MHA IS / NOT / ENDING IN 2024

Ok so, MHA is definitely having at least more 50 chapters at the very minimum.

MHA is weekly, and 2024 will have only 52 weeks, so that plus breaks, if it has 50 chapters, knowing Hori takes at least a break a month, it'd need around 65 or 70 weeks to be completed.

So it can't end in 2024, maybe MHA will end around February or March 2025... Perhaps even June!

But why I think so?

The final war arc started on chapter 343, so the current arc has 66 chapters.

This final arc is the longest arc in the series, as Hori's arcs got progressively longer each new arc, the longest arcs being 24, 41 and 54, from the first big arc, it basically doubled in size, it can double again.

But i think of the traitor arc as part of the final war, starting with the Sns chapter, which is chapter 329

So to me the final arc has 80 chapters so far to put it simple.

Also Hori wouldn't just cut the end dry, I can easily see a last, short, epilogue arc showing what happened after and all the changes in society and everything.

MHA won't end in more 15 chapters, we still haven't seen: Aizawa/Mic/Kurogiri, Sero's role, the tie up to Toga and Ochako, Hawks being the light of hope, Spinner's demise, seeing what talk Compress had with the heroes, Hisashi finally appearing(hori did promise it!), Hori did mention Class 2-A briefly showing up, tie the quirk singularity theory plot, AFO finally inserting his quirk factor on Tomura, AND finally, Tomura vs Izuku.

Tomura vs Izuku is probably not being quick, giving they are the main characters, and the grand finale, the greatest mess and also what needs more focus, In these 60+ chapters of this arc so far, izuku barely showed up, you can't have a 80 chapters only arc and your MAIN CHARACTER show up just 5 or so!!!

Considering Hori made almost 50 chapters of ONLY people fighting AFO and other stuff, I'm confident we will have at MINIMUM some 15 chapters of ONLY Shigaraki vs Izuku, he is saving these two for last, so I'm confident it won't be that fast AT ALL!

Honestly, I won't be surprised if MHA have more 70 chapters left, I can easily see this arc being over 150 chapters, like, come on, Hori didn't take his sweet sweet time only to half ass rush the most important part! Hori won't rush now that he toke so much care to build up the climax

Honestly i personally think MHA might even reach 460/480 chapters total, I wont be surprised if we reach 500 chapters either! (Each volume have 12 chapters, so MHA ending with a total of 47 or 48 volumes. )

Like- there is way TOO MUCH to be seen! The final arc is only on the half way but already been 80 chapters so far! And we haven't even got to the main fight!!!

Anyways, mark my words

MHA is ending in middle 2025.

Update/Edit: Just realized MHA will have only 33 chapters released this year and only 2 volumes

I don’t care for romance I care about Kurogiri preventing the League from being constantly murdered by the heroes. As well as him genuinely caring about Tomura well being to the point of looking Mic in the eye with Shirakumo face showing.

I was over here betting and praying because yea he told them once the plan. But I think it because knew that people might get seriously hurt. It been years since seen Mic and Aizawa tho while he has years with Tomura.

He genuinely invested and yes AFO groomed Tomura and Kurogiri didn’t do anything but remember he is STILL a Nomu. Garaki would make sure he always obey so he can’t disobey him even if wanted too. But he shown many times his care for Tomura despite this.

He is quick to shield Tomura, he gives advice and makes it constantly clear he wants him to succeed. He doesn’t NEED to do that since he just to protect him but that Shirakumo in him unable to leave the poor cat out in the rain. He ain’t abandoning Tomura who he seen as a small boy who lost everything, to flounder alone.

And seeing him declare that with conviction filled me with so much joy. Not just because it finally a true win for the villains but also the potential this can give. As the villains are a family and the words AFO said, “Anyone can be a hero to someone.”

Meaning Kurogiri can be a hero to Spinner and Tomura. Because clearly the heroes won’t.

Yall remember those 2 misty figures in season 5 when Deku first sees the vestiges right before he sees how One for All happened or whatever. Ya!! Well I think I know who 1 of them is!!

All for One, his quirk is to take and give quirks, Deku says that he sees everyone who has wielded One for All besides the original user, which means that the person who developed the quirk isn't part of the vestiges. Along with All for One saying he found a quirk. Key word FOUND!

All for Ones brother I don't believe is one of the fogged ones, as we see him with the others and the 2 misty figures. So I believe that one of them is

All for One

As he has wielded it, before passing it on but he isn't the original user, so he can be a possibility.

I also slightly believe that Bakugo could be one as Deku has passed his quirk to him before but it didn't fully transfer so he could as be a fogged one as he wasn't a wielder and in the manga vol 36, towards the end Bakugo sees one of the vestiges. Along with going off a theory(?) that Bakugo is related to one of the wielders, I believe it was the third I forget but if he is, we can also put that into perspective.

Anyways the Bakugo one was a mini theory, I do think that All for One is a strong possibility to be one of the misty figures.

Aurore is a third year student at RSA, currently house warden of the sleeping beauty inspired dorm.

Aurore is also the next king of the Kingdom of Heroes, which naturally made him the center of attention in RSA.

Unlike Malleus whose powerful aura pushes people away from him, Aurore draws people towards him as they feel a sense of security around him.

He was only recently enrolled into school during his second year as his family brought him back from isolation for training, far away from the world’s eyes.

At first glance, Aurore may seem like the ideal dream prince: Kind, Polite, Courageous, Strong and Smart as he is consistent in securing top grades across his cohort. But deep down, he isn’t exactly the perfect prince most of his peers think he is.

