It starts with a view of their kitchen where Steve is cooking at the stove. Hazel can be heard giggling behind the camera, and is presumably the one filming when Eddie walks into frame.

Eddie: Steven – question.

Steve: *turns to face him, already looking unamused*

how to play :

decide who you’ll be kissing at midnight. scour the internet for pictures to make matching outfits to the theme of the party! make sure to include any accessories or fancy makeup you might be wearing. post your images using rows of 3, preferably making a 3x3 square, but any multiple works. if you don’t have enough images of your outfits, feel free to fill the rest of the slots with images that match the ‘vibe’. or add more ! follow with an explanation of your outfits. where the story comes from / what inspired it, and any details you’ve included that you want to talk about ! be sure to mention @chuuminn and use the event tag: minnie’s nye ‘24 the game will stay open till the 3rd of jan, then the best dressed couple will be chosen by the council (minnie and her plushies) to receive a prize !

this tale comes from greek mythology. a love story between a god and the princess he was sent to punish. psyche's beauty has caught the attention of the masses and become the object of their worship instead of the aphrodite, provoking the goddess's ire. aphrodite sent her son, eros, the god of desire, to make psyche fall in love with a foul beast as revenge. only, upon seeing the princess, eros was pierced with one of his own golden arrows, and subsequently fell in love with psyche himself. that isn't the end of the story of course, if you're interested you can read madeline miller's ( author of the song of achilles, circe, galatea ) retelling here !

Why, yes, I will!

Obv, Sirius and Remus raised Harry, and also they had a million children over the years. But by Harry's fifth year, they SWEAR they're done. Completely, 100% done. Remus is so OVER being pregnant and he's 35 now, he's DONE.

Except. Well.

Harry graduates Hogwarts and moves out. Two more of their children start Hogwarts that September. Their youngest is no longer a toddler. There are a lot of changes happening, all right? And they're nostalgic about the whole thing.

There are lots of changes in the wizarding world, too! Sirius is a menace at the Ministry and pushes through a bunch of progressive legislation. Kingsley Shacklebolt becomes Minister. Things are bright and hopeful and they're kind of high on it all.

Anyway, Shacklebolt throws a New Year's celebration in 1997 (with his lovely and very understanding Muggle husband), and invites all his friends, family, and people from the Ministry. Sirius and Remus are there with their brood, and as the night wears on, they have a bit too much to drink. And they're very, very happy. Just like everyone else, of course! Nothing strange about that!

But then they get a little...handsy. And then more than a little handsy. And then suddenly there's a piercing scream because Molly Weasley has walked in on them in, um, a compromising position in the bathroom, which of course brings the whole party running. (Thankfully the little kids went home to bed hours ago). But all the adults are still there, so within about 15 minutes everyone knows that the two were caught fucking in the bathroom. Anyway, baby Oscar makes his appearance nine months later, yay!

Okay I understand where people are coming from with the "emotional suppression in Vulcans is learned not genetic" talk re: "Charades" but, consider......... the emotional suppression is muscle memory, and the aliens took away the mental muscles that remembered how to do it. It's a crude metaphor on my part, but that was the way I saw it.

Also consider: it's a sci fi show using extremely high-concept bullcrap science on a weekly basis and maybe nitpicking it is a fruitless endeavor because none of it is going to make sense otherwise and enjoying the ride for what it is is a much more enjoyable way to engage with this franchise. Sometimes you need to shrug and let dumb things happen and laugh.

mr house never being able to replicate his courier six because they never let him scan them, so all he has are a few shoddy recordings he took to recreate the courier from. his replicas of courier six are flawed: none are as perceptive, resourceful and proactive. they aren't good at out-of-the-box thinking or improvising. their problemsolving, diplomacy skills and technological innovation ideas fall short of the original and are just another disappointment every time. they end up hollow shells like jane, marilyn and victor. letting new vegas go, ruin itself in pursuit of recreating his perfect right hand again, hope for another fruitful partnership and bright future of the mojave like they did before is so delicious it makes me sick actually send tweet ✌

Every week someone makes a post about how annoying it is that Dick Grayson fans don't acknowledge his flaws, and every week someone replies with an explanation that the flaws OP listed are entirely fanon and inconsistent with canon as it actually happened and at this point I have to assume that none of those explanations are ever going to stick because clearly some people just want the fanon to be true.

Anyway, I'm just putting this here for me to edit and add relevant-to-the-topic links later so I'll have them nicely at hand to read and sooth my frustrations when it gets real bad out there. (Echo chambers are good when we use them to drown out character mischaracterizing fanon.)
