A Particularly Funny Ride on Nitro
I've been on Nitro a grand total of two times thus far (and unfortunately what you see above is the only photo I have of it as of right now). But even amidst everything I've been on, from Pantheon to Twisted Timbers, this thing is still such a grand slam. It's something I always put my hands up on, from start to finish. But during my second ride on Nitro this past summer, in which I went by myself, I was sitting in the same row as these 2 guys. I sat in the center-left, while they occupied the center and far-right seats. Initially I didn't pay much attention to them, but as the ops prepared to send us out of the station, their convos caught my attention. One of them said to the other as the ops checked our restraints "Bro this does NOT feel safe." Now just to make it clear, rollercoasters, especially modern ones, are arguably safer than airplanes. And Nitro was manufactured by Bolliger and Mabillard (B&M) , who are known in the industry and public for their efficiency, safety and fail-safes. But hey, for 2 scared guys, a big coaster is a big coaster, and I can't change that.
Our train pulled out of the station and began to climb the chain lift. I was growing more and more excited as I do, but those 2 were not exactly having the best time. Both of them were going "ooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit" throughout the climb, and although I was keeping my eyes on the road, I'm sure they were trying not to look down and only make their panic worse. I'll link a POV of Nitro below, so you can get an idea as to how big its lift hill is:
youtube
So yeah, pretty long climb. We finally crested the hill, I raised my arms, and they started screaming. They weren't high-pitched screams or anything, more so a constant "OHMYGODOHSHITOHFUCKOHSHITOHMYGODOHMYGODOHFUCK-". Plus, I'm fairly certain they were deciding what was better throughout the ride: holding onto the restraints for dear life, or flailing their arms in an attempt to fly away from the coaster. Now, I'm the kinda girl who laughs on a coaster, with the occasional woo! thrown in. And it's hard to say when the shift occured, perhaps on the hammerhead turn back to the park, but my laughter eventually turned from "oh my god this is so fun" to "oh my god these boys are going apeshit." I wasn't looking at them or anything, but every so often I would see a hand flailing around to my right. And it wasn't like their screams were being muffled by anything; eeeeeeeeveryone in the train could hear them.
Once we hit the final brake run, I was still laughing hysterically. I looked to my right, and they looked like they'd seen a ghost. They were limp in their seats and almost hyperventilating. I tried to calm down as much as I could, and asked them if they were okay. Their response?
"Blgrhub" I think they were okay.
They quickly vanished after I left the station, and I unsurprisingly never saw them again. But wherever those 2 are now, I hope they're still okay. Maybe they're back at Great Adventure right now for Holiday in the Park and are once again riding Nitro; it's one of the few coasters they still operate at this time of year \o/

Six Flags Great Adventure First-Time Trip Report 8/11/23
Driving up to this park and seeing Kingda Ka is a feeling like no other. I can't even describe it. We spent a full day at the park, and it was awesome. With my only previous Six Flags experience being SFOG, I didn't have high hopes for the park itself, but I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. The operations were solid too. We didn't wait too long for anything, other than Superman, which I regret to this day. But the one-two punch of Toro and Ka is probably the second best of any park I've been to, in close competition with Hershey's WR and Skyrush combo.
Coaster Rankings and Thoughts
1) El Toro (x 8 rides, including 5 night rides) -- WTF is this ride!!!!!!!!!!! I am BLOWN AWAY. I cannot BELIEVE this is a wooden coaster, because the ridiculous forces it provides are simply unlike those on any other wooden coaster. El Toro takes the cake for my favorite first drop and also has three more of my favorite airtime moments, with the two subsequent camelbacks and the Rolling Thunder hill. I don't know about the actual numbers, but I know the feeling, and these four moments feel like the most powerful, most sustained ejector airtime moments I have ever experienced. The name of this ride is so fitting, as it truly does feel like it is trying to eject you into the sky, like a bull trying to throw you off its back. Aside from the ejector airtime, I also love the chaotic twister section at the end of the ride that throws you from side to side. I hear people calling this ride rough a lot, and there is a pretty bad rough patch on the turnaround after the camelbacks, but the rest of the ride is perfectly smooth. I had a strange experience with the roughness of this ride. Most of my rides were in the back car in the front and middle rows 16 and 17, as well as one ride in the back of the second to last car in row 15, and one ride in the back of the third to last car in row 12, and the only ride I found to be painful was the ride in row 12, which was one of my roughest coaster experiences ever. I can't understand what the big difference could be, as I rode on wheel seats further back without issue. But I also already had a bad headache on this day, so that couldn't have helped. Anyway, the night rides on this coaster were absolutely transcendant, the ejector was absolutely addicting, and I never wanted to stop riding.
2) Kingda Ka (x 3 rides, including 2 night rides) -- I am obsessed. Ever since I got really into coasters, these Intamin stratas have been the most amazing structures to me. Just standing near Dragster or Ka and looking up at their sheer size is incredible. I never got the chance to do Dragster, but to actually get to ride Ka? My god. I think the criticism of "one trick pony" that I so often hear from enthusiasts on the internet regarding these rides is such a pedantic thought to even have after an experience like this. Ka is now truly a one-of-a-kind experience. The force of the hydraulic launch is absolutely mind-blowing. The whole track shakes as you fly down the launch, gaining a ridiculous amount of speed. People without taste might call this a "rattle," but I call it "intensity." Haha. The launch feels like it lasts forever and ever, and I love that it's not just a split second and it's over. You can feel the continuous acceleration like a car changing gears for the whole 3.5 seconds. And before you have a chance to process the launch and how fast you are going, you get crushed with the forcefulness of the pull-up into the top hat, then shoot straight up, 456 feet into the air. The views from the top of the tower are breathtaking, and the airtime coming over the tophat in the back row is awesome. Barrelling back, straight down the tophat and reaching those ridiculous 120+ mph speeds yet again is a sensation like no other. My ears would pop every time we came back down from the top due to the rapid elevation change. There is no adrenaline rush like the one this ride gives, especially at night, when you are just launching straight up into the darkness. Running back and forth between Ka and Toro at night was one of the highest highs of my life, and I will constantly be chasing that feeling for the rest of my existence.
