I want to be non conned by Anakin ☹️
the first time i saw this ask, i was eating chicken nuggets (safe food moment) and was like "damn me too 😔." (obvious tw non con, choking, canon sw universe ani, delusional and obsessive behavior, forced pregnancy/baby trapping, reader has a pussy, use of the word “wife” in a gender roles way and “pillow princess”)
anakin can do nearly every variation and flavor of non con imo, his canon character allows for a lot of flexibility in that area. there's the soft and sweet gentle non con where he's smoothing his hands up and down your back as his thrusts bury you in the sheets. he's not crying, just a little teary because it feels so good and maybe you'll finally listen to him about how the two of you are meant to be together. that's very aotc anakin coded to me, not that rots!anakin couldn't do it like that in the right circumstances (and how you behave and react to certain situations).
for example in the beginning of aotc, and you're another padawan who's formed an unnatural bond with ani over the years. he's anxious to be knighted and you can tell that his mood is dampening more and more every day. all he says is that he has trouble sleeping, nightmares and obi-wans' karking loud snoring. you giggle and fall for the misdirection, tugging him over to the sparring mat. the next time you meet, you hear more about padmé and their history. he's being assigned to protect her so he can't be your training partner for the time being.
it's noble, of course, it's unbecoming of a jedi to be anything other than happy to see anakin follow the path you always knew he could. he has a light in his eyes you haven't seen in weeks and you attribute that to a person rather than considering the possibility that he's happy because he finally has a purpose. but you're 20 years old, being a (hopefully) future jedi master doesn't grant you any extra wisdom when it comes to love. you don't think much of pulling away, ani is going to have his hands full (of what you refuse to think further on) and you should start sorting out your priorities.
you've just made the biggest mistake of your life. outside the room where the senator is peacefully slumbering away, anakin can't stop overthinking and wondering what he did wrong. why haven't you been answering his messages, he's told you so many times that he could fix your holopad for you. he's so deep in thought that he barely makes it in time to terminate the insects deployed to poison padmé and chase after the assassin. he doesn't know that this time apart has allowed you to have an epiphany, and that you'll be gone by the time he comes back from naboo. perhaps there was more to the galaxy than being a jedi.
he tracks you down after his mother dies, feeling adrift without you and high off the adrenaline of indulging the darker parts of his soul. he wouldn't even have known you were leaving had it not been for a concerned message from obi-wan. you didn't even leave coruscant, you wandered down into the lower levels like you were waiting to die. well you don't get to do that without him, so he pins you down on the sorry excuse for a bed you've bought yourself and tells you that this must be what it feels like to make love. your tears mingle as you kiss slowly and flames lick at his back as you drag your hands down his flesh. he murmurs that it's okay, he can't lose you too and he knows just what to do, plenty of couples in the galaxy settle down young. he'd never abandon you, to leave behind what he has allowed to grow into his skin like an abscess is aberrant to the core of anakin's very being.
your pussy parts like the petals of a flower as he pushes his leaky cock into you, and it's so beautiful with his cum seeping out that he knows the force incarnate is between your thighs. you're still sniffling, and your nipples feel bitten to shreds, and that's alright. marriage day jitters are normal, he can only imagine how much more you'll glow when you have a piece or two of the force's son growing in your womb. he blushes and stammers when he asks you to keep his cum in and not touch yourself while he's gone, excited at the prospect of playing husband and wife until the mission is over and you can have a real wedding.
you tell yourself that you hated what your best friend did to you, but you keep your hand away from your begging cunt and smother yourself with the spare cloak he left behind. in a way, desire pools in your gut at the thought that you have to be forced to come out of your shell. you know anakin has grown up too hungry to hate fighting for his meal, and he has done enough proving himself. the flecks of blood matting the hair at the nape of his neck flashes through your mind as you grind your hips up against nothing. his movements were awkward at the first, but his sheer determination and passion had your brain leaking out of your ears by the end.
you remember feeling his dick twitch when you tensed, and he thought that you would attempt to fight but you only moaned and kept his head tucked away in the crook of your shoulder. the force radiated of embarrassed satisfaction that grew more confident with every squeak and groan. he liked seeing the fight drain out of your eyes more than the idea of you actually following through on it. your soresu never quite matched up to his anyway.
then there's the harder version. you resist more in whatever scenario and you delude yourself into thinking that anakin is the kind of dog that would throw away the bone he's chomping down on when he's bored of it. he manhandles you and tosses you around the room, shoving his cock up to the hilt and snarling at you to know who is doing this to you and love him anyway. your snot slides down the wall and your face is smushed against the peeling paint, blood drips down his length when he pulls out and he actually pouts in disappointment when he misses a few drops as he scoops it up with his fingers and takes them into his mouth. you're dizzy as he chokes you, your head spins when he spanks you while forcing you to ride his face. you will stare down the lightsaber handle of his devotion and push the button without hesitation.
you'd likely end up pregnant and waiting on your jedi husband to fall from one pedestal after the other. but the one reserved for the man of the house is guarded by you and your children, he bends over the gilded railing and kisses the breath out of your lungs. even when that pedestal drips with tar and becomes an ominous throne. this is a story that happened so long ago after all, nothing can be done to alter events that have already come to pass.
BUT ANYWAY, his prosthetic arm would also be a big focus in non con. no matter how hard he's ruining you or beating your body up, there will always be undeniable and inevitable love in it for anakin. punishments involving impact are dulled down and reduced to only his flesh hand. even in the gentler non con situations, he's so careful and aware of where his mechanical arm is at all times and what it's doing. there is no bruise he wants to give you when you did not deserve them, he offers it as a cooling balm of sorts to your heated skin in the aftermath. he likes to watch you lather the metal digits in spit as you suckle while you come down from your forced high, sometimes he swears he can feel the ridges of your tongue slide along the smooth surface.
he's so in love.
even with non con, i actually don't see anakin being all that verbal right after he cums. he'll have to calm down a bit before he can start speaking. but he'll silently nuzzle you and caress the spots on your body you wouldn't really think about, like the side of your sore tit and right on the plush flesh above your left hip bone. very touch you know and if you're able to pick up on it i imagine he would send out calming energy and just pure love into the force. but it's so intense you think you can see the smoke vapors rising up from your skin. visions of the future are shared between you, as well as eventual whispered promises of you being the crown jewel of his new empire. imagine the elaborate nurseries, putting the children to bed and then getting countless orgasms as thanks for being the best wife and parent in the galaxy. but he's sure to remind you that no one would ever love you more than anakin, even your children.
and i don't see him dipping into non con somno much other than the initial tease to your wet cunt and inserting his hard cock into your hole. the slow creep into your room, the creak of your bed as he settles his weight down, the soft woosh of the blanket being pulled off your gorgeous body. he'd want you to wake up and thrash around for a few seconds before giving in to how good he knows he's making you feel. because he knows perfectly well he could send out suggestions into the force that you put you deeply asleep and without chance of ever waking up until he wants you to. but your genuine reactions are so cute, playing with his soulmate is only fun if you can actively participate.
whether that be by crying or humping him desperately or clawing trenches down his back or riding him on the rare occasion your hormones have overpowered your pillow princess tendencies.
also this isn't non con related but in terms of love languages: other than physical touch, i think words of affirmation is a big one for him. actually being verbally reassured and given sweet nothings of his own to tuck away between his robes for him to focus on as he cuts down any threat to your eternal happiness. being told that he is worthy of love and that he's an incredible jedi, i think just being told that you're proud of him and that he hasn't spent years trying to be somebody to someone for nothing. blah blah he internalizes so much that it would help him to be given an opportunity to express those feelings blah etc etc and having you validate him would render his need to be on the council largely useless etc.
(he would unironically kill to be your alpha in an a/b/o setting i fear)

~☆~
He speaks to you when you sleep. He's been doing it since he died
It's not that he visits you from the afterlife, no, he visits you in memories that feel a little too real.
This time, you're eighteen years old, a small braid still behind your ear. You're two Padawans, swimming in a Naboo lake, laughing as he holds your waist, lifting you and throwing you further into the water.
You were clad in garments that Queen Padmé Amidala had graciously given the both of you, seeing as neither of you had swimming attire appropriate for just going out and having fun.
His hair was chopped short, and he had a matching braid behind his right ear. He had not lost his arm to Count Dooku, nor did he have his iconic scar that went from his right eyebrow down to his cheekbone.
The memory isn't tainted by the other memories you'd have later in life, you're oblivious in this dream. It's just you re-living your time as a Padawan.
Your robes and lightsabers are up on the land, under a tree. Anakin swims the small distance over to where he threw you, a big grin deepening his smile lines. Your own smile mirrored his own. The two of you were happy, not having to bend to the Jedi rules while you're out swimming in some clear water. A break.
Peace.
Tranquility.
You're jolted awake by a beeping sound, so your eyes snap open. You're back in your private chambers, no longer out on the rocky terrain of Mustafar like you last remember. Did Vader take you back himself? Did he get a stormtrooper or a Droid to retrieve you?
You sit up and pat your body, seeing if anything has been done to it. Everything is normal. You're even still in the clothes you dressed yourself in.
The beeping sound coming from your door finally stopped, only for the sound of compressed air to momentarily replace it. A stormtrooper takes a step in. You think its the same one who has been delivering your food, but it's hard to tell, considering the fact that they all look the same.
"Lord Vader has requested that you change your attire and join him in the dining room." The Stormtrooper stands straight, permanently at attention.
"Tell Lord Vader that I have no interest in his... request." That was no request from him. It was a demand.
The Stormtrooper stands still, staring. For a second, you think he is going to drag you out of the room, but he just leaves. The metal door closes behind him, locking automatically, making you sigh and flop back on your bed.
You turn your head to the side, staring at the gray sheets. Your hand reaches up, and you rub the fabric between two of your fingers. Your sheets back at the Jedi Temple were almost the exact same shade of gray. The sheets you grew up sleeping with curled up in a ball on most nights after an intense training session with your old Master.
A sense of loss fills you...
You've lost everything.
Your home, your rank, your friends, your freedom... You've lost it all.
You don't feel that for long, because a feeling of dread replaces it. He's close. You can feel the dark presence of him. He is angry. He is frustrated.
Your answer was a mistake. You should have just done what you were told.
Mechanical doors open, and the air lock breaks yet again. In all of his terrifying 6'8 glory, Darth Vader stands.
In this moment, you realize that the lenses on his helmet are red, not black like the rest of his attire. It's silly, really... noticing something so small when you could possibly die in this moment.
Would he do the signature move you hear stories of? Use the force to wrap an invisible hand around your throat, crushing your trachea, cutting off the part that makes oxygen go to your lungs, leaving you dead by asphyxiation?
"You were told to join me!" His modulated voice raises, making you blink a few times as you stare up at him with wide eyes. This is it. "Why can't you do what you are told?"
The spit that had collected under your tongue was now going down your throat thickly, making you feel like you swallowed a stone. "I do not obey your kind." You fix your posture in a second, speaking in a strong voice to try and hide whatever you feel.
Darth Vader stares back at you for a second, only the sounds of his modulated breath escaping him.
"My kind?" He speaks right before a dark and deep chuckle can be heard. "A Sith? An Emperor? The most powerful being in the galaxy? A killer? Do explain, Y/N."
You ball up your fists as you swallow again. "A tyrant. A Sith. A killer without cause. Call it what you will."
His steps were loud against the metal floor as he approached you, standing right in front of you. His large hand grabs your face with slight force, but not roughly. You've heard whispers about how he is just a machine. That his hands are just made of wires, screws, and the metal that holds it together. You don't know if you believe that because whatever he's holding you with is not as hard as metal. You can feel it under his leather gloves.
"We are one of the same." He tells you. "The sooner you see that, the sooner I can get what I want."
"We are not the same!" You yell stupidly. Who would yell at the most powerful Sith that is known for killing without remorse?
He's silent again, just staring down at you.
"Wear the wine colored dress. I'll be waiting."

Knowledge and Power (I)
Darth Maul x Queen of Naboo!Reader
Summary: Maul is afraid that he is not strong enough...
Warnings: angst, nightmares/visions/past and possible future trauma, enemies to lovers, implied smut (naked in bed together), hurt/comfort, fluff, paraphrasing the "Let the past die. Kill it, if you have to. That's the only way to become what you were meant to be." quote, ?implied? plotting murder, reader description (long hair), some soulmate-ish/dyad-like stuff at the end, not proofread so probably a mess 🙈
Started for the Sith/Jedi secrets prompt but I guess it works with Death of the self too
A sequel of last year's @maulweek fic, Beauty and the Beast
~ 1,3 K words

