Who else is going to have a garden grow around them the first time they kiss the love of their life??? No one!!! And they didn't even see it because they too were busy making out to notice. God I love how caught up in each other they were.

Fri 29th March

Loooovely lie in this morning! We all woke up at 6am but we stayed in bed for family cuddles & snoozing 😴 it was a beautiful day so we went for a nice long walk from the village where we're getting married, then back to the little cafe for lunch. It was just the loveliest day 🥹🥹

The last pic ^ is where we're going to have some of our photos taken up on the moors 🥰

Also, I dug out these leggings I bought probably 2 years ago in the sale that I could never get into (bought a size 6 thinking great they'll stay up for running bc size 8 always seems too loose and I have to be yanking them up all the time, but these are an extremely tight and not very stretchy 6) - I wasn't bloated today so thought I'd see if they were an option and I got into them fine and the waistband wasn't uncomfortably tight, I thought great! A new pair of leggings I can wear for hiking when I'm not bloated! Looked in the mirror and saw they have this awful front seam and give horrible camel toe 😂😂 I was devastated bc I love the colour of them, they're thick, they stay up, they're a nice material... but they look freaking awful 🤣

Anyway. I didn't have any other sports leggings clean and I wanted full length bc it's still chilly, so I wore them anyway out of spite bc this is the first time I've managed to wear them to go anywhere, and just kept my fleece pulled way down all day to hide the situation 😂 In the end I felt mostly cute and thankfully we didn't run into anyone else on our walk 🙌

Did some good spring cleaning when we got home - Matt mowed the garden and cleared out a corner to plant wildflowers, and I did a load of deep cleaning inside. We both finished around 6, had baths, and have cuddled on the couch watching tv and eating our cakes we brought home from the cafe. It has been just the loveliest day ❤️❤️❤️

It does sound dangerous but it wasn't my intention to imply they dropped me in the middle of nowhere or something haha They left me at a gas station right outside the main access to my city and waited with me until my uber arrived to continue their journey!! The girlfriend of my neighbour's son also asked me to share my live location with her for safety reasons, since no one in my family knew I was coming home. And on the way here with them in the car, I sent my location to my best friend since you never know! 😬

So I was really careful despite being a last minute decision! I'm a woman after all 😬

And for the trip back, I already asked my brother to drive me to the same gas station where they'll pick me up 😊

absolutely adorable ahhhhhh hi tumblrina hi hi!! very very flattered that you considered me to ask :(( let me think...

i would say you have to first pinpoint why you write. better said, what do you want your writing to do for the reader? this is just more in general, since it's kind of a given what you want your writing to do in a fanfiction, but this could be pried further open if you think about all of the variety of writing in the fanfic world.

i, for example, am not one to write a whole lot of dialogue and don't focus on the interpersonal connections between characters and go off on long paragraphs describing the inner workings of a character. kind of like a stream of consciousness. my works focus on the feeling. the atmosphere, the location, the emotions, and the thoughts. this also extends to my photography and the other forms of media i consume. my favourite film directors also have a similar style i take great inspiration from. i like to feel what the character is feeling and what the environment feels like, so i take great care describing those aspects. "the vibes", i call it hehe. i want readers to visualize/feel a very specific vibe through my writing. it's atmospheric.

wong kar wai is a huge huge inspo of mine. his movies have a certain energy to them. hazy, vague, dreamy, delirious, highly energetic or deeply empty, familiar and yet so foreign. you fall into a trance watching each frame. i want my writing to evoke similar emotions, so i try to capture a certain vague feeling whenever i write.

where do you get inspired from? what is it that drives you to write? obviously, a writing style takes lots of time to develop and i have been writing for three-four years now and i am STILL trying to refine my style. it's not at all there yet but i have a vision. you should try to visualize how you want your writing to look like. is it dialogue heavy? filled with varying characters? fast paced? slow and languid? revolving around a solid plot? short? long? emotional? which genres do you enjoy the most?

sentence structure is a very telling thing. you can pinpoint which author has written something based on it and their word choices. kind of like a signature or a writing personality. short sentences, fast and curt. long and drawn out sentences, relaxed and thoughtful. which words do you choose to write with? casual? more used-in-daily-life words? find what you like and try sticking with it to see if you're satisfied with it. experimenting is awesome! try out everything.

read read read. reading is essential for any writing to be done. you have to see how people write and how their writings vary in style. the different tones. the different voices. know how they differ. see what can be done through writing and how wide the horizon is, then find an author or writer of any kind that you resonate with and try to pinpoint their habits. try writing like them. it's the best practice when it comes to being a writer. then make it your own in time. you'll find what you like and don't like through trial and error, so no sweat! i have a story in my drafts that i have been rewriting for three years now and i only come back to it once or twice a year and while rewriting the scenes, i realize just how much progress i have made as a writer! it's very validating to see, so time really is the key to it all <3

know your writing rules and have fun breaking them here and there! there is no point in writing without having fun, but it's totally normal to get stressed out over it haha. be careful not to drain yourself too much, lest the all-feared slump make itself known.
