Watching MahoPre Mirai Days Ep 1

Firstly, I just wanna say congrats to everyone cuz our wait is finally over raaaa!! Our gals are here and are now back in action! <33

Ngl, I had rewatch this episode multiple times. First, I watched it with no subs then I rewatch it with subs and trying to see if I have missed anything. (And I rewatch it even more to make sure that I ain't dreaming it and so I can see Mirai--)

So, here's my thoughts and observation so far so -spoilers ahead-

So, the first scene of Mirai Days is really my highlight of the episode and here's my compilation of thoughts:

It's funny how Mirai flails around across the moon just like Riko did in ep 1 of MahoPre. It was a nice touch. And then, she was accused of drinking by Mofurun XD

You know, it's a bit strange when Mirai thinks back of Riko, she appears as a 14-year-old girl instead of the Adult Riko. Is there something in there or am I reading it too much?

I love how Mirai complains of Riko not visiting her every once in a while. She's like a sulky girlfriend lmao.

On the other note, does this mean Riko did not visit her on her birthday??? Riko?? *squint eyes*

Anywaayyss, I love how Riko is giving the lecture about the fundamentals of magic and then cutting back to Mirai executing it. It feels like I've got a re-introduction on how MahoPre works <3

For someone who has had her magic taken from her for five years and regained it back for a year, Mirai's control of water is quite spectacular and creative, especially in that large amount of volume. I still recall how she struggled to form a Mofurun using water in ep 6. Really shows how much she has improved as a magician <3

I just realized, how the fuck does Mirai manage both of studies and social life and her vigilantism? I can't even juggle my 3 of my games properly TT. But on serious note, she is definitely pushing herself and I hope she knows her limits (which is probably a no cuz that's Mirai we're talking about)

Aight, that was fun, let's move to another topic which was Airu (Isle? Whatever, I'm going Airu with this--). Originally, I thought of him as Deusmast's follower until he said he tamed one of them. From his outfit, I could say he is probably someone from the Non-Magic World who happens to stumble on Never Ending Chaos. His motives are vague aside from the fact he is seemed to be following some sort of script or at least on the process of making one since he did tell something about an "outline" is ready.

While I do wonder what he did to Ha-chan (after all, he single-handedly defeat/capture her), the only thing I've been curious about him is what is his connection to Mirai. Every villain in MahoPre so far has always addressed them as Precure, because they're a group obviously. But Airu, on the other hand, specifically addressed to Miracle and even called her real identity which was something their enemies don't do. Looking back now, it seems quite oddly specific of Airu to summon a teddy bear monster.

All in all, I love the episode. Their new transformation and attack has become even gayer which is good :D

Also, I love how Miracle gush about their new outfits. She's too kyut <33

Oh, Omegaverse chapter 4 was a total treat!!! My Time at Sandrock - Beginnings and characters

I warned y'all, here's my experience so far:

First up, kind of disappointed by the character creator. Coily hair is missing once more, the only hairstyle to choose (for women at least) is Bantu knots. I guess the space buns could count but all the hairstyles are done with straight, slick hair....

I do love the story so far though and the voice actors are really charming! I was a bit taken aback by everyone greeting me with a thick texan accent, there's "Howdy, pardner and y'all" all around me lmao. I should've seen that coming with the "Wild West" theme of the game but it surprised me :'D

The characters are a mixed bag. At first I was really miffed with how...nothing-burger everyone seemed to be. Not a single person really stood out to me as interesting. I waited a bit to get to know them better and now I really can't say who I love more, haha.

Pen sure is like a strange lizzard in a tank to me. Observing him is fascinating 😂 That guy is so bonkers, I can't wait to see what he gets up to next. the roundheads is my personal fav - it's a no-aliens historical with two, jamie, ben, and polly finding their way through 1600s london, & honestly the plot has always been secondary to the character moments crammed into it, especially with two and jamie. if you've ever seen people talking about them going to a frost fair, this is the book it's from. it's a good read as a whole but also for going back and reading specific cute/funny scenes imo

the wheel of ice is also good (though it does have two referring to jamie as 'boy', which. always throws me off every time I read it ngl gfdjskh). the overarching plot is pretty standard iirc, but again there's a bunch of cute moments (including some parental stuff with two and zoe), so it's a fun read!!