Maul was having another nightmare. There were not many tells but you know him by now. He usually sleeps eerily still, his breathing so calm and hearts so slow that you used to (and sometimes still do) have to check if he was alive when you woke up in the middle of the night, not used to having someone sleep next to you.
The nightmares were getting more and more frequent, and if you were correct, increasingly upsetting too. He refused to tell you about them though. That was about to change tonight!
You shake him awake as gently as you can but still find yourself pinned beneath him but instead of the night's previous loving embrace, he grabs you by your throat, ready to get rid of the threat.
It only takes a second or two for him to realise what's happening but it's enough to cause damage in the already fragile bond between you. He rips himself away so fast you can hardly follow, only barely reaching him before he could leave the bed.
You pull him back on you slowly, knowing that the skin to skin contact will help ground him after whatever he had seen. After a little hesitation, he nuzzles into your neck while pulling you impossibly close, holding you tightly with slightly trembling hands as his breathing starts to even out while you caress him ever so gently.
Lately he has been training you and your handmaidens, relentlessly trying to increase his own power too in his freetime. Something was clearly bothering him and instead of turning to you, he started to drift away, like he was preparing to leave.
"You are not alone. Please, tell me what's wrong," you murmur into his ear, and sigh when you feel him tense up again. "Even if I can't help, it could take some of the weight off you if you would just share."
He leans back on his elbows to look into your eyes, contemplating your words for a long minute before finally speaking. "If I tell you, it will put you in even more danger."
"While not knowing will keep me safe?" You question him with a disapproving frown.
Maul leans on his side, holding his weight on one arm so he can cup your face before he steals a kiss, lingering for a long moment then he parts and answers as he keeps brushing your cheek with his thumb.
"If there is a chance that he will spare you because I have not revealed his identity..."
"Is there a chance he would spare you?"He looks away instead of replying to your rather biting cut in, which is enough of an answer on its own. "I also made a promise to protect you, if you think I'll let..."
He turns back to you sharply, his intense gaze no longer dull yellow light in the dark but glowing flames of almost completely red as he practically growls, "I can't lose you."
Silence. Pain. Paralyzing helplessness. Does he truly think you feel any different about him?
You can hardly breathe as you plead, "Tell me what you dream about."
You almost think he will shut you down again but whatever he sees or feels has him give in, only a little though.
"It is not always the same." He starts, pausing to think just how much to tell you but you don't interrupt or demand more, just patiently wait for him.
The truth is, that it is always the same in terms of how it ends. With death. Only he can't tell you that. So he opens with something less ominous but you quickly connect the dots.
"You will have to go to Coruscant soon."
He is there, you think. The mysterious master who is a threat to you both, no matter how much Maul tries to deny it.
"What if we don't go?" you contemplate your options out loud.
"He will come here."
At that statement your brain races with the pieces of this infuriating puzzle that you already gathered. And then it strucks you. Of course! It has to be...
"No, no, no!" Maul gets up and paces in panic. It is unlike anything you have seen from him so far.
"I killed you! I just killed you!" he chants in desperate cries as you hug your blanket and hurry to him.
"Look at me!" you demand as you grab his arm and turn him to face you. His face kept in place between your palms, letting your covers go while forcing him to do as you said, you try to sound soothing as you weakly attempt to reassure you both, "I'm here. I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere. And neither are you!"
He breathes out a shaky breath and carefully rests his forehead against yours.
"I am not strong enough to protect you," he whispers in defeat.
"You don't have to fight him alone." You remind him as you circle your arms behind his neck, holding him tightly as you keep murmuring, "You are not alone. I'm here."
Once he calmed down a little, you pull him back to bed, letting him get lost in the touch of you again as you aimlessly caress each other. He unties your braid, spreading your hair on the pillows like a halo and plays with a strand as he tries to stay with you in the moment.
"Love, forming bonds of commitment... It is not something either side embraces, right?" He pulls back and looks confused at your seemingly sudden change of topic but confirms your theory so you go on. "It seems to me that you limit yourself to what he taught you about the Force and that is not even half of the things you could study if something is missing on both sides. Wouldn't you agree?"
He doesn't answer but you know he is thinking about it, you can also tell he is not convinced, at all.
You sit up, making him move as well. Keeping the remaining covers to your chest with one hand, you grip his jaw in your other hand as you anger starts to show. "He is the past, don't let that define you! He can't have you! If he has to die so you'll be completely free of this torment then he will die."
"How?" he growls at you impatiently, like you are talking nonsense.
In response you lean in and nip at his lower lip before sliding away and reaching under the bed.
"I was going to give you this tomorrow."
"What is this?" He looks almost adorable as he eyes the package. Turning it around this way and that way like it is a foreign concept.
"A gift," you huff. "Open it!"
He does and... there's no reaction. Literally, nothing. He stares at the ancient books with a strange expression and says nothing, so you start to explain why you thought to acquire them in the first place.
"I hardly doubt he knows about the Jedi ways, maybe you can find something useful in there. Perhaps it will give you a new perspective, maybe even help to find your own path.
With that, the last barriers that he was adamant to keep up had crumbled between you, his soul wide open for you, connecting the two of you through the Force as it was meant to be.
You gasp at the feeling but you don't have time to question him, Maul surges forward, grabbing you by your nape and capturing your lips in a kiss, devouring you with a hunger even more intense than usual.
That night was the true end of Darth Maul, for he was no longer a Sith apprentice in any way. He was on a new path, going into blindly to fully explore the world and the Force anew. He will never let anyone else define his fate from now on, he vowed. Although he still had doubts, he was no longer afraid of the future because he knew you would be with him, always.

Best Kept Secret
chapter one : honeymoon (RE-UPLOAD)
ao3 link ✿ series masterlist ✩ main masterlist ✧

