-most may know this, but I changed the plot of the Story within the first few chapters. When Wukong left to head to the City, intent on finding a new home for his son… he was originally intended to go through with that.

I have Many MANY chapters of this unfolding- of Wukong actually going through with abandoning MK.

It was farrrr different than what the story has changed to now. And I love the direction the story is now going, but I had a lot of angst planned for the original :)

One day I might even post what originally was intended to happen.

How do the courts react to Haoyu? I mean, this is the youngest stone monkey in existence and also looks like, in Pigsy's words "a Lisa Frank" piece and a mixture of Spicynoodles, so...

Haoyu arrives + Royal court confusion.

For those confused by the "Lisa Frank" comment; Haoyu has been imbedded with the power of the Five Heavenly (or Five-Coloured) Stones, and comes out with bits of rainbows in his features - notably his eyes. Add in Red Son's absorbed life energy, and you've got a ginger-furred baby monkey (reference pic is a langur) who sneezes rainbow fire.

The celestial and demon courts are jubilant, if not very confused. Haoyu's birth is the greatest news all of the Celestial Realm has had in months since the passing of the Jade Emperor. But the knowledge that the parents of said child is the Emperor's recently-recognised half-bull grandson + the surprise stone monkey successor of Sun Wukong = makes everyone baffled at the same time.

The Queen Mother has gone all out on the celebration ever since she learned that both parent and baby were safe and healthy. She's been planning the whole event for at least five weeks. Xiwangmu's great-grandson is the shining light of the universe as far as she's concerned!

MK shows up to the royal birth announcement wearing sweatpants cus monkey boy be exhausted. Red Son appears in traditional court attire, happily showing off MK and the baby like they both didn't just roll out of bed that morning. Also his big royal robe makes a great impromptu blanket once the three of them become too tired with the festivities.

Haoyu himself is still in "will not stop clinging to mom or will scream"-stage of development. So if a hard-headed noble or servant tried to take the baby off of MK; they get hit with the loudest screeching a barely-1-pound baby monkey can make. And a near-death experience courtesy of all baby's protective family members. MK has to stop Xiwangmu from reflexively tossing the offender off a cloud.

Many of the celestials and trusted demons of the party at first assume Sun Wukong and the Six Eared Macaque to be MK's parents, only to be shocked to be introduced to a stout pig-man and a gangly human scholar.

Tang, proudly: "He takes more after me, as you can see." MK & Pigsy: (*fond sighs*)

Wukong and Macaque still proudly refer to Haoyu as their "grand-student". Especially Macaque ever since the baby saw his real ears and started making his own wiggle and glow as some sort of wordless communication - Mei calls it "baby rave mode".

DBK is trying his best not to cry or explode out of his clothing. Haoyu isn't even the size of a human baby, and the old Bull sobs whenever he sees him. Haoyu loves his big purple Yeye Bull, and has started doing little calf-headbutts to greet him. DBK would destroy heaven itself for this little orange puffball.

DBK and Xiwangmu have also come to a tentative agreement; even though the Queen Mother didn't approve of the method in which DBK and PIF eloped, he's still the better of her son-in-laws (Li Jing has been kicked down the celestial food chain ever since the incident with the Stones).

PIF is busy making her presence known since this is her first time presenting to the celestial court in centuries. She's worse than Red for showing off MK and the baby; bragging to any curious ear that dare listens.

PIF, talking to another noblewoman: "Well clearly Xiaotian and my son would produce the first great-grandchild! Red Son has had an infatuation for the boy ever since they met!" Red Son, embarrassed: "Mother!" MK, laughing: "Aww!! Babe! You had a crush on me?" Red Son: "MK, we're legally married with a baby." MK, giggling: "Still!"

Nezha's hackles are raised, watching over MK's shoulder like a guard dog. Not only keeping to his duty as Protector of Children - but also because part of the ceremony is him giving Haoyu his 100-day blessing (his Man Yue was a lot smaller and personal). It's a big deal for him. Erlang thankfully provides him some backup. At least the little guy isn't keen on being anywhere not attached to his parents anytime soon.

