New runner or just a talker

I "like" when some new runners maybe we can call then like that...or maybe showing off people say think like this: NR: oh my goal in the 5k of the Triathlon (never run one before), is to be under 30min that's 10min/mile. But that is soooo slow! Me: that's my avg pace.(no really but just trying to see his reaction) NR: noooo really?? I can't believe. Me: yes!, I'm super super super slow. Idiot! I want to ask...call me when tou run a Marathon and or finish an Iron Man

⁣ Well I finally caved and bought myself actually running shoes. I went into @fleetfeetmalta with no clue what I wanted or needed but the employees there were amazing and so helpful! We measured my feet and he had me try a few different ones. But these bad-boys felt best!⁣ ⁣ Naturally I had to take them for a spin and see how they feel and how I felt when running. My hip didn’t bother me, and my knee wasn’t as sore! Collapsing on the driveway after my long run of the week. 3.46 at 12:28 pace. . I cramped up a few times and walked but I was going for distance over time this run. . Morning run!

This was a slow run with lots of walking. I woke up earlier than I like to be up and took the dog out on the trails. I’m hoping that in time I’ll be able to run this whole route.

Set out to do an hour and see how far I got. There was a lot of walking. A little bit of running. But not bad for my first run in a while.

I’m unsure why my heart rate mostly stays in the fat burn zone and not the cardio zone. I definitely feel like I’m working hard? Or perhaps I only actually ran 19 minutes out of the 60 I did 🤔

Anyway, proud of myself for actually going cause I finished work late and it was raining so motivation was low! Can’t keep making excuses though.
