Y'all psychopaths out there should learn to understand what is real and what is not on the internet, not just talk because someone on Twitter made you see things the way they want. First of all I didn't defend Paul, he defends himself if he wants for what I care and I made it clear that his comment was wrong. What I did was point out that the "progenocide story" yall were talking about was actually an IG story (november2023) where Paul and Roman literally went from the Ryhad desert to the beaches of Florida. There is no concordance, just assonance between this and “from the river to the sea Palestine will be free”.

WWE had presented Roman's journey to Crown Jewel as a match in the "desert" and they were going back to Florida, for a meeting where their hotel was literally on a "beach". He was quoting the company and publicizing the treatment he receives as he does for every single trip with the Bloodline.

I'm not the devil's advocate, I don't want recognition or someone who annoys me, I know what I said and im not standing by his side for yesterday tweet, I'm just tired of seeing stupid people talking about anything to build a controversy behind a keyboard, in their homes, when they could spend that energy in a different way and for a good purpose.

“wait — what am i supposed to be doin’?”

you wipe your hands down the front of your apron, turning to face a very disheveled jj. he’s holding a huge mixing bowl of cupcake batter and a spatula, his face etched in confusion and covered in flour.

you deflate into a giggle, placing the final cupcake wrapper in your hand into the baking tray before rushing over to him. you life your hand to wipe the powder off his cheek. when you mentioned to jj that you were spending the day baking, he insisted on helping you out somehow. “i just need you to help me pour the batter into the tray on the stove. then we can take a break, promise.”

if baking was a love language, it would be yours. the last time you’d gone with the pogues on a treasure hunt, they kept complaining that the twinkie’s snack supply had finally run dry. you took that personally, deciding right then and there that you’d bake the gang cupcakes for your next adventure. when you mentioned your idea to jj, and he jumped at the opportunity to help you out despite having zero baking experience.

“sounds easy enough.” he shrugs, following you to the stove and sneaking a lick of batter off the spatula.

“aht!” you scold him, pulling a hand towel from your apron pocket to smack his arm. “that’s really unsanitary.”

“yeah, well they’re mostly for me anyway. ‘n i’m helping, so.” he shrugs playfully, leaning over you as he takes another big lick in your face.

you snatch the spatula from him, scowling to keep yourself from smiling. “seriously, jayj.”

“alright, alright. locking in.” he recedes, eyeing you as he holds the heavy bowl up over the cupcake pan. you guide his hands to each empty space, using the spatula in your hand to push the batter out into each mold until the bowl is mostly empty. the contents fill the tray almost perfectly, only a little batter remaining in the mixing bowl.

“perfect! thank you, jayj.” you beam, shaking the pan gently to smooth out the batter before lifting it, opening the preheated oven and sliding it in. you push the oven closed, dusting off your hands in completion. “they’ve gotta bake for 20 minutes or so.”

“oh, then we got plenty of time.” he raises his eyebrows at you with a smile, moving closer and slipping his arm around your middle.

you grin, playing coy and just shrugging your shoulders. “for what, exactly?”

“you know what.” he laughs, putting his hand under your jaw to lead your rosy lips to his. you smile into the kiss, the perfect ending to a perfect day.

you separate and your eyes stay closed, trying to stay in the moment until you feel the spatula covered in gooey cupcake batter painting over your nose.

you gasp, “jj maybank!” as he escapes any further scolding, running out of the kitchen laughing with the spatula in hand.

i was referencing sera_phiel's art while i drew this so there may be some similarities in style.. i love their art so much guys go follow him

needed some way to tie damon to the other sillies i draw a lot on this blog (ouma and saihara) so i was gonna add kai as kokichi for funsies, but i ran out of time so maybe later this week ill post that too!

Beutelgeuse: ok so I have a haunting at 10am in Ohio, lunch at 12, got 4 hauntings scheduled in NY from 2pm-6pm, gonna lead a spook workshop in Cali at 7pm followed by a bar crawl, sleep that off till 3am, and then follow up with all the clients from this week who are worried bc they heard talk of tv show people showing up. If it's HER show, I'll need to clear up my schedule for when she shows up. If I make the walls bleed and draw little hearts in the blood, is that coming on too strong?

