I have a strange feeling, like this series might be leading up to Simon's ultimate death arc somehow. Which may be me overthinking it, but they are really hyping up his character. With death and reincarnation being heavy themes in AT, I would not be surprised if it doesn't happen to SOMEONE soon.

Another thing to point out here is that the other AUs are severely fucked up, is it really just coincidence that the original universe gets the "good ending" or is something bigger about to happen that will carry over and affect it too? They're all not just a little messed up, most of them have severe issues, I thought the lich would be consistent in all universes as well but it seems to vary.

This is definitely going down as one of the most Experiences I've ever had. I thought we were staying in Nubra Valley...then I thought we were staying in Diskit...after night fell it turned out we were staying in Hunder. "I didn't know it was tents when I booked it!" said the booker of accommodation. (They're still glamping sort of tents, with proper beds and attached bath, however the power goes out at 11, and there's only hot water for two hours in the morning. It's also really cold, but I've doubled up the comforter which seems to be working.) Despite this (and the hours upon hours of bone-rattling motorbiking over the vague excuse for roads), the views have been breathtaking and it's been quite nice witnessing a local way of things I would never manage on my own (the biker buddies are all from the south of India). I have also seen plenty of yaks, which was one of my main desires on this trip. I'm glad I still have some of the old rash spontaneity and faith in humanity that fueled a lot of past adventures.
