Unpopular opinion incoming: ...Why do NaruHina fans even like The Last?

Unironically, I really want to know why, because, I am a huge NaruHina shipper myself, and even still, this movie never fails to aggrevate me in the worst way possible, even now, not even getting angry or anything, but... I just feel empty. I feel nothing. Not even the kiss made it worth, and I am HUGE sucker for sappy romances from time to time. Hell, I am a romance author, as a hobby. But this movie, it legit felt like, I just wasted my freaking time. That's a far worse sensation than getting mad, because, I just got nothing smart to say about it.

So, let me get this straight, and I am pretty sure, I am speaking of behalf of anyone that even remotely supports these two as one: The series NEVER making Naruto acknowledge Hinata's confession, was just damned moronic, even from a writing standpoint, because, yeah, in Japanese, it can mean two different things when you say "I love you", I know that, it might just mean "I love you as a teammate", but honestly, considering that NaruHina, by this point, was always meant, even according to Kishimoto, in hindsight, not acknowledging this moment for years to come, until the movie had to speak up about it: You lost the plot. If it was always meant to happen, why did you write it in a way as if Naruto straight up ignored everything she said?

And listen, I know, Naruto is a really delayed mofo, but the movie tried to paint it as if, "Naruto is a dense idiot, who isn't in touch with his own feelings, so you have to put him in a Genjutsu to """see the depths of her feelings for him"""", but honestly, to me, this just felt like a really convenient excuse to just regress Naruto as a person, just so the ship can happen, essentially, "guilt-tripping" him into going, "Ohhh, Hinata always had feelings for me, I didn't notice, even though she risked her life". Again, again, again, none of the events would even bother me so much, if it weren't for the undeniable fact: Somehow, during Shippuden, they tried to make it seem "ambigious", by not addressing her confession, EVER. Like, almost as if, Sakura was meant to be "the final option, because of Kushina", but it was clearly bullshit, and the movie wasn't subtle on that front either. But then, WHY WASN'T IT BROUGHT UP? WHY DID NARUTO NOT SAY ANYTHING?

And before any of you stupid motherfuckers are going to accuse me of being a "closeted NaruSaku shipper", I am not. These two simply wouldn't have ever worked out in the long run, for one thing, because I am not a fan of this trope, of the girl always needing to use violence, on an already traumatized individual (not to mention, that being played for laughs, which also rubs me the wrong way, especially in regards to comic relief characters), and him just going with it, which, by the way, isn't very realistic at all, as to why Naruto never got cross with Sakura at one point or another (one can of worms, I want to talk about some other time), and secondly, c'mon now, look at these two. They are more siblings than anything. As if, two different halves and shades of Kushina live inside the two of them, individually.

Not to mention, why are you NaruHina fans so comfortable with pardoning bad writing, brushing it off as if it's "deeper than you think"? Because, I just can't see it any other way, both Naruto and Hinata were frankly OOC in this movie, considering, this is all supposed to take place after the war. I can forgive Naruto being an idiot, who is slow on the draw, but straight up going "he is just dense", is frankly retarded, considering, we are talking about the equivalent to ninja Jesus Christ with him here, who basically loves everyone like family (safe for the villains), but then comes Hinata, he confesses first, but somehow "he is dense"? Why do we even need a fucking Genjutsu for all this? Doesn't he remember a person he truly loved like her, of ALL people? So we are left with having to rely on made-up flashbacks, which never even happened in the original series (only in Shippuden, late-game), and a contrived plot device, that comes in the name of "Otsutsuki"?

On that note, I really do not like what this movie did with Hinata. Look, "Toneri was messing with her chakra", even if that were true, it doesn't change anything, because it's still an excuse to make her another damsel in distress for Naruto to save. I get it, Hinata is not like Naruto in that, she bears his battle attributes, but sheesh, man, are you really fine with regressing her back to the Genin, who can't even run down walls to save her life? This is a mess, I really cannot approve of this, Hinata is way stronger than that, and we all know it, this just isn't acceptable to me. I want my couple dynamic to be evenly distributed to feel absolutely comfortable.