3) Nitro (x 3 rides) -- I love these older, 2000s B&M hypers. Nitro easily makes my top 3 for this ride model, as it has a much more interesting layout with a much more varied array of forces than most of the newer hypers. (Goliath and Nitro have the two best hyper layouts that I've done, but Diamondback remains high up there for the sheer quantity of airtime.) Anyway, back to Nitro. The big camelbacks give good, sustained floater, and the helix into the midcourse gives some great positives. The ending run of smaller hills is a fantastic finale, with every single one, including the drop off the midcourse, giving some of the strongest airtime moments you will find on a ride of this model.
4) Batman (x 1 ride) -- There is nothing to say about this that I haven't already said about the SFOG Batman. I love B&M inverts, and I love this compact layout that is absolutely packed with positive Gs and whip. It doesn't run as fast as the SFOG Batman, but it's still an intense and fantastic ride.
5) Jersey Devil (x 3 rides) -- I don't know what my problem was with this ride exactly, but I think it's probably better than I'm giving it credit for. I don't know. I wanted a back row ride, but I could never get it with the stupid moving station set-up. The closest I got was row 9 (of 12). I rode 3 times and still don't have a good feel for the layout. No elements really stood out to me as I was riding. There are definitely some strong airtime moments in the first half, and I like the inversions in the first half with the stall and the zero-g roll. After the midcourse, the ride doesn't do much for me. Also, the hard, over-the-shoulder restraints are pretty restrictive and limit the airtime. I think I need more rides, because I liked it, but I definitely didn't love it.
6) Medusa (x 1 ride) -- This is a standard B&M looper. It's nothing unique or amazing, but it's a good ride with a nice variety of fun inversions and solid positive forces throughout. It's basically impossible for me to differentiate between these B&M sit-down loopers when they all have the same elements, maybe in a different order. I think it's funny that this ride is literally Kumba exactly, almost exactly the same height and track length, exact same layout. Yet Kumba gets all this praise, while Medusa is rarely talked about. I do think Kumba runs more aggressively than Medusa, so I understand it. It's just funny to me.
7) Green Lantern (x 1 ride) -- This park surely has a lot of B&M loopers. I like the layout of this ride a lot. The three loop variations, the swooping turns, and the double corkscrew finale are all very intense, piling the positive Gs on your feet and legs. The intensity of all those positive Gs on your feet is a crazy feeling -- feels like your feet might be driven through the floor of the train. Lantern is easily the best stand-up I have done, as it is taller, faster, longer, and has a much more interesting layout than Vortex and Georgia Scorcher, which hardly do anything at all. But taller, faster, longer, and more inversions also equate to a much more uncomfortable ride with stand-up trains. I would have to ride this several times to figure out how to properly brace myself, and I didn't have the time for that, so it was a pretty uncomfortable experience, but still a lot of fun.
8) Runaway Mine Train (x 1 ride) -- This is the best mine train I've done up to this point. I love the layout. The way it goes from the tame, smooth double helix beginning to the wild turns/laterals and hills in the second half is crazy. That hill before the turn over the water?? Wtf?? It's Magnum ejector on a mine train. It was so shocking, and I loved it.
9) Dark Knight (x 1 ride) -- I like wild mouse coasters more than most people, and this one has all the great, sharp laterals you would expect along with a dark, indoor setting to make the turns and forces a bit more unpredictable. Really good ride.
10) Superman Ultimate Flight (x 1 ride) -- I wasted way too much time waiting for this thing, and I regret it. I've already done the SFOG one several times. These rides just don't do a whole lot. The positives on the pretzel loop will always be a crazy sensation, but that's about all the ride has going for it, as the rest is mostly just meandering turns.
11) Joker (x 1 ride) -- I almost wish I hadn't wasted my time with this either. I don't care for these rides, and I don't really even know that they count as credits, as they don't feel like roller coasters at all. The flipping can be fun, but it's not my favorite sensation in the world. This is longer than Tumbili at KD, so I'll give it that.
12) Skull Mountain (x 1 ride) -- This is one of the weirder rides I've been on in my life. It's an indoor, dark coaster with very little theming to speak of, and it's very much a family coaster with basically no forces. Not much to say here.
Trip Details
We got into the park at about 12:30 PM. We went straight to Ka to make sure we got on it before it inevitably went down, and we were able to get on with only about a 15-minute wait. Then we went to El Toro for three consecutive rides. We got nachos from the Macho Nacho beside El Toro, then headed over to Medusa for one ride. We tried to get on Runaway Mine Train next, but accidentally got in the line for the Skyway and didn't realize we were in the wrong line until we had waited for about 15 minutes. I would have liked to get on the Skyway, but we just weren't going to have the time for it with one day at the park. So we got out of line and finally got on the mine train. We got a ride on Green Lantern next, then went to the other side of the park. We got three fairly quick rides on Jersey Devil, then three rides on Nitro that we waited about 15-20 minutes for each time. Then we got a ride on Batman, then Dark Knight, then Skull Mountain, then Joker. We then waited a stupid amount of time, probably about 50 minutes, for Superman Ultimate Flight. This was the end of the credit run, and we now had about one hour and 10 minutes to get re-rides on Toro and Ka before close at 9:30. But of course, Ka was down. So we went back to El Toro for three EPIC night rides. Then, to our relief, they got Kingda Ka back up! We ran over there as quick as we could and got two fantastic, surreal night rides! Then we sprinted back to El Toro for two more rides to close out the night. They started shooting off fireworks as the park closed, and I got some nice pictures of El Toro with the fireworks before we left.

I’m feeling better now. Just thinking about going back to Great Adventure someday this year since it’s the park’s 50th birthday this year.
We went their last time since 2021 and it was a blast of an Amusement Park. I Loved the coasters including El Toro, Nitro, and others.
We also like their food including fried chicken, ice cream and other treats. We also went on Dark Rides too.
Hope to visit again sometime.

