The Avengers are broken. The X-Men scattered to the wind. SHIELD has been lain low by infighting and HYDRA wears the Office of National Emergencies like a second skin. In New York City, a new generation of heros and villains begin picking up the pieces left behind after a devasating cataclysm on the West Coast caused a wave that tore apart the trust the world had put in its superheroes and broke down what little progress had been made in pushing forward tolerance for mutants.

A new group of heroes rises up to Defend those who can't defend themselves, and a new, Sinister Syndicate of villains come together to chase their own ends. Meanwhile, a plucky group of mutant upstarts both above and below ground continue to fend off the smoking wreck of SHIELD, reforged into a new Agency with One unified goal - bringing superhumans under the yoke of government control.

Legend Has It that things used to be better, but that was then, and this is now. What side are you on? Whose story will you tell?

Age: Didn't anyone ever tell you it's rude to ask a ladies age?

History: Born into an off shoot of the Bathory clan in 1724 in a small village north of Palhaza to a mutant mother and human father Drucilla's mutation didn't show itself until her mid teens when a horseback riding accident claimed her life.

Or so everyone thought.

Waking up a few days after her funeral in the family crypt filled with a hunger more intense than anything she'd ever felt before along with enhanced senses and the ability to transform her body into a black mist.

Turns out vampire's weren't myth or montsters but a mutation passed through the generations.

Also turns out that the people of her village had an issue with someone seemly coming back from the dead.

After being chased out of her village, literally chased with torches and pitch forks, by an angry mob the young mutant tralved Europe suriving on the blood of animal's and the occasional criminal. As the years passed not only was she able to heal from any wound she but she aged so slowly that for every decade that passed she barely appeared to have aged a year. Drusilla's other abilities also grew over the years not only could she turn into mist but a flock of bats, emotion & aura manipulation, enhanced strength & agility, and prey animal manipulation & animal empathy. These powers were all considerably stronger when Drusilla was able to consume human blood but she prefers animal and the synthetic blood that Hank had developed when she joined the Institute. She finds her hunger is near insatiable after using her powers and is honestly terrifed that she won't be able to stop herself in time before the person died.

More background will be added as I am able to find out more about her as we play.

Starting off this week's news round up with a lighter topic as there are several issues that are still developing. I'd like to offically welcome new student, Dev to our Mutant family. Dev has already gotten in my goodbooks everyone, though through which secret method I will not disclose. Can't have everyone knowing how to sweeten me up afterall.

Anyway! Dev has been to the school previously, and has now returned as a student so please give them a warm welcome. Though do be forewarned that they do seem to have a mischievous streak. Though, there's nothing wrong with that, if you ask me! [ relevent parties: @imp-decisive ]

Treasured Student gone missing

As some of you have likley heard, Jubiliation Lee [ aka Jubilee] was last seen a few nights ago after an incident we'd rather not disclose in the paper. Her room had been wrecked, and vacated. She has since not been seen by staff and students alike.if you have any news regarding her whereabouts, or any leads as to where she may now be, please inform a member of staff.

And Jubilee if you're reading this please come home. Everyone is worried for you, and we miss you. We're arranging for someone to clean up your room and keep it heated for when you come back.

Mutants in Musical land

With the return of professor hearth from Brazil, the schools play has been selected and auditions will begin soon. As you may have guessed, the chosen play for this year was voted on by members of the board;

And they came to the decision to put on a variant of Alice in wonderland.

When asked why she chose this particular play, professor hearth highlighted the importance of representing a young mutant girl with a rare ability such as essokinesis [ or sommo-realm traversal depending on your interpretation] , and how the book at the time was a revolutionary topic. For showing a young mutant with little control over an ability that wasn't being used to assist her Flatscan peers was entirley unheard of.

Ecology is the study of how living things interact with their environment! Which, for anyone whose interested in biology and chemistry I think you'd quite like this class!

Kaeleena's lips curve into a wicked smile. "Doesn't that make us perfect for each other, my Sovereign of Terror?" she replies, her voice velvet.
