The Shadow Rising, Chapter 45 - The Tinker's Sword
(THIS PROJECT IS SPOILER FREE! No spoilers past the chapter you click on. Curious what I'm doing here? Read this post! For the link index and a primer on The Wheel of Time, read this one! Like what you see? Send me a Ko-Fi.)
(Sunburst icon) In which another vision comes true.
PERSPECTIVE: Perrin finds the disturbance is some Coplins and Congars with Cenn Buie, claiming Trollocs tried to attack this end of the village, too, and "your lot" up at the wood aren't the only heroes this day.
Perrin quickly realizes that they weren't shooting at Trollocs, but at Tinkers, and Perrin calls them in, saying nobody will try to hurt them anymore. The villagers protest, particularly Cenn Buie and Daise Congar. Tinkers are known to steal everything that isn't nailed down, and children. Perrin says they won't turn ANYONE away for the Trollocs to catch, and both Cenn and Daise argue at the other, now in favour of Perrin's offer.
Raen tries to maintain that the Way of the Leaf is the right way, but loses his train of thought. Ila explains the Trollocs came in the night. Perrin tries to think how many Trollocs must be in the 2Rs already to cause all this havoc. He thinks he needs to get underway now, before Faile finds him.
However, every time Perrin turns around trying to get out of the village and after Loial and Gaul, someone else shows up. Person after person comes to Perrin for help with problems they seem to think only he can solve, despite that his most common answer is "what do you think needs doing?" and then telling them to do what they already know to do.
Perrin starts to get very confused and frustrated at seeing his people following someone this way, especially himself. They've always been very independent. He also realizes it's midday and he never even had breakfast.
He goes back to the inn, where Marin half-forces him into a chair and bustles off to get some food. Natti Cauthon is there watching her daughters, though both are old enough to braid their hair, mostly because they're sitting on either side of Aram all but feeding him. Aram keeps staring at the spears and polearms in the makeshift armory on the wall, and Perrin thinks it must be a terrible thing for a Tuatha'an to have to see.
Faile comes along and says she's been enjoying baking bread, and might like to do it again someday. It takes Perrin a minute to remember she's grown up with servants and expects to have them again after they settle down. Perrin says he's worried that nobody seems to want to think for themselves, and it feels wrong from the people he's known to be so independent his whole life. Faile says people want to believe in something bigger than themselves, and want to follow a strong leader.(1)
Aram interrupts to ask who owns the weapons on the wall, and Perrin says they belong to anyone who wants to wield them. Marin brings Perrin's food and he digs in with gusto, and nearly chokes when Aram asks if he can use a sword he's just picked up.
Ila appears at the head of the stairs, and wails that Aram must not, he must put down the sword, the Way of the Leaf! Aram says they killed his mother, and if he'd had a sword, he could have saved her. Perrin asks Ila to leave Aram alone. Any man has a right to defend himself, to defend his kin. Ila says Perrin has become a wolf in his heart, and now she's lost her daughter and all her grandchildren, the last because of him. Aram collapses, weeping, despairing that he could have saved his mother.(2)
Perrin touches Aram's shoulder, and tells him to find Tam al'Thor, to say that Perrin asks him to teach Aram the sword. He's sad, the Way of the Leaf is a fine belief, but it can't last where there's violence, and he doesn't know of a place without that. As Aram leaves, all the women in the room glare and frown at Perrin like he's done something wrong.(3)
Bran sticks his head in to say there are riders, probably Whitecloaks. He gets back on his horse and rides out to meet them, Faile on her horse by his side. Dain begins by addressing Luc as if he's the leader, then sights Perrin and convulses, and Perrin thinks Dain must hold a personal hatred for him for some reason.(4)
Bran steps forward (after waiting for a nod from Perrin, despite that he's the mayor) and says Emond's Field isn't exactly closed to the Children, but they have decided to defend themselves. The people start cheering that they can defend themselves without Whitecloaks, and "The Two Rivers and Perrin Goldeneyes!" which morphs into a cheer for just "Goldeneyes!" which Dain reacts to strongly, to say the least.