Into, Across and Beyond! Cast: Errorverse Sonic
Replaces: Metro Spider-Man / Raimi-verse Spider-Man
WARNING: A major spoiler for Undertale Yellow is present in this post. A strikethrough will be used where the major spoiler is.
"Looking at the ground and thinking about how everything could go wrong will only slow you down, bud, and I'm sure your Sonic hates slow. Just keep looking for a way to fix the problems you see ahead of you. That's what I've been doing! Things look grey now for sure, but there's still a world- heck, a UNIVERSE of colour out there just waiting for us to explore. You just gotta know where to look!"
This version of Sonic comes from the same universe that my own character, Nitro, does; the Errorverse. He's pretty much seen all the adventures we've expected him to. The storybooks, the Solaris madness, the race across space and time, the great Eggman war, all of it!
That said, he has had his own twists and turns along the way that make him stand out as his own character. He's one of the few Sonics to be self-aware of us, his viewerbase, be it good... or bad. He underwent a period of depression leading up to the Great Eggman War, but thanks to the support of his companions, alongside Eggman himself, he was able to keep fighting forward.
After the initial war, Sonic and Tails stumbled through an abandoned lab of Eggman's, coming across somebody that would change Sonic's life forever.
(Nova owned by BroadwayBash123)
A young teen girl named Nova was sealed in one of the test tubes of the place. Knowing she really needed a happy life, the duo freed her and helped her adjust to the world around her. As time went on, Nova developed her own hobbies, personality, and strong love for her friends. She even got to meet Nitro and Amy along the way.
There was definitely a lot of romantic tension going on between the two, and though Amy was happy for Sonic and Nova, she felt torn between him, who she had loved for a while by now, and Nitro, who was developing his own feelings for her. It ultimately took Sonic expressing his sibling-like affection for Amy for her to finally make up her mind.
These bonds continued to flourish when Infinite returned, more dangerous than before, to overpower Eggman and conquer the world on his own. It took plenty of effort, but the heroes still managed to save the day. And it got Eggman to stand down for a little while to make up for his troubles.
Concerning Sonic.EXEs, Errorverse Sonic had gone through three of them; Executor Vermillion, Phaton the Phantom Hedgehog, and, well... Toxinfect. He handled the first two like a champ, but Toxinfect almost ruined his life entirely, having the WORST impact of the three and almost conquering ALL of Mobius if not for Nitro's intervention.
It took five months for Sonic to escape from purgatory alongside an ally he made there, who is the guardian of a floating city in another dimension, but once he got out with Toxinfect on the loose again, he helped tie up loose ends and put an end to the monster's tyranny once and for all.
That said, the whole ordeal shook him up a lot, which contributes to how more concentrated on their goals Team Sonic are in Frontiers. The gang do get the time to do their own Twitter Takeovers on the SEGANet, which helps them lighten up after any particularly rough cases.
As time went on, Sonic and his friends got to meet up with the cast at the dimension said guardian came from, known as Calteron. The guardian's name is Kyuzi, and he had been defending his city for a while, alongside his best friends, Enzo, Lean and Reemah.
Many more adventures ensued with time, with more universe links being established to form further bonds, which led to More than One Universe, where the gang got involved in helping OMT!Tails and the Blur Gang put things right. Sonic also wasn't afraid to get emotional and sob in CU!Sonic's arms about his own tragedies.
Things only got darker for them from there, and the most recent supernatural threat, which was responsible for causing Bently to split from the base timeline, caused the death of Kyuzi, his life being mourned for greatly.
After one of the most recent outings, a strange phenomenon caused the entire Errorverse to undergo a hard reset (or "rewrite"), creating a fresh new timeline where the old one was erased. Think the Super Genesis Wave, but without any legal mumbo-jumbo. Several things were different for this new Rewrite Errorverse:
The Puhoi Curse stuff never happened, so Audrey, its main host, co-exists with the rest of the cast without it.
Amongst characters, only Reemah, Kyuzi, Enzo, Nitro, MC, Amelia and Errorverse Team Sonic (alongside all self-aware characters, Time Stone holders, the Blur Gang and the Quill Society) remember all that went on originally.
In the original Errorverse, Eggman redeemed himself and became Mr. Tinker. Here, though, Eggman and Mr. Tinker are split into two separate characters in Errorverse Mobius.
Evo and Sid Chang had started their own science group that a now-sweet and stable Seak (who was once an insane psychopath) often attends.
In this rewritten timeline, Many More Heroes onwards is able to occur, due to the Quill Society being formed there.
All failed timelines prior to the point we pick up at still happened, but their denizens are all safe, whether in the OMEGA Universe or co-existing with the regular Errorverse crew.
In the Rewrite's Undertale/Deltarune timeline, Clover (our bean from Undertale Yellow), after giving up their soul for the Underground, got it back after Asriel shattered the barrier for good, courtesy of Frisk coming back to help them out.
Due to their interactions with canon (or "Prime") Sonic, Exester and Nameless both recall the events of a peculiar time when the ORIGINAL Sonic and many Sonic.EXEs clashed. Though that's a story for another day.
To begin with, only Nitro, Reemah, Amelia and EV!Sonic retained their memories of the old timeline, but thanks to a special orb holding those memories, the other aforementioned characters got their memories restored.
Prior to this point in the Rewrite Errorverse, EV!Sonic ended up encountering Tekno, who had also been caught up in multiversal craziness. Together, the duo formed the Quill Society via getting help and support from other heroes of all kinds of Sonic universes. He even rescued OMT!Mina and gave her a much-needed support network out of it.
And unlike Lost Memory Sonic, EV!Sonic got his rights to be the leader of the Quill Society, which has several key rules in place:
Having fun or at least enjoying yourself when in the support network is highly encouraged.
As long as it isn't hurting anyone, humour and harmless quips are perfectly alright between Quill Society members.
Even if a member isn't explicitly from a Sonic dimension, they're more than welcome to contribute music for the elevators. (LM!Sonic took offence to Somari's suggestion, by the way.)
No "canon event" nonsense is tolerated in the Quill Society, as while set events might've shaped some heroes, many more won't have those to cling to.
