To those Pokémon leaks and the specifically the myths. People do know that the moral of all those stories is that humans can be cruel?
In each one we have humans being the aggressors, that includes the Typhlosion one.
In the Ponyta story, it’s the rival eastern hunter who disrespects Pokémon, and hunted female Rapidash Ponyta. Specifically targeting the young, and his actions angered Rapidash and eventually led to his death at the hands of the western hunter. And I think the other point of this myth is to act in a sustainable way. Male Rapidash can breed with many females, but the females can’t, if you want to protect the population, you hunt the males. It’s why in real life, hunters are given a certain amount of “antlerless” moose tags.
For the Octillary Story it’s pretty cut and dry, human cruelty. Reading closely I’m not actually sure if the sex between the father and the Octillary was consensual or not, since the Octillary didn’t verbally consent, but it kept returning to the same spot perhaps to see the man? Regardless it’s sketchy as hell. The Son is where things are definite. The son was cruel to the Pokémon around him, injuring and maiming them for no other reason than his own enjoyment. He wasn’t hunting them for food, he was slaughtering them because he felt like it (tbh this reminds me a lot of big game hunters, who don’t intend to eat what they kill, who get the thrill of the hunt and a trophy. Which I believe disrespects the animal). The Son was also very much given a chance to repent. To forsake his old violent ways and become a better person but he refused and in the end it led to his death.
I would say the Slakoth story was very similar to the Octillary story in that we have a human being needlessly cruel to Pokémon to animals. And in having a child who was the same as the people she hurt she learned just how cruel she was. And the other women learned the same lesson when they killed her child, and she committed suicide. I get the vibe that this story has an anti-bullying message. To be honest it shouldn’t take having a child to realize one’s wrongs, but there it is.
And lastly we come to the Typhlosion story that everyone has been obsessing about. In a lot of ways it resembles old Japanese tales. I’ve read one in the past where a man meets a beautiful woman, and cheats on his wife with her, ending up married to this woman and having children. Eventually something breaks the spell over him and he finds out that he was living with a vixen underneath his own porch tbe whole time. The Typhlosion one follows a similar beat, that a woman stays with a man because he looks after her and takes care of her. She eventually finds out he’s a Typhlosion but she decides to stay with him in that moment instead of fleeing. The child they produce may or may not be out of rape, but reading the story it doesn’t seem like that. The way she sees the Typhlosion as her husband suggests that it was more consensual. When she wanted to return to the human realm and live as a human once more, she tried to shed her old life, but she wasn’t able to. And the humans saw that she was changed forever and were cruel to her and her child. Even her own family drove her out.
I guess one thing I want to say before I end this is. It seems like people here and on other places on the internet seem to take these stories as literal. Instead of what they’re supposed to be, which are myths. Myths and tales didn’t necessarily happen in the way told, or happen at all. The point of myths and tales is to provide insight into the world, to provide a story with some sort of lesson. It’s clear from the final version of these myths present in the DPP games that they reduced these myths to their base element to give the player an idea about the world. And myths make a world seem real.

Being autistic is hard.
Right now it’s hard because I have easily a four hour hyperfixation rant about the the 2010 live action Alice in Wonderland movie which I mostly hate (also love in the way you can only love such a deeply imperfect thing) but also am deeply fixated on as of right now. And no one wants to listen :(

Gregory (?) during the end of the Ruin trailer: Don’t give up on me yet.
Me, immediately presuming it’s Afton on some post-redemption arc/getting held against his will thing: Oh, my guy, I’m not going to. If I gotta free you and the actual Gregory from Glitchtrap, then I gladly will.