Aurore is actually afraid of strangers and overwhelming attention ( he was raised in isolation so meeting humans are.. yeah) He is skilled at hiding his weakness but starts blanking out if there are too many people crowding around him.

As a result, he finds happiness in spending time alone in places where no one recognises him. He usually takes a short stroll around Sage Island’s various forests when his caretakers aren’t looking.

Strangely, Aurore mentions that his enjoyment from lonely strolls only existed because he would suddenly find himself in unknown places as a child…as if something or someone was calling him. But he became mentally stronger as he got older and knows how to guard himself during his impromptu walks.

Bonus personal theory/lore:

Hi! So if you have been following me since i started creating twst ocs, you would be familiar with a certain comic i drew for an Aurora Oc ( its not exactly Aurore because i didn’t flesh him out) . But to sum up my theory for that comic:

There was once a powerful kingdom that clashed with briar valley, humans and fae did not get along as well back then.

Somewhere in between the war, both of the queen’s sons were cursed by a powerful magician and separated at birth. The queen initially wanted to send her two sons far away from the castle, but only managed to send one tucked away in a casket that drifted on a hidden river which led to a forest.

The war ended a few days later, with both fae and humans forming a truce. The queen fell into depression after realising that her second son probably did not make it and blamed herself for not keeping him a little longer had she known he would have been safe and alive in her arms.

Time heals wounds, and with some reassurance from the King the Queen got back up on her feet stronger for the sake of her people. Of course, sometimes the servants would catch a glimpse of the lonely Queen staring into the far forests wondering if she will ever see those small pair of Aurora coloured eyes again.

Because the Queen conceived her two sons alone away from the servants, only she and the King were aware of their other missing son. The three fairy advisors who had protected them from the very start told the Queen that if word of two cursed princes were to spread, the kingdom would be doomed to fall . The Queen had no choice but to accept this decision, and so they entrusted their only son to the three fairies in case the curse within him acts up. Hence Aurore was raised in isolation away from the world’s attention and only enrolled in his second year to prevent the curse from possibly manifesting.

In this story I created Silver is the missing prince in question who drifted far into the forest and eventually picked up by Lilia. His only proof of his royal status is a ring with an aurora coloured gem (Book 7 mention).

Regarding the curse: Silver was cursed to feel drowsy all the time while Aurore was cursed to follow a voice in his head which leads him to sleepwalk into dangerous places alone. Silver’s hair colour reminds me of the spindle/needle, so in a way he contains the sleeping curse. Like Aurora, Aurore is drawn into strange places by a voice and eventually to the spindle. Hence these two will always feel an unfamiliar sense of closeness to each other.

“Yao why do you think Silver would have a brother? Much less the RSA guy inspired by Aurora? Doesn’t Silver already have Aurora’s traits?”

In general this is just my own fun theory to think about, but my reasons are because i think it would be interesting if Silver canonically had living family member(s) from a royal family( that ring kinda tells all). It would also put him in place wondering if he should return to his biological human family or stay with his Briar Valley family as he feels a stronger bond with them. With the way TWST tackles issues about fae/human like Sebek from example, i would love to see Silver’s resolve for his found family.

In my old comic, the Aurora OC actually dislikes Fae because of the war. He especially hates Lilia because he believed the war criminal took his own brother away and is promoting peace despite his past.

I feel Aurore would dislike Lilia but eventually learns to see the war from both sides as humans aren’t all that great either, he is still a naive prince with much to learn about the world. So while Silver does have Aurora’s trait, Aurore may have some of King Stefan’s from Maleficent/OG film. TWST tends to combine diff character traits anyways🌝👍

One bed trope but angsty????

“That’s quite a mess,” the villain noticed. They stared at the once clean sink. Now, there was blood everywhere, along with bandages and a bottle of vodka. Ultimately, their eyes wandered back to the hero who had taken the liberty to claim the bed. They looked exhausted and deep down, the villain was a little angry at the both of them for not acting sooner.

For being so reckless.

“Didn’t have the energy to clean up,” the hero admitted. They’d been crying and the villain was fully aware of how awful their…partner must’ve felt.

“Is the bullet still in your shoulder?” the villain asked. Back then, the hero’s wellbeing had been all the villain could think about. It had been a sharpshooter. And the villain hadn’t acted soon enough.

The hero had been in shock, hadn’t felt anything and the villain wasn’t really too keen on instructing them to get back to the hotel on their own.

“No, it’s in the sink.” Their voice was flat, emotionless even. “Don’t worry, I’ll take the floor in a minute, I just need to…”

“No, stay there.” They closed the bathroom door and sat down on the bed. “Any pain?”

“Took a bunch of painkillers. It’ll be fine.”

The villain had never had great conversational skills and whenever they tried to be encouraging, their words got stuck in their throat. Often, they felt like it would be best to say nothing at all.

“Why would that sharpshooter miss my head?” the hero asked. About an hour ago, the hero had been shot. They had managed to get back to the hotel without getting spotted which (in itself) was already a miracle. And the villain had followed them once the gunshots had stopped.

They had a theory. The hero seemed to know the answer already.

“I don’t know,” the villain said. Most of the time, the villain couldn’t tell what the hero was feeling. They supposed that years of training, hell, a decade even, had shaped them into something flawless that refused to show imperfections. Especially emotions. “Let’s not worry about that. We should get you to a medic. Maybe you know someone who might help us?”

The hero shook their head.

“The only ones who come to mind are at the academy.”