And this is acceptable to you all? I call it, for what it is: Terrible writing. Stitched together with convenient excuses, just to have the ship happen somehow, in an artificial way, despite having criminal lack of shared screentime together, non-canon content excluded, by the way (I am sorry, I have to be consistent here).

With all this knowledge, the movie comes off as a truly cringeworthy attempt to try appeasing to us, who love these two together. The sappy music, the "larger-than-life" presentation, the overt reliance on spectacle, rather than substance, is just making this experience even worse for me.

P.S.: This is just my silly, personal opinion, if you love this movie, more power to you. But to me, this is one of those pieces of media that genuinely make me feel miserable.

I’ve seen a lot of people saying NaruSaku would’ve been a better endgame ship and would’ve lived up to Kushina’s words about finding someone like her and that their kids would’ve been stronger, and these are the same people who ship BoruSara, but, like, you wouldn’t have Boruto and Sarada if it wasn’t for NaruHina and SasuSaku.

NaruSaku wouldn't be a good couple and their kids wouldn't even rival NaruHina's kids' strength. here's why:

Sakura's kids are always weak (yes, I'm starting with this first so I can get it out of the way):

the only thing Sakura can really pass on is her strength, as we see Sarada using it quite often. But her chakra control and Medical Ninjutsu can't, which makes Sarada look pathetic in eyes of some fans for not being able to achieve Medical Ninjutsu even tho her mom's one of the greatest (at this point, Wasabi or Mitsuki might unlock the Byakugo Seal because they're the best at it) Sakura has no Kekkei Genkai and we've never seen her use Ninjutsu (I know she has the chakra natures for it, but never actually uses it). so she can't really pass on something that she doesn't have or never uses.

2. Kushina's words:

Kushina's words were never about finding someone like her (personality wise), but like her (deep down).

people say Hinata wasn't fit to be with Naruto 'cause she wasn't like Kushina, but those people were thinking personality wise.

in reality, Sakura was the first person to come his way, because he only liked her because she was cute. she was literally introduced that way.

Kushina never wanted Naruto to marry someone who has the same personality as her, but someone who is like her. literally, all Sakura and Kushina have in common is their hair colors are different from normal shinobis, they were picked on for their insecurities, and they're hot-headed. Hinata, however, has many similarities.

they both care about Naruto

they've protected him with their lives

Hinata was the first person to believe in him after his parents

Hinata was willing to give her own life for Naruto's safety, TWICE, as Kushina did.

Hinata helped him when he needed it the most as did Kushina when he met her for the first time

now we move onto way the ship wouldn’t work itself:

Naruto questioned when Sakura called herself beautiful:

here, Naruto questions Sakura when she calls herself "lovely ninja maiden". if he was so smitten with her, you think he'd question her nickname and not her teaching? yeah, I think so. even if he loved her SO MUCH, he wouldn't questioned, he'd agree.

2. Naruto has never complimented Sakura as a lover should:

in Naruto, not once has Naruto complimented Sakura's appearance. Inari, who barely got to know her and only got to know her for one arc, complimented her as soon as he saw her, yet why not Naruto...? only once he has, but that's when he introduced Sakura. even after their reunion, he said she looked exactly the same.

heck, he even claimed that Haku, a BOY, looked cuter than Sakura.

3. Sakura hits Naruto too much:

Sakura hits Naruto too much. if they had of gotten married, it would be an abusive one (Sakura abusing Naruto). I understand she cares about him and he cares about her, I really do, but there's still A LOT more panels of her hitting him more than her caring about him. but there's a limit of pics a post, and I have much more to add and I don't want Sakura hitting Naruto to take up all the pic space. and not to mention, there's still the anime fillers. I understand that it's supposed to be comic relief, yet there's no need to go that hard. she leaves bruises or bumps on the places she hits, whereas everyone else don't even leave a mark. I understand that it could be because of her being a Medical Ninja and her strength is more than a normal humans, yet she does it too hard, KNOWING it's gonna leave a bump. even Tsunade (who has only hit him at least once) has not left a mark on Naruto and her strength is GREATER than Sakura's. that just shows that she hits him too hard.

and even if they got married, it'll still be an abusive relationship because Sakura hasn't stopped hitting Naruto, even through timeskip. her kids, too, would suffer the abuse of their mother and fear for their lives.