Hey!! ^^ How are you today? ^^
I saw you mentioned you have theories about why the Toon Patrol carry real weapons instead of toon weapons, despite toon weapons doing enough damage themselves. Would you like to expand on that?? You don't have to if you don't want to (You can ignore this if you want!), I'm just very curious!! ^^
Hi! I'm doing well. Had a bit of a bump a couple of days ago, but things are doing amazing now! I'm getting better with my driving lessons, and I've everything has just been going great!
As for my theories, I actually have three theories specifically. One I found a plothole in, one isn't that much, and the last one, I think, might be the most likely. Though I'm not 100% sure. I'd definitely like to know what you think and what your theories are ^^
1. It's a form of intimidation among an uninformed society.
This is the one I think is most likely. Remember, this is the forties, science is still not as advanced as it is today, and lord knows how long toons have been around. And, considering that toon physics and items can affect humans, I don't think physicists are working too much on looking into how Toontown and the residents work.
As such, perhaps not everyone knows about toon weapons being able to affect humans. The only people who would know the most are those who work a lot with toons, like the Valiants. And if so, then that might make the public not take toon gang's like the weasels seriously. Not to mention their appearance, despite having claws and sharp teeth, aren't really threatening. So the weasels carry both real weapons and toon weapons to make sure that any human they come across takes them seriously.
After all, we see here Smartass, Greasy, Psycho, and Stupid using their toon weapons, so obviously they know that toon weapons have affect on humans.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm not sure however if I'm entirely correct historically speaking. Obviously we had a better understanding of our world back then then we did three centuries ago, but we still didn't have everything quite right back then (not that we do today either). Not to mention the fact that this is in a fictional world where toons have come to life somehow, and their physics are strong enough to overpower our own even when they enter our world, so who knows really?
2. Toon guns are unreliable.
Look at how Eddie's gun and bullets react when he shoots at Doom.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even though they saw where Doom went, they still went down the wrong way, and Eddie just threw the gun away.
Toon guns, since they are toons as well, follow the same rules as all the other toons as well. As such, the weasels can't fully trust that they can do their jobs, and use real guns instead.
The plothole here though, is that we see Yosemeite Sam's gun working just like a normal gun in the movie. And the weasels' other weapons seem to be just fine too. So if they can get normal toon knives and bat's, they should be able to get normal toon guns too.
3. It's a sense of style and/or dependant on their skill sets.
Note how they all not only have their own weapons, but arsenal as well. Smartass and Greasy have a toon and human weapon each, Stupid and Psycho just have toon weapons, and Wheezy seems to only carry a human weapon and no toon weapons.
And in both the comic and official artwork, all the weasels are seen using guns, toon and human.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So perhaps it's just a matter of their preference and whatever experience they might have. Smartass and Greasy are flexible, Wheezy is the gunner, and Psycho and Stupid are the melee guys.
This one, I don't see any potholes in it, and it is the simplest one of all. But I can definitely see this one being the canon explanation.
Thank you so much for asking! How are you though? I hope you're doing great too ^^

honestly my advice for people questioning if they're aro is kind of the same as my advice for people questioning if they're trans which is do less worrying about whether or not you inherently fall into this arbitrary category and do more considering what you want in and from your life. like ultimately deconstructing societal ideals of what relationships (or gender) should be like and figuring out what you want them to look like in your life is what matters and whether or not you experience romantic attraction is kind of immaterial

“Agatha can’t control her powers and kills a bunch of people, this explains why Death is in love with her because it means she gets more bodies” No.
No no no.
I need “Agatha can’t control her powers and the first time someone blasted her with their magic they died right in front of her and she was only seven years old and terrified and alone until suddenly there was a small little girl across from her who gently took her hand and told her it was okay”
I need “Agatha can’t control her powers and had a tantrum, purple exploding out of her, but the other witch was too fast and Agatha blinked and they were dead on the ground and she scrambled back against the wall, curling up into a little ball and shaking, shaking, shaking, until someone just as young and soft as her stroked her hair back and told her they knew it was an accident”
I need “Agatha can’t control her powers and was beaten and bruised by her mother until she couldn’t take it anymore and ran off into the woods and was blasted by someone who thought she was a witch hunter, and she didn’t even realize what was happening until it was too late. Agatha climbing into a tree and scraping her cheek and trembling as she stared at the lifeless witch, something rattling deep inside of her that sounded like a stranger’s voice. And then the stranger appearing through the thick, standing over the dead body and instantly looking up, looking for Agatha. Finding her in the tree and climbing in with her. Smoothing a thumb across her cheek until it didn’t sting anymore”
I need “Agatha can’t control her powers and any spell she tries goes haywire, the final teacher that swore she could fix her grey and lifeless on the floor as Agatha sat up on the kitchen table and just stared and stared, tears falling, always falling, until that familiar face appeared through the bedroom doorway, watching Agatha, not the woman, and threaded their fingers together. Guided her to cracked, dusty skin and forced her to feel it, hand pressing hers into dead flesh and murmuring ‘exceptional’ under her breath before explaining every single step of reaping a soul. Talking and talking until Agatha wasn’t crying anymore, until she couldn’t remember why she had been upset in the first place”
I need “Agatha can’t control her powers but she also couldn’t control her temper, and suddenly half of a coven was dead before her, barely eighteen years old, and then the girl, also freshly a woman, the closest thing she knew to having a friend, sliding up behind her and placing a hand on her shoulder, wiping her tears away. Shushing her pleas of ‘why can’t I control it? Why do I ruin everything I touch?’ with soft murmurs of ‘there’s nothing wrong with you. You didn’t kill them. They simply… bent to your power.’”
I need “Agatha can’t control her powers but she sure as hell tried, until she was tied to a stake and her coven fell at her feet and her mother crumpled before her, hellbent until the moment she died to punish Agatha for things she had never meant to do. Agatha, with her grief and her relief and her freedom, finally, somehow still sobbing over her mother’s death, curled up far away and safe in the woods. Safe until Death came for her, hands cupping her face too tenderly, too delicately, and forced Agatha to meet her eyes. Death, who had somehow become the only one to ever show her mercy and kindness and compassion, leaning her forehead against hers and whispering ‘it’s okay. I am so proud of you.” Death leaning in so, so hesitantly and pressing the smallest kiss to her mouth. Breaths hitching. Eyes meeting. Long, loaded stares and trembling fingers and Death herself smiling at Agatha like she actually meant it. Agatha fisting her cloak and yanking her closer and letting Death suck the air right out of her lungs, and Agatha somehow living anyway”
That’s what I need.