And that was a sensitive topic. After all, those people had tried to take out the hero in the first place. The sheer thought of those people made the villain’s blood boil but they knew two angry people wouldn’t get anywhere.

Suddenly, the hero was close to tears and the villain saw how their bottom lip shook. They hid their face in a pillow but the villain wasn’t going to watch them suffer like that.

“We’ll find a solution to this, I promise. We will get you to a doctor first. I may know a few people. And then we will prove your innocence, okay?” the villain asked. They tilted their head and pushed a loose strand out of the hero’s eyes. “You will get your old life back, I promise. Everything will be fine.”

“But they don’t even want me there,” the hero whispered. “The academy accused me. They had fake proof and convinced everyone: other heroes, citizens, even my friends, I—”

“Hey, it’ll be fine. And even if they don’t want you back, then we’ll just bomb the entire place.” The villain really didn’t know what to do, so they went through the hero’s hair with their fingers. They remembered it from their childhood; it was something distant, something soothing that had always calmed them down. “Deep breaths, okay?”

The hero obeyed and slowly, their face softened.

“You’re insane,” they said with only the tiniest hint of a smile on their face. They made a little bit of room for the villain and admittedly, considering the villain’s own tiredness, they couldn’t refuse. They slipped under the blanket before the hero could change their mind.

“In a good way.”

“Not necessarily.”

Silence. The villain could just stare at the hero, a little broken and definitely at the end of their rope.

“You know, real friends wouldn’t believe those lies. And true friends wouldn’t shoot at you,” the villain said. “Even if they missed your head on purpose.”

“…I know,” the hero said. “Maybe that’s why I came to you.”

The villain thought about that sentence until they fell asleep.

A little earlier in the F2 season, we caught up with Williams Racing Academy Driver Logan Sargeant.

Wanting to get to know him just a little bit better, and with a big date in Austin now on the horizon, we tasked him with answering 22 questions about racing and life in general.

Here’s what he had to say…

What race day rituals do you have?

If weekends are going well, I tend to stick with the same underwear for each day. Before you worry, they’re different pairs! I have a Friday, Saturday, Sunday set. But if it’s not going well, I have to make a change!

What's your go-to coffee order?

Latte, but it's a double espresso before quali.

What's the inspiration behind your racing number?

This year it’s six because I can’t choose in F2, but when I am allowed to pick, it would be No3. Three for Dale Earnhardt, an all-out American hero.

Your favourite drink?

I’ve only just turned 21… but it’s water, of course.

If you had to cook one main course to impress a loved one, what would it be?

Oooo… I’m not much of a cook, but I can tell you what I would order in! I love a good prime rib.

What’s your favourite film?

Love the Jump Streets, but I’ve got a lot of time for Step Brothers. But if I had to choose out of the two, I’d go Jump Streets. I suppose I have to choose which one?! But 21 and 22 are both pretty good. Ah, I can’t decide.

Who is the toughest rival you've come up against so far?

It’s got to be the battle in Formula 3 between myself and Oscar Piastri.

Your favourite cheat meal?

Fortunately I have a quick metabolism, so they come relatively often… my American roots mean it would have to be a nice, juicy burger.

How many attempts did it take to pass your driving test?

Just one, which is apparently pretty rare for racing drivers! That’s including the practical and the theory.

Which track are you most looking forward to in 2022?

It’s got to be Monaco, but I’m looking forward to seeing the F1 team in Miami.

You can choose one song only to listen to before a race, what is it?

Lose Yourself - Eminem.

Is there one circuit not on your calendar that you'd love to race at?

Obviously it’s either Miami or Austin; to have a home race would be amazing. That said, I’d love to race at Suzuka some day.

Who is your favourite sports team outside of F1?

Anything Miami! We’re talking Heat, Dolphins, Marlins, Inter Miami… they’ve all got my support.

Least favourite exercise your trainer set for you in the offseason?

I’d say it’s got to be all the extra cardio I had to do to get ready for F2.

What's a better feeling, nailing a quali lap or executing a late overtake?

I saw what Nicky and Alex said to this answer and I have to agree. Nailing a quali lap all day long. It’s my favourite part of a weekend, I love putting it all on the line.

Is there anyone you idolised when growing up?

In racing, my first hero when I was a kid was, funnily enough, Jeff Gordon. I just loved watching him and the way he fought on track.

Favourite sport that's not F1?

At the moment, I’d have to say NFL. But it switches between that and the NBA.

If you could invite anyone in the world to a dinner party, which three people would you choose and why?

I would invite Leo DiCaprio, I feel he’s kind of cool. Then let’s also invite Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt. Let’s make it an A-List movie night!

What is your favourite Grand Prix?

Well, I could be biased and say Austin. I mean, how can you argue against 450,000 fans across the three days last year? That was pretty awesome. But I’ve got to say I love Silverstone as well.

What's been your favourite moment of your career so far?

My rookie race in Macau where I finished third. Definitely, 100%, hands down my favourite track in the world.

One word to describe how you're feeling about the 2022 season?

Confident.

One word that best describes Williams Racing to you?

Supportive.

How do you think the umbrellas felt about fan letters/fans having crushes on them and stalking them? Individually.

Your question instantly reminded me of this silly little PowerPoint project I did to add to one of my first Five Centric fanfics. As you can see, it's a fan letter directed at Five, and it's rather suggestive. In that story, Five did not jump to the future apocalypse at the age of 13, that didn't happen until he and his siblings were 16, so that left time for me to dabble with him and the rest of them getting to experience some of the coming-of-age fun and drama teens often get to face.

