe if he just pretended they weren't there, they would disappear from his mind.
Not likely, but the effort was still made as he focused on the pages of the small paperback copy of The Hobbit he'd brought with him. Glancing up when it once again wasn't working well, he was caught by surprise when suddenly the older child was standing right there by his seat row, and admittedly he tensed in reaction as a sort of mini-flinch. She hadn't said a word, he hadn't even heard her walking over. But there she was, standing with her stuffed bunny in her arms, simply staring at him while he did the same. Both were quiet for a long moment before Bucky glanced up the way towards where her mother sat with her brothers, clearing his throat. "Can I…help you?" He asked a bit awkwardly as he brought his furrowed-brow gaze back to the little girl. Once more, she didn't really say anything, instead just looking him over quietly. Then, she climbed herself up into the seat next to his since it was open, and Bucky was starting to wish he'd put one of his bags there. "Hey, look, kid- your mom- ….what are you doing?"
She shrugged as he stumbled his words out, and glanced down at her bunny fiddling with it a little as she got settled in the seat. "Too loud." Her answer came simply, and while it didn't answer his question completely, he definitely understood the feeling.
Sighing slightly, he glanced towards her troubled mother once more, and then back to bunny-girl. "...Alright, what's your name kid?"
"Mandy." She replied quietly, glancing up at him a moment later with big green eyes. "What's yours mister?"
"Bucky. My name's Bucky." The man paused for a moment then, almost as if debating whether he should send her back to her family yet or not, but she was calm and quiet, and wasn't harming anything. And it wasn't like he was going to let anything happen to a little kid, so he dismissed the idea for now and instead went back to his book.
It was a minute or so later that he felt the little girl–Mandy, he reminded himself silently–leaning over the arm rest between them slightly to see what he was reading. Brows knitting once again, Bucky glanced from the pages to the young girl, whose curly pigtails somewhat bounced in the way of his view of the words. His mouth parted a fraction, ready to let something slip off his tongue to tell her to sit back and let him read. But nothing came. He didn't know how to tell the girl to get out of his space without, well… being a dick. This was a *child* it would have been different had it been an adult. So instead he simply blinked at her in silence as he debated how to handle it.
Mandy seemed to sense he was looking at her though, because then she met his gaze and inched back into place in her seat, curling around her stuffed, yellow bunny, the apology clear in her demeanor. "I just wanted to see your story." She muttered out, albeit the words likely came out a tad muffled because her bunny's head was pressed against her mouth slightly.
Kids. There was something about them that just- got to him. Admittedly, maybe some part of him had a soft spot. One that he'd probably always had, an instinct he'd never been able to shake. And maybe there was something about that moment that reminded him of the slightly younger girl that he'd been on his way to help, that made him realize he was already traveling across the states to investigate the disappearance of some kid's mother. A small gesture really couldn't hurt him. He may not have said anything, but he did nod, and as he brought his crisp blue hues back to the book in his hands, he started reading the words out to her, quietly but still loud enough to be heard against her brothers' tantrums.
Whatever she'd been expecting, Mandy seemed delightfully surprised when he began reading to her, and her eyes lit up as she looked from him to the book, leaning over once again but this time while staying back more in her seat meaning her head rested against his arm lightly, so that he could still see but she couldn't help wanting to peek. There was something about how trusting she was, about how trusting kids often seemed to be, that just genuinely baffled him. Maybe it was because he'd been so jaded for so long that it was just a mind boggling concept to see such innocence. Or maybe it simply was a brilliant anomaly that children lacked the cynicism of their parents and the adults around them, that they saw things grown-ups didn't and thought of things that were unique to them.
Bucky didn't know when the crying and whining had stopped, but eventually the sun went down around them and it was dark in the bus, nothing but the glow-in-the-dark caution stickers and the light of the full moon to let him read the words on the pages. And just as he'd glanced over towards the little girl next to him, seeing that she was well on her way to passing out completely, he heard her mother patter over looking both exhausted and annoyed. "Mandy- for God's sake, you cannot-" only then did the woman seem to register that her daughter was half asleep, not really hearing her mother much and so all that Mandy gave in response was a tired hum as she nuzzled against Bucky's arm a little more.