A/N : i had to change accounts so this is a re-upload of my ongoing fic bks!!
pairing : bodyguard!Din Djarin x afab!princess!reader
rating : 18+ mdni
word count : 6.7k
summary : you've been married off to a far away prince, turns out, he isn't your prince charming. however he did gift you a bodyguard as a wedding present.
warnings, etc. : arranged marriage, language
Absurd.
That is the only word that comes to mind as you stare at yourself in the mirror. “His favorite color is blue.” That’s what they had told you when they adorned you with the gaudy sapphire jewelry. “He’s going to love this.” That’s what they had told you as they pinned your hair into uncomfortable curls, braiding in unfamiliar flowers. They were horrendous, far too large and the smell of them nauseated you, or maybe that was just the nerves, who knows. If you were fortunate enough maybe you would discover a surprise allergy to the flowers and your throat would close and your face would turn blue. You wondered if the prince would like that.
Blue had once been a comforting color but not this blue. This blue was intense, harsh, hard to stare at for too long. Nothing like the blue that made you think of home. On the rare days where the snow stopped falling briefly and the sky was clear, Hoth was beautiful. The blue back home was quiet. The color of the sky seemed to swallow the snow and everything became one soft mix of periwinkle. This is not that. This is loud and garish.
The two girls who had been dressing you took a step back and smiled at you waiting for approval as you took in the sight of yourself in the floor length mirror. The dress itself was beautiful, if accompanied by tasteful accessories you might have actually found yourself almost nice to look at. A simple off the shoulder satin gown. On anyone else you were sure it would be absolutely stunning but it was so hot here, nobody had told you it would be this hot. The dress felt as though it was sticking to your skin, you hated the way it made you feel like you were trapped in some sort of fabric prison. But even with the thin sheen of sweat covering every inch of you it was the rest of the ensemble that made you look like you were supposed to be attending some sort of costume party, and not your own wedding. To say that the amount of accessories was excessive would be an understatement. Bracelets, bangles, arm bands, several tacky necklaces, even an anklet you couldn’t even see under the gown. All of the sapphires were so bright they seemed to glow, if you swayed your arms fast enough it almost mimicked the sight of hyperspace. The two ladies-in-waiting who had been assigned to you started to give each other nervous looks as you purse your lips silently taking in the ridiculous blue eyeshadow that adorned your otherwise unmade up face. The young Togruta girl speaks up first.
“Is everything to your liking ma’am?”
No. You look like you should be working in a pleasure house, not marrying a prince.
But the anxiety in her voice is enough to soften your gaze as you speak what might be the first words to leave your mouth since you landed on Naboo. It seemed like everyone was comfortable speaking for you and you knew none of them cared what you had to say so why bother.
“You two have done a wonderful job… thank you.” You turned around to face them, giving them the warmest smile you could muster considering the circumstances. The relief on their faces as you spoke gave you more comfort than you’d had in days. “I am truly grateful to have such wonderful staff, thank you for making me feel so at home. I’m sorry I didn’t catch your names earlier?”
“I am Elaine and this is Lysa.” The Togruta girl is the one who speaks up again, pointing to herself and then to the human girl. They both smiled as they turned you back towards the mirror and began to do last minute touch ups. You all stood in silence once more until Lysa spoke.
“You look so lovely, he is going to adore you.” She spoke softly, almost as if it was meant more for her own comfort than it was for yours as she straightened a flower in your hair.
He. That was how they referred to him. Nobody spoke of him other than to tell you how lucky you were, and how grateful you should be for this opportunity. No one described him to you in the slightest. No one even said his name, you were pretty sure it started with a “K.” Your betrothed was nothing more than a stranger. And as you stared at yourself in the mirror once more that was what you saw. A stranger. You didn’t recognize the woman in your reflection. She was not the young princess from Hoth, she was simply an item to entertain this “he.” Dolled up to be more appealing for a man she had never even met, adorned in his favorite color to make her more attractive to a man she had already decided she did not care for.
“What is he like?” You cocked your head slightly as you deliberately observed the girls facial expressions for a reaction, you immediately regretted that decision because of the glance they gave each other. It was enough to make you not want to know the answer so you quickly stammer out another question. “What does he look like?” The Togruta girl clears her throat, you make a mental note that out of the two girls she seems to be the voice.
“He is very handsome, my lady.” She straightens out your dress one last time and they both take a step back and observe you. “He dresses very well. Just like most of the royal family he has very defined features, striking blue eyes.”
“Oh yes my lady, he is very well known for his beautiful blue eyes.” The human girl smiles at you as she speaks nervously standing behind her partner now. A small part of you started to pray that his favorite color was not blue simply because that was the color of his eyes. They both seem to be struggling to come up with any other defining features of your intended which doesn’t exactly put you at ease.
“He is also blonde.” Elaine chimes in with a reassuring smile as you watch your reflection frown.
You had always had a preference for brunettes.
✩
He could be worse.
That was what you had to keep reminding yourself as you sat now in the large dining hall, it seemed like everyone was laughing and chatting it up except for you. The seat to your left reserved for your husband was empty, you could see him in the crowd toasting with a group of men you assumed were cousins or brothers purely based on the physical similarities. Honestly you wouldn’t be able to tell your husband apart from the rest of them if he wasn’t wearing that horrendous electric blue suit. Your table at the back of the room, facing the rest of the hall, was empty. Save for you and Leodall.
After your husband had so graciously run off after the ceremony to chat it up with his friends or whatever it was that was apparently much more important than you, you were walked to the reception by an orange Twi’lek who introduced himself as your personal servant, Leodall, Leo for short. No one seemed to even glance at you as they began to take to the dance floor. Of course your loving husband didn’t ask you to dance, why would he when he seemed to be taking the hand of a rather pretty red headed girl and wrapping his arms around her waist, laughing as they began to sway to the music. Prince Kodo Harand. That was his name, at least that is what the priest had said during the ceremony. He had given you a rather cocky “hello” once you had walked down the aisle, and he had kissed you with far more tongue than you would have liked, and now you sat alone. Princess Harand. Lucky you. And of course your family wasn’t here to keep you company, you don’t even think they were invited, why would they be? This wedding had nothing to do with you, it had everything to do with finding someone of royal descent to marry the prince of Naboo in exchange for trade deals. You wondered if there had ever been someone who felt as lonely as you did right now, at their own wedding.
“Leo?” You turned to where he was standing directly behind you. He was also staring at the prince with a rather annoyed look on his face.
“Yes my lady?” He turned his gaze to you. He was far too serious for someone who only seemed to be a few years older than you were.
“I am getting rather tired, I should like to retire to my chambers.”
You also should like to not watch my husband dance with some of the most gorgeous girls you’ve ever seen. Seems like he has found a rather attractive brunette now to keep him company on the dance floor. Leo looks to the prince and then back to you.
“It is rather early my lady… perhaps you could stay just a bit longer? It is after all your wedding.”
“Is it?” You couldn’t help but raise your eyebrows at him, gesturing to the empty chairs surrounding you. Before he could object you stood and began marching towards the exit.
“My lady! Perhaps you might enjoy some refreshments! And perhaps you might reconsider your early departure!” Even in the gown you were more agile than him as you weaved through the crowds, waving off muttered “congratulations.” Once through the large doors of the great hall you felt as though you could finally breathe. The halls out here were dark, a few guards seemed to be passing around a flask but they immediately straightened up as they saw you, you pretended not to see them, hoping they might resume they’re drinking. After all, someone should have fun at your wedding. You lifted your skirt slightly and tried to remember where your room was as Leo finally caught up to you.
“Was it right or left…?” You stare down the nearly identical hallways as you hear two sets of footsteps approaching you.
“Wife! Where are you off to? I have a wedding present for you!” How fortunate that you married someone with such a distinct, nasally voice so you can plaster on a faux smile before you face him. You turned to see a disgruntled Leo following behind Kodo. Great. Your clearly drunk husband has a present for you on your wedding night. You have to physically resist rolling your eyes as he takes your hand and begins dragging you towards your chambers, Leo stumbling to keep up with you.
“Are you sure this cannot wait until tomorrow dear husband?” It’s unlikely he’ll want to put this off but there’s no shame in trying.
“No no no… trust me you are going to love this…”
Well he certainly is confident in his abilities.
He stumbles through the many confusing halls of the castle until arriving at your door, stopping just outside. He opens the door just a crack and peers inside before shutting it again, putting his hands on your shoulders, a big dopey grin on his face as he drunkenly slurs.
“I must be getting back to the party my dear wife but your present is inside, I left you a little note on your vanity.” He leans forward and gives you a sloppy kiss, you do your best not to recoil.
“I’m sorry? I don’t quite understand?” You managed to pull him off you long enough to speak. But he’s already walking away.
“Do not fret, wife, you will love it. I will see you at dinner in a few days!” He yells over his shoulder before rushing back down to the party. You turn to stare at Leo who is just as shocked as you are as you can’t help but double over in laughter.
“Is he serious?” You’re laughing so hard you’re practically crying, Leo doesn’t seem to find the situation as funny as you do. You wipe a tear from your lash line as you straighten up. “If our marriage is anything like today has been I suppose it shall not be all that bad.” You manage to say through your laughter. He doesn’t speak, he simply opens the doors to your chambers for you, placing his hand on your back to usher you inside.
“I suppose I should not have expected any less of our prince.” Leo mutters as he closes the door behind the two of you he begins lighting the lamps around the dark room. “Shall I summon your ladies-in-waiting to help you undress my lady?” You open your mouth to answer but you’re stopped dead in your tracks as you stare at the suit of armor in the center of the room. The mannequin it appears to be resting on is rather tall. You can’t help but stare at the way the lamp light flickers against the Beskar. A Mandalorian statue? What an odd gift. You instinctively walk towards it as you mumble.
“That won’t be necessary… it is late, do not wake them, I can do it myself.” Leo looks as if he is about to protest but the note on the vanity catches his eye, he holds it between two fingers and begins to read it to himself as you stand directly in front of the armor now, your fingers raised to trace one of the gauntlets. “It certainly is a beautiful set of armor… I just don’t understand what exactly he wants me to do with it.” You run your hands across the chestplate, admiring the fine craftsmanship before you turn to face Leo, a concerned look on your face.
This better not be a weird sex thing.
“He doesn’t expect me to wear it, does he? Is this some sort of weird fetish of his?” You find yourself looking back to the armor nervously. “It’s far too large for me… I think I would look rather foolish, like a child wearing her mothers clothing...” You bring a hand up to the helmet, a small shiver running down your spine as you stare into the lifeless visor.
“Princess… perhaps you should wait a moment.” Leo stares at the note for a moment more before his mouth opens slightly to speak again as he gives you a warning look. But it is too late, you lift the helmet a fraction of an inch and let out a startled shriek as the armor shifts to grab both of your arms in one large hand, pulling your hand back down.
“Don’t.”
The voice that comes from the modulator is low, it is gentle with you but is by no means joking as he releases his grip on your arm you stumble backwards.
“Maker! You scared me half to death.” You bring your hand up to your chest as Leo rushes to your side to stabilize you, you stare at the Mandalorian in surprise for a moment before your gaze turns angry and you poke a finger into his chest. “What is your problem! Why didn’t you say something!?” He only shrugs in response.
“I was instructed not to speak to you until you read the note.”
Bastard.
Leo leans forward to whisper to you.
“It should appear that the prince has hired the Mandalorian to be your personal bodyguard, my lady.” Leo’s voice shakes as he stares up at the intimidating silhouette of the armored man but you are not so easily swayed, clearing your throat as you speak.
“You are dismissed Leo.” Your eyes never leave the steel visor.
“My lady, are you sure it is wise-”
“If my husband deems him fit to protect me then he is fit to protect me. Unless of course you are questioning the prince’s judgment?” You turn to glare at the Twi’lek who is now nervously tugging at the sleeves of his shirt. He does nothing but stare back at you for what feels like minutes until he finally sighs and makes a beeline for the door.
“As you wish, my lady. Ring for me if you require anything.” He closes the door and you turn back to the Mandalorian, who unsurprisingly hasn’t moved an inch, other than the way his helmet seems to shake ever so slightly but you ignore it as you walk over to your vanity, crumpling up the note and tossing it in the bin before starting to remove your jewelry, setting the ugly pieces onto the table.
“So what exactly is your job?” You don’t give him the courtesy of facing him, not after he scared you like that.
“It was all written in the note.”
It’s annoying how unbothered he sounds. You take off the last piece of jewelry, lifting your skirt and raising your leg to rest your foot on the ottoman to unclasp the anklet, you swear you see his helmet tilt in your direction in the mirror, but when you turn to face him he is in the same position, staring at the wall.
“I don’t care about the note. I want to hear it from you.” You fetch yourself a nightgown as you step behind the screen next to the vanity, carefully slipping out of the dress, out of sight of the Mandalorian.
“My job is to make sure you are not harmed.” He speaks so quietly you’re surprised the modulator even picks up his voice. Once dressed you step out from behind the screen and take a seat at the vanities mirror, wearing a gray silk nightgown. It’s fancier than what you’d usually wear but it doesn’t seem like they bothered to unpack any of your clothes you brought from home. You silently pray that they didn’t throw them away.
“So you just… follow me around?” You can feel the frown forming as you begin to carefully remove the now wilting flowers from your hair.
“Yes.”
Not much of a talker this guy.
“Actually I’m good.” Your voice is snippy and you know you’re being a bit blunt but you’ve had a rough day. Finally, he deliberately moves, his head turning to watch as you undo the pin curls, your hair falling down in waves as you do.
“Excuse me?” Finally, some sign of emotion. Even if it is a twinge of anger.
“Can you not hear through the helmet? I’m good. I’ve already got an ensemble of people trailing me. I don’t need another.” You rifle through the drawers until you find a rag to wipe the makeup from your eyes before turning around to stare at him. “You’re dismissed.”
“You don’t have the authority to dismiss me.” His voice is tense, if you could see his face you were sure he’d be scowling. It’s good to know he is capable of emotion. Even better to know it isn’t difficult to rile him up.
“I don’t know if you know this but I just married the eldest son of the king and queen. That makes me the future queen, I’m pretty sure I have the authority to do whatever I please.” You hadn’t said those words aloud until now, you hadn’t even thought them. It lifted a weight off your shoulders, somehow it made things a bit easier, to know that despite this entire situation you found yourself in that at the very least you found yourself in a position of power.
“I don’t know if you know this, but I have direct orders from the eldest son of the king and queen to not let you out of my site from the moment you leave this room until you return to it.” He mocks your tone exactly as he crosses his arms.
Shit. He’s got you there. Did Kodo have to pick this man to guard you?
“Well… I’m in this room now. So I don’t require your presence. You may go.” You wish you could come up with something more witty but you're tired, you just want to be alone, to have a single moment to try and process what a whirlwind these last few days have been. You swear you hear an annoyed huff come through his modulator.
“I’ll see you in the morning.” His voice is sharp and he speaks with a finality that makes you want to argue further.
But he doesn’t give you time to respond. He simply leaves. Once he is gone you rush to the door to lock it and begin to dim all the lamps in the room. In the pale light you stare at the comically large bed and your stomach drops. For the first time since arriving on Naboo you feel cold. The idea of spending your wedding night in such a big bed alone makes you feel sick. Were the ceilings of this room always so high? You find yourself opening the closet. It’s the size of your room back home, it’s perfect. All of the fabric of the unfamiliar clothes that were now yours made it quiet, and soft, and warm. You grabbed a lamp from one of the many small tables around the room, (who needs this many tables?) and bring it to the closet, closing the door behind you as you rummage through the many drawers until you find one full of blankets and pillows, making yourself a nest before settling down in it. It was just as comfortable as your bed back home and you wrapped yourself around one of the larger pillows.
You wanted to cry.
You should be crying but you're not. You’re just staring at the flickering lamp. There were a million things you could think about to make yourself cry but at this point it wasn’t even worth it. You’re tired, and there will be plenty of time for crying later, after all this was your life now. So instead you closed your eyes and pretended you weren’t here at all, that you were back home, and you weren’t completely alone, your many siblings were just down the hall in their respective rooms. But they aren’t, they’re back on Hoth. You’re on Naboo. They are all still together.
And you are alone.
✩
He won’t leave you alone.
It’s been ten days since the wedding but it feels like ten months. And the Mandalorian will not leave you alone. You have only seen your husband twice since the wedding, short dinners the night of every fifth cycle, last night he had told you that he saw no need to produce an heir until his father died.
How romantic.
But as much as you yearn for companionship you cannot help but be grateful that he has not ever joined you in bed. He doesn’t repulse you by any means but he just seems… indifferent. Like he couldn't care less for you, which is fine considering you aren’t exactly infatuated with him. But you’re lonely nonetheless. Conversations with your husband are one sided, once you realize he doesn’t care for anything that comes out of your mouth your dinners become much less awkward, he would ramble on about anything he found interesting for an hour and then leave. You heard a servant in passing whisper something about him going to a brothel after your second dinner. You wanted to be more upset about that but you just couldn’t find it in yourself to care. As long as it kept him out of your chambers.
Elaine and Lysa are sweet but they are clearly intimidated by you, or at the very least they are afraid of upsetting you. So you’ve found that it’s best to just not talk to them at all unless it is to praise them or thank them. They show up like clockwork every morning to dress you and in the evening to undress you. You’re starting to feel like a doll. But they do not comment on the makeshift bed in the closet so you decide they are your favorites. Leo on the other hand has made it quite clear he doesn’t approve of your sleeping situation, you don’t bother trying to explain yourself because you know he won’t care, so now you let him watch you get under the covers of your ornate bed every night before you retreat to the closet. He can be a bit uptight and he’s terrible at conversation but the best thing about Leo is that he doesn’t hover. You honestly don’t know where he runs off to but he’s always there when you need him and he doesn’t overstay his welcome.
Speaking of overstaying his welcome, you can see the Mandalorian over the top of the book you are currently pretending to read.
He has become your least favorite person in your new life. He is ranked even lower than Kodo. You were currently dedicating your life to exploring every inch of the castle and mapping it out, you had taken to carrying around a small journal and noting locations you liked and places to avoid. This might be an enjoyable challenge if it weren’t for the walking hunk of metal that seemed to always be standing just out of arm's reach from you. It’s infuriating the way he always stands in your peripherals, you are always aware of his presence even when you are doing everything in your power to ignore him.
Neither of you had spoken much since your first meeting. He had been rude, why would you speak to him? (Of course you had been rude as well but that's besides the point.) He waits outside your door every morning, and he is there when you return at night. Two days ago you had daydreamed about escaping out the window to avoid him, but considering your chambers were on the fourth floor you decided against it.
A few days ago was when you had reached your boiling point. He had to sleep eventually, that was what you had told yourself as you opened the door to your chambers at 3 a.m. Under all that metal he was still just a person. (Or at least you were pretty sure he was.) So you donned a robe and a glowrod as you slipped into the hall. For the first time he wasn’t standing there. You just had to find your way to the library, you wanted a few books and you didn’t want to feel his steel gaze judging your every choice, you wanted something cheesy and romantic, something you could read in the closet when you couldn’t sleep. (Which was most nights.) Everytime he followed you into the library you found yourself too nervous to read so now was your chance. Surprisingly it only took you a few minutes to find it. Creeping inside you managed to find five books, clutching them in your arms you stepped back out in the hall and as you closed the library doors as quietly and quickly as you could you turned around and slammed into metal, stumbling backwards and landing on your ass, your books going everywhere.
“Gods…” You groaned in pain as the back of your head knocked against the door, your eyes adjusted to the darkness as the glowrod illuminated a familiar pair of boots. “You are just- the nerve of you- I can’t even begin to-” Your mind stuttered through a million different insults but eventually you just gave up, huffing angrily as you picked up the light, he reached down to help you up and you shoved his gloved hands away. Leaving the books, you storm off, back towards what you hope is the direction of your room. He didn’t speak as he followed silently behind you, the only indication that he was still there was the reflection of the dim light against Beskar. You looked down two hallways trying fruitlessly to remember which way to go.
“Left.”
Maker, he didn’t even sound tired. If looks could kill the glare you gave him as you turned left would have him six feet under. As you finally see the doors to your chamber you sigh in relief, just wanting to forget about this silly attempt to have a moment of normalcy.
“I knew that.” Is all you can manage to mutter, still fuming to the point that you know you can’t form witty insults as you open your chamber doors.
“Sure you did.”
As you turn to give him a piece of your mind you find yourself in the dark corridor alone. Oh you hate him. This is why he is your least favorite.
You don’t know much about Mandalorians, your mother had always said they were dangerous but that was all that was ever said about the topic. He doesn’t seem all that threatening. Sure he’s tall, and his shoulders were ludicrously broad, and he wore impenetrable armor but you’ve been sitting here staring at him for two hours now and honestly you were pretty sure at this point that you could beat him in a fight.
Okay you might be starting to lose it.
You haven’t had a real conversation with anyone since your wedding night, it’s not your fault if you’re starting to feel a little scatterbrained. Maybe you could push him out a window. That armor certainly wouldn’t save him from a fall. That might be too risky, with your luck you’ll end up going out the window with him. As you begin to ponder if Beskar is fireproof a familiar modulated voice breaks the silence causing you to drop your book in shock.
“Don’t.”
In your fantasies of knocking a candle over onto his cape you hadn’t realized his helmet was facing you now.
“You really seem to love that word.” You cock an eyebrow at him. “You also seem to love scaring unsuspecting girls.” You mumble.
“I heard that.”
Stupid helmet with its stupid abilities. You really need to start keeping a list of what that thing is capable of. Maybe the helmet is what makes his stupid voice so deep.
“Of course you did.” You lean back in your chair as you look him up and down. “What exactly is it that you don’t want me doing?”
“Don’t act like you can outsmart me.”
Wiseass.
“I wasn’t doing that, I don’t know if you can see through that visor of yours but I was reading.” You scoff at him as you cross your arms. You hear him hum softly through the modulator as he walks in your direction, standing between you and the book on the floor.
“What were you reading?”
Dank Farrik.
You’re pretty sure you can see his shit-eating grin through the Beskar.
“I’m not even going to humor the accusation you’re getting at.” For a split second you swear you catch the start of a laugh before his modulator cuts it off. Soundproof, you can add that to the list. He leans up against a bookshelf as he stares down at you now.
“Maybe it was another romance novel?” Maker, he's the worst. You fight back the pink that threatens to tint your face as you play dumb.
“I’m sorry?”
“Don’t be.” You wondered if you could have him beheaded. Do they do public executions on Naboo?
“I don’t know what you’re talking about..” Is all you can manage to spit out as you reach to a nearby shelf and grab the first book your fingers touch, it looks to be some sort of architecture guide. Better than nothing. “Leave me be, I’m trying to read.” You open the book quickly and as your eyes glance across the pages, much to your dismay, you don’t recognize the language it’s in, he doesn’t need to know that though.
“You left some books out a few nights ago.”
You try to hide the way your breath hitches. There’s no way he went back for them. Unless he did. Why would he do that though there would be no reason. Why is your heart racing like you’re on trial? Why can’t you stop the pink that tinges the tips of your ears?
“I read a lot of books, you can’t possibly expect me to remember every one.” You turn a page and continue scanning your eyes across the unfamiliar text.
“The Smitten Paladin… My Barbarian Love… Interstellar Bride… The Tongues of-”
“SHUT UP.” You slam the book shut and you can’t fight the rose tint that fills your face now.
“As you wish, princess.”
Oh you were definitely gonna kill him now. How hard would it be to get your hands on a vibroblade…? You didn’t speak now, you couldn’t even look at him. There’s no way he had seen those that night when you dropped them, the bastard went back for them. If you could find out where is quarters were maybe you could smother him in his sleep. You assumed he would resume his mockery of you but he never did, he just stared for several minutes as you returned to your book, doing your best to pretend that you knew what it was about until he finally broke the silence.
“So how were you thinking of doing it?”
“Doing what?”
“Outsmarting me. Or escaping me, or killing me? Whichever one it was you were plotting.”
You wonder if he was sweating under all those layers as you allowed yourself the first indulgence of really taking him in. He wears heavy black fabric under all of his armor. You wore light and flowy dresses and you always felt like it was too hot. You also can’t stop yourself from wondering if he purposefully makes his voice lower, he must scream into a pillow or something to make it that raspy. You didn’t like how warm it suddenly got in here. This stupid planet and its stupid heat.
“Well I can’t just tell you my top secret plans, what will you give me in exchange?” You hated the way his helmet tilted to the side to mimic you.
“How about a walk through the gardens?”
“We have gardens?” Your eyebrows furrow in disbelief, just when you thought you were starting to map this place out… He nods and you ponder it for a moment before holding your hand out for a handshake. “Deal.” He takes your hand in his and gives you one firm shake but you hold him there and stare at his hand. “Your gloves are stupid, why are the fingers yellow?” He groans as he pulls away.
As he pulls his hand back you catch a glimpse of his bare wrist. You hadn’t really thought about what he might look like under the armor up until now. You’re sort of surprised by how tan his skin is. As you stare for what is definitely too long he clears his throat and you find yourself face to face with his visor.
Shit, shit shit.
“Sorry, I got distracted by how stupid your gloves are.”
“Keep talking like that and I won’t take you to the gardens at all.”
“That’s fine, now that I know they exist I’ll just find them on my own.” You stand up, making your way towards the library exit.
“You do realize I follow you everywhere right?”
“You’re very observative aren’t you?” You scoff.
“You won’t find them on your own. You’ve lived here two weeks and you still can’t find your room without help from Leo.”
“This is why you’re my least favorite.”
“What?” He doesn’t even pretend to sound hurt, his voice is filled with genuine curiosity and for a fleeting moment you want to give in because for the first time in weeks you aren’t thinking about how alone you are in a castle surrounded by people. Because for the first time since you arrived on this planet you were having a real conversation, and even though you hated him he was the first person who seemed like he actually cared about what you had to say, and not just because you were royalty and it was his job.
“Do you want to hear about my secret plans or not?” You decide to change the subject and watch as for the first time, he walks next to you, not behind you, as he nods.
“I’d love to know how you plan on getting away from a trained bounty hunter.”
Bounty hunter. You’ll have to ask him about that later if he allows you to keep talking to him. A small part of you hopes that he will.
“I thought I might start by pushing you off of something high up.” You grin at him. You can’t remember the last time you smiled and it wasn’t for the benefit of others.
“Wouldn’t work.”
“Oh come on, your armor isn’t gonna save you from a fall from one of the castle towers-” He pulls back his cape to reveal a jetpack and you shut up. “Okay new plan, I throw your pack off the roof first.” He nods.
“You would never be able to get it off me but sure. Next plan.” Maker, you hate how smug he is. You want to slap the stupid smile you have to assume he is currently donning off of his face.
“Well I really only had two plans, plan number two was to light your cape on fire.”
“Fire’s not gonna kill me, that's just gonna make me angry.”
“Well in that situation I wouldn't be trying to kill you, the fire would be a distraction as I make my escape.”
“There is not a single situation in this world in which you are capable of hiding from me.”
Why does he have to say it so huskily? Why does it suddenly feel so hot in this stupid castle? You decide he deliberately makes his voice sound deeper to make himself more intimidating.
You open your mouth to protest but you remember the bounty hunter thing and decide to save yourself from any more embarrassment. He stops walking and you stare at the familiar doors to your chambers.
“Hey! You promised me gardens!” He opens the door for you before taking a step back.
“It’s too late for gardens. We’ll go tomorrow.” You want to argue, you want to do anything to keep talking to him, even if you loathe him and his terrible attitude. But you don’t want to ruin this, and a part of you likes the prospect of more conversation tomorrow.
“Promise?” You hate how eager you sound.
“Promise.”
You begin to step inside your chambers but he puts a hand on your shoulder. It makes you let out a small gasp as you turn to face him.
“Before you go I have to tell you something, princess.” The voice that comes from the modulator is hushed, he leans in as if he is going to tell you a secret and your eyes get wide, you can see your reflection in his helmet, your face is going pink again.
“W-what…?” It’s embarrassing the way you stutter but he’s so close now that you can’t help it, if he got any closer your breath would fog up the Beskar. You had no idea what he was about to say but for some reason your heart was beating out of your chest. God what is wrong with you today? The heat must be messing with your head.
“It was in Galactic Basic.”
Well now he just wasn’t making any sense. Maybe the heat was messing with his head too.
“I don’t care for riddles.”
“Your book, earlier, the one about architecture. The one that you couldn’t understand.” He takes a step back and you furrow your brows, how the hell did he know you didn’t understand it, but more importantly, obviously you spoke Galactic Basic.
“I didn’t realize you were capable of telling jokes.”
“You were holding it upside down.” His hand drops from your shoulder and he takes a step back, waiting for a response but any snarky comeback dies on your tongue as your face burns up, realizing he’s right. Is he leaning forward in anticipation?
Scumbag.
“Good night, Mando.” As you start to close the door you can hear him chuckling.
“Good night, princess.”
Jackass. You hope that he’s ugly under the helmet.
You also hope he’s brunette.