At the end of the day Mei and the rest of the Noodle Gang manage to distract the party so MK and Red can get out of there and relax. it's been a busy day for these two, and an even bigger one for the baby.

Xiwangmu goes searching for them frantically after noticing her Grandson and Grandson-in-law missing from the party. She finds them curled up in their guest room with little Haoyu snoring away between them. She quietly grants them her blessing and leaves the three sleep on. Her little rainbow quartz has a big universe to see.

Right, so from the start he's known about you. Of course, Nezha knows about most, if not all of the deities within the Celestial Realm, and you were no exception. To be honest, the two of you only have some interactions, just a simple 'hello' and 'how's your duties coming along?' you know, just simple talk.

Now, don't assume he doesn't like you, he actually thinks you're pretty interesting. While he protects that map to the Samadhi Fire, you play your music and melodies. Sometimes during his off-days (which are HORRIBLY) rare, he likes to sit down in the gardens you've made and listen to one of your performances.

Eventually the two of you get attached to each other and become the topic of some gossip with the other deities and officials...not like you guys care much. Blah, blah, blah, you two confess your feelings, everyone's happy, ect.

Now time for the actual headcanons!

He's very gentle with you, oftentimes giving you massages like the charming little Lotus Prince he is, especially since your fingers become sore after practicing with your instruments a little too much...

Of course he adores your playing! Why wouldn't he? It's common knowledge that you're a master at music, and he's a gentleman at heart. Like- did you really think that Nezha wouldn't be concerned whenever you talk about how your fingers hurt from playing? He's pretty damn observant when he wants to be, that's a guarantee.

High chance he went to your place after he got beat up by Wukong, complained about the guy when he was getting patched up. His ass is NOT going to simply...head immediately over to where that damned primate was. (he would've done it if he wasn't bruised as hell)

Sometimes he gives you gifts, especially on days that seem important to you (do deities remember their birthdays??), like one time he gave you a golden bangle with lotus and iris carving into it. He loves it when you wear them and you cannot change my mind-

He can get sleep-deprived a lot, and when he's really tired he likes to rest his head on your boobs. Calls them 'pillows fit for a god'...he also likes to rest his head on your lap, absolutely loves it when you comb through his hair, high chance he'll be out like a light.

Sometimes you ask (force) him to come down to the mortal realm with you for fun. You guys went to a museum once and Nezha got a bit sour after noticing one of the statues got his nose wrong or something lmao-

It wasn’t long before the battle against the Brotherhood. Wukong’s house was abuzz with tension and barely contained magic as everybody got ready for this final confrontation- well, except for Nezha, but it wasn't really his choice.

The lotus prince laid on his side on the simian’s couch, barely moving and curled up in on himself. His entire body felt clammy, and hot- and moving his limbs took far more energy than he cared to exert. Add that to his fresh stitches beneath his bandages and the others busy preparing for the upcoming battle, it seemed best for him to silently lay there and wait for the episode to pass.

But someone, out of goodwill, got concerned by his episode, and aggressively shook the prince. "Nezha??? Are you okay?" MK fretted, leaning over the marinating deity. His hand pressed against Nezha’s arm, and MK winced, jumping back. "Woah, you're burning up!"

Nezha startled from the sudden interruption, managing to shift from his good side to lie on his back. He looked up at MK, starting "I-"

"He's sick."

Wukong helpfully interrupted the conversation from his seat outside on the porch, sipping a drink and rereading his ‘battle plan’ with practiced casualty. MK immediately shifted into worried younger brother mode at those words, wringing his hands as he stood over Nezha.

Nezha shifted himself up on one arm to glare at the monkey. "Wukong."

Wukong raised an eyebrow, sipping his drink even louder. "Yessssss?" He drawled.

"I don't remember asking you to share my medical history with the world." Nezha snapped, glaring even harder at him.

