I love that scene in tkm where Wymack tells Neil he's going to make him vice captain the next year and Neil tries to politely decline (on the grounds that he'll be dead by then) and Wymack is literally like too bad bitch. This isn't a democracy and i say you're the next captain so figure it out

Almost a decade and this scene from the game's true ending reduces me to a pathetic sobbing puddle. Undertale the story, is about children who were tragically hurt, about going off the deep end and then still finding it in yourself to be kind again.
Chara and Asriel are incredibly tragic, and I wonder if that hug that Frisk, the last human who landed in the Underground, who landed on a bed of golden flowers, included only Asriel? Or maybe both of them…
I won't wax on about how much this game means to me cause I've said it so many times on my previous blogs and side blog lol, and I'm gonna put all my energy into the big one next year in 2025! Happy anniversary everyone!!!

I just saw one of your fave games is What remains of Edith Finch and I’m so happy! I feel like its a lesser known game but i loved playing through it. I’m so happy to know more than just my small friend group know about this game!
Sorry this isn’t a question. Also want to say that you’re art is amazing and the development of the designs is so interesting to see. Also the way you draw intimate scenes have so much emotion to them. I love the Aj and rarity kissing comic so much, you can just feel their love for each other ;w;

I highly, highly, highly recommend What Remains of Edith Finch to anyone interested in narrative game experiences/"walking simulators." It's one of those games that was handcrafted with nothing but love. Every room you explore is just... real. The way the light flows in and makes the colors of the living room, the kitchen, the bedrooms glow. Playing the game is like walking through your childhood home as an adult and seeing how the dust clings to everything you once touched. Also genius-level gameplay mechanics, ones that can make you completely empathetic with the character you're embodying or feel completely complacent in their tragedy. It's really not fair to call it a walking simulator because it's so much more and so much smarter than that.Everyone talks about the fish one.
The theme of death and memory and storytelling and the burden of invisible trauma and self-fulfilling prophecies is so affecting too. The ending made me cry.

I'm so sorry if this is asked frequently but when are you releasing the full game of mushroom oasis?
That's fine! I do get asked this a lot, but I get why! I do appreciate people being excited about the game. I mean, I can't say when the 'full' game will be released since it's updated chapter by chapter (or in this case, Days), but with how things are going the 'full' game is probably released with the Day 5-6 update, depending on where I take the story.
That's when the game is considered 'done.' Until then it's still gonna be a work in progress.

Tired: After Andrew graduates, Neil gets himself the most basic, unassuming used car imaginable. It’s gray and as universally beloathed amongst the original Foxes as Neil’s freshman year clothing choices.
Wired: Neil has a beautiful, sleek, state-of-the-art sports car because he insisted that he’s ‘fine’ and ‘can just run to the court and get some exercise in’ ‘I really don’t get why I’d need a car, Andrew’ so obviously Andrew took it upon himself to make sure he had something serviceable. It’s not Andrew’s fault that he happens to have standards and a sizeable signing bonus to blow on things like this. The car is still gray bc that’s Neil’s favorite color, but it’s a very pretty gray that actually looks amazing on it.
Inspired: Neil drives a cute little car that would be unassuming—if it wasn’t for the bright orange paint job. It is affectionally nicknamed ‘Carrot’.

*sigh* thoughts on Nintendo's botw/totk timeline shenanigans and tomfoolery?
tbh. my maybe-unpopular opinion is that the timeline is only important when a game's place on the timeline seriously informs the way their narrative progresses. the problem is that before botw we almost NEVER got games where it didn't matter. it matters for skyward sword because it's the beginning, and it matters for tp/ww/alttp (and their respective sequels) because the choices the hero of time makes explicitly inform the narrative of those games in one way or another. it matters which timeline we're in for those games because these cycles we're seeing are close enough to oot's cycle that they're still feeling the effects of his choices. botw, however, takes place at minimum 10 thousand years after oot, so its place on the timeline actually functionally means nothing. botw is completely divorced from the hero of time & his story, so what he does is a nonissue in the context of botw link and zelda's story. thus, which timeline botw happens in is a nonissue. honestly I kind of liked the idea that it happened in all of them. i think there's a cool idea of inevitability that can be played with there. but the point is that the timeline exists to enhance and fill in the lore of games that need it, and botw/totk don't really need it because the devs finally realized they could make a game without the hero of time in it.