4. they don’t understand each other on a deeper level:

now, Naruto married Hinata because they understand each other on a deeper level than anyone else (other than Shikamaru). she understands his pain and loneliness.

he never understood Sakura's pain and she never made an effort to understand his.

you may argue that because she was his teammate, she'd understand him the most because they went through Hell together. but the only people who understand Naruto on a deep deep level is Hinata and Shikamaru. not even Sasuke and Gaara (the ones confirmed to be his closest friends other than Shikamaru).

5. Naruto doesn’t except Sakura’s crush on Sasuke in part 1:

in original Naruto, Naruto tried everything to make sure Sakura falls out of love with Sasuke and in love with him. he never got to understand why she loves him or never really understood why he himself loved her. he even tried making her think Sasuke was a jerk by transforming into him.

I feel like if he had of ended up with Sakura and never realized his feelings for Hinata, it would be a loveless marriage and Naruto would've turned out as a spoiled brat, because he "won" his childhood lover.

6. The confession:

finally, the infamous confession that ruined Sakura for most of the fandom. honestly, I didn't think the Sakura hate could get any worst, yet this is just... it ruined Sakura for me.

like, Sakura seems okay with playing with Naruto's feelings. she KNOWS he likes her, Sai even confirmed it with BOTH him and her, yet she's reallly okay with hurting him and playing him for the fool?

not to mention, she KNEW about Hinata's feelings ever since the Pain arc, probably even before that because she's told Naruto that Hinata had been watching him all the way back in part 1, so she probably knew from there. was she really okay with playing with her boy best friend's feelings and betraying one of her best friends? she didn't even bother to check with Hinata about it. if Naruto had of said yes, do you think she would've had the nerve to walk in front of Hinata on Naruto's arm? no.

I don't think Hinata even knows of it. goes to show how little it meant to both Naruto and Sakura since they never bothered to mention it to Naruto's own WIFE.

but yeah, Naruto's head over heels in love with Sakura that he is totally in a loveless marriage with someone he finds weird because the girl he really loved is in a different marriage.

My personal timeline as a multi shipper

Here’s my controversial MHA (I know I know) ship timeline. I see a pattern of simply liking a ship because the two characters had an interesting interaction or exclusive to Izuocha, where Ochako can only likes Izuku. This is in order by timeline. I want to to spread this to show people that you are not hated by 100% of a group of anybody. We are all multi-faceted beings. My ships are based on interesting dynamics not canon-ness thereby superiority. This list is based on a timeline, not my interest.

‘Shipping’ in my case is simply enjoying the characters in a fanart or fa fiction outside of canon which is deemed more than is needed to understand the charcters. Support romantic or otherwise fanart with mainly two characters basically. It doesn’t even mean I see how they would be together in canon. Before bakudeku, I read most of these at the same time. I felt I had to have one ship only at some points too which isn’t true.

Maybe shipping for me is just liking an aspect of a story.

Izuocha. I liked this ship because it seemed like it was going to be obviously canon. I enjoy a lot of canon-ships like NaruHina, KanaTanjiro or just about any of my favorite shoujo and boys love pairings. Also a few spare girls love comics too; cute! I just thought that’s how it was. First friend and supportive and obvious.

