1st of april | self-care
today is easter monday in AU, wala kaming pasok. so i went to legazpi for my doctor's appointment, and finally get to talk with my doctor na parang pinag samang alden richards at ben&ben sa kapogian, chariz! haha told J about it, inasar pa ako haha.

Chapter 6: R E S T L E S S Part 4
Vulcan was enjoying a lovely sail around the island of Mua Pel'am. The sunshine didn't stick around for very long though, and as rain clouds covered the area, Vulcan spotted a familiar blond. He sailed the boat over to the sandy beach where Nila was dancing in the trickling rain. "It's dangerous out here, ya know." Vulcan stated, approaching her with a playful smile. Nila stopped dancing. "Well if it isn't the valiant sailor, come to save the mermaids again?" she laughed. Vulcan felt his skin flush at what she said and he cleared his throat in the chuckle. "Come in out of the rain, I'll cook you something. You've got to be getting cold out there."
He sailed her around to the other side of the island, showing her where the volcano was. The smoke rising from it bellowed with the sudden cool rain falling into it. Back around to his modest blue house. In the oven, the apple pie was already filling the kitchen with the sweet sticky smell as it baked. It didn't take him long to whip up a quick, warm meal for the both of them.
"This is so good, Vulcan. The flavors just sing!" She stated gladly, clearing her plate as Vulcan did the same. Just as he was about to respond, the bell rang for the apple pie and he stood up to get it out of the oven. "Thank you..." he replied. "I mean it. I can tell, you must really love cooking." He chuckled, smelling the warm pie and setting the metal pan down on the table where Nila was. "That means a lot to me Nila. I do love cooking. It's a fun science." Nila wrinkled her nose toward him at the most nerdy response she had ever heard. She was about to say something quirky, but the house rattled and shook with the bang of thunder outside. The light rain and quickly turned into a violent storm. Waves crashed around the island. Nila looked out the window. "I don't suppose I'll be going anywhere for a while..." She stated absently, looking down at his the back of his hand on the table and tracing the lines of each of his fingers. "...I'd love to thank you for all this delicious food, and even tastier company." Vulcan swallowed the lump in his throat, her soft finger tips sliding over each of his knuckles. Nila wasted no time waiting for his response and stood up from her seat, grabbing his white button up shirt and crashing her lips into his so hard it hurt. His body reacted beyond his control and his hands settled on her back. The storm raged outside while she pushed him against his closet door.
When he woke a few hours later, Nila was already gone, but the smell of her lingered all over his house. Eyes closed he licked his lips, the salty taste bringing a smile. This wasn't the same as what he had with Isla, this wasn't love, it was pure, carnal desire, desire for him. He felt desperately wanted by Nila.
His eyes opened and he felt a cold sensation drop into his stomach and he realized what he did. Maybe Nila won't tell Isla. Maybe she won't know.

Sarcastic StarBharat Reviews-Episode 22: In which horny deer rishis set off a chain of events.
Hello everyone! I’m back after a VERY long hiatus, had some real life issues to deal with, along with the aggravation of changing an url and some online drama too. And I’m right in time for Diwali, too, yay! Happy Diwali, people! Also Happy Children’s day!
Tagging my usual taglist: @ambitiousandcunning @medhasree @shaonharryandpannisim @hermioneaubreymiachase @hindumyththoughts @chaanv @ratnas-musings @whydoyoucareaboutmyusername @justahappyreindeer @milesbianmorales @allegoriesinmediasres @pratigyakrishnaki @iamnotthat @adishaktis @ratnas-musings. Enjoy your day, everyone!
Review is under the cut.
PS: Nila updates- The Sarcastic StarBharat review of episode 18 is missing from my blog for some reason, I’ll reupload it. Also, for anyone who’s listening to my song covers, the next items are Karam Ki Talwar from Arjun the Warrior Prince, Moh Moh Ke Dhage from Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Jo Beji Thi Dua, from Shangai.
Okay. Rehash is in order, along with some new nicknames. Till the last episode, Madri has reached Hastinapur, the precap of the last episode makes it clear that this is the episode with horny deer rishis.
I had made a numbering mistake in counting the number of canon fails, my bad, so, as of now, we’re at canon fail #49.
Here’s the nickname rehash and additions to be made-
1. Bhishm-Mr. Paragon of Perfection
2. Dhritrashtra- Mr. Drama Queen (Honorary mention-DisasterRashtra, courtesy of @iamnotthat)
3. Pandu-Honey Boy/Lord of Cheesy Lines
4. Gandhari-Ms. Always Patnidharma
5. Shakuni-Mr. Ominous Music/Mr. Annoying Poseur
6. Karn-Mr. Glitterwash
7. Kunti-Ms. Melodrama/Lady of Cheesy Lines
8. Amba (deceased)-Psycho Princess
9. Satyavati-Psycho Mum
10. Vichitraveerya (deceased)-Drunk Kid
Here are the new additions:
11. Vidur (finally)- Picking the line where he likens himself to a thorn during Pandu’s coronation, he’s Mr. Weepy Thorn.
12. Madri-Ms. Smarmy Tears
13. Krishn-(Parody version, anyway, also, FINALLY) Mr. Excess Gyaandaan.
Now, let’s get to business.
Alright, so, last episode, Gandhari was told that Drama Queen wants her in his chambers. Being the aadarsh, Ms. Always Patnidharma that she is, she goes immediately, and that’s where today’s episode of choice begins.
She stumbles in and stutters out her usual ‘Husband?’ (International viewers, please note, Hotstar has rolled out the English subtitles for your most unfavorite show. It translates ‘Arya’ as Lord, but I’m keeping the ‘husband’ variation, because no.)
Anyway. He shushes her. ‘Don’t say anything, Gandhari, just listen. The mind is so weird, isn’t it?’ Okay…why this sudden volte face? Ah, he’s trying to apologise, I guess? He says that he was absorbed in his negative emotions of hurt, grief and jealousy, but when no news of Honey Boy came from the battlefield, he realized that he still worries and cares for his little brother, and that he was merely unfortunate, not conspired against, concluding that he was unjust to Honey Boy. O…kay? Should I count this as a canon fail? Canon Dhritrashtra can be two-faced, so eh, leave it.
Ms. Patnidharma is shaking her head next to him, because of course, she’s that much of a doormat. ‘I was unfair to you too. I had rejected you, Gandhari, but if I realise my mistake, will you accept me?’ Ah. I see what this is. Anvil-shadowing. Just before Pandu ‘loses’ his ability to ‘be a husband’ Drama Queen and Patnidharma make up with each other. Newsflash, writers: Nothing is this clean cut.
Of course, that was precisely the opening Ms. Patnidharma was waiting for, so she feels her husband up as they hug. Drama Queen’s heart, apparently, very anomalously, is overflowing with happiness, now that he has unloaded his weakness onto Patnidharma, or so he says. Don’t believe him, though, don’t be the naïve idiot Patnidharma is, because that weakness of his wreaks bloody wrecking ball havoc in the future.
‘So what if I don’t become the King?’ Excuse me. I just choked on my water. What’s up with this volte-face? Just what? ‘I have more respect here than the King himself!’ I think I’m gonna count this as canon fail #50 because nah, he ain’t gonna say this in any adaptation that’s sane. And of course, since he’s randy too, it seems, he goes ‘When you give me a son, he’ll be the eldest son and King after Pandu. I’ll also get the pleasure of being a King. Will you give me the gift of such a talented son?’ Ah. So that’s what the volte-face is for. Canon fail #50 cancelled. Drama Queen would say anything at all to get his way, that’s right. Patnidharma, predictably, goes all gushy. ‘Yes, husband, for your sake, I’ll go to the portals of Yamlok themselves!’ Ah, sheesh, sometimes, watching this show makes me think that I should projectile-yeet myself to Yamlok.
He laughs. ‘When the time comes,’ he says, ‘we’ll go to the portals of death together, Gandhari.’ Well, that, at least, is true. He continues that they still have many happy moments to experience. She nods, melting into his embrace.
Scene changes to a green vista, the whickering of horses heard. Madri, henceforth known as Ms. Smarmy Tears, is laughing, Ms. Melodrama being stony faced and stoic. (That’s a change, though the music manages to make even THAT dramatic) The camera focuses on a deer, and Smarmy asks Honey Boy to stop, because it’s a beautiful deer. Okay…I know what’s coming up next. Anvil-shadowing, anyone? I realise it was very long ago when we were introduced to Ms. Melodrama, but I’ll give you a short rehash. She was introduced saving a deer from hunters. Anyone got the hint? It’s an obvious ‘Madri is an evil witch!’ gambit. Please do not take it. I know that in canon, Kunti and Madri probably had a fractious relationship given the whole fracas over the boon, but I refuse to believe Madri would be this transparently biatch-y.
And…bingo! Smarmy says that the deer is absolutely unique, and follows it up with a request for its skin. Melodrama, of course, is having none of it. She passionately launches into defence of the deer’s children who’d be orphaned, basically echoing her very first piece of dialogue on this show. Do you think there’s a chance that they dubbed it in? I mean…I wouldn’t be able to say that twice with a straight face. But, whatever gives, I guess. Fawn get orphaned often, goes Smarmy. It’s not like I’m asking you for the position of the Queen, can’t you do this much for me? Since StarB has a thing of making women either bitches or doormat ditches, its Honey Boy who cuts in. ‘Speak of good things alone.’ Did this guy get a theology class between the ‘war’ and this moment? ‘I’ll get the deer for you, the rest of you please stay here.’ And then the show takes yet another opportunity to set Melodrama as good and Smarmy as bad, as Melodrama tries to give Smarmy a moral lesson about abstaining from killing for no reason, and Smarmy going all casteist (not sure if that’s the right word, since afaik Kunti’s maternal family are also Kshatriyas? Yadava is not one family. It’s an entire dynasty.) And here’s canon fail #50 and #51. #50 is the fact that Pandu, in canon, hunts the deer because he wants to. Madri has nothing to do with it in the text. #51 because the jibe about Yadavs being shepherds that Madri makes smacks of a misconception about politics in the MBH. The idea of ‘Yadavas’ being shepherds is present because of the lore of Krishn and Balaram in Gokul. While I’m sure there might be some branches of the family that may dabble in those pursuits, typically, considering the social structure of that time, Kunti’s family is of quite royal pedigree.
The scene switches to Honey Boy looking for deer, listening attentively to the rustling leaves. Really, this question goes for canon too, haven’t these guys learnt a thing at all from the whole Dashrath/Sravan Kumar fracas? That it is TOTALLY not a good idea to just randomly shoot in a random forest, anyone? At least sight the prey a little, no?
Regardless, he shoots an arrow, the tell-tale thunk is heard, followed by a human scream (the typically serial-ish ‘nahi, nahi!’ aka ‘no, no!’). Alarmed, he sets off in pursuit of the sound. The camera focuses on a bloody arrow then showing us a rishi and a rishin. ‘Maharishi Kidam?’ exclaims Pandu. ‘It was you?’ ‘What have you done? You shot an arrow without recognizing me! I was dallying (read: deer hanky-panky-ing) with my wife in the form of a deer, and you shot an arrow without considering that the grace and the form of the deer could only mean it is such?’ Okay, for all that I want to call this canon fail #52, I’ll be honest…because such a scene, at least one of Pandu killing Kidama when he’s in sexual congress with his wife in the form of a deer does happen. Sometimes, *sigh* canon itself is quite strange.
But…in the whole of this thing, I have an observation to make, a few questions to ask, in the context of this serial:
1. Madri saw only one deer? What was the deer rishi doing, a deer mating ritual of some sort? Where was the wife then?
2. Does what he said mean that there might be…other rishis doing deer hanky panky?
3. Kidama was a rishi, right? He’d have figured out Pandu wants the ‘deer’ when he saw them and vanished? He could have, IDK, sprinted off real quick, or turned back into human, or just vanished once more. Why escalate it this much?
Honey Boy is very contrite and begs for forgiveness. Canon fail #53. In canon, he basically goes, well, Kings hunt deer, why cry about it? (That is, the dialogue given to Madri to establish her as ‘bad’)  The deer rishi brings up the Dashrath point I gave above and says that Honey Boy’s crime can’t be pardoned, that he shouldn’t have killed a man in congress with his wife, so he curses him that he’ll die the moment he’ll have congress with any woman. Canon fail #54. The original curse specifies ‘his loved one’ not any random woman.
Cue dramatic panoramic shot and dramatic title bgm. Honey Boy is in tears. The rishi dies.
Scene changes and we’re back in Hastina, where the court fool is entering. He says he has a lot of questions. Mr. Weepy Thorn prompts him to ask his questions. So there’s this long drawn out riddle session that’s set up to predict that Gandhari is pregnant, and Drama Queen will be experiencing the love of a son soon. There’s happiness all round, lots of hugs too. Of course, this show takes no rest from anvil shadowing either, so exactly at this moment enters Honey Boy with his wives. Honey Boy is welcomed with joy and immediately apprised of the news. In his head, the dying deer rishi’s words echo, even as his wives smile by his side. (Ah, apparently, there’s anvil juxtaposition, too! Whee!)
Anyway. Satyavati notices he ain’t looking happy and she asks him if he got what she said. He manages to sponge her off, hug his brother and congratulate him. When he does that, Annoying Poseur closes his eye.
As he ascends the throne, deer rishi’s words come back to him, asking what kind of a King he is. Honey Boy refrains from climbing the final stair, turning. He says that he has something of great importance to announce, confessing that he has killed Kidama and is no longer worthy of being a King.
His announcement is met with shock all around, as he renounces the throne of Hastina. Cue dramatic title bgm again. Camera focuses on Satyavati (who’s quite less psycho nowadays), then panning one by one to Drama Queen, Paragon of Perfection, Smarmy, Melodrama, Patnidharma, Ambika, Ambalika, a grinning Poseur (both eyes open), back to Honey boy and Mr. Paragon as he drops his angvastr limply.
Scene changes as Mr. Perfection walks inside Honey Boy’s chambers and they have an argument about his responsibilities. Honey Boy puts forward that for all that Satyavati wants a worthy King, he is no longer worthy, that even Indra renounced heaven for the killing of a sage and meditated for eons, that mere charity and abstinence as suggested by Mr. Thorn and Kripacharya won’t be enough. He continues that the duty of a King, the man who holds the royal scepter is to dispense justice to his people. He asks who would mete justice out on a King? The camera pans out to Mr. Perfection, standing mute, ending the episode.
Alright, this whole thing is canon fail #55. Pandu does not go back to Hastina, he sets out immediately to atone. Also #56, his wives know everything as he does. He doesn’t keep it hidden from them.
Precap: ‘But the crime was ours’ says Smarmy. ‘the punishment, however, has to be borne by our yet unborn children!’ ‘You can’t ever have children.’ Announces Honey Boy, going on to inform them of the curse.