Byar steps forward, to say one of their villages was all but wiped out by Trollocs last night. Bornhald confirms that Taren Ferry was attacked, and Luc is puzzled, and asks if Ordeith was at Taren Ferry when it happened. It seems clear that he was.
Dain didn't come to talk of Ordeith, he came to arrest Perrin as a Darkfriend. Byar stares at him in disbelief, but the Whitecloaks prepare their weapons. He continues that Perrin betrayed his father to the Tar Valon witches and Darkfriends who murdered a thousand of the Children with the One Power. Perrin says he betrayed no one, and those who used the One Power in battle are called the Seanchan. Dain says it's all lies. Bran calls out that nobody will be arresting Perrin, not until they produce proof that the Emond's Fielders will believe, and none will ever believe Perrin is a Darkfriend.
Things are escalating quickly. Even Byar can see it, and tries to tug at Dain's arm, but he won't or can't back down now that he has Perrin in his sights. Perrin asks if Bornhald is willing to hold off on his arrest until the Trolloc threat is contained. They may not even make it back to Watch Hill, with all the farms burning and Trollocs still likely in the area. If they stay, he'll know exactly where Perrin is until it's over.
Faile rounds on Perrin, saying he absolutely cannot do this. Bran asks only if he's sure, and he is. Bran offers additional terms: they will arrest no one, they will make no trouble, go into no house uninvited, and he doesn't want the slightest hint of a Dragon's Fang on a door.
Bornhald takes another minute, but agrees. Luc says an enemy's blade goes in quicker when it's close, and Faile agrees. Perrin says he had to do this, anything's better than fighting each other and doing the Trollocs' work for them.
The Whitecloaks start to ride into town, Bornhald and Byar glaring at him with pure hatred, and the rest regarding him with cold, hard eyes as they pass. He knows he had to do it... but it wouldn't be such a bad idea to let the young men follow him around, the way they've been trying to all day. And he isn't going to be able to sleep without guards on his door. Guards, like some kind of lord. At least Faile will be happy.(4)
=====
(1) HMMMM not so comfy sitting with this as a conclusion given it's what I think the narrative supports. I'd rather if RJ had leaned more toward, people are confused and scared and need reassurance even in the obvious things they've done every day for years. (2) So, one of Min's visions finally comes to call: a Tuatha'an with a sword near Perrin. Also, note the direct callbacks to the Aiel's history in the glass columns. The Tuatha'an broke off before anyone started wielding arms, but this is a great compare-and-contrast, because here, Aram has some outside support by way of Perrin saying that yes, it's okay to want to defend yourself. (3) Has he? Do you agree that this is okay? Encouraging a young man to give up everything he's ever known, to become anathema to his whole community and family? I can't say anything here about how I feel, because I can't separate my reaction to this from my knowledge of where it ends up leading, so I always love to see unspoiled thoughts on it. (4) Will she, really?

WoT Musings: S2 Episode 3
GETTING CHILLS
This is one of my favorite sequences in TGH, one of my favorite Nynaeve moments, hell probably one of my favorite series moments, and I want them to nail it so bad.
Looks like the first test is going to be about Nynaeve loosing her father and mother. Makes sense since she never faced Aginor and Balthamel in the show. The choice was about letting go of the desire to persue revenge and fight, to choose being Aes Sedai over that.
Interesting choice to make the new 'Wisdom' Natti Cauthon instead of figment tyrant. It makes what's happening cut a little harder.
'How is Rand. is he happy?' FUCKING OUCH
Offfffffffff. On one hand they don't have a whole episode to commit to this bit, so their having to use shorthand hand.....but DAMN is that some knife twisting. I dig it though. Instead of a tyrant Nynaeve could fight off, it's something she can't fix because of her own block, her anger and fear. She has to choose between cold empty comfort for a dying man....and going back to seek the power to do actual good. Very very clever.
