VFS Explorer v1.1a is out!

VFS Explorer is a graphic tool for viewing and extracting files and subfolders from within VFS archives, which are used in Pathologic 1.

Update v1.1 adds new search modes ("Contains", "Starts with" and "Regex"); Russian interface and multilanguage support; checking for new versions from within the app; better errors; and hides debug options by default (enable them back in Preferences).

Update v1.1a fixes a critical error on systems using languages that VFS Explorer is not translated to.

As bundling multiple languages is now possible, VFSE accepts submissions of new localizations. If you'd like to contribute, see Developer documentation, and feel free to message me with any questions!

anyway, they'll probably make another ace attorney. the collections sold so well (including a rare instance of us capital-k Knowing a game outsold capcom's internal projections due to the 2020 leak) that capcom immediately went and greenlit multilanguage localizations for AA5, AA6, and AAI2. and across the collections I think they've built them on MT framework, Unity, and RE engine at this point, so they have plenty of data on what the right tool set for a modern AA would be.

what will that ace attorney be? hell if i know dude. in a perfect world it would be a new team and a totally new cast but i'm guessing we're just going to get phoenix wright 7 with takumi handcuffed to the writer's desk

my manager greeted me in irish.

i blinked at the screen in mute panic. i couldn’t remember how to reply. words and languages collided in my brain. it was a car crash, baby, and in the end all that came out of my mouth was a prolonged aaah with no end in sight. a perfect visual representation would be a multilanguage tsunami, pouring out of my ears and pooling around my slippers on the dusty rug of my childhood bedroom.

i used to write those words down into a black notebook, watching you mock me from that dusty rug. you and your smug gaeltacht born grin. who would’ve thought i will forget them all by the time i’m 30.

“how did the move go?”

move. to galway. my hometown. i found my voice again and rushed out: “oh yeah! the move went okay. got here late last night. drive was smooth. not many cars around after midnight.”

“hehe, don’t get used to it. it’s a totally different story after 8am.”

we chatted for a while, arranging to meet in dublin next month when i was all settled in. won’t take long. all i needed was to get a flat, a car - did i need help with the flat? there are probably relocation programmes for employees available. no. i think i got it. did i tho?

we finished the call twenty minutes later. the fact i managed to scrape by enough words to at least tell him goodbye in irish seemed to cheer him up a bit.

i finished up some minor work tasks, sipping at the remainder of my mother’s disgusting herbal tea and took a short break to open the dusty unused storage areas of my childhood bedroom. i needed to clean up the old junk before moving in the new junk. i had to give one thing to my mother; she did an excellent job of preserving this place. if ever i managed to do something worthwhile with my life she could start charging fucking entry for this museum of fiadh kavanagh.

shaking my head i started pulling out old clothes and creating a pile on the floor. if she believed i still fit into these jeans i should be worried about early onset neurodegenerative diseases.

i was done with the columns and moving on to the hangers by the time she stuck her head in and quirked her dark eyebrows at me. “need any help?”

“mom, why the fuck did you keep all this?” i asked, showcasing fist-full of short gothic dresses. “aren’t you worried about clothes moths?”

ignoring my point she sat down on the bed, smiling. “oh, i though you might still like to keep some of it. it’s not like we need extra storage.”

“mom, look at me!” i threw another armful onto the pile, lifting my arms to indicate my age ravaged body. “how could i possibly fit into size four?! some of these are from the children’s section!”

“you look like a string, you could easily fit. it’s the cigarettes. they are not good for ya.”

i rolled my eyes. “i’m not even fucki…”

the feel of a familiar soft fabric beneath my fingertips made me stop midsentence. i pulled it out into the light with shaking fingers, heart racing against my ribcage. it looked huge in my palms. the faded graphics were barely visible in the shadowy light of my room. if you tried hard enough you could just barely make out the name of the band. distantly i heard my mom echo my name but i was stuck in the past, standing in the cold autumn rain by the open driver’s side window of your car.

“ooooh, i remember this one,” my mother said with a nostalgic smile.

i made a small sound at the back of my throat.