if you're just looking for stuff to read in general rather than new content specifically, I'd also recommend reading the target novelisations! they're not always perfect, and I find that they struggle with writing jamie a lot?? idk I find that some of them make him dumber and. hm. hypermasculine in a way he's not on screen, if that makes sense. but also sometimes they add a bunch of background detail to the stories and especially the secondary characters, which can be fun! like, iirc the underwater menace novelisation gives ara (the servant girl they befriend) a whole backstory with her father having opposed zaroff), which just adds a nice bit of depth to an otherwise pretty bare-bones character.

but in terms of written content my go-to is usually the big finish short trips books. which may be somewhat harder to find (I saved my copies literal years ago, so idk how available they are these days?), but definitely worth it if you can get hold of them! something about the format of short stories on specific topics seems to push them into being a lot more character-focused than some of the novels can be, and doing some interesting/thoughtful stuff. there's quite a few of them, though not all of them have two-era stories - some of the ones with the most memorable two-era stories for me are:

destination prague - my all-time favourite for personal reasons but also because I genuinely think the stories in this one SLAP. there's two two-era stories in here, both of which are probably 6b (in the sense that they're not explicit about it, but two and jamie are travelling alone, and I think thematically/character-wise they work best there). they both deal a lot with grief and how two in particular copes (or doesn't cope) with it. and they're super easy to read through a two/jamie lens if that's your thing!

the quality of leadership - jamie meets william wallace. what more do you need to know. slightly dubious historical content aside, this is a GREAT jamie character study, having him deal with meeting one of his heroes and being disappointed - imo it really gets into what jamie values and admires in people, and there's a Lot to get into there. there's also another two-era story in this (with jamie, ben, and polly) which I haven't read in ages but which I think has some really good ben and polly characterisation, so I've been meaning to reread!

life science - if you enjoy victoria, read. the. age. of. ambition. I am absolutely unable to be normal about this story I swear to god. just. the image of jamie being unable to shoot someone and victoria having to step in and do it for him. it's also got a bit of victoria backstory which is always fun

but there's a whole bunch of others!! ranging from 'two takes zoe to work at a soup kitchen over christmas' to 'jamie gets turned into a literal bear'. so, you know, probably something for everyone's taste.

back to actual novels for a second - I wouldn't necessarily recommend the indestructible man unless you're prepared for something REALLY heavy (like, 'this feels more like a dark au than a doctor who novel' sort of heavy). it occupies this weird space between 'this has so many two/jamie moments' and 'this needs to come with about 50 different trigger warnings'. but if you're into that sort of thing, it's there!! & I would not recommend combat rock at all, it's just. a racist sexist mess from the bits I've seen. absolutely not worth it

I'm not quite sure why I got so attached to Kite. Perhaps it was the air of tragedy surrounding him, how despite his sordid past he remained still open and gentle even if outlined by a healthy dose of cynicism.

But sometimes, I think it's the fact that he is so paradoxical. He's brave, yet fears death to such a degree that creates a whole Nen ability around it, is a pacifist yet will not hesitate to spill blood for his own sake or someone else's. Despite the many ultimatums and warnings of 'I will not protect you', he gave his arm and then his life to save Gon and Killua. He approaches each hunt and battle with a clear plan of action in mind, but his Hatsu takes the form of a roulette that gives him random weapons which are never what he wants, but what he seems to need for that exact situation, which he cannot dispel without using. When he draws a weapon, the decision is locked in and his or his opponent's fate is sealed. That's why each time he dubbs his weapon a bad roll. Every time he has to gamble, he sees himself as having run out of luck. When it comes to having to choose between himself and somebody else...well, there had never been a choice. In fact his aversion to using it may feed into its sheer power that we, unfortunately, saw too little of.

Let's go over his very first appearance when he saves Gon from the mother Foxbear.

It's not hard to see the strain searching for Ging has put on him; he's rash, prone to anger and punching a child for daring to get into trouble. In his mind, he's failing at his most important task, has not yet earned the right to call himself a hunter despite being in possession of his very own hunter license.

After killing the mother Foxbear and raging about having done so, he says this interesting line:

So yes, he finds killing for any reason rather irksome as most would do, yet I think something deeper caused him to absolutely lose it in this scene:

He had not been aware of Gon's identity, and despite being an animal lover and a naturalist, he made a choice to save the human instead of allowing nature to run its course. In fact, he says: 'No beast that harms a human must be allowed to live.'

How does one weight one life against another? How is the worth of it determined? The value of life... an impossible choice he's faced with and a choice which he seems to regret to some degree.

The Foxbear cub.

Here, he's speaking from experience, a tangible loss he has felt himself, and a hard and bitter life he does not want to impose on the cub.

