Story of seasons friends of Mineral town: The Powertrip
I would like you to come back to a simpler time with me, dear reader. Do you remember Kanye's Power? Do you remember the mlp version? Around that time, I shared on this exact blog some cringey art reveling in exploiting the ruby spice farming trick to for the first time properly fun my wonderful life farm. Now and again, a bokumono game gives its players some way to break the game, but the friends of mineral town took it to a new level.
Okay, let's rewind. Amidst playing ANB, I became frazzled from the sheer amount of mechanics I had to keep track of. I have moved Yuri into town, but now I was struggling to complete restoration project 3. At some point, I messed up a day and took a step back. Now I have not kept track of switch games on my backlog, but this past winter, I was gifted fomt but had not touched it. Fomt was my first HM game and something I knew intimately since it was so straightforward. I decided to take a quick shot at it. Oh, how novel it was at the start.
Within one night's worth of work, I had basically become the kingpin of quaint Mineral Town.
I did not intend it, in fact I barely read anything major. Just some basic costs and a crop guide. However, during the first horse race, I was saving money for a new rucksack but now was unable to buy it. I take a look at the medal information and figure I'd try my luck at getting the power berry seeing as save scumming was much less tedious now. However instead, I ended up with a good number of broaches. That was when I made my first 50k.
Now you can ship the broaches just fine but I had learned of selling to Huang and figured I should befriend him for next time. Pretty much a day later I ended up with van's favorite (VF from here out) to which I believe is a new addition that you can sell to Huang for ~50k each.
Apparently, you get this every time your transaction count lands on a 10 in its count. Heavily exploitable, but you don't even need to try. So far I have received 3 without even trying and it's been more than enough money to basically complete the game.
By mid summer I had enough to pay for one of every animal, upgrade the house fully and furnish it fully, upgrade all weapons to max, and upgrade the barn and coop one level up AND buy the materials for that rather than slowly accrue it.
The thing is, I also had completed most of this by late spring. All the animals I needed and plenty of seeds, it was time to call upon the sprites. As one should know, sprites love flour, the easiest bribery ever. Had all seven won over in time to plant 90, yes 90, pineapples. And even more plants with that, about 10 of everything I could have at the moment. The money every couple of days was ludicrous. I was making thousands without some cheat. I was even smart enough to not hire all of them at once so there was always coverage. It was basically great assistance while I built up my skill with the watering can. Sadly not mythril yet but gold works fine.
So I'm living large, what now?
Well child me was not as good at patience with this game and would do dumb shit like make myself pass out and only talk with Karen. I guess it's time to befriend the town.
Now this time as I had remarked previously, I intended to marry Elli. Though as a divergence back up, I also confessed to the harvest goddess my interest and was giving some stuff to karen too. Oh, but there is romancable gift options? Darn, and the new guy has a boyfriend gift for you too. Oh wait, the game ENCOURAGES YOU to date all the singles. Yes. Bokumono outprogressed stardew valley in the same game that it first let you date same sex (not as a conditional feature). I mean, how can I say no to that? Why shouldn't I date the whole town before settling down? I WANT FREE HOUSE DECOR DAMMIT.
And boy have I achieved that. Guess what. Most singles have a really simple to get thing in their likes category. Most people in fact like store bought flour too as I've learned.
So now I am in early Fall, collecting various foliage and woeing some people to let me into their rooms and give me recipes. I am mostly waiting around to repeat my sudden wealth gain at the fall races but now with tens of thousands instead of the previous 3k I had at the time. It would take roughly 5000 broaches to buy that cabin from Gotz, although that doesn't factor material or if they'll let me keep that many broaches. Moreover I'm holding out for the free beach house at 150 gifts to which should come in fall of next year if I am pious.
But what's most on my mind is buying my first dog and learning cooking so I can spend the winter lake mining for kappa jewels, some of each gem, and the power berry. If I get the cursed tools as well is up in the air since I still need to upgrade 5 of 6 tools to mythril which takes quite a lot of time especially since not every one is full exp yet. Likely I will try to upgrade the hoe and hammer before winter, the watering can at the start of it, and get the axe and pole done in time to trek the depths one last time.
Sadly what has truly stopped the glory of this progression is simply my real time availability to play it. I started at the end of my free time week and have been busy since. Maybe one day i'll finally be able to gain those mythical houses that were so unattainable in the og.

Mythril Valley: A FFXV Startup!AU starring late 20s Chocobros. Their Dads: Crazy Rich Lucians. But, shit just hit the fan and they gotta put their Ivy League edumacated brains together to make it on their own. Facial hair, hoodies and geeking out for now, designer suits and smooches to follow…
Pilot episode synopsis under the cut! More episodes HERE.
Episode CEO stands for Cutting Everyone Off: Noctis Lucis Calum, sole heir to a huge multi million dollar media empire that is currently at risk of a hostile takeover with lawsuits up the wazoo… Our valiant only son is cut off and tasked to prove his mettle… starting with his little technology pipe dream: ARMIGER. (Current description being... a very powerful multipurpose app driven by smoke and mirrors and flying by the seat of one’s pants.) In denial of his family’s dire situation and dwindling coffers, dear Noctis seeks “inspiration” by “investing” in technology i.e. every single console and game and… a boat... a really really nice boat… (you can write it off as entertainment costs right? Right?) Lucky for him, friendship is magic, but there ain’t no “Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start” to this.
In lieu of an omake. RE: The first pic...

I started Dungeon23 a little early. Dungeon23 is a room-a-day ttrpg megadungeon writing project. The premise so far is that there’s a floating chunk of mountain I’m calling “the Clod” that houses the megadungeon. I’m not attached to the name, but the etymology of “cloud” is related to “clod,” as anglo myth imagines clouds as floating rocks where you might, for example, encounter a giant after climbing a beanstalk.
Room 1 28Dec2022 A dozen mythril braids anchored the Clod to the valley. One mythril braid anchors it today. Most are either scavenged (mythril is valuable) or their anchors in the valley have broken in the intervening years. One way to get to The Clod is to climb 600 feet on the surviving cable and then to scramble from there to the vines and odd perches. This involves at least one reasonably difficult check, whose primary dangers can be avoided with a climbing kit.
