First, let's talk about the bouquet of yellow rose, plantain lily, amaranth, heather and sunflower

Meaning and why those flowers were chosen: Yellow rose (friendship. I'd also argue that the idea of it representing new beginnings also fits her both after her arc. Also yellow, which is her color) | Plantain Lily (devotion and once again friendship. The devotion is the big thing here though) | Amaranth (immortal, unchangeable love, which I think is a very her idea) | Heather (often used to represent loneliness, a very her thing, but also represents admiration and protection) | Sunflower (loyalty and admiration) Description: Funny little time looper who really just can't face the future! A previous life of solitude which was interrupted by having friends with the same interest made this character very afraid of what would happen when everybody graduated and parted ways, so, to protect everybody, time loops were used as the perfect way to not confront those feelings at all, even if nobody else actually wanted the time loops! This character is also a bit morally questionable, especially following the main plot of the media she's from, since this character acts very cold in that to progress the plot, and gets up to a lot of overprotective bs, but is also very silly and full of love

Pairing: Giyuu X Reader/ Tanjiro X Reader

Desc: (Y/n) is Giyuu's Tsuguko. Ubuyashiki appointed him to train her a year after he met Tanjiro. (Y/n) has had strong feelings for the water pillar for a few months. During a mission with Giyuu she runs into the two Kamado siblings. For Tanjiro it was love at first sight. What happens when (Y/n) has to fight her feelings for not only the two slayers but also keep up with the fight against the demons?

A/N: All of the characters are slightly aged up or down to make this story work. Tanjiro will be 18 and Giyuu will be 20. (Y/n) will be 19. If anyone has any questions about the other characters ages feel free to ask.

The woods around you are quiet. There is a small breeze blowing through the trees. Your hair is moving slightly from the wind. Your leg doesn't hurt as much anymore. Shinobu had stitched it up when you dropped Kanao off. You couldn't stay long because you needed to get back to Giyuu... well his estate. The walk isn't long but it's taking you longer than normal due to your exhaustion. After what feels like forever, you finally see the doors to Giyuu's estate.

You smile and walk faster to the front door. "Tomioka-san? I'm back." You make your way through the building, looking for any sign of the man.

There seems to be no sign of him.

Well you think that until you hear a door sliding open behind you. "Tomioka-san! I was wondering where you went off to." You turn around with a big smile. Your gaze lands on Giyuu, who is standing there in shock. having just come from the bath. You look him up and down. The only thing he's wearing is a towel around his waist. You freeze and stare at Giyuu's bare chest. Water was still dripping down his abs.

"Oh... you're back." The nonchalant tone startles you and you quickly cover your face, your cheeks burning from embarrassment.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to stare! I should go rest!" You quickly turn around and rush off to your room. You quickly shove your door open and collapse on your bed. "I can't believe I just did that." You groan and shove your pillow over your head.

I didn't even try to hide the fact that I was checking him out. What is wrong with me? I'm his Tsuguko for goodness sake.

Not a second later you pass out.

Thirteen days pass as you're waiting for your sword and uniform to arrive. You've been avoiding Giyuu since the day you arrived back. It wasn't hard to do since he was usually on a mission or doing Hashira stuff. He is here today though.

You are currently sitting outside on the steps. You're just enjoying the breeze when a sound catches your attention.

Kting, kting, kting

You look up and see a person walking towards you. They're wearing a a sunflower patterned haori and a Hyottoko mask. They also have a hat which appears to have windchimes all around it. That's probably what is making the noise.

"Hello?" You tilt your head in confusion and stare up at the mysterious person.

"I am called Haganezuka. I am he who forged (Y/n) (L/n)'s katana." A deep voice comes from behind the mask.

"I am (Y/n). Would you like to come inside?" I motion to the front door. "I can make tea or something."

Instead of answering your question, he kneels down on the ground and starts opening a box.

That box must contain my katana.

"Oh, please co-"

"This is a nichirin sword. I forged this blade. The iron sand and ore that are the materials for a nichirin sword are gathered at the mountain closest to the sun. Scarlet iron sand and scarlet ore both absorb light. The sun shines all year on mount yoko. It is never cloudy and rain never falls."

The door opens behind you and Haganezuka shoots his head up.

"Your sword is here." Giyuu is staring down at the both of you. "Please come inside." He turns and walks back inside.

Haganezuka and you pick up his stuff and carry it inside. You all kneel down around some tea Giyuu had set out. "Draw your sword, (Y/n)."

You nod at Giyuu and pick up the katana carefully. The sheath is a light blue with tiny white snowflakes hand painted on. "It's beautiful. Thank you." You smile and bow at Haganezuka.

"Yeah yeah..." He huffs and crosses his arms. "Nichirin swords are also called color-changing katana. Their color changes depending on who is holding them.

You slowly pull out the katana and hold it up. It takes a few seconds before the blade starts to turn white. You gasp and stare at the sword in amazement. You go to say something but are cut off.

Your crow flies down to the window. "Kaw! Kaw! (Y/n) (L/n)! You must head for a town east. This is your first job as a demon slayer!" The three of you listen to the crow speak. "Children are going missing every night from their beds!"

Today, an infodump on flower symbolism.