I've reread my posts for social media AU while updating my pinned post.
I really don't know why I didn't draw anything for ot for a long time...
Anyway, now I am imagining how Anakin who works for speeder manufacturing company puts on a fancy outfit suitable for the husband of a senator and Naboo fashion icon, and then goes to a plant that provides thier company some components and uses the dirtiest Hattese curse words to explain that they won't tolerate this quality of production anymore.

He remembers the day he was first called Kote.
The pride had swelled in his chest so much he smiled, a real smile as vod alike hugged him after they were allowed to rest after a brutal day of training. Sure, his nose was broken and still bloodied, but the adrenaline of being named was enough to drown out the pain as he and his brothers celebrated with stolen rations and a drink of unspoken origin.
Kote remembers the day his name changes to Cody, hidden under the title of Commander as the war begins.
He's not sure why it has to change, but figures the Jetti they now finally serve don't understand the name. The one called Kenobi hadn't had trouble with it after he had chased Jango and his kih'vod off and away from Komino, but the longnecks say he is Cody, so now he is. Commander Cody's reputation spreads from the beginning of the war with both how quickly he takes to leadership and with the particular Jetti he serves, his yellow armor a beacon for most when he and the 212th charge across the battlefield. He's the first of 4 to be promoted to Marshal Commander, Cody grinning underneath his bucket at the cheers from his men, and the joy radiating from his General as he pins the commendation on his armor.
Cody remembers the day Obi-Wan said his name softly, walking beside the commander toward whatever they had been doing.
They never did make it to their final destination, instead, Cody nearly kicks down the door to an empty room and drags the Jetti inside. Lips meet before their brains catch up, and that damn cloak he's always dropping on the battlefield is now in the way as he aches to hold Obi-Wan close. He can't remember when he started wanting Obi-Wan, the man who understood his normally neutral mannerisms without the need to ask, and completed him in a way he never knew he was incomplete. Cody could melt when Obi-Wan cups his face, saying something but going unheard as he drank in those dazzling eyes and reddened cheeks, smiling for the first time in a long while. He's never been a selfish man, but Cody can't help but think that Obi-Wan is the first thing he's ever wanted for his own, and hopes that it will be easy to make this clear. Of course, Cody doesn't have to try, Obi-Wan always knows, calling him dear and darling after they eventually leave their little spot away from the world.
Cody remembers the first day he was just Cody to those he loves, Commander by day to clean up the corruption and devastation from a war finally ended.
It was a long process, just because the Sith behind it all was gone did not mean his collaborators were just going to stop, but it was fulfilling. Clankers were cut down with ease now they didn't have the drop on the clone troopers, and the rapidly dwindling numbers meant more time away from the front lines. More time to see worlds he had only seen in snippets or brief times on the surface, time to see survivors they'd help save, time to sit in the Temple on Coruscant and listen to Obi-Wan be a leading force towards a better Republic. Cody still finds it strange that most natborns were less hostile as the days pressed on, and sometimes sits with Fox to wonder if the Sith could control so many people on the neverending planet, to which they both shrug and agree that the Force was too weird to try and figure out.
Cody remembers the first time little Luke and Leia called him Ori'vod Kote, the little tubies scooped up into his arms with matching giggles.
Kote enjoys living on Naboo whenever he can drag Obi-Wan away from his work, chuckling when Luke usually traces his many scars while Leia asks for stories with an intense look on her face. He wonders how quickly a tubie can become a Senator, a question that causes Padme to launch into laughter and Skywalker to cover his face with his hands, which in turn makes their children laugh. Kote sometimes thinks of having his own tubies when he and Obi-Wan leave the planet after their visits but knows that their work needs to be finished before that can be allowed, as none of his will live in such a dangerous universe. Still, his (slightly still dangerous) life that Kote has is as perfect as it can be for now, and that's all he really needs.
---------
Happy 2/2/24 day to my favorite Marshal Commander!

Two Men and a Baby Zabrak AU
Summary
In which a disastrous attempt at ambush and subterfuge on both sides leaves Obi-Wan and Maul trapped on the ruins of Dathomir. Maul needs Obi-Wan alive for his lightsaber and his intel. Obi-Wan needs Maul alive to teach him what the hell to feed this abandoned baby he's found...
Word count: 570 | WIP | SFW | Dividers by @xurengu0
Maul gives a sidelong glance to the bundle that hasn’t even stirred in Obi-Wan’s arms.
“Perhaps there is a reason it was left for dead. It has no survival instincts to have slept through all that.”
Obi-Wan bristles, torn between a twinge of shame at his own actions and the strangest instinct to defend the child’s honor.
“I told you, he’s hungry. He cries the entire time he’s conscious. I-I’m enlisting a little help from the Force to keep him asleep for now. I don’t want him to suffer unnecessarily.”
“Then you should smother it before it wakes.” Maul doesn’t even break his stride, his eyes still scanning their surroundings like the predator he is. “Even if we find something to feed it, it will hunger again. It will be cold. It will cry for its mother, and she will remain too dead to soothe it.” His voice is low, conversational, as if he were discussing something as mundane as the weather. “To live is to suffer.”
Obi-Wan is silent for a long moment. The wave of contempt he braces himself to feel, then release into the Force, never comes. Instead he simply observes Maul. He watches the way the zabrak’s body moves as if on autopilot; as if hunting for food with nothing but his wits and his bare hands was so mundane to him as to become instinct. His horned head shifts in response to a near-imperceptible sound, and as his eyes catch the light his pupils seem to disappear in a flash of refracted glow. ‘He can see in the dark’ Obi-Wan thinks, a dormant memory of his studies of zabrak physiology returning to him. There was a time, not long after Naboo, when he’d obsessively trawled the archives for any information he could find on Dathomirian zabraks. ‘Well, the adult ones at least’ his mind ruefully supplies, aware of the weight of the infant in his arms. He’d hidden those long nights of research from everyone at the temple, knowing the mind healers wouldn’t approve. Something about unhealthy coping strategies. Even now he couldn’t explain exactly why he did it beyond the fact that he’d needed to know. if he’d just had the information, was there any weakness he could have exploited, anything else he could have done…Obi-Wan wrenches his thoughts away from the past. The man before him looks every bit the nightmare that has haunted Obi-Wan’s dreams for the past decade. For all of the countless hours that Darth Maul had consumed his thoughts in the years since Qui-Gon’s death, for all of the agonizing and analyzing and ruminating, Obi-Wan still finds himself unprepared for the reality that the Sith is walking right beside him.
‘But he is,’ the whisper of a thought sounds just like his old master. Obi-Wan takes a steadying breath, relaxes his shoulders, and centers himself on the present. On the living force. For perhaps the first time since their fateful duel all those years ago, Obi-Wan looks at Maul and allows himself to simply be curious.
To live is to suffer, he’d said.
“You’ve fought awfully hard to stay alive, for someone who believes that.”
Maul’s head swivels to face him, the hunt forgotten, and Obi-Wan finds himself pinned by the intensity of his stare. It is impossible to focus on anything but the weight of the Sith’s undivided attention.
Maul opens his mouth to speak-
and the infant begins to wail.
Yo, I figured I'd put this at the bottom rather than the top, but this is the first piece of fanfic I've posted. Like, ever. Anywhere. I guess I'm a writing blog now? It feels weird to make any kind of fuss about it, but just as fucking weird to post it without context.
Anyway, I'm hoping to keep writing this and turn it into a properly fleshed out AU, but just in case the mice in my brain move on to other things, I wanted to put this snippet out in the universe.

For the 650 followers AU requests, how about...
Fives x Fem Reader, Mer AU for MerMay. 🧜🏽♂️
Details: No use of y/n please. Reader is reluctantly part of a crew of sailors/pirates/privateers/ assigned by the island of Naboo's chancellor, Palpatine, to catch a merperson because of a legend that says something from a mer (tears, flesh, dealer's choice) grants immortality. Fives is the captured merman, and forms a bond with the reader. Bonus, merfolk CAN transform to have legs, but perhaps under certain conditions. Fives, being the cheeky, mischievous guy he is, "forgets" that humans have an aversion to public nudity. 😏 Insert awkward flustered reader at seeing a naked man for the first time 🤭
Can have some mild or hinted spice, but nothing explicit please.
The Privateer
Summary: After being assigned to the Dominion, the flagship of Naboo’s Privateer fleet, you’re miserable. The last thing you’ve ever wanted was to spend your life hunting Mermaids, even if their blood is said to grant immortality. The day your captain catches a merman is the worst day of your life. Though, you’re pretty sure it’s only going to get worse.
Pairing: Pre ARC Trooper Fives x F!Reader

