I think this is the most excited I’ve been to write a story in a long time. It’s a weird crossover but I think it fits who peach is.

I’ve always said peach was made a brat by Nikki so I think exploring more of who peach is could be nice. Plus peach drinking and getting to do things she can’t Do with Nikki wokkd be great.

I think Nikki demands a lot of peach and I don’t think he’d realize what was going on right away which would show her he is too busy for her.

I remember when I was growing up, how hopeful everything seemed. Our situation was kind of shitty, with choking smog and acid rain and oil embargoes, because it was the 1970's. But we had a bipartisan interest in environmentalism, in cleaning up the mess we'd allowed corporations to make of the planet. Solar panels were starting to appear on model homes. It went without saying that racism and sexism were bad and everyone should fight those things. As children, we watched animated PSAs with rock music about how the US was a melting pot and we should embrace immigration and diversity. My Catholic faith involved a lot of nuns singing about the love of God while playing guitar, and emphasis on doing good works and helping the poor. No one said anything about abortion.

My dad was able to support our whole family on just his salary as a programmer at IBM. He bought his house for $30K. My mom was able to stay at home, which was good because she was disabled and, as it turned out, wouldn't be able to keep a job due to chronic illness. My friends with moms who worked had things like swimming pools; two incomes meant doing better than average, not just barely getting by, and one income meant a nice house in the suburbs, private school, and way too many Christmas presents every year.

I've been wanting to go back to the good parts of that time for 40 years. Joe Biden is trying to go in that direction, but it's hard when the Republican Party has decided that no matter how beneficial any potential change to the laws might be for their constituents, they have to stand against those changes because they are wholly owned by corporations and billionnaires, and also because they can't let a Democratic president have a win.

Faith, family and country? Sure. A faith that was about doing good for the less fortunate, a family that sent two kids to Ivy League colleges on a middle class income, a country where both governing parties more or less agreed that people choking on poisonous fumes was bad and that the rich should pay a fair share. Sure, I'd like to go back to those simpler times, so get the fuck out of our way, Nikki Haley.

Even though I can’t say it to each of you this year, I still want to say how much I love you all. This past year and the year before have been two of the most difficult years I’ve ever been through, both because of stuff happening in the world and just everything going on in my personal life/health wise, and I don’t think I would’ve made it through had it not been for this website bringing me to some of the most incredible people. 

To the ones that let me dump 6,000+ word essays in your DMs on a random idea I came up with, to letting me brainstorm and talk things out even though we all know it probably won’t turn into anything, to getting into something I adore and live-blogging in my inbox, to just random check-ins/asks, it all means the absolute world to me. And on that note, I want to thank you all for continuing to indulge me; I know i wouldn’t have seventeen different AUs for one random crossover I came up with almost three (!!!) years ago, nor would I have written 2k words today of my latest one if y’all didn’t at least pretend to care jsfjsj 😅😅 and I know Izzy and Felix wouldn’t exist and I wouldn’t be contemplating adding yet another sibling if you guys hadn’t been so supportive. 🥺 I also know I definitely would’ve quit gifmaking if you guys didn’t reblog all my stuff (even some of you when you aren’t in the fandom?? 🥺🥺 idk how to thank you for that) and leave little nice tags 💕💕 And I want to thank a lot of you for the opposite, to the ones that let me in on their ideas, and their universes and their OCs, I love it all so much, like just getting a glimpse into all that is a great source of joy for me, and I hope you all know that you can always come to me with ideas, you don’t even have to ask, because I want to hear it all 💖

CAMP CAMP FANS PSA: david and max aren't the only found family hc!!!

LIKE DAVID AND NIKKI!! like nikki is pretty much the only kid who's actually happy to be at camp and david needs that so much!! nikki's the only one in the theme song who's having fun and participating in all the events!! all he wants is for everyone to love the place he loves and puts so much work into, and they all hate it (or act like they hate it) except for her.

Parenthood with Miya Osamu - 369 words of fluff 

“You idiot!” 

Miya Osamu takes his time to look up from the pot of pork belly he’s stirring over the stove. “Ya sure yer yellin’ at the right Miya, doll?” he asks, with a playful smirk that only serves to fan the flames of your anger. 

“I’m pretty sure your brother didn’t knock me up cos’  I would’ve remembered that”, you spit, bunching up the hems of your shirt in clenched fists, watching with sick satisfaction as Osamu’s face blanches white, wooden spoon falling to the floor. 

This is all his fault. His fault for being so ridiculously alluring and handsome that you couldn’t resist taking him into bed even though you were on antibiotics that night. His fault for peppering kisses down your neck in the morning and making you completely forget about popping by the pharmacy that day. 