Let’s get some basics out of the way, a flower being crushed represents the destruction of whatever it symbolizes, a character associated with a flower usually has an important connection to at least two of the meanings, there is no real flower that represents death or dying but it agreed upon Poisonous flowers are the standard for representation of someone dangerous, if flower is associated with one character, and it follows someone around it will either represent a lingering presence or the pressure to confront them about something, this isn’t an exact science flowers mean different things in different cultures the information I give is based on western standards.

Daffodils: Daffodils mean new beginnings, rebirth, resilience, good fortune, hope and joy. Pink daffodils Represent Pride and Uniqueness. Legends also say ironically say a single daffodil brings bad luck. Daffodils also are a symbol of cancer awareness.

Hibiscus: The color determines the meaning. Red means romantic love and passion. Pink is platonic love, friendship and family love. Yellow represents good luck, happiness and fortune. White is purity and innocence. Pink can also be innocence but it’s mainly white. Purple represents intelligence, knowledge, wisdom and mystery. All hibiscus represents temporary and delicate beauty.

Moonflowers: Moonflowers mean Romance, Mystery, hope and femininity or in folklore it means an unseen enchantments. They are also toxic to eat and can cause skin irritation if you want to play with that.

Lavenders: Lavender means Peace, Tranquility, Purity, Cleanliness, Devotion, love, loyalty and protection. After the Stonewall Riots lavender became a symbol of LGBTQ+ empowerment.

Tiger Lillys: Tigers Lillys are symbols of Wealth, Prosperity, Pride, Confidence, Energy, Enthusiasm, Warmth, Self empowerment and The Cycle of life. The flower is also associated with Mercy and Compassion.

Sunflowers: We all subconsciously associate sunflowers with Positivity. It also is associated with Loyalty, Adoration, Resilience, Longevity, Spiritual awakening and faithfulness.

Snapdragons: Snapdragons represent Strength, Grace, Good luck, Spirituality, Innocence and purity in magic, passion, protection from Witchcraft, Charm against falsehoods and deception.

Marigolds: Marigolds mean Warmth, Joy, happiness, the sun, resilience, passion, life and death, love, good luck and fall harvests. They can also mean remembrance and Mourning.

Dahlias: Dahlias have many meanings and they can depend on the colors. Dahlias can mean Eternal love, commitment, inner strength, positivity, growth, Standing out, beauty and kindness. The colors with meaning are Red which is power and strength, Pink is kindness, beauty and grace, Black is betrayal and sadness, Purple is dignity and royalty, Green is fresh starts and positive change and white is virtue and innocence.

3 - 2 A Slippery Slope to Homicide

I feel... actually good about this??? I bet that means someone's gonna come and shove me down again

After LOTS of drafting Sunflower is done, taking some peacock vibes from Raven's suggestion :3 Their hair and tail are made of petals (of course), and when they remove their helmet their hair spreads out like a flower. Their feet have retractable claws that function as built-in skis - not pleasant to look at, but very convenient! I'm quite happy with the result!

DON'T READ THE EPISODES WITHOUT READING THE BOOKS!!

LOGICO: I hate this. IRRATINO: Please calm down, Logico, you’re so high-strung! I’m taking you on vacation because I love you. I want you to enjoy yourself. There are things to do that don’t involve murder! Why not you try something you’ve never done before?

Logico grunts in response. They are at a ski resort… should he? 

LOGICO: All right… I will.

Logico puts on a helmet and goggles that don’t fit to cover his one eye. He straps on boots, and grabs his gear, Irratino prouder than ever. 

BLAXTON: Oh my god, Logico! Race me! RACE ME!

Taupe, who isn’t wearing anything extra other than gloves on his feet, jumps and clicks his heels. A painfully adorable giant fluffy boy that looks like a teddy bear also comes out to greet Logico.

CINNAMON: Welcome… to the slopes! <3 LOGICO: All right all right I’m not RACING anybody, this is only my first time.

Hack Blaxton completely ignores him and positions himself alongside him. But just as they’re about to start, Taupe jumps in front of them.

TAUPE: -... --- -.. -.-- LOGICO: Huh? SERIOUSLY?

Taupe nods with its whole body. Logico glares at Irratino like it’s his fault.

IRRATINO: I… [sigh]

Some basic investigation occurs, Logico removing himself from his ridiculous getup. Immediately, he suspects the new character, who is far too perfect to be innocent.

LOGICO: You… Where were you when this BODY ‘appeared’? CINNAMON: Oh… well… I don’t know… I don’t go on the ski lift so… not there.

He tries to hide his face in his huge paws.

BLAXTON: I also can’t go on a ski lift! I’ll throw up! I did on some people last time I was here. It sucked, but you shoulda seen their faces! HAHAHAHA!

Taupe is on the ski lift, however, and is flying away. Logico tries to run uphill, but cannot due to his no legs. He flops on his belly and tries to claw his way up instead, until Irratino picks him up and reaches the top. Taupe flops down out of the lift, but has nothing to say. He slides a wet piece of paper to Logico. 

“Cinnamon has a snowball, Deductive.”

It’s probably from Irratino, but he’s not usually this cold about it. He only ever calls him ‘Deductive’ nowadays if something’s wrong.