Room 2 29Dec2022 When the wind catches it, the Clod collides with the side of a mountain. Where it connects, both the Clod and the mountain are worn smooth. This has exposed a mining tunnel in the base of the Clod. Entrepeneurial sorts have dug foxholes into the side of the mountain, which offer an element of safety (being in one during a collision does modest thunder damage, preferable to instant death.) From the highest foxhole, one can leap into the mine tunnel. The darkness, tendency of moisture to freeze, smoothness of the contact surfaces, and angle of the slope renders the space between foxholes difficult terrain.
Room 3 30Dec2022 On the north face of the Clod, a conspicuously large hallway large enough for a gargantuan creature is visible. This is accessible to flying creatures, or to characters making the lengthy climb from the western cable to the hallway. Inside is a thick basalt door, and a series of levers and a button set in the wall, and the long-ruined remains of a camp site. The wall containing the levers has been partially opened, exposing the mechanism which has itself fallen into decay. Repairing the mechanism or finding a bypass requires an appropriate skill check. Blood inside the mechanism indicates the previous party attempted such a thing before being fatally attacked, though no bodies are visible.
Room 4 31Dec2022 The top of the Clod has copses of evergreen trees growing in irregular spots upon an eroded slab brick surface, and a gilded obelisk covered in draconic boasts. A dozen perytons exist up here, living off the wild goats, bears, deer, and other wildlife. Perytons, by their nature, take a special interest in humanoid travelers, and attack at night. At dusk they will harass humanoids with dropped stones, pulls and shoves with hooked sticks, and occasional attacks. They maintain smaller nests on nearby peaks and ridges, out to two days out, but return to the Clod regularly. Their continued harassment prevents restful sleep, and locals know to avoid this valley. Once a prey is deemed suitably vulnerable, they will commit to a fight to the death.
The golden obelisk proclaims the Clod as the property of Gozpoditakel, a dragon that boasts of their most valued hoard: the chiefs and nobles they hold for literal kings' ransoms. A history check against the names, or the obvious age of the space, indicates that the dragon seems to be gone. There is probably a direct way from this perch to the "hoard" itself, but it's not obvious.
Room 5 01Dec2023 Mt. Dlagan is to the southwest of the Clod, and it's peak sits about 400 feet higher than the apex of the Clod. 200 feet below the apex, observing the Clod, is a carefully obscured shelter. It houses two fraternal twin dwarven adventurers - Grake and Yurrow Ironboot. They are the hired guides of the party that failed to repair the door in the north hallway. They have a spell scroll of Fly which neither can use. Their deftness with mountaincraft is how they survive, but they don't have a clear plan out of the valley entirely. They have the skill to lasso a peryton, but they don't have the nerve or people to try the gambit. They may attempt to sign their location to players with a hand mirror at a distance.
Room 6 02Dec2023 A now closed entrance, covered in snow and moss, appear on the south side of the Clod. Once used as an exit for detritus from the mine, it has been closed with a round copper plug that has tarnished green over the years. A reasonably high passive perception score will notice a roughly circular patch of green-stained snow against the moss and rock. Climbing from the western cable, flying, or gliding from a higher point can access the spot, and clearing the snow reveals a five-foot threshold safe for standing. The plug has a fist-sized hole in the center and numerous matching holes near its circumference. Inset in the leftmost hole is a pin. Removing the pin and setting it into the center allows the plug to roll sideways, opening the space.
Room 7 04Dec2023 Sitting a bit north of the Clod's current location in the Ka'ahli Valley is an abandoned dwarven mining camp. What remains of it would require an organized excavation, but some features are visible and potentially useful. An earth and stonework ridge, once used for water diversion, surrounds the camp and sits three and a half feet tall. A large freestanding domed furnace can provide emergency shelter from the elements. Inside the furnace are lead pellets (suitable for use as sling bullets), bronze molds, bowls made from crushed bonemeal, and a short flat adamantine bar with a bifurcated hook on one end, and a hole in the other. Once used to fish material out of the furnace, the bar can now be used as an improvised grappling hook or as an adamantine sickle that does piercing damage.

Ruby Mesa
Ragni’ s Hometown. Situated within the safety of the Dur’Lagksa Canyonlands, The Ruby Mesa is a refuge for artisans, merchants and various travelers alike. Originally an small outpost for dwarven adventurers, the small settlement transformed into the great city-state overtime thanks to nearby mines rich with mythril, as well as the largest body of water in the underdark that the Mesa sits upon. Unfortunately though, although the Canyonlands have given the city-state relative safety, residents have been increasingly weary of the Expansionist Luk’Ferro Empire in the valley next door.

I remember when the remake first came out and a very vocal minority were saying they ruined Tifa's character for various reasons but mostly because to them she didn't show enough concern about cloud's messed up memories and I just feel like one she does but it's too early in the story to get into all that and two Tifa was introduced with already so much on her plate outside of cloud which I was grateful for wish people apperciated that more she got alot of great characterization in this
Because what even is plot? The reveal about Cloud's real self and everything is near the end of disc 2 in OG.
Disc 2.
Do you know how much shit happens before that point? Lemme just grab my walk through cause I can't remember everything off the top of my head.
After Midgar
Kalm flashback
Chocobo ranch
Mythril mine
Fort condor (optional at this point)
Junon harbour
Junon city
Shinra boat
Costa del sol
Mt corel
North Corel
Gold saucer intro
Corel prison
Gongaga (also optional)
Cosmo canyon
Nibelheim
Mt nibel
Rocket Town
Wutai (optional)
Gold saucer
Temple of the ancients
Bone village
Sleeping forest
Forgotten city
Corel Valley cave
Icicle inn
Great glacier
Gaea cliffs
Crater
Okay? All of this happens before Cloud has a massive collapse and gives the black materia to Sephiroth.