Kacchako. I enjoyed their fight in the Sports Festival arc of mha because Katsuki didn’t hold back. I agreed with most of the crowd, he’s /kind of/ insane in how he acts at his point in the series. I fully believed he would go Sasuke or Villain route in this part of the series. I liked that he didn’t treat her differently because she’s a girl despite his intentions. Ochako put up her best fight and found something new in herself that she hadn’t before; the wit and quick thinking to fight back against a super strong unrestrained Enemy. I ended up seeing a BEAUTIFUL fanart of him sitting at a desk and Ochako sitting at a wind that was amazingly rendered. I read a lot of— let’s just say extremely out of pocket fan fiction about this rare pair. I felt insecure about this ship because it got made fun of online. Also Bakugo’s ‘nothing frail about her’ comments in the relationship connection extras. Regardless, interesting, fun, imaginative, unexpected.

KiriBaku. This seems to be the mostly widely /accepted/ ship in my opinion. I feel like it has the most support in the American fandom. Kiri was super popular at the time I joined my hero and I was deep in the weeb-tok era of 2019 through 2021(anyone else miss the “Iwa-Chan, kageyama!/ I know that I’m gonna slaughter dis” sound? And OH the cosplays). MAN I miss it it was so fun and less dodgy than boring-ass takes and blind fighting on twitter. I was a bakudeku hater at this time because I blindly believed the death threats were true. I didn’t hate the ship personally feel deep down but I thought actual death threats would’ve been too far. I often dumped mean and repetitive comments on anti-bakudeku tiktoks. I really enjoyed an actor au where the author switched the moha characters to playing their Japanese voice actors. Baku go/okamoto really wanted to play a canon gay character in the drama they were actors in but Izuku got it first which caused his continued resentment of izuku because he assumed he was not gay. It was really fun and some of the fics were very memorable and wholesome. Good times! At the transition between these two ships the fandom was all happy and the fanfics were funny and Bakugou was being supportive of his friends in his own way at this point.

Bakudeku. The plot twist of the century. But, not really. See, I hated bakudeku mostly because I wanted to fit in with the popular opinion and simple “they hate each other!!”. In order to seem normal and not insane since it was so hated. Again, I already thought bakugo’s character because it humanizes a bully in a realistic way. I usually live for those crazy ass villains anyway; it’s just anime. Death Note??? But obviously, I never would have put Bakugou in Izuku together. Rewatching season 1 that shot was terrible as fuck and heart wrenching and I feel so bad again after watching and I can see why I absolutely hated Katsuki when I watched mha. I can see why people still hate him. Again, I started looking at the fanart out of spite and saw a lot of fanart with one of them looking at the other back and watching them from behind. It’s really true to the series. It is so heart wrenching to watch and read. That’s why I like reading it. I’ve read SOO many fics where either of them die mostly Izuku, because of the suicide comment, but eventually with the event of black whip, mostly Katsuki for obvious reasons. There’s a deep theme of saving and winning and even the horror of death when you love someone so obviously I was captivated. Some fics, and I mean A LOT, basically predicted word for word the hospital scenes. I don’t like ‘I know your secret power’ tropes, but it’s there. There’s just so much between them it’s crazy. The way /The Way You Used To by: edema ruh/ has like the exact hospital scenes that LATER!!!! Happened in the manga… the death, the emotional power-ups, the connection of a separate soulmate ( ‘nother person in your body thing like the vestiges) quirk, PLUS ofa transactions inspired by two heros that canonically seem like they’re about to happen. You’ve got the Volume cover and everything to show for it too. Themes of almost Spider-Man and Gwen???? I rewatched Spider-Man 2 and it’s like huh??? And also Izuku is inspired by spider-man as well? Oh SHIT, is bakugo Izuku’s failed save? I’m gonna be SO FUCKINNG MAD if that happens, but I’m one of those people who enjoys angst a lot at the same time and I will appreciate it. I’m so everything for this ship for this ship platonic friendship or not I may just ship their friendship

TodoIIda. Usually, I don’t find a lot of my ships seeming canon except for this one. I already know that any important relationship or friendship between characters can be shipped but since they aren’t seen interacting on screen much next to the scene where iida saves him instead of going ahead, it really stuck. That must have been Horikoshi’s intention because he came back to them recently like they matter to each other. I JUST remembered the stain arc and how IIda and Shouto’s can relate on wanting revenge. Iida’s motto to help someone anywhere any time relates to Todoroki’s helplessness as a child. They’re important to each other. Friends, family.