OHHHHHHHHH THAT THIRD TRIAL DO HAVE THOUGHTS
THE SOUTHERN TWANG ON THAT SENCHAN VOICE IS WOOF
Bye Uno! I would feel bad, but I'm afraid you're a funny bit part that's an easy sacrificial lamb here. It was gonna be you or Masema, and he's got problems to cause Perrin latter, so it's you!
I am really really REALLY digging the mix of Dynastic China and Versailles Era France in Cairhien's design in the show.
I am going to need SO MANY FICS of Logain and Rand fucking nasty during that garden scene you have NO IDEA
Asmodean is a going to be a good teacher to Rand solely because Logain is going to set the bar so fucking low.
Lanfear putting forward this chill cool innkeeper lady persona in Cairhien only to invade Rand's dreams to show off the true depths of her crazy where it's safe to do so, and ALSO to trick Rand into burning down her inn and thus leave him feeling guilt ridden/indebted to her is SO ON BRAND
Elayne and Egwene's friendship is already making me So Happy. I can't wait till we get Elayne and Nynaeve road trip shenanigans later on in the series.
Nynaeve's Acceptatron test is something I am going to have to sit with. I really really like the fact that just like in the books she let the arch fade away the first time, and I really like that once again it was HER that forced it to come back by channeling, something she wasn't supposed to be able to do in the test at all. The important part of this choice in the book is that it's Nynaeve DECIDING to go back, to claim the power she needs to protect those she loves, choosing that over paradise. The show's choice to instead demonstrate that such a paradise would be empty and fleeting if she DID choose it, is....one I am going to have to chew on.
Overall the show continues it's trend of adapting the core of the books, while changing the details to better suit the new medium, and I'm board with that.

speculation for wot 2x6-2x8
Okay, I talked about this briefly during my last book spoilers rewatch for 2x5, but I wanted to take another look over the imdb listings for the last three episodes and take a guess at the storylines we'll be tracing. disclaimer: it's imdb, so grain of salt about the accuracy.
2x6: Eyes Without Pity
For the Cairhien storylines:
Siuan is listed in this episode, so I suspect that this may be the episode when she arrives in Cairhien (either that or she's in flashbacks in this episode and then shows up in person in ep7 if the royal wedding happens then)
Lanfear is listed for all the remaining episodes, so we're going to get our continuation of the Rand & Lanfear scene. Logain is also listed, so we may see Logain training Rand, or attempting to train him.
Min is listed, so this is likely the episode when Mat and Min arrive in Cairhien.
Both Anvaere and Barthanes are listed to appear as well.
For the White Tower plotlines:
We have Verin, Yacissa, and Tomas all appearing, likely continuing the Black Ajah Hunt thread.
We also have Liandrin, Alurdan (her son), and Joiya. Speculation: this may be when Liandrin's son dies, which would free her to leave Tar Valon with Joiya to do Black Ajah Hijinks in 2x7.
For Lan:
We've seen in the trailer that he's going to have a confrontation with Alanna and her Warders. Don't know exactly how it's going to turn out, except that Lan will likely end up in Cairhien either at the end of this episode or in episode 7.
For our big stuff in Falme:
In Egwene's part of the plotline, Renna, Miri (the blonde damane), and Maigan are all listed. I'm putting Maigan here because I suspect that she might already be damane at this point (having another Aes Sedai in hiding in Falme seems redundant since we already have Ryma).
We have Loial & Ingtar listed, but we don't have Masema or the other Shienarans, so they may still be in their seafoam-green slave clothes in this episode while they try to figure out a way to save Egwene. Suroth is listed and may interact with them -- Turak, however, is not listed for this episode.
And in Nynaeve & Egwene's part of the plotline, we have Ryma and Basan (her Warder).
Aviendha is not listed, so this will likely be an episode without Perrin, which would make sense, as they are traveling towards Falme.
