- you said that with a smile, going back to your homework, acting as if nothing was wrong

- Osamu nodded, closing the door behind him, his footsteps receding, but then suddenly they stopped

- you had to struggle not to snicker at the sudden stop of his footsteps

- then you heard him coming back and you swore you almost let out a laugh, swallowing it quickly as he opened the door again

- he was getting ready to leave for practice, coming up from behind you as you worked on some assignments, giving you a quick one armed hug since his other arm was full carrying his stuff

- he waited a minute, since usually he heard you say it back— but no you went right back to doing your work

- he assumed that maybe you were very absorbed and busy with your assignments and studies, which he understood and wanted to respect your work time

- so he left without another word, not wanting to disturb you

- but he’d be lying if he said he didn’t care about the fact that you didn’t say it back to him

- he was so accustomed to you saying those three words back to him or to him directly, maybe he’d taken it for granted? Because now without hearing them, he felt— wrong

- he wasn’t greatly disturbed, but he wasn’t normal either

- he thought about it a couple times during breaks in practice, wondering if he did something to make you distant or frustrated with him

- after practice was over, he came back, seeing you still doing your work like when he left, and he tried to be as quiet as possible to not bother you in case that was the reason behind why you didn’t say it back

- he called tendou because he thought either tendou was the expert on these things or semi, and semi did NOT pick up 💀 (idk why but I feel like semi never answers his phone, not even on purpose, but like his ringer doesn’t work or some shit and he’s sitting there wondering why no one texts him or calls him)

- “Is the situation that bleak?? I require your best wishes..? Tendou is this serious?” (Poor guy is sweating now 💀)

You weren’t officially part of the volleyball team but you were spending so much time with them that they didn’t hesitate to bring you to the camp with them when they left for a few days. You were paired in duos for the room and, as you were one of the girls, you were obviously spending your night along with Kiyoko. Except that you really wanted to spend some time with Nishinoya during those short “vacations”. 

This is how you ended up making this plan with Tanaka. as he was the one in the same room as Noya, and you were with the love of his life, it didn’t take long for you two to make an arrangement. Both of you needed to be really careful, because if anyone knew what you did, especially Daichi, it would be the end of your lives. 

The night finally arrived and the time had come. You silently sneaked out of your room after talking for some time with Kiyoko, and you joined the spot you decided to meet at with Tanaka. He arrived after some time, and both of you left for each other’s room.

You slowly entered the room, looking around as you walked inside. You didn’t have the time to say anything when you felt a sudden weight on your back which made you fall on the ground. You heard a laugh and you couldn’t help but to show an amused smile. 

“You’re here!” Noya said as he sat next to you on the floor, a huge smile on his lips. You nodded at his words, chuckling slightly. “Don’t be so loud, we can’t get caught.” The libero simply jumped on you once more, taking you between his arms to hold you tightly. 

It wasn”r like you couldn’t spend time together usually, but this camp was a good opportunity to have some peaceful time and to hangout alone without having to worry about school. So the two of you spend a good part of the night together. you guys talked about a lot of things, and Nishinoya even showed you some of his tricks. 

He was currently trying to show you his new technique when you take a look at the hour. You looked back at the libero with a sad smile. “I need to go soon Yuu,” you told him, and a frown appeared on his face. Apparently, he wasn’t so happy with the idea of you leaving. He kneeled on the floor in front of you who was sitting on his bed. 

It caught you off guard but, before you could say anything, Noya was resting his head on your lap, eyes closed. You blinked a few times, trying to process what was happening. Your fingers slowly found their way to his hair, playing with it gently. The two of you stayed like this for some time, enjoying a bit of calm together before you had to go back to your own room. 

After some time, Nishinoya finally stood up again. “You can go now,” he said, and you stood up from the bed right after. You offered him a smile before leaving a soft kiss against his cheek. He looked at you with his usual smile, waving at you. “Goodnight,” you said to each other before you got out of the room. 

You met Tanaka in the hallway, as both of you stayed longer than expected. A smile almost immediately appeared on your lips and Tanaka raised his hand. You let your hand meet his in a silent high five before he giggled a little. Your plan had worked perfectly, and you knew the camp was going to be even funnier than what you thought.

Yamaguchi - Someone got kicked out of the lesson for coughing too much and 'disrupting class'

Lev - Did a way too harsh, really bad comedy roast for all of the teachers as an act in the school talent show and got in trouble for it

Yamamoto - Because trainers were banned at the school he tried to start a 'trainers rebellion' by convincing the whole school to wear trainers one day because 'they can't stop us all' but it failed spectacularly

Hoshiumi - Climbs over the 7 foot fence in the middle of lunch to get a ball that got kicked over

Hanamaki and Matsukawa (they team up for this one) - This guy who ran a secret sweet selling business where he sold overpriced mostly american sweets to people during class, with a dedicated Instagram business account and everything

Atsumu - Got his pencil case thrown in the bin by a teacher cause he was being THAT annoying

Tanaka and Noya - A teacher thought they were using coughs to communicate during a test (they weren't) and she started screaming at the whole class and ripped up their papers (it was so bad another teacher had to come take over her class so she had time to clam down)

he’s delirious by the time you’re done with him on day 1, and refuses to continue studying it unless there’s something in it for him too (except the very necessary match he had to play in)

and since then, he began understanding every formula and question, just to receive as many kisses as you could spare for him

tutoring sessions turn into study dates as the days merge together

dusk morphs into dawn when you study at his house sometimes, and he ends up falling asleep on the table

looking up to find him softly snoring, with his hair falling onto his closed eyes, you smile at him

he’d been working so hard the past month <3

you reach out to ruffle his hair slowly and pat his head lightly, making sure not to wake him from his peaceful state