LOGICO: Irratino, are you alright? IRRATINO: Yeah, why? LOGICO: … 

When he re-examines the clues, he discovers that the murderer was Hack Blaxton, who’s all the way at the bottom of the hill. And the fastest way to get to the bottom of the hill…

Logico gets his gear again, and Cinnamon and Taupe cheer for him. And he glides down, screaming, before nearly crashing directly into the culprit. 

BLAXTON: You coulda killed me!! LOGICO: Well, YOU killed someone ELSE. BLAXTON: Fine. I killed him. But- but it was for research! I’m writing a murder mystery, and as Dame Obsidian always says, ‘Write what you know’! LOGICO: Well now you can write about getting caught. BLAXTON: Aww… IRRATINO: I’m proud of you, Logico. You did great! LOGICO: Yes yes, alright… I’m not a child, you know.

Irratino picks him up anyway. At least Logico has calmed down a bit.

2 Paper Marios Hypothesis

So Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam introduced a Paper Mario from another world that came from a book. This has lead many people to conclude that the Paper Games are not canon to the Canon of Mario Tales. However, I disagree with this and believe there is an alternative answer to this.

So I believe there are 2 Paper Marios, once from the Paper Jam Book, and the other is the Main Mario from all the games taking on a Paper form. So what do I mean by Paper form? Well on the back of the box of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door it says "Time passes, the pages turn...and a new chapter unfolds in an unfamiliar land! Get ready for a two-dimensional role-playing adventure for the ages as Mario returns to paper form to discover a mystery that sleeps behind an ancient, legendary portal called the Thousand-Year Door." This text alongside things like dev interviews has lead me and some others to believe the Main Mario is able to take on a Paper Form. This would be similar to the Pixel Form we know he can take on through various means.

So as for the Paper Jam Paper Mario. Something that goes overlooked or is seen as a continuity error in Paper Jam is the Sticker Crown Pokey showing up, when the Crown should only be around if some messed with the Sticker Comet. However, I think this is telling us that the events of Paper Mario: Sticker Star hasn't fully happened to this Paper Mario. This would also explain why there is no Paper Starlow running around. This Paper Mario has yet to go through the events of Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story.

Now someone might point to Mario folding himself into an airplane in PMTTYD, the sentient Scissors, or the Paint and other craft themes of the Paper games and say Mario can't do that. But first off as established before, Mario more than likely can take on a Paper Form, but let's say he can't. This is a high fantasy world with man eating plants, alongside sentient talking trees and sunflowers, hexapod dragons, still living non-avian dinosaurs, reanimated skeletons, turtles that can remove their shells, straight up magic, clouds you can physically ride on, the ability to enter dreams, zippers on terrain you can unzip, swim through the air like a cartoon, be roll yourself up into a wall and use your body as an attack, be flattened like a pancake, or have your body turned into a pinball etc. So Mario being able change his body into an airplane is not too farfetched. Also, sentient scissors is not too different from Exor and Kleever. That and if I am correct the scissors were brought too life by the Fold of Life technique aka magic. Meanwhile paint and vim are a thing in the Mario world.

Now while someone might agree with all this, they may still contend that Sticker Star and Beyond is canon, and may insist it's part of the Paper Jam Continuity. Now as established before the Paper Jam Paper Mario is yet to go through the events of PMSS, there is something else here. We all know the original 3 Paper games referenced the events of the previous games several times. Parakarry shows up in PMTTYD, Kolorado is referenced by the presence of his father's skeleton, and there is a picture of the Paper Mario 64 characters. Meanwhile in Super Paper Mario Francis' Room has references to the previous games. Well turns out PMSS and Paper Mario: The Origami King do the same thing.

In PMSS in the Shy Guy Jungle's Trash Are you can find letters from Parakarry and Goombella which says the following. "Thank you for your letter. Sorry I'm not here to receive it, but I will get back to you shortly. Thanks." Parakarry "Observations on the Ancient Civilization of the Chomp Ruins." University of Goom Goombella And in PMTOK we see photos of Peach from every single Paper Mario Games.

So there are 2 Paper Marios, and this also explains all the information in the main games and Paper games that point to them being canon. Welland "intro" post, this is as much of an introduction you can make of a character who's already been around a good while

Welland's entire territory is a farm in england. The farm itself has a lot of history, but Welland was only formed by malcolm, the former king of Welland. The country itself though is more on the scottish side due to why it was created. Basically, old man Malcolm is a scot who dearly missed home and dearly hated england, but he didn't want to leave his farm behind, so he declared his land to be a scottish micronation to technically be home while not having to go home.

Welland is mainly a sunflower farm, but they also have a smaller section of it dedicated to growing other things that they don't sell but live off of. There are also a few fruit trees here and there across the propriety.

The Well part of Welland refers to the locally infamous well of the farm, it's kinda useless cause it's so old it's dry now and there's a newly formed pond nearby (at least as new as a pond created during ww2 can be). The village nearby tell rumors of the owners of the farm throwing people they want to get rid off down the well, but that's just fake rumors.. right?