Wukong sighed, rolling his eyes. "Look, Nezha," he set down his cup, "the kid would have found out eventually anyway. You never tell anyone what's wrong with you til it's actually an issue."

"Says the Great Sun Wukong." Nezha muttered back sarcastically, but finally turned his attention back to MK, who'd just been standing there worried the entire time. "Thank you for your concern, but I'm fine, MK. I am just… permanently sick." He sighed. Nezha stared after him, expression equal parts cross, touched, and tired. Wukong just laughed from his spot outside the doorway, picking up his cup again with his tail.

"Welcome to the crew, Nezha." Wukong smirked. "They make the whole 'I can take care of myself' spiel very hard to keep up; trust me, I should know."

Nezha grumbled to himself as he laid back down, and Wukong pretended not to hear. The mighty lotus prince would come around eventually.

I also just realized, my boi just went from being the youngest of 3 siblings (ie being the third lotus prince, younger brother of muzha and Jinzha) presumably the chaotic wild one without as much responsibility and probably lil brother figure to Wukong later on-

to being a full blown guardian of a map to one of the most destructive weapons and (in my headcanon) babysitter to red son

Like big switchup man and I do think of lmk nezha specifically as an adult (mentally and physically) like jeez sometimes I think he kinda (subconsciously, he would never admit it aloud) misses being taken care off.

Ngl (excuse my mini rant here) I feel the same way about wukong. Like mans went from probably (I believe) one of the younger members of the brotherhood or at least one of the most immature to being the "older brother" to the pilgrims. They all call him elder brother I think (if I'm wrong pls correct me) and I think the turning point to kinda take on responsibility was the journey yes but also, the aftermath of the burning of flower fruit mountain.

I'm not saying he didn't care about them before, no I'm sure he absolutely did and part of his reasons for becoming stronger for protection is genuine. But I think the moment that hit the hardest as a consequence to his actions is the dwindling numbers of his subjects upon his return and it really settled in his job as their king

but yea...rlly puts things into speculation huh?

Monkies Deserve Better References pt 1

This is a bit of a long one so to save people who follow me for my other series I'm going to put it behind a 'read more' line. Both for that reason and because I couldn't be bothered drawing clothes so the references are naked (not like anything graphic though, they're basically shaped like barbies, don't worry)!

The reference I used I found on pinterest but was made by Toresoza on Twitter for those who want a better high quality version with all the hand shapes will have to find it on Twitter, but for now have this low quality Pinterest one to start out.

Now! Onto the proper references! Keep in mind this is how the characters look from anything before Macaque's Not Alright! There might be some missing scars that the characters should have in canon that they don't have here (namely MK because it was 4 am and I forgot) so they might change slightly but for now here we go!

Let's start with Wukong! First with his glamours up and then with them down! (Peach included because I couldn't get the little shit's hand to work with me so I fed him).

The scar on his brow and cheek would very likely be canon as well as the one on his upper left arm and right elbow which would have all happened during the fight with Nezha.

Included on his face are also the headband scars, burns around his eyes which are red after the Demon Hospital fiasco. Also from the demon hospital fiasco are most of the dark patches on his body (realizing now I missed another burn spot on his inner right forearm that's older than the rest but that's fine). When he was tossed in the forget his fur was magically burned whever it was touching the table which is why he has lines on his tail, wrists and ankles (noticed another mistake on his tail but AGAIN IT WAS LATE LET ME LIVE /lh /j). I'll fix it later but I'm too tired to bother now.

The injuries on his chest and stomach are a mix of the Demon Hospital stuff and MK's Not Alright injuries while the white on his back, shoulders, sides and hips are all from LBD :3

Other details about MDB/MAA Wukong as well as all of the monkeys is that his fur and hair are slightly different shades that are barley noticeable (I'm even questioning if I did it for him but I'm going to hope I did x'D). Wukong is also covered in freckles which he doesn't bother glamouring due to how much energy it would take.