Togachako. I didn’t consider this a ‘ship’ per se until recently, but I was obsessed with how Toga wanted become Ochako and the people she loves also how they like the same boy I guess?? Izuku seems oblivious and somehow even unrelated to their relationship even though it started it. There was this one cosplay tiktok with a poppy sound on it and I was OB- SESSED. I told you I love me some crazy simpy villains and Toga is just that. Unexpected was how Ochako starts to focus on her specifically and want to save her. I was NOTTT expecting her to say she was jealous of her smile. I was so sad when Himi said she didn’t want to talk to Chako anymore so I was PUMPED to hear people spreading the misleading togacjako canon on twitter. Toga biromantic/sapphic vampire whose blood-sucking is like kissing, is getting blood from ochsko for the rest of her life. I don’t know if toga really cares anymore. I also enjoy their possible relationship to Yuki-onna. Would love if something came out of them in canon, though I just realized toga explicated said she wanted to go out with Izuku so why can’t she do it for ochako?

dabihawks. I was SO confused why people shipped this when they barely showed their interactions. I only realized when a mostly canon style fan manga dubbed did a dabihawks comic. I then realized they are are almost the same childhood reflections of each other, neglected, abused by their parents

As an end note, I learned that every ship dynamic has to be romantic, but usually it is because of recent fan culture. I’m 15 but I know a lot about older fandom because I was an avid Kaichou Wa Maid Sama fan and used the less popular fan fiction.net. People are a lot nicer on fanfixtion sites than on social media sites, I’ve learned also older fandoms didn’t get massively hated on like MHA does. There’s just more people in the world who watch now. Remember to be yourself because there’s always someone feeling just like you out there, I promise. Chaio;3

I like when you explore dark themes and different tropes/au with naruhina. I don’t see a lot of nh fics like it. Naruhinas are either very fluffy or very angsty. I think your fics are both. It’s balanced. It’s intriguing. I like fics that makes me go through different emotions. Your fics does that to me. I try to find more like it when I’m in the mood for it but there’s not a lot of dark nh fics. I think that’s why I get so excited whenever I see you either update an existing fic or give us a whole new one. I like it. I like your writing. Thank you

It rly wasn't too long ago that I thought I was incapable of balance because of a fic like "Territorial" turning out vastly different from the fan comic I attempted back in 2010. Like, if I just let the characters go, shit would turn into School Days real quick. 😭 I'm ridiculously happy and relieved that my stuff is balanced. 🥹💖 Now if I could just friggin' calcify my funny bone or some shit, I'd be well on my way. 😂

SasSaku being popular is one of the biggest lies for a ship to be popular the both characters that are being shipped with have to be popular as well and it's Sasuke that carries that ship not Sakura. Hell I would argue without NaruHina it would not have the popularity that it has. SasSaku is a leech on NaruHina. Why do you think most FanFictions that have SasSaku as the primary ship NaruHina is almost always the secondary ship? SasSaku is not popular on its own if it truly was there would have been a movie about them already.

Majority of FanFictions with SasSaku literally make Sasuke out of character in order to make the ship work because on its own even people who are fans I use that in quotations knows the ship sucks so they have to write both characters out of character in order to make it work. Didn't I mention that majority of those fanfictions are uninspired as fuck? There is no creativity in that community it's almost non-existent they Leach off other people's ships NaruHina being the biggest.

NaruHina doesn't need to leech off other ships for it to be popular it's naturally popular on its own and it's popularity grew organically. The longest running fanfiction call the NaruHina Chronicles the longest running fan comic based off an existing property is proof that the ship can stand on its own despite the fan comic running for well over a decade at this point.

