Jackal X Reader ???

A.N. I have to provide for myself. There are no Jackal fanfictions and I need to let myself be happy , and same with other that were in my predicament. If it's terribly written I'm sorry I needed to make this fast.

When he first met you , it was before the war of Fairy Tail and Tartaros. Finding you in a forest training to become a stronger fighter to protect yourself. Jackal being Jackal is intrigued and tries to explode you , but you collapse before he even gets to work his “magic” 

Jackal doesn’t even know why he took you to be healed , something just intrigued him. To him , you were like a toy that he wanted and now has. That was what he told himself at first , nothing else really could explain it. 

When he does return to the cube , he does get a few looks from his other gates. Mard Geer didn't really understand why Jackal would do that , humans are worthless and dirt beneath their feet. The initial thought is that this might lead him from not taking part of their plans. He gets punished for his actions but he doesn't care because it was worth it.

“Humans are worthless and should be eliminated.” That’s his opinion on every human , except for you. Something about your existence keeps him entertained. Watching you trying to escape , it’s so intriguing to him. 

It was a hard first month with Tartaros , you couldn't leave or do anything. You were at the mercy of everything in that god forsaken place. Staying alive without any torture and good care was already a blessing , you started to appreciate it.

At times , he’ll just go up and touch you to scare you. Sometimes touching your shoulder , arms , or even hands. He only sets off one time , but seeing your startled expression makes him so exhilarated. "Worried about getting hurt?"

Jackal never tries to actually hurt you , and if he does , it’s truly unintentional. Once his did explode you and he was too stunned to speak. When seeing you rest in your room he tried to apologize but didn't know how to put it into words.

Ended up yelling at you and running off and then came back. “Why would I ever hurt my little play thing? That would be such a waste , I want to experiment with my explosions on someone… 🙂” This comes off in a silly way , and you start laughing which offends him.

The explosion damage wasn't to bad after all and you had an idea to use him to help you train. It was true he could be a nuisance but it was a good way to get back in shape. It's a good opportunity to get better at what you wanted to do anyways

Mard Geer doesn't even care about your existence now , because you're a human , and its now clear any of them can kill you at anytime. Also uses this freedom of yours to learn more about human magic.

Since you finally gained some freedom after two months , you decide to fight Jackal when you see him.

When he sees you trying to pick a fight with him to gain strength , he goes all in. What's in their to lose? His human is trying to fight him , one of the nine demon gates , and for what? To become powerful? In his mind , it's adorable how you can really believe you'll be as strong as he is! Nothing can stop Tartaros and the gates don't even use magic , but curses.

After a few blows later , he realizes you have no intention of trying to surpass him. Which really makes him feel somewhat disappointed but still somewhat entertained. Wondering what were you trying to get at? Escaping wasn't an option , and trying to kill him would be idiotic. He'll be brought back to life in the lab regardless. He'll never leave you alone even if you somehow kill him , always coming back to see you once again.

This goes on for a few months and you feel more accomplished everyday. Even gaining some feelings for him in the process.

When he does start to feel something for you despite his ignorant beliefs , he does start flirting in some many types of ways to get a reaction.

Immediately tries to blow up everything else he deems as a nuisance to show off his strength. You obliviously had a reaction of "What the Hell??" This goes on for a few weeks and it does get him in a little trouble.

Seilah ended up confronting him about this because its disrupting her reading. "Jackal , why are you doing this? There's no good reason for you to be destroying our base. Is this for that human?""Yes it is for that human , they've intrigued me and I want to impress them. Is there a problem?"

Seilah chuckles and walks away without saying a word , and Jackal scoffs at the action.

He's always been flirty towards you , but it increased. More teasing came with that as well. Which led you to joke around and say " Do you like me or something." "Why wouldn't I?"

Leaves you stunned but it led to a new thing with Jackal , and it's something you'll forever be happy about.

He never leaves your side after that , always trying to protect you / show off. It's a loving relationship and he's still cocky. It's worth it because you'll always be safe with him around.

Jackal can't even get jealous because no one will ever be better than him. What's there to be scared of? Does his best to be somewhat human towards you because "humans are fragile and weak." The ignorant beliefs don't leave but you know know what he truely feels for you. That's all that matters.

A.N. Part 2: I went to the lands of devianart , wattpad , and I even back to QUOTEV. Do you know how sad it is to go back on that platform to find fanfiction after writing fanfiction and have your father read it??? I went back , found like one fanfic and it was where the reader was a catgirl. Though , I did read this one fanfiction , it was a Mard Geer X Reader X Jackal. It was good even though it was short. Thank the lord for them because I started TWEAKING.

Hey what are some tips to keep in mind as to not make the classic fairy tail character writing mistakes?

Fairy Tail is a very predictable manga whose flaws only get more exaggerated as you continue reading it, so this is a very easy question to answer:

Story demands conflict. The best conflicts are exciting, and predictability is is the enemy of excitement. Switch things up every now and again, and when you have an arc villain, keep the possibility open that someone different defeats them.

If your genre is action, then it is sold on great feats, and everyone has to have their fair share. This one is important for the Lucy and Levy fans--you can't expect fans to be satisfied with 'depth of character' if the main characters can be divided into Those Who Eat Dragons and Those Who Eat Heartwarming Speeches. Great character introspection that's anemic in the action department, and great spectacles of action with no interesting character, are both extremes fans don't want to put up with.

Scale is not as important as personal stakes. A big monster that will destroy the world is not interesting, because anyone can rally against that. Some of the best conflicts Fairy Tail gave us were Mirajane going demon mode to protect her brother from Freed, Cana's drive to prove her worth so as to be able to face her father, and Laxus doing everything but putting Ivan 6 feet into the concrete for playing games on his name.

