Okay, so, like Steve was choked out in season 4, but so were Robin, Nancy, and Eddie. . .so, wouldn't they all have the scars around the neck? I mean, I've only ever seen Steve being drawn with the scar. Wouldn't all four have it? Also, Nancy, at one point, had a bat on her back. What if she had a bite and didn't tell anyone? Also, the same is true with Robin. What if all four are connected by these scars and by these bites? Of course, Robin is still being platonic with both Eddie and Steve, but there's something there with Nancy. Nancy and Steve still have something that they can't let go of, but they also like Eddie and Robin. Robin and Eddie like them. Of course, with the fact that their minds were connected, it was hard to hide their attraction. Maybe later in season 5, Vickie gets bitten, her mind joining their collective. Just because I love the idea of Robin, Vickie, and Nancy. Things do get a little tense until they figure out how to block each other, but I do like the idea that they make chirping noises when they communicate. Just some thoughts I wanted to share.

Rovickie headcanons?
omg yes
robin is the big spoon fs
this is more of a theory but i think vickie will fs make the first move
vickie really likes riot grrl music and whenever she has the money she takes robin to concerts
(modern day) robin, vickie, johnathan, nancy, and steve have a group chat called “and steve” based of the song “you me and steve” (it was steve’s idea since he’s the only single one ) but robin and vickie started the group chat
robin would put vickie’s name on her shoes, and they would also have matching hearts on their shoes
ok that’s it lol

The Curse of Nancy Wheeler
A Ronickie fanfiction

18+ MINORS DNI
Nancy really wanted to hate Vickie, who flirted with Robin constantly, but it was hard not to like her. She was sweet and cute. . .it was like hating sunshine. It wasn't possible. Just like Robin, she also rambled, and Nancy was glad that Robin had someone who understood her so well, but she wished Robin would look at her like that.
"Are we wearing the same shirt?" A voice interrupted her thoughts.
Nancy blinked and looked up from her folding. Vickie was standing next to her now. Was she that she lost in her thoughts?
"Yeah, I think so. Different colors, though," Nancy said and smiled, trying to make it seem less forceful.
"I prefer blue to pink, but I love pink, too," Vickie said. "Purple, too, but I think blue makes my eyes pop and goes better with my hair."
"I prefer pink to blue, but I love blue, too. . .any pastel colors, really," Nancy said.
"Me, too," Vickie said. "Although, dark blue. . ."
"Yeah, I like the way it makes my eyes pop, too," Nancy giggled.
Vickie smiled at her, and Nancy thought that it was a nice smile. She looked really pretty, Nancy thought. Jealousy boiled in her stomach, and she tore her eyes away from Vickie.
"Do you hate me?" Vickie blurted out.
"What?" Nancy asked with wide eyes, her head snapping up to look at her. "Why would - ?"
"I can tell when people are uncomfortable with me or annoyed by my presence. . .well, sometimes. They don't like that I talk a lot and my personality can be a little. . .bubbly for their liking," Vickie said as she began helping Nancy.
"I'm not - that's not it. There's nothing wrong with your personality," Nancy said.
"But you don't like me," Vickie said.
"I don't hate you. I like you - it's just complicated, and it's a really difficult time," Nancy said. "And I know these past few months have been hard for everyone. I'm just trying to help them."
"It's just that Robin talks about you all the time, and I just want to get to know the other woman who's captivated her so much," Vickie said.
"Robin talks about me?" Nancy asked, dropping the sweater she had been folding.
"Yeah, of course she does. Non-stop, actually. She says you're her hero, although she didn't say how," Vickie said. "She says you're kind and lovely once you get past the hard shell you put on to protect yourself, which makes sense considering. . .everyone heard about what happened to Barbara, then you lost Fred, too. I think that would make anyone hard. . .I'm sorry, if someone doesn't tell me to shut up, I just keep talking."
"It's fine," Nancy said, bitterly.
It just reminded her that she was cursed and that Robin was better off with Vickie.
"I swear, I didn't mean to upset you. I put my foot in my mouth all the time. I want to help people, too. It's why I dumped Dan - he cared more about his ruined spring break than the people who died. He didn't understand why I wanted to help. He was such an asshole. I mean, I also broke up with him because I was totally falling for Robin," Vickie sighed and lowered her voice. "Maybe I'm a little desperate, but I just know how much you mean to Robin, you and Steve. . .I just want you to be important to me too, if you want."
"I'm not the best at making friends or letting people get close to me for many reasons," Nancy said.
"Neither am I," Vickie said. "A lot of people can't handle me."
"They say that about me, too," Nancy said. "For different reasons, though. I'm the opposite. . .not like the sunshine that seems to come pouring out of every - I'm sorry, that was rude."