“Sweetheart”, he breathes as he folds you into his arms, tucks you firmly against his chest. “You’re pregnant?” 

You sniffle, knocking your fists half-heartedly against the planes of his chest. The truth is - even though you’re married and you’ve always wanted kids, it’s a frightening prospect to confront. Osamu’s busy with expanding his business, you are settling down at your job, it doesn’t feel like the right time to suddenly be saddled with the responsibility of keeping a tiny human alive. 

“I’m scared”, you admit, drawing comfort from the warmth from his skin, the steady beat of his heart.

He tilts your face up to him, wipes your tears away with gentle thumbs. 

“So am I”, he says quietly. “But if you wanna keep it, I’m in.”

You consider it. 

You imagine a world where Miya Osamu straps your chubby little baby adorned in onigiri print onesie onto his back as he serves his customers. You imagine a world where he teaches your child how to slice and dice, their expressions mirroring each other, tongues poking out in concentration. You imagine a world where you and Osamu create a life that’s half his and half yours, a miracle of its own. 

Your heart swells. Your fears wither and die. 

“I’m in too”, you whisper, laughing with joy as he picks you up and twirls you all around the kitchen.

First impression: brian posehn what are you doing here. funny dude, fun character design, oh i think i saw some fancomics about him let’s see what that’s all about……..and now i’m drunk and crying over him and the therapist cool cool. i realized pretty quickly that jt and melm reminded me almost exactly of my old favorite pair from my old fandom so they gave this weird sense of nostalgia.

Impression now: love this guy and it’s entirely because of my best pal m. the time and love he’s put into making melmord into a fully developed character with so much lore and nuance is just. god i can’t overstate it enough. beautiful.

Favorite moment: the entire sewer scene plays out like a drug PSA and i quote it all the fucking time. doesn’t help that i think i can do a pretty good impression of him😭

Idea for a story: so many! currently i’ve been tossing around an idea that’s some guys AU-centric about him and jt taking a trip together (not before bothering their besties rikki and nikki ofc). and like all things on here this all started because of a tweet m made

Unpopular opinion: i have to say i’ve never seen a character with such a dedicated hatedom as melmord. for some reason the people who really hate him REALLY hate him. it’s like if you’re a charles fan, i can get it. but there’s some folks i’ve seen who just like. have it out for melm and i’m like man he got hit by a train i think we’re good😭😭 idk to each their own i guess. not my problem.

Favorite relationship: jt/melm owns my heart forever, but of course i can’t NOT mention rikki/melm i invented it! and rikki/nikki/melm. and i really love the tension between melm and charles; not necessarily romantic i just like how they play off each other (see: NMH AU)

Favorite headcanon: rikki kixx fan melmord is my fave. i know he wanted to manage him so bad but unfortunately rikki was all in to the sober rebranding by the time melmord might’ve had a chance😔

First impression: the guy meant to be the gross out character. ok. lucky for the creators my sense of humor didn’t change from when i was like 12 so he’s fucking hilarious

Impression now: one of my faves! he and skwis are tied for my fave members of the band. he’s the funnest to draw, i think he deserved better in terms of his writing oh my GOD, and again. he steals the show with his lines.

Favorite moment: the christmas special makes me lose my fucking mind every time. like there’s so many good deliveries and expressions during that whole ordeal, and i always love him and knubbler working together.

Idea for a story: the entirety of the last guys AU; i’m always wanting more murdertooth stuff and i want to see him and toki struggle in the post-apocalypse. just because. and the A-plot of 70s AU. let toki and will go on their soul-searching journeys or whatever.

Unpopular opinion: he’s in the same boat as toki where i think he really got the short end of the stick in terms of character writing. i’m hoping the new movie will solve this because he really deserved to have a slightly more serious look at his character. i think that’s a common difficulty for writers when it comes to the comic relief characters is that they don’t know how to give them their more grounded moments. but again, hopefully the new movie will remedy this, at least a little.

Favorite relationship: murdertooth‼️ they’re everything. planet piss you will always be famous.

Favorite headcanon: he’s from louisiana and nothing will change my mind. he was born there and raised there until his parents’ deaths, then he and his grandparents moved around several states in the south for years before eventually settling in florida. also one year pickles got crowned king of bacchus and will was PISSED

Okay so, last night I was watching Techno’s stream and he mentioned that he might have to switch over to Schlatt’s side because it seems like everyone wants to play the good guy.

That really got me thinking about the roles everyone is playing in this story. So, I thought it might be good to share my thought on this.

Here is my analysis by person:

I don’t know George, Sapnap, Punz, Ponk, Purpled, and everyone else’s stances on the situation, so I won’t be talking about them. If you know where they stand, let me know. It would be very much appreciated.