Welland is generally a chill person, i jokingly call him a saint cause he never gets angry, doesn't hate anyone ever and always believes and brings out the best in the people around him (cancelled for being a mary sue) Sadly he inherited his dads' curse of not being able to cook, the only thing he doesn't burn is roasted sunflower seeds and any barbecue related thing.

He's mute! It's selective mutism, which means he can't talk in certain (in his case most) situations because of anxiety. Which means that functionally, he never talks, but it can happen that he will say one or two words like once in a blue moon when with people he can trust and isn't nervous around. If you're wondering, he has a scottish accent. L england.

He's ALWAYS wearing overalls and his straw hat. The overalls are subject to change cause his wardrobe contains every overall known to man, but the straw hat is always the same, cause it's a very sentimental item. Taking it off gives him anxiety that can only be calmed by putting it back on.

He's closest with Stomaria, but his other friends include Peroya, Femmerica, Slowjamastan, Saxoland, a mystery pink character, a mystery red character, and maybe your ocs too! He will befriend anyone (threat)

Round 2; Sunflower 3 Vs Red Daylily

First, let's talk about the Sunflower 3

Meaning: Unwavering faith and unconditional love Why this flower was chosen: They are packed with symbolism in his media Description: Hes just a sweet little boy whose mom died when he was ten. his brother dissapeared at the same time. Then he went on a quest with a thief with a limping leg, a princess (who is. really gay tbh) and his dog!

Now, let's talk about the Red Daylily

Meaning and why this flower was chosen: The vibrant red means energy, power and love. Daylilies mean parent-child bonds in chinese culture, as well as forgetting something (you gift them to someone who wants/you want to forget smth). For the victorians, the fact that these flowers only last a day gives them a flirtatious and unstable/misterious/untrusworthy meaning, as well as symbolizing the early stages of a romance. This character has a religious affinity to blood which gives her supernatural powers. To him, blood means family (as in blood ties), specifically his mother which he never met (died not long after giving birth), but believes lives through his blood. The forgetting part is because her dad forced her to slaughter her pet lamb, which was so traumatic she completely forgot about. as for the victorian meaning, this character is constantly moving around and doesn't let herself get attached to anything or anyone, but is very flirty and charming with everyone to fight that loneliness (it doesnt work very well, since her relationships are always superficial and short-lived) Description: She was the only "son" of a very shitty conservative catholic dad. She discovered a paranormal ritual as a teen and got exorcised for it. Since then, she planned to fake her own death and run away. She did that and has been traveling around america since she was 18, charming people and making short-lived superficial relationships, not even telling her lovers her real name. Most importantly, she learned about her paranormal affinity with blood and how to control it, making a living out of heists and assassinations that use it as a weapon. She believes the power of the blood is the ghost of her mother guiding her to be a saint/messiah, and she doesnt know the difference between love and hate, its just blood in her head.

I actually don't have many bsd characters I associate with particular flowers but I am obsessed with hanakotoba so here we go!!

Chuuya: You guessed it, camellia. It's not my fault he's always surrounded in camellias in official arts + the Japanese meaning of the flower, 'noble death' really suits him, given his personality. I also associate him with red daisies (I just feel like it) and freesia (flower language: trust and friendship!)

Dazai: Oh boy I'm about to get very annoying so bear with me. I associate Dazai with multiple flowers. First, sunflowers! I don't know if this is part of flower language but you know how sunflowers are always following the sun right? Constant inclination towards the light, just like current Dazai. Yes, he has his ups and downs, and yes, he's unsure of his own actions sometimes, but he'll never turn away from the light Odasaku pointed him towards. That's why I think sunflowers suit him. ADA Dazai is VERY dear to me.

I also associate him with daffodils for its flower meaning, rebirth and new beginnings. PM Dazai is sakura to me because of its contradictory meanings (life and death, beauty and violence).

Kunikida: Gladiolus! Because it means strength of character and moral integrity. Kunikida is also one of the few bsd characters with the strongest characteristics, in my opinion.

Kenji: Sunflower again, simply because it suits him (both flower language and aesthetic. I've seen so many art of Kenji with sunflowers and they make me so happy)

Atsushi and Kyouka: I associate both of them with daffodils, again, for it's flower meaning. Atsushi specifically with white lilies too, just because they match his aesthetic.

Fyodor: Black lilies. Because they mean beauty, mystery and death. Also the aesthetics suit him.

Yosano: Iris! They symbolize elegance, strength and admiration in Japanese and I've seen an art of Yosano standing in an iris field once and it stuck with me ever since.

Soukoku: I associate these bitches with too many flowers but I'll give you the ones I think of the most after the recent events. Manjushage or spider lilies, because they mean 'final goodbye' and asters because they mean 'I won't forget you' :)

Nami, Sanji and the Sky - Part 1

For a while now, I noticed a strange symbolism that both Nami and Sanji share throughout the story of One Piece, and since the manga is coming to an end, I feel like this symbolism is becoming more evident and could eventually have an important role for the conclusion of the story.

Rather than a theory, this post is more of an analysis (and compilation) of the connection both Nami and Sanji share with the element Sky.

I will be writing two more posts: one listing every content I found about sky (specially the ones connected to Sanji and Nami) while reading the manga, I will also include some video analysis/theories I found talking about that as well (those theories will be properly linked); and the other will be my conclusion as to what all of that information could mean.

