Dustin is a professor at Stanford, if you are in the field of engineering you’ll probably have read his work. Suzie is an engineer at NASA, having climbed through the ranks like crazy since she has been hired. They’re advocates for gender equality in their field and give talks at middle schools to encourage kids of any gender to go into the sciences. The two have adopted a little boy and a girl and spend a lot of time with the kids to see the wonders of the world.

Erica has been in the Senate for many years now representing the state of Indiana. She has been a revolutionary, pushing for better anti-discrimination laws and better welfare for US citizens. She has been instrumental in legalizing same-sex marriage. As a senator she is incredibly busy, however, she never misses a chance to eat ice cream with Steve, be an annoying younger sister to Lucas, join one of Eddie’s one shots. She has worked together with Max for the non-profits the two are involved in and is the best god-mother to the children of Dustin and Suzie. We are all so proud of her and her achievements, you truly cannot spell America without Erica.

Anyway so you ever get emotional thinking about the fact that Dustin and Robin found crushes/relationships that have nothing to do with the UD? Meaning thag the other person doesn’t know about the UD. Like I actually think it’s so fucking important that they have relationships especially romantic that have no idea about the UD because then they aren’t tethered by the UD - knowing about the UD isn’t the only thing keeping their relationship alive and they don’t feel completely trapped by sharing a traumatic experience with one another

Of course it complicates things because they do have to lie and keep a part of them secret but the complexity here is actuallly so fucking good!!

But like there’s def a part of Robin and Dustin that feels like this is a breath of fresh air despite having to hide the info of the UD from them but they would feel so happy to know that they can have a relationship outside of the UD - one that hasn’t been affected by the UD and trauma at all

dustin and suzie are a great example of a couple willing to do anything for each other. suzie gets in trouble for dustin, she defies her beliefs for a moment to help dustin, she helps the cali group simply for dustin, she’s dating him even tho he’s agnostic. she loves dustin. dustin literally builds a fucking radio tower just to talk to her! she helps him save the world after he sings for her. he praises her constantly. dustin and suzie are ten times more of a power couple than m*leven will ever be.
