In all seriousness, his attempts at making contact with Lydia and courting her, scaring her instead, is one of my favorite things in the sequel. Lydia terrified, meanwhile Betelgeuse out there swooning and sighing over getting to see her again 😂💚. He is definitely coming on too strong, but he so can't see it and it's hilarious.

I'm sure he did help her with the hauntings for her show, too. I hope that one comes up in movie three. No one can take that headcanon away from me. 😌

do you have any techniques when it comes to colours and backgrounds?

i went into a bit of how i color in my past asks!!

for backgrounds - i like to break it all down like this so i don't get overwhelmed: foreground element, character, then background:

i generally keep to making these foreground elements higher contrast in comparison to what's behind them to help create a sense of depth. i also advise trying to draw your backgrounds while drawing your characters, instead of adding it after drawing the character, personally i find it really hard doing it that way and making things feel consistent ;;

What do you think Kazui’s dad was like? During Kazui’s T2 QNA he said his dad was a cop and wanted him to be one and in his T1 QNA Kazui Said his family must find him embarrassing.

(Sorry this took forever to answer!!!! but) I always pictured Kazui’s relationship with his father to be that cold type of distant. 

Kazui never speaks ill about him – never painting him outright abusive or hurtful – plus it sounds like he kept his identity a secret to everyone, giving his father no reason to harass him about it. But then to mention he’s disappointed by Kazui even after getting a respectable job and wife… I think this comes together to show a relationship that was all dry professionalism. His answer about "children being distant" in his family seems to confirm there was always a divide.

Kazui’s generation was one of heightened pressure on masculinity, conformity, and repressed feelings. His father was probably not in a great state himself, but “that’s the way things are,” so he tried his best to teach that to his son. But we all know how people can pick up on what makes someone different, especially in their childhood as they’re learning to hide things better. So I think that even if Kazui never breathed a word about his secret to anyone, his parents would have guessed it. Their detachment and avoidance of anything too emotional/vulnerable would mean the family would never confront anything outright. 

Instead, his father would find roundabout ways to convey to his son that he needs to change (and be normal – acting in certain ways, making comments about others not fitting the status quo, and passing judgment on related behaviors. This, of course, destroys any chance at a close relationship, even if no insults are actually exchanged. Even when Kazui perfectly follows in his footsteps and attempts a “normal” life, there will always be those little comments and looks and expressions. His father never says he’s disappointed in the way his son was born, but both of them definitely know it. 

A little twist of the knife is that if they really are traditional, society-abiding people, I think they’d see each other fairly often. Kazui may have moved out, but it isn’t like he was disowned or cut them out of his life. On birthdays, holidays, achievements, police force events etc, he and Hinako would spend days and dinners visiting politely with them, talking about their jobs, lives, and all the little mundane things going on. They were content never discussing the glaring, life-altering issues going on under the surface, because “we’re men, you just don’t talk about things like that.”

How would you feel if Wildehopps ends up becoming canon?

It entirely depends on how the writers go about it tbh

Don’t get me wrong, Wildehopps has been a top favorite ship of mine since I was 13 and I would give anything to make it a reality in the actual movies. However, Disney hasn’t exactly had a good streak lately with their sequels, or movies in general (not including Pixar cuz I’m biased). I’m excited for the sequel, but I am still remaining skeptical until it actually releases next year.

My point with this is that, with the sequels not holding up well to their originals, it unfortunately means that the characters and their relationships with each other suffer greatly from the bad/mediocre writing. Frozen 2 I feel is a good example. It hyper-focuses solely on Elsa that all of the other characters are reduced to a single personality trait/cliche trope that they feel more like objects than actual people. And with this, Elsa and Anna’s relationship felt like such a downgrade from the original. Same with Anna and Kristoff. The proposal was adorable, don’t get me wrong. But every scene with them leading up to the proposal was just so..flat and uninteresting.

However, I’m still holding hope that Wildehopps won’t suffer that same fate and that the writers can actually succeed at continuing and developing their characters’s story together. Having both directors from the original film gives me a bit of comfort, so there’s something!