So, people expect Tifa to address Cloud's issues this early? When she's only just met back up with him a couple of days ago? She's suspicious and worried, as evidenced by her concern throughout the game, but she doesn't have anything to give her reason to think something so major is wrong with him. She just thinks he's more troubled than usual and Aerith brushes her off. Because Aerith doesn't really know him.
Even if Nojima reworks locations and events to bring forward Cloud's reveal and reunites his two aspects, that's still something Tifa needs to discover. I mean, it's not like she can just look at him and see he's been infected with Jenova cells and possibly under Sephiroth's control. Who would ever think that?

Maddening Lions Update #2
[CAUTION. SPOILERS FOR FE3H AHEAD. MAYBE ALL ROUTES. SOME PARALOGUES OVERLAP.]
2.5 moons have passed since last update which means it's officially SEASON OF THE MASTERCLASS~ Everyone is in their master classes! Yay! Even Gilbert, who I didn't think I'd be using!
The Battle to Defend Garreg Mach part 2:
I had a friend who got to this battle on Maddening and quit, so I was nervous going in. She got pinned by pegasus knights and couldn't move forward to take them out without losing someone and rather than lose a student, decided she'd rather start over.
With one archer, we made it through.
It got a little hairy! But we made it. Things that helped: Dancer Flayn with Stride and Sniper Ashe with Hunter's Volley and a Mini Bow+. COME AND GET SOME, SKYHORS. And gambits. Gambits, gambits, everywhere. It was awfully considerate of the enemies to line up so nicely for us. :P I feel like for the most part, the battles seem to begin very difficultly, and then as you survive the initial onslaught, it's easier to move forward.
In the grand tradition of killing our own family members, we had Caspar hit Randolph again. This time he was a little more ready, but Randolph softened himself on Dimitri first.
I love the end of this battle, too, because Dimitri shouts, "Professor! Get down!" While he's still not really speaking to Byleth and my neck practically cracked as I did a double-take to re-read it. He's still in there and still cares. ♡
Ailell, the Valley of Torment:
Lmao so anyone classed as a Sniper now has Vantage so that's fucking fun. I booked it over to the right-hand corner because that's where your allies come from, but Rodrigue was later than expected. Once we figured out where the archers could reach and how to deal with Vantage, this map wasn't too bad. And Rodrigue was fortunately much better leveled this time (in Felix's paralogue, he's level 10!! And like everyone else is early 20s!! AUGH). It also helped that we had a bunch of Holy Knights ignoring the lava underfoot with their sacred horse powers.
I wonder about Lord Gwendal sometimes. He's far less pertinent in other routes, because he's some nobody knight from Faerghus, but Blue Lions seems to really poke at how terribly bad chivalry is, and Lord Gwendal is another reflection of that. He seeems to hate what he's doing, based on his death quote ("I've finally found somewhere to die"), but can't turn his back on his Lord or else he undermines the very code he upholds. It's a rock and a hard place.
Paralogue: Mercedes and Caspar:
So I chose Caspar for my B-string specifically for this paralogue. He was unfortunately not as stronk as we would have hoped (ongoing theme with this poor boy; my fault for B-stringing him), but with the power of the goddess, anime, and moar gambits, we succeeded in our mission:
Let Caspar strike the final blow on the Death Knight.
My poor butt believed this would complete the paralogue. It does not. You still gotta kill every last one of them route the enemy.
But now we have the Scythe of Sariel. [wahahas intensify]
Lethality Annette absolutely destroyed some demonic beasts, and was well worth the detour into Assassin (and plus it drove my roommate insane, so added bonus). I am so pleased that Lethality triggers off of magic damage as well as physical. Watching a demonic beast with like 132 HP go down in one Excalibur tornado was a beautiful sight.
Paralogue: The Holy Tomb:
Like honestly fuck this place. The right side of the map has two punks with Bolting, the range of which is DISGUSTING. I put Mercedes on the edge to tank the magic hits and healed her as we pulled back into a corner. We ran one guy out entirely before I noticed there was a second one. The left side only has Ragnarok, so we were able to creep up on them and pincer around once those Bolting creeps were dealt with.
I was hoping to mine Mythril from here, but in Maddening the bosses don't stay put, so I only broke barriers on 2/3 giant robots before we finished the map. First time in like 5 playthroughs I haven't cleared the room. And we could have! If it weren't for those meddling Cavaliers.
Roster Progression (post tomb raiding)
Key! [Unit: end goal. Pathing -> Current Class]
Byleth: Enlightened One. Path: Monk/Fighter -> Brigand -> Swordmaster -> Bishop -> Enlightened One
Dimitri: Great Lord. Path: Monk -> Priest/Lord/Cavalier -> Paladin/Bishop -> High Lord -> Holy Knight -> Great Lord
Ingrid: Holy Knight. Path: Monk/Soldier -> Cavalier/Priest -> Paladin/Bishop -> Holy Knight
Ashe: Bow Knight. Path: Fighter -> Archer/Cavalier -> Sniper/Paladin -> Bow Knight

@beastreign
Violet storm hewn skies rumbled in a reverberant thrum, stormclouds brimming with the weight of drops yet spilled, blocked only by the shielding glow of the conjured buffer of congealed energy over the caretaker’s head. Perched on the rain-dampened stone bench, silver green hues trailed over the valley of tended flora... shambling forms roving between the low set walls and letting only the dim moonlight guide between bioluminescent buds and glittering leaves.
Something felt... off about this storm... the reverberant energy that saturated the earth in each droplet (though the supernatural aligned plantlife drank up each drop with an eagerness), the very presence it drew was far from familiar.
Golems, constructed from the remains of once living men, toted the weighty baskets of collected mythril flowers, and moon blessed herbs. Illuminant green runes thrummed as the makeshift caretakers shambled nearer-- and with a deep breath, silvered green hues drifted over the scenery once more.
And he paused... catching sight of the lone stony golem that lurked to the far end of the rain-drenched garden, peculiar, he hadn’t given any order for thralls to become sentinels. What perchance could have caught this creature’s attention...? With a radiant thrum of green energy, near invisible to the naked eye, a searching pulse of magic called command for the presence of creatures lurking beyond mortal sight.