"You were going to say orifice, weren't you?" Vickie asked in amusement. "It's okay, it's true."
"Once upon a time, I used to be like you. . .well, not exactly like you. I don't think there's anyone quite like you," Nancy sighed. "Shit happens. . .my friends died, and there were only so many relationships I could handle."
"I get that," Vickie said. "Do you think you handle one more right now?"
"You seriously want to be my friend?" Nancy asked.
"People have a hard time taking me seriously, sometimes, but I'm rather serious about this, Nancy," Vickie said.
"I wouldn't call you desperate. . .determined, however," Nancy smirked. "I like determined and people who dump their shitty boyfriends in order to help people. . .I was in a similar situation once. Except my boyfriend was fantastic. . .it was just a shitty situation, and I wanted to do everything to get justice for my friend."
"We're different. . .yet, not so different," Vickie asked.
"Pretty much how people work, I think," Nancy laughed.
"What else can we do here?" Vickie asked.
"I have more clothes in my car," Nancy said. "Do you want to help me bring them in?"
"I would love to," Vickie beamed.
"You really mean that," Nancy said with a raised eyebrow.
"Of course!" Vickie exclaimed.
Nancy smiled and let Vickie chatter away as they walked through the gym. Yeah, she made it really difficult.
"How could anyone not like you?" Nancy blurted out.
"Quite a lot of people, actually," Vickie said.
"They're all idiots. Every single one of them," Nancy replied.
"What's your favorite movie?" Vickie asked.
"Ooh. That's difficult. . .anything with Tom Cruise is a must," Nancy said.
"Yes! You're a Tom Cruise fan, I knew it!" Vickie exclaimed as they walked out the front doors. "Robin doesn't understand my fascination with him."
"She just doesn't get it," Nancy said, shaking her head.
"It's the hair," Vickie said.
"And the smile," Nancy replied.
"And the tight pants," Vickie said, nodding.
"It's what drew me to Steve in the first place," Nancy said. "And his energy. . ."
"I believe everyone had a crush on Steve Harrington at one point, even I did," Vickie said.
"Except Robin," Nancy pointed out.
"Except Robin," Vickie giggled.
Nancy paused with Vickie as they looked up in the sky together. It was still hard to see Hawkins like this with the particles from the Upside Down floating in the air.
"It's strange, isn't it?" Nancy asked, mostly to herself.
"It's been months. . .shouldn't the ash from the earthquake have cleared up by now?" Vickie asked.
Nancy glanced over at her and wondered how Robin managed to keep her partner in the dark. She wasn't sure if she could do it.
"I'm sure it will go away soon," Nancy replied.
Vickie looked at her and smiled. Suddenly, Nancy wished she could tell her everything. She led Vickie to her car and popped open the trunk. Vickie grabbed a box just as Nancy did the same. Vickie hissed as she lifted it, and she set it back down again.
"What?" Nancy asked. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I cut my finger earlier, and I think I just reopened the wound. It's bleeding again," Vickie said.
Nancy put the box down and took Vickie's hand in hers. It wasn't too bad.
"Here, let me," Nancy said and pulled out a handkerchief.
She wrapped Vickie's finger with it in order to stop the bleeding. Vickie smiled gratefully at her.
"You know - ," Vickie started to say.
What happened next was a surprise to Nancy. They had all expected things to come flying out of the gate the minute it opened, but they hadn't seen any sign of them yet. Until now. Nancy recognized the familiar growl of the demogorgon.
"Oh, no," Nancy said and turned around.
The demogorgon was on the other side of the parking lot, but Nancy knew that it could cross it in seconds to get to them. . .to get to Vickie. Nancy pressed her back up against Vickie, shielding her. The demogorgon would get to them before they get in the car, let alone head for the school. Nancy quickly grabbed the extra hairspray that she kept in the back of her car and pulled a lighter out of her pocket.
"What the hell is that?" Vickie whispered.
"Vickie, when I tell you to, I need you to run," Nancy said.
"What? I'm not leaving you here - " she protested.
"Go," she hissed and pulled the bloody handkerchief away from her.
She pushed Vickie, and Vickie started running towards the door. The demogorgon had locked onto her until Nancy had screamed, waving the handkerchief in the air. Now, the demogorgon was locked onto Nancy. Vickie slipped into the school just as the demogorgon started running. When it got close, Nancy tossed the handkerchief in the air for it to catch it. Just as it was about to clamp down on it, Nancy lit the handkerchief on fire as well as the demogorgon when its mouth closed around the flaming handkerchief. It screamed, clawing at its throat. Nancy clicked the lighter and sprayed the thing with fire again. She ran towards the door as the creature raged. It ran after her, still on fire, and just as she made it halfway inside, its clawed hand grabbed at her ankle. Nancy screamed. Suddenly, there was a glint of silver, and something sharp had swung down on the demogorgon's hand, cutting it off. It was an axe. Nancy looked up to find Vickie standing there, looking furious and quite frankly, beautiful. The demogorgon screamed and ran off, unable to take any more of this.
