GP: We have this rain only for another 4 minutes, Max. Max: Okay! fuck. And after that, it's dry or no rain? ..... if it's only for 4 minutes, I will stay out. Max: You need to advise with the radar. I don't know that. GP: Yeah, don't worry Max. Just chatting there. I will let you know. GP: You still happy with the flap? Max: yeah. GP: VSC ending, Max. VSC ending. Max: Fuck, it's a lot of water but..

LAP 31
GP: Safety car is at turn 4, Max. Turn 4. Max: Yeah the track is filling up with water like massive rivers. This is undrivable. Hii!! I hope I'm not bothering, I just wanted to ask about how Marcus would feel about Erin? Also thank you for the ask!! I was super happy to see you in my inbox
HELLO!! Im also happy to see you in my inbox, you are not bothering, please send me like a billion asks if you wanna!! JOY.
-First impressions of Erin would be as expected for him, he wouldn’t be as judgmental of her as he is of the other little nerds, but he’d be avoidant in the beginning. Though, after a while of trying to appear ignorant, he would eventually be forced to cave whenever they would hang out alongside Beatrice, giving Erin a couple mumbled ‘hi’s and nods of acknowledgment. (How social.)
-Overall I don’t think he would be critical, just awkward in the beginning. Marcus is a person who tries to make mental tabs on people, he wants to understand their personality before getting to actually know them, so he tries to watch how they interact. Which, from an outside perspective, either made him look like a creep, or a complete antisocial. Just imagine an evil scientist watching over a confused subject. I feel like it would make Erin feel awkward at first.
-Later on though, Marcus would like her personality. I think they’d be pretty similar. Once they got onto the topic of music, he’d happily ask her about her favorites, and ask if she played any instruments. Like an intellectual discussion between two nerds about music, I think that would be a bonding topic.
-He would write her small notes as a form of communication during study halls or just in the library. They’d be little sticky notes passed from Erin, Marcus, and Beatrice. I just thought of than and it made me happy so i added it…
-I think they’d openly trash talk a lot of people, mainly other nerds. Or, someone from their group could say something completely outrageous and Marcus would look over to her and shake his head. Afterwards, just imagine leaving an insane family function with your cousin and immediately debriefing about it when you reach the car. That would be it.

Considering how common 'Mecha' and 'military mech' stuff is here on Tumblr, you might think I'd like it. But, to be honest, I can't stand that stuff.
Half of it's just my seething dislike for mechs as the prototypical military machine in so much of military fiction without any consideration for how much they suck, which rubs me entirely the wrong way. But there's also the fact that none of them care about actually using those mechs in a reasonable, rational military context. Sod all this analysis of the human condition shit, if you're gonna make a story with a military setting I'd expect you to give half a damn about making the Military side of it mean something!

i need a campaign like the unsleeping city that takes place in Baltimore. This is in part because i think it would be funny because so much weird shit happens here that people wouldn’t bat a fucking eye. If a monster attacks the city we’d all just be like “this is because the ravens lost”.
It’s also in part because people don’t see this city as a place where magic can exist. But it does. Baltimore is so incredibly cool and full of community and mutual aid, but nobody wants to see that because it doesn’t make a good headline. We are a city only seen in our suffering and not our magic.
Tl;dr Baltimore is cool and should totally be the setting of a fantasy D&D campaign

I am so excited to read the second book in the latest trilogy by Chloe Gong! I posted my review on Goodreads & on here also for the first book, Immortal Longings… for my bday I received the recently released part 2; Vilest Things! And I’m so so soo excited to read it! I’m anxious for the last book to be published already; I hate waiting lol. I reread Immortal Longings in preparation for this… and now, it begins 🤩 quotes will come lol.
It’s sadly rare for me to find a book that captivates me like this; I read so much non-fiction but am making a point to get fiction back in my life. Finding authors who can capture me and take control of me like this is rare & a blessing… I’m excited !
Nerds!! Add me on good reads lol ☺️

I sometimes use a word but it's one I just literally made up one day so let's get the meaning clear
Robohomunculus (ro-bo-ho-mon-cu-lus, derived from robot and homunculus): Noun. A robotic body or puppet made for an originally immobile Ai.
Example: "Now that I'm sapient, would you mind making me a robohomunculus?"

Excellent 😈
Now that I have you here:
What are your thoughts on a 5e homebrew rule I use at my table, which I call exhaustive spell slots. If a character wants to cast a spell they know but don't have a spell slot for, they can still cast it but take exhaustion points equal to the level the spell minus the highest level slot they do have (which the spell consumes)
I personally use it because I like the cinematic moment of a character pushing themselves to the brink of death trying to cast one last spell to turn a big fight

SOOOOOOOOO!!! Pretty random, i know, but how would Marcus and Andre interact in your point of view? And what would they think of each other? (Sorry if i disturbed you!)
HELLOOOOO!! you have not disturbed me please send asks any time…. I love your art. (evil crazy insane emoji.)
-Markus wouldn’t particularly have anything against Andre, they’d run into each-other a couple of times, maybe library or G&G interactions (briefly).
-He’d probably try to find a way to dislike him, just because he’s a little prissy. But, I think generally, he wouldn’t be all too concerned about him, negatively speaking. They’d interact once, Marcus would take a bit of a 180 with his attitude—maybe finding Andre to be a bit more likable in the end, despite their difference in personality. Wow, maybe that’s because being quick to judge isn’t always correct… what an amazing find, Marcus!
-He’d like the fact he was non-clique, a bit of a respect gain thing. Marcus would be envious of his more open attitude. Even if it was hard to tell. Marcus would try to give him a couple oddly specific compliments on his personality, but they’d come across as just weird statements.
-Other than that… Marcus wouldn’t know how to approach him, but would interact if he was ever approached. Like, he’d give a few mumbled ‘hi’s here and there if he were ever to interact first.
Marcus would be down to go get 7/11 with him if ever invited.

Day 1 of Celebrating Human Life
Hi there! This probably is only going to be seen by like three people, but I want to start celebrating innovations in lengthening the human life. I read the book Extra Life: A Short History of Living Longer by Steven Johnson (link), and it had some very cool stories and explanations. I'd highly recommend the book if you're like me and really like non-fiction books about different subjects. What I think I appreciated most was the constant reminder that expansions of our lifespan happen every year, sometimes multiple times the year, but it still feels like the opposite. That's because it's not very common for media to talk about something that hasn't happened. People die all the time, but we don't talk about how many, many people aren't dying anymore because of innovations like road safety, the creation of penicillin and other antibiotics, and cleaner water systems in some countries. In dedication of this great book and the lack of coverage about things that haven't happened, I'm starting a series where I do just that! The first real post will be tomorrow or some point soon in the future!