Small Dec Wins
i cant believe its December already tf?!?!?!
1 - poli KIA today. saw a mother who cant feel the movement of their baby. the senior midwife tried to find the baby’s heart beat but not finding it. she said she hopes she were wrong. fell asleep at 3pm-ish, woke up super hungry. ate. i swear i feel like my weight when i measured it this morning was ~52, but after eating its close to 54 lol. eating banana and chocolate nextar is yummm. dalbang today is hella funny as always and suuper endearing. fell asleep after dalbang, didnt study hufttt
2 - today im at igd but joined azkia at vk for a bit to see partus. its not that im scared (maybe not consciously) but when the mom was being stitched i felt lightheaded, nausea, cold extremities, and i even had to squat multiple times because i couldnt stand. But i felt better after the partus so maybe seeing it was the cause. I did not feel scared at all honestly ._. and i’ve seen multiple partus before. i dont know why. i can literally feel my symphatetic tone giving out lmaoo. tried matcha latte with Cy matcha powder. it tasted more milky and grassy. mom thought it tasted like nori. i prever cocodeli alll the way (although Cy is cheaper). i think it also has a bit of caffeine that made me feel awake like a normal person should be.
3 - today is vk but there’s no patient so thank god i saw sumn yesterday. did some cicil ukmppd in the morning accompanied by matcha latte. tried to order dufan tickets and i couldnt find my damn ktp...... fell asleep after worrying about said ktp
4 - matcha latte in the car, swab at lmk, went to dufan by tj with willy, had quite some funn with atikah nila willy amel pupuy. first time trying kereta misteri, quite fun. it rained after ashar so we didnt ride anything after that. turns out my ktp was at barel’s fotocopy lmaoo thankyou ara for picking it. went to solaria ancol afterwards, picked up by mom. i didnt tell her in the morning that i was going to dufan lmao. plenary @ zoom 19 pm. rapat nemo. fell asleep.
5 - went to lmk by tj to surprise clara. went back home and fell asleep. didnt rly do anything afterwards because this ragged body gets tired easily and i dont eat much recently. i can feel the difference before and after eating and there’s actual energy after eating. its not that im hungry though, but i feel less energized. felt annoyed terrible and just wanna lay in bed (this is unrelated with the less food in my system). even though i met up with friends
6 - after LOTS of sleeping i feel somehow better but not to a ‘normal’ amount. watched kimbab family videos. did power vinyasa by doogether with fianti. took a shower and ate indomie and i felt quite normal, except i slept again wtf. i thought i would have the second half of the day but nah. did self tryouts with fianti, 150 FDI questions. I got 96/150 right. huft. such a great reality check
7 - poli lansia with dokter isip, matcha latte in the afternoon rly helps me not sleeping the day away, packed up for depok
8 - poli umum with dr gita (helped doing phys exam), packed the rest of my stuff, ate some risol and matcha lattteee in the car, took swab results, picked up hazmats etc, zoom discussion with FT PKM Kalideres (dr gita) on the way, and i finally arrived at tamel. dinner is granola with vsoy. Taste like a slightly wet granola bar, nutty fiber-y vibe
9 - walked in ui with ara, managed to jog from the trees near st ui until kuburan bikun wow. i reached that point where my leg and heart were going in a steady unburdened pace and my willpower to keep going on was tested. tried the signature steak in Double U Steak by Chef Widi, while ara tried ribeye. the ribeye was more tender than the signature. but the seasoning in the signature is quite delish, salty and oily without being too much (like futago ya). read poppyland fast pass from ara’s phone omg season 1 is finally complete! went to coftof (omgggg i miss this place), it looks different now. ordered matcha latte and it tasted weirdly like a soy milk although ara doesnt feel that way. the matcha tasted weird. wont repurchase. read chainsaw man, its so entertaining, funny and deep at the same time. denji mess around and be too naive sometimes but hes lowkey hot lmaooo. aki is lovvvvve.
10 - first day at rsud budhi asih. had moesli combined with granola + vsoy for brekkie. went back to tamel at 3 pm. it rained when i got back. bought warteg lugina worth 32k. walked to sbux for tumbler day its been a while since i had their matcha latte. it tasted quite good, but not as good as i remembered (?) maybe bcs i asked for non fat milk. sbux closes at 8 pm for now hikss
11 - left tamel at about 7:10 and arrived on budhi asih at 08:54 yalll the traffic. Icu. Bought eatlah double and ate the salted egg part. Nap. ICU discussion with dr Dedi @8pm. I presented from my phone to save data hehe,,
12 - woke up at 8, eatlah brown butter for brekkie, symcard, saladstop's caesar salad for lunch (quite 'eneg' because i didnt eat the cheese evenly so the chicken and cheese were eaten last after the vegs are out. The vegetable's not that variative, and the non vegs make the salad taste delicious (albeit maybe not THAT healthy). Evening jog @UI and i realized i can get wifi sitting near the lake n library. Stared at the night sky from my room, i swear the sky seems super clear. Saw tiny fireworks in the distance
13 - ate muesli and saladstop’s banana walnut cake, symcard, bought moon chicken and saladpoint. lunch was egg salad and the wings. the original tasted so good like??? maybe i havent had msg for a while. also tried big bang, not too spicy which is nice. cicil ukmppd. put my laundry at buih barel lmaoo. try out with fianti. got 70/100
14 - breakfast was salad and leftover chicken. today was bangsal with angga armand. the geriatric patient has a loud murmur yall (and scoliosis, so much that the heart looks distorted). went to margo city to see sales, but when i think about it id rather just thrift stuff lmao. bought lugina. slept through kuliah guru besar. writing this in yellow truck coffee, that had 2 customers on the 1st floor including me. tried banana milk. yall after trying to drink less sugar the beverage tasted super sweet. my headache just goes away. sugar is magic but unhealthy whyyyyy.
15 - igd siang with indah. This body sure is frail. Did cbd with dr afifah AND rescheduled pleno. Rip mobile data i have to use for hotspot.
16 - ok today. Inserted goedel and did bagging. I bagged the patient the wrong way at first (too much). Thankfully the nurses were kind and taught us a lot :) watched some bts content. I feel like after reading househusband my tiktok page is now immensely funnier. Dalbang is also hilarious as always. Put on ginseng sheet mask (smells quite strong)
17 - bangsal. snacked on fried chicken. matcha latte starbucks (turns out its quite full here) and liqo about keeping our tongues in check
18 - arrived at icu. And then opened line. Turns out hadin's swab is positive, so agung kak iman and me have to isolate and swab. So i went back. Ordered kanayam chicken and fish and tempe. Nasi liwet tasted goood damn. Sleptt in the afternoon. Pleno at 4 pm (entered the room 4:30). Had no motivation to do anything. Azkia is getting married! Spent 20 mins formulating words to congratulate her lmaoo
19 - osce simulation, kak nanu was so kind and encouraging. Did try out solid. Lunch is fish bite pasta with melted cheese (cause i had to reach the minimum amount for promo). It got cold so its not that good (pairing it with self made mentai sauce, mixing the mayo and chili, is way much better). Jogged in ui (and searched for wifi). Approached by someone selling haraus coffee (25k), saying that some earnings will be for charity. Its basically sweet. Can barely taste the coffee.
20 - had kanayam for lunch (brekkie is almost always muesli lately). The nasi liwet tasted much better the first time. Walked to yellow truck coffee in the pouring rain. Got banana milk. Saw webinar ksk (electrolyte correction and dr nadhira talkshow). What i got from it is that, dr nadhira is a different person from the first place. Shes visionary, knows what she want and not afraid to reach it. The mindset is different. Even if i try as hard as her, her propensity to growth is different. Cicil ukmppd. Try out with fianti (got 72/100). Talked for an hour about love and marriage and engagements (there are so much of it lately)
21 - leftover kanayam for brekkie, also ate roti salman in cikini st. swab today (met kris, nessa and others). muesli for lunch. i thought my body felt a bit warm, so i decided to find sumn to eat. tried kedai abu bakar’s spaghetti brulee. its okay. maybe because its not too cheesy or meaty, mainly bechamel sauce. the one pupuy made is much tastier. finished the whole 10x20 portion in 2 eating sesh. cicil ukmppd @ bed in the evening (somehow felt refreshed enough to be able to concentrate in bed)
22 - went early to icu to put dops form. lugina for early lunch. i feel like my metabolism is faster? or my body is not so much in calorie deficit mode anymore and it got greedier lmao i used to just ignore hunger but not now, for health. starbiiies tumbler day. ordered black tea latte with non fat milk and vanilla syrup (because raspberry syrup is no more). did cbd geri ppt.
23 - finally knew the swab result bcs kak iman asked kak farras. thankfully negative. igd with jordi. quite a few chances to do iv line, but i failed 2 times. managed to do iv injection to insert 2 drugs. saw the worst cpr ive ever seen in my life. its too slow, with maximal interruption. fish bite for lunch. wasted the rest of my day
24 - originally intended to run but i cant bring myself out of bed. packed up my stuff. picked up by mom. got the paper result of swab, got ksk from kelvyn @ capitol. can finally drink self-made matcha latte again, but it tasted horrible. i know cy matcha doesnt have that much going on, but even this is low even for them. previously i was starting to get used to the grassy smell.
25 - my lil bro remarked “maybe shes depressed because she doesnt have her chair”. fuck yall. this “depression” that im in is caused by this very place and the people. and im supposed to still muster the strength to study for ukmppd AND get my face together for solid book photoshoot. that shit is too much. this is why the money that goes to cafe, and the bike ride there is worth it for my sanity. after showering, things felt a bit better. had absolutely no will to study today. ate muesli with a bit of matcha latte.
26 - muesli for breakfast. matcha latte is lyfff ive probably said this before but it ~somehow~ makes me feel normal and not in a slump. like im a regular person. with normal moods. and not wanting to sleep all the time. i try to do ukmppd exercises but the pace is so fucking slow, bcs im distracted by get rich haha,,,. the latest potn update (64) is omgggg the mixed feelings? love? hate? anger? everything and nothing? the ~tension and passion~? im obsessed. watched a ton of bts content today and yesterday lmao.
27 - nasi kebuli for brekkie. went to flavola, im the first customer lmao. tried kopi susu coklat, tasted quite close enough to janjiw’s kopi soklat. had the same ~improved mood and concentration~ effect. tried to read ksk. bought milky banana 1L from puyo to give dajen (its his bday yesterday) (i feel prompted (?) to gift people when theyve given a present to me) (because my love lang is not gift giving at all so i barely think abt gifts lmao). talked with sum 33 ipa guys @ dajens house. yay appropriate amount of social battery charging. tryout with fianti, padi this time. got 67/100.
28 - ate muesli with matcha latte after breakfast. cicil ukmppd. Listened to yoongi's vlive until i fell asleep lol. 2 burger and salad for dinner. omggg hansol revealed his gf.
29 - spent half of my day tidying up the mess that is my room. figured out what to wear for solid book photoshoot with fianti, ara. matcha latte terosss. phd for dinner.
30 - breakfast is muesli with cimory choco hazelnut. mom made matcha chocolate brownies. tryna study. slow pace terosss. read some padi materials. dalbang.
31 - bought vsoy low sugar and multigrain. moved my body a bit to youtube videos. showered. felt better. it also rained (which i love). the pleasant mood only lasted til the evening. did nothing from 7pm even though im not sleepy. cant tell when did i start to sleep
and just like that, 2020 kkeut. its sad to say i dont rly remember much remarkable things this year. other than the trip and memories with minor rotation friends. i just remember wasting my life away in my house. i guess that’s the danger of living a monotone life. sometimes you gotta invest some time to have fun, to have motivation to live on and do things. not doing this makes it difficult to live day by day. and friends. meeting friends, seeing new stuff. that helps me live.