“it’s the donovan boy’s, isn’t it? i remember teasing him about it. i told him: young man, this is not a free laundry i run here! you know what he said to me?”

i nodded, whispering, “it’s not my fault yer daughter is a stinkin’ thief.”

she laughed. “little bastard. he was the worst influence on you. funny how he turned out. would never expect a son of deirdre donovan to make something of himself. i guess we owe it all to the wife. she…”

my body snapped back to action. i was moving away before she could say her name. putting the sweater on the bed next to her, i brushed my hands against my sweatpants and mumbled: “right, look we need to get rid of all this before i can unpack. do you know someone with skinny teenage children? ideally with a questionable fashion sense?”

“we can drive to the clothes recycling point.”

“grand! let’s do that after work.” i told her, kicking my way through the discarted clothes toward the closet and dumping whatever was left on top of the rest. “i need to get back to work now. i have a meeting in 20.”

“oh, ok. sorry.” she chuckled, standing up. “i will bring some bags to put all of this in.” she reached for the sweater on her way out and i jumped in to block her path on impulse.

“uh… where are you taking that?”

she blinked up at me, brown eyes surprised. “downstairs. i figured i could return it to the rightful owner rather than donate it to charity. although,” she giggled, pulling it apart for scale, “i doubt it will still fit him.”

she was gone before i could open my mouth, taking the sweater with her. my clenched fists unclenched with effort as i pushed the door closed and leaned my back against it. i was breathing too hard. the way you handed me that sweater through the driver’s side window on that rainy, a blast from the past; a ghostly memory. just enough to make me shudder.

My Barbie Movie DVD Collection (02/17/23)

Pic 1-4: All movie releases currently available at the time of posting. Some of my DVDs also have extras like a bonus CD (Princess and the Pauper) or a bonus DVD (Pink Shoes). I also have German DVDs for Princess Adventure and Lost Birthday as those are the only official DVD releases so far.

Pic 5: Bonus & Tie-In DVDs. The first 3 are Walmart Exclusive bonus discs that were packaged with their respective movies. I would've had them put next to their movies but I didn't want to disrupt the flow of having each movie one after another. There's also the Rainbow Adventure DVD game that ties into Magic of the Rainbow, Barbie Learn to Draw DVD featuring several movies (and a custom cover I printed out), Sing Like a Star that ties into Diamond Castle, and Sing Along with Barbie featuring several movies.

Pic 6: Other Barbie movies & DVDs. I included the DVDs for Dreamhouse Adventures+Go Team Roberts as they are in the same universe as Dolphin Magic through Big City Big Dreams (and It Takes Two, which has a couple DVDs coming out soon). Then there's the 2 Barbie and the Rockers specials (with a printed out cover) that was digitally ripped from a VHS tape. Then the Dreamtopia special and Festival of Fun, which is the first 4 episodes of the web series put together with breaks between. Then finally the My Scene movies since that was an offshoot of Barbie.

Pic 7: Others. This includes a multilanguage version of PatP which I have because of Willemijn Verkaik voicing Erika, another PatP DVD featuring the "new" artwork, the Mermaidia DVD game which ties more into the Fairytopia/Mermaidia franchise as a whole instead of the Mermaidia movie, and Toy Story 3 since Barbie plays a prominent role in it.

And this will get even bigger soon! The first season of It Takes Two will be released soon in 2 DVD volumes and will be added next to the DVDs for Dreamhouse Adventures. Hopefully the English releases of Princess Adventure and Lost Birthday come out as well.

Hello. As promised I am testing one of the laptop from an other conversion set from you even though I don't possess the Monique hack files, it works like a charm. That's great ! I didn't know about this computer hack but it doesn't seem to break the native functions of the maxis' computers, I hope they are alright for the ultimate collection (I got the osab's version) and we could find somebody who can translate it into other languages than English it would be great. I understand it fortunately but that's always seems messy to get multilanguage mods in a game.

hey, the computer may appear to work, but it needs the global files from the original, updated hacked computer to actually have all of its functions available. also, the monique hacked computer functions are completely standalone; they will never modify the computers from the actual game!

in any case, the hacked computer mine is cloned from requires apartment life, which of course is included with the ultimate collection that osab's download is. so it will work for that version of the game and higher.

