Might as well post this here for posterity, since Youtube has yet to resolve the matter.
A couple of weeks ago, my short film 'Pleasant Inn' got a false copyright strike from an individual named Kazi Zidane Mim. He has been striking any Youtube channel that reacted to my short film in the hopes of uploading his own stolen version titled 'Paradise Hell.'
For comparisons, here is my original short film:
[This is a horror animation and contains flashing lights, so viewer discretion is advised]
vimeo
And here is Kazi Zidane's stolen version:
Kazi Zidane Mim has a history of just flat out stealing.
As an example, this is his 'Bloody Mary graphic novel,' which is actually a manga called 'Ibitsu,' with only the text/dialogue changed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He's literally just selling this on Google Books and Amazon without any push-back.
I also found out that he has a Sketchfab account.
Tumblr media
Why is this important? Because Sketchfab offers a great library of 3D models made by other artists, such as this animated deer by Games in Motion Studios;
Tumblr media
Look familiar?
I'm sure coincidences are possible, tho 🦌
Kazi Zidane even made a bogus IMDB page of my stolen short.
Tumblr media
And to add insult to injury...
Tumblr media
So far, Youtube hasn't done anything about this and I'm tired of waiting. Many channels have received false copyright strikes by Kazi Zidane Mim just for reacting to 'Pleasant Inn' since 2019.

"dude its not that embarassing to rewatch some creepypasta stuff you liked as a teenager" the character i imprinted on like a baby duck at 16 was a demon from new jersey that acts like the humanization of every offspring song and canonically listens to scissor sisters. His favorite color is purple and his favorite pokemon are gengar and haunter. He leaves people notes with emojis on them. He acts like a beetlejuice scare actor at halloween horror nights. His catchphrase is "feeling sassy?" Hes (allegedly) worked with every war criminal throughout history and been every serial killer. even the gay ones. He ate a baby. His animal motif is a rabbit. Hes kind of based off the donnie darko rabbit. He almost exclusively wears merchandise of the quentin tarantino movie death proof. He talks to his cats in a baby voice. He wears a white fedora that makes every video he wears it in feel dated by like 7 years. Hes 5'3. Hes from new jersey. He hacked a girls tumblr blog so he could post about how awesome he is. He added a laugh track over a video of him killing people. He named a chainsaw rex. He torments people by playing frank sinatra at them. His name comes from an animal collective song. His creator drew his "true form" as a giant buff wolf bug anthro. Theres a (semi)canon blog entry where he makes the speakers blare rob zombie before he enters a room, then holds a guy at gunpoint to describe what he did to to him while "making sure to leave in all the cool parts". The guy hes possessing has radioactive blood. He tried for 2 whole minutes to pick up a bottle of ketchup with a grabby hand. Hes kind of suicidal. He can be reasonably compared to pretty much every major tumblr sexyman. His actor has gone on record saying heath ledgers joker inspired his acting choices. His creators were too attached to him to permanently kill him at the end of the series. Sometimes his voice gets distorted and it makes him sound like bill ciphers first year on HRT. Hes basically like my artistic muse. For some fucking reason i associate the song cake by the ocean with him. I firmly believe that if everymanhybrid didn't require a masters degree in creepypasta autism to comprehend, he would've caused more teenage stabbings than the slenderman incident and more kin war tumblr scenarios than nagito komaeda.

Wonderful to once more have Doctor Who episodes with great writing and the most garbage CGI you have ever laid eyes on instead of the other way around. Feels like home

i don’t know quite how to explain this but i think i love Leverage for many of the same reasons i love early ‘80s slashers and cult classics. like, it’s the same vibe of "yes, our production budget is pretty low, yes, this is pulp, we’re aware of that. and by god we’re gonna make the best low budget pulp you’ve ever seen". they’re acutely aware of what their constraints are and aren’t pretending to be anything else, but they’re also putting in so much effort and passion and care. and i particularly love how the Leverage creators/writers use all the stock standard crime drama tropes to their advantage and play with them in very cool ways. they have to get creative with their shooting and sets and props and filming locations, but a lot of time that leads to some really clever or fun stuff (like an episode set at a carnival!). you can see all the seams, but that just endears it to me even more, you know? there’s definitely many high budget, flawless-looking shows and films i love too, but Leverage really has a special place in my heart.

I am full of book woes.
I picked up The Midnight Lie because somehow it ended up in my library tag to check out. It was great, I liked the style a lot and I could clearly see it trending toward a sapphic train wreck ending, but it was a train wreck that made sense and was satisfying.
After the cliffhanger ending it was clear there’s another book to potentially straighten it all out. Turns out my library doesn’t have that one though. So I get to wait until I have spending money in a few weeks and buy it if I want to know what happens.
Then I got my hold for Clockwork Boys and devoured it but it’s four weeks out for the follow up to that one. Worried I’ll lose my momentum and forget details in the interim.
Book club is embarking on The Ruthless Lady’s Guide to Wizardry next which I’m excited to reread but frustrated that I can’t finish either of the duologies I just read.
