I lied, put your clothes back on
I'm going to explain to you why Altan, Qara and Chaghan are the characters that were telling us in advance about the end of the trilogy and the trifecta formed by Nezha, Rin and Kitay but we didn't pay enough attention to them
Altan, Chaghan and Qara are the" failed" trifecta
Altan's sacrifice breaks the cycle, paving the way for Rin, Kitay, and Nezha to become the next generation of the trifecta
Each reflects the mistakes of the past: Rin as Altan and Riga, Kitay as Qara and Jiang, and Nezha as Chaghan and Daji, all trapped in the same vicious cycle
In the end, Rin understands that, like Altan, her destiny is to sacrifice herself to break the cycle. Her death, along with Kitay's, leaves Nezha alive and ruling, mirroring Chaghan's fate
In the dynamic of Rin, Kitay and Nezha, it is clear that they represent an echo of Altan, Chaghan and Qara's failed attempt. Rin takes Altan's place as the center of destruction and strength, Kitay represents strategic and emotional stability as Qara did, while Nezha, being the only one left in the end, is a distorted version of Chaghan, the survivor who carries the weight of the world
Rin understands, at the end of the trilogy, the meaning of Altan's sacrifice: not only was it necessary to break the cycle to create something new, but his sacrifice was also an act of love towards her, giving her the opportunity to build a future that he never had. Rin's sacrifice reflects that understanding, breaking the cycle of hatred and revenge that Riga perpetuated in his generation
(I hope you understand, English is not my native language)
I should be drawing I Know...

Can you imagine the monkey King's wife being exactly like chi chi from dragon ball 😂.
A monkey version of her
They are very scared of her, and she's the only person the monkey King is intimidated by.
I blame the Lego monkie kid voice actor 😅
OH MY GOD!!! THAT IS BOTH AMAZING AND TERRIFYING I LOVE IT!!!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩
That's the weapon you have Below👇👇👇
(Lmk Wukong) Ohhhhhhhhhh he pisses you off every second of everything day, and it's scares him hell even Macaque is scared of you. It's bad enough that he tends to be irresponsible and Take everything even more difficult with his poor communication skills. Then if it were to cause problems for poor Mk, then that's where you draw the line, and with every life threatening event that is centered around your husband and son. Well both Mk and Wukong Would be actively running from you by the end of it🤣
(MKR Wukong) Man he would take the monk's anger over your anger any time That's how scared he is of you. You know his sh*tty attitude and personality and his habit of having bouts of violence but you. Oh no he would do whatever it takes to stay away from that territory of upsetting you, but if it happens anyway he would get his act together immediately. The pilgrims always gets baffled by his submission and Fruity would say that mama is scary.
(HIB Wukong) Well now at least he knows the Do's and don't's parts of your marriage, considering the results and Consequences. But unfortunately he has to come back home to you after 500 years and he'll have to make up an explanation for his absence. Even worse when you told him time and time again not to go and attack heaven On the count of that is not the best idea to handle the war. Wukong had stupidly disregarded your words and now he has to come home to you, he was right to be worried because you tore him a new one because he Deliberately Disregarded your objections as your environment shook and crack from your yells. the only reason you stop was because he came home with a little boy and baby girl.
(NR Wukong) Li and Su had dumbfounded looks on both of their faces. In the living room was Wukong cowering behind the couch as a female monkey also with a metal mask was screaming profanities at him. The was the day they met you Y/n L/N Wukong his wife, but boi were you quite Intimidating to them. Thankfully they quickly learn how sweet and kind you actually are and the two even fell in love with your godly cooking. You quickly explained that Wukong had fail to tell you that Nezha was recarnated as you stuff Li with food because That's where you always did 3000 years ago.
(Netflix Wukong) Man you used were so little, quiet and cute🥰 when you a cub now your tall, loud, and scary😨 and married to him. You are the more responsible and grounded of the marriage but his reckless behavior makes you both worried and angry. You usually wack him with stick because of his condescending attitude and he should know not to talk to you like that. Then the last straw was when he got to his head in his kaiju form and Lin had to get you and well.....you can imagine how shocking it is to see a giant male monkey to wimper as a tiny female monkey yells at him.🤭🤭🤭
(BMW Wukong) GOLLY!!! you were always the wrong one to mess with 😰. For him pissing off heaven will always be less terrifying than pissing you off😬. Especially when your as powerful as he is, and would have that large club bat you dubbed as Excaliborg That you would occasionally beat his ass with. Unlike Erlang whom he's more then happy to taunt and mess with he knows better then to do the same to you unless he wants to be an must be classified smeer on the ground😬🥶.
(Destined one) He wouldn't get on your nerves in the slightest, mainly because that's a terrible idea but he's a sweet mildly Obedient man to you. You get worried about him alot because he's so selectively mute, so you made sure to engage him in conversations. The one thing you do love is how much he loves your cooking 🍳 and you are more then happy to make large batches for him to eat. He's a good Quiet husband to you and that's good enough for you.
FEEL FREE TO REBLOG😈🍳

Relationship: Nezha Reborn!Sun Wukong X Female!Reader
AN: Was hit with the desire to write a little something for Nezha Reborn after finally getting a chance to watch it. The beginning does use some dialog directly from the movie, but it does diverge from canon.
When I mention reader shifting to a smaller form btw, I was picturing a shape similar to Chen Loong from Black Myth, a bipedal dragon form to walk around in.
Tags: Hurt/Comfort, Fluff, Imprisonment, Reunions, Kissing, Not Canon Compliant, Female!Reader, Loong Dragon!Reader, Reader's dragon design is based off a lotus flower idea from another Wukong story I have in the works but you can imagine anything really
Summary: “Why would you hide yourself from him? Aren’t you on good terms?” Sun Wukong snorts behind his mask.
