general Teneo orientation flag

Teneosexual, Teneoromantic, Teneorose

Teneo(Latin for 'to hold') orientations refer to attraction heavily affected by  neurodivergence, specifically;

-Personality disorders, especially Borderline Personality Disorder and Dependent Personality Disorder,

-Separation Anxiety Disorder,

-Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective, and related disorders,

-some manifestations of (Complex) Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder,

-some types of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder,

-Obsessive Love Disorder, or having many traits of one of the above disorders.

Teneo orientations are experienced as being dependent on an attachment figure or figures, someone who is teneosexual would experience no or very little sexual attraction to anyone else while they have an attachment figure or figures. If the an attachment figure or figures was someone they did not experience attraction to(e.g. genders they aren't attracted to, people who are just not their type, family members, paid caregivers) they would be functionally asexual, until they either lost that attachment, or became attached to someone they experience attraction to.

People who use the label may or may not experience attraction while they have no attachment figure or figures, though if they do it is often more infrequent and/of less intense than attraction to an attachment figure or figures. It can also be combined with other labels such as teneobi, teneogay, teneoaro, teneohet, etc. This label could be considered aspec, however the one who made it doesn't consider it to inherently be.

Color and symbol meanings:

The overlapping lines on the symbols is to represent connection and one's orientation being link to their attachment figure or figures

the light gray to black is to represent the spectrum of diminished to complete lack of attraction.

the gold/golden yellow is to represent attachment, attachment figures, and value both the of the person and how they experience relationships.

on the general Teneo orientation flag the red and pinkish purple were most just chosen because they went well with the gold. The flower/star symbol was chosen to not tie the flag to one specific types of attraction

Orange and red, as well as the flame, were chosen for teneosexual to represent sexual attraction. The light purple on the top of the flag the overlap teneosexuals may experience with asexuality

Pink and purple, as well as the heart, were chosen for teneoromantic to represent sexual attraction. The light green on the top of the flag the overlap teneoromantics may experience with aromanticism.

Teneorose flag takes color from both the teneosexual and teneoromantic flags.

Feel free to make alternative versions of the flags, or version for different types of attraction, if you want to

Being Gay but sometimes experiencing what might be attraction to women or other dissimilar genders, but not actually being sure if it's true attraction or not do, to trauma, intrusive thoughts, intense need for affection related to a mental disorder, hypersexuality, identity disturbance related to a mental disorder, or any other reason related to neurodivergence. Or experiencing attraction to women or other dissimilar genders specifically because of one(or more) of the reasons above.

Lexorbian - Simplified flag

Being lesbian but sometimes experiencing what might be attraction to men or other dissimilar genders, but not actually being sure if it's true attraction or not do, to trauma, intrusive thoughts, intense need for affection related to a mental disorder, hypersexuality, identity disturbance related to a mental disorder, or any other reason related to neurodivergence. Or experiencing attraction to men or other dissimilar genders specifically because of one(or more) of the reasons above.

Lexelian - Simplified flag

Being cenelian but sometimes experiencing what might be attraction to binary or dissimilar genders, but not actually being sure if it's true attraction or not, do to trauma, intrusive thoughts, intense need for affection related to a mental disorder, hypersexuality, identity disturbance related to a mental disorder, or any other reason related to neurodivergence. Or experiencing attraction to binary or other dissimilar genders specifically because of one(or more) of the reasons above.

Lexhet/Lexright - Simplified flag

Being hetero/straight but sometimes experiencing what might be attraction to the same or similar genders, but not actually being sure if it's true attraction or not, do to trauma, intrusive thoughts, intense need for affection related to a mental disorder, hypersexuality, identity disturbance related to a mental disorder, or any other reason related to neurodivergence. Or experiencing attraction to the same or similar genders specifically because of one(or more) of the reasons above.

Kinda like be Nebulasexual and Abasexual , but only for some genders. These could use these labels for one or multiple types of attraction, for example someone could lesbian for their romantic attraction and lexorbian their sexual attraction.

the names come from the Latin word perplexor, which you can probably guess what that word means.

In terms of flag design they're based off the homo/heteroflexible flags. With the center section using the color symbolism used on the bi flag, blue for attraction to dissimilar genders, pink/red for attraction to similar genders, although in this instance it's not inherently actually attraction. I also tried to make the overall colors of the flag look a little more "uncertain", if that makes any sense.

Neurorose is when someone is both neurosexual and neuroromantic.

Caedrose

Caedrose is when someone is both caedosexual and caedoromantic.

Caedattractional

Caedattractional is where someone feels that one was previously able to experience attraction, but that ability was lost due to trauma or negative events.