feral-lust:
The Miqo’te would find the cock already spilling thick precum out of the hole at the flared tip, preparing himself for the breeding he expected. The woman’s tongue was already pleasing the large beast greatly, and by the movements that had him smearing his cock against her face, it was hard to misinterpret his pleasure.
Once he felt her tongue closer to the head, more of the precum would spill out, giving her a good taste of the salty, musky, so very animalistic taste of what awaited her.
“Poor boy... Must have been so long without someone draining these fat balls of yours.” Nila murmured, rubbing her face against the stallion’s cock and savoring the musky heat throbbing on her cheek. Her free hand slid back up to the beast’s overfull balls, smearing her spit from earlier all over his sack and giving him gentle squeezes even as she rubbed him down. Man or beast, the Miqo’te knew that all males loved having their balls played with as she worked them over.
Opening her mouth wide, Nila engulfed the flared tip in front of her lips, her eyes rolling backwards at the intense taste greeting her tongue. So vividly animal and masculine, Nila felt herself getting hard in her pants, lines of spit from where she was drooling spilling down onto her shirt. Stroking the stallion as she slowly pressed forward, the Miqo’te’s soft gags and slurps could be heard if one listened closely from outside the stall, the redhead hard at work at milking the stallion of more of that rich precum spilling on her tongue.

Traveling gak selalu menyenangkan. Banyak hal ngeselin seperti:
Badai salju, hujan deras, demo besar kadang tak terprediksi.
Langit mendung aja bikin foto gak maksimal. Apalagi melihat si dia selfie dengan pacar barunya, mendadak curah air mata meningkat drastis. Bumi gonjang-ganjing.
5. Kehilangan barang berharga
Selain flu, biasanya kita rentan diare akibat keracunan makanan. Buncit Mules Lemes. Parahnya lagi bila kesepian membunuhmu. Insomnia berubah menjadi Amnesia.
8. Annoying Human
Manusia bau ketek yang membuatmu berhalusinasi. Turis yang ngomong keras-keras sampe satu gerbong denger. Pelayan judes yang ga sopan. Emak yang membiarkan anaknya teriak-teriak di pesawat. Penumpang yang asik telfonan padahal udah mau take off. Manusia yang suka kentut di lift. Cowok yang memakai bikini.
You can always find some negative in every trip. But there’s always beautiful sights and heavenly food that makes you forget those little shit.
They’re all part of experience. That things exist to make us appreciate pleasure.
Perfect travel isn’t real and real travel isn’t perfect.
This is what adventure feels like

Long Flights from Jogja → Singapore → Paris
There’s no better feeling than looking out the plane window and realising you’re almost there
Orange Juice and Cognac. Crafting my own beverages
Fun fact: Food and drinks taste odd while the plane is flying 30,000 feet. From the humidity and low air pressure, the taste in food is quite different. From the high altitude, our ability to taste sweet flavours drops to 20% and saltiness drops 30%
Ada Red & White Wine, Cognac, Gin, Vodka, Beer, Singapore Sling and Cocktails. Bikin enak bobo!
Tumblr media
Charles de Gaulle Airport to Paris City Centre
Keep in mind that these vending machines do not sell Pass Navigo card and only take coins or smart-chip enabled credit cards. Using a gate with a green arrow lit on its front (red X’s signify exit gates) insert your paper ticket into the yellow ticket reader (should be on your right, that gate’s green arrow should be pointing at you and you should be using your right hand to submit the ticket) then retrieve it from the top arm panel on your right
Remember to keep your ticket or passes handy as ‘ticket checkers’ frequent these trains.
Tumblr media
RER B Blue Line stops at Gare du Nord, Chatelet-Les Halles, and Saint Michel Notre Dame Station
No kartu kredit.
How to get around Paris
Tumblr media
Lumayan hemat.
Tumblr media
Download the train map from here: parisbytrain.com
(Note!
Kalo belum expired, selalu simpan tiket, jangan langsung dibuang apalagi Mobilis.

A 2-minute walk from Eurostar service at Gare du Nord station

The city of light! Paris is a fun place to get lost
Autumn in Paris
Di akhir Oktober, Paris bener-bener dingin. Cuaca berkisar diantara 4°-12°C. Gerimis sering menghampiri, sebentar turun, sebentar berhenti. Mendung-mendung galau.
1. Spot the beauty inside Sacré-Cœur Basilica
Tumblr media
The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris. It’s a roman Catholic church in the heart of Montmartre, the highest point of the city
The painting on the ceiling over the main altar is gorgeous and instantly grabs your eye as you walk inside
It represents the risen Christ, clothed in white and with arms extended, revealing a golden heart. Surrounding him, a world of adorers is represented, including the Saints who protect France: the Virgin Mary and Saint Michael, Saint Joan of Arc, as well as a personification of France offering her crown and Pope Leo XIII offering the world
One of the most remarkable in all Europe. Built in 1898, it is the last great instrument built by the illustrious Aristide Cavaillé-Coll
The Grand Organ and The White statue of Saint Michael. Organ pipa klasik dan patung malaikat pelindung gereja. Mempelajari sejarah sambil jalan-jalan memang menyenangkan.
Tumblr media
Saint Michael is an archangel – The protector – The guardian of the Church. A spiritual warrior that helps the faithful combat against Evil
Sacré-Cœur
Iconic, domed white church, completed in 1914, with interior mosaics, stained-glass windows & crypt
35 Rue du Chevalier de la Barre, 75018 Paris
Hours: Senin – Minggu 6AM–10:30PM
Admission is FREE. You can light a candle for a donation as well. If you wanna go to the top of the dome, it costs 7 Euro
Direction: Jules Joffrin (M° 12) + Montmartrobus (Place du Tertre stop) Google Maps Location
The place is very crowded because it is a wonderful place in the top of the hill. You can see the entire city from here
It is also the place to “lock” your love
Tumblr media
This beautiful church is located at the top of the hill and overlooks panoramic view across the beautiful city
Alunan harpa mengalun diantara keramaian.
Scam!
Watch out for the scam artists who try to put a bracelet on your hand. They try to tie a string on your finger and then ask for a ridiculous amount of money. Just ignore them.
Be careful of people asking you to sign petitions because they are a fraud. They stop you and their other friend try to pick pocket you
On the streets in front of the church has a lots of little crepes cafe’s, souvenir shops, boutiques & artists to paint your portrait
2. Enjoy Hot Chocolate at Angelina
The warm buttery of fresh croissants and Pain au chocolat
It’s made with three different chocolate from Africa. It was served with whipped cream. Thick, rich and creamy
Cafe legendaris yang membawa saya ke tahun 1900-an. Zaman dimana para pelukis dan penulis menyalurkan bakat mereka sambil minum teh. Konon fashion designer Coco Chanel suka nongkrong disini.
I try their famous hot chocolate ‘L’Africain’. Saat menyeruputnya pertama kali, seketika saya tersenyum, ‘Hmmm…’ Pas kentalnya, ga terlalu manis, ga terlalu pahit. Sedang-sedang menghanyutkan.
Kemudian saya menggigit croissant, memasukkan sesendok whipped cream ke mulut, dan menyeruputnya sekali lagi. ‘It was amazingly melt in my mouth. Airy, flaky, and buttery’.
Angelina Paris
Legendary 1903 tea room offering refined pastries & hot chocolate in a belle epoque–style setting