I am not trying to plug my stuff here but it's totally about what you are asking and if you are interested in reading a story style answer to your question, as it mostly focuses on Five but also does mention the rest of the family too, you can click this direct link to it on AO3 or find it on my Tumblr Master list. It's aptly called, 'The Anti Hero's Pitfall of Arrogance,' and like many of my other TUA stories, it's rated Teen and up because you can easily skip the explicit stuff and get warnings for the more triggering parts if you aren't down with that, then read the end notes in those sections and still get the point of what happened and still enjoy the story.

When I think of your question as it relates to all the Hargreeves in the show's version of things and how it really went down, I would have to say that from what we saw of their younger years, we didn't get much information on how they felt about fans and their crushes on them, or them potentially getting stalked. But even though the show didn't really go there in any depth, I think we can say that Allison was supposedly a favorite of the press and perhaps the fans too, as was probably Luther with his Number One, standing tall and ripped, pretty boy perfect blonde Ken doll thing he had going. I bet they both loved the attention, but Luther probably was not bold enough to do much about it besides gloat about it to the others and then feel sheepish for doing it in front of Allison because of their own little forbidden crush thing the show had going on for them.

I would imagine bloodied and broken down Ben shied away from all of the public attention, and maybe he wasn't even targeted by it like the others were by adoring fans, and that would be because of 'The Horror' thing he was dealing with, and his own feeling about it were complicated, and the fact that people might have been scared shitless of the poor kid might not have helped, which only probably added to how Ben wanted nothing to do with the thing inside him. All that maybe even effected Ben's inability to own the monster within, and that could even play into stuff that might come out in our final season. I could totally see 'The Jennifer Incident,' being something awful that went down in the public eye or maybe behind closed doors. It could have been something to do with a fan-not a love interest, but a fan, or even a fan that became his friend. Lately, I have been going with other theories on the Jennifer thing, but that is still a big one for me and I wrote a version of that idea happening with our dear Ben in my first TUA series, Paramore (The Umbrella Academy).

When it comes to Ben and looking at him as the Sparrow Ben, I think it proves my point about him and Five, a point that I make a little lower down. When alive and given a chance and not feeling so shitty about himself and the Horror inside him, Sparrow adult Ben was all about the fans hanging out with him in the club. He was an attention whore for lack of a better phrase and a snob, and it was hilarious. He was going for it like any public figure who is adored does with the fanatics that love him. That is sort of interesting to note being original Ben's fate was so different, but it could have been him doing that too if his childhood had gone the other way.

Diego the ever amazing Batman wanna be, B rated superhero of the family, probably would have eaten up the attention of the fans, both the guys and the girls. Back then when they were kids, he for sure wanted to be the hero basking in the limelight, just like Luther. I bet those two would have been fighting over fan letters, claiming they had more than the other. In the story I wrote and mentioned above, that is exactly what happened with those two and Five got pulled into the mix despite his insistence that he didn't give a shit about what other people thought of him. Egos are egos and boys will be boys and The Umbrella Academy had plenty of them behind its walls, not to mention all the teenage hormones. OH, the DRAMA...😜

When it comes to Five, I think if he had been around to get this kind of attention from fans, being a little older than 13 like he was in my story, or even before that if they got fawned over like that while they were so young, he would have pretended that he didn't care about it, but really he totally would have, maybe even more than the rest of them.

Outwardly, I think of the 13-year-old Five as not at all being interested in crushes and things like that. He'd deem fan letters and the idea of giving his time to them as way beneath him and the more important things he was doing-like crunching numbers and figures, trying to figure out how to time travel with his father explicitly told him to leave it alone. That said, Five is so smart, maybe smarter than all of them, and sometimes it seems to get in his way of seeing the light before it's too late. Reginald was right on that, as Five admitted.

When it comes to understanding people, I am thinking when Five was young, and even now when he is way older mentally, he is not the best with social graces or knowing his way around situations with other people involved. He's also a bit naive when it comes to love, and relationships based on true intimacy because the only one we can say he really had was with Dolores and she is pretty much just another extension of him, so it's limited in what he can learn from that.

When it comes to real people, Five usually seems all sorts of not sure what to do and usual blocks them out. That happened in my story when he was 16, and him thinking like many 16-year-olds would when thrown that lipstick kissed letter, he started to think things about girls that he really hadn't been focused on until that point. Naturally the feelings were in him, but he'd ignored them, and when the switch was flipped on, and he 'turned on' things turned into a very naughty situation fast, and yeah...teen Five doesn't handle it so well.

Five's arrogance hits extreme levels in the show and my story and that masked dark haired smirking boy bundled in his winter coat on those steps in the photo shown below ends up making a big mistake and pays hard for it, but we also get to see all the vulnerability in him as he flounders, and that's really what that whole story I did and the shows depiction of him is about. Five so many things. They all are but, in the end, they are human, and we all crave attention, and we all fuck up, especially when we are young.

Five is a bit of a mess then and now, just like all of them, but in my head, he's the worst off with that, with Benny boy coming in a close second. Neither of them got to grow up like a normal person would. Neither got to go through all the first kisses, and blunders, and epic wins a teen or younger person normally would.

I think all the Hargreeves kids were mega vulnerable in a way that most normal kids their age wouldn't' have been. That and being filled with unimaginable power and put in front of the world the way they were, they'd all be desperate for all the attention the fans were willing to give them. They'd seek it just like the approval they all are constantly trying to get from Reginald. Some of them would take it further like Five did in my story, going for cheap thrills and anything they could get with some of the more persistent fans. The older they got, I am sure Reginald's hold on them slipped more and more and sneaking out and getting involved with the world would have been inevitable at some point for all of them. But, that said, in the show, what they showed us made it seem that once the Umbrella Academy disbanded, the world sort of just let them go too.