Calling anybody an "anomaly" (yes, this even extends to all the captive villains; those incapable of redemption are cited differently) is outright illegal in the Quill Society if it isn't by accident or is simply in discussion, as EV!Sonic actively dislikes that term, and it risks permanent exile from the dimension.
(Pictured above: NES Sonic, Hefty (D-Sides Nitro), OMT!Tails, Jake (Reclassified Sonic), LM!Sonic and EV!Sonic)
After OMT!Tails managed to help BK!Amy out of making a sadistic choice, EV!Sonic was more than happy to invite the kid to look around Gust Planet and see how the Quill Society operated. Needless to say, OMT!Tails was really excited for this opportunity, and marvelled at just how many people were here, likely in the hundreds.
(Pictured on the top row: Lord Mortis (Sonic II Special), Bluckles, Boomer, Ashura, Atomic Sonic, NGPC Sonic and Socket/Minute) (Pictured on the middle row: Candy, NightAkio, Creamy and SunFIRE) (Pictured on the bottom row: Gerem (Sonic Chrono Adventure), Nameless (The Glitch Chaos), Alicia Acorn, Game.com Sonic and Yeth) (Pictured in the foreground: Hedgehog Maria, OMT!Tails, EV!Sonic, ZX Sonic, Curse (my take) and EX!Alice (with her new mech and Chao companion) (Lord Mortis was recommended by NightAkio himself)
EV!Sonic was undeniably proud of this version of his sidekick for ratting out LM!Sonic, gladly assisting himself in apprehending the rogue blue blur and giving him an appropriate scolding before sending him back to his dimension.
During that point, of course, he got seriously pissed off at LM!Sonic for citing OMT!Tails, Antho AND Nitro as anomalies for supposedly breaching "canon" (the formermost didn't even HAVE any fault in that to begin with), and made sure to hammer it in for his crueller self how much of a mistake that was.
For now, that's all I can really say about EV!Sonic.

Year of the Bat - Number 14
Welcome to Year of the Bat! In honor of Kevin Conroy, Arleen Sorkin, and Richard Moll, I’m counting down my Top 31 Favorite Episodes of “Batman: The Animated Series” throughout this January. TODAY’S EPISODE QUOTE: “This used to be a beautiful street. Good people lived here once.” Number 14 is…Appointment in Crime Alley.
Much like “The Forgotten,” or the Honorable Mentions “See No Evil," "Paging the Crime Doctor," and “A Bullet for Bullock,” this is an episode that shows that some of the best Batman stories aren’t necessarily tales of him taking down mad supervillains or going on grand, sweeping adventures. Sometimes, the best stories are the most down-to-Earth, simple, and unsettlingly real. “Appointment in Crime Alley” is the introduction of Leslie Thompkins – one of the more unsung members of the “Bat-Family,” in my opinion – and is based on the comic “There is No Hope in Crime Alley!” I’ve never actually read the comic this episode was based on, so I can’t judge it as an adaptation in any way (unlike previous similar instances, such as “Joker’s Millions” or “Never Fear”). Thankfully, this episode stands up so well on its own terms, that’s not really an issue.
The plot focuses on Batman/Bruce Wayne making an annual pilgrimage to Park Row, a.k.a. Crime Alley. It’s a lonely, largely abandoned section of Gotham; once one of its more prosperous areas, it has, over time, descended into ruin, becoming a broken slum where derelicts and degenerates propagate. The primary reason the sorry place remains standing is because it’s been sanctioned off as a historic site. On top of that, there are still people who live in Crime Alley, and they refuse to see their home bulldozed. This isn’t enough to stop recurring antagonist Roland Daggett: a crooked businessman who wants to destroy all of Crime Alley, so that he can use the land for his own ends. To this end, Daggett hires an explosives expert and arsonist called Nitro, who goes about setting time bombs across the area, with the intention being to blow up the whole place – people and all – and make it look like an accident on account of faulty gas pipes. When Bruce’s friend, Leslie Thompkins, is kidnapped by Nitro, Batman must try to save her and Park Row from inevitable doom, all while dealing with a gauntlet of other problems that keep getting in his way during this race against the clock.
“Appointment in Crime Alley” is one of the most suspenseful and gritty episodes of the series. The direct ties to Batman’s tragic origins are a big part of what make it so memorable; Bruce goes through all of this with the simple and sad purpose of laying flowers on the spot where his parents met their untimely ends. It’s a ritual he treats with great reverence, and what’s interesting about all this is you’d think he’d hate Crime Alley as much as anybody else, given both its reputation and his history with the spot. Instead, Bruce strives to save both it and Leslie. Of course, this is expected; he’s the hero, and Leslie is someone very close to him: she is one of his mentor figures, a sort of surrogate mother in the same way Alfred is often perceived as a surrogate father. Also, he can hardly let dozens of innocent people die because of Daggett and Nitro.
However, I think there’s more to it than even that: there’s a lot of talk in this episode about the state of Crime Alley, comparing its despoiled status with its former glory. In a way, the place seems to be a microcosm of Gotham itself: this little spot of crime, corruption, and rampant poverty, which many in the city see as a seeping, infected growth that needs to be amputated. It’s made clear, however, that Crime Alley ISN’T just a den of thieves and lowlifes: the people who live here aren’t all bad people, with Leslie being among them. Bruce recognizes this better than anyone: it’s one of Gotham’s darkest corners, but Leslie represents hope and warmth there, someone who wants to save lives and make people happy in a place where those things seem almost impossible. I can’t help but feel there’s a subtle indication there of where so much of Batman’s personality and philosophy came from: he, too, is someone who seeks to do these things, in a place that, overall, many would argue is the same, but he works on a more grandiose scale. It’s an interesting parallel, and gives us some unique looks into Bruce’s mind and heart alike. Tense, dark, emotional, and layered with ample nuance, “Appointment in Crime Alley” is an episode that matches its namesake: one small, black moment in an already dark show, yet with some surprising light hidden in its depths.
Tomorrow we move on to Number 13! Hint: “Without Batman, crime has no punchline.”