“We were. Then he stole something precious from me. I couldn’t risk stealing it back in case-…” He pauses in his steps. A growl leaves his throat, and Li realized he shared more in common with this living legend than he thought possible. The repressed fury he could feel emanating from the Monkey King was something he knew all too well.
Read it on AO3!
“The Dragon King thinks I’m hiding from my enemies…” Six Eared Mac-no…The Monkey King laughs as he drags Li closer to the wide pit in the center of the room, the carcass of Ao Bing sliding across the floor behind them. “But I’m just tired, don’t even remember where my golden cudgel is. The Dragon King doesn’t even know who I am, really.” Li Yunxiang looks at his mentor with confusion, letting himself be dragged around.
“Why would you hide yourself from him? Aren’t you on good terms?” Sun Wukong snorts behind his mask.
“We were. Then he stole something precious from me. I couldn’t risk stealing it back in case-…” He pauses in his steps. A growl leaves his throat, and Li realized he shared more in common with this living legend than he thought possible. The repressed fury he could feel emanating from the Monkey King was something he knew all too well.
His mentor shakes his head before straightening.
“He knows better than to speak to the Monkey King after that, so I became Six Eared Macaque instead. At least then I could keep an eye on things.” Sun Wukong supports Li’s limping form as they come to a stop above the gaping hole in the ground. Li holds his throbbing stomach as he leans closer to see over the edge.
“Li Yunxiang, the red ribbon was your Astra. The Sky Ribbon.” With no effort his mentor throws the dragon corpse down the hole, and Li feels the breath get knocked out of him as his feet are suddenly lifted off the ground. He panics as the ledge gets further away, distantly aware that his mentor just picked him up and threw him. Before he can scream, the firm grip of Sun Wukong is on the back of his armor. He feels very much like a helpless kitten being held by the scruff of its neck over the hole stretching endlessly far below his dangling feet.
“This hole leads to the East Sea. Under a waterfall at the bottom is the palace of the Dragon King of the East. He keeps river dragons trapped there, harnessing their power for his Dragon Pearl. The thing is, river dragons need fresh water to live.”
The missing puzzle pieces slot into place in Li’s mind.
“So he stole Donghai’s water.”
“Exactly.” With a forceful jerk, Li hits the ground, his mentor staring down at his kneeling form. “The Sky Ribbon is tethering those dragons into servitude.” Li feels remnants of his rage come back to him, his temper wanting to flare despite how exhausted he feels. His whole life, his family and friends and neighbors…All suffering from drought their whole lives so a dragon god can have even more power over the mortal world.
“It’s too bad, Li Yunxiang.” Sun Wukong ‘tsk’s where he stands above Li. “You can’t do anything about it. You are not Nezha.” His mask is suddenly much closer to Li, his words cutting like a knife. Li can’t stop staring at the hole before him.
“I’m not?” His voice is a whisper.
“Kid only appears when you’re murderous. But when you want to help others? Poof, nowhere to be seen.”
“But hey,” Sun Wukong leans away from his personal space, walking away like he doesn’t have a care in the world. Like he doesn’t share the same rage Li holds in his heart, the fury he saw a glimpse of just moments ago. “If you were crazy enough to try and do something, knowing you’re not Nezha, keep an eye out for a river dragon with a connection to lotus flowers for me, yeah? Tell ‘em I said ‘hi’.”
And with those parting words, Li Yunxiang is left in the golden hall of the Dragon King.
~~~~~~~
It’s cramped.
You need space. You need room. You need freedom.
Your kin swirl around and around in circles with you, constantly moving, don’t sit still, if you sit still it’s worse-
It’s cramped.
You don’t remember how long you’ve been trapped here but it’s agonizing.
You used to be so much bigger. You were ‘yourself’ once, a river all your own. Your foggy memories are filled with visions of a gleaming waterfall, parting like a curtain to reveal paradise in a cave. Flowers of all kinds found nowhere else in the realms, immortal fruit trees and monkeys, a stone palace you shared with…with someone…
It was home.
And then the years pass and you see new rivers, new places. They weren’t the same but they still felt like home because of him…
You want to go back!
You would give anything to be free of here, to escape this maddening claustrophobic bowl, to stop churning water with your kin. After so many years, you fear it won’t ever happen. It’s been so long…
A rumbling shakes your prison, and you hear your kin screech in joy.
A crack.
A crack just along the rim of your cell, you watch as two of your kin slip through and burst towards the heavens, roaring their fury and anguish at having been trapped for so long. You can feel the others around you pulling their own power, screeching and roaring to follow, but the crack is forced shut. You throw your body against it desperately when you pass by, before being swept into a new lap by the other dragons surrounding you. Each one pounds their talons against the crack, throwing their whole body weight into the motion, desperate for that chance at freedom.
It works, you can see the crack opening again, another outside force trying to close it, but another rumble of the earth and the tower holding your cell topples, unleashing you and your kin.
None of you waste time, bullying your way through the salty water of the Eastern Sea towards freedom, uncaring of the damage you wreak.
Fresh air.
Fresh water!
Freedom!
You give a mighty roar to match your kind as you ride the waves towards shore, thrashing in your excitement.
A feeling settles in your gut, something telling you to still yourself, you can’t thrash wildly and let your power loose. There was something…something about the land…your power could harm them all, they were so delicate…
A roar to your right distracts you, and the feeling is buried under your fury and relief.
You don’t care, you want to get revenge on the one who trapped you, you want to fly high into the open air and never look back, you want to see him again-
A sudden tightness wraps around your throat, jerking you back from the shore, from where you need to be, stopping you from getting back to your river. A trail of red and gold fabric loops around your long body, along the serpentine bodies of your kin around you, and pulls.
You choke, roaring in anger at being denied still. You won’t go back! You won’t! The ribbon will have to choke and kill you before you are confined to that horrible prison once more-!