3. Go to the top of Galeries Lafayette
Tumblr media
A huge Christmas tree
Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann
The most prestigious shopping store in Paris. All the major brands under one roof
VAT refund can be done combined at one go
40 Boulevard Haussmann, 75009 Paris
Hours: Senin – Sabtu 9:30AM–8:30PM | Minggu 11AM–8PM
Direction: Google Maps Location
Tumblr media
Lovely roof terrace with terrific view of the beautiful Parisian buildings
4. Savouring Macarons at Laduree
Dekorasi kedainya terlihat royal. Saya masuk dan membeli satu kotak Macaron isi 6. Packaging-nya cantik.
Upscale bakery with Parisian origins, specialising in French Macarons in a number of flavours
16-18 Rue Royale, 75008 Paris
Price: 1 Box isi 6 – 17 Euro | Rp. 264,000
Hours: Senin – Minggu 8AM–8PM
Direction: Google Maps Location
Jangan langsung hap, nanti keselek. Sensasi sweet dan crispy-nya bikin melayang.
Tumblr media
Security under control
Setelah itu saya berjalan menuju Musée d’Orsay. Saya sempat melewati taman indah tempat favorit bule-bule bermesraan, Jardin des Tuileries. Detail tentangnya, klik blog saya yang terdahulu Christmas in Paris
Is it worth to buy Paris Museum Pass?
Tumblr media
Semua tergantung itinerary. Jika berniat masuk ke banyak museum, kartu ini bener-bener worth it! It saves your money and time.
Louvre Museum
Arc de Triomphe
Musée Rodin
Musée d’Orsay
Sainte-Chapelle
Notre Dame towers
Conciergerie
Musée de Cluny
Quai Branly Museum
Musée de l’Orangerie
Pantheon
Musée de l’Armée
Centre Pompidou
Museum of Air and Space
Château de Versailles
Villa Savoye
5. Explore Musée d’Orsay
Tumblr media
An old train station that exhibits the world’s greatest art. The paintings and sculptures that focused on the period of 1848-1940, while the Louvre focuses on art before that period
Greek lyric poet. Notable for his drinking songs and hymns. Later Greeks included him in the canonical list of nine lyric poets. Anacreon wrote all of his poetry in the ancient Ionic dialect – Wikipedia
In 1860, Prince Napoleon, son of Jerome Bonaparte, inaugurated on the Avenue Montaigne a vast mansion that sought to imitate ancient villas and that became known as the “Pompeian house”. In the atrium, the centerpiece was a life-size representation of the Emperor dressed in a Roman gown, holding the Civil Code, a crown of laurels on his head and an eagle at his feet
Just the building it is already a monument!
Musée d’Orsay
Major 19th & 20th century European art collections housed in a monumental, former railway station

Susannah and the Elders by Paul Cabet
A sensuous nude shouldering a playful angel. Cupid who is balancing playfully on her shoulders appears trying to get her attention as his body is twisted slightly and he is holding onto her head and left arm so as to enable himself to stare at her
Young Greeks Attending a Cock Fight – Jean-Léon Gérôme
Terdapat 80,000 karya seni disini. Banyak karya seni yang belum pernah saya dengar sebelumnya, tapi begitu mengena saat melihatnya. Beberapa Karya yang paling terkenal di museum ini adalah Polar Bear – F. Pompon, Starry Night dan Self Portrait – Van Gogh, Bal du Moulin de la Galette – Renoir, Small dancer aged 14 – Degas, dan L’Origine du Monde – G. Courbet.
The only son of the emperor Napoleon III and the Empress Eugenie de Montijo, here about eight, is shown with the Emperor’s dog. Even after the fall of the Empire and the tragic death of the crown prince, killed by the Zulus in South Africa in 1879, the Sevres porcelain factory continued to sell his portrait under the title Boy with a Dog
The sense of movement is where Carpeaux’s talent shines
Depresi berkepanjangan membuatnya rapuh. Kata-kata terakhir yang keluar dari mulutnya adalah ‘la tristesse durera toujours – the sadness will last forever’
Is he narcissistic? Why he drew himself? No, the answer is because he could not afford to pay models
In this painting, he represents darkness is illuminated by violent flashes and by cosmic energy which seems that it can’t find peace
I feel that there is nothing more truly artistic than to love people.
For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.
I dream of painting and then i paint my dream
– Van Gogh
A gift from France to the USA for the 100th anniversary of American Independence. The iconic memorial celebrates Franco-American friendship
A French sculptor and painter during the Second Empire under Napoleon III
The year was 1870 and France’s defeat in the Prussian war left the country feeling humiliated and longing for revenge. The Biblical story of David was taken as an sign that, one day, France might slay the Prussian Goliath
6. Tasting L’Entrecôte The Steak & Fries
Tumblr media
After waiting in the middle of cold war. Finally, I could get in and enjoy the vibe
‘Medium rare, please…’
Tumblr media
Salad, Bread and Hot Tea
Tak lama kemudian, pelayan datang menyajikan hot tea dan side dish berupa salad dan roti. Kurang lebih 20 menit, hidangan utama steak and frites pun tiba.
Le Relais de L’Entrecôte
20 Rue Saint-Benoît, 75006 Paris
Hours: Senin – Minggu 12–2:30PM 7–11:30PM
Price: Steak and Frites 26.50 Euro
Direction: Google Maps Location
Tumblr media
Only one meal served here, the simple pairing of a grilled steak with mystery green sauce and chips. The medium grilled steak that i order tastes good but nothing special. Yet the sauce made it all worth it
Dagingnya diletakkan diatas piring bersama french fries dan saus steak ‘go green’. Tender and juicy, seakan lumat saat dikunyah. It definitely tasted good but nothing special.
Semua terkesan terburu-buru. Saat steak saya udah abis, tapi kentangnya masi tersisa, rencana mau saya abisin pelan-pelan. Eh, dia main ambil aja tuh piring. Ga nanya dulu lagi. Padahal saya termasuk cepet makannya.
Yang paling parah, pelayannya pura-pura lupa kasih kembalian. Saya tau kamu perlu tips, tapi masak bayar 50 Euro, total pesanan abis 30 Euro, kamu mau ambil 20 Euro? Dalam hati saya bergumam, cukup sekali saya kesini.
Seenak-enaknya makanan, kalo pelayanannya kacrut. Pasti pengunjung kecewa
7. Exploring Palace of Versailles
Tumblr media
These lavish grounds, elaborately planned, pruned, and ornamented beautifully. Only the Sun King could grow a thousand orange trees in chilly Northern France
Tumblr media
Standing in front of the colossal gate made of gold
Damn, bukannya senin harga naik malah tutup. Jadilah saya hanya mengitari taman dengan menggerutu.
Château de Versailles
Immense, 18th-century palace with gilded apartments, chandeliered Hall of Mirrors and fountain show. The royal residence of France from 1682 until the start of the French Revolution in 1789.
Place d’Armes, 78000 Versailles
Hours: Selasa – Minggu 9AM–5:30PM Senin tutup
Direction: RER line C arrives at Versailles Château – Rive Gauche train station, just 10 minutes’ walk to the Palace Google Maps Location
A total of 100,000 gold leaves have been crafted into the shapes of fleur de lys, crowns, masks of Apollo, cornucopias and the crossed capital Ls representing the Sun King
Magnificent ingenuity and taste in an era lacking modern industrial machines.
The details of wood and stone carving makes one wonder what could those craftsmen have done if they were given modern day tools
Versailles awal mulanya hanya pondok kecil tempat raja menyalurkan hobinya untuk berburu. Semua berubah ketika Louis XIV berambisi memiliki istana termewah di Eropa. Niat pamer memang ga selalu buruk.
United, under a strong king, with a continent’s biggest population, a booming economy, and a powerful military. France under Louis was Europe’s superpower
Long live the king!
Tumblr media
I stroll through the beautiful and massive garden.  The Palace of Versailles may well be the most famous château in the world.
8. Having Brunch at Carette
I brought the cup to my nose and inhaled the rich aroma. I enjoy the coffee and soaking in the atmosphere
The scrambled eggs are amongst the best I’ve ever had. I don’t know how they make these eggs so amazing. It was pure heaven. Cheesy, creamy and buttery
Blending with the crowd
The fluffiest omelette i’ve ever tasted! Cheesy, creamy and buttery, it was pure heaven.

9. Discover the biggest art in the Louvre Museum
The Louvre’s top three most important pieces. one of the oldest and most influent marble statues in the world, The Winged Victory was discovered in 1863 in the island of Samothrace. The meaning behind the statue is still a mystery, some believe it was erected by a Macedonian general after a naval victory and represents the Goddess Nike. The sense of motion in this statue is what impresses anyone, you don’t need any imagination to see, the wind blowing her thin cloth while she stood in a strong forward motion
It’s arguably the most famous painting in the world, due in large part to the hullabaloo that went on in 1911 when she was stolen. Missing for two years, both French poet Apollinaire and Picasso were suspects, before Peruggia (the Italian thief and former Louvre guard) was caught. Seeing La Joconde is a thoroughly unpleasant experience because of the crowds.
14 kilometers of galleries full of the finest world art
Saking besarnya, koleksinya kayak ga abis-abis.
A key to enjoying your visit. Don’t even try to cover it all!
Menemukan karya seni unik dan mencoba menafsirkannya sendiri ternyata menyenangkan. Saya sangat menikmati berbagai lukisan Renaissance, Neoclassical dan Romanticism.
Made for Napoleon’s sister, Queen Caroline Murat. During the Romantic Era, when the Orientalism was a trend, young ladies, often naked, dancing or laying in Sultans’s beds were often painted as a symbol of exotism and erotism. Painting women looking over their shoulders also seemed to be a trend back then and this same pose can be seen in different paintings and statues of that time.
David completed the massive work (13.0 ft by 17.4 ft) 15 years after he began. SPARTA! This act of bravery and sacrifice by King Leonidas and his 300 soldiers inspired David as France waged its own campaigns against rival European powers that wanted to restore France’s pre-revolutionary ancient régime. In 1813-14, when he finished the painting, European powers allied against the First French Empire were invading France to topple the emperor, Napoleon Bonaparte, and David again found inspiration in the story of Leonidas at the Battle of Thermopylae.
The painting represents a legendary episode of Roman mythology with the Sabine women interposing themselves to separate the Romans and Sabines soldiers. The question is: why are the guards naked in the middle of a battle?
Oppa bukan cabul, hanya dewasa seutuhnya.

Among them paintings and sculptures with a great historical value. The naked paintings and sculptures are always gorgeous!
Well, i couldn’t see Maria Magdalene tomb just like what Robert Langdon said.
10. Admiring Palais Garnier
Tumblr media
The whole building is art in itself. Landmark named after its architect Charles Garnier. The Napoleon Ill style of architecture that was later an inspiration for many Opera houses around the world.
Opera house paling eksentrik di dunia. Gedung bergaya Baroque karya arsitek Charles Garnier. Klasik nan elegan.
Tumblr media
Inside one of the most splendid buildings in Paris. Napoleon III ordered it’s construction to the architect Charles Garnier, who designed it in SWAG. Chandeliers everything!

11. Take a peek to the Pantheon
Tumblr media
Neoclassical Pantheon seems big, bold, and cool from the outside. It’s the final resting place of great French patriots such as Marie Curie and Voltaire.

Tapi rasanya biasa aja. Mungkin karena kejunya kurang nendang. Saya cuma mengabiskan setengah, lalu bungkus bawa pulang.

Setelah berfoto, saya berjalan santai mendekati Eiffel Tower.

19. Unveil the best of the Notre Dame Cathedral
Tumblr media
Notre Dame’s iconic facade shows a distinct harmony of design, and represents a level of detailed craftsmanship. It all leads to Mary
Tumblr media
The cathedral’s long halls, vaulted ceilings, and soft light filtered through intricate stained glass help me understand the medieval perspective of humanity and divinity

There is so much to see here, and it is all fascinating and awe-inspiring

The marvelous main altar. Visconti designed them between 1842 and 1853. This masterpiece of marble and bronze is 7 metres high. 4 spiral columns support a magnificent canopy.