Someone who identifies as both hypersexual and apothisexual. This is similar to polarsexual in that a person's feelings around sex fluctuate between hypersexuality and sexual repulsion, however hyperapothiflux people may also feel a combination of these feelings at any given time, similar to rosesexual. This may or may not be due to trauma.

I feel like my neurodivergence defines my experience with gender and sexuality to a great extent. Like my aphantasia and inability to visualize or fantasize in any way I feel is a significant part of why I'm asexual. I feel my experience with adhd and difficulty keeping up relationships cause if I don't see someone for a period of time I just kinda forget them and tend to hyperfocus on stuff and forget people around me plays a large part in defining my aromanticism and also the constant need for stimulation in various ways from it plays a large part in my high libido. I think a combination of aphantasia and autism makes me very gender indifferent and unable to connect with a gender identity informs why I'm agender.

they are schizromantic, schizsexual, and schizrose/schizaroace; using schiz specifically since schizo is used a lot for different descriptions of neurosexualities but I wanted one for the specific definition of when your schizo-spec symptoms affect/influence your sexuality (and I havent found anybody use just the schiz prefix rather than schizo)

Slidesexual Flag

"Slidesexual is a term exclusive to age-sliding headmates in plural systems who feel that their sexuality changes when they age slide, making it a fluid sexuality and fall under the mutoic umbrella in some cases. A Schizic flag redesign, simplified, more simplified.

I've connected with the term schizic for awhile. However the flag hurt my eyes, and for me a lot of my experiences with the brain's schizophrenia revolve around negative symptoms. To me the bright colors of the original flag spoke more towards positive symptoms.

The colors are based on the original schizic flag, this skhizeingender flag, and the layout is loosely based on this queer flag The messiness of the first design is to represent odd experiences, and blurring of reality.

Neuroattractional is when all of someone's attraction types are influenced by their neurodivergency. Exclusive to Neurodivergent people.

Do you think the aphantasia might be the root cause of most of the other a’s actually? Because I’ve been looking into it and apparently the internal ideal self like in ‘Inside Out’ isn’t metaphorical for most people, like they literally see that, and the voice too. Not even the thing about how your voice sounds higher pitched to everyone then what you’re hearing due to internal reverb, but an entirely separate inner voice, face, and body, that can navigate those mind palaces from ‘Sherlock Holmes’ with enough practice. Like the letters in the air, sorting through memories like files, actual things people can do. Anyway to the other a’s, apparently people were literally seeing everyone in their underwear? When they said that and in cartoons when they did it it seemed like a gag, like of course you couldn’t really do that, but they were doing that, and I’m wondering now whether that fantasising ability might not literally form the basis of the majority of human sexuality/desire, whether if someone developed a ‘cure’ for aphantasia we would also find ourselves finding everything attractive and being really freaked out by it, like the Tek-Knight in ‘The Boys’ (literally depicted as having whatever the opposite of aphantasia is, all that Sherlock Holmes stuff, but as a side effect his brain registered literally everything as normal to be attracted to, from trees to boiling hot coffee, that he’d find fine in the moment with but then be absolutely disgusted by before and after, and even though it was the exact opposite literally it sort of felt like an asexuality allegory almost, that part? For those who sometimes have the actual biological itch that ‘must’ be scratched but none of the underlying desire?

And it definitely made me think it. I think in general neurodivergence and queerness tend to be fairly highly correlated based on any number of population surveys of queer people. Personally i think my variety of neurodivergent conditions directly affect my understanding of my gender and sexuality but attempting to disaggregate correlation and causation seems impossible without a control group which isn't a possible thing to have for an individual trying to understand their identity. So que sera sera, I'm here I'm queer and my brains weird. I would love to like actually try and do research on how aphantasia and asexuality are linked, but asking that question in asexual subreddits had some people hostile about me "medicalizing it" because people are ableists and see any deviation from the norm as bad and it was frustrating.

Coining a few new Favper- terms!

"favper-" orientations refer when ones attraction is influenced by their borderline personality disorder, specifically their favorite person(s). one who is, for example, favperqueerplatonic may only feel queerplatonic attraction for their favorite person. term exclusive to those with bpd. flag color meanings are as follows: gradient from dark grey to light grey representating fluctuating emotions especially regarding ones fp, redish magenta representing love/admiration for ones fp and the final stripe representing the type of attraction specified. confus- orientations (indicated by a question mark) describe an experience where someone is confused, unsure, or otherwise struggling to understand a specific experience in their identity.

In this case, these labels describe identities in which somebody is unsure of or cannot tell the difference between one or more attractions toward their favrotie person. I coined favperconfus identitities because i personally cannot tell the difference between romantic and platonic attractions toward my current fp, and often think i have a crush on an fp when the reality is that I dont at all! So i chose to coin favperconfusromantic along with these other identities to describe my (and hopefully others’) experiences!