(PSA: this is written with the perspective that all of them are playing characters because, really, they all are. Even if that character is their persona or a version of themselves. This is all about what role all of them have in the storyline:)

Schlatt: Schlatt has done an amazing job of playing the villain. He is truly talented, man. Nobody wants to be the bad guy in this story, so we should all be thankful that Schlatt decided to be the villain. He has not only taken on the role of the bad guy, but he has gone above and beyond what was necessary. The only problem is that this story is being told through minecraft. If it was being told through other means, then I am quite sure that Schlatt could be the only villain and it would still be very interesting; however, this is in minecraft. This is an issue because in-game fights are bound to happen during a war and Schlatt is not the best minecraft player ever. When it comes to pvp, it’s likely that he’ll lose, even without Techno and Dream against him. So, a fight that’s just him vs everyone else will end up being very anticlimactic.

Techno: Despite what Schlatt has said, I really don’t think Techno is a traitor yet. I say “yet” because he said himself that he might have to switch sides for the sake of an interesting story. I really don’t like this solution though. It may be because I’m a big sbi fan, but I really like Techno, Wilbur, and Tommy on the same team, especially when it’s a conflict as “serious” as this. I don’t really know how everyone else feels about this, but I don’t think a lot of people will be happy if he betrays Pogtopia. And, with the view that a lot of Dream stans have of Techno (*cough cough* the duel), I don’t think it’ll be very good for Techno. Not to mention the fact that Eret has already done this. It would be a bit repetitive if a betrayal like that happened again.

Wilbur: He has done a great job both choosing/playing his character and keeping the pacing of the story steady. By remaining suspicious of everyone, he controls the pace and gives an opportunity for anybody to be on Schlatt’s side. He’s kind of the leader of the story. 

Tommy: The “main character.” He has a lot of options for where to take his character. (I just thought of this, but a Tommy betrayal would be the ultimate plot twist. It would be so interesting.) The way he plays his role fits very well, though. His eagerness to trust and work with others is a great contrast to Wilbur’s mistrust of everyone.

Quackity: I don’t really know much about Quackity’s feelings about Schlatt. He has expressed some concern about Schlatt’s harsh dictatorship, but I don’t think that he will turn against Schlatt, at least for a while. That’s probably the best move too. It provides Schlatt with more allies without it being too far fetched.

Nikki: She chose a role and she’s sticking to it, and I think it was a good move. She provides a clear picture of the corruption in the government. Her clear support of Wilbur and Tommy while still being a citizen of Manburg, is a great contrast to both Pogtopia and the spies(tubbo and fundy). You’re doing great, sweetie.

Fundy: Fundy is an interesting case. I personally think that he should have held off becoming a spy until later on. Out of everyone from l’manburg, I think that Fundy has the most reason to hold resentment towards the old l’manburg. He was one of the only people in l’manburg without any sort of position and he was teased an awful lot. I think that Fundy should’ve sided with Schlatt for a while, maybe have a few battles on their side, and then later realize what he’s done. This would allow for a longer storyline without leaving Fundy an enemy after the war.

Hbomb: I don’t think he’s going to have a big role in this war and I think that’s a smart move as he’s just joined. 

Eret: Okay, I support Eret’s decision to shoot for a redemption arc. First of all, I like Eret. Second of all, I think that it makes a lot of sense for him to be against Schlatt. He has a lot of memories with l’manburg and it can’t have been easy for him to watch the wall he worked so hard to build be torn down.

Badboyhalo: You’re doing great, Bad. The only way I could see Bad on Schlatt’s side is if it’s just because Schlatt’s in charge. It makes more sense for him to help Pogtopia, though, because he isn’t a citizen of Manburg. I’m satisfied with him doing what he’s doing.

Dream: This is probably the hottest take here, but I think Dream should be on Schlatt’s side. He has plenty of reasons to support Schlatt, and, if I’m not wrong, he did express support for Schlatt during his campaign. This move would balance the teams more than anyone else moving to Schlatt’s side. Also, since he has decided to stay out of it for the most part, it wouldn’t be too out of character for him to switch sides. I think Dream would fit well in that position, and, politically, it wouldn’t be too difficult to believe that Dream is doing it to ensure the safety of his territory and the rest of Dreamsmp.

#16: sully told same he was proud of him, and that he was a hero and saved the world. this is truly the first instance since swan song where someone genuinely told sam he was a hero/saved the world/thanked him for doing so. bobby said it once in like s7 but it was to dean, not to sam. it's really fucking sad isn't it? to sacrifice yourself to save the whole world, a sacrifice that remains the greatest in all of spn history, and the only person to truly congratulate you for it is your old imaginary friend.