His backstory is exclusive to the 2011 anime adaptation but there are hints alluding to it in the manga, for example, the fact that he does not seem to know his birthplace, or:

The choice of words is chilling.

Reading between the lines, one could draw the conclusion that he is an orphan. Something supporting this hypothesis is how he visibly deflates after Gon tells him his parents have (presumably) died.

So we see he is willing to go against his own moral code of not killing as to not doom another living being to the life he led, a lonely, hopeless existence that could barely be called one. He saw it best to put down the cub rather than leave it to die a painful, slow death.

The reason Kite himself isn't as cynical and cold-hearted as one would be after witnessing cruelty in its rawest form is those small crumbs of human kindness which he may have found in Ging.

It was not only a chance at an honorable life being Ging's apprentice gave him, but it also 'saved' him from being broken and twisted into what he hated and worst of all, death.

If we take that one minute of backstory as canon to his character-which I find myself inclined to do- these quirks of his make much more sense. He lived on the run. He lived on the knife's edge between giving up or pushing forwards. He lived as so a wrong move could be the difference between survival and the end.

Between rock and a hard place creates a mentality of black and white, absolute good or extreme evil, this or that. Except in reality, it's much harder than that. Deciding who to save and who to strike down is a heavy burden to bear.

It's almost easy to see how struggling to keep surviving could lend itself to a crippling fear of death and subsequently developing a Nen ability which once more goes against his own moral code in order to give himself a second chance...yet something about it strikes me as unlikely when I look at it this way.

Living life knowing it could end at any moment has the opposite effect, at least for me it did. One comes to accept that it is fleeting and while not eager to let it go, when death eventually and inevitably does come, there is no fighting it.

Especially when there is no hope that tomorrow will be a better day than this one.

Frequent near-death experiences numb one's fear in a way, even if it drives them to take precautions that render it unlikely to happen again and results in c-PTSD, but still, it does. It sparks a certain nihilistic view of 'if it all can end so easily, then what's the point of it all?'

Unless there are things to live for, a sure promise of a better future, and Ging gave Kite that. When he faced the threat of losing his second chance at life:

Really, what else could lead someone to develop the ability of 'the hell I'm going to die like this'?

I think a separate event, an even more brutal near-death experience that almost cost him his life as the hunter he so strived to be set him off to develop the secret roll of Crazy Slots, what I call Roll No.0, Ars moriendi. Unlike other weapons, it cannot come up in random and is directly summoned by him, or better said, summon by his overwhelming will to keep going and hopelessness of fighting a losing battle. I don't believe roll No.3 was the weapon that allowed him to reincarnate. I've named that one Wand of Fortune, a sort of armor instead of an offensive weapon since I find it hard to believe Kite, a Conjurer, would not focus on defences as well, and I will go into both mechanisms of these weapons hopefully in his backstory.

Despite knowing this battle to be a pointless one and being acutely aware of his soon to be demise, he did not immediately draw Ars moriendi, no, he stayed back and fought for the sake of the boys, kept Neferpitou occupied until they could reach safety. We can see evidence of this in the aftermath of the battle that seemed to have gone on until dawn, a torn apart landscape only signaling a fraction of the devastation that was Kite's power unleashed. It still wasn't enough.

In the anime sub I watched, when Gon apologizes to Ging about Kite's death, Ging said a sentence that infuriated me, because it belittled the utter suffering of the NGL trio.

"He would not die in your place." (No screenshot, sorry)

And I remember practically shouting at the screen, screaming 'how could you possibly say that? Of course he did. He absolutely did die in their place. How could you not know your own apprentice? Why-'

It was only last night that it hit me why Ging would say that.

Once upon a time, maybe Kite would not have given his life for anybody under any circumstances, even if he had a way out of it all. He would still need to die to come back to life.

His Thanatophobia could be attributed to the (possibly untreated) PTSD of the near-death experience in his later life, being so certain of dying that finding himself alive afterwards drove him to never want to go through that again. He quieted his fear by creating a sort of a loophole, that even if he lost the battle he would remain. Ging remembered that, but as evidence shows, something changed. Maybe he healed a bit, perhaps growing up dulled his fear to a certain degree, but eventually when it came down to his life or another's, he didn't choose himself.

Now, I can hear you saying 'but he didn't die, so what are you going on about??' And so I reply: Yes, he is alive, but he did die. He experienced that painful, horrible moment of staring death in the eyes and thinking 'This is it, this is the end', went through the actual process of having his soul removed from his body. And that moment stretches into infinity, ten lifetimes condensed into the mere seconds before oblivion.