A/N: So, I've had the idea for this for a while, it just took me a bit to get it down in a way that makes me happy. I hope you like it! Also, I really need to stop writing the summary before I write the story, lol
“So, I gotta ask,” You roll your eyes as you finish tying your bandana over your hair, and then turn to look at one of your bunkmates, “How’d you end up on The Oracle?”
“Palpatine’s order,” You reply simply as you kneel to pull your boots out from under the bunks, “What about you?”
“Same. Though I was pulled from Theeds Prison.”
“Oh yeah?”
“Yeah.” She pins her hair back, and wraps a bandana around her hair as well, “I was a pickpocket, believe it or not.”
You laugh, “Have you ever been on a ship before?”
“Not in my life.” She flashes a wry grin, “You?”
“I used to serve on The Hush. It’s a fishing trawler.”
“You were a fisherwoman?”
“Yeah. Served on the ship since I was a kid.” You finish pulling your boots on and stand.
“Why’d you get pulled to the Oracle?”
“No one knows these waters better’n me.” You stretch your arms over your head and then grab your waistcoat from your bunk and pull it over the dark shirt you’re wearing, “I was tagged to be the navigator.”
“Alright, lemme ask you a question then, Navi—”
“—Don’t call me that—”
“—do you think there’s any truth to what we were ordered out here to do?” She asks, ignoring your comment.
“You’re asking if I believe in merpeople?”
“Yeah, pretty much.”
You fold your arms over your chest, “I think,” You say slowly, “That we know more about the stars than we do about the sea.”
“So you’re saying it’s possible?”
“I’m saying I haven’t seen any proof that they exist.” You sigh, “Honestly, “I think this is a fool's errand. The cap thinks so too. You see the look on his face when he told us what we were here to do.”
“Yeah. He looked annoyed.” Your bunkmate finishes dressing and then follows you out of the berth that you share. The pair of you are two of maybe ten women who are serving on the Oracle, the rest of the crew are all men. “Was the Oracle a fishing vessel too?”
“No. Military.” You lightly rap your knuckles on something pinned to the wall, “Well, military lite.”
“Military lite?” She asks with a smothered laugh.
“Yeah, well,” You move to the side to not get trampled by a much larger sailor, “The Oracle was one of a fleet of ships that would respond to emergencies on the water. You know like ship fires, and the like.”
“Are ship fires common?” She asks as she stops dead in her tracks.
“Keep moving, you’re holding up traffic,” You chide, and then, as she continues chasing after you, “No. Not really. But they do happen. It’s why ships like the Oracle exist.”
“So, what? The Government just took the ship and forced it to be a privateer vessel? Is that allowed?”
You shrug as you hurry up a thin flight of stairs, “Doesn’t matter so much, does it? Cause it’s what happened.” At the top of the stairs you pause, and motion to a hallway, “Galley is there. You’ll do fine.”
“What if I don’t?”
“Cook will teach you. Don’t be afraid.” You watch as the other woman hurries into the galley before you jog through the halls until you reach the bridge. You slide into the navigator’s seat, taking the pencil from the previous guy, and you scan the map.
“Morning, Navi.”
“Why are you all calling me that?” You say with a sigh.
The Captain winks at you, and then turns his gaze out the front window, “You get the new girl settled?”
“Yeah, dropped her off with Cookie.” You reply.
“Good lass, it’s nice of you to take her under your wing.”
You lean back in your seat, and point your pencil at him, “You know she’s a pickpocket, right? From Theeds.”
“Oh, I know.” The captain glances at you, and makes a face, “I’m glad I was able to keep most of my crew, and the majority of the people pulled to The Oracle are from other ships, but some of the people Palpatine gave me are all criminals.”
“What’s he thinking?”
“I don’t think he is.” The Captain scoffs, “Alright, according to the night Captain, they managed to finish searching grid blocks—” He pauses and glances at a sheet next to the helm, “Ah, here it is. Grid blocks 70 to 79.”
“They only searched nine blocks?” You ask as you turn your attention to the map and find the ship’s current location.
“Well, night searches aren’t easy. There is no sunlight, very little moonlight. Probably wanted to be thorough.” The Captain replies.
“Alright, I have to ask. What do you think about this mission we were assigned?”
He’s quiet a moment, “Well. Orders are orders, right? But—” He trails off, “I don’t know, Navi. I grew up on the ocean, the things we don’t know could fill the library of Theeds. Anything’s possible.”
You sigh, “I dunno. It just…If merpeople are real, Cap, it feels like it would be bad luck to catch them.”
“Well, if we’re lucky, we won’t find any and can all return to our regular jobs.” The Captain sighs, “What’s our heading, Navi?”
“Due North, Cap.”
“Alright, adjust course—”
You flicker your gaze down to your map as the Captain rattles off a list of numbers and you promptly mark the ship's location and repeat the numbers to him.
It’s roughly 6 hours later when one of the men casting the nets shouts to stop the Oracle. The Captain slows the ship to a stop and leans his head out the window, “What’s wrong?” He shouts down to his men.
“Net’s stuck, Cap!” The man shouts back, “It…gods above—” The fishing net lifts out of the water, and there, thrashing wildly in the net, is a merman.
The Captain stares at the dark-skinned merman and releases an oath so ugly and bitter that you start. “Mark our location, Navi.”
“Yes, Captain.” You reply, quickly marking the location on the map, and then scrambling to your feet to follow him out of the bridge and to the deck.
The merman is still thrashing wildly, loud and angry curses falling from his lips. You watch as the Captain scans the men and women on the deck, his lips turning down.
“Cap—”
“I know, I’m thinking.” He replies, “Most of the men on deck are mine, or come from other ships.” You scan the people on the deck and know he’s right. Most people on the deck look terrified and are backing away from the net.
The people that aren’t are the ones who Palpatine pulled from prisons.
You inhale sharply as one of the former prisoners picks up a spear and jabs the merman in the fin.
That action causes the Captain to explode. Loud and angry curses fall from his lips as he starts to yell at the former prisoners. You’ve never seen him so angry in your life.
“Navi!” He shouts.
“Captain?”
“Back to the bridge, make sure we don’t drift.” He orders. He flickers two fingers towards you, a hand symbol you know well.
He’s ordering you to lock the doors and pull the curtains as soon as you’re back on the bridge. You don’t take your gaze off of him as you nod, “Yes, Captain.”
You turn and hurry back up to the bridge slamming the door behind you and locking it with a quiet click. You see the Captain watching the bridge as you close the curtains.
There’s silence for a whole minute, and then the shouting starts. Then the alarm bells start ringing, alerting the ship of an attempted mutiny.
Less than fifteen minutes later, there’s a bang on the door, “Navi,” the Captain calls, “We’re all clear, open up.” You stand from your seat and open the door, allowing the Captain back towards the helm.
He’s covered in blood.
“Everything alright, Cap?”
“Yeah. We’re calling it an attempted Mutiny.” He explains, “That or sea madness.”
“You think that’ll work.”
He laughs, “No one wants to face the wrath of the sea, Navi. How are your medical skills?”
“Average.”
“Go tend to the Merman. We’ll be staying put until he’s healed enough to leave.”
“And…the Chancellor?”
The Captain looks you in the eye, “Merpeople aren’t real.”
You flash a wry grin, “Understood.”
You leave the bridge and head back to the deck. Surviving members of the crew are using buckets of salt water to wash the blood off the desk before it dries.
The merman is no longer thrashing around, instead, he looks deeply, deeply amused.
“Alright there, Navi?” The First Mate asks as he uses a broom to push some bloody water back into the ocean.
“Yeah. Captain put me in charge of him, can you lower him to the deck?”
The First Mate laughs, “Probably a good idea. Alright, step back.” You take several large steps back as the First Mate and several of the men move to the winch to lower the net to the deck.
The net falls open and you carefully step over to the merman, “Hello. You can call me Navi, I’m going to take a look at your fin. Is that alright?”
He gazes at you evenly, and then leans his weight back on his hands, “Yeah, alright Navi.” He finally says.
You crouch next to his tail, “And what should I call you?”
“I’m Fives.”
“It’s very nice to meet you, Fives.”
“Fraid to say that I don’t agree.”
“No, I would imagine you wouldn’t.” You carefully examine his fin, “It looks like the spear sliced your fin pretty good. I can wrap it, but I’m not sure that’ll help.”
Fives watches you for a moment, and then he smirks “Don’t worry about it.”
“Hm? What do you me—” You yelp in surprise as his scales start to retreat, slowly getting replaced with flesh. And his tail separates into legs. Your jaw drops in shock, and then you yelp again as rough hands shove your bandana over your eyes.
“What’s wrong with you?” The First Mate demands, “You can’t go around exposing yourself to young ladies. Use this to cover yourself.” You hear the sound of cloth hitting something, and low laughter, though you’re too busy trying to pry the First Mate’s hands off your head to notice.
“I forgot.” Fives says, laughter in his voice. As you pull your bandana off your eyes, you see a wide grin on his face. “Anyway, Navi, this will this help?”
“Um. Yeah, a bit.” You glance at the injury, “It’s a pretty deep cut, but you shouldn’t need stitches.”
“Wait, wait. I have a question,” The First Mate says, “If Merpeople can make themselves look human, doesn’t that mean that Palpatine’s theory about Merperson blood is a crock of shit?”
Fives bursts into laughter, “Oh, yeah. It’s absolute bullshit.” He grins at the First Mate, “Don’t tell me you believed that?”
“Course not,” You interject, “But orders are orders,” You stand and offer him your hand, “Come on, let’s get you someplace where I can get that cleaned and wrapped.”
Fives takes your hand and allows you to help him to his feet, and then leans his weight on your shoulder, “You know. Maybe I’ll stick around for a bit. At least until I’m healed.” He muses.
“That right?”
“Sure. Not often that I get a pretty lady to dote on me.” He says with a grin.
You roll your eyes, “I’m sure you’re exaggerating.”
“Nope,”
You lead him through the ship until you reach the small infirmary, and motion for him to hop up on the table, “I’m not even sure what the Captain’s going to do next.” You admit.
“Oh?”
“Palpatine isn’t going to give up on this, and yeah, he’s crazier than a bag of squirrels, but he still has a lot of power.”
“What would you do?”
“I’m not the Captain.”
“That wasn’t my question.” Fives points out.
You lean against a counter, “I wouldn’t go back to Naboo. But that’s our home, and this is a Nubian vessel.”
“Well, your Captain did just order the outright slaughter of half the crew.”
“It wasn’t half, there were only 15 people on the ship who were loyal to Palpatine,” You correct him, “And it wasn’t a slaughter. You heard the bell, there was a mutiny.”
Fives snorts out a laugh, “Yeah, alright. Six one way, half a dozen the other.”
You make a face at him and then continue digging around for the medical kit. “Either way, the Captain has to decide what to do. Not me.”
“How’d he feel about me sticking around?”
“That you’d have to ask him.” You counter, “Why’d you wanna stay anyway?”
“I have a thing for pretty girls.” Fives replies with a bright grin.
Your face heats and you busy yourself with searching for the first aid kit, “I’ll talk to him, but he did just lose fifteen members of his crew.” You straighten and flash a small smile at him, “Don’t suppose you have any friends who need a job?”
Fives leans in so his face is close to yours, “As it happens, I do.”
You grin at him, “That right?”
“It is right.”
“What do you want in return?”
“A place on the ship. And your bandana.”
“My bandana?” You ask, amused.
“Have to wear my lady's colors, don’t I?” You laugh and avert your gaze, slightly flustered. But you do pull the bandana off your head and offer it to him.
Fives immediately ties the pale blue bandana around his head and you smile at him.
“Alright.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah. I’ll go talk to the Captain. After I patch up your leg.”
“It’s a deal then.” Fives replies, stretching out to let you have access to his leg.
“So it is.”
In the end, Fives invites seven of his brothers to join the crew of The Oracle: Rex, Echo, Jesse, Kix, Tup, Dogma, and Hardcase. And, after much discussion with the crew, The Oracle doesn’t return to Naboo, no longer able to handle how Palpatine treats the Nubian people.
So far as the Nubian people are concerned, The Oracle is lost at sea. However, the sailors of Naboo know the truth. The Oracle is still out there, on patrol, just waiting for Palpatine’s control to slip long enough to swoop in and steal another ship.

To be Claimed - NSFW version
Hello friends! I found these marriage prompts by @brainbright for our favorite batchers! I immediately felt they struck gold and pushed this fic out in 12 hours.
I have two versions of this fic: a sfw and a nsfw. The sfw one ends before the smut begins so if you want to avoid smut, I'll link the SFW one here.
CW: brief violence, mention of misogyny, revealing of feelings, idiots in love. Unprotected sex, PiV, light gagging, oral (M! receiving), fingering, clit play, aftersex cuddles.
Hunter x reader
Word count: 3100
Enjoy!!
You didn’t expect the mission to go as it did, but all of you were alive. That’s what mattered to you. Hunter, Echo, Wrecker and Tech were all alive and Omega was safe at Cid’s. That’s all you could ask for.
Cid came to you with a new mission. In exchange for some pure spice, you and your Batch were to offer protection for a week to a leader from this backwater planet. The culture was rather archaic. Women were subservient and silent, to be seen and not heard and the men handled everything. Being on that planet made you grateful to have grown up on Naboo. You were in the same classes as Padme Amidala, or Naberrie as you knew her. You were quite a bit younger than her though. She excelled in her politics and academics, while you were more a physical girl. You would rather settle a fight with your fists than words.
You made the decision to keep your helmet on the whole time you were on this planet. Tech modified your armour to give you more protection on your chest and midsection, so your gender wasn’t obvious to others as it was to your squad. You were grateful for the voice modulator. It deepened your voice a bit, so it just sounded like you were effeminate man.
You were protecting the leader of this community for a week from some assassin. You didn’t know which assassin was after the leader, but you knew there were more bounty hunters around trying to lure you away from the leader. They’d threaten locals to make you distracted. So, you and Tech were stationed with the leader, while Echo, Hunter and Wrecker took care of the other troublemakers. As you waited for the all clear to move the chief from Hunter, you and Tech conversed quietly.
“You are certainly mistaken. There is nothing going on between Phee and I.”
Rolling your eyes, you pointed out that Phee flirted with him constantly with every encounter you had with the pirate.
“Tech, she calls you Brown Eyes at every opportunity! She pays more attention to you than any of us! She’s clearly into you.”
Glancing up at you from his datapad, Tech shook his head. “Regardless, I have no interest in pursuing Phee romantically. Not when I have the squad to look out for.”
That was the one thing you loved and admired about Tech. He’d sacrifice everything for his family without question or hesitance. You only hoped he wouldn’t get himself killed protecting everyone.
“Alright boys let’s move the bird out!” you heard Hunter through the comms.
You lightly pulled the chief to his feet as Tech told him it was time to move. Tech pulled up the rear as you held the lead, blaster in hand. You shot at every bounty hunter you saw, hoping to deter others from trying anything.
As you rounded a corner, you nearly met your fate at the end of a blaster barrel. You paused, looking at the blue skinned woman in front of you. You recognized her deadlocked ponytail and single antenna and clocked that Aurra Sing was in front of you.
“Well, isn’t this a pleasant surprise,” she sneered. “My target handed to me on a silver platter by two clones.”
You pushed the blaster away from your face. “Sing. I should’ve smelled your disgusting perfume from atmosphere,” you hissed.
Chuckling, Aurra took aim at you again. “Oh, don’t worry, I’ll make sure I’m the last thing you see before you die.”
“Like kark!” You pushed her aside, pinning her to the garden wall, shouting at Tech to move. If someone was gonna die, it was gonna be Aurra Sing. The bounty hunter took far too much from you during the clone war and so you had a little vendetta.
She kneed you in the torso, causing you to be winded for a moment. You immediately swung back, clocking her in her nose. As she backed away holding her nose, you kicked her head, bending her antenna.
Aurra became furious, lunging at you and pinning you to the ground on your back. You gritted your teeth, pushing her off as best you could but she had the advantage. Aurra took your viroblade from its sheath and moved it to your neck. As it dug closer to your jugular, you thought of your squad and how you’d miss them if you didn’t push her off.
Blaster shots rang out from your right, causing Aurra to pause in her assault on you. You turned your head, seeing Hunter and Wrecker firing at the assassin. Aurra quickly got off you and bolted, firing back at your boys.
Eventually, another bounty hunter picked Aurra up from your pursuit of her. You fired your blaster again at the small ship, hoping to bring it down but she escaped again. You prayed someone would take her out one day.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You and the boys were celebrated as heroes and offered a feast in compensation. Never one to turn down a way to keep Wrecker full, you all gladly accepted. There was music and dancing and singing, in a way you’d never seen before. Sure, you had had parades on Naboo but nothing this extravagant. There were colours of red, blue, turquoise, orange and many more. You were carried on these little mini beds by some locals. You and Echo sat side by side, admiring all the colours and festivities.
“So, you gonna say something to Hunter? Once we’re back on the ship?” he murmured into your comm channel.
You looked at him through your helmet. You almost regretted telling Echo about your feelings toward your sergeant. Sure, there was nothing to stop you now from fraternising with squad mates, but the gods know there was something stopping you from revealing your feelings.
“Depends on how the rest of this goes. There’s always chaos to follow us so I’m just waiting for it to reveal itself.”
Reveal itself it did. As soon as you were all seated the leader gave a speech in their native tongue before gesturing to you to eat. You removed your helmet for the first time in days, grateful to breathe fresh air and eat fresh food. A collective gasp rung out from everyone except you and the boys, confusing you as you took small bites.
The leader and the elders look furious, yelling at you in their language. You were scared and confused, looking to Tech for an explanation.
Tech put his helmet back on and translated quickly, fearing the worst for your safety.
“Apparently, they are accusing us. We deceived them into thinking we were all men. According to tradition, all women of marrying age who step foot in the chief’s house, as we did early this week, are automatically married to him unless they are already claimed. Since you are of marrying age and do not seem to be claimed, he claims you as his wife.”
As Tech finished his translation, you were yanked from your seat and dragged through the seating to be thrown at the chief’s feet. You yelled and screamed, begging the boys to help you. They did, but not in the way you had expected. You almost wanted to face palm.
“She is claimed though!” Wrecker yelled out, looking to Echo for support.
Echo nodded, playing along. “Yes, she’s claimed by our Sergeant! They were wed last year!”
The leader looked from you to Hunter and back. Spitting out another question, Tech translated, going along with this idea. “He asked why we didn’t reveal that upon arrival. Why such deception?”
Echo looked to Hunter, who was both furious and concerned for your wellbeing, and tilted his head almost to say, ‘do something!’. Hunter was shocked at the turn of events but over his dead body you stay here as some archaic cultures wife. He came up to you and pulled you up to your feet. Pressing a gentle kiss to your temple, he pulled you closer. You nuzzled into his chest, fearing for your life. You had no idea this culture was that antiquated. Hunter brought his hand to your head and started to gently stroke your hair, making it look like a husband consoling his wife.
“We didn’t want to put the other in danger. Should anyone find out we were wed, they would use it against us. We never meant to deceive you.” Hunter had Tech translate.
Hunter led you to the seat next to him. “You okay with this?” he whispered.
You smiled weakly, hating that this was the improvised plan the boys chose. “I kind of have to be, don’t I? You sure you’re okay with playing husband?”
Hunter took your hand, kissing your knuckles gently. He could feel the leader’s anger at him and at you, so he laid the lovesickness on thick. Pulling you closer, kissing your temple, holding your hand and much more. You were blushing like crazy, wanting nothing more than this to be real. Gods you wanted this to be real. Hunter was so good at being loving. You wished more than anything that this was real, and you really were married.
As the festivities settled back into joyous ruckus, the boys encouraged you and Hunter to move into a private area so you could discuss things a bit more. You needed to make things convincing if you were to get out of there as one squad. You didn’t really want to leave the other three, but Hunter agreed it would make it look like you finally had some alone time as husband and wife. Shifting from one foot to the other, you reluctantly agreed to follow Hunter away from the celebration.
Hunter led you to secluded clearing, a short walk from the tents of the settlement. You sat on the ground, not facing him. He sat next to you, listening quietly to your heartbeat. You did not want to make the first move. You had no idea what to say!
Smiling, Hunter pulled you closer, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. You froze a second but relaxed into his hold. Taking a breath, you finally spoke.
“I’m gonna kill Echo. I should never have told him about my feelings for you.”
Chuckling, Hunter squeezed your shoulders. “You really thought you could hide those from me? I can feel your heartbeat, I can smell your scents, and I certainly read your body language well enough.”
You froze again. You were a complete nong! Of course, Hunter could tell! He could feel the electromagnetic pulses from a base halfway across the planet! He would obviously be able to tell you had feelings.
Pursing your lips, you wanted the ground to swallow you whole. “Why didn’t you say anything?”
He shrugged one shoulder. “Figured you’d say something when you felt the time was right. Didn’t want to make you uncomfortable.”
Laughing, you elbowed his ribs gently. “Well, you failed at that! I’m so embarrassed.”
Smiling and laughing with you, Hunter let his head fall to meet yours gently. “You wouldn’t have had to worry about rejection. The others have known about my feelings since you joined us back in the Clone War. Didn’t want to endanger you by risking fraternisation.”
Your heart was ready to burst out of your chest. The man you had held feelings for, all this time wanted you just as much! Leaning in, you brushed your lips lightly over his, letting him control the rest. You could feel your heart beating harshly in your chest, and you knew Hunter could feel it too.
Hunter, softly took your chin and pulled you back to his lips, giving you a fiercer kiss than what you gave him. It felt amazing, to finally have his lips caress yours in a way you’d only had imagined prior to today. His were slightly chapped yet soft, pressing to yours softly as you keened for more.
Hunter pulled you onto his lap, having you straddle his hips to have a better angle to kiss you. His hands met your hips, lightly pulling you down to meet his pelvis. Your kisses eventually became heated, as your hands pulled at his chest plate, wanting it off.
Moving to your neck, leaving little kisses and bruises, Hunter whispered into your skin, “Should we head back to the ship?”
Smiling, you pulled his hair lightly to bring his lips back to yours. “Oh, kriff yes!”
Hunter smirked, lifting you up from the ground. You wrapped your legs around his torso so you wouldn’t fall.
You let your legs drop, so you could run to the ship. You pulled Hunter along, you both laughing the whole 5 minutes to the ship. Hunter captured your lips once again as you walked up the gangplank. Your brain was turning to mush, and you quickly locked the ship down, lest one of the boys return before getting your message.
Hunter kissed down your neck, deftly pulling your breastplate off, letting it fall to the floor. One by one, armour came off and blacks were slipped off. Your breastband was left on as Hunter laid you onto his bunk. His large hands moved up and down your body, almost as if he was trying to memorize what your skin felt like. He leaned down, capturing your lips once again, caressing your skin before hooking your leg over his hip. He rolled his hips into your pelvis, creating friction for you against your clit.
You let out a moan, so sinful Hunter could’ve cum right there. His hands moved up to your breasts, pulling the band up and off. Kneading your left breast, his mouth descended onto your right. Tongue circling your nipple, causing gasps and moans to escape your mouth. He was so talented with his mouth. How was he so talented with his mouth? In all your time with the Batch they never brought a single woman back. How was he so good?
One hand left your breast and travelled down to your clit. Hunter gently pressed one finger against it before circling it. Your back arched off the bed, begging for more. Chuckling, Hunter removed his fingers, licking them clean of your juices.
“You don’t think I’d let you come that easy?”
Whining, you pulled him closer to you again, wanting to feel him close to you again. You kissed him hard, flipping the two of you over so you straddled him. Your hand slid up from his neck into his hair, pulling his bandana from his head. You tied it back around your neck, just loose enough you could put it in your mouth if needed.
Hunter smirked, loving the image of his bandana in your mouth. Groaning, he felt your hand caress his cock. Deftly, up, and down but never actually wrapping your hand around. You were teasing him, just as he teased you. You took it a step further, slowly sliding off him until you knelt on the cold metal floor of the Marauder. Hunter sat up, confused until he felt your hand caress him again. Only this time, he felt something warm and wet. Your tongue had felt up from the base and circled around his tip. He was in heaven, feeling your skilled mouth on his. You always had a smart mouth, but dear gods had he known your other skill sets sooner, he would’ve told the GAR to kriff themselves and take you for himself.
Sucking softly, you bobbed your head, wanting to give Hunter all the pleasure he deserved. His hand slid into your hair, gripping by your scalp causing a little moan to come out of you. His hips started to thrust gently into the back of your throat, groans turned into soft grunts, and he quickly pulled you off him.
You looked up, wondering if you had hurt him at all but he quickly pulled you up into a kiss.
“If you had done that anymore, I would’ve come down your throat,” he growled.
“Maybe that was my plan,” you smirked.
He threw you back onto the bunk, finally having enough teasing. He crawled back on top of you, kissing fiercely. He pulled up and grasped his throbbing cock. He rubbed some of your arousal on before slowly pushing into you. You cried out in ecstasy, so loud Hunter pulled the bandana from your neck into your mouth. It was a good look for you he decided.
He slowly started to thrust in and out, relishing in how you felt around him. Warm and soft, yet you clenched around him so sweetly. You had no idea how much pleasure you’d be in but all you knew was you were on another place of pleasurable existence. You met each one of his thrusts, feeling a delicious friction against your clit. You felt that knot in your belly growing tighter and tighter, the heat between your legs growing hotter and hotter.
You could tell Hunter was getting close as well. His hips were starting to stutter but he didn’t stop. His hand travelled down to your clit and rubbed furiously. The overstimulation causing that band inside to snap and break. You saw white behind your eyes, pulling Hunter in for a kiss.
His hips stuttered once more, and you felt warmth coat your insides. Hunter collapsed on top of you, careful not to squish you with his body weight. You both stayed like that for a moment before he rolled off you. He pulled you into his side, relishing in your closeness. Humming in contentment, you snuggled closer, wrapping your leg over one of his.
Hunter absentmindedly caressed you shoulder with his fingers, loving the feeling of you next to him.
“You think the others got our message yet?”
You chuckled. “I’d be surprised if Tech did not get our message. He never takes his eyes off his datapad.”
“Very true… Wanna go again?”
You smiled against his chest. “In a minute. I just want to lay here a moment.”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Echo was watching Wrecker show off his strength to some locals when all their comms beeped with a message from Hunter.
You might wanna avoid the Marauder for a few hours. We have some more things to discuss ;)
Groaning, Echo settled in for the night in his seat, waiting for Wrecker to switch weights until they got a comm, saying your “talk” was finished.
“It was only a matter of time,” Tech reasoned. “They’ve been pining for years now.”
Echo grimaced, knowing Tech was correct. This was gonna be a long night.
I hope you enjoyed it! Hopefully my writing is a bit better than last time!
As always, criticism is welcome as long as it's kind and constructive.