You see your kin get pulled back as well, but they are released in a motion that sends them towards the heavens, clouds and thunder meeting them with open arms. You scream, desperate for them, any one of them, to turn back and help you. You’re pulled further and further down despite your struggling, decades of non-stop swimming in too close quarters with hundreds of other dragons with no breaks or food has left you weak and weary. You cry once more, reaching towards the heavens with aching claws.
You just wanted to see him once more…
“A lotus dragon…” A voice speaks near you. Through your haze you see them below you, two tiny creatures standing on folds and folds of red ribbon. The fog in your mind clears just enough for you to recognize them as human.
Well, one of them is anyways.
Your eyes reveal the truth of one of them, fire and power coursing through mortal veins. You growl low in your throat, tugging uselessly at the red ribbon connecting you to them.
“Wait, please. I-...Sun Wukong asked me to say hello to you, on his behalf.” The name has you freezing in place, all struggle put on hold as you stare with wide eyes at the not-mortal below you.
“W-Wukong…” You rasp. You feel the bonds holding you tight loosen as the clarity returns to your eyes. Sun Wukong…yes. Yes, that was him. You needed to see him again, you needed it-
“Whoa, I understand, I’ll take you! Just, calm down please.” You take a deep breath, realizing you are much closer to the humans than before, your muzzle all but knocking over the not-mortal as you demand to see Sun Wukong. The red ribbon and fire surrounds you on all sides, shooting towards the sky and crashing down on the surface of the water with all the fanfare of a God. You let the ribbon lift your tired form out of the sea with the two humans, only now noticing the infant water beast the female holds in her arms.
Memories return to you, slowly. Moving to Donghai City with Wukong so many years ago, the giant metal tower he picked out right next to a serene and peaceful river flowing through the city. No other river dragon had claimed the water as theirs, so you had made it your own. The two of you lived happily; going on shared picnics to your new river, running through the city to cause mischief or watch live shows and performances, playing for hours on end with Wukong’s monkey subjects. The late nights you would come into his workshop to find him passed out over some new human invention, coaxing him to finally come to bed with kisses and the promise of warm cuddles…
You had built a life together here, after millennia of happiness and love.
That had all been ripped away from you when the Dragon King of the East Sea had summoned you to his court.
“Almost there.” The not-mortal said. You watched ahead, eyes trained on the stone shoreline. A vehicle was parked at the edge of the water, a lone figure leaning casually against the metal shape before standing at the sight of your group. You leaned forward eagerly, your massive head casting a shadow over the creatures on the ribbon below you.
You didn’t dare hope.
There’s no way he would know you were here, right?
The not-mortal huffs in amusement, and the red ribbon lowers to anchor on the stone shore. He offers a hand to his human companion to help her get down, but you don’t need such help. Your massive claws grip the smooth surface of wet stone easily as the waves behind you crash together once more to form the sea.
His smell is the first thing you recognize on the breeze.
You immediately run over to the figure, dressed head to toe in pink with gold jewelry - if you still doubted this was your Wukong, you didn’t anymore after seeing his outfit - and all but tackle him with your large form. The Monkey King squawks, almost losing his footing as you press your muzzle into his stomach, your long body coiling around him. It’s only with his extraordinary strength that he can hold his ground against your nuzzling, his hands gripping your scaled cheeks like a lifeline.
“Fuck, baby, it is you, fuck-” There’s a ‘clunk’ sound as metal hits the stone below your feet, a mask made of steel and wood bouncing as Wukong presses kiss after kiss to your own face. You shudder as you breathe in, tears streaming down your muzzle and mixing with the rain currently pouring from the sky. Your long, sensitive whiskers wrap around and around Wukong’s smaller body, memories of his smell and heat and touch flooding your mind as you relish having him hold you once again. He chitters and chirps as he nuzzles back, his claws digging into your scales like you’ll disappear again if his grip loosens. The not-mortal steps close to you both, confident and self-assured.
“I got my astra back. And your girlfriend.” He steps closer, staring Wukong in the eyes. “I am Nezha.” And with that he turns and walks up the stone steps with his companions.
You glance at him, the red ribbon wrapped tight around his forearm.
Nezha.
Wukong must find the expression on your face funny, because he laughs. Gripping one of your whiskers, his other hand flicks a metal rod with a pair of dangling keys on it towards the other god.
“Make sure to bring it back in one piece. Need it to show my girl a good time.” Wukong snarks, and Nezha snatches the keys out of the air with hardly a glance.
“Got it.” He settles onto the seat of a motorcycle, black leather and studs gleaming in the sunlight, his companions settling behind him on the seat. As they drive away, you wrap yourself further around your monkey.
“That’s your ride?” You mumble into the warm fur of his neck. You feel his cackle as it ripples through his chest. His tail tickles your under arm where it wraps around your bicep.
“Yeah, you like it baby?” His lips press against your forehead, right at the base of one of your antlers. You realize you’ve been purring nonstop since you circled around him.
“It looks amazing, very hot.” You tease, a familiar habit you haven’t been able to participate in for years now. The wave of nostalgia and comfort that washes over you brings a fresh wave of tears to your eyes.
“Gonna take you on so many joyrides, baby. All the time, whenever you want. Just-fuck, just don’t leave me again-” Wukong grips your antlers with both hands, burying his face into the scales of your forehead. You feel the warm, wet fur of his cheeks and realize he’s crying just as much as you are.
“I won’t, I promise-...I’m so sorry my love…” You whimper into his stomach, inhaling the familiar smell of wood, stone, and peaches. The pink fabric of his suit feels soft against your muzzle. You heard him choke on a sob above you.