Wukong also shares a bit of a 'dad bod' with Canon Wukong (I'm still learning how to draw weight, so ignore that he looks pregnant he's just supposed to be a little squishy). He is also the tallest of the three monkeys I have done, standing at a super tall /s 5'6" (167 cm/66 in (according to Google)).

Next is Macaque who until I actually did this I thought had the most scars. Nope. His scars are the biggest but he probably has the least amount of scars x'D

Macaque's canon injuries on his chest and eye are visible when he's not glamoured but not nearly as obvious as his newer scars.

On his back is a whip scar that he got from Havoc and Confusion - the timeline on this is messed up and will be edited sooner or later -but it happened when he was quite young and doesn't bother him nearly as much as some of the other scars.

The scar on his right thigh, palms of his hand, horizontally across his chest and through his stomach all came from the Seven-Star Sword.

The three scars across his chest are from Wukong's Not Alright when he was cut down by the giant cat monster. This is also when the edges of his fur started to grow in white when they grew back (he should have a couple of other white patches on his body from smaller injuries but they don't have set spots other than *maybe* in his inner elbows, but again, it's not set).

Then, the final and newest scars are on his hips which he gained during the most recent run in with Confusion.

The white on his fur and in his hair is his 'natural' color from before he was killed the first time (not when Wukong killed him) while the blue is from LBD. The blue will likely never turn fully white but might lighten over time to be a more gray color than blue, but that will take a long time and unless Macis willing to shave himself completely most of his fur will always remain black

Other details about Macaque are his six ears in his unglamoured form which are red, blue and teal based on the colors from the 2009 Monkey King series which also inspired a lot of Macaque's background and life story.

Macaque is the smallest of the three monkeys and stands at 5'3" (160 cm /63.6 In).

Finally, there's MK and oh boy. I didn't realize how much of a break this kid needed after all of this but considering how his scars look I'm about to send him on vacation. A paid vacation with therapy included because holy shit.

After I finished making MK I realized I forgot to look for any canon scars that he would have, but considering most of them would be covered by fur I'm also not in a rush to go through and look through them.

His oldest scar is on his forehead mostly hidden by his hair which is the scar mentioned in the third chapter in the series. From there the scars get bigger and more dramatic the longer it goes on, so let's go through the list.

The scars on his right shoulder is from the snakes that infest the Earth Turtle! Also from his adventure on the Earth Turtle are his top surgery scars which he doesn't glamour (he spends too much time/energy glamouring everything else and he's proud of them, so why bother).

He has a matching wound to Macaque on his lower left stomach (which might be in the wrong spot but again i'm tired) came from Monkies Aren't Alright when Chang Liu stabs him with an immortal killing weapon to have access to what 'makes him tick'.

Then in MK's Not Alright he got attacked by another non-venomous snake that bit his left shin and left deep scarring there as well but oddly enough that was the only scar he gained from that one.

In Wukong's Not Alright he gained two scars, the one through his right shin and the wound to his left shoulder blade.

The rest of the scars - the one on his face, most of the ones on his cheek, chest, back, legs, and tail all came from Macaque's not alright with some other minor scars that I forgot about x'D. They are a mixture of whip wounds, slash wounds and burns all came from Havoc, Ginger and Confusion trying to control him.

Other details include slight discoloration on his fingers from the same torture he went through to get the majority of his scars. Part of his bangs are discolored to be white and he's covered in countless white freckles giving him a very 'starry' appearance to him. (which in a way makes his fur look like space with the scars being shooting stars and planets).

MK is the 'middle' monkey and stands at 5'5" (165cm/65in , only an inch shorter than Wukong.

That's all that I have done right now but I'm hoping to make Loi, Red, Mei, and Nezha at some point as well as Tu, Yuanhou, Mihou, Changpu, Pengu and a super secret fifth option too ;3

That being said, if there are any characters you want me to try to make a reference for, just let me know. These were just some of the ones most requested by my discord and friends so I thought I'd do them first. Once I have the others done though, I'll post them.

Another impromptu post but I do think it’s worth addressing here as well.

