NFL playoff picture Week 18 live updates: Jaguars' loss puts Bills, Steelers in field
The NFL’s 2023 regular season will reach its conclusion today, game No. 272 – the Buffalo Bills’ visit to the Miami Dolphins on “Sunday Night Football” – to determine the AFC East title while finalizing the conference’s playoff bracket. Before that occurs, the AFC South champion will also be determined while the Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Jacksonville Jaguars vie for two remaining playoff berths.
On the NFC side, the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles are both postseason-bound, though it’s not yet known which team will reign over the NFC East. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons could all win the NFC South, while the Saints, Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings are in play for the conference’s final wild-card berth.

Philadelphia Eagles earn a sounding victory against the Washington Commanders with a 26-18 win at the Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday Night Football. The Washington Commanders got it wrong at the final stretch despite having a 10-6 lead at the three quarters, providing the Eagles the opportunity to dominate the match and ended up winning it. The Washington Commanders lost the game the moment that Jalen Hurts executed a "tush push" to put the Philadelphia Eagles in the lead. Commanders were unable to make a good result with a critical fourth down inside field goal range's opportunity, and the Philadelphia Eagles took advantage of it with back-to-back touchdown drives. The two teams capped off by running back Saquon Barkley. The losing end managed a last-hour drive after quarterback Jayden Daniels scored a consolation touchdown for former Eagles tight end Zach Ertz. Daniels again hit the former Eagles TE Zach Ertz for a two-point conversion, but this attempt came in late and could not turn their loss into a win. The Commanders are still in the NFC playoff hunt as a potential wild card but follow the Philadelphia Eagles by 1.5 games in the division now at 7-4. The team will play again in a Week 12 game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, November 24, at home, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. ET. https://youtu.be/cS-Ko1a19KE Read the full article

[Poor Chronicles Pt. 43]
TOPICS: SEXI (“Final” Update Pt. 4)/“Coworker Hell”🔥 Experiences/HORNDAWG/“Coworker Hell”🔥 Experiences 2/Football (NFL)/Savings/“No Game” Girl/Photography/Videography/Room/E-Pal (Pen Pal)
A “[Poor Chronicles Pt. 42]” (UPDATE)
Returning…again! SEXI is just a complicated situation. She messages me, I reply. I message HER… I’m trying to fuuuuuucccckkk. SEXI is developing a terrible relationship with me. It’s awesome
The manager who I said I’d never fuck (let’s call her SEXI #2), resigned. She’s finishing school, so she had to make time for her career and the transition. She was excited to go. I’m 100% sure she’s had a “crush” on me since I got interviewed there…
I caught her giving me a good look, a couple looks. I was like, “Oh, pretty hispanic girl”. She’s Mexican
Coworker who I said I’d never fuck (let’s call her SEXI #3).
[I thought she was Mexican too, until I found out her name. She just dyed her hair, she’s naturally blonde. It was uncertain from the start anyway…]
She graduated college and resigned. She was my favorite coworker, aside from a couple others along the way… she frequently brought up when we hated each other when I first started working there. We used to have passive aggressive conversations where we were borderline disrespecting the fuck out of each other…PROFESSIONALLY. It was hot. I was pissed. I was like, I can’t fuck this bitch…and she fucks white boys…
Right before she resigned, she talked to me about her and her boyfriend breaking up. I thought it was a white boy… the guy was black, with dreads. Had his shirt off and his back to the camera. I just got surprised by a black ex boyfriend and a picture for proof, so I said, “________, I’m about to say something REALLY gay right now, but that dude (nigga) was fat and probably like a 6 or a 1/10, you could do better…”
In other words, myself. When she comes to her senses and sees she wants to do more than just be a random black man’s girlfriend… and get fucked
They pissed me off in the first month, so they became my work besties.
HORNDAWG, went off to college on the other side of the country. I was excited for her. On her first day, I thought she was just some tall, skinny nerd who would be KIND OF funny, who I said should get tattoos. She ended up being some pretty long haired girl with big titties and a really big ass. Crazy statistics for her physical appearance
She was like my other work bestie. Great coworker chemistry. Interesting person. Smelled fucking GOOD.
Otherwise, earlier this year, I had run into this goth girl with dark brown hair who worked at my job and quit after about a month. I knew she was going to quit, she was struggling to remain optimistic about how hard the job really was. She had a fat ass… she ran into me outside of my job after I clocked out, one day. It had been more than 6 months, so I was blanking, she asks, “Remember me?”. I almost thought she was from one of the colleges I attended, she quickly reminded me before I remembered her name…still can’t remember it. Erin? I don’t know.