“No, I’m supposed to be sorry. You were trapped down there and I couldn’t-I didn’t do anything! I couldn’t risk him hurting you but I should have done something, anything-” Your heart breaks at his words. You muster up what little magic your exhausted form has and shift, growing smaller to fit in his arms. You straighten up, standing on your back feet with your tail circling around the waist of your Monkey King to pull him closer to your chest. Your dragon nature is still on full display, but this form is easier to maneuver in when living in a world meant for humans. Now smaller, you bring your claws up to cup Wukong’s fuzzy cheeks, your thumbs wiping away the tears still dripping down to his chin.
You press your lips to his own, finally getting a proper kiss after so long. You don’t care about the rain pouring down on top of you, you don’t care that his lips are salty from his tears and your own, you don’t care. Not when you’re finally back together. When you pull away, Wukong gives a high-pitched chirp of protest, immediately pressing more kisses along the length of your jaw and long, winding neck.
“You got Nezha back. You got him to help, that’s enough-it’s more than enough…” Your voice is breathy and light, the feeling of Wukong’s lips pressing against you feels so good, you rumble with purrs at the feeling.
“Stars above, I almost forgot how beautiful you are. My peach, my flower…so beautiful…” Sun Wukong purrs against your scales, kisses interrupted by praise and compliments you happily try to return.
“Can we-” Another kiss, “go home?” Another kiss against the base of your sensitive whisker, and your whole body shudders in response. “I want to go home with you, my King.”
Your words have an effect on the Monkey King; his fur fluffing up, pupils dilating and contracting rapidly as he swings your legs out from under you. Your weight is nothing to him, and you loop your arms around his shoulders, claws digging into the pink fabric hiding him from you. Within moments you’re both floating on a cloud and away from the rock shore of the Eastern Sea and to your shared home.
“Anything for you, love.” Wukong whispers his promise, followed by another kiss as he carries you away.
Prodigal son terror
Li Jing in a fury grabbed his halberd, leapt on his horse and galloped out of the headquarters. He was astonished to see Nezha with his Wind-Fire Wheels and Fire-Tipped Spear. He swore loudly, "You damned beast! You caused us endless suffering before your death, and now that you've been reborn, you're troubling us again!"
"Li Jing! I've returned my flesh and bones to you, and there's no longer any relation between us. Why did you smash my golden idol with your whip and burn down my temple? Today I must take my revenge!"
since I'm on a Nezha streak, might as well do my design for him on the Expedition AU! given that i've chosen to give characters a closer likeness to their region, it's only fitting i do the same with import deities like Guanyin, Subodhi and Nezha.
he's a complicated figure to place in the timeline because he gained popularity as a deity much after, only really arriving in China by the time the Journey would have been set. FSYY was written closer to when JTTW was written down, and he was retroactively inserted on the Zhou Dynasty period.
so deciding what to even do with him is dicey. but then i said fuck it, mythological rules apply here, he was around for the events of FSYY, and it and JTTW are set in the same universe. and for the sake of having some fun, i decided to get funky with his concept.
Nezha had the likeness of his family when he was alive, as described in FSYY, but once he was reborn with a lotus body he gained Indian traits instead. this is to be a nod to his status as an import deity and his origin as Nalakubara, and as the centuries roll by he may present himself to mortals closer to the locals' appearance wise.
as for his looks, i drew inspiration from multiple sources. read more for my rambles <3
his armor is closer to reconstructions of Zhou dynasty-period armor, skipping over extra parts simply because his lotus body is so indestructible, there's no need for a full set;
there are two red Chinese knots with jade beads dangling from the armor ties. they are said to ward off evil spirits, which felt like a good fit for a guy known to banish demons. i picked a six-petal flower pattern, which represents reunion, unity and a bright future;
i included lotus petals and leaves on his outfit as they are common in Beijing Opera outfits for him, and his makeup is a call to it as well;
The pink from the cheeks and eyeshadow seeps into his ear shell, as to convey the way sometimes, you get so angry even your ears blush;
Another thing i referenced from Opera is the two red ribbons on his sidelocks, though I changed them to two bulbs of lotus roots;
Four petals drawn close to his urna as both to make it look like a lotus but also form five petals, which is an auspicious number;
His hair crown is a fancy princely [knot] with a lotus motif and a pearl in the center, as he was the Pearl Spirit before becoming Nezha;
I was going to go with elf-like ears but I thought I could do better, so I went for stretched earlobes instead. you can't see it that well but hopefully the very large golden earrings imply it well enough xvx;
His cheek dimples are common sight on religious images of him and it was a cute touch imo;
Younger Nezha wears a golden robe because of his title as General of the Central Altar in Daoist belief, and the center direction is connected to yellow or gold, and yellow robes are usually meant for emperors and their sons, which is a minor nod to his self-assureness and boldness;
The Cosmic Ring has spiralling grooves on it both to catch blades on it for defense but also as a callback to Opera props;
On his waist is the embroidered ball weapon he was attributed with in earlier myths, he was also meant to have the leopard skin bag Taiyi Zhenren gave him, bjt it was going to be obscured by the text so i omitted it;
A few depictions of him gave him a halo of fire, which was real cool so i added it as well.
Question for the actor au :
Do Jing and Nezha have better relationship like in Nezha 19? Since that seems to be where the canon show is headed?
Answering this question took way longer than we expected, and we are sorry about that, work, school and sentimental stuff got in our way, but now it is easier to handle it, so here we go!
Ok so, before we start, we have a confession to make, we didn't see the Nezha 19 movie until now, so what did we do? INVESTIGATED! Also, just for the record, the Nezha-Jing relationship wouldn't be seen until later in the AU (More or less at the end of Act 4 and the start of Act 5, and even then, the AU is Shadowpeach-centered, just so you are aware)
With respect to the relationship/dynamic that they are going to have this time...
The Yin family is pretty related to the scenic arts, to the point that Jing's father (and Nezha's grandpa) is the person that acts as the Jade emperor.
Jing and his wife decide to put Nezha in acting and singing classes since he was a toddler, and once he got older, he decides on his own to study and work as an actor, just like his father, why? Well... For admiration, the one that he felt every time that he saw him acting, the dedication and passion on every role, putting his soul and heart on each of them.