Also, I’m aware that Wildehopps becoming canon would upset a small group of people who have outwardly said they’d prefer they stay friends. And yeah, I can understand where that comes from. However, it would greatly surprise me if they didn’t become canon in this next movie—considering almost everyone who worked on the first one shipped them😭

Anyway I’ll stop yapping now. Canon or not, as long as it’s a good sequel I’ll be happy😌 (but yk, a good sequel with wildehopps becoming canon would be wonderful)

I was re-reading Warped Perspective and got curious!

Actually, it came out of something from my own personal universe (energy headcanons, special gems, etc, its a lot to explain sdbfskd) BUT. I do still like to use purple energy for him even if its outside of my personal canon. Why is that?

what is your favourite clois scene?

I honestly love all their interactions so much that I couldn't even decide on my top five, so I'll just talk about their opening scene in booster because I keep thinking about it and it really captures one of the main reasons I love them so much.

So they're both in transitional periods of their lives, with Clark trying to create a new persona for himself and Lois working towards a promotion, and they're just so... invested and supportive about it?? Lois is helping Clark with his body language and reassures him because he's feeling insecure but then he's like "forget about ME Lois you're up for that promotion!!!" and you can see on his face how proud and excited about it he is like, he's really her biggest cheerleader and I'm😭😭😭

They're best friends and they're in love and above all else they just genuinely want to see each other thrive and be happy and grow into the best versions of themselves and it makes me want to collapse on the floor in tears.

to start I would say Dixie Locke is probably the closest he came to actually marrying a woman before Priscilla came along

Probably not or at least not as soon as Elvis said they would. I can’t speak for Elvis but I believe the ring was more of his way to ensure that Ginger was his, as he did not want her to go back to her previous relationship and he was intent on having the son that he wanted, and Ginger was the woman he wanted to have the child with. Simply I think he believed a ring would make her stay and forget about the other guy she saw before him even if he never really intended on getting married

As for Linda Thompson, who was his longest lasting relationship post-Priscilla, I don’t believe he ever intended on marrying her and I think that had to do with his views on marriage souring significantly after the divorce. And towards the end of their relationship especially, when Linda was at the age where she was ready for marriage and a family, I think it had fizzled out to more of a close friendship than a romantic partnership

I think Mega Ninetails’ Pokédex entry is also gut-wrenchingly close to tails’ backstory imo.

in my silly little brain there is kaiser angst and his father is the pope (thanks mitzi) -kaiser but hes more fake and more bastard than canon the setting is divine power does not do well with magic ESPECIALLY in this nation bc it is a blessed land (real not clickbait) -the royal familys defining trait?? is golden hair that never fades and every 20 years someone with this golden blood will be blessed with stigmata -stigmata in this case means the deity of this land has chosen u to be the next ruler -so breaking news!! kaiser does not have stigmata he only has social stigma bc his mother was a naive witch that fell in love with the king -he still has the golden hair but its also "tainted" with blue from the bloodline of a witch so the hair colours are all natural babie🤩🤩🤩 -anyways his mom thought they would be fine if they just lived quietly in a corner of the palace but nope she dies lol -cue evil queen who does not like the concubine so she plots an assassination -michael kaiser, age 6, motherless -idk how to go deeper into explaining his backstory but i do have an image in my head that i feel like would be better if i drew it out instead -but ofc kaisers world view is now flipped -living quietly and hoping for peace doesnt work so he will live as if he were dead while plotting his grand murder spree -and also two years before the family die kill murder -one of his half siblings received a stigmata -but kaiser kills him anyways bc how would u keep ur faith when all ur life u have been mistreated by those who call themselves children of god -and then the stigmata appears on him and hes just 😟😟 -after claiming the throne he kicks out a bunch of ppl and starts establishing diplomatic connections with the magic tower (cue ness) -bc it is very obvious that its a good thing. to establish connections. but holy kingdom vatican city here doesnt do that bc they are held back by traditions and bias -so after that hes just known as a blasphemous child sitting on the throne -but theres a party of intellectuals and new nobles who support him so like kaisers not dead YET -stuff is messy, his bad rep spreads and rumours get twisted so now hes not only known as Tyrant Who Scammed God (partly real) -hes also somehow a Sadistic Villain That Hypnotizes You With Magic (also partly real)