"Vickie," Nancy breathed.
Vickie shut the doors tightly and moved Nancy away from them.
"I wasn't abandoning you, I went to get this," she replied and helped Nancy up off the floor. "What the hell was that?"
"A demogorgon," Nancy said.
"Like from D&D?" She asked.
"Let me explain. . ."
Nancy pulled her into an empty classroom and set her down. She told her everything about what had happened over the years. She left some parts out from Starcourt, figuring that Robin should probably tell her about that. Although, she probably should have been the one to tell her all of it. . .but looking into Vickie's eyes and seeing how scared she was. . .how clueless she was about all of this. There was no way to deny it now, and to try to do it would be a disservice to Vickie.
"I mean, I knew that it couldn't have been just a massive chemical spill from the lab that quarantined an entire town for months," Vickie sniffled. "It just didn't add up."
"I know it's a lot to process," Nancy said.
"I knew that befriending you would be difficult, but I didn't think it would involve fighting a creature from an alternate dimension," Vickie said.
Nancy laughed, and God, she wanted to kiss her. Oh. . .she wanted to kiss her. Shit. She looked at Vickie, who was trembling and on the urge of crying. She was trying to be okay with this.
"Come here," she said.
Nancy pulled Vickie into her arms and hugged her tightly. Vickie relaxed for a moment before clinging to Nancy and wheeping, the adrenaline fading away. Now, there was only the fear. The door to the classroom opened, and Robin entered, closing it behind her.
"There you! I've been looking all over for you. Wheeler, are you trying to steal - ," Robin interrupted herself when she saw Vickie's face. "Babe?"
"We almost got eaten by a demogorgon!" Vickie exclaimed, throwing herself into Robin's arms.
"What the hell?" Robin asked.
"It came out of nowhere. Vickie cut her finger. . .I had to tell her, but she fought well. She saved my life," Nancy said.
"She saved mine first," Vickie said.
"Thank you," Robin said to Nancy and then turned back to Vickie.
Robin captured Vickie's lips in an eager kiss, and Nancy ducked her head. She wasn't sure who she was jealous of. She wondered if this was how Steve felt when she got together with Jonathan. Nancy rolled her eyes. Not only is a Karma a bitch, but she thinks she's a funny one, too. Nancy seriously had to go and develop a crush on both of them?
"I want to help," Vickie said when they broke the kiss.
"Are you sure?" Robin asked.
"This is my home, Robin, I want to keep it safe. I want to keep you safe," Vickie said. "Besides, it's not like we can go anywhere. Might as well do something about it."
"She's really something, isn't she?" Robin said fondly.
"Yeah, she is," Nancy said, smiling. "You're lucky to have each other."
Over the next few weeks, Nancy helped Robin with Vickie joining the group. For a while, it was just the three of them. It was nice, and Nancy really couldn't believe that she once thought of Vickie like the enemy or that she was too much like Robin. The only thing they really had in common was the fact that they rambled, marching band, and the respect they had for their differences. Robin was into old romance movies, while Vickie was into movies like Fast Times, Risky Business, and Animal House. Vickie, like Nancy, was a fan of Molly Ringwald. Nancy loved it when she dressed like her. Nancy was happy to learn that she had things in common with Robin, too. Robin didn't make fun of her when she told her that she loved romance novels, the trashier the better. Robin had agreed! Robin loved them as well. Even though she wasn't attracted to men, she was curious what women wanted from men. The conversations ranged from the unserious to the serious, debating the expectations of men and women as well as their perceptions of one another. That debate had gotten rather heated, but it had been fun.
"So. . .you like Vickie, huh?" Robin asked.
Nancy's head snapped up, and she looked at Robin with wide eyes.
"No!" Nancy said quickly.
"No?" Robin asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I mean, yes, I'm sorry. I thought you said something else," Nancy said, blushing.
They were sitting by Max's bed, waiting for the others to come back. Vickie was with Jonathan and Argyle for once. Steve was with the kids again, and El was with her parents. Nancy and Robin both volunteered to help at the hospital to look over Max because someone had to. Her mother sure wasn't. Just recently, Vickie started to help out as well. Robin had refused to wear the candy striper outfit as they looked horrible on her and made her uncomfortable, so she was given scrubs.
"So, you do like Vickie?" Robin asked.
"Yeah, she's great!" Nancy exclaimed. "I can see why you like her."