When Nezha was younger, Jing used to help him with his acting classes, showing and advising him to become better and better, and with that, spending a lot of lovely moments between those two, and if you are asking, "Why does Jing have a mustache?" We have two answers for you:
On the canon:
Jing got a role that force him to let the mustache grow, and so, albums of that time are equally embarrassing for Nezha and Jing.
Outside the canon:
'CAUSE HE DESERVES IT! AHHHHHH-... ejem, a little of revenge never killed somebody
And in our AU Jing here is a... Decent father; he tries, and loves Nezha a lot, and the same goes the other way around; just the two of them aren't very good at the expressing part, but under that grumpy face is a father that is very proud of his child.
Curious fact: In the public eye, he seems like a "bad father", again, for his grumpy face and quite cold attitude, and, in part, that's why they were reached out and cast in those roles.
I do atcually! These aren't all of them because I can't really REMEMBER all of the fics I read but I can give you some of my bookmarks!
(Dont know what fandom your looking for so these might not help.)
What's A... Birth-Day? By catnoodles
Basically all of the monkie gang get together and throw Wukong a birthday! It's really cute, it's got Pigsy and Wukong bonding, some funny Sunburst Duo moments, Wukong being shy. It's a really cute ship and if your a Wukong kinny like me you'll love it!
Imposter Syndrome By imbeccable
A Dadsy fic! Basically Pigsy denies being Mk dad then Mk denies being Pigsys son and he gets sad :(
First Date Blues By StarRoseColors
Macaque gets REALLY pissy Wukong has a date. He wants to get back with Wukong but he's going on a date and didn't tell Macaque. Sad hours for Macaque.
Charmed By Crieeter
This is a lackadaisy fic! It's a Hellerby (Rocky x Mordecai). It's a BEAUTIFULLY written fic and I hope the last chapter is uploaded soon. If down bad Mordecai is your jam then you'll LOVE this fic.
Moving on By Zetra_Artz
Another ShadowPeach fic. Wukong downloades Tinder to try and move on but Mk, Redson, Mei, and Macaque come up with the idea that Macaque makes a fake account to woo Wukong. This one is one of my favorites because it's got all my favorites! Uncle Wukong, Macaque slander, Nezha and DBK being brothers with Wukong, and Wukong! There is a bit of smut so be weary. It's not finished yet but it's REALLY good.
Fractured Peices make a Mossiac By @furornocturna
I LOVE THIS FIC SO MUCH GUYS. I call it a bully fic but there's WAY more to it then that. It's another ShadowPeach fic. It gets DARK tho so make sure to read the tags.
Juicy Confessions By @furornocturna
I'm just saying I GAVE her the idea for this fic. Nah I'm kidding, but I was one of the people that got to beta read this fic and make suggestions. It's a Cookie Run fic about Wizard Cookie x Gingerbrave. Gingerbrave gets absolutely SMASHED and makes it Wizards problem. I litteraly have sketches for fanart of this fic cause it's litteraly a fic FOR ME. I didn't have my gifts on but I do NOW. I love this fic guys so much.
Operation Apologize By @dortiii
THIS FIC IS MINE. No really it was a gift for me. I made a gift for Dortii, so she made a gift for me, so now I've started a fic war. Count your day Dortii.
This fic is Sandy centered and I LOVE THAT. I love Sandy so much. Fun fact, Hunstman is my favorite lmk character. Silktea is my favorite ship. So since I made Dorti a Freenoodles fic, she made me a Silktea fic. It's about how Sandy is suffering because he can't find Hunstman. (He doesn't know he's dead). And how he's isolating himself. It's a good foc and only needs one more chapter. I'm so EXCITED.
I have more but this is getting LONG. Read all of these fics (especially the fics of my friends). I think you'll like them :D
LMK and the Problem of Li Jing
If my browsing in the Nezha tag is any indication, I'm not the only one who has...opinions about the interesting writing choice in S5.
Namely, it's awkward, completely out of left field, and forced.
I am also gonna try and calmly dissect my feelings on the matter, so that it doesn't become a "me sassing Li Jing for ten pages straight" post.
See, my biggest problem isn't "Li Jing is a good/sympathetic dad instead of his more mythos-accurate portrayal".
There are adaptations that make him a good father (Nezha 2019), or at the very least, a flawed but still sympathetic figure (Legends of Nezha cartoon).
And even though FSYY and JTTW's Nezha both have their Attempted Patricide Arc as part of their backstory, when JTTW's Nezha showed up in the novel proper, he was overall more obedient towards Li Jing, so it's not completely without basis (tho crucially, JTTW's Li Jing is also terrified of him picking up the "Patricide" hobby again).
The key, however, is Show Not Tell.
See, the adaptations above are all Nezha-centered works that have plenty of screentime to show where they diverge from the original mythos, and build their takes on the father-son relationship off that new foundation.
LMK, however, doesn't have that. We don't know if either version of the Patricide Arc is true for the show, or even given Nezha's particular backstory for this setting.
We don't know if we should just assume that Nezha's backstory in either JTTW or FSYY went down the same way, or given clues as to where it differs.
All we have are the on-screen interactions, and these consist mostly of Li Jing being his typical Lawful Stupid self.
Sure, there are weak attempts at making him more sympathetic: we are told, through Nezha, that he had been "working sooooo hard" to keep everything running after taking over as basically regent of the Celestial Realm, but again, we aren't shown that properly.
All I see is this guy who...I dunno, went out to get Starbucks or something when JE was kill, then showed up after everything was over to play the loyal minister and prosecute SWK and the gang for bullshit reasons.
(Which is coincidentally very accurate to his overall role in FSYY. Except FSYY's Li Jing was anything but the most sympathetic father figure.)