For 2x7: Daes Da'Mar
For Cairhien storylines:
We have Siuan again! I was braced for only one Siuan episode so I'm glad to see her name again and hope it is accurate. We have all the Damodreds, we have Logain, we have a "Sun Palace Servant", and we have Hayley Mills playing an unknown role. Is Siuan in Cairhien for the wedding and Hayley Mills is playing the Queen? Is this the flashback episode and Hayley Mills is Gitara Sedai?
Min is not listed for this episode (or the next), so if imdb is accurate, then she is going to split off from everyone else in episode 2x6 and will not be going to Falme.
Rand is going to be doing some more training and maybe attend a royal wedding and leave in the middle through a Waygate with his group.
The note of 'Natti Cauthon' being listed for this episode is particularly interesting. Might be Ishamael messing with Mat in TAR?
For the White Tower:
Alanna & her two Warders might end up here after their conversation with Lan in 2x6. If so, she can talk with Verin (who is listed along with Yacissa again), which might lead into the two of them collaborating next season. Maybe in a nice… mountainous region.
It looks like we'll see Liandrin and Joiya as well, but Liandrin's son is not listed for this episode.
For Falme:
I think this is the episode Perrin & Aviendha arrive in/near Falme and it looks like they meet up with Bain and Chiad at this point. Interestingly, Loial is listed for this episode but Ingtar is not.
In Egwene's part of the storyline, we have Maigan, Renna, Seta, and a character named Mulean (in the books, she's another of the sul'dam, the one who runs the damane quarters).
Ryma is not listed.
For 2x8: What Was Meant To Be
I think this is going to be pretty much entirely a Falme episode, with Rand & co having left Cairhien at the end of 2x7. None of the Cairhiein-related characters are listed. None of the White Tower-related characters are listed.
Of note: Bayle Doman is listed; Amaresu (one of the Heroes of the Horn) is listed; Uno is listed; Maigan is still there. Everyone else is basically who we would have expected, with the addition of maybe getting another of those Age of Legends cold opens, as LTT is listed.
Once again, we do not have Ryma, and we do not have Min.
So, some speculation overall:
We're going to see more Black Ajah cat-and-mouse in the White Tower in episodes 6 & 7, but by the end of episode 7, I think it's likely that Liandrin and Joiya are preparing or have left the White Tower for future Black Ajah Hijinks elsewhere (we might get a stinger at the end of the season of one of the other Forsaken being released: likely Moghedien but maybe Rahvin or his equivalent).
Yacissa might get killed by the Black Ajah, which would be heartbreaking. I like her!
I think Alanna & her Warders are going to end up in the White Tower as well, and we may get indicators of her plotline joining up with Verin's, and it might be more weighted towards Black Ajah investigation as opposed to "let's seek out strong channelers" but would still lead them towards the Two Rivers for s3.
Leane will continue to be the de factor leader of the Tower during this time.
Rand is going to get some training -- in the waking world by Logain (and I think he'll realize the limits of the training that Logain can give him in his current state) and potentially in TAR by Lanfear, if he tries to create a wedge between Ishamael and Lanfear and imply that maybe he's open to his old relationship if she helps him out.
Moiraine's focus in these episodes will be on trying to guide Rand (teaching him politics? Rand getting lessons in three different fields at the same time… maybe even four once Lan shows up)
I think Lan will arrive in Cairhien either at the end of 2x6 or the start of 2x7, after he has his confrontation with Alanna's Warders.
During these two episodes is when we will see Siuan in Cairhien -- reuniting with Moiraine, speaking with Rand, and at least one flashback with Moiraine at the White Tower.
Min and Mat are going to arrive in Cairhien in 2x6 (the promo shot of Min in the Foregate) and then something will happen that makes them split up -- if Min confesses to Mat about Liandrin to try to warn him about Ishamael or the viewing, Mat might decide that he can't trust her. Mat and Rand will end up running into each other and Mat will go with Rand to Falme.