"I don't know, for some reason I felt like you two wouldn't get along," Robin said. "It just didn't seem like you really liked Vickie before."
"I was just being grumpy," Nancy said and decided to be partially truthful with her. "I have a hard time being friendly with anyone when both of my friends were killed. I miss Barb every day, and I miss Fred just the same. . .they didn't deserve this."
"I'm sorry," Robin said softly. "I can't even begin to imagine. I don't know what I'd do if I lost Steve, and you lost TWO friends. Two of them."
"I just feel cursed, like I don't deserve anyone or anything," Nancy said with tears in her eyes.
"If anyone deserves happiness, it's you, Nancy Wheeler," Robin said and paused. "I have to ask, and you can totally hit me for it, but is that what happened with you and Steve?"
"I mean, kind of. Too much has happened, and I'll always love him, but I just don't know how to make it work with him. There's nothing he can do either," Nancy sighed. "I mean, that doesn't mean that we're not going to meet up once a year to have cathartic sex."
"Okay, I could have lived without knowing that," Robin said, and Nancy laughed. "But hey, if that's what you need to do, then I respect the hell out of it."
"I just don't think I can give up having sex with Steve or Jonathan," Nancy said.
"A yearly thing with both of them then?" Robin asked.
"Yeah. . .I don't know, maybe it's selfish," Nancy said.
"You deserve to get whatever you want, and if anyone deserves to be selfish, it's you. . .hell, it's all of us," Robin said. "We've all sacrificed so much. . .if you need a yearly naked hug from a couple of your exes. . .then get that. You know, as long as they're okay with it and you've discussed it instead of letting it fester then why the hell not?"
Nancy thought about it. She and Steve had spent time together beneath the sheets. They whispered I love you and talked about the what ifs. . .if Barb hadn't died. . .if that guilt wasn't a constant reminder, then yeah, Nancy would have had a different future with Steve. She hopefully has a future with him still. . .maybe not the way he imagined or that she used to, but something still wonderful. She remembered talking about Robin and the guilt she had over her feelings for her. Steve had laughed and hit her with the pillow. Of course, he wasn't mad. He could never stay mad at her even when she fucked up. . .however, her falling for Robin wasn't a fuck up, Steve had told her. There was nothing to forgive. She should really stop underestimating Steve. He was emotionally more intelligent than most of them, although not perfect either.
"We're good," Nancy smiled.
"You two really aren't seeing each other," Robin said.
"No," she said, shaking her head.
"Damn it. . .I know he's seeing someone," Robin said, frowning.
"He hasn't told you?" Nancy asked.
"No! Wait. . .do you know?" Robin asked.
"I don't want to spoil the surprise," Nancy said.
"You don't know," Robin said, narrowing her eyes at Nancy. "You're full of shit, Nancy Wheeler."
Nancy laughed, and then she stopped, glancing at Max's still form. This didn't feel right, laughing in front of her when she couldn't enjoy the hold that Nancy was having over Robin. There it was, that old familiar feeling. . .the thing that always clung to her like a second skin. Guilt.
"This isn't right," Nancy said, sniffled. "She should be awake. She should. . .she should be here with Lucas and El. . .with the rest of her party. She's too young to just die like this when she hasn't - when she hasn't really truly lived her life! She spent half her life under the hands of abusive men. . .with a mother who couldn't lift a single hand to save her own daughter."
Nancy was crying, and she was shaking all over. Suddenly, Robin reached over and took her hand.
"I'm scared, too, Nance," Robin whispered.
"I'm being selfish again," Nancy said as she looked into Robin's pretty blue eyes. "I'm thinking about my own life. . .thinking about all the things that I'll never get to do if I die here."
"It's okay to be scared for yourself, too, Nance, just as you're scared for her," she whispered and she paused. "Was it worth it?"
"What?" Nancy asked.
"To risk it all to save her. . .to try and save Eddie?" Robin asked.
"Yeah, it was. . .even if it went wrong. . .we had to try, and I would never regret trying to save their lives. Even if it meant sacrificing my own life to do it. . .even if it meant sacrificing my own career because no matter where I end up, I'm always going to find the truth, and I'd do everything I can to get justice," Nancy said.
"You did everything right, you know, and it still went wrong," Robin said. "It's not your fault."
"Then why does it feel like it is?" Nancy asked.
"Because you care," she said softly.
Nancy let out a heartbreaking sob, and Robin pulled her into arms. Nancy buried her face into the crook of Robin's neck and let her hold her as she cried. It didn't seem to matter much that her future with Emerson was a question mark, that she didn't know who she wanted romantically, all that mattered now was how they were going to make it out alive.
"FUCK! FUCK!" Nancy cursed.
"They're gaining on us!" Vickie screamed.