Dying isn't so hard if one stays dead.

It's not so easy to open one's eyes and find oneself alive again after that, no matter how much that is the heart's desire. It's difficult, nigh-impossible to reconcile with life and walk amongst the living when everything had been so final, when death had been accepted to its fullest.

So Kite awakens, the twin of Meruem and back from the dead, his mind and identity both intact and fractured. In that he is Kite is no mistaking, yet he is not the same gentle pacifist whose first reaction upon sensing a monster's aura was to shield two kids from it at the cost of his arm.

I don't think many of you are familiar with Zoroastrian ideology, but Togashi is known for loving his religious imagery, and it's not only Christianism he derives inspiration from (evidence of which can be seen all over Kite's character and resurrection).

In Zurvanism-a branch of Zoroastrianism- there is talk of the twin spirits: Ahura Mazda -epitome of all that is good- and Ahriman -epitome of all that is evil-, the parent god Zurvin decides that the firstborn may rule in order to bring "heaven, hell, and everything in between."

Upon becoming aware of this fact, Ahriman forcibly tears through the womb to emerge first. Sounding familiar yet?

Zurvan relents to this turn of events only on one condition: Ahriman is given kingship for 9000 years, and then Ahura Mazda may rule for eternity.

Meruem ruled for 40 days, his death leaving the throne vacant for ant Kite, wearing a dead girl's face and seeming to be brewing some nefarious plan. No more is there any sign of that unrelenting pacifism and the sanctity of life he held so high, losing his own may have only served to show him how meaningless the pain and suffering he went through had been, dying only to be reborn as a member of the species that killed him. It may be that he has no desire to rule over the remaining Chimera ants or create an army of his own-

Yet I dread to think what a broken mind possessing limitless power might do to the world.

7 Anti LO Asks

1. Do you know what really gets my blood boiling about this comic? Persephone and Demeter's relationship.

In the myths, Demeter and Persephone loved each other more than anything. Their reunion is so important - it marked the coming of spring and growth. A whole cult was dedicated to this for crying out loud. Yes, the myths were far from perfect, but the Persephone and Demeter myth showed the strength of a loving mother-daughter relationship with Demeter searching endlessly to find her child that was ripped away and had her innocence forcibly taken.

Now, RS is not the only author to make Demeter this over-bearing mother type in order to put more positivity onto the Hades-Persephone relationship. However, RS takes this trend to a whole new level - to the point where I would even consider it misogyny.

How is it, she takes this beautiful mother-daughter relationship and makes it out to be an abusive and controlling one, and then takes the Hades-Persephone relationship from a forceful one to a loving, perfect relationship with no problems? How is it ok to ruin one relationship to elevate another?

I understand that many versions of the myth try to downplay Hades' actions, and even make it so Persephone actually falls in love with him and there is no rape. But it doesn't change that this relationship was problematic, and meant to represent the loss of innocence.

Then fans have the gall to claim this comic is feminist and then claim on top of that that Demeter and Persephone's relationship was the same in the myth? These fans clearly don't know the myths, and neither does RS.

Making Hades a good person is fine. Changing it up a bit to make Persephone's loss of innocence something else is also fine. But ruining Demeter and Persephone's relationship? Especially when Persephone has to spend half the year with her? So horrible. 

2. im sorry, but rachel cant introduce KRONOS coming back and then dropping it for several episodes to focus on a stake-less trail and persephone not knowing what lingerie to seduce hades in. like thats too much of an earth shaking development and huge stake plot point to just ignore for months to focus instead on something as minor as hxp's relationship, which only points out a huge flaw: why is hxp's relationship so minor in this? isnt the whole point supposed to be about them?

3. I think LO completely dropped the ball over Hades’ characterization. 

From the first ep I thought ok, this is good, we have some bones to see he’s not that lucky in love and is just tired and lonely, and while ignoring the creepy actions towards Persephone, I thought ok, Artemis hates him, Hestia hates, even Ares hates him, maybe once Persephone finally sees the underworld and probably gets to know him it’ll be a clever twist and they’ll be proven wrong. The underworld will turn out to be fair and just, the citizens will love Hades, he’ll be revealed to be a good leader and king and not like his brothers, it’ll be like everyone saying Hades of myth isn’t actually that bad, and it’ll help reinforce why this sweet and bubbly Persephone wants him, she sees the real him, not the mean rumors and assumptions, this is perfect.

And then it just didn’t happen. The exact opposite happened, actually.