I do think that the stabbing viewing is going to 'come true' this season, so that the audience isn't left hanging on it, and I'm very curious about the approach that they're going to be taking with Mat and Rand as a whole, because there are some key differences about their relationships with the concept of the Dragon Reborn as opposed to the books.
At the royal wedding during 2x7, Rand, Mat, Moiraine, and Lan all leave through a Waygate. Logain either stays in Cairhien or Siuan takes him back to the White Tower with her in 2x7. We may or may not see the consequences of the wedding in Cairhien on-screen this season, but Cairhien will probably be in chaos the next time we see it in the show.
So that's the thread of four of our main characters on their road to Falme.
In Falme itself, next episode looks like it's going to focus on damane training and on Elayne & Nynaeve learning about the situation in Falme from Ryma. This is the first time we'll see Nynaeve spending any significant amount of time with a Yellow Sister.
That Maigan is listed for the final three episodes and Ryma is only listed for 5 & 6 does make me wonder if we'll be introduced to Maigan as 'Pura' and Ryma leaves the show with more of a bang. Obviously, she can still be captured and then just not shown for the last two episodes (or imdb could be incorrect), but the cast listings do make me wonder.
Egwene is… it's gonna be rough. I suspect that Loial is going to take the place of Min in being the friend who visits Egwene and sees how terrible her situation is - I think that may take place in 2x7, as Loial but not Ingtar is listed for that episode.
Perrin and Aviendha are scheduled to arrive in Falme in 2x7, it looks like, and we'll get to see Aviendha reunite with Bain & Chiad and we may get more explanations about the Car'a'carn, or the show might choose to leave it a mystery for now. Ingtar isn't listed for 2x7, so I don't think we'll get Egwene's jailbreak until 2x8. Given the cast lists, 2x7 is probably going to focus on Cairhien and getting them through their plots there and then yeeting them to Falme, with slightly less focus on Falme and with the White Tower plotline being wrapped up for the season (I worry that Yacissa is going to get murdered by the Black Ajah, aka Liandrin and Joiya).
It looks like we may get an LTT cold open for 2x8; probably either with Ishamael or with Lanfear. I'm leaning towards Ishamael, since I think 2x8 will… be an Ishamael-focused episode in a way (I think it's his expectations that are going to get violated rather than Our Heroes, in a reversal of 1x8). Last season, it was Moiraine on behalf of Team Light making big promises that they were going to win it all, but as of 2x5, Ishamael is the one who currently believes that he's on track to win the whole board game by 2x8.
In 1x8, Rand mistakenly believes that he's facing the Last Battle but his enemy has hidden cards up his sleeve that destroy Rand's victory; will 2x8 be that in reverse, where Ishy thinks he has everything all sewn up and then his plans fall to pieces?
I suspect that Perrin might actually kill Daddy Bornhald in this version, thus marrying the two plotlines of him actually killing Whitecloaks and being suspected of killing Daddy Bornhald. And I think it might happen because Daddy Bornhald kills Hopper when Hopper leaps in to protect Perrin at some point during 2x8. I don't want Hopper to die, so I hope this speculation is wrong! (I mean, we'll keep seeing him even if he dies, but I will be sad!)
I think Elayne and Nynaeve rescuing Egwene is likely to be fairly similar to the books overall.
I'm really curious how the Horn is going to end up in Mat's hands and how much overlap we'll get between the plot threads as they converge on Falme. And if we believe imdb, then Uno might reappear again as one of the Heroes of the Horn.
Since it's implied that we're going to get the sky battle between Ishamael and Rand (it's been mentioned twice, once by Verin and once by Ishy), that also implies that Rand will face Turak early in the episode, maybe that is what kicks off the rest of the fighting?