Chapter 13: Where’s Our First Mission Boss?
We all woke up early the next day. After eating, we started out to the Cutless, my heart racing. A new adventure awaits me. I didn’t even care what he wanted me to do if I could do something.
“Wait, what do you want me to do?” I asked, angrily.
“This will be a quick one and done. I’m only stopping, grabbing some information on a prospect and we are leaving. Please stay inside and watch the kid.”
“Um, if you brought me along to be a glorified babysitter, I’ll go back to mom. At least she gives me actual work to do!”
“You don’t think watching Grogu will be work? Hm…” I huffed and walked on board the ship. I didn’t care if he’d be gone 5 minutes or 5 hours. I didn’t want to be left behind.
“What about Grogu? I thought you were supposed to be training him up as a Mandalorian!”
“I am. Sometimes we need to be patient. That’ll be his lesson on this trip. Yours too.” Walking on the ship, I just stopped talking altogether. I was so frustrated. I just wanted to see new places and engage with different types of species. This would have been perfect. Maybe he was still weirded out from our conversation from last night and he’s punishing me. No, I thought. I don’t think he’s one to handle things like that.
We all sat down, and Din buckled Grogu into his little seat. I buckled my belt in the co-pilot chair, waiting if he was going to use me or his auto pilot again. He didn’t say anything, so I just sat there. “Are you ready to go to Adelphi?” I looked over at him.
“Sure.” I shrugged, at this point not caring where we went. “Can I help fly there?”
“Yes.”
Once in space and the path had been set, Din stood up and went back to the weapons area and started arranging a few things. “What’s on Adelphi?” I turned to whisper to Grogu. He looked back and blinked. I could vaguely feel a sense of relief, like it would be ok. “A friend?” I asked. Grogu cooed. “I wonder why he would want us to stay behind if he’s meeting a friend?” Something hidden passed through my vision. “It’s a secret friend?” Grogu looked at me and I knew that answer. “Ok, I won’t push him anymore. I’ll be a great little babysitter!” I said smiling, leaning in on the kid and nuzzling with him. He squeaked and picked up his arms.
I took him out of his pod, as he already unbuckled himself. “Plus, it gives us time to work on our plan,” I whispered to him.” I sat there and looked at him in my lap. He gave me flashes of some of the talents he had done in the past. “I didn’t know you could do such things.”
“What can he do?” I spun around to see Din walking back up to his chair.
“Uh, I dunno. He seems to have these gifts I don’t understand, but I feel like he’s trying to explain them to me. It’s weird, because I don’t hear him, I just get flashes of ideas or something.”
“Hm. Well, you two have a strong connection then.” he said, almost sounding aggravated. “We’ll be landing in about an hour. I shouldn’t be gone for more than 2 hours. Can you manage to stay out of trouble?”
“Yes boss!” I said putting my hand up to my forehead. Grogu made bubbling noises agreeing with me as well.
“Great,” he sighed. Like he didn’t believe us! How rude, I thought.
We finally landed, almost exactly an hour later. The city we were in didn’t seem anything special, so I at this point wasn’t too concerned about not missing out as much. Mando got up out of his chair, opened the hatch, stopped, looked at us and said, “Please stay here and watch over him.”
“I will! I swear!” He left and closed the hatch. “Ugh, I thought he would never leave. Ok you, what sort of things can you do? I feel like you can read my mind and shoot thoughts you have to me. Is that all?”
He closed his eyes, reached his little hand out and I saw out of the corner of my eye something floating towards him. A bottle of nitro fluid! What the? I just stared with my mouth opened as it landed softly in my hands on my lap. “What did you just do? You can move objects with your mind? That’s wild, and so cool! Can you teach me? Or is this a species thing?”
He looked right at me, hopped over, and sat on my lap. He placed a small hand on my knee and closed his eyes. Suddenly, I felt weightless. I felt the need to close my eyes too and when I opened them, I was floating with him on my lap. I sat there wide eyed, not sure what to do or say. It felt like he had me up there for an hour, but it was only a few seconds and Grogu put me down gently. “Ok little man, teach me, please! This is awesome! Does Din know you can do this?”
Grogu looked back at me, and I could see clearly that Din knew what his powers were. “What else, what else? Oh, tell me there’s more!”
He looked up at me with his big black eyes, closed them again and held a handout towards my side. I felt a jolt, like a pinch of something. I went to swat it away, but nothing was there. What is going on? Then I felt it again, but it intensified. I tried to stand up, but I curled on my side and started to giggle. Wait, was he tickling me? How was he doing this? Then it stopped and he looked at me smiling.
“Wait, you can tickle people without even touching them? Especially someone covered in armor head to toe?” He smiled and I smiled. Oh, this is perfect. “Have you ever done this on him before?”
A hard no flashed through my mind. “Can you teach me?” He looked and blinked at me a few times. I felt like this would be a hard task for him to explain to me. “That’s fine. I’ll just get myself a front row ticket to this show. I leaned back with him still on my lap and closed my eyes. Oh, this will be good, I thought. This will teach him to leave us behind!

My Top 5 (End of 2023)
Hi yall! Sorry for how long it’s been. Thanksgiving left me exhausted, and then all of a sudden I was coming back to college for finals weeks. I almost finished this a week ago, but then I just forget to add the last section. Anyway, as the end of the year approaches and seasonal parks close their doors, I figure this is an appropriate time to share my current top 5 coasters. So far, I’ve visited 3 major theme parks in the US as of recently: Six Flags Great Adventure, Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens Williamsburg. I’ve also visited Disney World and Universal Orlando, but those were back when I was 11 or so, and so I hardly remember any rides I might’ve gone on. So while this will change over the years, and I’ll eventually have enough credits to where I can start listing my top 10, 15 and even 20, here be my current top 5 :>
For context, I base my rankings off of two factors:
1. How much I want to re-ride it right now.
2. How long I’m laughing after I’ve gotten off. If I’m still chuckling by the time I’m back at the entrance, it’s a winner.