[FOOTBALL (NFL)]
The Ravens and Eagles seem to be headed towards the playoffs again, but no signs of the Dallas Cowboys, who have seemingly traded their winning season and playoff berth to division rivals Washington Commanders. The San Francisco 49ers are in the hunt, but no guarantees that the Minnesota Vikings won’t take the #7 seed.
The Detroit Lions lead the NFC again, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers look to return to the Wild Card round playoffs again. The Chiefs are currently, and only currently, undefeated with a 9-0, win-loss record and are likely to be in the Super Bowl given the Denver Broncos, Baltimore Ravens or Pittsburgh Steelers defeat them in the playoffs this season.
The same few teams seem to be in the playoffs, ONCE AGAIN! Consistency! JUST LIKE IT SHOULD BE! But not these teams, maybe a couple to a few different ones. MAYBE EVEN ONE! Just something INTERESTING.
_______________________________________________
[SAVINGS]
I have removed the savings and decided to just budget my money based on how consistent my work is, alter the budget depending on my work day:off day ratio.
Now, I always carry money, to the point that saving is not necessary until I see purpose in holding large amounts of cash over a long period other than traveling plans and monthly expenses
_______________________________________________
The girl from college who has no game, HAS to get fucked. Her life is boring, I assume and can use a touch up. Something interesting with SOMEONE interesting. A normal love life with lots of problems, arguments and “stupid” anger…
Something to spice that shit up a bit
The other girl in a similar situation, is still a possible contender for being added to the roster.
_______________________________________________
I’ve found a separate love for photographing and videographing scenes rather than myself and my fashion
It was hard to remain being excited when the source of all the excitement couldn’t be pinpointed right away…
I like where it’s headed, I just don’t know what I’d use it for…

[ROOM]
Gaming system with a flat screen television certainly elevates the experience. Being horny in a room USED to, and STILL IS, QUITE, the experience…
Both are immaculate experiences to have

Haven’t responded to my e-pal/pen pal in over 10 weeks. A little over 2 months. This is saddening, but I shall recover

[LIFE OPTIMISM UPDATE: MY FUTURE]
I still love how my life is going, I just thought I would be FINDING more things to appreciate about life, not creating them myself to the best of my abilities.
Still not feeling drained, unmotivated or the sudden urge to give up. Regardless on what progress I “do or don’t make”, I feel that things continue to workout how they should… as perfectly as you dream them. I haven’t exactly stopped all efforts on everything, but I HAVE been at a comfortable “standstill” pretty much for the entirety of the year, 2024. I’ve decided my success simply will and HAS to help others, in some way. Whether I intended on it or not. Still feeling like I should limit seeing people or speaking to them… still barely finding new things that I need or want, I only can work with what I have and make something new WITH it.
I repeat, “Suicide of your success is crazy, but bettering a world who doesn’t value your offerings is crazier! NAIL. IN. COFFIN.”
Errands fill my day more than rest on the average day. Have a great and wonderful day or night and even more wonderful, TOMORROW!