For now, I do have a feeling about what it is, but I decided to read the manga from the beginning first to see what else I could find before making up my mind.

So:

In Part 1: I will bring up every symbolism evident in Nami's and Sanji's storylines, what the Sky itself symbolises to the Universe of One Piece and what it could mean to Nami and Sanji.

In Part 2: I will make a compilation of every manga panel that talks about the Sky (it will be edited as I read through the manga).

Part 3 (last part) will be my theory on what the Sky Symbolism could imply to Nami's and Sanji's storylines and the end of One Piece - this part will take a while to be finished, as I plan to read the entire manga first.

WARNING: Although I intend to write about the characters individualy, I will make romantic connections between them as well. So you have been warned it will contain SaNami.

So let's get started.

So the first thing that is interesting to note (and everyone already knows) is that every important character in One Piece, especilally the Straw Hats, are linked to multiple symbols at the same time; be it through their names, the Devil Fruit they ate, their roles in the crew, or even the numbers assingned to them, Oda made sure that a lot of his characters had a rich background, and that is one of the reasons that we love them so much.

There is even a One Peace Wiki page that registers every symbolisms Oda created and talked about in his SBSs. And we do know that there are even more hidden symbols he leaves around the manga and color spreads and doesn't talk about or avoids to answer when questioned.

For the sake of keeping this part short, I will use three of the Straw Hats as examples (besides Sanji and Nami).

Luffy:

Monkey (SBS) and Tiger (colorspreads)

There is, of course, many other elements related to each of these three characters alone, but let's keep it short.

This means that Oda does give a lot of attention to those details, and it might not be far-fetched to analyse the symbols he linked to both Nami and Sanji in the manga, colorspreads and SBSs, with more depth.

Now, as a shipper, I am biased to say that this could imply a romantic connection, but even if it doesn't, I feel like there is something between these two that are worth giving a look, both for them individualy and together.

So let's see the symbols Oda assigned them in SBSs, Color Spreads, and Manga (that we know of):

I think we can already see how many of the elements of the list they do share in common. In this post, however, let's focus on the sky elements.

So, why is it that I am focusing on that? I mean, why do I think it's worth pointing this out?

Because throughout the manga, Oda has made it clear how important the Sky is, along with three other symbols: Earth, Sea, and now the Sun.

I think you know where I am going at.

So, it's a known fact that Oda used the name of three Greek/Roman Gods (who also happen to be the name of planets) to name the Ancient Weapons.

And it has already been brought up that weirdly, Luffy's three strongest nakamas (after himself) are connected to each of these symbols.

Pluton-> Pluto (Roman name)-> Hades (Greek name)-> God of the Underworld (Hell)-> Underworld->Earth-> Zoro: King of Hell, son of the Earth (Tera) - Zoro is also connected to Wano, where Pluton is located

Poseidon-> Neptune (Roman name)-> Poseidon: God of the Seas-> Sea-> Jimbei: First son of the Sea - Jimbei is from Fishmen Island where Poseidon is located.

Uranus-> Father Sky, the personification of the Heavens (before Zeus took over)-> Sky-> Sora Vinsmoke and Sora, Warrior of the Sea -> Sanji

(Weirdly, besides Black Leg and Mr. Prince, Sanji doesn't have any other alias, much less one connected to the Sky... yet?)

(Also, since Jimbei and Zoro came from the places where the Ancient Weapons are Hidden... could it be that the Kingdom of Germa once ruled over the place where Uranus is hidden? Maybe they also had a previous connection to the Ancient Kingdom? Hmmm, theory for another post)

BUT it's important to coment that we were only able to make these connections NOW, after 26 years, because only now Oda has revealed: Zoro's mother's name, Sanji's mother's name, the name of the last Ancient Weapon, and that Jimbei (Knight of the Sea) would be part of the crew.

So why only now?

To me, it's because One Piece is coming to an end, and these elements will play a pivotal role in the Great War to come.

Following that idea, in my opinion, this also means that the connection Sanji and Nami share with the Sky is not only important to their storylines but also to the conclusion of One Piece.

And, because Oda is finally revealing more about the Void Century and the main character's backstories, only now are we able to connect the previously missing dots.

So what about Nami?

Now, if Sanji alone had a parallel to the god of Heavens, the post would end here haha but weirdly Nami also is deeply connected to it, just as much as Sanji, maybe even more than him, actually. However, we still don't know much about her... yet, so we only have small crumbs to make this relation.

First, Nami's past is still a mistery to this day. Even after 26 years of One Piece, the only thing we do know about her is that Nami and Nojiko were found in a village called Oykot.

And I have this feeling that it's because Nami's past will be a huge spoiler to the end of One Piece and is directly connected to the Void Century. I will not get into much detail as to why here because I do plan to make a post focusing only on Nami and the weird hints Oda left about her in the manga and colorspreads.

So back to her connection with the Sky.

Before, Nami's connection was related to the weather and the seas (weirdly, Sanji also has a big connection to the Seas) but, recently she acquired Zeus and, if we look back to her story throughout the manga, we can see that there were also hints of her connection with the sky through her abnormal knowledge and love for navigation (they were just a little bit hidden).