These kinds of comments, and particularly those demanding others to read Journey to the West, are very common in this discourse. However there is a massive glaring issue if your only basis of understanding Nezha is solely from Journey to the West.

Wu Cheng’en had, intentionally or not, severely diminished the strength of Nezha and seems to lack any real understanding of Nezha to begin with. I must also say Nezha’s age is never explicitly mentioned once in the book aside from when Sun Wukong was mocking him in their first encounter if you choose to see that as confirmation. It’s additionally strange to posture the book, written very late in the scope of how long Nezha has existed, as the only Acceptable Canon. There are other problems with this narrative that must be addressed too.

Nezha, and by extension the whole of the Daoist pantheon, does not and has never existed within a vacuum. Deities and religious figures are not static but instead fluid, subject to many changes through history, and it is unreasonable to expect any deity to adhere closely to a singular interpretation of them. Such as choosing Nezha in Journey to the West as the only acceptable form.

In doing so you are actively ignoring centuries of literature and art history in the thousands of years these deities have existed and have been worshipped in favor of pushing your own misinformed narrative.

Can you imagine if someone was going around demanding that how the Greco-Roman gods appear in Homer’s “Iliad” was the only true acceptable canon of them? It sounds silly doesn’t it. So why is it acceptable to push this mentality onto Chinese deities?

It’s extremely tiring to witness so many people treat deities as if they are common fiction characters, and I hope I do not need to make another longer form post addressing this mentality in the near future.

He would be upset if you were tired because of him. He will slow on lookout when he heard you call him when he turned. He saw that you were still sleeping which confused him. Until he heard You say my husband can kick your ass he's crazy i'm not scared of you. Doesn't take a genius to figure out that you're talking about him. And in the morning He held you tightly just so he can hide very bright red blush on his face.

(Nezha Reborn wukong) The second he heard the word husband It was over. He usually watches you sleep because you tell him that you would sometimes have a nightmares. And he was very worried at the time. So he was on standby But thanks to your blissful comment. He spent a whole night day dreaming about your married lives together. Oh He has to do now was figured out you ring size

(HIB Wukong) He too was asleep when it happened this time. He actually heard you cause it was talking louder than usual. He knows you're talking your sleep sometimes. But he never really took it seriously and so he finally heard what you said. It seemed like you were scared you were telling someone to leave him No you were telling someone to leave your husband alone. Is that what you're saying you think of it as a spouse a good husband. He's not sure what to do with this information. So he doesn't bring it up until maybe in the morning.

(Netflix Wukong) Husband?!?! he felt he was lucky enough to be a boyfriend!!!! This just tells him that you totally wanna spend your life with him. His insecurities had caused him to doubt. So usually I HATE the trope of the hero insisting that there's no other way to save the day except to sacrifice themselves and pushing away their friends' efforts to save them... but here I'm kind of on MK's side with this one. They didn't exactly have a lot of time to figure out another way to stop the world from literally breaking apart.

That whole MK and Wukong fight put me in mind of Clint and Natasha from Avengers End Game trying to stop each other from killing themselves, which unfortunately means it was a little comical on top of being emotional.

But let's talk about how Wukong loves MK so much that even though he's so scared of death, to the point of making himself immortal, he still decided to take his place instead.😭

OMG WHAAAT MK ACTIVATED THE PAIN CIRCLET!?

Man... Wukong's guttural screams... cartoons rarely let characters show this much raw primal emotion, probably so as not to upset kids too much, so whenever you do see it you know things have gotten serious.

The fact that Macaque said Wukong's name instead of MK's tells me that he KNEW he would sacrifice himself in MK's place😭

Speaking of raw emotion, man... MK choking up with relief that his friends would be okay was just heart breaking.