New Post has been published on https://www.packernet.com/blog/2024/10/23/heres-what-happened-the-last-5-times-the-packers-started-5-2/
Here’s What Happened the Last 5 Times the Packers Started 5-2
After a hard-fought but thrilling win over the Houston Texans, the Packers (5-2) have now reeled off three in a row, inserting themselves in the Playoff race, albeit one where they must navigate a brutal-looking NFC North. All four teams in the division have a winning record, and all four teams would qualify for the Playoffs (the Packers, Vikings, and Bears would get wildcards; the Lions top the division) if the season were to end today.
Of course, the season has a long way to run yet. The Packers are looking in good shape to exceed the 10 wins that were projected for them at the beginning of the season, yet there are still questions in several areas for the Packers. Indeed, as those betting on NFL player props will tell you, there’s a sense of inconsistency about several players that has frustrated fans, as well as, undoubtedly, Matt LeFleur. In short, while the Playoffs are looking likely, there’s still a lot for the Packers to work on.
However, instead of looking forward, let’s look back. A 5-2 record is a decent start to the season after seven games. But what happened the last time the Packers began with five wins and a couple of losses? As you will see, it has always led to the Playoffs, but it’s not always a straight road. Let’s dive in:
2020
Final record: 13-3
The Packers’ second season under LeFleur started with a bang, had a few hiccups in the middle, and saw a strong finish for the Packers to secure the No.1 seed position for the NFC. Aaron Rodgers was in tremendous form across the season, securing his third of four MVP awards in a Packers uniform. Hopes were obviously high going into the Playoffs, and the fans began to believe more when the Packers routed the NFL-leading defense of the Rams in the Divisional Round, but a combination of Tom Brady and a dogged Buccaneers defense meant the Packers couldn’t secure a ticket to Super Bowl LV.
2014
Final record: 12-4
The Packers started this one slowly, not able to get their offense going in losses to the Seahawks and Lions, but they soon found their groove across the fall, with Rodgers clicking into gear. By November, in particular, the Packers’ offense looked great, with successive 50+ point winning games over the Bears and Eagles. A hard-fought win over the Cowboys set up a showdown with the Seahawks in the NFC Championship. Fans are painfully aware of what happened next, with the Packers losing despite being 16-0 up at halftime and having a 19-7 lead late in the 4th quarter.
2013
Final record: 8-7-1
After starting the season 1-2, the Packers came out of their Bye Week with a point to prove, reeling off four wins in a row to transform a poor start into a very respectable one. Yet, it should also act as a cautionary tale for Packers fans getting too ahead of themselves this season. After going 5-2, the Packers failed to win in their next five, heading into the final four games with a 5-6-1 record. They did enough to finish the season with three wins from four, sneaking into the wild card game. That would end in disappointment, though, with yet another defeat to the 49ers at an absolutely freezing Lambeau Field that ended the Packers’ season.
2001
For the next 5-2 start, we have to go way back to the start of the 2000s. Defense was on top in the early part of the season, with the Packers only conceding 13 points across the first three games (all wins). Despite beating the Bears twice in the regular season, Chicago (13-3) still pipped the Packers to the NFC Central title. The Wild Card Playoffs represent a crucial point in the Packers’ modern history, as it was the last time they beat the 49ers in postseason football (5 playoff losses since then). The Packers came up short against the Rams in the Divisional Round.
1998
Finishing up with the 1998/99 season, the Packers were coming off two successive Super Bowl appearances, and big things were expected with Brett Favre in his pomp (coming off three consecutive MVP-winning seasons). Things didn’t exactly pan out that way, though. While the Packers went on to secure an 11-5 record, they were miles behind the Vikings (15-1) in the NFC Central, losing twice to the divisional rival in the regular season. In the Wild Card Playoffs, it was another chapter in the storied history of the Packers-49ers rivalry, with the latter coming out on top in a tight game at Candlestick Park.