As we know, Zeus is also the God of the Sky and Lightning and... wait, what is his Roman name again? Jupiter (hold that thought)

Another interesting connection Nami has with the Sky is where she was sent by Kuma to train: a sky island named Wetheria, where wizards studied the science of weather. Isn't it weird that it's a Sky Island that has one of the most advanced knowledge in weather whilst Nami has always had this pull to learn about it ever since she was a child?

And let's not mention how in the Skypea arc, Nami was the only "disciple" to almost follow Enel to the moon (of course, she was only trying to survive and not be killed by him, but the fact that Oda chose Nami to be in that situation might be an indicative of something).

Now that we saw how the Sky is connected to Sanji and Nami individualy, let's bring up some interesting moments in the manga where the Sun/Sea/Earth/Sky symbolism appears, besides the Ancient Weapons.

There is one that caught my attention the most (although the Sea does not make part of it):

Big Mom.

More specifically, the three weapons of her own choice and creation. Who are they?

Well, we have:

Prometheus (Sun/Fire)

Napoleon (Hat/Sword)

To me, they are worth taking a look since it's very strange that Oda keeps on bringing up these same symbols again and again.

Zeus (Cloud/Lightining)

Now, I know that many might not agree with me in this, but, in my opinion, those weapons are again a direct parallel to some of the Straw Hats, but not in the way you think.

So...

Prometheus (Sun/Fire)-> Luffy (Sun God Nika)

Napoleon (Hat/Sword)-> Zoro (Swordsman)

Zeus (Cloud/Lightining)->???

You might ask: Why did I put the question marks for Zeus and not just write Sanji's name? I think that, by now, you can guess why...

My first choice would have been Sanji because, since they are seen as weapons, the only one left to symbolise Zeus would be him - and I do think they fit in many levels (the reason being what I already listed above)... but not all. Why?

Because Zeus is also connected to Nami. And that's where my confusion started, and I didn't really know who to assign Zeus to.

It gets even more suspicious if you notice that Nami got Zeus first during the Whole Cake Arc, where we also learn Sanji's mother's name, creating another big connection between him and the Sky.

And there is, of course, the servant moment (LMAO)

Which kinda implies that Sanji is also a servant for Nami, like Zeus...? Lol

Anyway, because of the Nami/Zeus interactions in Whole Cake and Nami's conection to weather and thunder clouds, we can imply that Nami would be a much better candidate to the Sky symbolism in relation to Big Mom's trio weapons and, maybe, to what it could imply to the end of One Piece.

Until Wano.

That's where I got even more confused???

You see, to everyone who read/watched Wano knows there were moments dedicated to the development of Nami and Zeus's relationship.

Zeus abandoned her because of how scared he was of Big Mom, but then he (kinda) overcame his fear and chose to be with Nami. That's another parallel he has with Nami since, in Oniagshima's arc, Nami also overcame her fears, and even at the threat of death, acknowledged that Luffy would be the Pirate King.

To me, the message Oda wanted to give was how sometimes we must overcome our fears to stand for what is right and for what we believe in, no matter the odds.

So, Nami->Zeus, right?

Well, kinda. Because in this same arc, Big Mom (with Prometheus' suggestion) had the great idea of creating a substitute for Zeus.

And, alas, we have Hera, whose name is based on ZEUS'S WIFE?

The interesting thing here is that it was Prometheus who asked for a girlfriend, but then Big Mom (and Oda) decided to give a name that connected her and Zeus romantically?? Lol

So now, we have a female cloud, and she has the same powers as Zeus, so... does it mean Hera symbolizes Nami? The thing here is, Hera's design has a... very weird resemblance... to Sanji (?????)

(I know I'm reaching, but hear me out...)

First, if we look at the manga, she has the right eye covered by a mass of clouds that resemble hair, and she also has some swirls in her "hair" to resemble curls. Until here, it could just be a coincidence... but then we find out she is also blonde?? What??

And it gets me thinking about the entire Prometheus/Zeus/Hera dynamic as well.

In short: Prometheus doesn't like Zeus. Zeus betrays Big Mom. Prometheus wants a girlfriend, so he incentives Big Mom to get rid of Zeus permanently so she can create a girlfriend for him. Big Mom creates a substitute for Zeus, named Hera (who is the wife of Zeus in Greek mythology, but has NO RELATION to the Sky besides being married to the God of the Sky himself). Diferent from her God counterpart, Hera does not have any romantic interest.

Could this be some type of foreshadowing? If it is, of what?

Maybe Sanji or Nami will leave/betray the crew (it's funny because, in a way, both of them already did)?

Why did Big Mom decide to create those weapons exactly? And what is the point of this entire stoyline anyway?

Those are just some questions that got me thinking, but the important thing to take away from this is that now, we have four weapons, while two of them have the exact same function, although one was cast aside... so:

Prometheus (Sun/Fire)-> Luffy (Sun God Nika)

Napoleon (Hat/Sword)-> Zoro (Swordsman)

Zeus (Cloud/Lightining)-> Nami (?)

Hera (Cloud/Lightning)-> Sanji (?)