That may not have been that case, I am just saying it's not like they said that Diego was a big player after he left, cashing in on chick's interest in him from his days at the academy. It never gave the impression that their fame helped any of them in any way, other than Allison, and for her, she Rumored her way into Hollywood, or so it's implied-not sure if she did or not or if people just accused her of it.

Poor Viktor, like in everything, wouldn't have been a part of the fan frenzy. He wasn't allowed to be. Like in all things, he probably felt left out and that left a lasting impression on him. It was just another thing that would have hurt like hell but also makes him so different than them in how he thinks and acts now. For a dude that nearly ended the world, twice, he's actually pretty levelheaded compared to the rest of the gang and I am not surprised that in the trailer, he seems to be doing relatively well living a normal life. Out of any of them, he'd be able to do it since he'd been led to believe he was ordinary for long.

Lastly, when it comes to Klaus, he'd have been like all of them with fans, he'd have gravitated towards the extremes of the fake love, even if it was from crazed girls and guys throwing trinkets their way when they were allowed out or leaving it on the steps of the Academy. When he got older, he'd have been all about sneaking out, going to parties, meeting people, take all sorts of mind-altering substances while letting his notoriety as one of the infamous superpowered kids of the Umbrella Academy get him anything he could his hands on. Sex, drugs, and rock and roll people, think that with Klaus. He would have wanted real true friends, maybe more than the others would have because he's so outgoing and full of wonder, but in the end the fans and their crushes would leave him empty, just like the drugs.

I think we saw that in season one, the first episode, with Klaus in the ambulance with the med-tech in back that knew him, it wasn't just because Klaus had been on his gurney several times before while overdosing. I think the world never forgot them even after they all grew up and become nobodies, but the sad thing is, their fame faded, just like their trust in each other and the idea that they were there for a higher purpose.

And thus...we real fans in the real world got the Umbrella Academy, and now we are the IRL people who are obsessing over these complex and so loveably broken characters. 😄

"I love you" from friends to lovers - Fox Mulder x Reader

A/N: I've started loving the X-Files a few days ago, and I instantly fell in love with Fox Mulder. I've always wanted to do a friends to lovers fic with him ever since! Shout out to @muldermuse as they are my inspiration to write for Fox. They have the best fics ever so check their blog out as well and do ask for fic requests from her since she does the best! I hope you love this one, friend!

Summary: using "I love you" long before it gets a romantic meaning (being shocked when they realize one day that they actually express their new feelings aloud already)

“Hey Fox, be safe out there, m’kay? Just because I’m sitting this case out does not give you permission to go batshit crazy!” 

“Yeah, yeah,” Mulder says before leaving you in his office, “Bye, love ya,” he says, waving goodbye to you as he and Scully were off to do another case while you stayed back, filing a report on the last and most recent case the three of you had done that week. 

You and Fox go way back, first meeting him at the FBI Academy when you were both learning how to become one of the best agents in the bureau. You guys were more than best friends, it was as if you were thicker than thieves. But of course, at first, it was purely platonic, so platonic, that saying “I love you” was more of a friendly and best friend-kind of manner. 

Every morning, you’d arrive at his office, bringing cups of coffee for you, Scully, and Mulder to start your day right. 

Sometimes Mulder would have sleepless nights the night before, due to either not being able to solve whatever theories he had running in his mind or simply because he just couldn’t get himself to sleep. 

So whenever you’d come in bringing coffee for helpless mornings, he’d take the cup from you with a warm smile, thanking you for being his hero. 

“God, I love you,” he would say without feeling anything romantic to it

“Couldn’t sleep last night, huh,” you figured, to which he nodded and went back to reading his book on supernatural creatures 

When Dana came into the picture, she found it weird at first when she first heard the two of you exchange your famous, AND, platonic line. 

The three of you were ending your first case together as a trio. 

Dana in the backseat, Mulder driving, and you sitting shotgun. 

It was a triumphant success, having three brains work together efficiently on a case. Mulder was driving the two of you back to the office that day, with a smile on his face. His smile only got wider when one of his favorite songs started playing on the radio. 

“Now, that’s my jam,” he confidently stated, turning up the volume. 

You weren’t really fond of the song, it wasn’t really your type or vibe at the moment, and you looked at Mulder with disgust on your face. 

“Really, Fox?” you questioned his taste 

He looked at you with slight confusion, “You don’t like this?” He then turned up the radio, creeping in a smirk when he started headbanging like a boy listening to his favorite song for the thousandth time. 

Annoyed by the boyish friend you had, your fingers started making their way to the radio. About to press a button, Mulder smacked your fingers lightly, shaking his head with disapproval, “Uh-huh, you are NOT doing that,” he calmly said. 

“I’m starting to hate this song because of you!” you protested. You aggressively pressed a button, changing the radio station to another one, which coincidentally was starting to play your favorite song. 

“Now that’s MY jam,” you teased, imitating his headbanging 

Mulder let off a light scoff, shaking his head again, “You are a child,” he stated 

You chuckled, turning up the volume, “Yeah, and we’re staying on this station from now on, okay?”

“Fine,” he gave up, rolling his eyes.

“Aw, love you,” you thanked your best friend,  continuing to headbang to the song. 