"This Whole Situation"
Rise Ramblings #1
So as you guys know, one occurring phrase in the show between the boys and April is “This whole situation.” Although vague, and used in many other contexts, sometimes the family uses the phrase to refer to their mutations.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, once finishing the series it’s hard to miss that Donnie never says the phrase. Now, I could be wrong (and If I am, just comment and let me know!) but I have a theory as to why Donnie doesn’t say it… Donnie never says “this whole situation” because in his mind, there IS no situation.
The Evidence:
I started noticing something interesting about Donnie’s state of mind about himself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He never really expresses that he’s different from other people, he’s just…him. Obviously, he knows that he’s a mutant, but it’s not something at the front of his mind. I associate it to if someone has a certain attribute, that person is just that, a person first. I believe it’s the same for Donnie. He’s a person, that just so happens to be a mutant turtle, and I live for it.
What made me solidify my theory was the use of disguises in Rise, specifically the use of disguises in April’s school.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
All of the boys have visited April’s school, and all of them decided to wear disguises, except Donnie.
Tumblr media
He just shows up in his regular clothing. One could argue that the hoodie is his disguise, but then why did the rest of the boys wear actual (silly) disguises while our boy Donnie is just like, “Hoodie? Check.” And not only that, but for the whole episode, all eyes are on him, and he just. Doesn’t. Care. It’s glorious!
Tumblr media
Later, in the episode Donnie vs. Witch Town, we see that Donnie showing up all willy-nilly pell-mell at April’s school was not a one-time thing. It’s literally been happening for years!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Therefore, I believe that canonically Donnie doesn’t care about “this whole situation.” And if someone does, as far as he’s concerned that’s their problem, not his.

hey can we talk about how fucking insane it is that the whole 'evil future self' debacle got pinned on danny cheating on a test
can we talk about how danny came away from that genuinely believing that it was cheating on a test that had made him evil, as if it were any more than just. the reason they were all at the nasty burger that day
can we talk about how sam and tucker also seemed to think that and how we, the viewers, also were apparently supposed to believe it
because uhhhh
the whole idea is. ridiculous. and someone needs to gently tell danny so pleaseandthankyou

During the events of Tears of the Kingdom, Link is so tired, sleep deprived, gloom poisoned, unhinged and filthy...He is devoid of what makes Link himself: his warmth, his humor...
And that's why no one in Hyrule but his close friends recognizes him💔
-----------------
Note: I know it's Linktober but life got in the way and gave up at "mirror prompt". I'm busy and whatever free time i got goes on Echoes of Wisdom (which i ADORE btw) So please accept this random doodle from my folder 😘
ALSO: I was overwhelmed with the positive reaction to my FF8 inspired Zelda and Hero's shade reunion. Seems like the Internet loves bittersweet angst as much as i do. And YES, there's a sequel in progress ;) I was already drawing it when i posted my first batch of panels.
Cheers!

I couldn't really think of any fun shenanigans for this incident, but! I did think of a sad silly. Or at least Greygold is trying to make their situation seem silly. Neither of them are conflicted at all~
Anyway, everything is ✨fine✨ as long as nobody talks about the hollyphant in the room and they both entirely focus their short reunion together with returning Greygold back home.
Bonus cheesy goodbye:

Star Trek: Voyager Gravity // Juggernaut
Emotions can be a powerful tool. To deny their existence is illogical. But you must learn to control them. // The flame, like emotion, is a primitive force. Left unchecked, it's chaotic, destructive. But if controlled it can be a powerful tool.