Now, even if we take away the romantic connotations in the Hera/Zeus dynamic (only because of their names, and it doesn't really mean that much), it doesn't take away the fact that Oda created two weapons with the same function.

Another group connected with the Sky (and that could relate to Sanji) in the World of One Piece are the Gorosei.

A lot of people already noticed the weird similarity that the Swordsman and the Blond Goroseis have with the Wings of the King of the Pirates and that it could imply that, in the near future, Zoro and Sanji, would face them.

The funny thing, however, is that, when we finally found out the name of the first Gorosei (Saturn), a lot of people theorized that the Blond Gorosei could be Venus (because he looked like Sanji's relative and Sanji is a very... loving individual) and the Swordsman could be Mars (because he is always carrying swords).

And those were on point theories, in my opinion (I also believed that was the case), but Oda had other plans.

Shortly after, he revealed their names and... the Swordsman Gorosei is the one actually connected with Venus. And he is responsible for Finances (??)

However, these reveals still create interesting connections with both Sanji and Zoro, since Venus there is a theory that Venus stole the Gold from Wano (link to the theory) which is where is supposedly from and the Blond Gorosei, Sheperd, controls agriculture (food).

But what I want to highlight here is the planet that represents Sheperd: Jupiter.

As I mentioned before, Jupiter is the Roman counterpart of Zeus. So if he really ends up being Sanji's rival... he will have another connection with the Sky.

Now, after all of these interesting hints, what could they mean?

I honestly am not sure yet (lol)and that is one of the reasons I decided to first read the entire manga and write 2 more parts for this Analysis so I can have more data and a better understanding of the meaning of the Sky for One Piece as a whole.

So in part 2, I will collect every single moment related to Sanji/Nami/Sky I find in the manga.

Once it's done, in part 3 I will be writing my conclusion and theory about what it could mean to the One Piece storyline.

Caoimhe: No, but only because she doesn't feel like she's competing with anyone.

Jacob: Jacob thinks he has a rival but it's pretty one-sided on his part. He runs a small Youtube channel where he documents paranormal activities and mysteries, and there's another small Youtube channel that does the same thing. Both channels have a lot of overlap in the topics they cover, but the other channel has higher production values so they tend to do better on views then his channel. Gail: Kind of? It's mostly other people comparing her to her older sister. Teachers and other adults asking "Why can't you be more like her?", but she tries not to let it affect her.

Hey, sorry I fell off the face of the earth for a few months��� Life got busy and unfortunately some stuff happened that’s left me unable to really edit anymore, completely wrecking my plans of expanding more pages. I do wanna say, I know there’s been some concern about screenshooting Daily Pass being illegal? I wouldn’t be too worried about that. I think it’s more of a gray area thing, AFAIK it says that if you screenshot any episode in the app, even non-daily pass, and I’ve seen wikis for Daily Pass series that have uploaded screenshots post-series ending and they haven’t gotten in trouble. -> it's more about once series in DP, for most case of people (like me who using android phone, or accessing CPC on website as eben thou my PC is MAC...) - they can't screen shooting any panels of CPC webtoon anymore

DP does not prevent screenshotting -> for Apple only, likely

In the worst scenario as CPC truly goes DP and we can't do these impossible tasks.. At least people with iphone could still screenshooting CPC panels that necessary for wiki stuffs

So in nutshell, this gives some breathes for CPC wiki staffs to not obsessed with reaching the impossible task of images

Leland is the hardest because he shrouded with the mystery and even the recent FP ep still not make sense of things - it seems if the CPC decide to make prequel story, I am gonna to hope it's Leland (fans in the past like it to be Aurelia, but she essentially a minor villain-turned to be supporter midway which her story likely only about her blood father and how exactly she got cursed) - that's not many engaging story for prequel unlike Leland - despite all the flashbacks so far and his interactions with everyone possible, he still shrouded with mystery. There's so many quotes in Frederick's page - but this one imho fitting the most as depicting him to be "the narrator"

Prince Frederick of the Plaid Kingdom, also known as many aliases including called as "Sunflower" by his bullies, is the third prince of the Plaid Kingdom which formally engaged with the third princess of Pastel Kingdom - Gwendolyn. Initially against the idea of getting marrying with Gwendolyn because he both disappointed (as he mistaken Gwen with Jamie from the portrait, thoughts Gwen as haunted spirit instead) and scared (his first thought over Gwen is thinking her as a witch that will poisoned him with apple pie that she bakes after meeting with the real witch that poisoning Jamie) - to the point screaming in frustation to his oldest brother about his thought that Gwen is ugly. Gwen that overhears him feels so hurt and then running to the haunted forest which lets her to meet the CPC, the cursed royals that later on as the story progress - helps both Gwen and Frederick to healing from their trauma as living in their extreme abnormal family while having romantic relationship together.

this, I've shown in bare how flawed Frederick is - but he just human. I dislike anyone that can't understand that his mistake in the past which depicting clearly of his 'shallow' judgemental ice-cold Plaid Prince is just a mask. The mask that everyone in the CPC actually have, not only Blaine. Even sweet Gwen, the cinnamonroll sweet protagonist in her wrong take of selfishness - she hopes that she can skip to her happily-ever-after without the pain of hurt... When in reality, there's always gonna be "earn your happy ending". To anyone that wondering about what's CPC actual message is.. the means actually not simple notion of "Self-Love" - is always about the mask, our 2 faces