We’re shown the LO underworld is cruel and unjust, where the poor dead are forced into slavery and Hades created a harsh class divide with him and him only on top, the citizens hate him, the underworld gods don’t trust him and openly seem ok if he’s taken out of power, he’s not a good leader and king and doesn’t even want the job yet keeps it for his own ego and grip of power m, and on top of it all he is just like his brothers, if not worse. He loves to get violent over any little slight against him, he hoards wealth and resources to enrich himself while his citizens starve and struggle to survive, he’s corrupt, he controls all the media and laws to bend to his will, sleeps with his brothers wife for centuries behind his back while claiming to be holier than thou, he has sex with his secretaries who are made dependent on him for any way to survive, and now he lusts after his barely legal intern who is also now dependent on him for her way to survive, and that’s only what I remember off the top of my head.

LO perfectly set up to prove Hades isn’t the devil or the false pop culture assumption that he’s evil and to show some actual facts from myth, and yet Rachel only ended up reinforcing exactly that and even making him even worse with her made up ideas, all while thinking having Persephone ignore or excuse it somehow makes it not bad or even a good thing. It’s honestly kind of impressive just how bad of writing that actually is. 

4. Chapter 172 is not that interesting. It’s setup had me excited to see Hephaestus and Hera and learning more about echo, but it’s cut so short. Because again the story can’t leave HXP out for 2 seconds.

I can also see why Zeus is gonna go insane. 

5. i agree w/ other anon. LO should have pulled a PJO or a BoZ and just made up OCs and have them interact with the gods than whatever Rachel thinks shes doing, which is lying she's being accurate and faithful while completely changing all of it, removing what is needed, and adding what isnt so that it lines up with no actual myth besides like, various 50 shades fanfic she read in 2015 and some popular tumblr text posts.

6 . the animation studio behind blood of zeus literally can only draw one face for the men and one face for the women and they were still able to make the gods all look distinct and hot while LO can't even bother to use more than 6 colors and can only have the women look as tiny as possible with the biggest boobs while the men are all just lego men.

Okay so like I stopped reading LO way back before season 1 ended, and a majority of my knowledge of the series comes from what I read here on your blog which is enough for me lol and I decided to read the latest 5 chapters just to see what's up (on zahard. I refuse to give the actual series any views)

And I just. Could not take the whole scene with Daphne running from Apollo seriously? The anatomy and art inconsistency was so distracting that i genuinely could not find it serious. Even when Thanatos discovers her hibernated body I couldn't take it seriously because of how she looked?

And when Hades had that call (??? Was it a call? Or his inner dialogue? I couldn't really tell ngl) with Zeus and said he's causing Persephone unnecessary distress, and that she didn't pose any threat. B!tch??? She killed a ton of mortals??? She has no control over her powers???? She's literally a fugitive for the aforementioned things??? She apparently woke Kronos up? (Idk if anyone knows about that, again my knowledge only spans to whatever I read here) Hello????

And I have a lot to say about the chapters starting the trial but I'll only mention one thing; Hades saying "I don't think blindly supporting my little brother would be doing him any favours (as a ruler)" had me cackling. This is coming from a guy blindly supporting a girl he's literally only known for a few weeks, who's like what, only recently turned 20? Sit tf down Hades you're not cool, you creepy ass overgrown smurf.

Overall I still hate this series lmao. Regarding art though I feel like I wouldn't be so miffed about the anatomy much if the character designs were consistent and the story was compelling. They literally change hairstyles and body types frame by frame, and it's distracting.

The timeline from what I read here is laughable. 4 years in publication with almost 200 chapters and you're telling me only like a month has passed canonically. That's wild and such poor writing.

And as someone who literally will sympathise with any lead character pretty quickly, the story makes me hate them. It makes me want to root against them. I also hate the fact this trash is somehow top ranked on webtoons when so many other stories are far better then it.