He is unbothered and delusional sure his charms will get him the girl. Love it 😆

In all seriousness, his attempts at making contact with Lydia and courting her, scaring her instead, is one of my favorite things in the sequel. Lydia terrified, meanwhile Betelgeuse out there swooning and sighing over getting to see her again 😂💚. He is definitely coming on too strong, but he so can't see it and it's hilarious.

I'm sure he did help her with the hauntings for her show, too. I hope that one comes up in movie three. No one can take that headcanon away from me. 😌

Hey so uh I wanted to ask about that candy bar you gave me at the Halloween party last night, I ate it before bed (it tasted really good) but when I woke up I started to notice some things. My voice sounds kinda softer and higher pitched than before, my body feels tingly and kinda soft, my hair looks a lot longer and fuller than I remember it being, and every time I look in the mirror I think I look thinner than before...my clothes feel uncomfortable...people have been saying I look and sound cute and every time they compliment me I start blushing...n-not that I'm in any pain, don't worry, it's just...uh...w-where did you get that candy bar from again?

What do you mean by Shen Jiu being female-coded? /genq

Hello! To preface, in a lot of fandom spheres calling any cis gendered character "[gender]-coded" tends to be negative, usually to highlight poor writing or usage of harmful stereotypes, i.e., male-coded women being arrogant and demeaning to other women or female-coded men being sensitive and the butt of jokes among other men. However, there are instances where it is done and, rather than promote negative gender stereotypes it rather... Emphasises a masculine and feminine natures that resonate with people.

I am not always good with words, but there is [gender]-coded that is basically thinly veiled sexism and there is [gender]-coded that is simply nature. Think along the terms of pre Christian colonialism, where many cultures and religions have masculine energy and feminine energy defined outside of biological gender.

I see SJ as female coded because of how the fandom reacts/reacted to him. We don't got a lot of info on him, canon wise, at least not without heavy (and unreliable) bias. But there is a stark difference to how fandom treats him compared to the other men in the story.

And I don't mean in the sense of "he deserved what he got/he deserved so much better" discourse that surrounds him, but how fandom understands him.

Depending on where you fall, the degree of SJ's childhood trauma could range from demeaning slavery with a historically usual amount of abuse and demands to underage sexual abuse and torture. Regardless, the common thread is that men have control over his autonomy. Men (and nobility) dictate what he does, how he dresses, what he will receive, and how others percieve him. This is something SJ does not escape, even when he becomes a Peak Lord, although the degree has lessened by this time. He fails not just because of his actions, but due to the words and judgement of people who only see him on surface level and, thus, scrutinise his every action as "evidence" to their preconceived judgement.

And boy does fandom run with this!

And it makes sense because, a huge portion of danmei demographics are women... Women who understand all too well the dangers a negative statement can have on their livlihood.

This is why Shen Jiu is female coded, to me. Qui Jianluo, Wu Yanzi, Yue Qingyuan, Luo Binghe, even Shen Yuan, etc etc all, in some way, have taken his autonomy. QJL and WYZ did it with their abuse and power over him, YQY did it by undermining him and placating him (while allowing the bad rumours and his bad behaviours to persist), LBH through his revenge (literally crippled him), Shen Yuan quite literally takes over his body and has no regard for its treatment for most of the story.

In fandom, I think its telling that Qi Qingqi, Mu Qingfan, and Liu Qingge also feature as a prominent antaongist that contribute to Shen Jiu's abysmal reputation. Unfortunately, the three kinds of people women should feel protected by and safe with- other women, doctors, and those who uphold justice- are some of the main contributors to the problems they face. They aren't taken seriously, they're ostracised or put down, they're ignored or labeled as over emotional.

Its also telling that, for most fanfics/discussions/art/etc where Shen Jiu is "redeemed" or given a second chance, the main reason why he suceeds is because others listen to him. They let him have a voice and respect it. He is able to advocate for himself and not be torn down or turned away. And if he is, usually there's a man that stands by his side and acts as the "ally" or "bridge" that gets people taking him seriously.

Or, him being attached to a well-respected man is enough for people to change their opinions. Fandom can't help but reflect real life in their works.

So, with all that being said... I understand that there's going to be people who think this is a "bad take" because I rely so heavily on how the fandom portrays Shen Jiu, and that's fine. There will always be Bible-thumpers in every piece of media we consume, and they're here for good reason. But I consume stories for the feelings they evoke and the influence they have on others. People make connections, that's just what we do, and this is the connection I made.