Constrain yourself. The temptation to scale up can outpace your ability to provide interesting threats and antagonists. Nine Demon Gates was already pushing Mashima's ability to make antagonists interesting to watch, and 12 Spriggans absolutely demolished it.

Romance demands chemistry, and chemistry must be shown rather than told just like everything else. My throat has never recovered from the way Gruvia, Gajevy, and Elfgreen were suddenly getting shoved down my throat from the word 'go' in the Tenrou Island arc. Showing the characters blushing and acting tsundere and 'liking' each other is not enough. Give us something worth eating.

Decided to draw some fanart of one of my fave roles that Ricco Fajardo voices; Jackal from Fairy Tail! Really enjoyed his performance as this character especially since it contrasts so nicely with some of his other roles like Mirio from MHA. Been honestly working on this piece off and on for a while now so finally happy to have completed it! It was fun drawing Jackal’s 3 forms! Just hope this explosive liminal space makes sense in a cinematic poster kind of way. XD

Fairy Tail Disbanded

A newspaper sits on a bar top. The title printed in thick black letters. Fairy Tail Disbanded.

Letters blur into pictures and notes, all connected by strings.

Lucy is crumbled on the floor in front of the board.

She just wants her friends to come back.

Abandoned on a side table, Aquarius broken key comes into focus and Lucy's hunched form blurs in the background.

The scene fades away to Natsu and Happy  sitting around a campfire.

Natsu turns his head to say something "Hey guys do you-" then stops.

Because his team isn't there.

He clenches his fists, knuckles turning alarmingly white as he stares into the campfire.

"I will get stronger."

He had to get stronger.

His was no longer a quest to find his missing father, but to avenge him.

The fire roars higher and when it goes back down it's Erza we see, staring at herself in the mirror.

She lifts up the piece of hair that always covers her eye.

An image flashes of her being tortured back in Tartaros. Kyoka's face and that awful creature.

She lets the lock of scarlet hair fall back into its original place.

The mirror ripples and reveals Gray in the shower.

The water streaming down his bent head, and flowing over his arm, and down his torso.

A puff of white steam comes out his mouth but he's still shivering

Why is it so cold?

It's almost like he can't feel anything. Numb to the world.

His gut clenches as he feels that darkness creep up his skin, itching at his face.

The final gift from his father, a parasite.

He twists the shower knob, with the red letter H, on full blast.

The image cuts to darkness before lighting up again a moment later.

Spotlights turn on and we see Wendy and Chelia, side by side behind a red show curtain.

Chelia smiles at her and Wendy smiles back, but her eyes don't hold it.

Chelia turns away and Wendy's smile curls downwards, her hand clutching her new Lamia Scale emblem.

The scene frizzles and cuts for a second and you see a Fairy Tail mark, then it goes back to the snake woman.

The snake woman warps into a cross, the sleeve of a Magic Council uniform.

Levy is seated in a chair, quill in hand as she fills out the council papers on her desk.

Gajeel is standing by her side, munching on an iron rod, his shadow over her.

Suddenly the pen stills.

Levy is staring at a picture in a glass frame. A group picture of fairy tail.

Gajeel stops eating, setting down the chunk of metal he's been gnawing on. Appetite lost.

"We'll get it back, right?" Levy's voice shakes, her eyes still glued to the picture.

Gajeel places his hand over hers. "Y-yeah."

The view pans up, from a wooden ceiling to a gray sky, then back down and we see Juvia sitting in the rain on a bench, water plastering her bangs to her forehead.

Water flows down her face in a never ending river.

Is she crying? Or is it just the rain?

Her hands are in her lap, the signature teru teru doll sagging between her limp fingers

She's all alone again,

and this time she doesn't have an umbrella

Water sloshes, from clear to brown.

A waiter sets the drink in front of the brunette.

Cana is hunched over in her stool, for once not looking lively.

She picks up the drink, bringing it to her lips

then sets it down again.

Cana closes her eyes. It's just not the same.

Eyes open, one with a lightning shaped scar.

Laxus stares off into the distance, his fur coat rustling in the wind.

A cough builds in his throat and he chokes it down, but not without being noticed.

Freed is behind him, in view over his shoulder.

Evergreen and Bixlow are even further back, just dots and lines.

Freed looks at the man with concern, he keeps his mouth closed, but Laxus hears the unspoken words.

His companion's worry is practically radiating from him.

He sighs, pushing back his blonde hair, in that awful new hairstyle no one likes.

Where is that old geezer?

Thunder booms, soon followed by a crack of lightning, so bright it could burn your retinas.

Makarov is sitting in the hull of a ship, floor rocking with the tide, devastation written on his face.

He looks up at an invisible something. "Tell me, First. Was it worth it?"

For a split second you swear you see a small girl standing next to him, with curly hair so long it almost hits the floor.

She looks down at her bare feet.

"No. It wasn't."

A/N: I feel like in the manga everyone moved on too quickly, bc yay we're happy and together again! They were separated for a whole year. There should be some drawback and pain from that. I feel like Mashima did a good job with Lucy, but what about everyone else? Both Natsu and Gray lost their dad's again, Laxus is kinda dying, and Erza was tortured for gods sake. So I made this angsty thing. It's a mash up of headcanons, a oneshot fic, and a video script. At first I imagined this as a kick ass montage but I could never make it myself so I wrote this. If anyone wants to try and make a video edit or an animation of this, please do so!