NaDDPod Bad Ending
The world is a fucking hot mess, adventurers die every day and yet there are still those out there trying to make a change. Three brave adventures set out once again to try and fix what is right, and on their way, see some mighty strange things.
A humble hick elven settlement located deep in the woods. From a distance it seems friendly, almost welcoming, but if any unfamiliar to the crick wander near, they are met by a mithril dragon, accompanied by a fungal entity known only as “the Queen.” Legend says, however, that if you prove no ill intent to their territory, or come bearing gifts of spores or an addition to the dragon’s hoard, they may spare you. The adventures do just that and speak with the Queen as to why she guards this tiny settlement so. She speaks of the fact that the crick was once the most hospitable of places what would welcome all with open arms. But the crick has been hurt too much in her time, and once He rose to power in the deepest of the hells just for kicks, hospitality had to take a back seat for the safety of her people. The dragon agrees, with a deafening but still unmistakable “REEEEEEE!” The adventures move on, knowing that the dragon and the Queen mean no harm to the rest of the world, and only wish to defend their own like all else. They wave the adventures goodbye with blessings of Melora, awkward hand gestures, and strangely gap-toothed grins and the adventures continue on their quests.
Deep in the valleys between the mountains of Irondeep lies the Scorched Crater. Well, it’s called Scorched, but it really depends on the day. When the adventures arrive, it’s storming. Lightning strikes the ground and thunder rumbles. The storm dissipates eventually, revealing two forms in the center of the constant battlefield. One is a dwarves man, covered in oozing, pulsing, black scabs. The other is a large human man, his beard coated in a colored powder and his eyes dilated and unfocused, arms and axe glowing with arcane energy. The thunder fades into the distance as the combatants stare each other down, panting. The human shouts at his companion, “You ready for another juice break yet old friend?” The dwarf screams and charges the human with his axe The human takes a deep breath of the powder in his beard, lets out a jubilant shout, revealing a missing tooth, and raises his axe in return.
The adventures skirt the combatants, stealthily investigating the only other object in the crater: the wreck of an old airship. The hull is destroyed and through the holes the adventurers see nothing but barrels of something labeled “Gatorade” and piles upon piles of loose R. Cane. The adventures abandon the hull and leave the constant combatants to their fate.
There are legends, only legends now, of Him. The V (the fifth): the, stragely, third devil. Legends say that he conquered hell for shits and giggles and often isn’t even found there, leaving it to rot. If you venture all the way to his throne room you will see in his stead jars of teeth. Teeth of beast and monster and man. The jars sit upon a throne carefully constructed of teeth, larger teeth of powerful beasts, clearly detailed and designed. At it’s base on its dias lay thousands of teeth haphazardly tossed at the base.
Little is known of He himself. He is small, wearing simple armor and a twice cracked amulet of Pelor around his neck, and a Balance card from a deck of many things tucked neatly into his Green Teen beret. Three teeth lie around his neck next to the twice-cracked amulet. A sturdy, polished, human molar, a rotten, cavity filled, crick elf incisor, and the fang of a mythril dragon.

Name: Wakizaka no Akai. Age: 28. Gender: Female. Body: Tall for an Au Ra girl, yet a bit under-weight. Medium toned skin, a slight tan from working on a farm years prior. Eye Color: A soft lilac tone, almost white yet the purple hue is evident. Hair Color: Burgundy, with soft maroon high-lights. Body Type: Frail, almost doll-like. Medium bust, and the smallest showing of her rib cage if seen without clothing. Physical 'special stuff': Soft freckles line the bridge of her nose and the apples of her cheeks, along with long white claws on her fingers from lack of cutting them down. A few cuts and scars on her hands from years prior to coming to Eorzea. Big, off-white horns that come off of the sides of her head along with off-white scales that trace her body. Affiliation: Drakenguard Lodge. Home: Prior to Eorzea: The outskirts of Othard, in a small farm house that could easily be mistaken for a cottage. Current: A wonderfully medium sized home in The Lavender Beds. Family: Far too many to list, yet here we go: Mother is Wakizaka no Koharu, father is Wakizaka no Gyosei, younger sister is Wakizaka no Ajisai, and older brother is Wakizaka no Unzan and Shiroi. NOW THAT SHE IS MARRIED she has a husband nameds Micaux Wakizaka and an adoptive son called Oscar Pendragon. Best Friend: Akai's best friend is a social grey cat who USED to share the same FC as her. She’s witty and kind, though her puns could kill someone. Allena is also teaching this cat some conjury. Worst Enemy: The Garlean Empire, due to the fact that her home land was under the rule of them until they revolted. Interesting Quirks: Has a slight obsession with romance novels, often hoping her life will be a repeat of these novels. She's a 'yes-man' of sorts, her kindness taking a hold of her and making her agree to up-most anything asked of her. Rumors!: "I heard she has an irrational hatred of crocs. You know, crocodiles?" -Valentina Jalenoux Most say she's prone to taking her imagination to the extreme, going as far as burying the drawing of an original character she once made.... There's no proof of this, however. Well, unless you check the backyard of Kallista Aral(RIP). Biography: Akai and her family resided in a small farm house in the outskirts of Doma, by the valleys where Yanxia is. Their kind and nurturing nature procured them the job of lowly farmers, only conversing with people when they had to take a caravan to another village to sell their crops. As a young child, Akai had a frail body and could not do much when it came to farm work, so was often taken along when they voyage to other villages and spoke to the children who were there. She came to meet a young gal by the name of Izayoi, who's parents owed a small library in one of the villages in which all of the village folk would come to gain knowledge. As an act of kinship, the girl would often sneak out books for Akai to read when she was back at home so that she could learn more about the world around them. She learned of the Warriors of Light, the Eorzean Alliance, and of the marvelous tales of the large city of Ul'Dah..... Curiosity took the better of the girl, giving her an insatiable feeling of wonder and awe of the places outside of her small farm and surrounding villages.... And at 16, she took one of the few chocobos her family had along with her belongings and set off to come to the wonderful land of Eorzea... yet her journey was not done with ease. The harsh sun was a change from the environment she had been used to, and her weak