NFL Week 1 Winner and Losers
By; BenJarmin Munguia
Date: September 10th, 2024
Winner: Bears Defense and Special teams.
Yes, they are who we thought they were.
Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears were down 17-0 late in the first half. The offense could not get anything going until the last drive of the first half when Cario Santos kicked a 24-yard field goal to trail the Tennessee Titans 17-3.
The Bears could not score anything off the offense, but again, they are who we thought they were.
In the third quarter, the Bears' Jonathan Owens returned a blocked punt for a touchdown, pulling Chicago in 17-10. In the fourth quarter, after Santos made two more field goals, the Titans quarterback Will Levis was picked off by Bears cornerback Tyrique Stevenson, giving Chicago a 24-17 victory.
It reminds me of the 2006 NFL Season when the Bears played against the Arizona Cardinals. The Bears were down 20-3 at the half, and former Bears quarterback Rex Grossman threw 4 interceptions; the tides switched as the dominating Bears defense scored on a pick-six and a fumble return for a touchdown, and late in the 4th quarter, Hall-of-Fame kick returner Devin Hester return a punt 89 yards to the endzone, giving the Bears a comeback 23-24 victory over the Cardinals without scoring any offensive touchdowns.
Winner: Jerod Mayo
Trying to fill in the shoes of a future Hall-of-Fame coach is a tough job; doing that and playing against a Super Bowl contender on the road for your first game as a head coach is even more challenging.
The New England Patriots played the Cincinnati Bengals in Cincinnati. They pulled off a 16-10 upset win, giving Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo his first-ever victory as a head coach.
New England got away with winning with 3 field goals, and running back Rhamondre Stevenson rushed for 120 yards on 25 carries, with the team's only touchdown holding Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow only to 164 passing yards. And forcing 2 fumbles.
Pretty Impressive.
Winner: Sam Darnold
If there is anything to say about Darnold's career, it might involve the word "bust" and not someone you want to have under center when your future franchise quarterback is out for the year.
However, Darnold was really different this time.
The Minnesota Vikings flew to East Rutherford to take on Daniel Jones and the New York Giants in what might seem like a sleep fest. However, Darnold put up some numbers, completing 19 of his 24 pass attempts for 208 yards and 2 touchdowns, giving Minnesota a whopping 28-6 victory over the Saquan Barkely-less Giants.
Photo Credit: A to Z Sports
Darnold connected to star wide receiver Justin Jefferson 4 times for 59 yards and a touchdown.
I don't know if Darnold could lead the Vikings to even a wild card spot in the playoffs, especially since it's Week 1, but fans should be happy with what they saw at MetLife Stadium.
Winner: Baker Mayfield
It seems like any time the Buccaneers win, Mayfield laughs at the Browns, mainly since he was traded to the Panthers from the Browns in 2022.
On Sunday, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield destroyed the Washington Commanders' defense, and it wasn't even close. Mayfield completed 24 of his 30 passes for 289 yards and threw four touchdowns, and the Buccaneers annihilated the Commanders 37-20.
Mayfield had some help in the air, connecting to future Hall-of-Fame wide receiver Mike Evans. Hauling 5 catches for 61 yards and two touchdowns. These two are the only real threats to the gloomy NFC South division.
Winner: Any San Francisco 49ers Running Back.
The 49ers have had many running backs who have made it to the league over the years and become the perfect tool for their offense: Matt Brida, Elijah Mitchell, Christian McCaffery, Frank Gore, Roger Craig, and the list goes on and on.
But tonight really put a stamp on that notice,
Christian McCaffery was ruled out tonight with a calf injury, and backup running back Jordan Mason would make his first NFL start against the Gang Green New York Jets defense.
Jordan Mason absolutely fooled the Jets' defense.
At the end of the first half, Mason scored a touchdown and ran for 75 yards on 11 carries in the first half. Mason was a force to be wrecked with. It seems that the 49ers didn't have McCaffery in the injury Report.
Mason finished with 145 yards on 28 carries and a touchdown as the 49ers steamrolled the New York Jets 32-19.
Sometimes, you have to call them out like you mean it. Who were the biggest losers in Week 1
Loser: Ronnie Stanley
You won't win many games when you get flagged FOUR TIMES for illegal formation. The Baltimore Ravens were penalized 7 times for 64 yards during their heartbreaking 20-27 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Loser: DeShaun Watson
We finally get to see a healthy DeShaun Watson for the Cleveland Browns, and with that $230 million contract, let's see Watson making a name for himself in the books.
Watson was horrible on Sunday vs the Dallas Cowboys, throwing on 45 attempts for 169 yards, 2 interceptions, 1 touchdown, and 24 completions during their ugly 33-17 loss to the Cowboys. Watson did use his legs and rushed for 39 yards on 5 carries, so not all was at a loss.
But you can't put all the blame on Watson. You also need an O-line that can protect your quarterback. Getting sacked six times might make you want to throw the ball away and get you thinking about next Week.
Loser: New York Jets Defense.
You are against a team whose star wide receiver has yet to play all preseason and off-season, and you are against a team without its star running back. Sure, there is no way you will allow 32 points tonight.
Photo Credit: NBC Sports Bay Area
Nah, the Jets totally did that. The most significant mouth drop was when the 49ers' backup running back, Jordan Mason, trampled over the Jets for 145 yards on 28 carries and a touchdown against the Gang Green defense. 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy completed 19 of his 29 passes for 231 yards.
It's not the ideal start for the New York Jets.
Biggest Loser: New York Giants
It's safe to say that the New York Giants are the only team in NFL history to start 0-2 after Week 1. Obviously, the Giants got embarrassed by the Minnesota Vikings 28-6 on Sunday, but the most significant loss they took this Week was watching their former running back Saquan Barkley score 3 touchdowns for their division rival, the Philadelphia Eagles, as they routed the Green Bay Packers 29-34.
Mind you, the Giants only put up 6 points this Week while Barkley raked up 3 touchdowns.
Letting Barkley go for a quarterback who has thrown 2 touchdowns since his contract extension was worth it.
This will be a long season for the Giants, and they are still sticking with Daniel Jones as their starter.