Dana silently witnessed what was to her, deemed too adorable for just friends to create with this kind of interaction. She had also witnessed the first time she saw a hint of pink coming from Mulder’s cheeks, right after he had taken a look at you headbanging like a silly girl who got her way with things, and she had also witnessed the way you looked at him and looked away, trying not to smile too big in a span of 10 seconds. 

Now back to the present time.

Right after Mulder and Scully left you in his office, Scully just had to ask the question that she had been wanting to ask ever since that car ride. 

“Have you ever considered dating her?”

“Who? Y/N?” 

“Yeah, you guys always act like an old married couple and you can’t tell me the “I love yous” are just platonic till now”

“I-I don’t know,” Mulder replied, starting to stutter, “I mean she’s my closest friend and I mean I guess we just say silly things out loud without thinking it could have meant something else, you know?” 

The two of them stayed quiet as they were on their way to leave the building. 

A few minutes later, while in the car, Mulder opened up the conversation again. 

“I do like her actually,” he confessed, “I mean, we work so well together as friends, but I don’t know, maybe I’ll end up embarrassing myself in the long run if I changed things between us. I can’t, Scully, it’d be the end for us.” 

“Mulder, you’re both oblivious to the fact that without a doubt, you both probably imagined yourselves being more than just friends,” Scully acknowledged, “I’ve had a feeling ever since!”

Mulder narrowed his eyebrows, “Ever since when?”

“Ever since our first case with the three of us. The car ride back here? I definitely saw the way you both looked at each other.” 

Mulder looked down, with a small smile on his face, remembering that moment you shared with him. It was cute and he couldn’t disagree.

The case Mulder and Scully faced that day was more than they had expected. 

It was a case where Mulder almost thought it is the end for him, for attempting batshit crazy things in order to find the truth. 

It was a case you didn’t want to see first-hand since you had hidden feelings for your best friend, and you’d probably slap him for trying something batshit crazy even if you were there to see it.

Luckily, Mulder and Scully ended up solving the case, though with some wounds and bandages from Mulder’s end. 

When you heard about the small cases of injuries on Mulder, you didn’t hesitate to drive all the way from the office to the next state just to see him. 

You were now driving slowly to face a bunch of police cars and an ambulance you knew you’d find your friend sitting by. 

“Dammit, Fox,” you arrived by the scene as you scolded him, getting the attention of Scully and Mulder

While you looked at Mulder with deep concern over his bandages and dried blood marks, he was looking at you as if you were the stars and moon standing in front of him as he was happy to reunite with you. 

“You just had to do something batshit crazy without me and look at you!”

“Yet it got us closing the case, Y/N,” he admitted, smirking at your defeat. 

“I knooow,” you rolled your eyes, “But-”

“But I did realize something along the way of almost getting killed,” he said slowly. 

This was a cue for Dana to make a few steps away from what she saw coming as his confession to you. So she subtly walked away, smirking. 

“If I did lose my head or something back there, I would’ve gone without saying that I love you.”

You looked at him silly, not knowing where this was getting to, “Um, you did right before you left your office, remember?” 

Mulder held both your hands, getting you to move closer to him. He squeezes your hands a little, smiling at you with already burning red cheeks. “Not the “I love you” type that means I do love you, more than just a friend, since you’re basically the world to me, Y/N.”

You started feeling light on your legs, feeling so foolish to not see this coming. You sat in front of him by the ambulance, still without words as you were watching your friend get only more closer to you. 

“May I?” he asked, asking permission to kiss you. 

You only agreed by kissing him first, as your lips met his, moving slowly together as the kiss was simple and long-drawn. 

When the two of you returned to looking at each other, you looked down, shyly, matching the same tone of red as his on your cheeks. 

“I love you too, Fox,” you confessed, “In that same way as well.” 

“I guess I had a hunch ever since I let only you call me by my first name,” he teased, “And did I ever tell you how good it sounds coming from you?”

In your opinion, who is the weakest ancient?

Hollyberry in terms of feats…I think?

Look, I’m not calling this in Game terms, in game terms the worst is Dark Cacao (Aka Devsis should REALLY improve Cacao as a charge cookie)

But in Lore terms, technically all the Ancients are equal in power to each other. Seeing the scene with Hollyberry and Dark Cacao fighting in ‘The Council of Heroes’ Pure Vanilla and DE’s fight during the opening cutscene and Golden Cheese’s sheer will of building a whole digital city using the souls of everyone in her city, I’d say that most of them are equal in terms of power…

So in terms of feats, Hollyberry or Pure Vanilla would be the weakest I believe.

In terms of all the characters’ origin stories,

Pure Vanilla received his Soul Jam some time during a Pilgrimage or before a Pilgrimage and lead cookies down the Sugar-Free Road/Path, and once the journey concluded, started building a kingdom using his Soul Jam alone. (I think, since that’s what Clotted Cream implied the Soul Jam could do)

However prior to Pure Vanilla even taking the Pilgrimage, he first had to graduate in Blueberry Yogurt Academy, which is implied to have been a school that was for people gifted in magic. (Like Parfaedia but has forbidden magic and shit) Pure Vanilla and White Lily Cookie were both gifted in their own ways, to the point where Pure Vanilla would purposefully get himself a lower score so that White Lily could be the top student. Overall, both Pure Vanilla and White Lily were skilled in Dark Moon Magic. Where Pure Vanilla was implied to have used Dark Moon Magic during the Final Battle with DE.

