Jean-de-Dieu Soult Tribute :D

This has been my same laptop wallpaper for almost four years. I put it up on the first year of college and now I’ll be graduating soon. I actually put it up for encouragement and a reminder of a lesson from a specific part in Soult’s life, but on later reading I found out that part is pretty much a myth💀

Over almost four years, about 8 people mistook him for Napoleon. 1 person mistook him for Eisenhower. 1 person called him ugly💀, no one called him handsome. 2 people commented on how hard he was pouting. 3 people commented that he had a funny bowlcut.

And also 1 person asked me who would win in a brawl, him or Freddy Fazbear. I said Soult lol

Anyways, I drew a little tribute for him (also for my art class final). Thank you Marshal Soult for being a symbol of encouragement to me, even if it was a myth in the end

Happy, happy, very cute day!

After keeping “Josephine” in her container and letting she and one of my Napoleons acclimate to one another’s company, I released her and… they get along fabulously!

Is this safe? Yes! I introduced them very slowly. Plus, Josephines and Napoleons can’t reproduce, so there’s no need to worry about any derelict breeding.

Also “Josephines” and Napoleons can’t breed either. I admit it, this isn’t a Josephine. Or rather, she’s no more a Josephine than your chihuahua is a wolf. It’s the same family, but her species has been selectively bred so much that they are more their own thing than a Josephine. I was worried my Napoleon would care…

But he doesn’t! He’s just happy to have a Josephine friend! Look, he’s already taken to sitting on her lap:

I think these two are going to have a long relatively happy relationship together, so long as it is convenient for my napoleon!

Finally...someone on this platform with taste... You should be able to find them quite easily with a quick search on book archive websites (Internet Archives, Project Gutenberg, etc. etc...) or order them with your local libraries if you're that committed. Here are some I've been meaning to get around to reading:

- The Life and Campaigns of Field-Marshal Prince Blücher (The definitive Blücher Bible, everyone say "thank you Gneisenau") - Blücher: Scourge Of Napoleon (Usual jazz + has a bunch of details about his life post-Waterloo) - Blücher And The Uprising Of Prussia Against Napoleon (Contextualises Blücher during the French occupation of Prussia) - Memoirs of Prince Blücher (Had tidbits in the first three chapters but is technically about the fourth prince of Wahlstatt-- a treat for the WWI girlies if you will...) - And this RPF novel that features a bunch of other figures from that period