what is your ideal playoff? not necessarily who will go through (only if you want to)
afc: chiefs (duh), then the jets, patriots, and texans (because they'll statistically be the easiest to beat and i like winning. sorry if you're a fan of any of these teams, i swear it's not personal 😭), the browns because i want to see them suffer (i'm so sorry if you're a browns fan i just have petty beef), and then ofc the dolphins and steelers for our beloved bestie jake anon
nfc: packers (for packers anon), eagles, buccaneers, lions, and bears (for a few of my irl friends and anons who would be excited), the cardinals because i have to pick an nfc west team and they're the least likely to be a threat, same logic for the commanders because i need a third wild card team

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have made a resounding commitment to their starting quarterback, agreeing to terms with Baker Mayfield on a three-year, $100 million contract extension. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the deal includes a staggering $50 million guaranteed.
The move solidifies Mayfield's status as the face of the franchise, rewarding him for a career-revitalizing campaign in 2023. After joining the Bucs on a modest $4 million deal in the wake of Tom Brady's retirement, the former No. 1 overall pick seized the opportunity, posting personal bests in completions (364), passing yards (4,045), and touchdowns (28).
Mayfield's resurgence was instrumental in propelling Tampa Bay to its third consecutive NFC South title and a hard-fought wild card victory. His rapport with star wideout Mike Evans was particularly notable, as the two connected for one of Evans' most productive seasons. Chris Godwin also eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards, while emerging tight end Cade Otton took a significant step forward.
While Mayfield's deep ball has historically been a strength, he experienced some inconsistencies in that area last season, completing just 29.7% of his attempts beyond 20 yards for 744 yards, nine touchdowns, and four interceptions. If he can shore up that aspect of his game, it could unlock even greater potential for the Bucs' aerial attack.
Despite the ups and downs, Mayfield's body of work proved enough to convince Tampa Bay's brass to make a substantial long-term investment. Over his seven-year career, the 27-year-old has amassed 20,333 passing yards, 130 touchdowns, and a 2-2 postseason record.
The Buccaneers entered the offseason with a clear priority: retaining their core performers slated for free agency. They've already checked several boxes, re-signing Evans and franchising safety Antoine Winfield Jr. in hopes of working out an extension by summer.
By locking down Mayfield, Tampa Bay ensures continuity on offense as they pursue another divisional crown and a deeper playoff run. The legal tampering period begins Monday, March 11th, but the quarterback conversation in Tampa is now settled.
While work remains to bolster the roster, the Bucs have solidified their foundation by keeping Mayfield at the helm of an attack that tormented defenses in 2023. As the team builds around its franchise QB, expectations will be high for Tampa to contend for championships in the coming years.