One of the big things I'm hoping for is that we'll get some downtime with the group after the big events all go down or some strong reunion moments and meetings during the big events, because there will probably be another time skip between s2 & s3, and it might be easier for the show if at least some people are already in their new locations by the s3 premiere. (I am hoping that Avirandlayne all get introduced to each other, for example)

imdb is starting to fill out the episode casts for eps 1-3! take with a grain of salt since idk if they're 100% accurate about who appears in what episode, but these are the ones i find most interesting so far:
elayne, min, selene, logain, and suroth are in 2&3, but not 1
loial, leane, liandrin, sheriam, ishamael, ingtar, uno, masema, and elyas are in 1-3
alanna, ihvon, maksim, verin, adeleas, and tomas are in 1&2, but not 3
padan fain is in 1
"tuatha'an mother" is credited for ep1, so i'm guessing that means the darkfriend social speculation was correct on that point
lindsay duncan is in 3 (no character name yet, but it was previously leaked she's playing moiraine's sister)
tam al'thor & natti cauthon are in 3 (!!!!! what do we think? cold open? someone's dreams? part of nynaeve's testing visions?)
nynaeve's parents & "young nynaeve" are in 3, as well as "elnore jr" whose actress i'm pretty sure is the little girl in that trailer shot with perrin. what if nynaeve's What Might Be future isn't just domestic lanaeve, but rather domestic lanaeve PLUS all her friends safe and happy and together with her 🥺
also of note, it says the cast is listed in credit order, and after the main 7 from s1 we have ceara coveney, and then after her it goes back to cast with A last names and starts going in alphabetical order, so i think that confirms that ceara is a regular on par with the main 7 for this season!
#waiting patiently for gawyn to be added.......please............#wot#wot on prime#wot show spoilers#the wheel of time

i wasn't lettin' up 'til the day he died
read it on AO3 at https://ift.tt/sxOEX4f by Alex2134 Perrin and Rand both took a seat near him, watching him. “What are we gonna do, Rand?” Perrin asked quietly, voicing the question Rand himself had had the entire drive home. “We'll help him. We can get Nynaeve, Moiraine, and Siuan, and even Dad here to help. That's all we can do. He's not going to take any of this well,” Rand said, combing his fingers through his short fiery hair anxiously. Perrin nodded dully, staring at Mat like one might at a fallen comrade. Rand patted him on the shoulder comfortingly, not entirely sure himself of how this would go. They sat in silence for a time before Rand’s stomach growled loudly. Perrin glanced at him and then unhurriedly got up to go to the kitchen to cook. Perrin’s meals were always hearty and filling, so hopefully Mat would eat something when he woke. Abell: So, Mat is no longer allowed to take the trash out at night.
Natti: Why not?
Abell: Because I've caught him trying to train badgers to fight five times in a row.
Little boy Mat pouting: You'll be thanking me when the third badger battalion saves us all.

I started looking up Mat's family in encyclopedia-wot and the Companion to make sure I knew all the basic stuff about them, and realized several things in this process:
1) All of the Cauthon children are feral, terrifying chaos gremlins, not just Mat.
Bode is described as a female version of Mat personality-wise; she's smart and going for Blue or Green Ajah so she can have adventures instead of reading about them. (So basically the only difference between them is that she reads and can do magic?) She's also a Budget Egwene; she was born with the spark, has a similar future strength level and she's 4th best at cuendillar in Salidar. Eldrin doesn't seem to have much distinguishing her from Bodewhin personality-wise, and she continues the tradition of buck-wild Cauthon antics because she STABBED A TROLLOC WITH A BOAR-SPEAR when it grabbed her older sister. The sisters all tattled on Mat constantly to their mom but he never figured out she was using them as informants, so he still just thinks she's omniscient, which is charming.
2) Since they are all feral, terrifying chaos gremlins, the characteristic Big Cauthon Energy had to come from one or both parents.