- most nights, you are already asleep by the time he finally crawls into bed

- you always try to stay up, but never manage to do so, and you may not see it, but he always smiles when he sees your sleeping form in his bed after he’s done working

- he’s so large, it’s comforting to you, and to him too; if you’re in his arms, he knows you’re ‪safe, and you know he’d protect you if anything happened

- likes it when you cuddle into his side, so he can leave soft kisses on your forehead while you sleep

- if he feels that your arms are cold, he’ll rub them softly

-  feels less scared to be vulnerable when you’re sleepy, so he often turns into a big mush, especially if he can tell you’re struggling to stay up

- very needy. it’s one of the most endearing things about him

- he always wants you to be in his arms, so cuddles aren’t just a bedtime thing

- if you’re in the common room, he’ll pull you into his side and cuddle you, even especially if the other boys are around

- if he wants to be more intimate while cuddling, he will throw you over his shoulder to take you to his room to have a bit of privacy

- he likes when he can see your face when you cuddle; he thinks you’re the prettiest thing to exist, so of course he wants to look at you and be able to touch your cheek and stuff like that

- will that stop him from blushing when you smile at him? of course not

- has a habit of tracing little shapes into your skin, especially if you tell him it’s comforting to you

- likes to make you feel as comfortable as possible when you cuddle, so you never feel like you have to leave his arms

- the type to make you laugh while you cuddle because he loves seeing you happy

- “y-you want to cuddle? do you mind if im playing?  no no, you’ll get too uncomfortable in the chair with me, i don’t want you to be uncomfortable”

- but looking at you will make his heart soften, so he’ll push his chair away from his desk to allow you to sit in his lap

- his heart would be racing for the first fifteen minutes, making it hard for him to concentrate on his game

- his room is usually messy with books, so cuddling in the common room is a common occurrence between you two

- not that he minds. the common room is always warm and the couch is comfy

- usually starts off with your head in his lap while he’s reading a book or drinking tea

- unlike lucifer, satan will definitely admit that he wants to hold you or be touching you

- you’re like his personal teddy bear! he loves to hold you, it gives him comfort

- he likes to play with your hair as well, especially if he sees that you like it

- if you ask, he’ll read what he’s reading out loud to you, it will most likely make you fall asleep because he gets really into reading the story which is kind of sexy ngl

- he finds it really cute when you fall asleep on him, he’ll often stop reading to give you some quiet, but will continue petting your head until he’s done

- once he’s done reading, he’ll very gently lift up your head off of his lap and snuggle behind you

- i see satan as someone who really likes spooning you, being the big spoon in particular 

- he likes to feel like he’s protecting you, so he likes to have both of his arms wrapped fully around you

- the type to leave kisses on the nape of your neck or your shoulder in a very sweet way or another way.... ;)

- another boy who is not afraid to admit he wants to cuddle; in fact, he tells you very often that he wants to cuddle!

- If you’re busy, he’ll wait until you’re done. he may be impatient, but if he waits for you to finish it means that he gets more time with you! - prefers when you lay on top of him, rather than beside him; he doesn’t want to hurt you by falling asleep and perhaps rolling on top of you, so he likes having you secure and on top of his chest

- a personal little heater, he is so warm

- another boy who really likes to be pet, in fact, it’ll put him to sleep in seconds

The black-haired demon was unfazed by the avatar of lust childish demeanor, released himself from his grasp with ease and continued with his speech.

—Diavolo has important matters to resolve in the human realm and he needs me and Barbatos to support him, it is not a vacation.—

—I hope all of you behave in my absence; Satan, you're in charge, ”Lucifer declared.

-What?!?! Satan in charge ?! - the rest complained.

—As much as it bothers me to admit it… Satan is the most responsible among you — Lucifer looked at the blonde demon in the eyes — I'm counting on you — and the avatar of pride came out hurriedly before he could even hear the answer of the fourth brother.

—Don't— whispered the avatar of wrath as his lips settled into a sinister smile at the plan that was being formulated in his head.

—Ahhh ~ finally it's THE day! I can't wait any longer !!!— upon hearing the title "prince of hell" we could normally assume that the person bearing it is someone intimidating, ruthless and rude; but there he was ... the heir to the throne of the Devildom jumping all over the place with immeasurable enthusiasm, glow sticks in each hand and a white shirt with the image of a sun with the face of Luis Miguel on the chest.

—Diavolo, I'd appreciate it if you could calm down a bit.

—Calm down?! Lucifer! I have been waiting for this for years! I will finally be able to be at a concert of my favorite singer from the human realm! Do you have any idea how much I struggled to get these tickets?!?! I had to do it the human way! line and everything!—The redhead claimed at the lack of enthusiasm from his best friend.

—His majesty stopped time and he moved a couple of old ladies to be able to acquire the tickets in the front row; it would be appreciated if you showed a bit of enthusiasm, Lucifer.—Barbatos finally spoke, the same formal and cold smile always etched on his face to which Lucifer could only replay in the same way.

—Oh! I won't let you two ruin my night with your formalities! At least pretend you're as excited as I am!—Diavolo begged but his stoic companions could only mutter a mocking “yeeei”as they waved their respective glow sticks reluctantly and the prince of hell could only roll his eyes.

