I love how my sock toppers look like long bloomers! I desperately want long bloomers but I never get around to buying them :(

I had my oral testing for my B2 French certification so I wanted to wear something a little nicer. That means wearing something insanely formal for most people :)

I really like this skirt. It was a bit over 15 degrees so I didn't need to wear a coat or thermal leggings!!! I'm kinda sad that the weather is getting nicer because now I have to start being careful about what I wear so that I don't overheat.

It's the end of another Broadway touring season for Playhouse Square so I thought I'd post my current collection of all the shows I've seen at Playhouse since 2017 😊

I've been privileged enough to be able to get season tickets for the past two years and it's been amazing. Some day I'd love to be able to afford to see a show in New York but I love going to Playhouse. The tours are always incredible.

Here's to adding more and more! New season start soon!

just realized i never posted this mini rant about the vs show:

look ik everyone's saying it wasn't as good but i think it was good. there were only three things that ruined everything:

THE STAGE. tell me WHY the audience was literally on the catwalk. i get the concept but i feel like an elevated stage with lights on the side used to do so so much

THE HAIR. all i want in life is bombshell hair and they didn't give bombshell hair. it's just disrespect to put adriana in a ponytail like that. the most beautiful woman in the world and they didn't bother to give her iconic bombshell hair? please. bare minimum. you should be lucky she even looks at you guys.

you know how there used to be like the narration and the behind the scenes? that was huge for the show's overall success and aesthetic. seeing the girls getting ready and panicking and all the work that went into the show THAT'S WHAT I WANT it makes it into a movie-like thing with a whole storyline. here it didn't feel like there was a storyline.

otherwise everything else was a slay especially the casting. it literally felt like the avengers assembling like WDYM VITTORIA IMAAN BARBARA GIGI BELLA ADRIANA CANDACE ALL IN ONE SHOW WDYMMMM THAT'S THE STUFF OF LEGENDS

Have you noticed the rise of young adult aimed media lately? The other day I was discussing the topic with a very dear friend of mine who surprised me by saying that she doesn't mind that at all and will gladly watch shows aimed at a younger audience.

I've been thinking about that a lot - I remember shows and movies like The Devil wears Prada, SaTC, Shoppaholic etc that featured main characters in their 20s-30s but were enjoyed by teenagers as well. These days I feel like we get the opposite, with Euphoria, Stranger Things etc - shows with a main focus on (supposed) teenagers that are aimed at older audiences as well. Very interesting!

...and annoying to me personally since I don't really find (americanised) teen life very interesting or relatable. I might rewatch a show I enjoyed while I was a teenager and I have watched shows aimed at a younger audience because I knew they would mention a topic I care about a lot that isn't discussed in adult media most of the time - but it took a while before I convinced myself I wanted to watch that show badly enough to put up with first kisses and pop quizzes and spring dances. My friend, again, has a completely different view on that and mentioned that she will gladly watch The Summer I Turned Pretty for fun and relaxation - which genuinely shocked me (because I can’t relate, not because I’m judging her — or you, if you like those shows).

So now I have to ask

Honestly the people saying that they’re sorry to SEED fans because the movie feels like a teen drama fanfic is sending me, guys did you watch the series. I was expecting nothing less.