So, not that I would've WANTED the "cycle" to renew itself or whatever, but... and this is most definitely just the religious side of me speaking here, I don't know that anyone else will agree with me... but I'm getting a little tired of shows letting the main characters decide the fate of the world based on what THEY want. Like, messages about standing up for your freedom, that's all well and good when it's in terms of rebelling against corruption and oppression, things that humans do to each other. But defying the very way your world is made, messing with the natural order of things because you personally don't like it... that's just arrogant and selfish. People in reality already think they can push the boundary of life and nature however they like; if some things weren't literally impossible, like coming back from the dead, humans would definitely do everything and anything they wanted and excuse themselves on the basis of wanting absolute freedom. That's why there ARE limits, and personally, I'm not a fan of seeing them being challenged as a good thing so often in almost every modern story ever. Wanting things your own way no matter what rules you break is a villain mindset (pretty much what the Serpentine guy's motivation was). I can kind of excuse MK here for the fact that the cycle wasn't supposed to start this early and what he's doing is just putting things back on the right track... whatever, guess I just wanted to get that off my chest, rant over.

Back to fluffy wholesome moments - Wukong crying and saying "I got you" to MK after catching him!!😭😭😭

Got a question, sorry if it sounds stupid, does Wukong have his stone egg cooking?

Bc I imagine if he did MK would have a habit of blocking people(who Wukong confirms are in bad terms) from going near Wukong and the egg.

I do love this idea, cus it gives an extra reasoning for Wukong needing to stay out of the limelight + having extra help in training his recently-empowered cub.

I imagine its a situation where the Stalwarts have basically told Wukong; "No, your egg isn't going to steal the weird clay-baby's dao. We'll be here to help you raise him." and Wukong agreed to their help.

Luckily it turns out to be ok. Although Wukong is super tired a lot of the time (Egg and hyperactive cub does that), MK is thankfully a healthy little monkey.

MK is aware that he has a little sister who's "like uncle Nezha and is taking her time being born", and gets very protective of Wukong if someone comes a little too close to touching his mama/baba's stomach.

MK: (*hissing and spitting like a feral cat!*) Tang, who was just reaching over for some soy sauce: "Um... ok. Guess I've had enough salt for the day??" Wukong, still in the undercover stage: "Sorry, he's protective of me because he's going to be a big brother." Tang: "Omg, I didn't know! How sweet! How far along are you?" Wukong: "In the final-stretch hopefully!" Wukong, thinking: "It's only been over a couple hundred years..."

Note: this protectiveness extends to Macaque as well, someone MK wants to be friendly with his parent.

Which means that when Wukong and Macaque are starting to repair things and getting affectionate again, MK is glaring at his step-baba from across the room.

MK: "Keep those hands above the waist Mister!" Macaque, chuckling as Wukong blushes: "You heard the boss!"

“I’m telling you, Strawberries are better!”

Normally, hearing Nezha speak was like a blessing to mk-

-But right now, he just wished his boyfriend would calm down. He loved it when Nezha got passionate, but-

“Strawberries aren’t even naturally sweet! They have to be sweetened to get that flavor! It’s artificial! Blackberries are all natural!”

-but this was just ridiculous!

Mei smacked her head against the tabletop, and Mk couldn’t even blame her. Jing and Nezha had been going at this for a while, and they were all getting tired of it. It was cute at first, but it had gotten to the point where it was all they talked about!

It was to the point where the guards of the celestial realm didn’t even look up at their voices rising! They were smack dab in the middle of the pavilion!

“At least Strawberries have a flavor! Blackberries just taste like sour nothing!”

Mk looked over to azure, who looked just as done as he did.m, and they nodded. It was time to-

“Both of you enough!”

A scratchy voice cut through their argument, and what seemed to be a random advisor stomped up to them.

“This is extremely unbecoming of the future emperor and his father!”

Nezha and Jing both frowned, and turned their attention fully to the advisor, clearly irritated.

“Advisor Jiangshi, the only unprofessional behavior here is yours. We are nearly having a debate-“

“Your arguing is what you’re doing-!”

“Advisor Jiangshi you are quite out of line—!”