body had been reaching it's limit. One day, as she was close to her destination, the heat and exhaustion over took her and she fell off of her chocobo and fainted on the desert floor. She had surely thought she was left for dead.... Until a merchant came across her limp body and brought her to her destination full of worry. The man nursed her back to health, allowing her to eventually regain consciousness. The merchant went by the name of Samuel Warrick, a Hyur who sold numerous dyes and clothes to the people of Ul'Dah. Akai had finally come to her destination where she could start a new life that was much different to her old one.... And took on the name Allena Warrick. Living with the man for a few years, she took on the companionship of this man and saw him as a father figure of sorts. She felt that her life was at its peak, selling goods at the Ruby Exchange while still gaining her knowledge and reading as much as she could... That is, until Samuel grew very ill. Her sole provider had been teetering on the brink of death, and she was quite unsure what she could do if he had left her life. The man whispered into her ear when she was on his death bed to "spread kindness onto others.... One act of kindness is like a drop of water into a lake; it will create endless ripples." Heeding his words, she traveled to Gridania in search of the Conjurer's guild. Allena knew that her body was too frail to defend and help the people she wished to aid, yet she could use another alternative to be a kind being. Learning the ways of healing, she could restore any lost hope others would have when they had felt they reached their end. She was awoken to the path of nature, using her abilities to help the sick and aid all those who could not afford to help themselves. As she aided any adventurer she came across, she soon found a free company willing to take her in... And that was the Night Shade Company. Growing more and more attuned to her skills, her kind was out-lawed by the Conjurers due to the fact that she was nearing a "point of no return"; that she is one of the reasons as to why Conjurers and White Mages were used as weapons of war during the Calamity. None the less, she persisted. She used her resources to grow further into her abilities, and soon awoken as a White Mage. Through the aid of the Padjal, her abilities grew powerful despite her body being unable to to handle strenuous tasks. It was by the help of the elementals that she grew so powerful, using her powers to aid and not to harm. Advancing more on her skills, she decided to use her immense knowledge to also help the Scholars of the MSS further their research. While aiding one of their members in Ul'Dah, she came across a young Lalafell girl my the name of Shiori who had no home to turn to.... In turn, she took the girl in as her own, much like Samuel did for her. The young girl became her adopted daughter, the both of them moving to her home which is in The Lavender Beds. After the closing of the Night Shade Company, Allena joined the Mythrill Scroll Society in hopes of using her healing abilities and knowledge to further their investigations on the various subjects they chose to research. She is often seen giving back to the community around her, setting events where she could expand her connections and grow to have a second family almost.... To replace the one she left long long ago. It is unknown if Allena will ever return to see her family. It is also unknown if her family is even still alive... Yet she has hope that one day she will meet them again.
Many moons have passed since Akai first joined the Scrolls and she felt herself needing some sort of change. With the aid of a comrade known as Joelistyn Dusk she founded Drakenguard Co., a private company that caters to hunts of all kinds given to their lodge members along with private missions from nobles and trading companies. When it was discovered that she was not an Eorzean citizen she had to go through a citizenship order and returned back to her original name, Wakizaka no Akai. She resides in the Lavender beds still with her lodge being in Mist, but dreams of looking for her biological family now that she can aid then as best as she can. Now a 28 year old maiden she has met Micaux Wakizaka, a doctor who works in her lodge with her in the clinic and the two fell in love. They both got married in September and have adopted a young Ishgardian Elezen boy named Oscar Pendragon.

Caverns of Gold
The following story is featured in volume VIII of the digital magazine “The Talefeather.”
Colman, Eminne, Lipapa, and Klynbhar descended the cavernous path cautiously.
“I am unsure of this, Colman; I’ve heard monstrous tales of a place such as this.” Lipapa said as her eyes scanned the dark stone walls.
Colman smirked as he walked alongside the three, a spring in his step. “Worry not friends! I have it on good authority that within this hillside lies an endless supply of mythril, gold, and better yet, adventure!”
“Look ahead, something lights the way!” Eminne said as she pointed into the distance.
Before them, the path twisted to their right, an eerie yellow light illuminated the walls. As they turned the corner, they were greeted by a large, golden cavern. Luminescent pools of gold liquid rested in the valleys of the floor, plants and vines covered the walls, and yellow mist sporadically spewed forth from cracks in the rock. What caught their eyes most were the beasts that roamed aimlessly thoughout the cavern.
“Seven hells, look at the size of that toad!” Klynbhar shouted.
Immediately the beast turned to the four, its bulbous eyes fixed on Klynbhar. A long slender tongue erupted from the toad’s mouth and shot toward him. Reflexively, he crouched to the ground as the tongue speared the air directly above him. The other three looked on in shock as they jumped back. Klynbhar scrambled backwards around the corner and the rest followed.
“I’m beginning to agree with Lipapa, this doesn’t seem worth the trouble.” Klynbhar said as he began to stand and dust himself off.
Colman shook his head. “Nonsense! We just needs be more cautious. Such a large beast must be easy to evade. Surely we just wait for him to return to his...”
Just then the toad’s bulk appeared next to them. It tried to crawl towards them, unable to fit through the cavern path. It furiously flung its tongue at them, trying to pull them into its mouth.
The four of them screamed and ran back up the path, out of the reach of the monster’s tongue.
“I believe the gods are trying to tell us to venture no further.” Lipapa said as she caught her breath.
Klynbhar nodded at the lalafell, and Eminne looked to Colman, who stood defiantly.
“Friends, we cannot allow a lone beast to keep us from such riches and glory!”
Colman wielded his axe, turned towards the beast, and charged. Lifting his weapon into the air, he bellowed a furious shout, only to be promptly grasped by the tongue of the toad. In a split second, he was swallowed by the beast.
The three stood silently and looked at each other, mouths agape. A moment later, they all unsheathed their weapons and charged towards the giant toad.