Royal Flowers Chapter 5
series masterlist
prev | next
pairing: anakin skywalker x fem!reader
series summary: A long, long, time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, a certain Jedi by the name of Anakin Skywalker meets you, the current Queen of Naboo and cousin of Padme Amidala, and is tasked with protecting you by pretending to marry you. As a spy, you’ve infiltrated the Separatist ranks and are close to finding out the mastermind behind all of it. The fate of the galaxy is in your hands.
warnings: minors dni! ageless blogs dni! none this chapter but the series will have eventual smut, canon-level violence and just general warnings.
a/n: this chapter is a leettle short (2k words) but i hope you guys still enjoy ! just a reminder that next week’s chapter will be up, as usual, on friday, and then i’ll take a break until about sept 8th. would appreciate your comments and reblogs, because that’s what really motivates me to keep writing . anyways thanks for reading!
You’re getting stronger. It’s been a few months since you started training, and Anakin can see it in the way you carry yourself— self assured, unafraid to take up space. When the two of you spar, you’re faster— not to his level, of course, but you’re a hard worker and quick to pick up the patterns needed for sparring. You parry and deflect most of his blows— not perfect, which is why he’s still here, but you’re getting good at it. He’s also been working on strength training with you, using the Force to add resistance and the feeling of weight as you quickly build up muscle. Reyna hasn’t entered without knocking since that first day, having forcefully learned her lesson. It gives you both enough time to situate yourselves without suspicion— the flushed skin and sweat gives indication to other activities. Anakin’s handsomeness certainly doesn’t hurt the cause, either. Not that you think that he’s handsome, but you could certainly see why others would think he’s handsome. A swoon worthy smile, that strong-set jaw and the dimple in his chin that you sometimes want to press your thumb to.
But really, he’s not that handsome to you.
The two of you currently stand on the edges of the bed, arms locked in position as you anticipate his moves.
“Steady,” he murmurs, looking you straight in the eyes. It’s distracting, the way he looks at you, and you watch his tongue trace the top of his bottom lip before your eyes flick back to his. The world outside of the two of you is quiet and still, and you can hear your heart beating in your ears as you plan your moves. Your eyes dart over Anakin, assessing each part of him— his stance shows nothing, but you wait for him to give. The second he shifts his balance you move quickly, kicking your foot out to throw him onto the bed. You quickly straddle him, pinning him down.
“I win,” you laugh, patting Anakin’s shoulder as you get off of him.
“Just ‘cos I let you,” he fires back. He sits up and the two of you breathe heavy in exhaustion— you’d been practicing combat for about forty minutes, since well before sunrise. You realize just now how tired you are but you know you can’t lay down— if you lay down, you won’t come back up for at least another two hours. You find yourself leaning towards Anakin’s shoulder, pressing your cheekbone into it sleepily.
“Hope this is okay,” you yawn, shutting your eyes as you try to rest uncomfortably on Anakin’s shoulder. He doesn’t say anything in response, allowing you your peace as he stays uncomfortably still. Then he calls your name softly, like he’s afraid to wake you up.
“Can’t you just rest a little extra for one day?” He asks you as you straighten up, moving away from him as you head to freshen up. You smile at him, knowing he’s just looking out for your best interests, but the idea appeals to you. You’d like nothing better than to just stay in bed for a little longer. It almost scares you now that the idea of rest and peace is tied with Anakin, but it only makes sense. He may maintain a respectful distance when sleeping but he’s still there, every night. Sometimes, the two of you will talk—you’ll ask him whether he’d prefer to be a Bantha or a Shaak, if he’d rather live in Dagobah for the rest of his life or die (he said he’d rather die). He’ll tell you about the little he remembers from before the Order, the things Shmi used to say to him when he was sad, especially when work overwhelmed you.
Being around him constantly has speedtracked your friendship. Being around him is the most natural thing in the world now— months of eating together, doing paperwork together, sharing a room together has made you appreciate the man that Anakin Skywalker is. You appreciate his humor and sharp wit when you’re complaining about the latest diplomatic failure, and you appreciate his dedication when he’s helping you on a project that you’re getting no help for. So far, he’s successfully helped you plan several water projects, allowing the residents of Naboo to access fresh water easily. He’s also used his contacts with Jar-Jar to help you understand the customs of the Gungans, allowing you to strike up a treaty with them where you’d come to their defense and they to yours when the need arises. Honestly, even from a purely political standpoint, you couldn’t have done this past few months without him.
A knock on the door stops you before you can get undressed for the shower. You peek your head out of the bathroom, making eye contact with an equally confused Anakin, who quickly slides under the bed covers to feign sleep. Reyna pops her head in, suspicious eyes assessing the room before she looks at you.
“You’re being summoned,” She whispers. Fear threatens to show but you hide it, schooling your face into total neutrality before you nod and smile, crossing over to Anakin’s supposedly sleeping body to press a lover’s kiss to his hair. For strength or for show, you don't know which. And then you leave, putting up your armor for the meeting with Darth Sidious.
~~~
“Your work has thus been sufficient. The approval of the modified skycraft will allow for future plans. And the supplied documentation of current trade agreements allows us to truly use Naboo,” the hooded figure’s garbled speech says. The hologram stares deep into your soul, and you hope that you can hide your secrets well enough. You nod, careful in your displayed response. Too much and you’ll raise suspicion— nobody likes a sycophant. Not enough, and they’ll wonder why you don’t care. You’ll be assassinated before you can blink. Neutrality, with a hint of graciousness.
“Thank you, Darth Sidious.”
“In a week’s time, there will be a massive battle between the Separatists and the Naboo Civilian Force. You will allow your people to be massacred,” He says calmly, as if he’s not discussing the murder of your people. Your outrage is hard to swallow, but you nod, breathing slowly from your nose to try and calm yourself.
“Will the people not question why I did not request for the Republic’s assistance?” You ask, clenching your fists as you try to dam your nervous fidgeting. Don’t show weakness. Don’t show weakness.
You can see his smile from under the cloak, sinister and haunting and it makes your stomach turn.
“Unfortunately, the Republic will be otherwise occupied. Oh, it’s such a shame how busy our forces get, isn’t it?” He says before the transmission cuts.
You’re disturbed, but there’s one little thing, one little slip that you’ve latched on to.
Darth Sidious said our.
~~~
“It could be nothing,” you muse, catching the inside of your lip between your teeth as you fret. “Or it could be the key to his identity.”
“Stop,” Anakin interrupts you, an edge to his voice present. “You mean to tell me that there’s going to be a massacre, with civilians involved, and you’re going to do nothing about it?”
“Anakin, it’s not that black and white,” You sigh, frustrated.
“No, no, it is that simple. Because you’re going to plan out exactly where to position your people so they can be killed easier. All those good people, dying, and all of it was preventable,” He says in disbelief.
“Oh, and what would you have me do?” You retort in frustration. “I should, what, directly disobey Darth Sideous, lose his trust, jeopardize the whole mission, and end up getting both of us killed?” You bite out. He’s not understanding. You don’t want to allow it to happen. In fact, it feels like a knife to the gut— the knowledge that you, as a leader, are failing your people in the most essential way. You’re going to let them be slaughtered and you know it’s wrong. You’re failing, but if you do anything to change it, to prevent their deaths, you’ll fail at your mission for the past eight years. Your greatest loyalty, at the end of the day, isn’t to your people, but the greater good of the galaxy.
“Well what’s the point of you being in this position then? It’s not like you’re doing anything. You’re not any closer to finding out who Darth Sidious really is. How do I know that you’re not really a Separatist, who just pulled me along as a cover to get away with all of it!” His accusation makes you reel back in shock.
“Come on, Anakin, that doesn’t even make sense!” You exclaim. This whole thing is so unfair, you want to scream. “You need to trust me. Without you, I’ve got nothing.”
“If Padme was here, she would have done the right thing,” He mutters, disgusted, and leaves for the bathroom. The comparison to Padme stings a little, and you can’t help the slight burst of resentment towards Padme. She always got the choice to do the right thing. You didn’t. You didn’t ask to be a spy— it was a responsibility thrust upon you, one that you couldn’t simply reject. It’s your burden to bear, but you don’t need Anakin adding to that burden. For a brief moment, you wonder if it would have been better to get Obi-Wan instead. Yes, he would’ve been older, and more known, and there’s not a chance you would’ve gotten through with the plan, but you wish you had his careful, practiced demeanor to guide you through instead of Anakin’s brash reaction.
You sit with your head in your hands for a minute before you muster up the strength to leave the room, guilt and shame heavy on your shoulders.
“You look upset, princess. Lover’s spat?” Reyna’s voice suffocates you as you open the door, and you whip around to see her leaning against the palace walls. “Not now, Reyna. I don’t have the energy,” you grumble, just wanting to get as far as possible from her. Unfortunately, she steps closer to you, placing her palm on your spine as she walks alongside you.
“I never wanted you to take this position,” she sighs. Her fingertips are digging into your flesh, clawing around your spine and you want to scream as panic swells within you. “Didn’t think you were serious about it. After all,” she says, sliding her hand away from your spine, “your lovely cousin hasn’t exactly made her love for us known, has she?” Reyna laughs.
“Reyna, don’t hold the sins of my cousin against me. She doesn’t represent me, we’ve been over this,” you growl, stepping away from her. The action is futile, for she walks you into the wall of the corridor, staring into your eyes as she presses your shoulder to the wall.
“You don’t get to choose your blood. But you do get to choose your lovers. And it’s mighty interesting that your husband,” Reyna spits out, “happens to have eyes for just her whenever she’s around. There’s something off about you, and I’ll find out what it is. And when I do?” She smiles, tracing your jaw with the back of her hand, knuckles caressing your skin. “Don’t forget how easy it is to cover up a death. Could even frame your darling husband.”
Before you can get a word in otherwise she’s gone, walking briskly away from you as you stand stunned against the wall. You don’t know why Reyna suspects your relationship with Anakin despite all the time you spend together and the times she’s caught you looking like you’ve just finished a rather steamy session with Anakin. The optics of it are perfect, but you suppose Reyna never trusted you.
You’ve reached an impasse. There’s no way around it; you can’t risk counteracting the Sith’s plan lest you and Anakin wind up dead. But the ethical dilemma of it weighs on your shoulders, and the thought of alienating Anakin terrifies you.
Because you’re not sure you’ll ever get him back.