SasSaku fans should be grateful because without NaruHina SasSaku would be as popular as a crack ship it cannot stand on its own and never has it never will.

So true SasuSaku isn't popular and the ship itself only gets by due to latching on to NaruHina. Its not even Sasuke that carries the ship any true Sasuke fan hates Sakura and SasuSaku. That's how you know its not popular cause Sasuke is one of the most popular characters, but his fans mostly hate Sakura and pairing her with Sakura. On the other hand the majority of Naruto fans like Hinata and ship him with her.

NaruHina has always been a stand alone ship, SasuSaku relies on the publicity that comes with being the canon ship of one of the two main characters, it only gets some spotlight alongside NaruHina as they are the main couples of the series due to Naruto and Sasuke being main characters.

Following up from my last Bleach post, I wanted to talk about the Ulquiorra vs Ichigo fight a bit more. (I'm talking to the oblivion of course, because who even reads long posts).

Here, I'm mostly gonna compare Pein arc with Ulquiorra segment. I'm gonna circle around these two a lot, so try to keep up. 🐒

Buckle up, it's a long post.

So, I'm a big fan of Naruto (no shit) and my genuine criticism for Kishimoto (apart from blatant misogyny and poor writing for women characters) is that he is very traditional in his approach. Whether it's marriage or treatment of side characters, it's a bit rushed because of excessive spotlight on the main character's plot. It's great for the plot unity but leaves you with a bad aftertaste.

On the other hand, Bleach is not too tight on the main character (so far. I'm at 274 episode) but the side characters are simply brilliant. And if I remember correctly, the writer refused to run popularity polls for his characters because he found it disrespectful (bombastic side eye 👀 to Kishi). If you've watched the show, it's also very obvious. "Weak characters" are never sidelined or disrespected. Even the characters that are written for mere comic relief, easily participate in the big fight (cue: Nel's friends).

Pein arc

So naturally when Hinata stepped in Naruto's fight, it felt too sudden. I remember many people even blamed her for it. If it served a romantic purpose, it was too weak in connection because Kishi kept the limelight tightly on Naruto (I'm a Naruhina stan but I have personal opinions).

At the end of it, it was a metaphor. If you'll lose loved ones, won't you rage?

It's great, but again, Hinata was so under utilized here. Not to mention COMPLETELY forgotten right after. She literally appears like a plot device and goes back once she's served her purpose.

There is a minor undercurrent where we get to hear how she overcame her struggles because of Naruto. But because it ends and starts with Naruto, she's once again sidelined in her own backstory (which is evidently the only moment side characters earn space for themselves).

Ulquiorra Fight

I think this was written after Pein arc, and it carries a certain inspiration from its predecessor. But it is a hundred percent better.

There, I said it.

Like Hinata, Orihime is also a metaphor. She represents the heart against Ulquiorra's emptiness (which is literally mentioned in aftermath).

BUT This has nothing to do with Ichigo. Rather, this is between Ichigo and Orihime.

I've read tokai2000's Naruto Doujin Alternative The Last which replaces the Naruhina moments with Narusaku moments and I must say that I love this fan comic, and while it's not finished yet, the author said that he'll end it with Naruto getting together with Sakura and Sasuke getting together with Karin, which makes me love this comic even more. I also would like to say that I'm looking forward to Shinachiku Kosen and when it comes out, I'll be following it and liking it immensely. All hail NS!

Just yesterday I saw NaruHina fans mocked SasuSaku fans who gloated because of Sasuke Retsuden manga adaptation, saying that it's not illustrated by Kishimoto and as they thought Kishimoto loathes to draw SasuSaku, since SasuSaku is the only pairing that didn't show up in Book of Lightning, (Akamaru story spin-off that was written and illustrated by Kishimoto). Since they implied that NaruHina appeared on the comic, I tried to give a look but unlike ShikaTema, SaiIno, and even ChoKarui whom we can see their happy face when they're talking with their spouse, NaruHina only show their back and Naruto barely looks like Naruto. There are no smile or a face at all, and compared to other couple NaruHina has the most distance with each other. I guess that NaruHina fans should realize that Kishimoto hates drawing NaruHina as well 😂😂😂

We really didn't need to go to Book of Lightning, Anon. Kishi never liked that ship and he will never draw anything for them. Even if he draw something, he would make it into something vulgar. He showed his distaste in Volume 64 cover page itself.