And because we are given no context for their relationship, their confrontation and reconcillation also feel rushed, falling completely flat when it comes to emotional impact.
Like, if we are to assume their backstory are mythos-accurate, then the whole thing makes no sense——neither "returning your flesh and blood" or attempted patricide can be shrugged off that easily.
If we are to assume it differ from the mythos...HOW and WHERE? Does the birth from a flesh ball happen? Is Nezha destined to be the Vanguard of the Zhou Army, or just a supernaturally powerful kid who can wreck the dragon king's crystal palace three days after his birth?
If he did kill Ao Bing and not just some random dragon, was it an accident, completely justified, or FSYY-accurate? Is his suicide forced or a willing sacrifice, done to save his parents? Did Li Jing destroy his temple? If the Attempted Patricide Arc happened, how was it resolved?
Change one of these, and it will have completely different implications on the Li Jing-Nezha relationship, yet we don't get a single answer to any of these questions.
As a result, the show's version of their relationship and conflict also feels very shallow and generic, your standard "The obedient son must finally stand up and find the courage to voice his opinion to his harsh but loving father——no real anger involved, of course!"
Which is a narrative divergent enough from the mythos as to require proper explanation, instead of being left up to the audiences' imagination, and also, in my opinion, far less interesting than it could have been.
For example: instead of learning to speak his mind (like he'd ever be afraid of doing that), the high point of their conflict is Nezha realizing that he has legitimate reasons to express his anger towards Li Jing for his short-sighted, unsound and overall Lawful Stupid decisions in the here and now, without it being a continuation of their old grievances or exploding into Patricide Arc 2: Electric Boogaloo.
And for someone whose limited characterization has been nothing but an unbroken chain of putting laws and loyalty above reason and common sense, it should take something a lot harsher and undeniable than "They aren't bad guys, dad!" to convince Li Jing.
Lastly, instead of the very cliched "I'm sorry, there's so much left unsaid, I'm proud of you" line, I'd prefer something that was less blatant and, though still awkward, more in line with the rewritten conflict above: sth like "You are right to be angry at me, and I won't mind if you never stop being so."
Flower of a Poisonous Seed Part 22
Tw: slight drug mention
Part 21
"And....
NOW!!!"
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY WUKONG!!!!!"
"Oh!... What am I looking at?"
"Oh, oops, we forgot to turn your wheelchair around. Sorry."
Wukong sat in his primrose themed pink gown with many petticoats dumbfounded.
The botanical garden was blooming in colors Wukong never thought possible. Streamers hung from the white gazebo in the center, flowing in every direction. The table underneath was filled with Wukong's favorite foods, and presents of various sizes littered the surrounding floor.
The cake in the center was a gorgeous raspberry cake topped with coconut shavings and the words "Happy Birthday Sun Wukong" written in icing along the sides. Candles shaped like a seven and three zeros sat unlit on the top tier.
SWK: This is amazing! When did you guys have time for all this?
RS: We had help. You see, M-
Mac: Can we PLEASE just eat the cake already?
Nezha: Dude. We just got here.
DBK: We can't have cake yet, we still have many activities planned!
Mac: But CAKE!!!
PIF: *raises her fan threateningly*
Mac: Fine!
~~~
A particular section of the garden held objects needed to preserve floral arrangements. Wukong made a scrapbook of the various flowers in the garden, each page filled with information about the individual species with poetry relating to the symbolism of each bloom.
Wukong always assigned a specific flower to each person he loves, and if that flower was in the garden, you better believe their picture was on the page with their flower.
Nezha tried his hand at making a painting of Wukong as he made the scrapbook. It turned out wonderfully.
Princess Iron Fan attempted to make a flower crown out of roses, but to no avail. Red Son, on the other hand, crafted a flower crown truly fit for the birthday king.
Wukong wore the crown the rest of the day.
~~~
PIF: IT'S NOT TIME FOR CAKE YET!!!!!
Mac: JUST ONE BITE, PLEASE!!!
DBK: No. *squirts him with a spray bottle*
~~~
Jing: Alright, time for cake and presents!
Mac: FINALLY!!!
Wukong sat in the Demon Bull King's hand mesmerizing by the candlelight. The cake smelled delicious. Wukong almost tuned out everyone's singing. He was zoned in just enough to know when to blow out the candles.
No one noticed Macaque grabbed a handful of cake until it was too late.
PIF: MACAQUE!!!!! *chases him with her fan raised*
Mac: *mouth full of cake* *muffled* I REGRET NOTHING!!!!
Nezha: Oh, for the love of-
RS: Let's eat the cake while he's distracted!
SWK: LET'S!!!!
~~~
After everyone had their fill (and Macaque had been turned black and blue), gifts were handed one by one to Wukong.
Demon Bull King could barely see his brother past all the wrapping paper by the end of it.
One present sat under the table almost forgotten.
Jing: Wait, there's one more!
Nezha: Here you go, Wukong.
SWK: Sweet, who's it from?
RS: It... It's from MK.
Wukong stared at the present and questioned whether he should open it.
He decided he should.
The card inside the box moved Wukong to tears. It was the first time he's cried since he started taking antidepressants. These weren't sad tears, however.
Wukong missed MK with all his heart and wanted so badly to take back every word he'd said.
It seemed like MK wanted the same.
Inside the present was a painting drawn by MK himself, depicting the two of them sitting together on Flower Fruit Mountain watching the fireworks on New Years.
Masterpost
It was the best present Wukong received that day.
Erlang Shen is Supposed to Be on Vacation
S5 theory fic: Erlang Shen is supposed to be on vacation. However, in an hour, he learns that his uncle is dead, someone is trying to do another coup, and Sun Wukong has been filleted again. The people who deliver this news, including mass criminal Master Subodhi, the duo of Ao Lie's descendant and Iron Fan's son, and the creation goddess Nuwa, make things... difficult.