Weeks later, and they were all still fighting. Demogorgons, demobats, the soldiers, and the towns folk determined to hunt them all down. Meanwhile, Henry's location was yet to be determined. Now, they were after Vickie. . .the demogorgons and the demobats, that is. Vecna was willing to do anything to kill off Will and El's family. . . even the new additions. Poor Argyle nearly got killed. . .now, everyone was fighting for their lives. Vickie and Nancy couldn't even go on a simple supply run without an incident like this. It was just a bunch of demogorgons and bats. . .no one else around to help them.
"I know, I know!" Nancy screamed.
Of course, the car suddenly came to a stop but not before making a weird noise. Nancy cursed and beat on the steering wheel. What the fuck? She tried starting it but it wouldn't budge. . .fuck!
"Nance, we have to run!" Vickie screamed.
Nancy got out of the car and grabbed Vickie, pulling her out. With their hands clasped tightly, they ran through the woods. There was no way that they could outrun the demogorgons, but they had to try. They burst out of the woods. . .oh, Nancy didn't realize how close they were to the quarry. She should have. They did take a lot of turns, however, getting away from them. They had no choice. Nancy ran to the edge and judged the distance. If they were further up the quarry, the fall would kill them but not from this height. . .Nancy hoped, anyway.
"We have to," Nancy looked at Vickie.
"I know," Vickie breathed. "I trust you."
Nancy jumped with Vickie as the sound of the demogorgons catching up with them came closer. She hoped they couldn't swim. She was falling with nothing underneath, and it was disorienting, to say the least. . .then she was in the water. She held her breath before she fell in, and when she submerged, her instincts kicked in. Nancy immediately swam to the surface and gasped for air. It didn't long to realize that Vickie was missing. Shit. It was starting to get dark out and harder to see. . .even harder to see underwater. Nancy sucked in a breath and dove under the water. Yeah, it was definitely hard to see, but Nancy could make out two distinct shapes. One of them was a demogorgon, and one of them was Vickie. The demogorgon had a hold of her leg. Nancy swam, pulling out her pocket knife, and stabbed the demogorgon in the hand. Its face opened up, taking on water, and let go of Vickie. Nancy grabbed Vickie and swam to the surface, leaving the demogorgon to drown. Vickie was unconscious, blood dripping from her forehead. Fuck, when did she hit her head? Nancy got to the water's edge and caught her breath before attempting CPR on Vickie.
"Come on, come on," Nancy cried.
She kept trying. . .kept trying to get her to breathe again, but Nancy was exhausted, and it wasn't working. As hard as she tried, nearly breaking Vickie's ribs in the process, Vickie lay still. Nancy collapsed, beating her fists against the ground and crying.
"I am cursed," Nancy sobbed.
Suddenly, there was a gasping sound coming from Vickie, and then Nancy heard her cough up water.
"Ow," Vickie said.
Nancy looked up and saw that she was sitting up, holding her chest.
"Vickie!"
Nancy surged forward and crashed her lips to Vickie's. She craddled her face in her hands, holding her as she kissed her. Nancy pulled back, smiling gratefully at her.
"Wow," Vickie blinked. "You're really happy that I'm alive."
The smile fell from Nancy's face as she realized what she had done. She pulled away from Vickie.
"We should get back. . .they'll be worried," Nancy said.
"Nancy - ," Vickie started to say.
"We don't want to the demogorgons to hear us," Nancy said. "We should probably try and be as quiet as possible."
She tore off a piece of her shirt and wrapped it around Vickie's bleeding forehead. It was quiet the rest of the walk back to the radio station. Nancy tried not to think about the kiss or the fact that Vickie nearly died in her arms. Instead, she tried to focus on why her car had failed. She thought back to her trip to the gas station and the guy walking away from her car when they left. She had thought he had looked familiar but at the time she couldn't place him. Nancy cursed. He had been one of Jason's friends. . .he had tampered with her car. Fuck.
"Vickie!" Robin yelled as soon as they walked into the radio station and she wrapped her arms around her.
As soon as Nancy explained what happened to everyone, she quickly disappeared to the bathroom and cried.
"Well, that's something else for you to feel guilty about, Wheeler," she said to her reflection, and then she closed her eyes. "She's alive. She's alive. . .nothing else matters."
A couple of days later, Nancy was curled up in bed, trying to wash the stink of what happened off of her. She ignored phone calls that weren't life and death while she pouted under the covers, wondering if she ruined everything with her friends but also thinking about the fact that they almost died. . . Again. There came a knock on her door, and Nancy groaned, throwing the covers over her head.
"Go away, Mom!" Nancy yelled.
"I'm not your mother," Robin's voice came from the foot of her bed.
"Neither am I!" Vickie's voice yelled cheerfully.