Despite Abell's "serious eyes", I peg him as the OG Rogue With A Heart of Gold in the family; he certainly seems to have supplied Mat with the trickster skillset, and going to the White Tower to track down Mat with Tam is also the kind of 'rescuing' thing Mat does. It's quite possible that Natti and Abell were essentially a comedy duo, though, with Abell in the comic role and Natti as the straight man/comedic foil. She's described as 'usually cool and composed', which is what you want in that dynamic. She might not have been a trickster herself, but I bet she knew exactly what she was doing. She probably deliberately encouraged all of them to be feral, terrifying chaos gremlins, the way your friends will pretend not to react to you being silly to encourage you to reach even greater heights of silliness. This is my Theory of Big Cauthon Energy.
3) Freud was right.
Mat fell in love with a woman who is apparently somewhat similar to his mother- someone able to beat him at his own game through strategy, someone *famously* cool and composed (who he makes it a game to try to provoke), someone who is an excellent straight man/comedic foil. Her deadpan responses to Mat, which are a common example of straight man comedy, are some of the funniest things in the series. I'm thinking specifically of the bit where she completes the marriage ceremony by nonchalantly parroting the exact words he used to accidentally start the ceremony, swearing included, or the bit where she asks him what he does for a living, he says he's a gambler, and she just says conversationally "My father called himself a gambler. He died of a bad wager." and Mat is just like "haha WHAT” in his inner monologue... which again feeds back into my point, in that Tuon sees parallels between Mat and her father.
I wish I had a 4th point so I didn't have to end on the icky stuff about Freud...ok, got one.
4) I'm sad we didn't see Eldrin, 16-year-old Trolloc-stabber, stab more Trollocs. Eldrin should get to stab as many Trollocs as possible.

Under the cut are 19 gifs (250x160) of Juliet Howland, who plays Natti Cauthon on Season 1, Episode 1 of The Wheel of Time live-action series on Amazon Prime Video. She is a British actress of unspecified Caucasian/White descent, so please cast her accordingly. (Some GIFs contain the images/appearances of Barney Harris and Christopher Sciueref.)
All these gifs were made from scratch by me, and are mainly for roleplaying purposes. Please DO NOT repost or claim as your own, as well as add them to gif hunts. If you wish to edit or resize them, please inform me about it beforehand.
Please like or reblog if you are using/saving them, or spreading the resource.

I am bad at liveblogging so here's some ramblings:
Liandrin is almost cartoonishly evil right off the bat and honestly good for her
So they're making Egwene ta'veren too, it is understandable but how Moiraine knows about it at all?
Oh wow holy shit those are not mountains those are skyscrapers
So this is where the British (?) accent strikes, I had to turn on the subtitles already, even though usually I don't have a problem with this
Cute chickens!!
Lan's introduction is like a scene out of a western, it's so funny
They are having a staredown but the door is wide open, someone please close it is still raining oh my god
I refuse to say anything about Perrin's wife
I also refuse to say anything about character assassination of Abell and Natti Cauthon. That's just painful to watch
Randgwene is so weird
As is this bathing scene. Why?
They are really trying to hint it's Egwene, I think it's going to piss off so many people both now (those I couldn't care less about tho) and down the line (and those might start a discourse, ugh)
Oh, another scene out of a western!
Rand has the best places for brooding.
Rand and Egwene can talk like normal human beings, the couple of years they aged them up by really shows
Nynaeve my beloved!!!!!
There is a reason no one can remember their previous lives. Yeah
Tam I love you. Show I know what you did and I am crying right now
I also love how they changed Bel Tine. A festival like this makes perfect sense in this world
I take back my decision not to talk about Laila. I actively hate what the screenwriters did there
Channeling looks mostly just weird, I'm not sure if I like it (no I'm sure. i don't.)
No, please not Moiraine infodumping. It's not only out of character but also out of place rn. The sudden monologuing is spoiling my impression of the whole episode
It really does feel like maybe 10 minutes of the episode are just missing here at the end
#it took me like two hours to watch this episode like this#maybe i should just watch the rest#wheel of time#the wheel of time#wot on prime#wot on prime spoilers#wot liveblog#dasha watches wot#dasha speaks