Erlang Shen was on vacation.
He honestly needed one after centuries of work, both doing whatever dirty work his uncle supposedly needed and the day-to-day running of his territory. The gods of fate had been merciful, creating a summer where Jian didn’t have anything important to do until autumn. Heaven could be handled by Li Nezha or any of the hundreds of other warriors (mostly by his student because he knew how the guards could be), the training of his personal guards and army could be handled by his head guards, and any paperwork could be handled by his staff. With all that, Jian found himself luxuriously stretching in his garden, soaking up the sun. Even Xiaotian Quan stretched out, making a happy little dog noise.
His private garden was his favorite place in his palace. Most of the plants grew naturally in the Sichuan province, but the air was sweet with the smell of blossoming Flower Fruit Mountain trees. The saplings had been a gift from Sun Wukong on his birthday, and Jian found no shame in enjoying the gift.
Hm…with the thought of Wukong floating around, Jian wondered if he could invite him over. Despite their rocky beginnings, Jian enjoyed the company of his sworn brother, both platonically and in a more romantic light. He had recently heard that Wukong had also taken up a student, so maybe they could talk about that?
The summer seemed full of possibilities.
Right now, Jian just wanted to sunbathe.
So lost in his relaxation, he didn’t notice a magpie settle on the branches of one of the peach trees, staring down at him. Xiaotian raised his head, but the magpie fluttered away before the dog could notice anything. The large hound, after a quick scan around, settled back down into the grass.
The magpie poked its head out and, deciding it was safe, flew down from the branches.
“Ahem. Prince Erlang Shen.”
He shouldn’t have tempted the gods of fate.
Jian pushed up his sunglasses.
Silver robes and a long white beard met his eyes. If he didn’t recognize that distinctive style, the feeling of the old man’s power gave his identity away. “Master Subodhi,” Jian said, sitting up. “I thought I warned you to stay away from my property unless you wanted me to fulfill my promise of bringing you in.”
Was he risking his uncle’s ire by not fulfilling the bounty on the daoist’s head for gaining immortality in an illegal way? Yes. Did he care? Eh, not really. Wukong had racked up way more charges against him in his long life and he wasn’t exactly the biggest fan of his uncle.
“Are you aware of the state of the world?”
The question came so out of left field that Erlang Shen blinked. “Uh…it’s summer?” he said, gesturing to the perfect summer day with big white fluffy clouds drifting carelessly in a blue sky. “It’s a nice day? My uncle isn’t calling to bother me?”
Subodhi raised a brow. “I can see why, considering he’s dead.”
There was a long pause.
“...excuse me?”
He…didn’t know how to process that.
“Have you not seen the kid? Did you not see reality start to tear apart?”
Oh. That. “That happens sometimes, especially as my uncle gets older. He must’ve slipped up to have everyone see.” Erlang sighed. Honestly, the dramatics of old men. “If he died, someone would’ve told me-”
THWACK!
“OW!”
“Are you telling me that communication in Heaven has so broken down-”
“My lord!” Before Subodhi could finish his yelling or Erlang could grab and throw that stupid ruler far away, several guards marched in. “We have captured two trespassers. They insisted on talking to you.”
“YEAH!” A female voice called from the center of the huddle. “We have some questions for you.”
Erlang blinked. She sounded young and probably better than the gaping immortal, who for once looked surprised. “Allow them forward,” he called. “Let me see them.”
The guards stepped aside, revealing a girl in a green jacket- her features were familiar, although Jian couldn’t put his finger on why- and…hm. He had heard stories and seen pictures of Princess Iron Fan’s son, although he had never met him in person. He had the same dark eyes and noble bearing his former sworn sister had.
“What are you doing here?” Subodhi said, interrupting his thoughts with his baffled words. “Did you follow me?”
“Master Subodhi? What are you doing here?” the girl said. “You-”
Before she could finish, Red Son grabbed her and forced her to bow at the waist. “Remember what we talked about,” he hissed quietly to his companion. “Manners or we aren’t gonna get anything.”
“Yeah, but-”
He stomped on her foot. “Erlang Shen, Illustrious Sage and True Lord of Sichuan, we are Hong Ha-eir, son of the Demon Bull King and Princess Iron Fan, and Long Xiaojiao, descendant of Ao Jie-”
“Oh, that explains why you look familiar.” She looked strikingly like Ao Lie’s older sister…what had been her name again? Jian stood up with a sigh. “Rise, please, nephew.”
Red Son bristled at the address, but rose. Long Xiaojiao stepped forward. “Lord Erlang Shen, we came to plead for mercy for Sun Wukong, Liu’Er Mihou, and my best friend, Qi Xiaotian,” She got fully on her knees, pressing her forehead to the grass in a kowtow. “The charges leveled against them are false. None of them helped Azure Lion reach Heaven and kill the Jade Emperor. Any actions they did to help him were unwilling, done with manipulation-”
Several things stuck out at him. “Wait, what do you mean, kill the Jade Emperor?” Jian nodded to Subodhi, who’s shocked expression had been replaced by a strangely protective look. “He just told me my uncle died, but I have received no news about his death.”
“You…haven’t?” She rose up from her kowtow, looking confused. “But, you sent out a notice. He’s been dead for what, three weeks now?”
“A month,” Subodhi corrected. “I don’t know what you or your friends did. But it’s been over a month since the previous Jade Emperor was slain.”
“And two days since Heaven violated their agreement with me,” another female voice called. Jian felt himself stiffen, just in time for a hand to cup his face and lips to press against his cheek. “Shen, my dear.”
The pet name given by the goddess dressed in earthly tones only made his brow rise higher. While he had a few brief conversations with the ancient goddess at the few parties they both attended, she had never referred to him with fondness. Something was clearly up and Erlang Shen had a feeling he didn’t want to be part of it, but he would have to be.