5. Kingda Ka, Six Flags Great Adventure
It won’t shock you to know that Kingda Ka was, at one point, the scariest coaster I’ve ever been on. How long did it hold that title? Like 2 hours until I rode it for a second time, after which I knew for a fact my coaster fear was all but buried. Despite that, I’m pretty certain that no matter how often I ride it in the future, sitting on the launch track will still give me butterflies in my stomach.
But god, that launch is unlike anything I’ve ever felt. Hell, for like 2 weeks after my second Great Adventure visit this past summer, I scoured Youtube for a pov/off-ride video that would hit the exact same mark as actually riding Kingda Ka. I never found one that got even close :(. I also never got to ride OG Top Thrill Dragster or any other Intamin hydraulic launch coaster (Storm Runner looks so good…), but god you mean to tell me there’s multiple of these??? Even though I’ve ridden longer rides, as well as ones that I wish I could ride right now even more, that does NOT mean Kingda Ka does not deserve love. All my homies love Kingda Ka.
4. Nitro, Six Flags Great Adventure
Nitro was my first ever B&M (Bolliger and Mabillard) hyper coaster (ride that exceeds 200 feet). And although the only other one I’ve ridden is Apollo’s Chariot, I do NOT understand why thoosies say this thing is mid. Sure the paint scheme is on the uglier side, but that makes it unique. And like, this thing isn’t the ugliest thing in the world. I don’t even know how you could make a coaster ugly.
This thing is floater airtime and speed galore. Next time I’m at Great Adventure, I’m trying out both front and back row to see how it lives up. I always put my hands up on Nitro cuz like, why wouldn’t you? Only part that’s a sharp change is the helix as the trains return to the station. That thing is fast and tight: I grey out every time I go through it. Not saying it’s bad at all, just a wild element lol.
3. Pantheon, Busch Gardens Williamsburg
Pantheon is my first ever ride to feature a vertical spike. And oh my GOD did it have me laughing like a mad lass. This thing is such a treat from start to finish. I have a whole other story to share about this coaster and waiting in queue, but that’s for another time.
What Pantheon does super well is consistency between its elements. From the first launch to missing the top hat to the spike to the hangtime, this thing does NOT quit (until the brake run of course). Some people say this is a mix between Maverick and Velocicoaster, and from the pov’s I’ve watched, I can see where they’re coming from. I’m planning on riding Maverick next summer, and I don’t know when I’ll be able to go to Islands of Adventure. But until then, Pantheon my beloved.
2. Intimidator 305, Kings Dominion
I love you I-305. I love you so damn much. This monstrosity was my first ever giga coaster (ride that exceeds 300 feet), and oh my GOD is it heavenly. I need to make it clear that this thing is not for the faint of heart. It is fast, whippy and unrelenting. But in a loving way :D.
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to not grey out on the right back after the drop. But lemme tell ya, greying out is awesome. I understand why some people dislike it and tend to avoid re-riding anything that does it to em. But me? I love the feeling. If anything I wanna immediately re-ride it if I feel my vision going. I’m weird and gay like that. Some people also say that this is the anti-Millennium Force: while Millennium does airtime galore, I-305 does speed and lateral’s galore. I’ll be the judge of that when I hopefully go to Cedar Point soonish, but for now, Intimidator 305 sits comfortably in my number 2.
1. El Toro, Six Flags Great Adventure
You knew this was coming. El Toro was my first wooden coaster, my first non-family coaster, my first big Intamin, my first blog here and it’s in my pfp \o/. I’m so glad that Six Flags has been genuinely caring for this monstrosity after all these years. Even with the recent incidents, they haven’t given up on it. And I’m so grateful for that, I can’t imagine Great Adventure without this.
There’s still many woodie’s that I need to ride. The Beast at Kings Island and The Voyage at Holiday World are both really high on my list. But as of right now I ain’t going out to Indiana just to ride a big woodie (and also Firebird, that looks sick). To be brutally honest, the only other woodie I’ve actually ridden as of today is The Grizzly at Kings Dominion. And it’s a solid woodie, don’t get me wrong. But it just ain’t the Bull.
Some people dislike El Toro for how rough it’s apparently become over the years. And while that’s understandable, I love a woodie that’s rough. It gives a bite to it, like it’s out of control. That’s what woodies specialize in over steel’s: they’re out of control. From this thing’s ejector airtime, to the speed, to the tight banks to the Rolling Thunder Hill, El Toro will never leave my heart. It’s no wonder I spent 30 bucks on a t-shirt and keychain on my most recent visit. I’m a capitalist slave to the Bull.

Maturity
In my hiatus, I've grown as a person and learned a lot more about life, with help from a better group of individuals online that have shaped me into a much more compassionate person.
And not some screechy, keymashing, all-caps typer.
I've grown more into a proper jack of all trades, dabbling in multiple different skills and finding none of them are impossible if I put my mind to them. Sure they take time and I get self conscious, but I'm telling myself "it'll get better".
Sadly with how I am, it certainly takes a while to actually make the effort not go to waste. That goes for drawing specifically.
WITH WRITING, that's a completely different story.
I have been using discord for 9 years now, and it's been great. I've grown from it, and a few years ago have permanently opted to have nitro just to write. I use discord to write potential book ideas, and have gotten quite far in many of them, but they're just works in progress.
My first book was terrible and disgusting looking back, but thankfully, recently I've come up with a way to salvage it and the characters, while changing it completely to have it be a different message, and to not go the Gojo route (writer hates protagonist, my brother in christ you made the character).
I even managed to breeze through three total books in a whole 3 month span, and I only feel the first book is really ready - minus the name change I'm opting to go for.
Writing is an adventure. Books are fun. And the real nerds are the ones saying books are not cool.
Those jerks clearly haven't experienced JoJo or Sand Land or, hell, Lupin III.
Regardless, I've become a much smarter individual, and I'm only getting better from here. They say your brain stops developing at a certain age in your 20s, but that's only half true. It stops GROWING, but it can still continue to develop and learn, grow more creases with memories and knowledge.
Life is an adventure. Do what you want (within moral limits). Don't let others drag you down like a crab in a bucket.