This page trivia literally the thing that make me fighting for the nail of preventing any character bashings in the fandom while stopping the infantilized of any characters espc the princesses... I'm ceritified CPC deranged with no one yet breaking my record of rereading CPC... as rereading is so fun, on certain episode or scenes that we see again from another's person perspective.. we could get understandings of things. Nice example is Prez' backstory of getting cursed VS Whitney's backstory of nearly killed by someone that he accidentally cursed and meeting 'healer' like people which transform him

there's so many contrasting groups of the CPC fandom regarding Whitney which in nutshell : I am simping for Whitney so hard as he's so hot which also I want him to be happy so please LambCat make WhitPelnia canon so this make ZuTara ship-like to be canon in the story VS are you guys are blind? He's literally the person that cursing Prez which makes her miserable to transformed as werespider every month.. Prez never entitled to returning his feeling after all, and Prez clearly never wants romance w anyone

Both of the 2 groups are valid tbh, in extreme 'ship wars' of wanting Prez with Whitney VS Prez as a true single girlboss

^^ but no matter what, let's love Whitney as a character and a justiable hunk to be simping as that image for feature? Dang so hot as he embracing his curse of tiger stripes (followed with tiger hoodie) while putting one of his leg in bossy pose. Whitney is so fine and as he's truly redeemed - anyone that simping him won't be part of hypocrite dual standards that put "still in villainy role era but put on pedestal" + "infantilized the main characters and believe they won't do any wrongs"

IMHO in the engaging retelling of Fairy Tales as CPC is... Whitney, the ultimate villain in his story at the past that didn't care of anyone as long as he could get what he wants... Also ultimate perfect example of the heel-to-face turn (is a group of trope, as Leland the secret fairy tale lover know tropes) as from villain role in the past he becomes the good guys allies - the main supporter for the hero wannabe role, Frederick. In the awkwardness of him, he's the catalyst for Frederick to transform to be a better person (that he knows he can, but just not sure how) - in the name of him getting healed from his past trauma(s) that solidified as his inner child, make self-questioning about himself espc his relationships with his brothers, and the most important one to realizes that he likes Gwen - as it's become the rationale depiction of the strongest power in the fairy tales stories.. the power of love

All of that just from one meditation session from Whitney! Although like Whitney say, it's need to be repeated ahahah.

I like to expand CPC wiki pages by taking deeper about physchology, as boy it's giving birth of so many things! Plaid Royals Family dynamic for example, is easily an example of abused family that could happen to anyone and anywhere - but most didn't notice, espc the victims

There's so many great quotes in the CPC but imho Whitney's quote to Frederick, my fave ever quote in the series.. Is basically telling the life message for everyone.

this such a strong (shounen) protagonist moment from Frederick, which make me thinking that CPC delivered as shounen manga which making him as the protagonist (MC, ML) with Gwen as his destined love interest (FC).. nothing change from the overall story? It's also checking out itself as anti-mainstream shounen by making following things:

debunked protagonist trope to be an orphan, and gives interesting plot twist that the main bad guy is his father all along with his mother is the red herring villain

make the love interest role to be more powerful as to not make her just standing there awaiting for the protagonist to come - but her mere existence is the motivator for MC

hello! sorry for taking 2 billion years to reply; i've been going through it.

onto some fic recs:

ace of spades by jemkay - magic, fantasy, politics - this is my favourite kookmin fic and it's a wip but i've read it 3 times now and if it's never finished, i'd be perfectly okay with that because it is such a fantastic fic that i will be grateful i got to read even in its incomplete glory. jimin has the ability to control death, sort of? and he is able to come back over and over even after he dies. there's also magic and magic users have a special connection with an animal - jimin's is a cute little bunny - and the worldbuilding is SO well thought out!!!! there's just so much to dig into with this fic.

you never walk alone by jemkay - fantasy, omegaverse, tw for abuse and violence - this will 100% make you cry but it's so incredibly good. this is definitely more character driven and jeongguk focused but still very worth it. jemkay's worldbuilding is incredible. she always weaves everything together in her fics and every fic of hers i get to read is a little gift. also, her ability to write abuse in a realistic way and also add in how abuse would impact werewolves is so so so brilliant and clever?? she's just incredibly talented and i love her.

firewatch by ashlyn17 - a murder mystery/thriller - i really enjoyed this and ashlyn17 is probably one of the best action/adventure writers in kookmin fandom, i think. she writes really engaging plot driven fic and jimin ends up with amnesia in this fic so you're trying to figure out what's happening with him while forest ranger jeongguk is dealing with a stalker who is after jimin and is threatening violence against jeongguk and the other rangers.

sunflower by rkiveink - this features autistic!jeongguk and i really enjoyed how rkiveink depicted autism. it's well done and thoughtful but i'm not autistic so my opinion is kinda irrelevant at the end of the day. i also just enjoyed how jimin grows more confident in this by seeing that confidence in jeongguk! also jeongguk is just so...cool? i really love how unapologetically himself he is and i love all the LARPing stuff -3-