Mistakes happen, they happen when we least expect them and even worse; at too inconvenient moments.

—Quick, Lucifer, we're next!— The tallest of the 3 hurried, still jumping up and down.

—Give me a second — The black-haired demon searched in his pockets for the tickets that Diavolo had asked him to keep until the day of the concert because he was afraid of losing them among all the paperwork that week and knowing the responsible nature of his friend he entrusted them to him .

The thing is ... Lucifer could not find the tickets ... and when he realized this, with all the tranquility of the world: he cleared his throat, clasped his hands and positioned himself firmly like a teacher about to explain something to a child .

—Diavolo, in terms of tickets… I forgot the ttickets— At first the prince of hell gave his friend an incredulous look and even proceeded to laugh.

—Sure, stop playing games, Lucifer— the redhead expected a laugh from his friend followed by him handing over the tickets, but that gesture never came.

—Your Majesty I think Lucifer is not joking— Barbatos corrected

And oh my god, have you ever seen a child's face when you take a toy that he just can’t have out of his hands? And then the endless crying begins? Yes, at that moment the heir to the throne of hell simply bursted in tears.

—It’s Okay, your majesty, everything is going to be fine— The butler tried to calm him down by patting him on the back.

—Diavolo, I can buy others, don't worry— But the redhead only limited himself to pointing at the sign above the theater entrance "Sold out" was written in large letters.

—Well… I guess I owe you the next concert, how about we go to your favorite restaurant, hmm? My treat — Despite his offer, his friend only let out a sigh of despair and helplessness.

—You have no idea where you left them?

—Ummm… I guess in my office…

—Tell your brothers to bring them to you! Please!!— Lucifer was quick to dial Satan's number, because by the way things were he would not be surprised if Diavolo's despair at this moment led him to pray.

Lucifer just stood there, glaring at his phone with a mixture of regret and anger.

"Damm you Simeon" was all that came to mind.

—Oh? Aren't those Solomon, Simeon and Luke?—Barbatos voice interrupted his thoughts.

And sure enough, there at the entrance of the theatre were the inhabitants of purgatory hall, dressed in human world clothing, waiting in line, the youngest of the group with tickets in hand.

—Oh!? I didn't knew they had bought tickets for this!

—They didn't

—How do you know?

—Because those are YOUR tickets!

—What?!?!—Diavolo's confused expression was quickly met with Lucifer's phone right in front of his face, showing him the text messages.

—I'll go get them—but before the avatar of pride could take another step towards the purgatory hall group, Barbatos hand stopped him in his tracks.

—Your Majesty, I believe Luke's birthday is just in a few days and he seems to be enjoying himself, why don't we let them keep the tickets?—the butler suggested politely.

It took a couple of seconds for the prince of hell tho make his desicion, but the smile on the small angel face made all trace of doubt dissipate, and with a heavy sigh he finally spoke.

— leat it be, Lucifer...

—...are you sure of it, Diavolo?

—yes, perhaps next year we'll go together...all of us, right?

Lucifer was surprised but with a small smile forming on his face he said yes.

—Now... who's hungry?! We should go to the fanciest place in town, after all, It's Lucifer's treat!—the prince joked

—Perhaps the restaurant we attended last year would be fine, your Majesty?

—Ah yes! That would do!

And while Lucifer's wallet had started regretting his desicions, he was happy he could spend this evening with his dearest friends.

okay but imagine this... dream smp but college au. or avatar au. or fantasy au--

OKAY HEAR ME OUT: multiple kingdoms set in a fantasy realm ALFKWLFKS—

Be prepared cause this might be long, but here’s how it would go:

Dianoia: Dream’s kingdom; prides itself on its knowledge of magic paired with elite strategy -> very powerful and controls a handful of other regions in the land, so they’re quite feared by many. Dream always wears his facemask into battles or intense meetings, but will take it off for banquets, balls, etc. just to be more charismatic. Turns often to his trusted comrades Sapnap and George whenever the kingdom must make a diplomatic decision. Punz (military captain), Callahan (head scholar) and Hbomb (main technology whiz) are also well-involved with maintaining the prowess of the kingdom. Purpled is a noble with very good relations to the king’s court, so he gets to kinda do his own thing in return for helping out the empire if he’s asked.