The tomb of Turenne, famous military leaders
An enormous maroon sarcophagus, this place makes me feel like they’re visiting the resting place of a holy prophet
So, Is Napoleon a hero or villain? Both.
Imagination rules the world. Impossible is only word to be found in the dictionary of fools. Victory belongs to most persevering

Summers in Mangan
Gem Bonifacio Remaneses was just a girl in my THEA 107 class back in 2016. She was the girl with straight, shoulder-length hair that juxtaposed the milky complexion of her skin. She was the girl with the rosy, round cheeks that are irresistible to pinch and with eyes that seemed to disappear when she smiles. In that class, there were only eleven of us—eleven who had to mount a production within two to three months, and eleven who grew closer to each other even after the production finished. Gem was a person I’ve never expected to be friends with partly because she always seemed to be a woman of a few words and I was the complete opposite. Yet, over the years, she has been one of the few people I can have a crazy laugh with about the smallest of things, sing karaoke shamelessly in KTV rooms, or down a few shots with at the local pubs. There are days when I don’t feel like I know her as much as I should, though. For one, I never knew she had two older brothers at least eight years older than her or that she was of Chinese descent.
Today, I had the opportunity to get to know her better. I sat down with her over dinner at Vat Cave, one of Los Baños famous eateries, and asked about her fondest memory when she was a child. What I got was beyond my expectations because she took me on a journey to an island a hundred miles away, to a place where another version of Gem was unknown to me, and to the house where her happiest memories during her childhood resided.
Gem’s family lived in Muntinlupa, but her father, Margarito T. Remaneses, Jr. was a native of Aklan. Every summer, he took his family back to his hometown where his parents and the rest of his siblings—eight, to be exact—lived. Their trips to Aklan filled Gem with excitement since she wanted to travel—to have a summer adventure where she could see and experience new places. And, of course, coming to Aklan meant playing in a big home with all twenty of her cousins.
The destination wasn’t all that matters. For Gem, the moment she stepped out of their Muntinlupa home, her adventure and misadventures began. The trip to Aklan was long, almost twelve to eighteen hours by land and sea. From Muntinlupa, Gem and her family took the bus to the pier in Batangas. In our conversation, she recalled a time when she was six years old, she and her father were the only ones going to Aklan in their family. Gem was already on the jam-packed bus when her father suddenly needed to use the loo. The bus was departing soon so he told her to tell the driver to wait for him, that he had to go to the loo.
“Lutang at medyo slow ako since birth so, di ko na-gets kaya ayon, nakatunganga lang ako. Tapos, biglang umandar ‘yung bus, wala pa tatay ko. Buti na lang, ‘yung isang matandang pasahero sinigaw sa driver na naiwan tatay ko kaya ayon, huminto,” she told me. “Mag-isa ako noon kung sakali na makakarating sa Batangas.”
In Batangas, they had to board a ship to Caticlan. Gem loved the blending notes of the salty scent of the sea and the metallic odor of the ship, more so, the glittering sea itself. After the ship docked at Aklan, they would take a tricycle to their aunt’s house nearby. Gem recalled another misadventure. During one particular trip, they docked in the middle of the night much earlier than their expected arrival tomorrow morning. They were stuck at the port since her aunt wasn’t answering. Eventually, Gem and her family decided to go there on foot, walking along the beach to the sound of waves gently lapping on the shore. It was a fond memory for her. Although she and her family were exhausted, Gem still had the energy to play a game of catch with the waves—running after the retreating waves and running away as they return to the shore.
“I don’t know when but eventually, we reached my aunt’s house,” Gem said. “I walked with soggy shoes that night.”
After stopping by her aunt’s house, Gem, her family, and her aunt would travel by bus to their grandmother’s home in Banga. The bus ride from Caticlan to Banga showcased the natural beauty of the province—the enigmatic mountains on one side and the glittering cerulean sea on the other. The closer they were to Banga, the cerulean and green were slowly replaced by lush green trees and then by the bustle of the barrio. In Banga, Gem and her family would disembark from the bus to meet her uncles who would then drive them to the house. It would take twenty to twenty-five minutes from the bayan to her grandmother’s house. When the asphalt ran out, the car would rock slightly as they traversed the dirt road leading to the house.
From the road, the huge house wasn’t visible as trees partly covered it. The first part of the estate one could see is the two large fishponds where Gem’s grandfather bred tilapia and hito. Bright pink water lilies juxtaposed the moss green waters of the ponds that flanked the road to the house. On one side, there was a mango tree where the tree house was built, and in one of the branches, hung a make-shift swing. The house was mansion-like in its size. The split-level home was painted in a pastel shade of yellow with dandelion-colored trims and moldings. Inside, there were two salas, six large bedrooms, a kitchen extension, and even an attic.  A blue tricycle sat beside a motorcycle under the house’s second level balcony. Around the back was Gem’s grandfather’s plantation where he grew different kinds of fruits.
It was different from what Gem was used to. In Muntinlupa, their home was situated near the train tracks. She described a narrow alley, filled with a lot of neighbors, that she had to pass to get to their house. There was no playground, but Gem still found it more fun to improvise their play space and use her imagination. Every few hours, trains would rattle the neighborhood as it whistled by. She was usually alone in Muntinlupa, too, because her brothers were studying and her parents were working. Gem mused that the company she usually kept was that of her nanny who usually busied herself with her textmate.
In Mangan, she and her cousins would ride bikes and chase each other around. She had a vast plot of land as her playground instead of the narrow alleys. Sometimes, they would play hide and seek since there were a ton of places to hide in. There were no noisy trains that would scare her because the entire estate was peaceful—an epitome of provincial living. Gem wasn’t alone either because her titos and titas, lolos and lolas, and all twenty cousins were all there to care and play with her.
Sometimes, she and her father would visit one of the natural beauties of Manga—the mangrove reserves near New Washington. They would follow the long, winding trail that lead to the shallows. It would take them thirty minutes to reach the end but the serenity that the mangrove offered seem to heal their weary souls and soles. When they reach the end, they would just watch the tranquil waves glitter under the sun and enjoy the breeze.
In usual Gem humor, she joked. “sobrang fresh ng hangin dyan parang na-cleanse baga ko after.”
While Aklan was a natural goldmine of flora, fauna, and people, it was also one of the oldest provinces in the Philippines and had been linked to many folklores about ghosts, monsters, and witches. Sometimes, the helpers around the house would tell Gem and her cousins scary stories like that of Teniente Gimo (even though Gimo was actually from Iloilo).
“Since malapit lang yung Aklan sa Capiz, kumalat din samin yung mga kwento nila tungkol sa mga aswang,” she explained. “May mga nagsasabi pa nga na yung iba raw lumipat sa Aklan.”
Other stories involved the tiktik, a bird-like monster whose wings flapped louder when afar and softer when it was nearby; stories about recognizing aswangs by using an oil or langis that would boil if an aswang was nearby; and, the folk belief of looking between the legs to see if a person was an aswang were also a brief topic of our conversation. She also mentioned walking about Mangan and getting spooked by the Santo Niños she saw in houses and along the paths.
I asked Gem about the best memories she had of the house, and I found out that it was the lazy afternoons she loved the most. It was those kinds of afternoons when she was left alone without anyone to play with because her older brothers and cousins had gone somewhere she couldn’t go. She would explore the estate, climb trees, look at snails at the fishponds, skip rocks, and eat siniguelas. Sometimes, she’d just laze around the treehouse and enjoy the summer breeze.
All great memories are accompanied by bad ones. For Gem, it was coming back to the estate for her grandmother’s wake. Strangers littered the yard in front of the house and more filled the inside. She went inside the house to view her grandmother, thinking how her passing was surreal. Her grandmother’s passing changed a lot of things. The house began to lose some of the vibrancy that it had when she was alive. But perhaps, it was also growing up that made the estate feel smaller for Gem—hallways were now too narrow, the ceiling no longer as high as before, and the vast land behind the house wasn’t as spacious anymore because of her aunt’s newly erected house.
Mangan has always been a place Gem can come home to, so she didn’t feel sad whenever they had to return to Muntinlupa. In recent years, however, she hasn’t been able to come back to the estate. “My last visit was in 2012,” she said. “As absurd as it may sound, we were all busy. We couldn’t visit as a family. Jobs had to be prioritized, too. It was just my father who goes on vacations sometimes.”
Gem plans to visit the house in Mangan with her brothers after she graduates. What she told me was a poignant summary of what it’s like to grow up and to grow apart from what we are used to. She lamented, “I am aware that even if I come back, the Mangan that is in my memories is no longer there.”
She told me once that she didn’t have a province to go home to because she lived in the city, but I believe she had Mangan. A place of peace. A place of endless summer days. It was the epitome of provincial in her mind. While it is true that it is no longer the place she knew back in her childhood, it is still a home that will always welcome her with open arms. _______________________________________________________________ An interview piece I wrote about my classmate and friend, Gem Remaneses, for our Expository Writing class.

“Para sa mga taong mahal ka daw, pero pinakawalan ka.”
Kung iisipin madali lang naman talaga ang konsepto ng LOVE. Mahal/gusto ko niya and vice versa.
But then I’ve realized, as I grow older na may mga bagay na hahadlang at hahadlang sa commitment mo towards your partner.
Minsan may mga taong takot pumasok sa relasyon kahit gaano ka kamahal dahil they used to be “all or nothing” type o kaya namann ay very risk taker. However, they took a risk for the wrong person and they ended up getting hurt. May mga tao kasing sobrang risk taker nila either you love/give all the way or don’t give anything at all. Yung handa silang igamble ang lahat ng meron sila, but they weren’t ready for consequences or they didn’t even anticipated the negative events that could happen.
These type of people are the types that I always wanted to have conversation with. They were deep, and now they’re deeper. They tend to blame themselves and question themselves: when they shouldn’t have to. Wala naman talaga silang pagkukulang aside from being less aware on what could happen.
Kaya kung may nagconfess sayo ng feelings nila or kaya naman ay they responded with the mutual feeling for you, and still refuse to commit ay hindi dahil nagsisinungaling sila sa nararamdaman nila.
Not because they’re just tripping. It’s because they don’t have the same bravery and courage that you have. Hindi madaling maging matapang na sumubok ulit. Kung may mahal ka at feeling mo mahal ka rin niya because of his/her actions. Encourage him/her to confess or spill it, but never ever force him/her to say what they feel about you.
Because sweetness can turn to salty actions.
May iba naman they think timing is a bitch. Yung kahit parehas kayo ng feeling for each other, iiwan ka pa rin niya. Kasi iniisip niya, wrong timing. Maling panahon. Kapag ganito, you could ended up as TOTGA instead of his/her happy ending.

