It's like that tiktok meme where you're running away from a bear while your earbuds play uptown funk
Give my man Kim Soleum some wireless earbuds and the most upbeat playlist known to man. THAT is what will get him through the horrors.

So if everything Kim Soleum saw before was an illusion, what are the Dark Exploration records? And why do they have all the information about the ghost stories? Does anyone have any ideas?

No, but imagine Kim Soleum is actually Ireu-nim from the cult of the Luminous Unknown. I think Baek Saheon would finally lose it, lol 🤣

A snippet from chapter 198 (Jisan Village incident) that showcases some aspects of the dynamic between KSM and BSH which I found interesting
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
Ch.198 (after Soleum gets chosen as a sacrifice):
It's funny, but right now I feel like I understand Baek Saheon's feelings better than he does himself.
'…….'
Actually, it's normal for me to feel angry or anxious right now.
This crazy bastard, Baek Saheon, shoved me into his place as a scapegoat, just because he wanted to survive—pushing in a government agent who came to rescue him but simply had no way to do so.
I should be angry, disgusted, anxious and frustrated at being victimized like this, my mind racing desperately to find a way out.
That's how it should be.
But strangely enough, that's not how I feel.
Instead, oddly... I'm feeling somewhat at ease.
This strange feeling where tomorrow and the near future have become uncertain.
'Since I'm trapped here, I don't have to think about anything else.'
No need to worry anymore about wish tickets, Director Ho's taboo restrictions, information I have to find within a month, or even how to handle an agent whose identity has already been exposed.
'Is this literally escapism?'
It's ironic and ridiculous that the threat of death somehow makes me feel relaxed.
But it's true.
That's why I could speak calmly.
Without sympathy or anger.
"I see. I understand."
"Understand?"
Caution returned to Baek Saheon's eyes.
"Are you trying to say stuff like 'Oh poor you, I understand,' then try to convince me that it's still wrong and ask me to let you go?"
"Maybe. But... living each day feeling restless, certain you're going to die soon, unable to trust anything around you, constantly terrified..."
"……."
"I know what that's like."
He looked at me with a subdued expression.
"But still, between the two agents, you picked the lucky one."
"Why, you wanna die or something?"
…….
"A little bit?"
I'm not sure right now.
"Haven't you ever wanted to die? Not even once?"
"……."
"So you have."
"No way," Baek Saheon blurted out suddenly. "I don't want to die. If you wanted to die anyway, good for you. Just stay put then."
"……."
Interesting.
His words don't carry any sense of mockery or ridicule toward me for falling into his trap. Even though he could easily mock me right now, he doesn't seem amused at all.
All I can sense from him is pure selfish desperation for survival.
He doesn't exactly seem guilty either, but rather... as if he's got no room left in him even for guilt.
'Come to think of it, he's always been like this.'

Soleumsaheonpodo.... I find the ship soleum x saheon x grape agent to be SO funny bc Saheon's so head over heels falling for Grape Agent who saved him once (though understandable) and he's still very much terrified of Soleum who's given him lots of items.... also I love saheon harem ❤️

I think KSH knew BSH would freak out and finds it kinda entertaining, actually
I think GSGW has one of the funniest roommate dynamics I've seen maybe ever. Just two guys who are mutually terrified of each other, one because he knows too much and the other because he knows too little

Depends on how friendly is your team, I guess. But something tells me they have to wear white shirts, regardless...

aka watch how my ChoiSol stocks plummet
So, I open twitter in the morning before reading the chapter
>Sees a thread of a person I generally agree with >"I hate him (Agent Choi) even more than Brown now" >Oh god, what did he DO??
But first:
Look at my boy Saheon, growing a conscience *wipes single tear* And now Agent Choi...
I should have left you get into LOOKI MART's 4th floor ...BUTCHA DIDN'T
Ah, what can I say
That was a nasty move, just because we had a little detour in the middle doesn't mean that he still didn't want to throw you into that Glass Prison, Soleum.
But in reality, that's something I've enjoyed about this novel's characters: they can be so vile.
Back in the Talk Show, when Brown turned Soleum into a doll and put him right in the corner of the table, lingering just close enough to the trash can?
When Soleum reached for Choi's scar, knowing that he would react more slowly (possibly due to trauma)?
And now this?
disgusting, give me more of it
-What a pity, Solum-nim.
Yeah, Brown left him to his luck when KSE asked for help, because it would be more entertaining for him that way. But Brown is more or less understandable because he isn't human, Agent Choi, on the other hand?
How did Mr. Tiger General with a very long title that I didn't understand put it....
맹랑한 것
At least look him in the eye while you have the audacity to destroy his only hope.
It's especially painful because we've been seeing Soleum's declining mental state, and then Hyeonmu Team 1 comes to the rescue, things start looking up, Soleum even had the energy to curse at BSH!
But then Agent Choi comes and pulls the rug from under his feet.
...Listen, if ghost stories can manifest from people believing in their existence, can we manifest KSE going home? If we wish hard enough, it could happen! <<Delutional
If anything, I'm curious if we'll finally meet a Dokkaebi inside the Glass Prison, for all their presence in the Agency, it's weird that we haven't seen a single one. (At least if Hyeonmu team leader doesn't count?)
And what happened to Eun Haje, WHAT HAPPENED TO HER??

I once jokingly said that everyone in GSGW is a yandere.
Wow, did I hit the mark? 😃

I've honestly never been a fan of Braun. He's so cold and self-absorbed—it’s hard to connect with him. Saheon, on the other hand, is much more interesting to me. Sure, he’s opportunistic, but there’s a vulnerability to him that makes him feel more human.
I’m really hoping the upcoming arcs will bring him and Soleum closer, allowing them to understand each other better and maybe even get on the same wavelength. Who knows? They might even become friends—or something more (hey, I’m a SolSaheon shipper, what can I say 😉).
Either way, I’m way more invested in their rivalry and evolving dynamic than whatever chaotic nonsense is going on with Braun.

Didn't he mention he had a friend?
It's suspicious that Kim Soleum doesn't even subconsciously think about anything regarding his life back in his home world. He misses nobody. None of the people he meets, nothing he experiences in his daily life reminds him of the people he knew and his life before this world. I wonder if his memory is being actively suppressed.