Along with learning Dark Moon Magic, he is also skilled in Light Magic/White Magic, which gives him properties like Restoration and Healing magic. In addition to that, it is likely that this magic also grants protection magic, amplifies physical skills and is useful against Black Magic. (As Pure Vanilla told Financier Cookie that he too was ‘blessed by the Light’)

The only flaw he has is that he only uses his magic to benefit other cookies and does not seek to use it for harm, only in rare occasions such as fighting Dark Enchantress Cookie, is when he steps in and uses his magic… (Makes sense since he’s basically based off JESUS-)

Next to White Lily Cookie who’s skills might even surpass Pure Vanilla Cookie. She was academically smart and could even learn Dragonsworn (How the hell do you spell this) She was always a curious soul, with us barely knowing a thing about her other than her power as Dark Enchantress Cookie.

Even then, DE is POWERFUL, being able to summon 3 monsters that would’ve turned the Creme Republic into ruins if the Ancient Heroes hadn’t arrived, note to mention she notably BEAT them the first time, forcing PV to destroy the Soul Jams in an effort to win the war. (Yes they WERE destroyed and little bits and pieces scattered across Earthbread, as confirmed by Clotted Cream and Hollyberry)

If my theory is correct, that if cookies that are directly made by Earthbread’s ‘godly beings’ (Witches and Wizards) They are much stronger than the cookies in Earthbread because the original inhabitants were just the crumbs of Earthbread. Which means that if DE was rebaked from the Witches, she must’ve had a MASSIVE power boost…so much so that it took GINGERBRAVE to stop her because as he was baked by a Witch directly, he was just as strong as DE.

Next would be Dark Cacao and WOAH BOY THIS MAN-

Dark Cacao defeated not one, but TWO dragons in his youth alone, so much so that the people described it as Dark Cacao ‘SHATTERING NIGHT AND DAY’ Which in most Asian countries that could allude to Dark Cacao being a god of some sort. (Or an over exaggerated version of lightning)

He was able to build a kingdom despite its poor conditions and funding (As Dark Cacao’s Kingdom is actually very poor, relying on Hollyberry and Pure Vanilla’s Kingdom’s to fund for supplies since even food was scarce in his Kingdom)

All the rules in his Kingdom seem to stem from survival alone, it’s hard combat styled military originally being from a state of survival.

Dark Cacao fought his son, three times and twice did he avoid death, Dark Choco sliced him off before getting banished and fell off the HIGHEST wall and fucking survived WITHOUT his Soul Jam. After that, when on to fight his son, AND the Licorice Sea like he didn’t fall off a fucking Wall moments prior, like I’d expect the guy to have AT LEAST memory loss, but no, this guy walked up to his sword and started fighting without question, my guy was even implied to have been POISONED by Affogato and he was still going on like a champ.

Other than that, Berserk Cacao is implied to have been the power of his Soul Jam, using the sheer might of his will to escape Pomegranate’s spell alone, Berserk Cacao is implied to be a defense mechanism or at least a strong defense desire to be released from the spell that gave his son SO MUCH TRAUMA.

As seen with Golden Cheese, the Soul Jam can give a cookie they’re deepest desires, if the cookie chooses to, that said since Dark Cacao DEEPLY desired to defend himself from the magic and the forces that dare seek to harm him, he turned into Berserk Cacao.

Then, we have Golden Cheese, and honestly? Even in game she’s so FRUSTRATING to fight, my girl got worshiped as a goddess to the point even her origins are god-like. She created a whole digital world with her Soul Jam alone, BY HERSELF, and hid it from everyone else.

Though she is greedy, she is still powerful, as much as the Digital Realm might have fulfilled any desire she wished, it makes me wonder if it could actually achieve such feats in the real world. I’m not finished with her chapter yet. (Mostly because 18-20 is KICKING MY ASS) It’s clear that SHE IS POWERFUL.

As for Hollyberry, her feats include fighting dragons…a lot of dragons…she was implied to have been a dragon hunter some time either before or after she became queen. Earning the alias ‘Pinkyberry Cookie’ even then ‘Pinkyberry Cookie’ was a famous dragon hunter next to Tarte Tatin Cookie. Hollyberry was also able to walk through Beast Yeast, implying that she met Tea Knight Cookie there or something (I don’t remember if she met him in Beast Yeast or outside Beast Yeast) but compared to the rest?

Hollyberry’s only known notable combat is using her shield and fighting dragons…compared to the feats others have done.

Both Pure Vanilla and Hollyberry could be the weakest in terms of feats.

But in terms of power? All of them are at least equal, since they all have the same amount of power in their Soul Jams. I think when it comes to how each individual character wields their Soul Jam, it could make them the weakest?

In the end, I’m not really sure…

"That Really Happened?!" DC Comics Tournament Entry #34

Shvaughn/Sean

What Happened?

Shvaughn Erin was a member of the Science Police, the 30th-century cops who assisted (or hindered) the Legion of Super-Heroes. During the Paul Levitz/Keith Giffen run in the 1980s, she became romantically involved with Legionnaire Jan "Element Lad" Arrah. This upset some members of the Legion fan community who had a theory that Jan was gay. The character wasn't traditionally masculine, wore pink, and had curly blond hair (look, this just how gay coding worked in the 70s and 80s).

When Giffen and married couple Tom and Mary Bierbaum (who got their start in the Legion fan community) took over the title with 1989's vol. 4 (aka, the "Five Years Later" run), one of the things that Giffen wanted to do was kill off Shvaughn to establish Element Lad as gay. They were already using Jan's archenemy, the criminal Roxxas who years ago had genocided the rest of the his species, the matter-transmuting Trommites, as the villain for the first arc. Shvaughn was eventually spared this fate, but the writers still had to square the circle of why a "gay" character would be involved with a woman. Their solution? What if "she" was a "he?"