A World Between Worlds
Sith!Luke Skywalker x reader
Summary: Picking up the pieces of your shattered soul, the very bonds of space and time open to give you a new experience you never thought was possible.
Word Count: 989
Warning(s): MEGA ANGST, HEARTBREAK AND SADNESS, panic attacks, mentions of depression, (the reader nearly loses hope), brief action and violence, descriptions of injuries, R2 being a resourceful droid, brief exile, love conquers all.
A/N: The new Ashoka ep just gave me so much inspiration for Luke! If you are uncomfortable with ANY of the warnings, then DNI!! Feedback is appreciated and enjoy!

The very air you breathed was taken from your lungs the second you collapsed to your knees. Your entire body went numb as your mind remained blank, as if you couldn't process what just happened. The Grand Admiral stood before you with his new colleague.
Rather, his new Apprentice.
The farm boy turned Jedi Master was now his to control. To do whatever; conquer all that he wished. And there was nothing you could do.
*****
Descending to a familiar place, your feet stumbled underneath you whilst you ripped the orange and white jumpsuit from your body. Dropping the pieces of equipment on the swampy terrain, your dark ebony robes were finally free to flow gracefully with your erratic movements. Snatching the pilot helmet from your head, you threw it to the floor as tears began to well in your eyes.
Feeling your knees buckle beneath you, you refused to fall. Instead, you stood tall and suddenly became overwhelmed at the memories resurfacing of your previous adventure to this marsh. Balling your fists, you couldn't take it anymore. A scream left your chapped lips and you sank to the forest's floor, unable to contain yourself.
Gently covering your heart, your palm began to shake, and you could feel the muscle itself grow weaker and weaker.
He had succumbed to the Dark Side before your own eyes. The man you loved, the only other person in the entire Galaxy who understood what it meant to be a Jedi. Your other half, your shared Force Bond had vanished. Luke Skywalker was gone.
The moment your throat began to ache, the scream had subsided, echoing into the forest; and it was loud enough to be heard across the Galaxy. A series of sobs filled your face and you quietly hugged yourself in silence. The sound of your continuous wails were strong enough to make the Outer Rim sense a hint of sadness in the air, changing the once sunny weather into a cloudy day that eventually sent raging storms to Naboo.
Lowering your head to your chest, your cold tears dripped to the mossy ground below, and the constant rattling of a faithful droid calling to you brought you back. Quickly wiping the tears from your cheeks, you extended your dominant hand, and reached out with the Force.
"Sorry, R2. Let's get you out of there." You manage to say.
Carefully lifting R2 from his spot behind the cockpit of the X-Wing, a searing pain tore through your delicate chest, causing you to drop the droid in the process.
Falling to the ground, you gripped at your heart between your breasts, writhing in pain. Screaming at the pin-prickling, a very faint glow of white light lit up the forest above your body. He leaned over the sleek desk in agony, sharing the same pain you were enduring. Gripping at his chest, the same light hovered above his limp body, and the Admiral ordered that no one touch the young Master.
Then in a flash, the light snapped and cracked like an ornate glass vase. Your shared Bond, conceived from the Force itself, broke in an instant. And you could no longer sense each other as darkness filled your vision, forcing you to sleep.
*****
Dagobah's greenery shifted along with your unending sorrow as you continued to keep a hand over your healing chest. Lying beneath the comfort of your dark cloak, your fingertips hovered over a new patch of green moss on a nearby log. Your exile felt right, but you couldn't deny the longing for your friends. You didn't want to risk putting them in danger, so you remained alone for two months.
Turning to face R2, his whirls and beeps remain cheerful, and you smirk at his never-ending efforts to make you feel better. Shifting your hand to rest on his colorful switches and lights, his cold metal exterior never fails to feel welcoming.
"I'm so sorry, R2. I'm sorry that I couldn't save him. I wasn't strong enough. I'll never be strong enough to save him now. ...I'm all alone." You apologize, letting your hand sink beside you.
Closing your eyes, you beg for sleep to take over your sore body. But instead, the voices of those who came before fill your ears.
"You're not alone, Y/N. You never will be."
"Been by your side, we have been."
Shifting to your back, you open your e/c orbs to find yourself staring at the infinite sea of stars in the Galaxy. Your brows furrow together as you sit up, gazing around for R2, but he's nowhere to be found. Standing on the holographic ocean waves, your lips par at the sight before you. All the myths and legends were true. It was real.
The World Between Worlds.
Where space and time bend their wills and form an alliance like no other. Just like your broken Force Bond, all things come together. Gazing over your shoulder, the whispers of past guidance flow with the nature of this sacred place.
"Luke?" You call out.
Slowly turning around, your friend's presence fills the air. His cloaked form stands tall before you, and he removes his hood to reveal his icy blue eyes. Sprinting towards him, Luke welcomes you with open arms and holds you tight.
He had returned to you as the Jedi Master you knew and loved. Your shared embrace seemed to heal all of your wounds and mend your broken heart.
"I'm so sorry. I'm sorry, Y/N. I don't know what came over me -- why I left you. But I managed to escape Thrawn." Luke explains, taking your cheeks in his hands.
"Oh, Luke. Why-- Why did you do..." You try to speak, but can't.
"I know, I know. But I'm here now. I'm all yours, for now and forever." Luke confesses, pressing his forehead to yours, beginning to rebuild your Force Bond in this quiet oasis.

Best Kept Secret
chapter one : honeymoon
THIS SERIES HAS BEEN MOVED AND RE-UPLOADED TO ANOTHER ACCOUNT. WHICH CAN BE FOUND HERE. THIS POST STILL EXISTS AS AN ARCHIVE BUT THIS ACCOUNT IS NO LONGER ACTIVE!!
pairing : bodyguard!Din Djarin x afab!princess!reader
rating : 18+ mdni
word count : 6.7k
summary : you've been married off to a far away prince, turns out, he isn't your prince charming. however he did gift you a bodyguard as a wedding present.
warnings, etc.

The Handmaiden

As Padme's handmaiden and decoy, you expect there to be a few mishaps, a few mix-ups. Especially when you're in the full Queen's garb and makeup. What you don't expect is the newly made Jedi Knight to make that mistake. The accident leaves your head spinning for more reasons than you want.
Anakin Skywalker X Reader Word Count: 1400 Warnings: Mildly dubious consent, mistaken identity, forced kiss/groping/grinding
The Queen was utilizing you an awful lot these days. You sat upon her couch, scrolling through a datapad of her latest emails, dressed in full Naboo royal garb and makeup. All to await a few delegates that Padme hated dealing with. You offered to take her place but it was your job to take her place, not that you wanted to. The task was just as grueling for you. Made so because per Padme’s decree, you had to remain pacifistic while in her place. There were a few on the Senate who didn’t deserve pacifism. Not when they continued to treat you- Padme , as a child.
You all didn’t fight in retaking Naboo from the Trade Federation and their droid army to be treated so disrespectfully. How Padme could stand it was a mystery.
The emails were to try and distract you until the time came to humor Hasana, Torie and Jen-ros. The three were all close ‘friends’, if that was a word that could be used among senate members, and wanted to make Padme a forth and their whipping girl. The agitation was building in you with each passing minute. A small headache starting to form, and it would only get worse when they arrived.
The bell rang on the door and it surprised you. They shouldn’t be here for another thirty minutes. You were alone in the Queens quarters because the trio complained in the past about all the handmaidens being a distraction from the gossip. You strongly disagreed with Padme being left alone with them, but that got circumvented when you took her place. The others were all gone to lunch with Padme, leaving you to begrudgingly answer it, hoping it was anyone else.
As the sliding doors opened, you were surprised to see Anakin of all people. Though you kept calm, you did feel a heat warming your cheeks at the sight of him. “I’m surprised to see you here. Is everything alright?”
You hated to admit it even to yourself, but he had grown quite handsome in the time apart. For so long you only remembered him as that high-spirited and charitable little boy. Even then his adoration of Padme was clear. You were there when he asked if she was an angel, and you had to stifle your laughter, teasing Padme about it for years. When Obi-wan introduced him as his padawan, well, she got the opportunity to mock you in return as you couldn’t stop mentioning how tall he was and how much he’s changed, clear awe and captivation in your eyes. Though, that had come to a stop recently. And you were perceptive of all your Queen’s changes and attitudes.
Anakin strode in, glancing around the room. His intense energy made you nervous. “Is anyone else here?”
“No. But a group of delegates will be arriving in about thirty minutes.”
He sighed, “Good. I need you.”
“What-” You barely took in his words out of confusion, barely got your question out before suddenly his lips were covering yours, his hands cupping your neck to hold you against him. Your shock came as an audible moan because he was pressed so tightly against your mouth, clinging feverishly.
So, this was why Padme had been acting so strangely lately. A secret affair with a newly made Jedi Knight? What was she thinking?!
As much as it, well, it did feel nice to be kissed with such intense desire, you stumbled back trying to get a breath in to explain you weren’t Padme. Anakin followed you step by step, until your back hit the wall and he locked you against it, his kisses fast and deep. They were delightfully suffocating. His hands dropped to your body, feeling you through the Queen’s dress. Buried under the layers your skin was alight with sensation. His touch, his body pinning you, his kisses wetting your lips and each smack burning hot in your ears because you knew. You had to stop him. None of it was for you. Misunderstanding or not, it would wound Padme if she stumbled on this.
“I haven’t stopped thinking about you, not for a moment.” Every hushed word brushed your damp lips, every few punctuated with another kiss, as if he was deliberately trying to stop you from talking in reply. You clung to his jedi robes, unable to stop the pleasured whimper that bubbled up your throat when he pressed his thigh between yours, your core aching in response. A hot sigh ghosted down your chin, his words ever more desperate, as if he might cry if you told him to stop. “I’m sorry- I’m sorry, I know you said to take things slow, but I need you so badly.”
Your breath was quick, finding your voice and it sounded so small, “A-Anakin I’m-”
He swallowed your words on his tongue, a thrill hitting you hard as the silk waves languidly ran along your own. Coaxing you to fall deeper into him. Filling your head with a weightless light. Your eyes rolled back and fluttered as he ground against you, drinking you up. Your skin was tingling, your body wanting to press into his relentless attention. You’d be melting on the floor if he wasn’t holding you.
But this needed to end before he tried to go any further. With numb hands, you pushed on his chest but Anakin was a solid wall, and he only dug in more, bowing down to practically lift you off the floor in his tight embrace. Your hands slipped a little higher, pushing against his shoulders and slowly he started to relent. You managed to push him off enough to barely call out, “Mm-mnot Padme!”
Finally, it gave him pause. Anakin took back. His eyes blew wide open with horror before throwing himself back from you. He covered his mouth, his face blooming red. “Oh! Oh I’m so sorry!”
You were in no better state, your whole body burning, the queenly voice gone and a nervous giggle lacing your every word, “A misunderstanding is bound to happen. That’s what all the make up is for, after all.” It didn’t seem to calm him any, looking around the room as if he’d been set up and Padme might jump out at any moment. “Really Anakin, it’s nothing to worry about it. A genuine accident.”
Anakin was struggling to catch his breath, unable to look at you he was so mortified, unable to stop moving around and fidgeting as he tried to deal with all that energy he stirred up. “I’m very sorry if I frightened you, or made you uncomfortable-”
“It’s nothing, really! An understandable accident. I won’t hold it against you.” You smiled to him but you couldn’t stop smiling. Either by nerves or all the adrenaline now pumping through your body. With a hand over your stomach, flutters and quick thudding making you a little nauseous, you went to the desk and explained. “There’s a few delegate’s on their way that Padme can’t stand, so I’m sitting in for her. She went to have lunch at a nearby restaurant- uh, here.” You grabbed a spare datapad and typed in the coordinates, handing it to him and hoping he didn’t notice the slight trembling of the pad.
“Thank you.” He practically whispered, looking it over, all his concentration on the directions. You could see the lump in his throat bob as he swallowed thickly, and you wondered what you might taste like to him, a fresh flush hitting you for thinking such a thing at all. He could only give you the briefest glance and nod before turning to leave.
“Uh- um-” When Anakin looked back, you hesitantly handed him a handkerchief. “You’ve got some of the uh, makeup on you.”
Red and white smeared on his lips and chin, a bit on his cheek. He’d tried to wipe it away earlier, maybe more concerned with how wet the makeout had gotten, but it clung steadily. The blush came back in full bloom as Anakin went to the nearest mirror and thoroughly wiped the evidence away. Bashfully, he came and handed the stained handkerchief back. “You might want to-”
He motioned to his now clean face and you could only imagine the state your makeup was in. Your face burned as you looked down, “Y-yes. Of course.”
As he walked away, you very nearly said, say hi to Padme for me , and quickly realized that was maybe not the thing to bring up after what just happened. But it was only an accident. It didn’t mean anything. Anakin said nothing as he left. The last you saw of him was getting back in the elevator and rubbing down his blushing red face with both hands.
So you can stop it here or continue on with the story on A03 The Handmaiden
It's slow burn af, just so you know! I think some will enjoy it as just a little ditty, but if you enjoyed it at all, I'd love to know!