I'm not saying that I'm living the best period of my life just yet pero having a wonderful girlfriend and the career that I almost really wanted makes it really tempting to say so. The reason lang talaga na hindi is because I'm pretty sure na there are much better days ahead (not being nega sa current). And with that kind of mix, I'm now able to go to places.
This year, we decided to have a trip out of town just before the rainy season has begun and at first, we decided on Batangas pero since fully-booked na halos ung decent ones (maganda yet affordable), nauwi kami with Bataan.
After hours and hours of canvassing, dun lang din pala kami babagsak sa isa sa mga nauna ko na icheck na beach resorts. It's Brisa Marina Beachfront Resort. We spent 4000 pesos and that includes the room that overlooks the beach and an infinity pool (which really is just perfect since your room, no matter how cheap or expensive has that an amazing view of the sea or.. ocean?) and a breakfast which ehh.. di nakakatuwa. It's a choice of only either Longsilog or Tocilog for the meal and free coffee for the drinks. The taste is just average while the amount is well, panglaman-tiyan. Was expecting a buffet sana much like what I've tried back at Ace Water Spa (damn, ang sarap talaga don) but instead nga, we're treated to something.. simple. Pasado pa sana if marami-rami ung serving such as may side dish pero wala eh. Naghahanap pa nga rin ako ng hot choco non since I no longer drink coffee but since waley, tubig-tubig nalang.
The reason why I overlooked this resort at first is because kala namin expensive. Judging by the same-priced ones kasi around the area, di mo talaga aakalain.
Speaking of rooms, the one included sa 4k is just a small one pero may frontal view, from the bed, ng beach. Oh and, may balcony ha. The restroom is clean and decent pero plain and small as well. There's hot and cold shower and may bidet as well. Yung water, overflowing naman (so no problem as well when you need to flush a big one) kaso frustratingly, it tastes salty. It's as if di na nagwowork that good yung filtration system. Bearable naman. It still seems clean pero tasting something salty while taking a shower is just bothering. There's a "cable" TV that's in fairness, a legit one pero I'd rather not say it is kasi sa sobrang limited ng channels sa subscription nila with Cignal, there's not even a single cable cartoon channel (bye, SpongeBob) nor HBO, etc. The television isn't big nor is in high-definition too. I kind of looked forward for this one pa naman since yun, yung cable, yung lacking during my Zambales trip. The design of the room is standard -- only with a subtle cues of a beach-y vibe but one in particular really caught my attention. Overhead the bed are patches of windows that serve as this kind of openness and lighting design which can be actually nice especially during nighttime. Kaso being able to have something open like that without an option to cover it up can be bothersome if it's privacy we're talking about. Thankfully, after we tried peeking through those patches of windows from the outside, wala naman ng kita since may third floor din yung room and the angle from the ground floor towards the windows makes it actually impossible pala talaga to see anything.
The food and the room. What about the experience you'd get from going to somewhere that far? Well, it's nice naman. The view is spectacular. The waves are already rough during this season pero you'd still be able to swim a few inches from the shoreline (as long as it's deemed to be by the lifeguards). The two swimming pools are small pero it's a-okay naman as long as di ganon kacrowded. It's clean althroughout the resort kaso nga lang, may mga dirt which I think are sand that's from the beach at the bottom of one of the swimming pools we've tried. Di naman sa kadiri pero sana by taking extra measures for the guests to unavoidably wash their feet before going to the rest of the resort from the beach will eliminate this kind of mess. Para lang bang yung puddle of water along the steps of the stairs or miski kahit signage nga lang. Wala kasi gaano eh. May iniwan lang silang tabo, balde, at hose. Eh alam natin na di lahat ng tao eh that diligent. May water activities sila pero given the season, di na namin inexpect na magtry. Mga snorkeling, island hopping at inflatables man. Yung bar above the newer buildings, we didn't know exist. Yung spa, di namin naitanong.. di bali, sa susunod talaga!
Lastly, getting there and the sulit factor of the whole experience. Hmm, it actually is. Biyahe namin is from Cubao to Olongapo via Victory Liner bus. Olongapo to Morong via jeep at the terminal in Harbor Point. And a trike from Nagbalayong, Morong to the resort. The trip from Cubao to the resort can be as long as over 4 hours (we left Cubao at 4am). Di ko lang alam how we would do if we tried an alternative route or even via roro sa may around Mall of Asia. We chose this one nga lang because it's familiar to us since ito yung same na daan namin nung Zambales trip and we wouldn't worry on our trip home kasi reserved yung bus seats namin. Olongapo to Morong nga lang can be tricky kasi we honestly only knew beforehand na basta sa "terminal" kami bumaba to ride a trike to the resort. It turns out na saying just terminal sa driver ng jeep wouldn't help kasi baka sa Balanga, Bataan pa kayo mapunta. That's so far from where you intended to drop off na. Thankfully nga lang, kahit naconfuse ung natanungan namin sa jeep, she's honest, well-informed, at dun din siya bumaba sa same babaan as ours. Plus, I would like to thank my phone din for loading the name of the bayan the resort is in kahit walang signal. Kung di dahil dun, we wouldn't reach the resort and God knows saan kami pupulitin non. We'd mess our weekend getaway that way. So yes, sulit. As I said earlier in this blog entry, compared sa ibang beach resorts nearby, this one is among the best (Morongstar has more activities you can partake to and sobrang sulit niya once nachempuhan mo yung promo nila but not having nga lang the same luxurious vibe as Brisa's). The food prices are fair enough and masarap naman din (or baka kasi gutom lang kami non and a sinigang during a cold rainy evening is just unbeatable). The staff are friendly and accommodating as well. Look no further then if Bataan din ang next na target niyo for your weekend getaway.
To add lang, to the resort, here's more on how you'd ante up it to be just the best. First, redesign, fix, and differentiate the newer buildings to the old ones. Paying the same price just for you to stay at the older buildings is quite unfair. Mas maganda pa naman sa newer ones since mas open yung buong room (giving it a very instagrammable scenery). But since they literally are with just the same layout, give them both a different look. May unique spots for picture-taking in this one and so are there in the other. And please fix yung red na kubo-ish. Sayang kasi, sira that time na pumunta kami. Di tuloy nakapagpicture doon.
Next is, improve your food in taste and in amount. A choice of buffet sa umpisa palang can be a great asset (make it triple buffets like in La Luz, Laiya in Batangas and mawawalan na ng business yung ibang resorts sa area lol). If not, allow then the bringing of foods inside without a corkage fee. Kahit leave nalang yung fee when it comes to alcoholic beverages. That.. and yung mga concerns ko sa room.. oh and, between the newer and older buildings, please make a pathway. Di yung bababa pa sa beach or lalabas sa kalsada just to cross. Can save a lot of time din. Wi-Fi! It's fast enough pero it doesn't cover half of the resort. Sayang naman. Be more responsive din pag may nagiinquire. They're you're potential customers, enebe. Natagalan at nahirapan din kasi kami non makapagpareserve.
That's it siguro? With all the requests that I have said, sana ienhance din nila yung Mermaid kind of tone that they want to give the resort by not having generic statues but with just a few of those logos and color scheme around the area.

Scandinavian Skincare Routine for Winter
Scandinavian women and men take care of their skin with the help of cosmetics products from local components and healthy habits, which have become a natural part of their life.
Let’s Overview Basic Rules Of Skin Care From Home Of Geothermal Spa, And Unusual Components In The Best Skin Care Products.
  Scandinavian Beauty Secrets
Care and Strength of Berries
In Scandinavia, you can find a big number of types of berries. In the forests of Sweden alone they ripen up to 500,000 tons per year. Therefore, it is no coincidence that the berries are included in many skin care products: they contain a large number of antioxidants that have a supporting effect on skin cells.
In winter, the blood flow and skin metabolism slow down, so that free radicals can easily cause cell injury. For example, cloudberry contains minerals such as phosphorus, calcium, magnesium and zinc that protect and strengthen skin’s moisture barrier. Cranberries are called “red gold of the country”. The oil in its seeds has a calming effect, and it is rapidly absorbed. It is ideal for hands, especially at night. Scandinavian beauties have hand cream always at hand, for example, in a handbag or on a night table next to a bed.
Food & Diets
Traditional Swedish diets are rich in fish and cellulose, as well as in other products with free radicals, nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. The Head of Swedish Organization of Skin Therapy Annika Joensuu believes the everyday ration should be rich in vegetables, potherb, and root crops. All this food is good for the digestive processes of our body.
    Non-Classical 3 Step Skin Care
The Scandinavian climate is very changeable and the most unpleasant things are cold wind, high humidity, and low temperature. In such conditions, skin needs hydration, protection, and regeneration not paying attention to the season. Scandinavians prefer mineral sunscreens and avoid sun protection products with chemical elements. Skincare renovation products are basically used at the end of the day. Usually, it is super nutritious creams and night masks. Most local brands use in their products plants, fruits, berries, and essential oils rich in omega 3, omega 6, and antioxidants. Scientists from Marine Biotechnology Research Group found out, that omega 3 also can be effective mean from acne as it kills bacteria causing skin irritation.
         Spa procedures
On the whole territory of the peninsula, there are many health clubs, which are situated both in cities and in the countryside. The most popular are geothermal island The Blue Lagoon and Stockholm spa complex Yasuragi, constructed according to feng shui rules.
Scandinavian people like going to sauna. For example, in Sweden, one of the most popular parties among girls is to have bachelorette fiesta in sauna.
Arms, legs and other body parts
Scandinavian women and men take care after face, arms, and legs in a similar way. Adding beard care speaking about men. Also, they hydrate arms several times a day. According to information of Swedish cosmetic association, in this country hand creams are sold two times more than face products. DYI receipts are used quite often, home masks and scrubs are made almost by every person. Swedish makeup artist Petra Strand advices to boil mineral water with green tea, wait till it becomes still, divide between ice forms and freeze. After that, hydrate your face with ice cubes each morning.