Look at our Hero and our best 'Heroine'.... They are sharing glances... They are holding hands. Romance overflowing from their eyes. I guess every NH peeps will have this poster hanged in their Room. ****Only under the condition of removing the Background Picture****

In the Poster, we saw Naruto was holding Hinata's hands... But even that comforting moment was screwed by this Idiotic Author by turning it into a thirsty moment at the expense of Neji's corse.

You are stuck at Sakura part 1 while everyone moved on. You’re too focused on Sakura’s flaws when a true Naruto fan understands her. Kishimoto said that Sakura reflects a person’s traits in real life. The reality. The true nature of a human being. You saying she is trash basically translates you’re stuck in a delusion of perfect hinata. You ignored everything good involving Sakura and focused on her flaws, her strong personality is her strength. Or maybe you feel inferior when someone shows a strong personality. Inferiority complex? You turned a blind eye when it came to her saving and protecting Naruto and tried to argue that it was all for Sasuke only. When clearly Hinata’s the one who only focuses on one guy and practically ignores everyone. Almost in every panel she appears she could only say, “N-Naruto-kun”.

In the war arc where poor Neji died (he didn’t deserve to die for the sake of NaruHina), his corpse was lying in front of Naruto and Hinata and the girl had the time to think about Naruto’s big and strong hand. *cough cough* …that's screwed…

Since they were young Hinata follows Naruto almost everywhere, hiding and just watched😁 She never really knew Naruto because she didn't have the nerve to talk to him. She was in love with the idea of him. When she gathered up the courage to approach him, this was regarded as friendly by Naruto. Not romantic. She in love with the idea of him and his kindness towards her because no one else did these things for her before.

Again you keep on underestimating Naruto’s ability to love like other Hinatard. Because he didn’t receive love first hand? Are you disregarding Iruka? Mr. Jiraiya? And any other characters who showed him what love truly meant? He truly loved Sakura but couldn't confess because he felt unworthy because of the promise. It was said in the manga chapter 457-549. Then was confronted by Sai which led to her "fake" confession even if it meant Naruto hating her afterwards. Overall, Naruto feels unworthy of Sakura's love because he couldn't fulfill his promise to her and Sakura feels unworthy of his love because she knows she hurt his feelings and was clueless about how much of a burden the promise of a lifetime really is. Sakura wanted to lessen the burden and carry it all to herself. All for Naruto.

Don't get me started with the fight against Orochimaru when Naruto turned into 4 tails because of Sasuke. Sakura knew this was hurting him and chose to charge at him even though she absolutely knew that she was going to get hurt. All for Naruto.

Sakura has this habit of blaming herself once in a while because she knows her mistakes. She’s perfectly  aware of how she treated Naruto back in the genin days. But did she deserve all the hate? No. The problem with some people is once they see something wrong, they refuse to see the improvement of that person. Close-minded I should say. The important thing is she learned and she was just a child. Gosh the repetition and the ignorance of Hinatards. What I was pointing out was that in order to save Naruto’s life, Sakura contributes by offering her skills which are her medic skills. If it was not because of her determination to keep him alive, Naruto would be long gone. Did you not understand that? That’s your problem.

We love Sakura because she’s grown from her fangirl self to a selfless woman. She’s strong. The strongest kunoichi in konoha rather. She’s kind and funny. Always straightforward. She used to be weak but her fierce determination made her the admirable woman that she is today. Sakura’s willing to accept the hate if it means of protecting both of her teammates.

You’re annoyed at young and teen Sakura and I’m annoyed at young, teen and adult Hinata. Suck it up.