Count Dooku x Dressmaker Fem Reader
One shot | 3368 words | Smut & Romance | Age Gap
A/N: Bestie @dookuswifey has a lot of big feelings about the Old Man, so I had to write here a little treat using The Prompt List.
Prompts:
11. "Spend the night with me." 28. "Each of my thoughts about you are important." 34. "I'm afraid I can no longer remain professional." 38. "I'll let you do anything if you just touch me now."
It'd been some time since you arrived in Serenno to work as a tailor. Fresh out from the University of Naboo, you caught the eye of the person in charge of looking for new personnel for the palace. They noticed the love and care you put into each of your designs and your attention to detail and immediately contacted your teacher about an open position in the palace. You didn't expect an offer like that at all, humble as you were about your craft. But the last thing you thought was that you would be serving the one and only Count Dooku.
He had been a Jedi and was a respected politician and aristocrat. Those were the things you knew about him before flying to your new planet. In his public appearances, he was always elegant and well-spoken, and maybe you thought he was actually a very attractive man. But from what you knew, you would be just one of the numerous tailors and seamstresses working for him. You probably won't meet him ever.
At your arrival, your anxiety about fitting in with the other personnel of the palace spiked, but everyone was so nice to you. Being the youngest on the staff, soon you felt welcomed and everyone tried to help you. The palace was indeed beautiful and your quarters were quite decent for a servant, with lots of natural light and a soft bed. You wondered how your working day would look while unpacking your belongings.
The next day, a protocol droid showed up at your door to walk you to your workshop. It was a huge room with lots of sewing machines. Some of your coworkers were already starting with the sewing projects they had in hand. Then the droid showed you where everything you needed was, and you could admire the fine materials you would be working with. In the centre of the room, there was a circular platform surrounded by ornate mirrors to make the fittings. Everything looked classy and expensive there, from the wood flooring to the chandelier. Finally, you were shown to your personal workstation, and the droid went through every tool there and the sewing patterns that were most used. You also noticed a huge sewing mannequin that was obviously custom-made, since it wasn't the standard men’s one. The droid gave you a notebook with a thorough compilation of measurements and sketches from the previous dressmaker. It told you they had to retire due to arthritis and you felt bad for them since they looked like an organised person who had put a lot of thought into their craft.
The droid bowed to you and excused itself after explaining everything everything you asked, and shortly you were left on your own. You introduced yourself to the seamstresses and explored a bit on your own until a different droid came to you.
"Master Dooku requests your presence in the breakfast room." Your blood froze inside your veins, absolutely not expecting that. Checking your hair in one of the mirrors, you rapidly gathered pins, measuring tape and the notebook the previous tailor left for you. But for your confusion, the droid said that such tools won't be needed. You felt like throwing up while you followed it through the quiet corridors under the morning light.
The holos didn't do him justice, it was your first thought entering the room. The was sitting with a display of various choices of breakfast, the place service being the most delicate you had ever seen. His gorgeous side profile looked godly illuminated by the morning, and you had to actively hide your admiration for your new employer. He left the holopad he was reading when he noticed you, and stood up to his full height to receive you.
"Good morning young lady, it's a pleasure to have someone of your skill joining my team." His voice was deep and he had constant eye contact with you. You thought you'd break under his gaze like one of the delicate glasses on the table.
"The pleasure is mine, Count Dooku. I'm honoured to have joined the palace staff." You didn't know how you had put together so many words, but he nodded satisfied with your answer.
"Please, sit with me and serve yourself." He indicated with a broad hand. "Coffee or tea?"
"I actually prefer hot cocoa, thank you." Your brain must had glitched, because how the hell you were commenting on your personal preferences to an aristocrat who happened to be your boss? You started to panic, but he surprised you with a belly laugh.
"Our new dressmaker has a sweet tooth." And someone in the way he said it made you feel things you shouldn't about your boss. A droid appeared with a actual pot of fresh hot cocoa for you and you thanked it thoroughly, enjoying the warm beverage in silence while your heart was beating like a crazy horse.
"Now that we've eaten, let's talk about your job requirements." He said after finishing his breakfast, cleaning his moustache with a cloth napkin. You listened attentively while he communicated to you his main preferences and necessities regarding his wardrobe. You couldn't stop wondering about why his valet wasn't the person meeting you for this, but maybe Count Dooku was the kind of man that wanted to attend to all his business personally. He definitely looked like that.
He needed a new cape, three tunics and a special outfit for the upcoming Life Day gala, so you will be busy. He told you that he trusted your fabric choices and that you would be able to comment with his valet his preferred silhouettes and the dress code of the gala.
"Let me walk you to the workshop." He offered after both of you were down commenting on the specifics of your job. In your stroll until there, he commented on some architectural facts that you found really interesting.
"Again, it's a pleasure to have such a skilled young woman as my personal dressmaker." You had been guessing it by now, but he had made it clear. Anyone had told you before accepting the job there you'll be his personal tailor. Maybe they thought that you could be intimidated by it, you couldn't know.
"The pleasure is mine sir, I hope my work fulfils your likes and needs." You responded politely in a small voice. Then to your surprise, Count Dooku kissed your hand as a farewell, and left you at the door in a twirl of his cape.
What had just happened? and why was your heart beating that fast?
The first fitting
You had busted your ass to create something incredible to Count Dooku and now the first fiting was here. You haven't seen him since your breakfast together, but maybe it was for the better. The man had the capacity to make you feel weak on the knees and you needed a cold head to fulfil this project. The reality was that you recalled that first encounter every day, sighing like a teenager and imagining the big mannequin was him. Pathetic, you thought.
But the day arrived and he was there in his full glory. The other tailors and seamstress were on their time off and it was just the two of you. He smiled widely at your sight and then stepped on the room. You first showed him the cape and the tunics, the less complicated projects, and he was delighted with your progress.
"You're working at an amazing pace young lady, I hope you're not overdoing it though." He commented, a frown of worry adorning his forehead. You laughed tired, it was true you had been working extra hard.
"Don't worry about me sir, my only goal is to have your suit in time, the rest is important."
"Each of my thoughts about you are important," he responded in a commanding, but gentle voice. You stopped what you were doing absolutely stunned. You knew you shouldn't be looking at him like that but you had turned to stone. He then cleared his throat. "What I mean is that I care for your well-being and I wouldn't want you overworking yourself." His clarification didn't make much to stop your crazy heart and you didn't know how to act now.
"That's very kind of you, sir." You responded submissively, not looking at him in the eye. His presence was everywhere, but it was only going to get worse. Your throat was dry. "Could you try your suit now sir?" Your petition came in the smallest voice, but he nodded and went up the fitting platform obediently.
You were actively trying not to touch him too much, but Maker, you were his tailor. From the expanse of his chest to his strong arms you started to learn every part of his clothed body so well. You could see your reflection and your cheekbones were burning. He now was silent and observed you working around. The platform made you even tinier next to him, and that was exactly how you felt.
"Do you like it, sir?" You asked shyly after the full suit was finally on display over his broad body.
"Is perfect dear," he responded turning around to admire your design. By now all your face was a violent red, but it became even worse "Good job." Just the two words of praise made you melt and you were sure right now he had noticed.
"I'm happy to serve you in any way I can, sir," you responded, and you'd swear you saw his gaze darkening for a moment.
"I'll just need you to adjust the design to be able to hang my sabre, if that is okay." He asked with a deeper voice than before.
"Of course! Just tell me where." You responded, eager to improve your design to his needs. To fulfil the strong need you felt to please this man.
What happened next just made your brain glitch. Dooku grabbed your hand and slowly, positioned it in the part of his hip where he preferred his lightsaber to be. Your mouth went dry.
"There." He indicated, and you nodded flustered, running to make annotations to position the holster. Your hand burnt.
While you did so, he redressed and your firing session was over.
"I can have the design change in one week."
"Don't overwork yourself though." He was adjusting his cape but wasn't getting it well so you helped with it standing on your tippy toes.
"Thanks, dear," his gaze was fixated on you, between his lashes his pupils won't stop registering your little hands going over the cape clasp.
Ready to go sir, is there something more you need?" Your big doe eyes are so eager to help that you have been messing with Count Dookz that's the only explanation to his petition.
"Spend the night with me," he blurted and you opened your mouth in disbelief. Had you heard wrong? "I mean, the gala, would you accompany me, miss?" He clarified, and you sighed in relief because it couldn't be what you first thought.
"I can't see how you would want to be accompanied by a plain dressmaker sir, even though I'll accompany you if that's your wish." You responded in your most diplomatic way, trying to not scream internally. "Nevertheless, I don't have a gown to wear to such an event." Your pout made Dooku's heart shiver and that's the only explanation for why he caressed your cheek next for a brief moment.
"Don't worry about that, darling." And after kissing your hand like he did the first time, he disappeared followed by his cape.
You had to take the rest of your day free to assimilate what had just happened between both of you.
The second fitting
To say you were nervous was the understatement of the cycle. As expected, you didn’t listen to him and busted your ass to create the perfect suit. That day, you even did your hair in a fancier updo and put your favourite dress on. Both of you had been coinciding briefly here and there, but in the end, you were staff so your routines were so different. He’d always smile at you during those encounters and even stop a moment even though he had important meetings to attend.
You were daydreaming looking through your room’s window, thinking about your next fitting session with him, when you saw it. You knew he had been a Jedi and you talked about his sabre, but you didn’t actually think he engaged in combat. That was until that day, your jaw dropped at the sight of Count Dooku training in the gardens with the sabre. The vision was magnetic. He looked so agile and strong going through the different feints he was practising. You noticed he was wearing one of the tunics you had designed for him. The garment fit him like a glove. You were mesmerized by the sight until you noticed he had stopped working out. And he was looking in your direction. It was impossible that he could see you in this distance but you felt weird, like he was just there with you. With your heartbeat spiking, you moved away from the window and continued preparing yourself for the day.
It was still soon in the morning when the protocol droid announced that Coun Dooku would be coming for his second fitting session that afternoon. You swallowed hard, eager to have a private moment with him again and even realized your perfume. A part of you felt silly because why an aristocrat would want to mess with you? But on the other hand, under his gaze, it was the first time you had felt truly seen. And then it was that strange moment this morning. You didn’t want to give it more thought, but it had felt weirdly intimate.
The afternoon arrived and your coworkers left and you started getting more and more nervous until the door finally opened.
“It’s nice to see you again young lady.” He had changed from the tunic you saw him with this morning and smelled incredible. You stood immediately and bowed in respect, but your hands were already trembling slightly.
“Welcome to the workshop sir. Shall we start the fitting?” He then eyed you from head to toe lazily, not moving an inch from where he was standing. The thing was that you were eager to have your hands all over him, even though it was supposed to be in a professional way.
“I can’t wait,” he responded in a raspy voice, and you wondered for one second if he was waiting for you to touch him too, but rapidly discarded that thought. This was strictly a professional physical touch and Count Dooku was just being nice. He went up the round platform and you rushed to get the suit and the pins. But this time, he wasn’t undressing and you looked at him quizically for a moment.
“Would you allow me, sir?” You asked, pointing at his cape, and he nodded. On your tiptoes, you found the clasp, and with the corner of your eye, you saw the reflection of you both and thought how good you looked together.
“Have you thought about my invitation, dear?” He asked as if he could read your mind. Moving away, you folded carefully the heavy cape and put it on a chair.
“I don’t have anything to wear to an event like that,” you responded carefully, turning again to face him.
“I’ll have the most beautiful dress crafted for you, sweet girl.”
Your eyes opened widely and your head started spiralling. Did he really want to bring you to the Gala as his companion? Why? You were a girl from a good Nabooian family, but nothing worthy of an aristocrat like him. While your brain was working on overdrive, he had been removing his tunic and was now only in a high-neck undershirt. You swallowed hard and it took all the self-restraint in yourself to not look at him like the eye candy he was.
“Why me?” You asked finally, your gaze fixated on your task of helping him with his new tunic. It fitted him perfectly, and you would be proud if it wasn't for the incessant pounding of your heart. Next, you went to grab the new belt to close his tunic and hang the lightsaber, trying to remain professional at all times. You offered it to him, but he just lifted his arms, indicating that he wanted you to put it.
“You have caught my eye, little lady.” You blushed incapable of looking at him. It wasn’t anything you already knew, but hearing it was a different deal.
“Can I put your belt now, sir?” You asked approximating him, feeling hotter and hotter. Count Dooku leaned over your shoulder and you felt his hot breath when he spoke.
"I'll let you do anything if you just touch me now." You actually squeaked at his words. Your eyes finally met his and they were dark and inviting, but you had a job to do. Putting your arms around his waist, you adjusted the new belt, but this time you didn’t avoid touching him but the contrary. Then, with trembling hands, you adjusted the tunic around it. Your hands started to travel to his ample chest and you looked at him in search of reassurance. He was looking at you with his mouth agape, eyes semi-opened and the most adoring look. It was the yes you needed before letting your hands roam through the expanse of his chest and shoulders. It was adorable how he let a deep sigh leave his lips as if he had been waiting for this as much as you. His desire fueled yours and made you feel bold, hands travelling south to the new belt again.
“I think everything fits well sir, do you feel comfortable?” You asked, keeping the illusion of professionalism. “Is the belt appropriate for your lightsaber?” With doe eyes, you looked at him while tugging at the belt casually, when you noticed how hard he was and your jaw dropped.
“To be honest, my pants are feeling a bit tight miss.” He purred and your mouth went completely dry.
“Let me fix that for you, sir,” and you actually put the little act of pretending you were adjusting his pants, even dropping to your knees. You could see his Adam’s apple move when he swallowed, his gaze not leaving yours for a moment. “I think I’ve found the problem,” you cooed and slowly stood up again caressing his outer thighs while doing it.
“Oh, yeah? And was is it dearn?”
You tilted your head and looked through your long lashes coquettish. Your little hands travelled again to find the waistband of his pants. Maker, he was even harder.
“The problem is…” You started tracing patterns with your thumbs over his hipbones. "I'm afraid I can no longer remain professional, Mr Dooku."
Your boss groaned and all hell broke loose. In a moment, he had manhandled you into the ample pattern table. He was nestled between your tights, your skirt hiked up and he looked so manly while needy over you.
“Is this what you want, little one?” He asked while kissing that soft spot behind your ear.
“Yes, oh yes, sir.·
Thanks to the Maker, the old piece of furniture was sturdy enough to endure the rest of the passionate fitting session.
You ended up accompanying Count Dooku to the Life Day gala, both of you looking radiant together in your tailor-made garments. All the eyes were on you, but you only could see the gorgeous man who was holding your arm the entire soiree. When the first notes of music started, he was fast to bow and ask you a dance, and you complied happily. That was only the first of the many events you would attend together. For every one of them, you would design the most amazing suit and he would gift you the prettiest gown. Everyone would talk behind your back, but the thing was you only had eyes for each other.