Nancy yanked the covers off herself and found them both standing at the end of her bed. Robin pounced onto the bed beside Nancy while Vickie sat at the end, spreading her legs across the bed on Nancy's other side. Robin turned onto her belly, her face inches from Nancy's.
"Why so glum, chum?" Robin asked.
"It's nothing. . ." Nancy mumbled.
"It's not nothing if Nancy Wheeler is lying in bed in her pajamas on a weekday," Vickie said.
"Where is my mother? I need to yell at her," Nancy said.
"She went with your father to escort Holly to the doctor. . .she trusts us to look after you while you're in your. . .whatever state this is," Robin said.
"Shouldn't you be angry with me?" Nancy asked.
"For what?" Robin asked.
"For - do you know?" Nancy asked suddenly.
"OH, she knows," Vickie grinned.
"And you're not mad?" Nancy asked. "You should be mad. . .In fact, you totally have the right to hit me for kissing your girlfriend. . .I deserve it. Go ahead."
Nancy turned on her side to face Robin fully and closed her eyes. Robin chuckled and placed a hand on her hip. It was probably just to hold her steady, Nancy thought. She could feel Robin shift as she lay on her side and her hand slid down to move Nancy's leg over hers, her hand moving to cup her ass. Nancy frowned in confusion. . .what was she - OH! Nancy felt a stinging slap to her buttcheek and her eyes flew open.
"You didn't say where to hit you," Robin said, and Vickie giggled.
"What?" Nancy asked.
"You're a naughty girl, Nance, you didn't tell me that you have feelings for Vickie," Robin said.
"I"m sorry, it just happened," Nancy said.
"Are you really sorry, though? Tell me the truth," Robin said and pulled Nancy closer.
"No. . .no, I'm not," Nancy gasped as Robin's nose brushed up against hers. "I have feelings for you, too. I just didn't know what to do about it."
Vickie came up behind her, resting her cheek against Nancy's, rubbing her shoulder.
"We have feelings for you, too," Vickie whispered and kissed her cheek.
"There's a simple solution here," Robin whispered.
"Let us show us how much we care about you," Vickie said.
"Can we show us how much we care, Nance?" Robin whispered against her lips.
"Please," Nancy whispered, and Robin slammed her lips against Nancy's.
It felt like a wonderful dream. It had happened so fast. One minute, she was kissing Robin, and then she was kissed by Vickie. Their gentle touches, the soft way they ran their hands down her body, and when they asked, she let them take off her clothes. She let them kiss and lick every inch of her as they talked to her and reassured her. . . Now, suddenly, they were on the floor, laying on the blankets that they pulled off the bed. Nancy's back was pressed up against Robin's naked chest as she held her legs open for Vickie, who was eating her out as Robin played with Nancy's nipples. . .Nancy whined into Robin's mouth as Robin pinched her. Nancy whined again as she broke the kiss.
"Are you going to cum for Vickie, Nance? You going let her taste you. . .she's quite eager," Robin whispered.
"Yes, yes, I'm going to. . ."
"Do it. . .just let go, Nance," Robin whispered. "We're here."
Nancy yelled as she spilled into Vickie's mouth, and Vickie gripped her thighs as she cleaned up every last drop.
"Fuck!"
Vickie sat back on her knees, looking breathtakingly beautiful before Nancy and Robin. Her red hair was clinging to her forehead. Her pale freckled skin shone with sweat, and Nancy could see her own juices still on her chin.
"You taste so good," Vickie said.
"Come here," Nancy said and stretched her legs out.
Vickie crawled into her lap, straddling it as she kissed Nancy, who kissed her back eagerly. She grabbed the back of Vickie's head and licked herself off of Vickie's chin. She smirked when Robin let out a curse.
"Goddamn," Robin whispered.
Nancy smiled and leaned back against Robin, enjoying the feeling of both women. She didn't want to ruin this moment but she had to know.
"What is this?" Nancy asked.
"What do you want it to be?" Robin asked.
"I want. . .both of you," Nancy said.
"Then we're yours," Vickie said, cupping her face.
"See? You're not cursed, Nancy," Robin said.
"I think I'm starting to believe that," Nancy smiled.
They laid on their backs onto Nancy's blanket, letting the air cool their skin. Nancy's fingers were interlaced with theirs, and for the first time in a while, she felt alive.
"Nancy?"
Karen Wheeler's voice came from the hallway as she got closer to the door. Nancy sat up, her eyes wide. Shit, she forgot to lock the door. Still completely bare, Nancy Wheeler dove for the knob and locked it quickly just as her mother tried to open it.
"Mom! For the love of - Will you please learn to knock!" Nancy exclaimed and whispered. "Definitely still cursed."