Unleash the Thrill with an RC Monster Truck from RC Hobbies Outlet
Introduction: The Excitement of RC Monster Trucks
In the world of remote-controlled (RC) vehicles, there’s a special kind of exhilaration that comes from handling an RC monster truck. These powerful, durable, and high-performance machines are designed to dominate any terrain, offering hobbyists and enthusiasts a thrilling and immersive experience. At RC Hobbies Outlet, we bring you one of the best selection of RC monster trucks in Canada, ensuring you get the ultimate in fun and excitement.
Why Choose an RC Monster Truck?
RC Monster trucks are optimum for off-road racing and outdoor adventures. The unique qualities of a Monster truck are;
Large wheels to provide more ground clearance, which is required when driving off-road
Heavy Duty suspension to absorb the bumps and jumps that your RC truck will encounter when driving off-road
Higher torque to deliver impressive power to the large wheels and overcome obstacles
RC monster trucks are designed to handle challenging terrains while delivering top-tier performance.
Size
RC Monster Trucks are normally rated by scale size, which refers to an approximate fraction of a small truck The most common sizes for RC trucks are;
1/8 Scale – these trucks are the largest and are around 21 inches long, and generally have larger motors and engines. They also offer the most ground clearance
1/10 Scale – this is the most popular size and are around 16 inches long
1/12 and 1/16 Scale – these are about 11-13 inches long, but because of their limited ground clearance, can normally only be used on reasonable even ground
Power Source
RC Trucks use either Brushed electric, Brushless electric or nitro (gas) engines. Each has merits and cons.
Electric RC Trucks: These run on rechargeable batteries and are quieter, cleaner, and easier to maintain. They are perfect for both new and experienced users.
Brushed Electric RC trucks provide good speed ( great for kids), and are lower cost.
Brushless Electric RC RTrucks are usually much faster and are more suited for anyone over 12 for off-road racing. You can often increase the speeds further by just upgrading to a higher voltage LIPO battery
In all cases, you will usually want 1 or more additional batteries for more play time.
Nitro Gas RC Trucks: These use a unique fuel blend for a nitro gas engine to provide increased power and speed, making them great for more experienced users who want the realism of the noise and smoke of a gas powered engine. They also offer the advantage of allowing you to drive them as long as you want by just adding more fuel.. However, they demand more skill to operate, are noisier, and cannot be used indoors. Also Nitro RC Trucks normally do not come with reverse.
Superior Build Quality
At RC Hobbies Outlet, we ensure that every RC monster truck in our collection is good quality.and hobby grade These trucks are constructed with durable materials that can withstand the rigors of rough play and harsh environments. Our RC Monster trucks offer a perfect blend of speed, power, and affordability. It’s an ideal choice for off-road enthusiasts who seek a reliable and powerful RC monster truck without breaking the bank.
Customization and Upgrades
One of the appealing aspects of owning an RC monster truck is the ability to customize and upgrade your vehicle. From upgrading suspension systems to metal, upgrading motors, Batteries, modifying bodies and adding lights, the possibilities are endless. This customization not only enhances performance but also allows you to create a truck that’s uniquely yours.
Getting Started with Your RC Monster Truck
Choosing the Right Model
Selecting the right RC monster truck depends on your experience level, intended use, and a variety of other factors. These factors include
Age: If the driver is under 12, a brushed electric Truck or a 1/16 scale RC Monster Truck may be the best choice. The speeds are manageable by a younger driver, and crashes are less likely to break parts and require repairs. They are still a lot of fun and help drivers build up their skills.
Racing Style: Some drivers have a need-for-speed, and are primarily interested in high speed racing: Brushless Electric or Nitro gas powered Monster Trucks are the best fit for these drivers.
Budget: Generally brushed motor RC Trucks and 1/16 Scale RC Monster Trucks are the most affordable if you are on a tight budget. You may also want to consider lesser known brands ( Such as HSP and HBX) which are often much better value, and provide a good quality hobby-class entry and higher-end RC Monster Trucks at a much more affordable price
Racing Friends: If you have friends that are also interested in RC Monster Trucks and racing, it is a good idea to purchase similar vehicles so that you can have great races where the better driver wins, and the results are not skewed by differences in the vehicles.
Hobby-Class RC Monster Trucks
To enjoy this hobby, you need to purchase hobby-class RC Monster Trucks, and avoid lower cost toy class vehicles that are readily available on Amazon, Walmart, etc. Hobby-class vehicles are designed to provide much better performance, greater durability, use better quality components, can be easily repaired, and parts are readily available.
Controlling your RC Monster Truck
If you have no or only limited experience in driving RC vehicles off-road we would recommend the following:
Scout out the area you want to drive in, and identify and avoid any areas that could cause problems or potential damage to your truck. These would include ditches, large rocks, large drops, trees, large debris, etc. Remember if you are driving your truck at high speeds and hit an immovable object, you will likely break something
Drive at low to moderate speeds until you become familiar with the terrain or the off-road track, and have mastered the remote control of your truck.
Minimize the number and size of any jumps, until you have mastered how to make good landings
Ensure you always have good visibility of your truck
Be careful not to hit another person or animal, to avoid injury
As RC Monster Trucks have a higher center of gravity, you will need to get familiar with what speed and turning radius you can use on turns, without causing the Monster truck to tip over.
Maintenance and Care
Maintaining your RC monster truck is crucial for its longevity and performance. Regularly check and clean the vehicle after use, especially if you’ve been driving in muddy or sandy conditions. Inspect the drivetrain, suspension, and electronics for any signs of wear or damage, and replace parts as necessary.

Embrace the Chill: The Ultimate Guide to Iced Coffee
As the temperature rises, there's nothing quite as refreshing as a chilled, invigorating cup of iced coffee. This beloved beverage offers the perfect blend of robust coffee flavor and cooling refreshment, making it a go-to drink for coffee enthusiasts during the warmer months. Whether you're a fan of the classic iced brew or prefer something a bit more adventurous, here’s your ultimate guide to enjoying iced coffee in all its delightful forms.
