my tumblr isn't even a blog, it's just a hideous amalgamation of all my hyperfixations from the last decade.

THIRTY-ONE DAYS OF GHOST ⛧ DAY ONE
first song you heard — Mary On A Cross
September 1969; Papa Nihil and the beginning of the Ghost Project take to the stage at the Whiskey a Go Go club in Los Angeles, under the watchful eye of Sister Imperator. Fifty-three years later, in Tampa, Florida, Papa Emeritus the Fourth performs Mary On A Cross, unaware that he is singing the story of his parents—and that of himself.

Okay yeah but the difference is Eurylochus didn't SACRIFICE those men, they were already pigs and there wasn't anything to do. And sure, like Odysseus, he could've fought and talked to Circe and hope for a better out come, but he didn't know if Circe was killable or negotiable or if he'd get played and swayed by her magic and die alongside his best friend and captain when they could've avoided that fate by running away, and not losing anyone else to Circe. He didn't know Hermes, there was no safety net, he didn't want to lose the little they did have for the hope and theory that this witch that just turned everyone he's ever known, loved, and trusted into pigs for no apparent reason (to Eurylochus) would be kind.
Odysseus knew that he'd have to sacrifice six men, and did without trying another plan like he usually does.
Eurylochus stumbled upon a strange yet kind women who he didn't know, who then turned to backstab all of them with no way of seemingly changing her mind or changing them back.
Odysseus knew what was about to happen and didn't even try to save them, before deciding to sacrifice six of their men.
With all the information given to him, Eurylochus rightfully thought they were dead with no ways of getting them back, and didn't want to risk losing anymore people.