Sarcastic StarBharat Reviews-Episode 18: In which there’s a (completely unnecessary) rain of lotuses
This is the promised reuploaded review. Under the cut, not tagging anyone.
This episode begins with a shot of fireworks bursting over Hastina. “Let it be known throughout Kururashtra that Maharaj Pandu has won the Swayamvar of Kuntibhoj’s daughter,” announces Satyavati in the throne room. The courtiers all cheer Honey Boy’s name. Camera cuts to Drama Queen as Ms. Always Patnidharma makes an entry. “I’ve brought food,” she says. “Hmm. Keep it,” he replies curtly. She gestures to the servants, who do so. (Why are we paying so much attention to Drama Queen eating. Ms. Always Patnidharma seems tense, too, and she’s holding Sukhda’s hands. I can’t see anything apart from the fact that according to StarBharat, both Gandhari and Sukhda have manicured hands and long, buffed nails.) Drama Queen eats a morsel, looking thoughtful. He says, “The taste is different today,” Sukhda says “Kumari Gandhari has made it to the flavors of Gandhar,” Ugh. Must every other episode have a syrupy sweet scene? This isn’t Sasuraal Simar Ka or something, it’s supposed to be the Mahabharat! “If you don’t like it, I can tell them to bring something else,” says Ms. Always Patnidharma. “No,” says Drama Queen, “The flavor of Gandhar is good. Different, but good.” There’s sweeping melodic music, like this is some kind of grand love proposal, complete with smiles all round. I’m counting this canon fail #34 for good measure. “Will you not sit?” he asks. So help me, someone who actually does exist! She looks shocked. Sukhda nods at her and leads her to sit. “I see Gandhar’s kitchen has entered Hastina,” he says. “This is the first try,” replies Ms. Patnidharma shyly. “It’s a good try, unfortunately, it will not be appreciated here, only Kuntibhoj’s culture will have an impact here in Hastina.” Of course, Drama Queen, drag that into this too. “What is the harm if some of the food is from here, some from Gandhar and some from Kunti?” Wow, what a terrible analogy. He pushes the food away. “Do not seek to teach me! You have no right to advice me!” Dude, she’s your wife. Cease all this ott drama, will you? “I’m trying to calm you down. I can understand that you’re still tense,” she says. This is followed by an even more terrible temple analogy I can’t make sense of, which ends with “We must accept God’s will. It’s better to forget bitterness and welcome Pandu and Kunti…” she touches his shoulder. He, predictably, lashes out. “Do not touch me! I have not given you that right. Whenever I try to accept you as my wife, this is what stops me. You show me again and again how much myself being disrespected gladdens your heart. Neither will I welcome them, nor shall you. I am your husband. My orders are your limit. Whether you accept them or cross them, I leave that on you.” Ugh, dude, how terrible can you be??? Then comes the telltale peacock feather. Ugh, for the last two episodes, we were free of this guy and here he comes up again. Skip. Skip. Skip. This is about bonds of marriage, apparently. Scene changes to Kunti and Pandu bending to take Kuntibhoj’s blessings. He stops her and asks her to take blessings from her birth-father, Shurasena. I’m counting this as canon fail #35. No Yadava dad would be so terrible that he would not even say one word to his daughter if he were actually around during her marriage. Please correct me if Shurasena is actually this terrible, okay? Shurasena digresses, saying that the honor is that of the man who brought her up. Honey Boy agrees with Shurasena, saying that the person who gives up their child just after its birth will always have second place in the child’s life. Camera pans to Ms. Melodrama. Girl, I get it okay? You didn’t want to do what you did. I got that the first time. Also, hats off to the writers for dragging it this much. They take the blessings and Pandu leaves ahead. Kunti hugs Priyamvada. “Can you see how great my husband’s thoughts are?” Oh no. “I’ve become very lucky on marrying him,” Girl, this guy literally dies because he’s too horny to keep it in his pants, okay? That’s not my definition of wise. “Yes, Princess, I can see that. All I ask is that you do not do anything to jeopardize that luck.” Kunti looks askance at Priyamvada. “I cannot cheat my husband!” “Lying for advantage is called cheating. Hiding the truth to protect yourself is not cheating.” “Do not spin webs of lies, Priyamvada,” “The truth of the world is unknown to those who have lived their entire lives in palaces, Princess, yet this very same truth can turn into a weapon in the hands of an enemy.” She ties a black thread on Kunti’s wrist. “What are you doing?” Kunti asks. “This is a charm, Princess, for the happiness of you and your husband. Swear that you will not tell him about your past until this is tied on your hand,” You…do realize she can untie it anytime, don’t you? Ms. Melodrama goes off on a rant about the number of wrongs she did. Canon fail #36, I’d say. The Kunti of the Mahabharata is a pragmatic person, I think she felt guilty about Karn, sure, but not to this extent that she about stopped living her life and its joys. Besides, I think that, if she gets the choice, she’d choose her five sons. (I really want to yell Arjun’s name, but I desist.) There are servants standing right behind her all the while she’s bemoaning her child’s fate, you honestly want me to believe this wasn’t the servant’s gossip of the day and stayed secret in this show? (In canon, it does stay secret, but this isn’t canon) Cue first half of precap scene and then Mr. Glitterwash makes an entry, praying to his Godly dad (I don’t think he knows yet) There’s badass music I’m trying to tune out, because as far as I am concerned, that guy ain’t badass. “Help!” Someone yells. Ah, I see, this is where he turns into Batman. A really poor imitation of Batman. Canon fail #37. This guy isn’t nearly as heroic. In fact, in canon, his entire motivation in life is to kill Arjun. Seriously. He’s the King of Anga, the hotbed of sexual slavery and he does nothing to save anyone there. There’s a kid flailing on a chariot crying for help, everyone scatters in his wake, until enter Mr. Glitterwash, who runs behind the chariot. The chariot strikes a stone on a grassy cliff, the kid goes flying off the cliff and Mr. Glitterwash does his Batman gig. Hang on, isn’t this guy’s selling point the ‘fact’ that he had been ‘poor and downtrodden’ (which he never was)? The guy literally had gold everywhere on him! He’s freaking wearing golden-colored shoes! What the…?     Canon fail #38. Being born of God or not, Mr. Glitterwash is as human as anyone else, and he should have died after that stunt, as he lands on solid Earth. Now, if he’d landed on water, he might have survived. Instead, the Sun apparently gives him energy and he saves the other kid. “Son!” The other kid’s mama rushes to them. “Karn!” Oh, this is his adopted mom making an entry. “Radha,” says a random guy, “Your son is divine,” “Radha ma!” exclaims Glitterwash. She dunks a pot of water on him and breaks the pot. She drags him off protesting. I don’t know what the point of this is…until she asks him what the hell he was doing. Oh, so they are setting him up as heroic. I see. Anyone reading this, please don’t start thinking that this stuff is canon. IT’S COMPLETELY NON-CANON. “I was saving the child!” “Who’ll save you? Bhairav himself?” AARGH. This guy is not heroic! I’ll keep repeating it. She tells him that he’ll be punished. He asks her if she is angry. She tells him to stop making her angry and then ask this question like a wet cat. Speaking of wet cats, this guy seems to have dried up awfully fast from the drench he got like, 2 seconds ago? He’s like “I’m Adhirath’s son, it’s my duty to protect.” Huh? What? You know what, I can’t find it in myself to care. She replies that it’s her duty to protect him from his father. He says that his father is with the King in Kuntibhoj. She replies that they are coming back with the Queen and they should get ready for the Darshan. He goes “You mean they are going to see us?” “Why would they see us?” she asks. “We are neither criminals, nor brave warriors,” “You said that if a King looks at us, we will be very lucky.” “Or very unlucky. The gaze of great people have great consequences.” Okay, quit it with the melodrama foreshadowing already, will you? “Then they should definitely look at us.” “But how?” He gets an inward look in his eye. Uh-oh, I don’t like this at all. They’re gonna glitterwash him more, it’s obvious. Pandu and Kunti enter Hastina on a chariot to the sound of cheers. Priyamvada’s parting words about keeping her secret flash in Kunti’s mind. The chariot stops. “Why have you stopped, Adhirath?” asks Pandu. “The Mahamantri is here to welcome you, Maharaj,” he says. There is a round of the obligatory pranipaat’s. Vidur says that Satyavati has asked Pandu to visit Lord Rama’s temple before going home. Pandu asks if Vidur won’t welcome his Bhabhishree and Bhraata. Vidur smiles and says he’ll be their charioteer. He sends Adhirath home. Adhirath runs to Radha who tells him that their son has gone to prepare for the King’s welcome. Adhirath asks Radha why she didn’t stop him, as he might use the bow and arrow. (Okay, this…doesn’t seem believable to me.) Gilligan Cut to Mr. Glitterwash praying to Surya and drawing his bow and arrow. “You don’t understand the seriousness of this. I’ll have to stop him now, where is he?” asks Adhirath. Um, but excuse me, please. Karn is canonically Drona’s student. He canonically learnt weaponry from Dron, so what exactly is the issue? Oh, I know! The issue is canon fail #39. Considering Karna is Drona’s student, and that charioteers have to defend themselves often, it’s kind of ridiculous that Karn using a bow can cause such haha-huhu. Scene cuts to Karn who’s praying to Surya so that his objective is achieved without harming anyone. Canon fail #40. Nothing of this sort, which leads a rain of lotuses, ever happens in canon. And Karn is seriously not the sort to worry whether he hurt someone or not. Vidur takes the reins of the chariot in hand just as Karn shoots the arrow which strikes a bed of lotuses causing them to rain on Pandu and Kunti. Ms. Melodrama remembers the flowers from her stuffing them in a basket along with Glitterwash and promptly goes into mind-angst mode. She laments that the ‘light of her heart’ (who’ll want to kill her biologically youngest son later for the crime of being a better warrior) had been sent with these flowers. “Vidur, who caused this rain of flowers? Who exhibits such great archery” What the-? BTW, THIS IS NOT CANONICAL! Archery is not some divine gift that Glitterwash got. He worked towards it, as did other, better archers, heck Bheem is better than Glitterwash most of the time in canon. Ms. Melodrama holds the lotus close. The strains of the song “Suryadev Sogaye…” starts as Glitterwash comes forward. She’s anxiously looking for him as he is approaching from the back. She turns back, still looking for him. Episode ends. I suppose this is a catchphrase by now, but I am dreading the next episode. Precap: “I’m disturbed by what I heard in Kuntinagar,” says Ms. Melodrama to Ms. Always Patnidharma. She says something I don’t get and then says that a thorn in the garden of a new house is not a good omen. Ms. Always Patnidharma tells her that her elder brother loves Honey Boy a lot. Scene changes to Poseur and Drama Queen sitting at a board of dice. “Prince Pandu has defeated us handily, I have nothing but hate in my heart for him.” says Poseur. Drama Queen demonstrates his immense ocular muscle control as he strikes the board with a knife.
Wow, I got through this episode in one sitting! *Pats self on the back* Gosh, my tolerance levels are getting better for this wank.

It had been around two years since Boba escaped the Sarlacc buck ass nude. Leaving his armor, trophies, and pride behind. He had been in her gut for two days, narrowly escaping with his life. He had been dizzy and dilousinal when he had gotten free, crawling onto the night chilled sand. The weak acid of the Sarlacc wounded his body terribly.
His nasty burns were now nastier scars. His left arm has scars from the surgery he had to repair the broken bone. His right leg always bugged him now, because it was a mangled mess of cracked bone, ripped muscles, and ripped tendons from where the Sarlacc tried to rip it off. The many surgeries on his legs helped, but the leg still bothers Boba often.
As you helped him heal, nursing him back to health, he told you what happened within the beast. How she trapped souls that would talk to him constantly, how tentacles on the walls of her gut held him still, and how she injected neurotoxin into him to keep him still. Clearly Boba had been scarred mentally and physically from the beast.
You were taking a nap in the cockpit when you heard cursing in Mando’a coming from the cargo hold of Slave I. You blinked and quickly rushed down the ladder to the hold. Boba was sitting against the wall, rubbing his hand clearly in pain.
“What’s the matter?” You walked over slowly, when Boba was pissed off he was not to be messed with. “My nerves in my left hand, they made my hand lock up while I was repairing the first cell door. I broke it even more.” The frustration is very clear in his voice, something else boiling under the service of his facade.
You looked at the smoking door, tools scattered about. In his anger he clearly threw a few tools around. Boba rarely lost his cool, so something must be really bothering him. You sighed softly, looking at the glaring Mandalorian.
You sat down beside him, gently taking his scarred hand in yours. You rubbed his hand slowly, Boba glaring at the floor. “It’s alright Boba, you can’t help-” Boba cuts you off, “None of this should’ve happened. I tried to tell jabba not to try to kill that fucking Jedi!! The stupid Hutt being ignorant ruined my life.” Boba raised his voice, standing up.
“Boba-” He cut you off again, “Don’t Boba me. That stupid monster ruined my body! I am scarred and some of my nerves are damaged! I have to shave my head because the acid that somehow touched my hair causes it not to grow anymore! I-” You stood up, pulling Boba into a tight hug. He hardly ever raised his voice, talking too much hurt his throat. Yelling hurt even more.
You shushed him, rubbing his back slowly. He trembled slightly, clearly going into a PTSD driven panic attack. “It’s okay cyar’ika.” You whispered, pressing a kiss to his temple. Boba buried his face into your neck, hugging you back tightly.
Boba struggled everyday with trauma from the Sarlacc, mainly his self image. He lost his armor and the trophies he wore on it, which took a big part of his soul. The armor was his fathers, who he lost once again. But this time in the bowels of the Sarlacc.
Boba had always hated mirrors, not recognizing how handsome he was due to a dread and a deep hatred. Now he hardly even looked in the mirror, hating the scars that now covered his body. He limped almost constantly, his right leg hurting more and more every day.
Boba hated himself more than he ever had before, and it broke your heart.
“Boba you were never ugly.” You step back cupping his cheek, his dark eyes bright with pain and hate. “You’re just as handsome as you were when I met you.” You stroke his cheekbones, a soft smile on your face. Boba looks at you, a hard look still on his face.
You continue to stroke his back, whispering sweet nothings and compliments. He eventually relaxes in your arms, sighing loudly. “How about we fix the cell together?” You speak softly like he’s an injured and spooked animal. You stroke his hand gently, smiling when he nods and mumbles out an “ok…”
~A few hours later~
You sat on the bed beside Boba, tracing his arm scars softly. It took you both a while to fix the door, but you eventually got it done. “Your scars don’t make you any less of a man Boba.” You spoke suddenly. Boba looked at you, a glare on his face.
Before your lover could open his mouth to argue you spoke, “It makes you stronger. Your scars tell a story of your survival. You shouldn’t have survived that monster, but yet you did. You nearly died from shock and the nasty wounds. You nearly lost your leg.” You softly cup his cheek, “You survived because you’re Boba Fett, a goddamn Mandalorian. You’re tough and beyond brave, not to mention stubborn.”
Boba frowned at your words, his dark eyes looking away from yours. “Boba these scars show how fucking tough you are. They prove how incredible you are.” You press a kiss to his scarred wrist. “But I-” You shut him up with a kiss, your lips molding perfectly with his.
“Boba you’re still hot as hell.” You mumble against his lips, “Actually more so! These scars do things to me.” You kiss him again, Boba kissing you back. “You deserve all the love in the universe Boba, you’re worthy and deserving of happiness.” You whisper.
Boba looked into your eyes, the sadness in them breaking your heart. “Do you really think I deserve-” You cut him off again, “Boba you deserve the universe and so much more.” He clearly still didn’t believe you, but you knew just how to persuade him.
You kiss him again, putting all of your love and passion behind the kiss. You helped Boba undress, moving slowly. Once he was naked, you undressed as well. You kissed him again, your hands holding his and giving them a gentle squeeze.
Boba let you push him onto his back, allowing you to crawl on top of him. You kissed his scarred neck and chest, “Let me show you just how hot you are.” Boba only nodded, still looking unsure. You squeezed his right hand before letting go, using your hands to trace his body instead.
Boba was relaxed under you, his cock half hard from your teasing kisses. “These scars just make you even sexier to me Boba.” You spoke seductively, your lips tracing a nasty scar on his left pectoral. Boba looked into your eyes, his eyes growing dark with desire.
You moved slowly, tracing each scar on his sexy body with your lips and tongue. He was covered in scars. So by the time you got to his hard cock he was letting out soft moans, his cock dripping precum.
Boba let out an irritated sigh when you kissed everywhere but his cock, your lips tracing the scars on his thighs. You smirked to yourself, your grumpy man was coming back. In the Sarlacc Boba kept his genitals covered as long as possible, so luckily his large cock still worked.
Boba growled out your name, the noise sending lighting bolts of pleasure to your core. You smirked and licked the precum from his head, Boba groaning loudly. “Just look at you. My handsome Boba Fett, all needy for me.” You purred out the words, which made Boba glare at you.
You held back your laughs as you licked his cock from the base to the head, Boba gripping the bed sheets. He was always the most sensitive when you moved slow like this. You traced your tongue along every bit of his large cock, Boba using all of his willpower to not to buck his hips.
When you finally put the head into your mouth Boba let out a relieved moan, the noise causing you to get even more excited. You held him at the base, your mouth working over him slowly. Boba bucked his hips, a small whine leaving him at your slow movements.
You held his hips down, Boba glaring even more at you. You got back to work quickly, taking Boba as far into your mouth as you could. Your hand covered what your throat couldn’t handle. You moaned around him, your tongue swirling around his thick shaft.
His precum was salty and a little bitter, but it still tasted good enough to you. Boba watched you suck his cock, your throat taking him like a champ. Boba twitched in your mouth, clenching his jaw as he approached his orgasm.
You pulled back, giving a few teasing kitten licks to his dripping head. He growled out your name, a warning. You smirked and took him back down your throat, your hand and mouth working in a perfect rhythm
It didn’t take much more for Boba to cum down your throat, the taste of his warm seed making you shiver. You licked his head a few more times after he finished, watching as he relaxed under you.
You wiped the drool and drops cum from your mouth and kissed your way back up his body. You kissed Boba’s lips deeply, putting all of your love and adoration for him in the kiss. “Do you believe me now?” You questioned, a frown on your lips.
“I suppose….” Your frown turned into a wide grin and you hugged Boba tightly. “Good!!! I love you so much!” Boba smiled, hugging you back. “I love you too, Cyar’ika.”
Boba Fett still had his moments here and there, but he definitely hated himself a little less thanks to you.