"No, if you were cursed, your mother would have come in here and seen us naked," Vickie pointed out.
"Try explaining that one," Robin said.
Nancy collapsed on the floor and laughed. She really couldn't. After that. . .well, it was still a shitty situation, but knowing that she had Robin and Vickie. . .it made it all even more worth it, especially when they eventually won. She wasn't cursed at all.

Kinda want to write a one-sided ronance post S4 au (within a fix it obvs) where the older teens start actually hanging out and Stobin (eventually + Vickie)confuse literally everyone. They greet each other with cheek kisses, call each other babe (or "Stevie Baby". Listen. Robin calls him bud or buddy or bub or bubba or babe and it's like why so many B's?? Argyle is vibing with it though and joins the bud train) and one time at two in the morning had a coordinated ramble about the names of the cats they will eventually get. (Sassafras, moonshine, and Garborator)
Nancy and Steve haven't really talked about anything, other than Steve saying "hey. I'm sorry if whatever I said weirded you out. I was definitely a bit delirious and Robin and Eddie AND Dustin were all making comments about winning you back or whatever which is stupid, you made it clear where you stood with me. Which wasn't with me. That's fine. and like. Okay yeah when we were together I'd daydream about you being beside me in the motorhome but thats-- it was a daydream. I was sort of thinking I was gonna die and. I wanted to share a little dream that made me happy. And then got everything confused in my head and made it weird and I'm sorry. what I'm trying to say is I'm sorry for being weird and making things uncomfortable. I'm over you. I loved you then, and you were my first real love, and maybe if things were different I could love you like that again but. But neither of us want that or the same things out of life. And we'd crash and burn again. Plus you and Jonathan are together which is a non-starter. Cannot believe I forgot that when it was happening. Jesus. So. Yeah. Sorry for being not a great friend and hitting on you in the Upside Down." And Nancy had nodded and told him not to worry about it. He had been sort of bleeding out and planning on going back into the upside down. They could both be normal about it.
Sometimes Nancy and Robin try to have "girl time" at Nancy's suggestion because they're the only girls in the older group (sometimes. But Robin is not going to let that slip out) but it's awkward without a buffer. Robin is too nervous and rambles and Nancy is too annoyed by it. But they do get on well in group settings, and Steve and Argyle are actually the keenest to smooth over any awkwardness.
Robin laughs more with the group, and grins at Steve and smirks at Eddie and has a sharp tongue Nancy can admire. She's more comfortable with Steve around, insisting he sit beside her or on the ground in front of her so she can play with his hair. (And Nancy is shocked the first time she sees it, because Steve was notoriously protective of his "best feature", but she'd asked and he'd hummed quietly as she takes her fingers through his hair and put tiny, lopsided braids in it.) It's nice to see Robin less jumpy, and wonders what it would take to see more of the side of her Nancy only sees when Steve's around. She just wants to get closer to Robin. Wants a friend.
And somehow, beyond Nancy's notice, Steve and Robin's friend Vickie slowly joins the group. She wasn't involved at all in the spring, but has been hanging around Family Video and a movie night or two often enough that when she settles more permanently in the group it isn't a very big surprise. Eddie and Argyle welcome her in with open arms, Jonathan is only his normal amount of weary of new people, and obviously Robin and Steve are excited for their friends to be friends.
But it just doesn't sit right with Nancy. She can't pinpoint why, it just doesn't. When she sees Robin and Vickie giggling together, or having some back and forth banter that seems to feed into both of them smiling, or Steve throwing his arm over her shoulder, or Vickie leaning into Robin's space as they talk. She always sits beside Robin, Steve on the other, with Eddie beside him. It's usually a tight fit for whatever couch they're on, but the four seem happy as clams to not have any personal space. Once Argyle decided to lay across all their laps, and they just...let him. Finangled themselves so everyone was mostly comfortable.
Nancy figures she is uncomfortable with it because she hasn't ever had a close friend since Barb, and was possibly hoping she could be close to Robin along those lines. So seeing her so close with the others and mildly uncomfortable around her hurt, and seeing her and Steve incorporate someone unversed in the Upside Down into their little trauma club also hurt. Because what did Vickie have that Nancy didn't? That made Steve and Robin and now Eddie stick to her like glue? That made them want her there when she didn't know anything about what they'd been through and could probably never understand?
What made Vickie Summers so special that she's taken what should have been Nancy's place beside her friends? Because that's what really bothered her. It wasn't that Vickie didn't know, it's that Nancy felt she took her place. That Nancy wanted to be where Vickie was, and she didn't know how to ask for it. Asking, trying to talk about how Steve and Robin had bonded so well after Starcourt while she ignored them and then how they bonded with and absorbed Eddie halfway into their bizarre dynamic after vecna, would feel too much like begging or admitting that she isn't quite sure how to make friends.