Eminne took aim and loosed arrows, trying her best to hit vital areas. Klynbhar furiously pummeled the head of the beast, while Lipapa conjured stones to hurl at it. Soon after, the toad was felled, its carcass plugging the cavern entrance.
“Colman!” the three shouted as they pried the toad’s mouth open. They saw no sign of the warrior, but heard muffled shouts.
“What in the bloody hells are we to do now?” Klynbhar said as he looked at the two.
Eminne unsheathed a knife from her belt. “I suppose we have to cut him out.”
The three looked at the knife, none of them eager to grab it. A moment later, Klynbhar furrowed his brow and grasped the knife from Eminne’s hand. As he hesitantly drew the knife up to the belly of the beast, it began to rumble.
They all took a step back and watched Colman’s hand erupt from the gullet of the monster. Eminne grasped it and began to pull, with Klynbhar aiding her once he realized what was happening. After a few tugs, Colman was free of the beast, gasping for air as he rolled on to his back, covered in a thick, clear slime.
Lipapa rushed to his side and began casting healing magicks on him as he sat up. Colman looked to the others and smiled.
“How exciting was that? I bet that none of those bastards drinking their days away in the Carline Canopy can say they’ve fought such a monster!”
Eminne smiled while Klynbhar and Lipapa gave Colman worried looks.
“Mate, you were just eaten.” Klynbhar said.
Colman shook his head and chuckled. “I had no doubt in my mind that you would come to my aid! Besides, I could have carved my way out of the beast if need be.” He stood up and stretched his legs. “Now, let’s shove this thing out of the way so we can get to the riches inside!”
Colman and Eminne began to ineffectually push the toad, trying to clear a path into the cavern; Klynbhar and Lipapa stood by silently.
Colman turned to the roegadyn and lalafell. “Come now, give us a hand.”
Lipapa gave Colman an apologetic look. “I think we should turn back, Colman.”
Colman beamed at her. “Lipapa, the worst of it is behind us! Clearly no monster could rival the one we just fought. And right behind this carcass is a fortune, just waiting for us!”
The two looked unconvinced, so Colman continued. “If we find nothing of value in the next room, I will gladly guide us all back to the surface. I’ll even buy a round of drinks for the trouble.”
Lipapa and Klynbhar reluctantly agreed and helped to push the beast out of the way. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to move it, only to lift it enough to narrowly squeeze through the path.
Once again they surveyed the giant cavern, sure to be much quieter this time.
Eminne approached a pool of the golden liquid. “It smells quite foul. I don’t believe this is truly gold.”
Colman chuckled. “Of course it isn’t actually molten gold! But have you ever seen such a substance? Certainly it must be worth its weight in the real stuff.”
Colman pulled a jar out of his sack and unstoppered it. He dipped it into the pool of noxious liquid and sealed it shut. A moment later he dropped the jar as he winced in pain. His bare fingers burned fiercely as the liquid began to sear his flesh. The jar shattered on the hard stone, and liquid splashed all over him, singeing any piece of exposed flesh.
“Ow, ow, ow.” Colman grunted as he hopped up and down. “Lipapa, could you come here a moment?”
“Perhaps you should come over here.” Lipapa said as she, Klynbhar and Eminne began to back towards the entrance.
Colman turned the direction the others were facing, towards the interior of the cavern. The sound of the jar shattering had alerted nearly a dozen creatures. The four turned to the exit, only to see the giant toad they thought dead pulling its head out of the pathway and turning to them.
As it unleashed a guttural croak, the four screamed and ran. They all sprinted into the main chamber of the cavern, weaving around the monsters as best they could. Klynbhar tried punching any that were in reach, and Eminne loosed a volley of arrows meant to slow the beasts. The toad croaked as it plowed over some of the monsters, eagerly trying to reach the adventurers. As they approached the next chamber, the toad began to lash its tongue out wildly.
Just as Colman ran through the opening to the next room, the toad’s tongue shot past his head, missing it by ilms. It crashed into the wall of the cavern, loosing a boulder. This caused a partial cave in, and the adventurers scurried away from the avalanche as fast as they could.
Once the boulders finished falling, the four stopped to catch their breath. The path they had come from was now blocked off, sealed by a mountain of rubble.
Lipapa healed the others’ wounds as Klynbhar and Colman argued.
“Thal’s balls! I can’t believe I let you drag me into a shiteheap like this.” Klynbhar said as he looked for an opening in the pile of stone.
“While I admit that this wasn’t ideal, surely you’ve never felt so alive! This is the kind of adventure that makes the history books!”
“The only history book you’ll make it into is ‘the History of Idiotic Bastards.’”
Eminne tapped Colman on the shoulder. “Mayhap we should discuss this later?” She pointed towards the center of the chamber.
This room looked much like the last, pools of noxious gas and liquid, root systems and overgrowth. No creature inhabited the room, aside from one; a giant plant monstrosity that lumbered around on four stumps and had two enormous whip-like appendages.
The group immediately fell silent as they spotted the beast. Looking around, Lipapa found an exit to the right side of the room. She pointed towards the opening, and the group slowly snuck out of the room by hugging the wall and remaining as quiet as possible.
The next room was a much narrower path. The overgrowth became thicker and more puddles of gold dotted the floor. Inside the room was a great hulking beast made of naught but vines and teeth, a few miniature versions of the monster, and some strange green pods made up of vines.
“Seven hells, is that a morbol?” Klynbhar asked, astonished.
Eminne’s eyes lit up as she gasped. “Morbols! I love morbols!”
She broke off from the group and sprinted towards the morbol seedlings, arms outstretched. When she reached one, she hugged it tightly.
The mob of seedlings approached her, mouths drooling. Colman and the others ran to Eminne’s side and began to pull her away.
“But they are just little babies! I just want to pet them!” She yelled as one of the seedlings began gnawing on her arm.
“Dear, these morbols aren’t the tame ones you’d see at the chocobo track.” Lipapa said as she drew her staff.