“What brings you here, my lady?” he said, dipping into a deep bow.
“Oh, I came here to help my son’s little friends and my son’s…master.” Nuwa’s pause on the last word felt mocking. Subodhi clearly noticed it as well, based on his snort. “I also came here for an explanation.”
Her smile was serene. Her aura was not.
“An…explanation for what?”
“Wait, you’re Sun Wukong’s mother?”
“Wait, you’re XIAOTIAN’S MOTHER?!” Xiaotian raised his head at his name. “Sorry, puppy,” Long Xiaojiao cooed. “Not you.” The dog huffed and settled back down.
“It’s complicated and yes,” Nuwa said before turning to him. “And an explanation for the court’s recent actions. As you must be aware, when the Jade Emperor took the throne, he held up my agreement with his predecessors. Any issue with the stones of the universe must be handled by me directly.”
“...okay? Did something happen?”
That was apparently the wrong thing to say, based on Nuwa’s darkening face. Jian was tempted to deflect, considering he just received the news of his uncle’s…unfortunate passing. But that was the coward’s way out.
Nuwa stared at him. Then she snapped her fingers. “Girl, dearest one,” she called. “Bring him the announcement.”
Xiaojiao and Red Son exchanged looks, but she stepped forward, pulling a scroll out of her pocket. “Li Jing gave us this after he put a filet on Sun Wukong’s head and sucked my best friend into his pagoda,” she reported as he took it.
Jian was too busy studying the scroll to hear the shocked gasps from both Subodhi and Nuwa.
Well, that was his seal.
Jian opened it.
That wasn’t his handwriting.
He scanned it over, reading it quickly. It was all very formal, claiming that the royal family, including the Queen Mother of the West, who was slated to rule until the next emperor would be chosen according to his uncle’s will last he checked, would be taking time to grieve at the sudden loss. Li Jing was to be put in charge for the next few months, supported by the ten kings of the Diyu. Someone had even put the Gold Star of Venus’s seal at the bottom, signifying it as legit.
Jian raised a brow. “Did any of you see the Gold Star of Venus?” he asked the Long girl. She stared blankly at him. He sighed. “Either a goddess in yellow with a cockscomb hat or an older man, about…” He put his hand to about his chin. “Yay high or so?”
She and Red Son exchanged looks. “No,” she finally said. “I don’t think so. Honestly, the only celestials we saw during the trial were Li Jing and Nezha and the ten kings. And I honestly expected to see a few peach maidens.”
Huh? “Why?”
She paused, as if realizing she wasn’t supposed to say that. “No reason,” she lied. “But, to answer your question, no.”
Something was afoot. Jian was tempted to ask if they were just pulling a prank on him, but Subodhi hated his guts, Nuwa was clearly furious, and he barely knew the younger two. Pranks didn’t seem to be in their skillset. Something popped out.
“Did you say that Wukong has the filet?”
“Yes! At least a filet! Li Jing said he wouldn’t take it off unless we got all the universal stones together and fixed the universe.”
“Which you cannot do without my help,” Nuwa said, crossing her arms with a hiss. “There was no quest needed in the first place. The holders would hand them over to me without a problem. Several Heavenly servants saw you attack Azure to defend the Jade Emperor. Nezha’s testimony alone should be evidence.”
Another thought popped into his mind.
“Where was Nezha when this was happening?”
Silence met him. Faintly, the girl sucked air through her teeth. The boy coughed into his fist. He could practically hear the words rise and fall.
A soft hand once again pressed against his shoulder.
“You know where,” Nuwa whispered. She sounded like she was laughing, even if it was silent.
Jian did.
“It seems someone or several someones have lied,” Erlang Shen dropped the scroll- he hadn’t even realized he was crumpling it- and turned. He was met with anger, but not at him. Good. It would fuel them all. “Now, let me go get changed and call my aunt.”
His vacation was over.
I know you talk about Macaque being moron sexual.
But like imagine Wukong TYPE of moron sexual toward Mac. Because like that dum dum really make Wukong his centre of life and orbit around Wukong. Mac follow Wukong like lost puppy. And dispite everything he's obsess with Wukong. That dum dum also blame Wukong of everything because all he see is Wukong.
Wukong is the ✨girlboss✨ in every way possible as he earn everything like fame, power, immortality, forgiveness to heaven, love and family. Wukong study hard and work hard to archives all that all by himself. He is also smart, strong and pretty.
And there's Mac just some guy who obsess him. If anything Wukong get Mac wrap around his pinky. And that dum dum really think he can be at Wukong level. (He not and will never be)
Yet somehow Wukong still love that dum dum. Like movie trope of popular girl and loser dating. People around just wont understand why someone as good a Wukong would date a loser like Mac. Wukong really find Mac dumbness is "cute"
Nezha: Seriusly Wukong what did you see in that guy?🤨
Wukong: He make me 'laugh'😊
Chang'e: I doubt that 😒
-🍰
I describe Macaque as moronsexual as a joke more than anything super serious, and yeah, he did make Wukong the center of his universe and followed him forever.
Them as the popular girl and the loser dating immediately reminded me of that one Tumblr post about a movie about a Jock Girl x A Nerd, and I personally find that visual hilarious.
They're both dumbasses (affectionate) at the end of the day.
Thanks for asking!
It's-a me from Discord!
Continuing from reader working in a bat center, she took care of a particular bat at her work until healthy enough to go back to the wild. Only to reveal that in the end got a new friendly housemate/guard demon.
How would SS!Nezha react to this news?
I supposed that depends on the bat itself-
Like, if the bat can turn into a humanoid, he would be a lot more jealous about it and would act a little bit more possessive when the bat is around the Reader. He would not be happy with the bat around for a long while.
But if the bat just merely talks, he would be a lot more chill about it, but would be still very much on guard at first. After all, he can't be too sure about whether the bat would kill his beloved behind his back.
