I [love/am baffled by] this scene because Garmadon pretends to betray Wu for no reason and it's just played perfectly straight.

"You put too much trust in me >:)" "Did you lead me here to destroy me?" "No lol we're both going through the same portal, I'm just kicking you in because I'm EVIL haha"

Garmadon spends most of the next episode just trolling the Ninja, so ofc he'd do the same for his brother. It's just funny that the scene seems to be dramatic and then... Wu is fine and Garmadon goes and peacefully helps the Ninja.

just started rewatching season 1 and i love the Slither Pit fight because it's so funny to me that this species have been captured for CENTURIES upon MILLENNIA and at one point the Hypnobrai just said "fuck it- fighting pit" and made a fully mechanized death pit with levers and special ice weaponry and ground that tilts. and it is just a part of that cave system now. really makes you wonder what the other snakes were up to. i mean, pythor ate his species but other that THAT-

One of my many, many roman empires is the fact that in the early seasons (at least seasons 1 and 2) Lloyd's skin tone was a different shade of yellow than everyone else's

It's particularly noticeable in the intro (these are both from the season 2 intro I believe). His skin is distinctly oranger compared to the others. My working theory is that the more lemony shade everyone else has would clash with his green gi so they changed it for more visual cohesion (if you look at Kai in the green gi back in season 1 you can kinda see it doesn't look as good on him as it does on Lloyd, although the scene is fairly dark so it's not immediately obvious).

In "All of Nothing" Jay uses lightning to travel down an electrical pole (as the lightning himself) at the beginning of the episode, and then never does so again.

Which is sad, but why doesn't he? Is it dangerous/painful/draining for him to do so? Or is it something limited to the Nunchucks of Lightning that the Elemental Master of Lightning alone cannot do without merging with it?

Wu goes from being concerned about his "old bones" to being turned evil, confronting a failure from his past, nearly aging to death, reliving his youth, confronting a failure from his past (again), regaining his motivation, and then finally directly confronting the embodiment of evil itself.

Underrated character journey is all I'm saying