Despite their efforts, the group was nearly engulfed in tiny morbols. Worse yet, the adult at the far end of the room approached as well. The group hacked and slashed their way free as best they could. Punches flew, axe swung, vines whipped, and plenty of bad breath was belched. Eminne even reluctantly fired some arrows. In the end, the group narrowly managed to crawl their way free of the heap of morbols.
The next room was a much larger chamber with a high ceiling. Unlike the previous rooms, this one had nearly no vegetation in it. In the center stood a monster who at first blush might be confused with a giant man. The thing had the frame of a normal man, but nearly quadruple in size. It carried a giant club in its right hand and stood on two legs that ended in hooves. The most noteworthy feature of it was the single, gigantic eye that occupied nearly its entire head.
Lipapa glanced off to the continuing path to the right of the cyclops. “Mayhaps we can sneak by it if we just move…”
Before she could finish her sentence, the cyclops spotted them and began charging, club raised.
They all scattered in different directions, each readying their weapon. Colman began to hack at the leg of the beast, unable to pierce its thick hide. Klynbhar worked at the monster’s stomach, trying his best subdue it. Eminne tried to hobble it by aiming for its calves, and Lipapa conjured cutting winds on the cyclops.
Unfazed by the onslaught, the beast swung his club across Colman’s side. Colman flew like a doll across the room, and crumpled in a heap. Lipapa ran to him and began to cast her most potent magicks, when the cyclops charged toward her.
Klynbhar and Eminne furiously attacked, trying to pull attention away from the others. With a swift, ferocious kick, Klynbhar managed to bring the cyclops to its knee. He then spun around and kicked the back of the monster’s hand, forcing it to release its club.
It then turned silently to the monk and archer, its one giant eye glowing. A moment later the air around them began to crackle, and light gathered around the head of the beast.
“Shite! Run, Eminne!” Klynbhar shouted as he sprinted away.
Eminne followed suit as a giant beam of light erupted from the creature’s eye. It scorched a path across the stone as the cyclops moved its head.
By now, Colman was up on his feet and charging back into the fray. He swung his axe into the side of its chest, cleaving right into its ribs.
The monster winced, then turned its eye to Colman. Colman freed his axe just in time to avoid the searing beam. In a rage, the cyclops continued to fire beams of light at the party, trying its best to burn them into oblivion. Klynbhar and Colman argued as they ran in circles, narrowly dodging the beams.
“You little blackguard! If we get out of here alive, I’m going to punch your moronic head right off your shoulders!”
“Oh Klynbhar, you won’t have such a sharp tongue once we each have enough money buy up a nice hefty plot of land in Costa del Sol!”
For the next few minutes, they all continued to run, dodge and argue, until Eminne got a clear shot on the cyclops’ eye. She fired a bolt directly into it, and the beast fell to its knees. Blinded, it began crawling around on the cavern floor, grasping for the adventurers.
The group took the opportunity to sneak away through the path on the right. Once they were satisfied with the distance, they caught their breath.
“Adventure! Isn’t this what we live for, friends?” Colman said to the three, with a great grin on his face.
They looked to him, returning none of the enthusiasm.
“Well, come now. If I remember correctly, I was told that just down this path is a vein of mythril so large that you could build an even newer Gridania with the profits.”
The four trudged on down the path, encountering a horde of monstrous diremites. Without much trouble, they were able to dispose of the vilekin, and continued on to a large chamber much like the ones at the beginning of the cavern.
Inside sat the largest morbol any of them had ever seen.
“Oh thank the gods. Look there.” Lipapa said as she pointed past the morbol.
A sliver of white light, presumably from the surface, shone down on the cavern floor.
“I suppose we have to get through that thing to get out of here.” Klynbhar said as he readied his brass knuckles.
“Menphina be praised! It’s the most beautiful creature I’ve ever seen!” Eminne said excitedly. “We needs not harm such a creature, it is too adorable to fight.”
Klynbhar lowered his fists and looked to Eminne. “Much as I would love to part company with it amicably, we both know morbols aren’t the friendliest type.”
Colman had other ideas, as he immediately charged forward, axe at the ready.
“The history books, friends! Adventure!” he screamed as he swung his axe savagely at the morbol.
The axe found purchase in the creature’s trunk, the plant’s inner liquids streaming from the wound. The beast roared in response, shaking violently as spores floated off its body.
Their attention drawn by the sheer size of the morbol, the group failed to notice the many pods that populated the cavern floor, much like in the other room. The spores fell onto the pods, causing them to split open, revealing dozens of morbol seedlings.
Utter chaos ensued. Waves of seedlings piled on the adventurers, biting and whipping them. The group struggled free slowly as the giant morbol in the center inhaled a deep breath. A moment later it belched a putrid gas on the party, hitting all but Colman, who was busy sparring with the morbol’s tentacles. The three crawled on their hands and knees, retching as they tried to escape the onslaught.
Colman ran to their sides and cut a swath through the seedlings, allowing them some time to distance themselves from the mob. They immediately began to climb the cavern walls, coughing and groaning as they went. Like a beast unchained, Colman furiously swung at the morbol and its spawn, keeping them at bay long enough for the others to escape. Once the path was opened, he climbed up the wall as fast as he could, narrowly avoiding a wave of bad breath.
Back on the surface, the group rested in the snow. Eminne and Klynbhar writhed in agony as Lipapa hurriedly cast cleansing magicks on herself. Once she was able, she cleansed the other two.
“Wasn’t that quite the journey? We’ll surely have stories to tell for years to come thanks to it!” Colman said after taking a deep breath of fresh air.
Klynbhar rolled over onto his side, facing Colman. “Mate, count yourself lucky that I’m ready to vomit my guts out, because if I could get my hands around your neck, I’d wring it until your head popped off.”
Colman laughed. “I know you’re upset with me now, but once we all get back to safety of the Canopy, have a round of nice, cold drinks – my treat, mind you – we’ll all look back on this with fond memories.”
Lipapa walked up to Colman. “Could you sit for a moment; I need to inspect your wounds.”
“I am barely scathed, Lipapa, but if you insist.” Colman said as he took a seat in the snow.