How GOOD Dodger sounds in like 90% of the languages

Jenny sounds so CUTE in EVERY SINGLE LANGUAGE

The fact that the norwegian goodbye is the exact same as the second swedish dub... it bothers me a lot

I'm actually pissed they have two swedish dubs. They only re-dub the oldest disney films from the 40s and 50s because the language has changed so much it was necessary. But this movie came out in 1987. The original swedish dub is perfect as it is. It also has a very 80s sound to it with the voices. So why did they redub it? Well, apparently there was some licensing issues when they were releasing it (this is the same reason my little pony films from the 80s got redubbed in swedish in the 00s), thus they needed to redub it. The newer dub is not bad, but compared to the older one... I miss specifically Dodger's voice. Like all the other voices I don't really care, but he just had more POWER in the original. This is Dodger in the original swedish dub, because the clip was on such a low volume in the multilanguage video:

Also, considering the new dub ACCIDENTALLY HAD THE NORWEGIAN GOODBYE CLIP makes me feel like they didn't give it enough care to like. CHECK it was the right language.

Heccan will be redistributed very soon!

Heccan was the testing voicebank for an experimental multilanguage reclist. A female powerful voice that can sing in Japanese, English and Spanish, and even imitate Conlangs or Gibberish easily!

Due to certain external problems, her voicebank had to be taken down for some time.

But she's back! And so is her OpenUTAU port!

Here is a list of details:

As of 10/12/2023, the voice has not yet been updated for redistribution. An announcement will be made when Heccan is ready for download.

The voicebank info (character.txt, readme.txt) will be updated.

The configuration (oto.ini) will remain untouched.

The voice files will remain untouched. (Details below)

The Terms of Use will be updated as well.

The OpenUTAU port will be re-made from the updated UTAU voicebank.

The UTAU wiki page will be re-made from scratch.

The voice will be added to the Website.

The custom reclist of this voice will be updated and made public under a final new name.

A successor voicebank is being worked on, since Heccan has no plans of being updated in some time. (Details below.)

Now, as you may have read above, some questions may rise.

Heccan not being updated in some time does NOT mean she will be discontinued. She had to be put on hold for some time thanks to external issues.

As I can't keep working on new updates for her due to mental health issues, I will give a new chance to other characters and voices that never had the opportunity to have their own voicebanks in the past.

This DOES NOT MEAN you can't keep using Heccan. It only means I won't be able to properly updated her in some time. People are free to keep using Heccan for free as much as they want.

How we built a Marketplace Platform MVP and integrated Generative AI

In this article, we will cover how our team helped launch an online marketplace platform mvp.

I'm going to share a story of our collaboration with one of our existing client. He has an amazing idea to innovate the way corporate event happens in the industry.

The client has good understanding of managing software projects. The client believed design thinking and building prototypes is key step to succeed. So, when our first engagement happened, the client had a figma prototype of 60% of the system ready.

The client's expectation was to get guidance on certain areas of the application. He also wanted to hire a team that converts the figma design into working system from start to finish. Since client had prior experience working with us, they contacted us for this new project.

The Marketplace MVP

The marketplace MVP was very easy to use. Being a corporate user, you are organizing corporate event. So, you will use the site to search for service providers. You will request for proposal. For each of the services you need, you can shortlist the quotation received.

Being a vendor, who serves corporate events, you can add your business and services. You can accept the RFP if it's relevant. Generate quote for the RFP received. Get confirmation of acceptance or rejection from the users.

The key features

The key features that we identified during discovery sprint are:

Responsive UI: Users should be able to use the system in the desktop, tablet and mobile devices.

Multilanguage: System should auto detect the user language from the browser. Ability for users to choose/switch their language.

Social Authentication: Ability for users to login with their Google and Facebook accounts.