“Silence!” The advisor waved his hand, whixh lit up in an all too familiar symbol. One that made MK’s stomachs turn as he realized what was happening—

The circlet around Nezha’s neck lit up. As did the cuffs on Jing’s arms.

Both men nearly collapsed in an instant, howling in agony. Well, Jing was. Nezha’s cry was cut off as his airway was blocked. Everyone else immediantly sprung into action, Macaque and Wukong taking down the advisor in an instant, dissipating the horrid symbol. Azure was able to grab Jing before he hit the ground, as did Mk and Mei with Nezha.

Mk felt himself shake with the force of Nezha’s harsh coughing and gasping, as the Prince tries to deseperayly take in as much air as possible. He tried to blink away tears in his eyes, but poor Nezha couldn’t catch his breath long enough to do so.

Mk simply lowered Nezha to the ground (with Mei’s help), and wrapped his arms around him. The lotus boy just buried his face in Mks shoulder, as if trying to hide himself away from the pain. It broke mk’s heart.

A sniffle caught his attention. At first he thought it was Nezha, but when it repeated Mk realized it was coming from…

Mk looked up quickly, and saw Jing curled away from Azure, from everyone. He was holding his wrists tightly to his chest, and his head was bowed in a way that his hair obscure his face. But from what little mk could see, it was clear Jing was crying.

That little bit of information concerned Mk greatly. Nezha, whose breathing was slowly calming, wasn’t crying. Even Wukong hadn’t cried. They’d been in pain yea, but it wasn’t a crying type of pain. To see Jing in such a states.

“Who the hell are you to do that?!” Roared macaque, and MK’s head snapped to the downed advisor, who looked terrified. Guards had come over as well, and were currently in the process of restraining him.

“I was meatly correcting their behavior-“

“Who gave you that right?!”

“The Jade emperor—!”

“The Jade emperor is dead. And you have just attacked your leaders.” Growled one of the guards, hauling him up. “You’re coming with us.”

It was quiet for a moment, the other guards and people clearing out the pavilion to give the group a moment. Something Mk was greateful for. Nezha pulled back, taking in a deep, calming breath.

“Are you ok?” Mk tenderly ran a hand down Nezha’s neck, and the other nodded with a shiver.

“Yes, I am. It was just that, while I don’t need to breathe, it’s still very jarring.” Nezha took another steady breath, and looked over at Jing.

The progoda king hadn’t moved at all. You’d have thought the was a statue if it wasn’t for the shudders that would wrack his body every now and again. Azure sat next to him, looking deeply concerned, as did Macaque and Wukong.

“He won’t let anyone touch him,” Macawue admitted, nervously chewing on his scarf. “not even Azure.”

“Father?” Nezha removed himself from MK’s hold, shakily getting to his feet. He tried to call out again. “Father? Are you alright?”

Nothing.

Then, Jing inhaled a sharp breath, shaking as he held it in. He seemed to be holding back, and Mk didn’t know why… until he saw the red that was slowly staining his sleeves. Nezha seemed to have clocked this as well, as he immediantly moves to be next to him.

“Father- dad, your bleeding-“

The other flinched the moment Nezha tried to to bus him, and Nezha reeled back as if he’d been burned. After a moment, Nezha looked to azure, and asked. “Would you take him to Lao Tzu?”

Azure nodded, and the others stood up as well. “It would be best if you all go on ahead. Give him a moment.”

Mk nodded, and he halled Nezha stumble away for some tea, everyone but azure and jjjg following. Mk tried to tell himself that it was fine. That Jing just needed a moment to to pull himself together. Azure would calm him down and get him patched up.

But even as they round the corner, getting further and further away, Mk could still hear the gut-wrenching sobs that Jing lets out, as well as the quiet reassurances that Azure was trying to give.

I imagine her in this long black cloak. She really isn't that tall with a hunched back. Very "witch like" and such. So injured from her battle with Sun Wukong that she walks very slowly. Don't let that fool you though, she is still someone you shouldn't mess 0.0

Her hands are pitch black. Like a horrible horrible frost bite