Lipapa promptly grasped her staff and began to beat Colman over the head.
“You irresponsible bastard! Do you know how many times we almost died in there? That was without a doubt, the single worst experience of my entire life! I would never wish such a journey on my worst enemy! Your charades have single-handedly shaken my faith in the gods. What cruel and malicious deity would create such a hellscape? What bitter and sadistic creator would allow such a terrible place to exist?”
Lipapa continued her tirade as she wailed on Colman’s head. Eventually Eminne and Klynbhar pulled her away and she began to calm down.
Klynbhar put a hand on Lipapa’s shoulder. “Now, now, Lipapa. Colman has promised us adventure, fortune, and a round of drinks. He’s made good on his promise of adventure; it would be a shame if he didn’t live to deliver on the other two.”
The three slowly approached Colman as he began to back away hesitantly.
“I’m sorry friends, but I’m afraid all I can offer are the drinks. It seems I’ve spent the last of my funds purchasing the equipment for this journey.” Colman patted himself down looking for anything of value on his person. “Perhaps you could all do with some empty jars? Haversacks? Flint?”
Colman made an about face and sprinted towards the path to Camp Dragonhead. Eminne, Klynbhar, and Lipapa followed suit, screaming obscenities and insults along the way.

What I was saying earlier. Smaller scale games so we get them sooner.
I'm betting we get Kalm, Chocobo Farm, Mythril mine and Junon in the next part.
Third part will open on the Shinra boat, Costa del sol, Mt Corel, North Corel, gold saucer and end at the Corel prison on Barret's arc.
Disc 4: chocobo race, gongaga village, cosmo canyon, gi cave, Nibelheim.
Disc 5: rocket Town, Wutai, temple of the ancients, bone village, city of the ancients.
Disc 6: correl Valley cave/aftermath, icicle Inn, great glacier, crater, Junon return, mideel, huge materia,.
Disc 7: Midgar, all the side quests and endgame.
If you think that's a lot of discs well....7 discs for Final Fantasy 7.
Because you know they'd do that.

So with midgar part has ended what are the events before Aerith death god i can’t i just can’t watch it in HD my heart is gonna break for her
Gotta get my walkthrough out for this. There’s a lot of stuff between those two events and if they’re gonna be done to the same quality as disc one then I’m betting they’re gonna be broken up into a lot of smaller bites. How many is up for debate but at least 3 discs is the general prediction, although I think it’ll be more.
After leaving Midgar
Kalm + Kalm flashback -- Cloud recounts his flawed memory and we get to wander about the village while working out what to do next.
Chocobo ranch -- we learn Sephiroth crossed the marsh and we need a birdy to get us over
Mythril Mine -- where we run into a new Turk, Elena, who gives out important info for our next location.
Fort Condor -- optional since you can’t really do anything at this point in the game, so I think we might just skip that bit with a nod to it that we’ll come back later.
Junon Harbour -- undercity of Junon could be a whole huge section.
Junon Topside -- Breaking in so we can board a boat for Costa del Sol (Cloud does a rhythm minigame here that I bet will be redone in the same style as the honey bee inn)
Now, there’s several good points in the OG where there’s natural stopping points if they wanna break up the game. The bit where the team boards the Shinra boat is one, so you could close out on the group leaving the continent bound for Costa del Sol.
Shinra Boat -- mostly exposition and a Jenova battle (OG this is the first time we see him)
Costa del Sol -- nothing actually happens in this bit so I’d expect it to be expanded.
Mt Corel -- Barrett’s story arc begins.
North Corel -- More Barrett backstory.
Gold Saucer -- we don’t actually go in at this time, but we get to see it.
Corel Prison -- Conclusion of Barrett’s arc.
At the end of Barrett’s arc is also a good stopping point because it has a natural conclusion to it and keeps the focus on him for the latter part of this section.
Chocobo race -- gotta get out of that prison somehow...
Gongaga -- Zack and Cloud revelations, this could be massively expanded with tons of cut scenes and maybe even some CC additions or even Zack gameplay?
Cosmo Canyon + Gi Cave -- Red’s story arc. Love this one. If you didn’t cry at the sight of Red’s dad turned to stone you’re made of stone too!
Nibelheim + Mt Nibelheim -- Cloud + Tifa story arc.
Here’s another good stopping point, although it looks a bit short, but that gives plenty of room to expand on the huge storyline it covers and add in tons of new stuff.
Rocket Town -- Hi Cid.
Wutai -- Hi Yuffie
Gold Saucer -- date and Hi Cait Sith
Temple of the Ancients -- Cloud beats up Aerith and betrays everyone
Bone Village -- find Aerith
Sleeping Forest -- Bye Aerith
City of the Ancients -- Aerith dies.
Obviously here’s another point they could stop. There’s plenty happening in all of these locations that could easily fill tons of chapters.
Corral Valley Cave -- Aftermath of Aerith’s death.
Icicle inn -- snowboarding helps you grieve.
The great Glacier -- which way do we go?
Gaea Cliffs -- this place is cold
The Northern Crater -- The place Aerith was supposed to die but they changed it.
If the devs are gonna flip the script on us slightly then they could bring this back and make Aerith survive till this point. It would make for another natural ending point.
Junon (again) -- Avalanche execution.
Search for Cloud -- Tifa leaves the party.
Huge Materia -- this definitely needs expanding because it’s a big part of the overall plot and didn’t really get the showcase it deserved.
Lifestream sequence -- yay Cloud is Cloud
Reactor missions (again) -- Underwater one and other stuff.
Rocket Town -- Cid’s arc
Return to Midgar -- Rufus gets blown up.
Final Confrontation.
So, yeah, there’s a lot happening in this game and you’ll notice that Vincent doesn’t even get an arc in the OG -- his is a side quest and it’s easy to miss if you don’t go looking for it, so I’d expect all that to get more attention too. The games have the potential to run to 7 discs in total and as expensive as that would be, and how much people would riot about the end price of the entire set I think it’s something they’d do to tie in with the whole FF7 theme.