Google Maps: Ability for users to see a maps view of the business or service listings

Marketing Plans: Monthly subscription for vendors to promote their listings.

Add Ons: One time add Ons for vendors to verify their business, paid profile setups, photo suites etc.

Listings: Ability for users to see the services based on city, category, and other filters.

Request for Proposal: Ability for users to request for proposals from the listing

Receive Quotes: Ability for users to receive quote from the interested vendors

Approve/Reject Quote: Ability for users to shortlist the quote.

ChatGPT Integration: ChatGPT API will help users to generate the language specific content. Here are some examples:

Our approach

We started with a discovery sprint and shortlisted the in scope features. We also identified the gap in the Figma design prototypes and suggested improvements. At the end of the discovery sprint we had vision of in scope mvp features, timeline and budget.

Tech Stack: React.js, Next.js, Redux and Javascript in the front-end. ASP.NET Core, REST API, ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework Core Code First, Azure SQL, Azure Storage used for back-end. We hosted both back-end and front-end applications in the Azure App Services.

The client engages throughout the project. Client received the dev site hosted on azure after first two sprints. Our team kept updating the dev site after every sprint. The client had flexibility to review and change things as we go.

The result

As we proceed towards the sprints, the client added some important features. Also, updated the UX for some of the modules to be more user friendly. Integrating stripe, google map, language and culture detection was also tricky. Finally, our team deliver all the MVP features with 100% client satisfaction.

Our team stood by the client for any support needed during the beta launch. We will be supporting client as they will go live with the full launch in Jan 2024.

1. Chance Reclist, the multilanguage reclist for dummies

We're starting strong!

We present the Chance Reclist, 2024 edition. This reclist appeared around 2020 or 2021, but now it's getting a very much needed update!

For those curious, it's a multilanguage reclist based on phonetics from Spanish language. Don't know Spanish? Don't worry! A phonetic list is included in the Readme.

The reclist makes UTAUs support Japanese, English and Spanish at the same time. As well, you can make your own custom languages. All of this without the need to imput phonemes with weird formats like @ and & 's.

There's a version already released at UtaForum, and the upcoming update (v2.3) will fix issues about missing phonemes.

When you click on the picture, you should be driven to the download link!

The v2.3 update will make everything be uploaded in a Drive folder directly, to prevent the need to download .rar or .zip files that might be outdated as new versions of the reclist come to light.

In the future, both voicebank versions will be in a single folder wich means the buttons that make both versions different will be merged into one. That gives you quick access to both UTAU and OpenUTAU versions.

3. Tumblr Updates

There's not much thing to say about this. We added a To-Do List page! This way you can see wich voicebanks or reclists are in development, how many wiki pages we posted, etc.

You can access it at the bottom of the left menu. For mobile users... We always recommend the desktop version. But Tumblr is always forcing the App so..

4. Wiki Pages

As you know, since the UTAU fandom incident we had in mind to post our UTAUs in several wiki pages, even if that means that some of them will end up outdated.

So we're keeping track of them in the To-Do list. Since it's many UTAUs and sites, we're using a number intead of more specifications.

Yeah... we will have to fix the formatting.

5. Voicebanks in Development

Our favourite topic! Voicebanks!

You can already see the list of specifications in our Early Access Website and To-Do List, but here's a bit more of info.

Caché Völatta is in BETA, wich means he has many reviews to go through until the stable release. However is usable with some tweaks here and there and is open for public usage.

Heccan will use the v2.3 Chance Reclist and have three new voicebanks: [Libra] wich is the core voicebank, [Judgement] wich is the soft-whisper append, and [Coupier] wich is the pack of the two mentioned. As well she will have new artworks, icons and logos!

They might not be in development, or have the development on hold, unless stated otherwise.

We do a reminder that we usually work with NaiveDesla, wich means that sometimes we help them. This makes our progress go a bit slower.

Another reminder that some of our members have health issues, so we try not to force them.

We will be helping NaiveDesla in the development of a Salmonling reclist out of love for the Splatoon series.