Nancy is jealous. Jealous that she isn't friends like Vickie and Eddie and Steve and Robin are. That she isn't the one making Robin smile and giggle so cutely. So. She tries harder. Tries to be the friend that Robin and Eddie and even Steve deserve. She tries not to be annoyed by Robin rambling (it really isn't that bad, just. Not relevant. She likes heading Robin's voice, but thinks she could really work on having a filter.), or the way Steve always asks clarifying questions when he should really have known better, or Eddie talking half in different character voices. She thinks it's getting better, her relationship with them. But, still, Vickie is always there, glued to Robin's side almost as much as Steve is, and that always annoys Nancy. Niggles at her brain, that she doesn't deserve to be there because she didn't know what Robin had lived through and fought. Nancy did.
Eventually, Nancy figures out that she wants more from Robin. Doesn't want to be a friend she smiles at occasionally, wants to be the reason she smiles all the time. And that's terrifying. Because Nancy had never considered liking girls, never thought liking girls was a thing she could do. It was something other women did, not Nancy. She liked boys and always had, but. But maybe she always liked girls...too. maybe it wasn't something she that was one or the other. Being different in a town like Hawkins puts a target on your back, being queer in a town like Hawkins even moreso.
She's leaving Hawkins in the fall. But she thinks she wants someone to come home to. She wants Robin to come home to. Robin and Steve seem to be okay with it, from what she can glean of some veiled comments they've made that she's only caught now she's looking for them. They've made some remarks around the kids that make it seem like they'd be safe to come to, no matter what. And sometimes, some of the comments Robin makes about actresses seem a little...well. admiring.
They probably, hopefully, wouldn't hate her for this. And now Nancy and Robin have a friendship, she thinks she can. It's early July, and Nancy is going to ask Robin out.
She gets her alone, bites her lip, and asks Robin in no uncertain terms to go out on a date with her. Robin stares, mouth agape.
"oh," she says.
Nancy smiles, a little. "Yeah. So. What do you say?"
Robin blinks, and takes a shuddering breath. "Oh my god. I. Nancy I'm really flattered but I'm no-i dont- uhg. I'm dating someone." she groans, rubbing her hands over her face.
And oh. Nancy read the situation wrong "oh. Steve. It's fine! You don't like girls, thats--thats totally fine! Id just, um. That is,-"
Robin waves her hands. "No, no! I'm not dating Steve! You clocked me correctly. Definitely gay! Don't worry about that! Hah."
Something in Nancy twists. "Oh?"
"yeah. Yep. Not only am I a lesbian in a small town, I'm a lesbian in a small town that somehow also has a girlfriend." Robin says the word dreamily. Like she still can't believe it. Nancy's brain fills with static. She was too late. Too caught up with how she missed so many chances in the past, that she missed her chance now.
But Robin keeps talking. "And, like. Even if I didn't, I don't think it would have worked between us anyways. Too different, y'know?"
"what?"
Robin gestures with her hands between them. "Well, like. I like being your friend. But, I mean, I wouldn't date you?"
"why not?"
Blinking, Robin tilts her head. "Because of Steve?"
Something bubbles hot in Nancy. "What the fuck does Steve have to do with wether or not we would date?"
"Nancy. Steve's my best friend." As though that explains anything.
"yes? And?"
Robin looks uncomfortable, shifting sideways. "listen, Nancy. You're a good friend. And I've just rejected you. Maybe we should just. Ah. Leave this? I'm really sorry. I'll give you some space, just find me when you're ready?"
"no. What do you mean that we couldn't date because Steve is your best friend? Why would that have any effect on how you date?"
"it doesn't! Not really! Just. Nancy, you broke his heart. His soft, squishy heart! You kinda sorta cheated on him-details very unclear-and then just. Moved on. Pretended like nothing happened. I couldn't do that to Steve. Dating a friend's ex is a bad move. Dating an ex that broke a friend's heart is just cruel." She sighs. Looks sad. As though she isn't the one rejecting Nancy and tearing her apart for how a relationship ended almost two years ago. What did that matter, now? "You're my friend, Nancy. I like you! But even if Steve has moved on, forgiven and forgotten, and if things were a bit different given his full support for us dating if that's what I wanted, I think I'll always remember how he-- how much it hurt him."
"oh"
"I'm. Nancy I'm really sorry. I know how scary it is to put yourself out there, especially like this. It's not fair. I'm just sorry. But. It was true. Steve's the most important person to me. I couldn't ever hurt him. Not like that. Not even if he said he was fine with it."
Nancy stands and walks away. She doesn't cry until she locks her bedroom door.