I'm going to try to explain the rest of this story in as sensitive a way as possible. This is a story that was written in 1992 by, as far as I know, three cishet people and your millage will vary (and as a cis person myself, I can't really speak to how well this holds up). I will generally be using she/her pronouns when the character is presenting as Shvaughn and he/him when presenting as Sean.

In Legion of Super-Heroes, vol. 4 #31, the Earth is recovering from the devastation of losing the moon due to the machinations of the alien Dominators who have infiltrated and subverted the planetary government (note also, the Dominators have an extremely problematic "yellow peril" design so there's a lot going on here). In the midst of this, Jan and Shvaughn meet for the first time in a while. Jan finds out that Shvaughn is going through withdrawal from not being able to obtain the drug Profem. She explains that she had been born male under the name Sean on a very conservative planet. While growing up, Sean developed a crush on Element Lad, who as a teenager was intergalactically famous as a member of the Legion. Thinking that the only way a boy like Jan would find him attractive, Sean started taking Profem, changed her name to Shvaughn, enrolled in the Science Police academy, and eventually became the liaison to the Legion. Now, without access to the drug, Shvaughn is reverting back to her more masculine appearance.

Jan takes all of this in, before telling his former lover that "anything we ever shared physically...it was in spite of the Profem, not because of it!" Shvaughn later runs into the teenage clone of Element Lad from the Dominator's Batch SW6 (we can't get into that right now), and in future appearances shows up fully presenting as masculine and going by Sean. The adult Element Lad goes into a coma and Sean is at his bedside.

Then the Legion gets rebooted in Zero Hour, all of the Legionnaires are teens again with new continuity, and Shvaughn (when she shows up at all) is back to presenting as female with no indication that she was ever Sean. Element Lad (unless I missed anything) is only given female love interests or sexual partners by later writers, or implied to be asexual with a spiritual bend.

While Shvaughn is far from the first female love interest who gets her storyline derailed to support a gay headcanon, it is surprising that it 1. happened in canon and 2. the solution was not to kill her off, but to reveal she is trans (ish?) so the character can detransition back to a man so that his love interest can be gay. What's really weird is that Giffen and the Bierbaums also made canon a romance between Light/Lightning Lass and Shrinking Violet, but never felt a need to invalidate their previous relationships with male partners, which maybe points towards the culture of the time's perceptions of male vs. female bisexuality.

26. Forgotten hero everyone should know about

This could have been a perfect occasion to talk about Claude-Antoine Prieur again, but given that I plan to devote him many future posts on my blog, I thought it would have been more appropriate to use this ask to share my knowledge about an important and unfortunately still rather unknown STEM personality, who truly inspired me when I was a young student. I'm referring to Sophie Germain.

Born in Paris in 1776, Sophie was one of the rare mathematiciennes of the 18th-19th century. She had her first approach with mathematics during the days of the storming of the Bastille, when it was too dangerous for a young 13 years old girl to go outside. To pass the time, she turned to her father's library and a book named "Histoire des mathématiques" by Jean-Étienne Montucla captured her interest. The story of Archimedes narrated in the book fascinated her deeply, eventually leading her to start studying mathematics on her own through the works by famous mathematicians like Euler, Newton, Cousin. Her interest and dedication to the discipline was so strong, that during winter, when her parents denied her warm clothes and a fire in her bedroom to prevent her from studying she kept doing it anyway despite the cold; at the time maths wasn't considered appropriate as a studying discipline for a woman.

When the Polytechnic school opened in 1794, women couldn't attend, but the policy of the school allowed to everyone, who asked for them, notes of the lectures. She requested them under the pseudonym of Antoine-Auguste Le Blanc, a former student who had dropped out. Given that, as a student of the Polytechnic school, one was expected to send written observations about the lectures - a sort of homework - Germain wrote and sent hers to Joseph-Louis Lagrange, one of the teachers and renowned mathematician. The latter was so positively impressed by her essays that requested a meeting with the brilliant student LeBlanc, who unexpectedly had improved so much. She was then forced to reveal her identity. Lagrange was pleasantly surprised to realize Monsieur Le Blanc was in reality a young and talented woman and decided to support her, becoming her mentor.

One of her most noteworthy contribution to mathematics was in number theory, where she proved a special case of the so-called Last Fermat's Theorem (1), which has remained one of the hardest mathematical theorems to prove for more than three centuries and whose final proof was actually found only in 1994 by Andrew Wiles. Other important works of hers include treatises on elastic surfaces, one of which, Recherches sur la théorie des surfaces élastiques, awarded her a prize from the Paris Academy of Science in 1816.

Although she often faced prejudice for being a woman, Germain was praised and also supported by various well-known mathematicians of the time. Some of them include the aforementioned Lagrange, Legendre, who thanks to her work on the Fermat's theorem, was able to prove it for another special case; Cousin himself, Fourier, who managed to grant her the permission to follow the sittings held at the Paris Academy of science and last, but obviously not least, the great Gauss, who after Germain's death advocated for giving her an honorary degree in mathematics.

(1) In short, the Last Fermat's Theorem asserts that for n > 2 there are no integer solutions to the following equation:

with a, b, c being positive integers. Sophie Germain proved the theorem for all numbers n equal to a prime p, so that 2p + 1 is also prime.