Classic Iced Coffee is a staple that never goes out of style. It starts with a strong, hot brew that's quickly cooled down and poured over ice. The key to a great classic iced coffee is using high-quality beans and brewing them at double strength to ensure the coffee doesn't get diluted when the ice melts. For a smoother flavor, consider using cold-brewed coffee, which involves steeping coarsely ground coffee in cold water for an extended period, typically 12 to 24 hours. The result is a rich, less acidic coffee that’s perfect for icing.
For those who like their coffee with a twist, Iced Lattes and Iced Cappuccinos offer a creamy, indulgent alternative. An iced latte is made with espresso and cold milk poured over ice, creating a deliciously smooth drink that can be customized with flavored syrups like vanilla, caramel, or hazelnut. An iced cappuccino, on the other hand, features espresso, cold milk, and a frothy layer of milk foam on top. Both drinks are perfect for those who enjoy a balanced blend of strong coffee and creamy texture.
Nitro Cold Brew is a relatively new innovation that has quickly gained popularity among coffee lovers. This unique beverage is made by infusing cold brew coffee with nitrogen gas, resulting in a creamy, stout-like texture with a natural sweetness. Served straight from a tap, nitro cold brew is rich and velvety, offering a refreshing alternative to traditional iced coffee.
For a taste of the exotic, try Vietnamese Iced Coffee. This bold, sweet drink is made with strong, dark-roasted Vietnamese coffee, brewed using a drip filter and then mixed with sweetened condensed milk. The result is a rich, intensely flavorful coffee that’s both refreshing and satisfyingly sweet.
Lastly, for a simple yet satisfying treat, Affogato offers the perfect blend of coffee and dessert. This Italian classic consists of a shot of hot espresso poured over a scoop of vanilla ice cream or gelato. The hot coffee slowly melts the ice cream, creating a delightful mix of temperatures and textures that’s perfect for cooling down on a hot day.
Iced coffee, in all its forms, provides a refreshing and versatile way to enjoy your favorite brew. Whether you prefer it black, creamy, or sweet, there's an iced coffee variation out there to suit your taste. So next time the heat has you craving something cool and caffeinated, reach for an iced coffee and embrace the chill.

How does it feel being stuck with Mr. Needlemouse, someone that embodies the ruthlessness of a cartoon character from the 40s/50s
Mr. Needlemouse: Hey, got another one over here! And it looks to be from my creator, too! Now, let's see... "How does it feel being stuck with..." Yeah, imma just toss this out-.
Mini Sonic: Hey, gimme that! We're not just turning down questions at random, especially not from a co-writer. Yo, guys! Got another question!
OMT!Mina: Sweet! Now, let's see... @mcgamejolter asks... Hey, that's one of the co-writers of our adventures. "How does it feel being stuck with Mr. Needlemouse, someone that embodies the ruthlessness of a cartoon character from the 40s/50s?" And a hastily-stuck-on "#ask the blur gang" as well.
D-Sides Mighty: You know, he's got a good point. How come we're stuck with this trouble-loving maniac?
Mr. NM: Hey! What was that about me?!
Mini Sonic: Yeah, no kidding. Would you believe he just told me to do the sacrifice to shut down Nega's energiser instead of being selfless about it like the rest of us?
Mr. NM: Look, I'd rather live on causing chaos back in my dimension than be stuck in a world where my abilities only cause humiliation! Ya can't fault me for not being selfless!
CR!Sonic: Being selfless is a core part of being a hero, Needlemouse. Even a cartoon should know that.
OMT!Tails: Alright, alright. Let's not cause any in-fighting right now. I kinda don't like having him strung around any more than anyone else here, though he's mainly here for the free chilli dogs, even if they might not taste the same as they do back home for him.
Mr. NM: Heard that one right! Am I a useless asset? Sure! Heroic qualities? None. But I'm loyal if you feed me, and I'll never leave you because... well, I need the food.
OMT!Mina: I mean, why couldn't we have had the Sonic from Dimension AO-1992 on board with us in our first quest?
OMT!Tails: Oh! What if Wacky was there with us on our first crusade?
Wacky: Oh?
OMT!Tails: Yeah. It would've made us a gender-equal ensemble right from the get-go!
Wacky: Remind me what the first multiversal quest here was about to me.
CR!Sonic: Simple summary; Eggman Nega built a huge device that catapulted five of us from other dimensions over to Tails's one. I wasn't inclined with being his mentor after all the stuff that happened in my universe, but I got time to think, and I wasn't gonna let that world go unprotected if Tails wasn't ready to protect it. Even if I did want to stay behind to do the act myself...
CR!Sonia: Woah... You told me about it at breakfast one morning!
CR!Sonic: Yep! That's the adventure I went on before you and Manik came into the world, my little adventurer!
Wacky: One journey before I joined the crew, heh.
Mr. NM: How come I wasn't invited to your second multiversal mayhem? I could've levelled all the guys easily!
Hog: My guess is that the wave never reached your dimension, what with it being all cartoon and such.
Wacky: And as for my end? The wave kicked out Bizarro from my body and meant I didn't have to keep my eyes shut to block them out anymore.
Mr. NM: Possession poschmession! Cartoons can't get possessed by supernatural entities!
EX!Alice: And do we have to remind you about the case involving Lilith Rose?
Mr. NM: Er, nah.
EX!Alice: Yeah, that's what I thought.
BK!Amy: Yeah, Adventures Sonic would definitely have made a great fit for the role if he could. Cartoon-like, AND has inherited some pain in his life before.
Nitro: Yeah, I got a message that he was considered for Ham's role before being swapped out with NM, for whatever reason.
Mr. NM: I got a contract to follow assigned by my creator first-hand. It's only fair!
Nitro: Eh.
Mr. NM: What? I'm here for a role, and I'm gonna fulfil it! Don't judge me for it.
CR!Sonic: As long as you keep causing chaos for laughs? ...Yeah, we'll judge you for it.
Mr. NM: Oh, come on!
CR!Manik: Let's cut this off here before things get more hectic.
CR!Sonia: Yeah. Thanks for the question, MCStudio!