100-Peso Chicken Meal with Unli Drinks? | Onyang’s Street Wings
Tumblr media
We Filipinos love chicken like we love rice. However, chickens are too expensive for our budget (normal range would be 200-400 Pesos for 3 pcs.) that's why we consider them as treats - special food kumbaga. But what if we tell you that there's a new restaurant that offers these delights for less than P100?  Yes you've heard it right. Ano game kayo mga brus?
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
Disclaimer: I am not a food expert, I just love to eat and try out different delicacies.
This so-called restaurant lies in the heart of Naic, Cavite. I was only referred here (by my Bru - Jam) and oh boy I didn't regret that. The story goes like this:J:
Jam: Bruu nakain kami ni JD dito. chicken wings.
Jam: 100 pesos lang busog ka na! Unli drinks pa!
Drew: 100 lang?whuut? inggit si acquoh. Sige ganyan ka!
Jam: Magsesend ako ng pictures ng di mo aakalain.
Drew: Hahaha. Sige manginggit pa!
To cut the story short, she sent the photos along with the camera photos we were reviewing (galing dba?).
The next day, I went to Naic to check-out the place. Jam and JD (her brother) took me to the place.
You won't miss the place. If you're coming from north, keep an eye out for the crossing. You'll see it beside Mcdonald's.
Tumblr media
We went there and parked in Mcdonald’s because the parking space is wide enough only for motorcycles.
Tumblr media
The size of the place is more or less like a classroom and enough to fit up to 12-15 groups at the same time. Jam told me that there was a time when they waited an hour. This only happens during rush hour. Good thing that when we came, rush hour was over and we were seated almost immediately. That was around 9pm.
P.S. I went back with my family around 3pm and we were also seated immediately.
Tumblr media
(Ooops, no candid face :D)
The ceiling is high so ventilation is good.
There are many options to choose from. So I was like ‘whuuut? Gusto ko kainin lahat!’. They offer wings, burgers, sundaes, sausages and pizza in different variations.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here is a closer look at the menu.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They have 9 different flavors for their chickens. Below are the flavors (from ‘super anghang to sakto lang’):
Atomic
Hot Buffalo
Mango Habanero
Wild Buffalo
Flaming Cheese
Honey BBQ
Korean Soy
Soy Sauce
Original
There were 3 flavors for drinks: Red Iced Tea, Blue Iced Tea and Matcha (This is subject to change without notice)
I’ve ordered One Classic Burger with Fries and one Chicken Treat with Fries – all for only 180 pesos.
Tumblr media
(Burger and Chicken Treats)
Jam ordered Chicken pops while JD ordered Chicken Treat with Fries.
Tumblr media
Chicken Pops
Tumblr media
Flaming Cheese
The burger patty was juicy and was just firm enough to hold its own on the palate. In other words, it’s soft. The bun was also soft, slightly sweet and moist. The burger meal weigh like quarter-pound – probably more.
Tumblr media
Egg Burger
The chicken meal was fried without breading. Honestly, that’s how I want my chicken. It’s crispy, not too salty and has a little peppery taste. However, in some of my chicken, I noticed that there were slightly uncooked parts – may konting dugo pa. We can’t blame the chef though as I know there are tons of tummies to fill.
“Lahat ng food nila Malaki, yun ngang sausage hindi ko makain ng ayos” – JD
That’s true! they offer huge servings for each meal. What you see is what you get. No advertising bullsh*t.
Oh, did I mention that they also serve frappes and milk shakes?
Tumblr media
Milo Shake
Am I coming back to this place? Definitely! I would love to try out all items in their menu.

A lot of people close to me knows that i am a big fan of Super Junior, Bigbang, Hey!Say!JUMP, Everything about Kojima Haruna and One OK Rock, di ko na nga kilala mga new generation groups ngayon, i must say sobrang outdated na ako sa kanila. Lol. At sympre nakatulong yung google at mga videos in getting to know them. Charot. Lol. Kaya im here para sabihin na kahit anung ginawa kong pag-iiwas, hindi po gumana kasi we should not sleep on talent and passion, we should stan Seventeen. Kaya wag nyu na ho akong awatin, coz i already slipped in the diamond laifu. ♡

Food Hunts Mnl | Fancy Sta. Rosa
Tumblr media
Baked n Bacon
There’s just so many restaurants to choose from in around Nuvali. Almost all restaurants have unique, colorful and quirky themes that would really get your attention. However the game changer will always depend on the budget and the type of cuisine you prefer. It was just time for dinner when my best friend and I decided to go to Solenad. We tried to stroll around patiently while looking for a decent restaurant pero gutom na talaga ako. haha Good thing we passed by this very cute restaurant called Baked n Bacon. Bumungad talaga saakin yung poster nilang favorite kong Pesto Pasta so no time to waste dun ko na inaya si Niella. :)
We ordered the following:
Pesto Pasta
Carbonara
Wings and Fries
The customer service was okay. They were attentive enough to attend to usual requests. I can’t stop looking around the restaurant because the interior design was for sure well-thought-out. The whole ambiance was very inviting. I also learned that they are pet friendly! Which means we can bring Brover or Brooks next time :) Plus they also offer a lot of books and board games to play with!
Now let’s talk about the food. Madami sila mag serve. Definitely mabubusog ka talaga. I am a huge fan of Pesto pasta pero hindi ko naubos yung akin kasi ang dami nga. hehe Everything was delicious but I feel like it’s way too oily and salty tho. :( And the orange juice was a bit disappointing kasi it’s way too sweet.
If you’ll ask me I would still recommend this to my friends and there’s a big chance I might come back. They have a lot of other tempting food and desserts on the menu that I want to try next time :)

Pork Chop Express
1C Clubhouse, Sanlorenzo South, Sta Rosa laguna
I remember back then when all we want to do is hang out in our village’s clubhouse. My friends and I would talk about everything under the sun and when we finally get hungry there are small local stalls around the area where we could buy street foods. So you know you’ll get the usual kwek-kwek, sago’t gulaman, isaw and all that. Up until now I occasionally crave for those comfort food it’s just that when you start to get a bit “tita” na, you’d prefer something more nakaka-busog that is still within the budget. :)
I’ve been writing about some of my recent discoveries around San Lorenzo and I am happy to share another one that is worth experiencing! :) This small food stall is called Pork Chop Express. I’ve learned they already have 3 branches in Laguna and the one that I’ve tried was inside our village! They offer very HEAVY meals for an affordable price range! Let me start off by telling you na IF YOU ARE REALLY HUNGRY AND ON A BUDGET, MAN YOU BETTER GO HERE. From the picture itself you can see that they serve a generous amount of viand and SOBRANG DAMING RICE. You can even upgrade your meal to an UNLI-RICE. *Good bye diet, indeed!*
Here’s the full menu featuring my 2 cutie patooties :)

South StrEAT
Tagaytay Road, Sta Rosa Laguna, Nuvali
So the first ever food park in the Philippines opened a new branch in Laguna and everyone’s crazyyyyy about it. Honestly I of course wanted to try it but at the same time I don’t. Does that make sense? I read a lot of reviews saying that there where no enough parking which is kinda expected kasi ganun din sa Maginhawa Street branch nila heehee Good thing though one afternoon, my sister and I were with our COOL grand parents somewhere in Paseo when our lola asked the golden question. “San tayo merienda?” Of course I had to suggest StrEAT. 3:30pm palang nun and 4pm nag-oopen yung food park so we were early enough not to expect a bunch of people there already.
I think it was a great choice kasi kahit sila lola nag enjoy. We tried a lot of new cool food stalls but yeah I wasn’t able to take too much photos because my battery was less than 10% that time. Ayos no? haha
But hey here are some of the food stalls I feel like it’s worth sharing:
Che Buona - Offers a lot of different pastas. We tried 4 differents kinds but I definitely LOVED their Lemon Chicken Pasta - 170php
One Potato, Two Potato - Photo palang alam mong sinful na but it’s a very comforting junk food. Masarap super. huhue
Plaza De Taqueria - We got their Tacos which was okay but I wanted to rave about their Quesadilla - 95php baby! The gooey cheese that will melt in your mouth. Ughhh! Worth it talaga :)
Juan Sago - 69php yung large. They offer different flavours too but we opted for the best seller one which was the Melon flavor daw. Refreshing :)
Xurreria Cafe - 150php for 6pcs. We got the classic chocolate flavor and it was also good :)
Starr’s Famous Shakes - Tried it before in Quezon City and it’s worth splurging. :)
Above Sea Level Ph - I honestly thought isang malupet na pakulo lang to pero nothing special. I was wrong. ANG SARAP NIYA SA RICE! Worth it kahit medjo pricey :)
WE TRIED OTHER FOOD STALLS (Kasi my lolo invited my other cousins also) pero as of the moment I personally think yan yung mga worth it i-try dun :)