Well, shit. He may not be experienced with children but he knew enough to know that if he moved she might wake up. And frankly he didn't even know if she'd let him move. Glancing up towards the mother, he offered an apologetic smile. "Didn't mean to scare you…she just kind of walked on over and climbed up. Seemed like you had your hands full so I hope it's okay I kept her busy for you?" He whispered to her, stopping her before she could rage at him–if that was what she'd been about to do, that is. She looked tired, and scared, understandably so. And most of all she looked ashamed that she hadn't even noticed her daughter leave.
"O-oh…thank you, I- I mean, I'm sorry if she caused you any trouble, I just- yeah…those boys…sorry they were so loud, they're in that phase…" she apologized sheepishly in hushed tones of her own, rubbing her palms against the fronts of her jeans as her gaze flicked between her daughter and the quiet stranger of a man. "I passed out and then I…I woke up and she was gone, I'm so sorry sir."
"Not a problem, honestly. She's pretty decent company, let me read in peace with her." Reading that nervousness on the woman’s features, he paused for a moment before shrugging his free shoulder up. "Don't sweat it, I shoulda sent her back…I was going to, believe me but uh. Well, at least now you get a break, right?" He tried to ease her nerves, but then glanced down towards Mandy. "I can carry her back to your seat if you'd like."
He was just so damned kind, she thought. A complete stranger and yet her daughter was clearly safe and well, asleep even and yes, now everything was quiet and she had some time to relax. It didn't stop her mom-dar from going off, but at the very least she'd be a fool to not appreciate his kindness. "No, no it's… it's okay, I don't want to wake her, she's a bit of a light sleeper…just uh, if she wakes up let me know. I'm Erin, by the way…in case that helps." This time it was her turn to offer a kind smile.
"Bucky. Nice to meet you…I'll keep it in mind, hopefully she lets you have a break though." He chuffed an amused breath out his nose.
Doing the same, she shook her head. "Yeah, if only. Thanks, again…I'll let you uh. Read in peace." She teased lightly, taking a hand back through her hair as she went back to her seat before the driver could reprimand her for standing up so long.
Smiling in amusement at that, he watched Erin go back to her sons, and in turn went back to his book after a moment. It was the small things, that made life easier. The small things were what really made things worth it. Sure, saving the world and saving people was big, and it was good. And it was worth it. But sometimes it was moments where he managed to do something more mundane, and helped someone else, that made all the other shit worth it. Because it meant he was still capable of being human.
———
By the time the sun was back up, Bucky rose with it, his eyes slowly opening to the light streaming through the window and he groaned quietly at the crick in his neck from how he'd slept. Running his flesh hand over his face groggily, as he glanced around he noticed that the warmth that had been leaned up against his arm the night day before was no longer there. He would have been concerned, thinking he'd now somehow lost some stranger's child, but he saw the pigtail-bearing girl peeking up over her seat at him a moment later, watching her smile appear once more as she gave him a little wave. Crisis averted. Not like there was anywhere she could really go on a bus, but still.
Despite still being a bit plagued by morning sleepiness, he smiled back and gave the girl a small wave of his own before watching her sink back into her seat properly. Probably at the urging of her mother. His sleepiness didn't last long, though, because soon those boys were back to making noise, but at least it wasn't as much of a headache as yesterday because it was merely them playing and babbling about random things. That was tolerable. And so he relaxed a bit more, rolling out his neck some before he picked up his book again and went on reading.
Somewhere along the way, the lone mother with her trio of children had reached their stop and were gathering their things to leave. It was Mandy who escaped her mother's sight once again to go see the kind man at the back of the bus who had read to her, bunny still in her arms but this time with a warm smile in place. "Hi Mr. Bucky! Mommy said I shouldn't bother you again… but I just wanted to say I liked your story and you're very nice." She didn't give him time to process all of that before she climbed up in the same seat as before, and kissed his cheek for a moment before hearing her mother call her name.
"You're welcome, Mandy. I think your mom needs you though, better get going." He encouraged even as he seemed surprised by her display of affectionate gratitude. The little girl wiggled back down from the seat then, but not without turning to wave at him, walking backwards to do so. "Bye Mr. Bucky!" She rushed the words out before running along to catch up to her mother. Watching her run along, he smiled at her little goodbye, and waved back at her as she went on her way. He wished that woman luck with her undoubtedly trouble-filled journey, honestly. Because he had his own coming up and somehow he felt like she was going to have it harder.
The rest of his ride went on rather uneventful, and when he arrived at his stop it was almost nighttime. But he was all the more closer to getting this job done, so saddling himself up with all his bags, he made his way into town and started heading for the address he'd gotten on the envelope.
