“Why are we running? Where are we going? “

Sports anime (my most favorite genre) inspires me to be passionate over something and to drive me in achieving my goals. This obsession led me to a hidden gem, “Run with the Wind (Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru)”. 

I’m writing right now it’s because this anime has touched my kokoro big time, like i’m gonna cry but at the same time, made my heart full. 

For the first few episodes, I was even bored. Like cmon, I need some action! I need that adrenaline rush!  and I thought it’s going to be the same, like protagonists achieving their dreams to be the best in Japan. But as the story progressed, I realized this is not my usual sports anime, this is just not about winning a game.

College boys with realistic and relatable personalities that I thought I would never needed. Or should I say, this is the slice of life I thought I would never needed. 

Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru was able to incorporate Running to our life’s purpose. Why do we run? Why are we running? and What’s our goal after we reach the top? - 

And I realized, these are the questions that I have been avoiding. Few more years, I’m turning 30 and I feel like I haven’t found my purpose yet. So, why am I living? Am I living just to die one day? 

 This is just too deep when I only have an emotional range of a teaspoon. uGH 

However, this anime also made me realize that reality might be difficult but we shouldn’t run away from it and to just move forward even if we’re bound to fail.  

So whatever I want to achieve or might want to aim someday, I should not randomly drift, but control how I drift and where I drift to. I shouldn’t run like the wind but rather, Run with the Wind.

PS. The aesthetic of PRODUCTION I.G (Same with Haikyuu) didn’t fail me . Also, the ending song is just too beautiful, as well as the other music BKG. I can’t stop listening to the album, tbh. Lol