Antarctic Empire: dual rulers Phil and Technoblade, BECAUSE YOU KNOW HOW IT BE -> an absolute fucking unit when it comes to producing the most modern artillery, lots of advancements in transportation, (trident travel, polar bears, etc. - a whole bunch of ice-related modes of movement within the kingdom because it’s very efficient and there’s plenty available - as well as good air tech as a nod to Technoplane and Phil’s expertise with elytras). Techno is being taught by his father how to rule properly, but it’s evident he’s got a good touch when it comes to learning to be a good king. Despite his icy exterior (one that contrasts his father’s usual jovial nature), subjects of the kingdom are very fond of the heir. Phil also has two other sons :3 I wonder...

Maluterra (aka Badlands) -> BBH, Skeppy, Antfrost, and Sam. Bad is ringleader, but each main member plays integral roles in the maintaining of the lands. Very well known for their Robin Hood type strategies. They’re pretty rogue and non-traditional in comparison to other established empires, but because of the strong threat they pose if they were to ally with another kingdom, they are often recognized and invited to take part in diplomatic discussion with the powerhouses. Negotiation is occasionally difficult if BBH has his mind set on something. Most of their territory is in woody forest areas, where the sun only reaches certain parts of the ground floor because of the overarching treeline. While at first intimidating, every member is quite warm-hearted as long as you don’t cross them. The structures and places in which they live are very redstone-technical as a result of Sam’s contributions.

Southern Grove -> Eret’s kingdom, which is a very strong specialist in magic and the understanding of natural properties. Located in an enchanted forest area, a ways off from Maluterra boundaries. In order to learn more about magic and its abilities, Dianoia finds much interest in the smaller region. Eret has made it known that they are not a fan of the attention whenever the larger kingdom gets a bit too...overbearing. Home to some enchanted creatures and mayhaps an infamous red haired dryad named Sally who are often very sweet and helpful if you lose your way in the forest. Niki is also a member and is basically like an adopted sister to Eret, and he brings her along to events all the time as she’s very charismatic. People often regard her as the Lady of the Grove due to her vast knowledge of the place and its people.

L’manburg (duh) -> a fledgling city-state that’s fallen under the eye of Dianoia, established by the younger two sons of the Antarctic Empire, Wilbur and Tommy. Located on the outskirts of the Southern Grove, teetering on the edge of territory dominated by Dianoia. On Tommy’s sixteenth birthday, he was permitted to travel outside of the AE to choose what he wanted to focus on as he neared adulthood, and eventually decided to join up on Wilbur’s own journey. When he reached territory near the Grove, he finds that Wilbur had started a family with one of the dryads some years prior, but for reasons his brother doesn’t discuss he lost his lover and is left with a child. When they officially establish L’manburg as their own “kingdom”, Dianoia makes claim that they’re still part of their empire’s territory and therefore a subject. There are a few power struggles concerning the status of L’manburg.

Aarderidge -> That’s right bitches, Tubbo is a prince who’s been living as an orphaned child after the tragic passing of his father a few years prior. Since he is 16 and not of due age to currently take the throne into his hands completely, he’s permitted his father’s former consultants to assist him with leadership until he turns 18. While not the most prosperous kingdom, they are still a respected region because of their strong and friendly bonds with other leaders. They’re quite skilled at archery and horseback, and have very well thought out strategies whenever a rare conflict arises. Unlike a large percentage of the population and quite contrasted to what he’s known of his family’s heritage, Tubbo has magic abilities that allows him to manipulate plants and other organisms - which not many are aware of - and this additionally helps him form connections with animals. May or may not have some healing abilities he’s attempting to harness as well, but only very close comrades know about that. He’s incredibly intelligent despite having a happy-go-lucky aura about him, and it makes him very beloved by the people. Karl is an appointed noble who’s very good friends with Tubbo and who often visits the boy.

End Kingdom -> Not too much is actually known about this place, except for the fact that their people were mostly decimated in a disaster situation some time prior. There’s a living tale that a dragon used to protect the land, but its unclear if that rumor is true. Currently unkown how to access the old kingdom that is now in ruins. There’s a figure that lives amidst the inhabitants of the Southern Grove, who the region’s leaders secretly care for, with unassuming eyes that are never seen outside when it rains. Wonder what that’s about.

I’ve been thinking about this AU for a FAT MINUTE (and maybe been daydreaming myself as a daughter of the Antarctic Empire king dskjfdsk) and it’s only gotten more intricate every time I consider it. I kinda love it ngl, so I mean if anyone wants to like...talk about it with me...i mean 👉👈 Also, if anyone knows where the FUCK to put Quackity in all of this, I’d really like to hear it because I’m a bit stumped.
